But there is another side of the coin. Nobody wants to go to a low paying job. There is a trend: you want everything at once. And the result – for half a year they have not been able to find a janitor in the kindergarten.

Olga Vladimirovna is a workaholic herself (this is how her parents raised her). And this kind of human thinking does not understand and does not accept. Especially when working with children. After all, this work is daily work. And those who go into it need to be clearly aware that it will be possible to become a good educator when there is a vocation for this work.

It’s good that in “Zaichik” the team is very responsible, friendly, and one can rely on. I would like to tell the manager about my best employees.

There is a speech therapy group in the kindergarten “Zaichik” for children with general underdevelopment of speech. It has 12 children ages 5 to 7. The teacher-speech therapist Victoria Yuryevna Pudova is engaged with them.

Meet Raquel Luna! Raquel is the Center Director at MLK Jr Learning Center in California. Raquel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. She has been with KinderCare since 2006, and she loves it. Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our

classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

Back-Up Care Program – Child and Adult

Bright Horizons Back-Up Care helps to cover care gaps for school breaks or nanny/babysitter vacations in a high-quality child care center, camp program, or at home. You can also arrange temporary in-home care for an adult anywhere in the U.S.

Use the program when you have planned or unplanned interruptions or changes to your usual care arrangements that would prevent you from performing your work responsibilities. While Bright Horizons will make every effort to accommodate care requests, availability is not guaranteed, especially when requests are made less than 24 hours in advance.

The benefit includes up to 10 days of subsidized back-up child and/or adult care per year.

Reservations can be made 60 days in advance for center-based care and in-home care and up to 90 days in advance for camp care.

Employee cost for center-based child care: $15 per child or $25 per family per day. UPDATE: Waived copays for center-based and in-home care in September and October 2022—reserve early!

Employee cost for in-home care for children and adults: $6 per hour.

In-home care requires a minimum of four hours, available up to 10 hours of care in one day. Any number of hours used in one day will count as one day of use.

Co-payments are payable by credit card, debit card, or electronic transfer.

Cancellation policy will now be 2 business days in advance; if care is cancelled due to last minute vaccination status, faculty and employees should call Bright Horizons to receive credit for the day(s) originally scheduled.

* Prior to scheduling care for the first time, you will need to register with Bright Horizons. It is recommended that you register now – even if you have no immediate need for the benefit – to save time when you need to access care.

The University covers the majority of the cost for back-up care. Please note that the value of this care will be reviewed each year to be compliant with IRS guidelines and may result in the need to reflect the value of care as imputed income on your paycheck.

Virtual Camp in Exchange for Back-Up Care Days

Virtual Camps provide families with children 3-12 enrichment and fun, in a virtually supervised format. They are perfect for employees who may be working from home but want an option for their children on a given day in addition to being particularly helpful when children are placed into quarantine.

Virtual Camps will be offered in a variety of interest categories including arts + crafts, STEM activities, movement, games and dance. “Invaluable Experience and Vivid Memories” – News – Banking Institute – National Research University Higher School of Economics and qualities necessary for a successful financier.

— How did you decide to enter the Master’s program and why did you choose the Financial Analyst program?
— In 2014, having a bachelor’s degree in economics from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, I chose between the master’s programs of my alma mater, taking into account the following criteria: a practice-oriented program in analyzing the activities of enterprises, with training in risk management, plus the possibility of combining study with work. I just got a job at the Department of Banking Regulation and Analytics of the Central Bank, among the tasks were the implementation of international standards for risk analysis of banks. The master’s program of the Banking Institute perfectly suited my criteria, the advantage was that most of the training was in English. The choice was obvious to me, later I never regretted it.

— What do you remember most about the learning process?
— Course materials on CFA topics are well-stocked: there is no “water”, lectures are convenient to use even after 6 years, because the topics studied, for example, on financial analysis and the valuation of exchange instruments, are applied everywhere and are still relevant today. There were a lot of case-studies, teamwork, trips on short international programs to European universities – an invaluable experience and vivid memories!

Financial English quickly caught up: I then led a project to implement the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision standard in Russian legislation, and teaching in the language helped a lot.

How useful was the practical knowledge you gained during the program? What, in your opinion, is the main thing for a successful financier ?
— In my work, I apply the acquired knowledge in a variety of areas: knowledge of IFRS and Basel standards helps to solve a range of tasks for regulating the activities of credit institutions, knowledge of the financial market, accounting and financial accounting of market instruments helps in building bank reporting forms , responses to requests from organizations and individuals.

— Did you manage to combine work and study on the program? What would you like to wish future students?
– With the proper level of time management, it is quite possible to combine. During training, I had a clear work schedule from 9 to 6, then couples until half past ten. Sometimes this routine involved studying the material and doing cases at night and on weekends. But, having passed this period, I can call it one of the most productive in the context of personal development.

