Reviews of the children’s center “Romashka”
I’m so glad I discovered this place. I won’t write much, I want to say the main thing: everyone who works there is professional in their field, the atmosphere of comfort and kindness, the complete trust of their child to the staff, quality classes with the child, cleanliness !!! My baby runs there, we are 3.5, but I know for sure that we are here at least until school for sure!
Julia
Very good center! There are more than 10 years, and it means a lot! We visit the center at st. Cheryomukhovaya, 7 office 409. In the classroom we sculpt, develop motor skills, do physical education and musical minutes and much more! We try to repeat a lot of what we do in the classroom at home, so to speak, to consolidate the material. I recommend the children’s center “Romashka” to everyone!!!

FAQs
AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Old Bridge KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,

Family Stories
Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
“
Our family has been a proud member of the KinderCare family for 10 years! We absolutely love the center, and the learning (and fun!) opportunities the teachers provide our three boys. It is a perfect blend of education and socialization for our kids, and they are surrounded by teachers who make our children their top priority.
We have also taken advantage of the additional learning opportunities with their Phonics program, and my kids started school ahead of the curve.
I can’t imagine a better environment for our boys, and a better staff to provide a caring environment where they are thriving!
”
Brooke – KinderCare Parent
“
Every day my child loves to come to Kindercare. She is greeted by warm-hearted, loving teachers that genuinely want to be with her. The morning routine for my infant is my favorite because she is now starting to initiate the “Good Morning Wave” with the teachers. My daughter loves these teachers and they are teaching her so much! I am so excited for the next step in her Kindercare learning process!

