An American woman who tried to protect adopted children from Russia in Texas herself was put on trial for this
April 2, 2013, 21:50
WASHINGTON, April 3. /Corr. ITAR-TASS Andrey Shitov/. American Diana Black, who tried to protect adopted children from Russia in Texas, paid the price for her kindness. As she told the corr. ITAR-TASS, she herself is now facing trial on charges of inciting children to leave home.
In August 2008, Black, a psychotherapist and owner of Roosevelt House, a private orphanage in Hardin County, Texas, was sent by the state to inspect the family of Michael and Penny Deckert. They lived with their adult son and three adopted children – son Zachary and daughters Kelly and Chloe. Five years earlier, they took them to be raised in Russia, in Krasnokamsk. Their Russian names are Alexey, Anastasia and Svetlana Klimov. The eldest at that time still remembered some Russian words – “brother”, “relatives”, “thank you”. nine0003
What he saw amazed the social worker. Dirty, hungry and ragged children appeared before her, obviously afraid of their adoptive parents. The survey showed that their level of intellectual development was even above average, but they did not shine with knowledge, because they did not go to school. Alexei-Zakari was expelled from it for stealing food and money. He did not deny that he took someone else’s: according to him, other children themselves sometimes gave him money out of pity. And the adoptive father lamented along the way that “no one wants to formally file charges” against the child, who at that time was 12 years old. nine0003
Michael Deckert made no secret of the fact that he would gladly get rid of the boy, leaving only “more obedient” girls in the family. Black offered to take Alexei to her shelter and even took him away with the consent of the unfortunate parent, but he soon came for him, as the local sheriff explained to him that he could be held accountable for failure to fulfill parental duties and even collect alimony.
Even more than their father, the children were afraid of their adoptive mother. According to them, she beat Alexei whenever he caught her eye, using a mop handle or a long electric cable for this. She put me in a corner – with bare knees on scattered rice, – locked me in a cramped closet with a bucket for sewage. In this stinking closet, he, according to him, often spent whole days, freeing himself only to do some housework. Later, the eldest of the sisters began to join him there. nine0003
In her audit report, Black concluded that children were subjected to “malicious abuse” and that continued exposure to such conditions was fraught with danger to their health. She was sure that the adopted children would be taken away from the Deckerts. But this did not happen either then or later. That is why, by the way, no one is in a hurry to put any special hopes on the latest investigation launched on suspicion of violating the rights of children.
The woman tried her best to help Alexei-Zakari and his sisters. She bought clothes for the boy, arranged for local dentists to repair for free the front teeth broken by his mother (namely, by the mother: this was reflected in the medical record and later confirmed at court hearings). She complained to the social security, the sheriff’s office and the prosecutor’s office. I sometimes heard consolations in response that, they say, they will grow up and leave the family themselves. nine0003
Alexei did not wait for this. Actually, Black was sent with an inspection to the Deckerts after he, according to his adoptive father, “ran away for the eighth time.” And subsequently, he constantly ran away from home, no matter what locks, including those with motion detectors, locked him up. At first, he survived for two or three days, feeding himself in the forest and with compassionate neighbors. And in June last year, he left completely, promising to return after coming of age and release the sisters. Those, as far as is known, are waiting for him. nine0003
One day, in the spring of 2009, they all ran away together. First we hid with the neighbors, then asked for help from Black. She thought, consulted with her colleagues, took her friend with her as a witness – and went “for the truth” to the capital of Texas, the city of Austin. I asked for an appointment with the head of the relevant department of the state government. She suggested meeting at a restaurant with the children. Alexei wanted to run away immediately upon arrival in Austin, but Black asked him not to do this, and he obeyed. nine0003
In the restaurant, the truth seeker was detained by the police. In front of the children, a friend and astonished visitors, they handcuffed me and took me to the police station.
As a result, Black ended up in court. And along the way, she also lost her license for professional activities. True, it was later restored, but this did not save the Roosevelt House. The house was closed.
But the authorities are somehow in no hurry to judge her. Dates were set several times, but meetings were canceled at the last moment. They offered to drop the charges altogether, and Black even agreed, but she came to sign the papers and saw that only one of the three points had been withdrawn. So she left without signing, and now she decided that the only way to end the case was by a jury trial. The meeting is scheduled for May 14th. nine0003
IN TEXAS – Our Texas – Russian Newspaper in Houston, Dallas, San-Antonio, Austin, Texas
The first case of the dreaded Ebola has been reported in America. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas said one of the patients had been tested for Ebola. Unfortunately, the result is positive. Also, the second person who came into contact with the sick person is under observation, since the incubation period of the fever lasts about 20 days. nine0003
Previously, in other states of America, 12 people had already taken a similar test, but then the suspicion of fever was not confirmed.
The patient (representatives of the clinic do not say whether he is a man or a woman) has just returned from a trip to Africa. He is now in quarantine, but authorities say the chance of Dallas residents being infected is very low. “Infection occurs only as a result of direct contact with human fluids. You are not going to enter into such close contact with him? We hope to avoid panic among the city’s residents,” says Dallas County Health Commissioner Zach Thompson. He also noted that unlike the countries of West Africa, in which more than 3 thousand people have already died from this virus, Dallas has everything necessary to cope with the fever. nine0003
Construction of the world’s first commercial spaceport began on September 22 in Brownsville. The grand “launch” of the project was attended by SpaceX President Elon Musk and state governor Rick Perry, who already calls South Texas “the territory of space.”
Construction has begun, and the first rocket will be launched into space, as Musk promises, as early as 2016. “It is quite possible that the first man will fly to another planet from this spaceport! Cape Canaveral and Cape Vandenberg are excellent launch pads, but they are located on military bases. I believe that such commercial spaceports are necessary for the further development of space, just as people need commercial airports for flights, ”says Elon Musk. nine0003
This launch pad was funded by the State of Texas for $15.3 million. The project will help create 300 new jobs and $85 million in capital investment. Students enrolled next year at the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley will work on projects related to SpaceX activities. Also, Francisco Cigarroa, rector of the UT System University, proposed to establish a research center in the city called “Stargate” (Stargate) for scientific work and the development of new technologies. nine0003
More recently, Connie Wilson lived in California with her three children and partner Aimee. Now the family has moved to Houston and immediately the lesbian couple is in trouble. The fact is that a year ago in California, women registered their relationship, and Connie took the name of her wife. But in our state, this new surname is considered invalid from a legal point of view. As a result, Connie can’t get a driver’s license here, she was told during a visit to the Texas Department of Public Safety office in Pasadena. nine0003
“It’s hard to face the fact that someone can tell me that I can’t live by my own name, and I can’t have the last name that my children have,” Connie says. Even if she wanted to return her maiden name (and she does not intend to do this), she would have to run around with the re-issuance of papers and pay a fee.
But instead, she caught the attention of the local authorities and is now being investigated by Senate member Sylvia Garcia.
About 700 babies born between September 2013 and August this year at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso are undergoing urgent TB screening. The fact is that this disease was discovered in one of the hospital workers. nine0003
After interviewing a medical worker in the maternity ward, it turned out that he had not been tested for tuberculosis until August 21, although he had first symptoms in December. When testing other hospital staff, no one tested positive for active TB. However, many may be carriers of the TB virus, and symptoms of the disease may appear much later.
El Paso Public Health officials are trying to figure out the cause of the infection. nine0003
Round Rock couple Justin and Ashley Olson will remember this anniversary for a long time. On September 12, the family went to the Mexican resort of Cabo San Lucas to celebrate 11 years since their wedding. The threat of an approaching hurricane did not bother them: according to meteorologists, he was heading in the other direction. However, the meteorologist believes, and God disposes: an unpredictable hurricane has changed direction towards Cabo.
The family stayed in the hotel room, as did other unfortunate tourists. The room was filled with water up to 4 inches, there was almost no electricity, and no one could contact their loved ones. Flights from the local airport were also cancelled. Instead of sumptuous meals, hotel workers offered only meager rations, looters raged all around, which was frightening, despite the presence of armed guards. The roads were washed out, and people often came to the hotel asking for asylum. nine0003
Only by September 18 the tourists were evacuated to the airport. There was no roof on the building, which did not prevent the Olson spouses from flying away with other victims: representatives of the American embassy allocated $ 600 each for air tickets. After waiting in line for 10 hours, they flew to San Francisco and returned home from there.
The following year, Justin and Ashley decided to just quietly celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary at a nearby restaurant.
Autumn has come, which means it’s time to collect… salamanders! In the upper reaches of the San Marco River lives a rare amphibian called the fragile salamander (San Marcos salamanders, Eurycea nana). It is found only here, nowhere in the world does this type of amphibian exist. Now the animal is under the threat of extinction, and therefore, twice a year, in autumn and spring, scientists and volunteers catch salamanders for reproduction in an artificial environment in order to save the population. nine0003
Salamanders live in clean, running water, and reddish algae (the color of their skin) help them find shelter. After a long drought in Texas, the water in amphibian habitats has become more silty, which poses a threat to salamanders, since they receive 80% of their oxygen through the skin. “We really hope that there will be enough rain this season. Drought is one of the biggest threats to salamanders, whose habitat is very limited,” say Aquatic Resources Center staff. nine0003
Keller resident Margaret Carter is suing employees at North Hills Hospital. Margaret Carter accuses them of negligence in caring for her two years ago when she was ill with West Nile fever. The doctors could not make a correct diagnosis, and as a result, Margaret had to move to another hospital, where she was tested for fever, which turned out to be positive. If Carter had not left that hospital, she, according to her, might simply not survive. nine0003
Margaret and her sister Nancy Capuano, who have been nurses themselves for many years, said that clinic staff, including neurologists, were completely unable to help a person suffering from seizures and other serious symptoms. A neurologist was reluctantly called in and concluded that she had “brain damage”. As a result of the unprofessionalism of the doctors, help was not provided immediately, and the patient’s condition worsened. Margaret suffered from partial memory loss, and then, after moving to another clinic, she underwent rehabilitation for three months: she learned to walk and talk again. nine0003
The hospital staff plead not guilty and released a statement: “North Hills Hospital has been caring for patients for over 50 years and providing the highest level of care.” The circumstances of the case are being investigated.
Nearly $8,000 is a water bill recently received by Houston resident Omesha Mobley. The fact is that a water pipe, which provides water to the entire microdistrict, has recently broken through, and the entire street was flooded with water. However, it broke through where it lies underground in the area in front of Omesha’s house. “I called representatives of the municipal service, and they repaired the pipe for several days.