I wish future students to make the most of their time in the program: HSE has an excellent database of scientific data for various studies, a library with fresh scientific journals and publications, the opportunity to try oneself in a research topic (for example, when writing a master’s thesis) under guidance of top experts in the field under study. Various chats in the Telegram of alumni and students, HSE communities of interest: I graduated 6 years ago, but these points of communication still bring me a lot of information and benefit.

Also, I know from my own experience that sometimes you want to skip some classes or not listen to a lecture, but when the master’s program is equipped with applied methods of financial analysis, which teachers will convey to you as simply as possible, based on real experience “in the fields”, it’s better make more efforts and discipline, hear and remember everything that you are given, than after a while painfully searching the Internet and additional courses for the same information.

Giving One star is far too high a rating !!!
I made an enquiry for pricing on energy. I had no reply to my enquiry but have been bombarded by emails from them for every conceivable service possible. As they could not even satisfy what I enquired I requested they stop harassing me and wasting my, and by extension, my company’s time. No reply other than a continual wave of stupid emails. I now have a blocker fitted to filter them out. I have also instructed all employees in all our group companies NEVER to contact Startup.com. From their point of view a very negative reaction as they will never deal with us or have any more enquiries. What a stupid business plan.

The worst business to deal with!!!

This business is charging its clients without notifying them about the charge.
They do not send any invoice notifications neither payment confirmations nor anything to let you know that your card was charged.

When I asked for a refund they involved their stupid 3 days refund policy!

I’m going with the chargeback to the bank now, I will make everything to get them to pay for their business attitude.

Develop your basic Offering first before asking for more money.

I just cancelled my subscription in the first month. They sell you on the idea of a subscription model for $29 but really its just a excuse you get into their platform. It doesn’t have 600 videos but very few 2-3 minute clips of different people about the topics why? because they want you to pay for more boot camp courses, pay for a coach, pay for more training. It would be fine if they developed their basic offerings and had more options for customers who wanted more but they barley have a basic offering and expect you to pay more.

Startups is a new card game from Oink Games, the Japanese publisher of other micro-box games like Insider and Deep Sea Adventure. Like those games, there’s a good amount of game in a very small box. I’m not sure there’s the depth of Deep Sea Adventure or the charm of Insider here, but I enjoyed my plays and am eager to play again.

Walkthrough

Startups is a hand-management card game with a few helper tokens (cardboard coins, anti-monopoly tokens, and a few others used in a variant). In brief, each card represents a share in one of six companies, with between 5 (Giraffe Beer) and 10 (Elephant Mars Travel) shares per company. Players start with a hand of three cards and ten coins, and take turns drawing and discarding cards. Cards can be drawn blind from the deck, in which case the player places a coin on every card in the market, or from the market, in which case the player takes a card and any coins placed on it. One card is then played either in front of the player as an owned share or to the market. Players take turns until the draw deck is empty, at which point the cards in their hands are added to their owned shares and payouts occur between players.

The payouts are the first twist that makes the game interesting. You score points for having the most shares of company stock, but only if others also have shares. Whoever has the most shares of a company is paid by the other share-owners, at one coin per share. These coins are flipped over and become worth three coins at this point. As a result, your shares are only worth something if others have also invested in the company, and because the coins go up in value from one to three, their end-game value goes up dramatically. This creates an interesting dynamic where you want to have the most, but not all, of the shares of a company.

The second twist is an anti-monopoly rule. If you have the most shares of a company, you get the anti-monopoly token of that company. While you have this token, you can still freely play cards from that company from your hand, but you can’t take cards of that company from the market. (At the same time, you don’t have to place coins on those market cards while drawing from the deck.)

My Thoughts

Startups has all the charm you’d expect from Oink games. The artwork is playful and clever, the game is uncomplicated and quick, and there’s still an interesting game space to explore. The mix of public (which shares I’m investing in) and private (which shares are in my hand) information creates a great back-and-forth guessing game with the other players. As even the largest company only has ten shares of stock, a player hoarding those shares in their hand can either ruin your plans or represent a significant payout at game’s end. As five cards are removed from the deck at the beginning of the game, you’re never quite sure how much hoarding is happening.

The game Startups reminds me most of isn’t actually another stock-based game. It’s Love Letter. Both are small-box games in which players take turns drawing and playing a single card a turn, with a mix of private and public information, and a bit of an end-game surprise. While I would rate Love Letter higher (for clever interaction between cards, for instance), this is one Startup I’m happy to invest in.

Thoughts of Other Opinionated Gamers

Chris Wray (3 Plays): It is a pleasant and quick enough game, but it felt a bit chaotic at the higher player counts. Oink is hit or miss with me — I really love Deep Sea Adventure, but disliked The Pyramid’s Deadline — and I think Startups landed somewhere in between.