Family Stories
Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
Dear KinderCare,
My son was at Woodridge Station Edgewood KinderCare in MD for 2 years. We had such an amazing experience there. The staff were wonderful to my son. He started going there when he was 3. We were hestate to have him start because he has autism and we weren’t sure if the center would be able to meet his needs. Boy, were we wrong! Our song grew so attached to the staff there. They were so patient and kind with him and us. At some point he wasn’t sleeping at night because he was napping during the day. We asked KinderCare to stop his naps so that he would sleep at night, and they made that adjustment. After speaking to friends with children in other centers, we found out that this request is not always granted. We appreciated everything the staff did fo us to accomodate our needs. We also heard that day care centers have a lot of staff turnover, and that was a concern to us. The KinderCare that we attended had an extremely stable staff. My son loved all of them and still asks for them. The only reason we stopped going to KinderCare is because we moved. They gave us such a nice send-off. Ms. Regina made us a scrapbook of his time there. this was great becase it included pictures of him getting onto and off of the bus, which we never to to see in person. It also showed a tupical day for him at KinderCare. Ms. Alexus made us a poster with pictures of him through the years and included quotes of silly things that he would say. Ms. Zhana bought him gifts, including things that are his favorites, like apple juice. We really could not have asked for a better center. We love and miss everyone there. They all went above and beyond to ensure that my son and our family had a great experience. They should be commended for their dedication to the families which they serve.
Stacey R. – KinderCare Parent
Every teacher my daughter has had at the center has been amazing. They are truly dedicated to my daughters well-being and care. i have always felt completely safe and comfortable leaving my daughter in their care. She has been there since she was three and she is about to turn seven. She was at the center when Maryland had an earthquake and I was totally secure in here well-being the entire time. During Prekindergarten, I worried that they were pushing her too hard on school work and development until I got her Kindergarten teacher’s report that said how well she was doing due to all her work and preparation the year before. Now that she is school-age, during the summer, they have non-stop activities and field trips. We have planned our vacations to ensure she didn’t miss any of the field trips. My daughter looks forward to her time there and her interaction with the teachers and the extra programs they offer. I could not be happier that she is at KinderCare and I sing the center’s praises whenever I can.
Amanda S. – KinderCare Parent
My daughter started going to KinderCare when she was two years old. Since she had a speech delay, she had a rough start. The ladies at the Edgewood KinderCare were awesome. They worked with her to get her use to the routines, and they even adjusted some of their teaching habits to help her flourish. She went through all of Kelsey’s classes starting with Music, moving through Phonics and ending with Math. When she started Kindergarten this past year, she was advanced in her math and reading; and she is now a sociable toddler. She loves the director Ms. Carol and all of her teachers throughout the years (Ms. Mandy, Ms. Tawanda, Ms. Regina, Ms. Crystal, and now Ms.Alyssa and Ms. Tennille). When I pick her up, not a day goes by that her teachers don’t tell me how far she has come and how much of joy she is to have in their class. KinderCare really cares about their children and treats them like their own; and because of their patience and kindness my daughter has blossomed into a WONDERFUL child who no longer has a speech delay. Thank you ladies, my husband and I appreciate all of your hard work.
Latisha W. – KinderCare Parent
Just wanted to sent a little note about the center my daughter is currently enrolled in: Edgewood KinderCare. This location has actually become a part of my family. My daughter has been enrolled here since she was two-years-old and she is now eight I couldn’t ask for anything better! My major concerns when shopping for childcare is SAFETY, especially in this crazy world of today! I had many opportunities to seek services from other daycare centers and I totally refused because I am so please and comfortable with the Edgewood staff and facility! Now that my daughter is older, my concern was she wouldn’t like the fact that she is still at KinderCare but that was incorrect because thanks to the awesome programs that Ms. Tennille and Ms. Alyssa have developed. She looks forward to spending time with them after school. Her favorites are “Kiddie Cafe” and “Kiddie Couture”. I know its challenging keeping older kids entertained and interested but Ms. Tennille and Ms. Alyssa know exactly what to do to keep the kids engaged! They always involve the parents when they have programs such as the Winter Gala and talent shows! Great times are had by all! In closing, I would like to thank KinderCare for taking care of my Princess Linda. It’s because of your staff that I have peace of mind when I am one hour away at work! Keep up the good work!
Lindell S. – KinderCare Parent
This letter is to formally state the exemplary service my husband and I have received for my daughter, Johannah. She has been attending KinderCare since she was three years old beginning with Ms. Towanda, Regina (phenomenal teacher), and Ms. Crystal and now she is the capable hands of the dynamic duo of Ms. Allysa and Ms. Tennille. I cannot say enough about the level of care that the staff provides my daughter especially Ms. Allysa and Ms. Termille. The annual talent shows twice a year foster my daughter’s hidden talents. One of my favorite projects was the spaghetti dinner night in which my daughter and the rest of the School Age kids were host/hostesses or waiters/waitress and served spaghetti dinner and raised $350 to go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand charity. I was raised with an after school program and my husband I agreed that Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Tennille are teaching the core values that we believe in and are better than a Boys and Girls Club or YMCA. You are helping to develop future dancers, scientists, activists, educators and presidents. One thing I can say is the key component to the success to your teachers at the Edgewood location, versus when my daughter was at Celebree, was consistency. She had the same teachers and could count and trust that those teachers were going to be there. All of her teachers are truly dedicated to children and love children and now that Johannah is in school I see it in her love for learning. Thank you so much! It is the quality not the quantity that means the most to my husband and I. Thank you for keeping my daughter smiling.

Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap. In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on “10 Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap” to learn more.
Do you support alternative diets?
We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.
Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?
We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

We were family visiting nearby so we decided to stay here. Having arrived from Manhattan where we stayed at a hotel that was very dirty, I wanted to make sure we were in a hotel that was very clean. I read other reviews about the cleanliness of this hotel and they did not disappoint. The hotel lobby was very clean, as was our bedroom and bathroom. The room had a piece of furniture especially for luggage so that guests would not rest their luggage on chairs and other tables not meant for them. The bathroom was large and the bath towels wonderful. The breakfast the following morning was very generous with a wide variety of items. For those who are hungry during the day, the hotel offered donuts and other items. Wonderful place and I highly recommend this hotel. Hope to be back soon.