The planet heard the news: “The Russian guy has flown!” —
And every boy wanted to become an astronaut hero!
The space theme has always been interesting for children. Strong and courageous people – astronauts, the mystery of the planets, the possibility of life of other civilizations on these planets excite and captivate the younger generation.
Kindergarten No. 4 hosted a thematic week dedicated to space, which turned out to be rich and fruitful. Teachers of the senior and preparatory groups planned and carried out various activities. The children were captivated by conversations on the topics: “Earth is the blue pearl of the Universe”, “Animals are astronauts”, “What is weightlessness?”, “The legend of Daedalus and Icarus”. The guys examined balloons, airships, airplanes, planes, helicopters on slides. Children asked questions, reasoned, drew conclusions. With great interest they got acquainted with the solar system in which our planet Earth is located, learned about the Moon, the Earth’s satellite.
Teachers held an educational lesson “Journey into space” and an evening of riddles on a space theme. And verbal, didactic, role-playing games contributed to the consolidation of the material, the expansion of the children’s vocabulary, horizons. The preschoolers reflected the knowledge gained in productive activities. Under the guidance of adults, they made beautiful applications on the themes “Space” and “Rocket”. Children of the preparatory group (educators S.E. Prokofyeva and N.V. Leonova) made beautiful aircraft during modeling classes.
The teacher of the senior group A.V. Danilova and the music director Yu.B. Artyom Pabor, Liza Larionova, Serafim Shirikov and Nadya Konusova read previously learned poems, sang cheerful songs in unison, and Daryana Titova played the role of the Moon. Musical and motor games “Rocketdrome”, “Lunatics” and “Silver Moon” brought a lot of joy to children, in which they could feel involved in the world of space. With love, the preschoolers spoke about the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, listened to the popular song “Do you know what kind of guy he was”, written by Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov, looked at photographs of other cosmonauts – German Titov, Andrian Nikolaev, Pavel Popovich, Valery Bykovsky, Alexei Leonov, Valentina Tereshkova.
Pupils of the senior group, together with teachers A.V. Danilova, N.S. Shupilova and their parents, visited the district library, whose employees held an exciting event with the children “What do we know about space and astronauts?”
The thematic week turned out to be necessary and useful for the children. They were able to realize their involvement in the life of the Motherland, the planet, imbued with a sense of pride and respect for their country, famous people – true patriots of the Fatherland.