Joe Huber (3 plays): This game is largely identical to another game from the same designer (and also published by Oink Games), Rights. Most people I’ve played it with prefer Startups – but for me, Rights is a much better design. Rights makes it much easier for players to actively try to ensure other players have shares, using a different mechanism, and for me allows for more strategic decisions as a result. Rights also doesn’t restrict the player in the lead from grabbing more shares, which again I feel makes for a better tradeoff. Also, while neither game is large, Rights is still half of the size – and has components that fit more satisfyingly in the box. Startups is far from my least favorite game from Oink, but there are a lot I’d rather play.

My Sadik Champion Park is a private kindergarten on Michurinsky Prospekt, where parents are helped to raise healthy, smart and happy children. We accept children from 1 year 2 months. There are 2 teachers in a group of 15 children. We work from 7:30 to 22 hours.

EDUCATIONAL CONCEPT

The concept of the private kindergarten My Sadik Champion Park is based on a special organization of the educational process, which includes:

organization of living conditions: temperature and humidity in the premises, all pine furniture, quality ELC toys;

developmental classes according to age in duration, interests and activity of children;

caring, sensitive educators, in addition to higher pedagogical education, they are also enthusiastic professionals in their field;

we don’t have punishments, but we have discipline, we don’t have suppression of children, but we have motivation and inspiration.

All this allows us to adhere to the principles of health protection, harmonious development and emotional well-being of children.

EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

We have adopted a certain structure of classes for 20-30 minutes, so intellectual development is replaced by sports, creative – by games and vice versa. Thanks to this, preschoolers do not overwork and do not lose interest in learning, despite the rich program.

It’s very diverse of different ethnic and economic backgrounds, and the schools in the area have a lot of up-to-date electronics. They focus mainly on sports and athletics however, so the most work put into the arts department are the students. Students are respectful, but there was an accident that occurred that made me think this school isn’t as safe as I’d thought.

I am currently a senior in Methuen High School and I’ve never been more bombarded with clubs and activities. Resources are always available whenever they’re needed and teachers are everywhere. They care for your readiness to college and want to help you improve in academic skills and want the best for your mental health. They’re at your every need, as well as all around to you, proving that your safety is their number one priority. The math and science departments have excellent teachers that are in love with the subject and create ways to get students more involved. Music and art are always expressed in different, creative ways. The diversity is one of my favorite things about this school. A person can never feel out of place because their a thousands of races, religions, and cultures represented.

Academics were impressive, many students achieved honor roll. Teachers should be treated better by students and school system.

Experts proposed changes to the project on preschool education

A number of changes need to be made to the new draft federal educational program for preschool education. Members of the association “Our Childhood” came up with such an initiative.

The document in question was created by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation together with the Institute of Developmental Physiology of the Russian Academy of Education. It implies the unification of educational programs at all levels, including the preschool level, starting from January next year.

In particular, the program proposes targets for “possible achievements” for each age, pays attention to “forming the foundations of citizenship and patriotism”, love for the motherland. The document even touched upon the list of literary and animated works recommended for preschoolers based on the proposed tasks.

However, members of the Our Childhood Association, which includes authors of preschool education practices and programs, found a number of formulations in the draft that run counter to the Federal State Educational Standard in the field of preschool education.

According to the representative of the organization, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Olga Shiyan, when implementing the program proposed by the Ministry, there is a risk of future dominance in the kindergarten of school educational formats that do not correspond to the characteristics of preschool age.

Strict fixation of the content of education violates the principles of variability and individual approach in “preschool” and is in conflict with the provisions of the state educational standard in the field of preschool education, such as “taking into account the age and individual characteristics of children” and “development of initiative, independence and responsibility” .

In addition, the project makes it virtually impossible to use pre-school education programs such as Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf, Prodetei, Community, Discoveries. This violates the principles of variability in education and cooperation with the family, which may have requests for a specific methodology.

In turn, the requirement for teachers to create separate work programs for education and upbringing increases the amount of paperwork, but does not affect the quality of interaction with children.

As a result of the discussion, the experts of the Our Childhood Association sent an official letter to the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation with a request to review the controversial provisions of the project and make adjustments. After all, this document directly affects the life of kindergartens, the work of each preschool teacher and the future of children.

Experts suggested paying more attention to supporting the initiative of children, turning each child into a full-fledged subject of education:

“Without such support, it is impossible to prepare children for either a modern school or a modern knowledge economy, which implies a subjective position, the ability to make an informed choice,” experts say.

Members of the Our Childhood association consider it appropriate to rely on the existing GEF DO, shift attention from age guidelines to the individual abilities of the child, refuse to unify programs and replace “schooling” with the active use of play as a leading activity in kindergartens.

It is also recommended to provide greater freedom to teachers and organizations in the selection of the content of education, to pay more attention to the concept of “developing object-spatial environment”.