Anna’s In-home Care
2087 SW Cascade Falls Dr, Ankeny, IA 50023
Costimate: $182/day
Description:
I am a mom of four 11, 9, 7 and 4. Now that my kids are older and in school I want to start up caring for children again. My passion and love has always been for children. I come from a large family of 4brothers and 3 sisters. I started doing babysitting jobs at age 11 through high school and then started doing nanny jobs while in college. After I started having my own children I started doing in home care.
I have experience with twins and special needs children. My youngest child is also special needs physically. So I definitely have a heart for special needs children.
The ages I am specifically looking for is 0-4 but am willing to broaden that depending on the situation. I have room for 1 to 2 children.
The reason I love doing in home care is that I can give each child a lot of attention that they need and deserve.
Other than my own four children who are in school now, I will only have 1-2 extra children at a time. This way I can always give your children the care that they need….

Ankeny KinderCare Programs
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.
Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!
A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Carson City, USA – travel map
Carson City is the capital of the state of Nevada (USA). As of 2010, the population of the city was 55,274 people. Carson City is an independent city (not part of any county).
History
Before the arrival of the Whites, the area was inhabited by the Washo hunting and gathering tribe. The first white settlers in the area that later became known as Eagle Valley, in January 1843, were the Americans from the exploratory party, led by John Fremont. They named the river that ran through the valley Carson, after the explorer Kit Carson.
Abraham Curry
By 1851, the signs of civilization in the area were limited to a small ranch on the banks of the Carson River, which served as a trading post and stopover for travelers along the California Way. The valley and the trading post take their name from a bald eagle that was killed by one of the first settlers and placed as a stuffed animal on the wall inside the post.
As part of Utah Territory, the district was administered from Salt Lake City, where the territorial administration was located. The settlers were unhappy with the control of the heavily Mormon-influenced Utah authorities and advocated the creation of an independent territory of Nevada. A group of influential settlers, led by Abraham Curry, set out to find a site for the capital of the proposed territory. In 1858, Abraham Curry purchased a ranch in Eagle Valley and then renamed the town that was founded in its place Carson City. Curry was confident that Carson City would someday serve as the capital, and left a 10-acre site in the center of the city vacant for the future capitol building.
After the discovery of gold and silver deposits near the city in 1859, the population of Carson City began to grow. Curry built the Hot Springs Hotel a mile east of downtown. As predicted, Carson City was selected as the territorial capital, overtaking Virginia City. Curry lent his hotel to the Territorial Legislative Assembly as a meeting place. The assembly declared Carson City the county seat of Orsby County and the inn the state prison, with Curry as warden. To this day, the hotel is used for keeping prisoners.
When Nevada became the 36th state of the United States in 1864 during the Civil War, Carson City was established as the permanent capital. The development of the city no longer depended on the mining industry as it became a thriving trading center. The Virginia & Truckee Railroad was built between Virginia City and Carson City. To provide the capital with water, wooden water conduits were laid from the Sierra Nevada mountains. The Capitol building, which exists to this day, was built in 1870-1871. From 1870 to 189For 3 years, a branch of the United States Mint operated in the city, minting gold and silver coins. Carson City experienced a real “Chinese invasion”, especially many Chinese worked on the railroad. In 1880, about a thousand Chinese lived in the city, one in five whites.
Carson City, 1877
The city’s population and economic activity declined sharply when the Southern Pacific Railroad built a new line across Donner Pass, far north of Carson City. The city briefly revived due to the gold and silver rush in Tonopah. Carson City has come to terms with its small city status, advertising itself as “America’s smallest capital”.
Carson City grew slowly, reaching its 1880 population by 1960 when the city was at its peak. By this time, part of Orsby County had been transferred to neighboring counties, and in 1969 the county was officially dissolved, and Carson City, having increased its territory several times over at the expense of former county lands, can now advertise itself as one of the largest (by territory) state capitals with a total area of 435 km².
Geography and climate
Carson City is located in a dry river valley in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, near the border with California. The area of the city is 435 km², 403 of which are land and 32 are water.
The city lies in a semi-desert climate zone, with hot and dry summers, cold (but not frosty) winters, and warm springs and autumns.