spend Cosmonautics Day in kindergarten
Space is a fascinating topic for both adults and children. Mysterious aliens, unexplored spaces and intergalactic ships – all this can be an occasion for educational games, creative performances and educational quests that will unite kindergarten and families. Educators-residents of the “University of Childhood” community share ideas on how to spend Cosmonautics Day in an exciting and useful way.
Star Lapbook
The lapbook is a folder book with lots of interactive elements that kids can open, twist and move. Tatyana Sayfurakhmanova, a teacher from kindergarten No. 7 in the city of Cheremkhovo, decided to scale the laptop and make it out of a cardboard rocket that had been standing in the corridor for a long time and did not arouse interest among the kids.
From improvised materials, Tatiana and her children came up with space decorations: the constellations of the Milky Way were drawn inside the roof, multi-colored plasticine planets were attached to one side of the base, and books with exercises for speech development were attached to the other. At the request of the speech therapist, a mirror was glued to the rocket to make it more interesting for children to do articulation gymnastics, and educational materials about space and plot pictures were hidden under the wings, according to which preschoolers made up stories.
The children liked the lapbook so much that they even took turns taking it home, and the parents added new elements to it. Some of them put miniature aliens in the rocket, and the children were able to turn the director’s game around them. By the summer, the rocket finally became portable, and the kids, together with the speech therapist, went out into the yard to do articulation gymnastics around it.
Cardboard lapbook worn but not missing. The guys liked the pictures and figures that were in it so much that they still play with pleasure with different parts of the rocket.
Star lapbook pluses:
active involvement of children and parents;
development of imagination and fine motor skills;
memorable presentation of educational material;
flexibility, versatility, mobility.
Dance of the astronauts
The theme of space is so multifaceted that it can become a concept for events not just for one day, but for the whole year. It was she who became the motive for 2021 in kindergarten No. 226 in the city of Novokuznetsk, and the kids opened the space season with the dance “Future Cosmonauts”.
Dance, according to the music director, Inna Nichik, develops imagination and creativity in kids, the ability to control their bodies. The main thing is to choose a song with clear lyrics that young astronauts will like and remember. Inna succeeded, and now the children often hum their favorite tune, repeat the movements and ask to turn on their favorite music while charging.
Preparing the performance brings children and parents closer together: they come up with characters and costumes together, draw decorations. So, thanks to family creativity, the kindergarten now has aliens, space fairies and moon cats in fantastic clothes.
Advantages of dance numbers:
active physical activity;
teamwork of children and parents;
development of creativity, coordination and muscle memory, public speaking skills.
Space quest
An alien came to the kids and asked for help: space pirates captured her planet and stole the rays from the sun. Now her house is always dark, and only children can bring back the light. Such a plot was invented by teachers for a space quest in kindergarten No. 7 of the city of Cheremkhovo.
Children traveled from station to station with their parents, completing tasks and collecting rays of the sun to help the alien guest. The kids built rockets by cells, collected pictures of space transport lego-schemes, performed graphic dictation and played intergalactic volleyball with balloons.
All generations took part in the quest: children, parents, and grandmothers. With some tasks, the guys themselves helped adults, since they already had experience in completing them. As a result, the alien managed not only to return the sun to her planet, but also to unite the kindergarten and families.
Space Quest Pros:
active physical activity;
teamwork of children and parents;
development of fine motor skills and logical thinking.
Multi-colored planets
Yulia Trukhlova, teacher-psychologist of kindergarten No. 99 in the city of Rybinsk, advises using an event approach when preparing holidays in the garden. Its essence is that the kids themselves choose the days that they would like to spend in a special way and share their ideas with educators who help them bring them to life. Children really like that adults listen to them and share their desires.
This year’s Cosmonautics Day, kids wanted to live on colorful planets of disobedience, fire, flowers and superheroes. For example, on the planet of disobedience, a pajama party will be repeated from April 1, where children were allowed to arrange pillow fights and play twister, and on the planets of superheroes and flowers, activities will be recreated from February 23 and March 8. All day long, young astronauts will eat fruit puree from tubes, and older guys who go to a computer science course will draw an animated rocket in a special program.
The eventful approach develops the ability to empathize, be emotionally involved, cooperate with others, respect other people’s boundaries and the right to individuality. Therefore, after the event, educators will discuss with the children how the holiday went, and the kids will evaluate their behavior in the portfolio of events.
Pros of the event approach:
development of independence and initiative;
active development of empathy and empathy, evaluation of one’s own behavior:
development of creativity and imagination.
Tactile planets and space phone
Eva Nikitina, an early development teacher from the Gagarin children’s center in Sterlitamak, notes that space competitions are easy to build, starting from the physical characteristics of the planets. The largest force of gravity on the planet Neptune, which means that it includes tasks for the transfer of heavy objects. On Pluto, the body becomes weightless – accordingly, we use jumps here. There are gas planets, the story of which is conveniently associated with environmental topics.
Exploring the characteristics of the planets is the working basis for the space day scenario for toddlers 2 to 4 years old. Children at this age develop through the development of sensory standards, so it is interesting to acquaint them with the planets through contact with objects that are different in size, color, volume and temperature. They can be counted, compared, classified and their properties described.
First grade poems are usually introduced as short pieces of text with shorter, rhyming words. This provides practice with reading fluency and intonation, which kids are also working on in first grade. Poems are used to teach students how to identify rhyming words and word families too. Through poetry, first graders begin to understand how sensory words are used to paint a mental picture.

What Is a Poem for Grade 1?
In first grade, children are developing phonological awareness so the best first grade poems feature grade-level vocabulary, rhyming words, and imagery to make the poem come alive.
Teachers often use funny poems to inspire students and keep their attention. Poems about nature, the seasons, weather, and food are also high interest topics at this stage.
Eventually, children are introduced to longer poems and poems that use literary techniques other than rhyme.
In partnership with Teach Simple, whose marketplace is full of educational materials created by actual teachers and professional educators (plus 50% of all revenues go to them), I’ve found a diverse list of fun, high-interest first grade poems. This list includes poems that can be used to teach different literary skills and concepts. Some poems can even be paired with specific topics students are learning about for a holistic lesson.

”Guess What I Am” Poem
If you are looking to introduce your students to a poem that does not rhyme, this is a good one. “Guess What I Am”is written with short words and phrases using descriptive terms that describe an animal in each verse. First graders will have fun putting the clues together to guess the animal.
This is a great format for practicing reading fluency. The teacher can model intonation and fluency as a read-aloud, and then students can read it to themselves or a partner. The activity that goes along with the poem requires students to use adjectives to write their own verse.

How Do You Teach a Poem to a First Grader?
When introducing poetry in first grade, start with short poems with simple, rhyming words so students can use their phonological awareness to successfully read the poems. When they start to get the hang of it, introduce poems that are a little bit longer, like list poems, haikus, and poems that do not use rhyming words.
Another teaching technique is to write out poems that rhyme on chart paper. Cover up the second word in a rhyming set and let your students figure out the word, using what they know about word families and phonics.
You can also let students brainstorm sensory words to use in poetry, using graphic organizers from this Sensory Poetry Writing resource to learn how to paint a picture with words. The key to introducing first grade poems is to choose poems that are high interest and relatable to your students.

Poems for Grade 1 – read a class selection online I’m going A satchel, copybooks, notebooks A bright holiday is walking across the country In September, in September Hello, school year, school! First grade is the first perky bell I have a holiday today Satchel, copybooks, notebooks A watchmaker, nice nice We were preschoolers We were first-graders We go to first grade
The transition from childhood to a new level is the first grade. It is important that learning from the first days becomes a source of joy for the child, and not chronic stress. Kind and funny poems for grade 1 – this is where it is desirable to start acquaintance with the school. A lot is written about the school. Russian and Soviet classics wrote about her, and even now incredibly talented contemporaries write about her. These are funny quatrains and plot works. It is important that by offering them to first-graders, we form a positive image of the place where they will study. And if a child begins to memorize those verses that he chooses himself, you will solve many problems at once. Because poetry is memory, it is a sense of rhythm, it is a sense of the word, it is, finally, a sense of humor! We offer your first-graders an excellent selection of children’s poems about school: from Russian classics to sparkling modernity. Learn with pleasure!

First grader, first grader
First grader, first grader – Dressed up like a holiday! Didn’t even go into the puddle: I looked and passed.
Ears washed to a shine, Scarlet mushroom on the lid of the satchel, And he himself is like a fungus – Looking sideways from under his cap: Can everyone see? Does everyone know? Does everyone sigh with envy?
I am not small now

Why is Petya today
Why is Petya today Woke up ten times? Because today he is Entering first grade.
He is no longer just a boy, And now he is a beginner. He has a new jacket on Turn-down collar.
He woke up in a dark night, It was only three o’clock. He was terribly frightened, That the lesson had already begun.
He got dressed in two minutes, He grabbed a pencil case from the table. Papa rushed after him, Caught up with him at the door.
Neighbors stood up behind the wall, Electricity was lit, Neighbors got up behind the wall, And then lay down again.
He woke up the whole apartment, Could not fall asleep until morning. Even my grandmother dreamed, That she was repeating the lesson.
Even grandfather had a dream, That he was standing at the blackboard And he could not find the Moskva River on the map .
Why did Petya wake up ten times today? Because today he is Entering first grade.

Beautiful in soul and very kind
Soul beautiful and very kind,
You are strong in talent and generous in heart.
All your ideas, dreams of beauty,
Lessons, undertakings will not be in vain!
You managed to find the way to the children,
May you have success along the way!
Draw cat
This is nobody’s cat,
She doesn’t have a name.
At the broken window
What kind of life does she have here?
She is cold and damp.
Cat’s paw hurts
And take her to an apartment
My neighbor won’t let me.
Crocodiles
Please don’t slide down the railing
You can get in the teeth of crocodiles!
They lurk on every platform
And everyone who moves out is grabbed by the heels
And dragged to the bottom of the African Nile.
Please don’t slide down the railing!
good news
Have you heard the good news?
I’ll be exactly six soon!
And if a person is six,
And he has notebooks
And there is a satchel, and there is a form,
And counting sticks do not count,
And he tries to read
That means he (or rather, I),
That means he (or rather, I),
He’s going to school!
Poems for the first class of Russian poets
Alexey Pleshcheev “Spring”
The snow is already melting, streams are running,
Spring blew through the window …
The nightingales will soon whistle,
And the forest will be dressed in foliage!
Clear sky azure,
The sun became warmer and brighter,
It’s time for evil blizzards and storms
Again for a long time passed . ..
Irina Tokmakova “Autumn”
Empty birdhouse –
The birds have flown
Leaves on the trees
It also doesn’t fit.
All day today
Everything is flying, flying…
Apparently, also in Africa
They want to fly.
Agniya Barto “Word Game”
Say it louder
The word “thunder”
The word rumbles
Like thunder
Say more quietly:
“Six mice”
And immediately mice
They will rustle.
Say:
“Cuckoo on a bitch” –
You will hear:
“Ku-ku.”
Georgy Ladonshchikov “Winter Joy”
White snow-snow
It burns, it prickles.
Come out buddy
For the neighborhood.
There is a snowball mountain
Powdered
There’s a ski track yesterday
I have laid.
Let’s run with you
To the blue forest
Let’s bring it home
Winter joy.
Athanasius Fet – Mom! look out the window…
Mom! look out the window –
Know that yesterday it was not for nothing that the cat
Washed the nose
There is no dirt, the whole yard is dressed,
Brightened, whitened –
Apparently it’s cold.
Not scratchy, light blue
Frost is hung on the branches –
Just look at you!
Like someone with a beef
Fresh, white, plump cotton
Removed all bushes.
Now there will be no dispute:
For the sled, and uphill
Have fun running!
Really, mom? You won’t refuse
And you might say to yourself:
“Well, hurry up for a walk!”
Poems for memorization for grade 1
A. Borodsky – We built a house
We built a spacious
Four storey house.
And for all your toys
We will find a place in the house.
There are windows and doors in the house,
The roof is painted...
Toys will live here.
Well they will be here!
E. Blaginina – Admire the toys!
I, as a mother, do not love
In a house of chaos.
I'll spread the blanket
Rough and smooth.
For down pillows
I'll put on a muslin.
Admire, toys,
To work for me!
V. Berestov – Reader
How good it is to be able to read!
You don't have to go to your mom
No need to shake grandma:
“Read, please! Read!"
You don't have to beg your sister.
"Well, read another page."
You don't have to call
No need to wait
Can you take -
And read!
A. Kuznetsova – Girlfriends
We had a fight with a friend
and sat in the corners.
Very boring without each other!
We need to reconcile.
I didn't offend her
I only held Mishka,
Only with Mishka ran away
And she said, "I won't."
I will go and make peace.
I'll give her a Bear, I'm sorry
I'll give her a doll, I'll give her a tram
And I'll say: "Let's play!"

Raw fog creeps.

Autumn comes and sows
Fragrant mushrooms!

Hedgehog ate a sandwich
Open mouth wide
He champed and groaned –
This is how you want to eat!

Marshak’s poems for 1st grade students learn by heart
Samuil Marshak – What Petya was afraid of
Petya is afraid of the dark.
Peter says to mom:
— May I, mother, sleep in the light?
Let the fire burn all night.
Mom answers: — No! —
Click – and turned off the light.
It has become quiet and dark.
A fresh breeze blew through the window.
Petya saw in the dark
Man against the wall.
Turned out at dawn
It’s a jacket and pants.
Sleeves like arms
The jacket moved slightly,
And the pants danced themselves
From the night breeze
Petya saw in the dark
I’m walking with Baba Yaga.
Turned out at dawn
This is a stove with a poker.
This is an oven,
Not a yog
Not a leg
A poker
Petya saw in the dark:
The giant is looking down.
Turned out at dawn
This is an old suitcase.
High – roof scale –
Dad put the suitcase
And two castles shone
Under the moon, like two pupils.
Every time you meet Petya
Children talk to each other:
– This is Petya Ivanov.
He was scared of his pants!
He was afraid of Yaga –
Old rusty poker!
Petya heard in the yard,
How the kids laugh at him.
— No, he said, I am not a coward!
I’m not afraid of the dark!
Since then never Petya
Didn’t go to bed in the light.
Suitcases and pants
Petya is no longer afraid.
And you, other children,
You should not sleep in the light.
In order to see dreams
Lamps are not needed at all!
Samuil Marshak – The House That Jack Built
Here is the house,
that Jack built.
And this is wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
And this is a cheerful tit bird,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
Here is a cat,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
Here is a dog without a tail,
Who pats the cat by the collar,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
And this is a hornless cow,
Kicking an old dog without a tail,
Who pats the cat by the collar,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
And this is an old woman, gray-haired and strict,
Who milks a hornless cow,
Kicked an old dog without a tail,
Who pats the cat by the collar,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
And this is a lazy and fat shepherd,
Who quarrels with a strict cowshed,
Who milks a hornless cow,
Kicked an old dog without a tail,
Who pats the cat by the collar,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
Here are two roosters,
who wake up that shepherd,
Who quarrels with a strict cowshed,
Who milks a hornless cow,
Kicked an old dog without a tail,
Who pats the cat by the collar,
Which scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
that Jack built.
Samuil Marshak – Quiet Tale
You will read this fairy tale
Quiet, quiet, quiet…
Once upon a time there was a gray hedgehog
And his hedgehog.
Gray hedgehog was very quiet
And the hedgehog too.
And they had a child
Very quiet hedgehog.
The whole family go for a walk
At night along the paths
Hedgehog-father, hedgehog-mother
And a baby hedgehog.
Along the deaf autumn paths
They walk quietly: top-top-top …
The forest people have been sleeping for a long time.
Both the beast and the bird sleep.
But in the darkness, in the silence of the night
Two wolves can’t sleep.
Here they go to rob
Silent step wolves …
They heard their hedgehogs
Raised the needles.
Became round like a ball –
No heads, no legs.
They say:
– Hide your head
Hurry up, cute hedgehog!
Hedgehog cringed, upright
Raised a hundred needles…
The wolf spun around,
Whimmed, jumped.
Paw – sense, teeth – click.
And afraid to bite.
The wolf departed, limping,
The wolf came up.
She spins the hedgehog:
He has a round back.
Where is the neck, belly,
Nose and both ears?..
She began to ride
Ball on the road.
And hedgehogs – father and mother –
Prickly wolf legs.
Hedgehog and hedgehog
Needles, like a Christmas tree.
snarling and trembling,
The wolves are retreating.
Hedgehogs whisper to a hedgehog:
– Don’t move, lie down.
We don’t trust wolves
And don’t trust them!
So we wouldn’t leave soon
Rise up the wolves
Yes heard in the distance
Double shot shot.
The dog barked and fell silent …
The wolf says to the she-wolf:
– Something can’t work for me.
I would also cringe…
I’ll hide, old woman,
Nose and tail under the belly!
And she answered him:
– Throw empty talk!
I don’t have with you
Not a single needle.
The forester will take us alive.
We’d better leave on time!
And they left with their tails between their legs,
Wolf with a she-wolf in the bushes.
The hedgehog will return to the forest house,
Hedgehog and hedgehog.
If you read a fairy tale
Quiet.
Quiet,
Quiet…
Samuil Marshak – Rainbow-arc
Spring sun with rain
Building a rainbow together
seven color semicircle
Of the seven wide arcs.
No sun and rain
Not a single nail
And built in two counts
Celestial Gate.
Rainbow arch
blazed brightly,
Decorated the grass
Bloomed blue.
A rainbow-arc glitters.
Meadows are visible through it.
And beyond the farthest meadow –
A field plowed with a plow.
And beyond the field through the fog –
Only sea-ocean,
Only the sea is blue
With white foam of the surf.
Here from the rainbow gate
A round dance comes to us,
Runs out from under the arch
Brings gifts to the whole earth.
And something is not here!
First leaf and first color
The first mushroom and the first thunder
Rain glittering with silver
The days are growing and the nights are
Whatever the day, it is shorter.
Hey guys, hurry up
Get out, out the door
To fields, forests and parks
Receive your gifts!
Hurry, Hurry
Run out the door
Barefoot on the grass
Walking straight into the sky.
Okay!
Okay!
By the rainbow
By the rainbow
By color
arc
On one leg
Riding down the rainbow
And somersault to the ground!
Samuil Marshak – Who is he
The city came to us once
Mr Flint, overseas visitor.
He was smartly dressed
And he held a cane in his hand.
With a blue flower in the buttonhole,
In a white hat on one side
He traveled around the capital
By car all day long.
Beyond the river in the silence of the outskirts
He asked his companion:
– Sorry, who’s the boss?
Those country villas?
From a car window
Sputnik read the sign
And he said: -In this villa
Resting Komsomol.
Samuil Marshak – Giant
times,
Two,
Three,
Four.
The story begins.
In the one hundred and thirteenth apartment
The giant lives with us.
On the table he builds towers,
Builds a city in five minutes.
Faithful horse and homemade elephant
They live under his table.

Everything around loves and sings;
In the morning the sky is clear and transparent,
At night the stars shine so bright;
Why is it so dark in your soul

Ate forty people
Both cow and bull
And a crooked butcher
And the cart, and the arc,
And a broom, and a poker,
Ate the church, ate the house,
And a forge with a blacksmith,
And then he says:
“My stomach hurts. ”
Cowberry ripens
The days got colder.
And from the bird’s cry
The heart is only sadder.
Flocks of birds fly away
Away, beyond the blue sea.
All the trees are shining
In multi-colored attire.

Autumn walks along the alleys,
To visit us, she went into the yard,
Decorated the trees
She turned on the shower and left.
Mixed rain and leaves
Puddles with gurgles sing,
On a birch, a fox coat,
Terrible clouds are floating.
***
Mom is sad…
Maybe she forgot
How to ride in the rain
In his blue coat.
Just like a girl
Drops to the beat laughed loudly.
She needs to be reminded.
Come on, fun and friendly
We put on boots
And we run out into the rain.
One, two, three, four, five
Autumn we go to look for …

Outside the window is autumn,
Leaf fall rustles,
The maple has shed all its leaves,
He seems to be sleeping.
And the birch bends
From the crazy wind

Producer is a person in the entertainment industry who manages creative, financial, technological and other processes. By the way, the ProfGid career guidance center has recently developed an accurate career guidance test that will tell you which professions suit you, give an opinion about your personality type and intelligence.
The profession is suitable for those who are interested in economics, law and world art culture (see.
choosing a profession based on interest in school subjects).
A producer must have an intuition that helps him determine whether a particular project will be popular. Special knowledge in the field of PR, marketing and advertising will not interfere with him.
Music producer
Music producer organizes and promotes musical projects. At the initial stage, he analyzes the music market and, in accordance with this, comes up with the concept of a project (for example, an album), determines in what style the future material will be performed, how many people will be involved, selects material, finds performers, etc. Then he is looking for money to implement his plans. (Usually sponsors are investors who expect to receive a financial return.) The producer chooses a studio for recording musical material, selects sound engineers, and controls the recording process itself. He is also engaged in the promotion of artists, thinks through their image, manages the work of photographers, image makers, stylists, make-up artists, etc. He gives songs to the radio for their rotation, selects a creative team for shooting video clips, which will then be shown on television.
In addition to all this, the producer organizes concerts and tours. Of course, throughout the work he solves financial issues.

Theatrical producer
Theatrical producer organizes theatrical performances. He comes up with a plot or chooses a finished play for a future performance, comes up with a general concept for the production, conducts casting, etc. In addition to creative tasks, the producer solves various administrative and economic issues. In particular, he finds money to set up, turning to investors or a bank for a loan, monitors the spending of these funds, and, if necessary, solves problems with the premises (concludes a lease agreement). In addition to actors, he hires other participants in the process: the theater director, director.
A theater producer sets ticket prices, the number and time of showings, and deals with advertising.
A TV channel producer is responsible for the operation of the TV channel as a whole. He deals with completely different issues: from thinking through the ideas of television shows to personnel decisions. Therefore, there are two groups of television producers. Some are responsible for the creative concept of the channel, deal with budget issues and contracts with partners. Others report to the chief producer, dealing with specific broadcast projects. Many television shows are produced by independent television studios that sell their products to channels. These studios are also run by producers. Sometimes, if the studio is small, the producer has to be not only the leader, but also the performer of the work.

The film producer organizes the financing, production and distribution of the film. In other words, he creates the conditions for the creation of cinema and its arrival to the mass audience. The film producer chooses the script, seeks funds in the form of private investment or government support, invites the director, film director, actors, technical staff. He organizes the filming and editing of the film, develops a strategy for promoting the film, and concludes agreements with distribution companies for film rental.
Producer Training
St. Petersburg School of Television invites producers to take courses. Convenient form of classes: the course consists of 6 lessons of 2.5 academic hours. Flexible schedule, the ability to work with different groups. For the duration of the training, professional equipment is issued. Starting a new group every week. Graduates receive a corporate certificate.

Family Stories
AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Wexford KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)
Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that
comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small
class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun. The basic building
blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we
make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
Spanish
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!
Frequently Asked Questions
What accreditations does KinderCare have?
We are your trusted caregiver. Our centers are state-licensed and regularly inspected to make sure
everything meets or exceeds standards, including child-to-teacher ratios and safe facilities. Our
centers aren’t just licensed—most are accredited, too! Find out more.
Do you offer part-time schedules at Wexford KinderCare?
Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time
childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.
Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?
We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing
bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in
their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.
Do you support alternative diets?
We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime,
take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food
sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet
learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest,
we’ll discuss how to work
together to encourage toilet learning.
How does naptime work at Wexford KinderCare?
Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap.
In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on “10
Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap” to learn more.
Is tuition support offered for Pennsylvania families at Wexford KinderCare?
Child care is one of the biggest priorities—and expenses—for hardworking families like yours. We partner with state and local agencies in Pennsylvania to provide tuition subsidies where we can, including the agency below:
YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh
There may be other available funding sources for families living in Wexford, Pennsylvania and we have subsidy coordinators standing by that can discuss potential solutions for your family. Even if you are not subsidy eligible there may be other options in Allegheny County to help with tuition.
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.
Family Stories
Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
“
I had actually worked in the past as an inspector for daycare and preschool programs in Philadelphia, so when we were looking for childcare for our daughter, I was anxious to find a local center that met my expectations. In the Wexford area, this KinderCare was the only place that exemplified NAEYC’s standards but also had a truly unique experience for infants. The staff in the infant room – particularly Miss Emilie – had a level of experience that put me completely at ease from the start. People at work and in my family nod and say in a low, conspiratorial voice, “It’s so hard to leave your daughter at daycare, huh?” and I can honestly say the answer is “No, not at all” because I feel like she is having a really positive experience with caring people, and a chance to interact safely with other little ones. I don’t feel like she’s in ‘daycare’, I feel like her development is being enhanced at your center.

An outsider entered the kindergarten of Kostroma three times without hindrance
All Kostroma news Read here!
A man entered one of the kindergartens in Kostroma three times with unknown intentions. So, according to the mother, whose child goes to kindergarten No. 82, on October 28, an outsider entered the building of the preschool institution three times.
The first time he was taken out by the father of one of the children, when he came the second time, he managed to open the emergency exit on the second floor and take packages with things, but the employee’s husband took him out, the caregivers pressed the “panic button”, but because of traffic jams, the police drove for a long time. An unknown person entered from the street through an open emergency exit and was inside again. Parents with children and a teacher hid in the bedroom, the children cried a lot. Parents called 112, eventually the police and the National Guard arrived, already outside the territory of the kindergarten, they tracked down and detained the man to clarify the circumstances. I would like to note that there is no security in the kindergarten, there is no video camera and video intercom in our building. The manager takes an interesting position: she blames the parents for what happened, she does not enter into a dialogue with the parents, although we ask to organize a meeting, discuss what happened and find a solution, and she goes on vacation. They called the head of the department of preschool education, they also believe that the parents are to blame, since according to the papers it is safe in the garden. Apparently, there are more important things to do than a field check in the garden. We turned to the governor’s telegram channel, the answer was like a carbon copy: they themselves are to blame, there is a safety passport, it is observed (according to this answer, I explain: the perimeter fence is an old fence with slots and rotten boards, the combination lock appeared a couple of weeks ago at the expense of the parents, there are surveillance cameras on only one building out of three, parents need to be careful – this is a fact, but how a fragile woman, for example, should resist an intruder at ?), – says Kostroma.
This is not an isolated case when parents complain about poor security in kindergartens. Recall that recently a permit system was introduced in some preschool institutions in Kostroma, which, according to the parents themselves, does not work. No one checks the pass, and anyone can go to the kindergarten, because the guards are either not there, or they just stand there, not interested in who passes on the territory of the preschool institution.

24 Small-Scale Daycares & Preschools in Brockton, MA
Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. 😉 Here’s what most parents want to know when starting out.
What is NeighborSchools?
Hey there, nice to meet you 👋 We’re a new-ish startup that helps new-ish parents find daycare.
We know how hard finding good child care can be – especially for first-time parents. But really good care is what gives you the peace of mind to go back to work and feel confident that your child is getting the stimulation, socialization, and support they need to learn and grow.
So we created NeighborSchools to make this piece of parenthood a whole lot easier. We say “easier” because, let’s be honest, it’s still a big thing to figure out, but working together we can help you find some good options, understand the whole process, and choose a program you’ll feel really good about.
How’s it work?
Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care – so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.
Is there a cost?
Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools – we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.
How do I know if I’m ready to take the survey?
Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now.