Kindergarten No. 7. Interiors — Design group “OKKO”
Building 1 (Kindergarten No. 7)
The concept of the interior design of Building 1 is based on the development of social roles by children – a child in a family, in a kindergarten, a resident of a city, country, globe, part of the universe. Therefore, a non-standard approach to the name of the groups was applied. On the first floor there are groups: “Dynasty”, “Generation”, “Development”, “achievement”. On the second floor of the group: “Observers”, “Observers”, “Travelers”, “Patriots”. And on the third floor of the group: “Commonwealth”, “Harmony”, “Opening”, “Researchers”. The entire space of kindergarten No. 7 can be divided into two main parts: public, in which all children can be, and private, directly related to children’s group cells. The concept provides for a visual separation of these spaces. public spaces.
The main motif of the visual image is triangles-polygons, as the main element, a single module. It would seem that initially chaotically located on the walls, multi-colored triangles are assembled into image-images that reflect the purpose of the room or the name of the group in front of which they appear. A tree (family tree) appears in front of the entrance to the group on the 1st floor of the Dynasty, and in the lobby of the pool, triangles form an image of a wave, personifying the water element. The background for these visual images are pastel colors of different shades of the same color. For example, the lobby in front of the entrance to the pool is made in shades of blue.
Children’s groups.
Since children’s toys and even clothes are often brightly colored, the concept is to minimize the use of bright colors in the rooms. Group interiors are designed in soothing pastel colors, using natural materials such as wood. Light tones form a calm background, the color appears in fragments and becomes an accent rather than a main motive. On some walls of group rooms, bedrooms and dressing rooms, beautiful wallpapers appear, with delicate drawings that have an associative array with the name of the group. Interior decoration of the walls is carried out using modern materials. The lobby walls are plastered and painted with acrylic paint. Ceilings of the vestibule are “Armstrong” suspended ceilings, the floor is “kerama Marazzi” ceramic granite tiles. The surfaces of the walls in the corridors, rooms for music and physical education are painted with acrylic paint (the walls are preliminarily pasted over with glass wallpaper) in combination with photo printing on the glass wallpaper, the floors are a homogeneous PVC coating from Tarkett. The walls of rooms where children stay (group rooms, playrooms, bedrooms, dressing rooms) are pasted over with glass wallpaper with light-colored photo studies applied to them, waterproof, abrasion-resistant, as well as acrylic paint. The colors of walls, floors and equipment in playrooms, group rooms, bedrooms, halls and in the manager’s office will be light, low-saturated, calm: light tones of beige, yellow, green, blue, light gray with a matte texture. The color of the ceilings is white, painted with acrylic paint.

12+ of the strangest books for children
Sometimes the titles and content of children’s books raise doubts about the adequacy of the author. For whom is it written? What for? For what? Why, instead of the adventures of Pinocchio, are we offered to read about what everyone poops? What do children learn from books titled “All Boys Are Fools” or “How the Tsar Gone Girl”? Today, the editors of Tlum.Ru have collected for you 12+ of the strangest books for children, which, probably, it would be better for children not to see.
16 CHILDREN’S TOYS THAT SHOULD BE SOMETHING WRONG
The topic of poop is of great interest to the authors. For some reason, not one, not two, but much more works have been written about this. For example, the book “Everybody poops.” This is a Japanese book that is over 30 years old and has even been reprinted three times! Of course, the relevance does not disappear! In the book, children are told about how a camel, a fish, a bug and an elephant poop. And man. Because everyone eats, and therefore … Well, you understand.
There is also The Little Poop Book. It is about the same thing. nine0003
Of course, we should not forget about the book “About the mole who wanted to know who pooped on his head.” The plot, we think you already understood. This is such a German analogue of our “Who said” meow “?”. Just not meow. And he didn’t say.
In general, a poop can be a full-fledged hero of the story. For example, as in the book “The Adventures of a Poop”, where she walks and wanders and looks for a house for herself. She eventually settled (carefully, spoiler!) on TV, which is quite symbolic.
The other side of the story was not forgotten either. There is a “Big Book of Pee-Pee”, it’s the same as “Everybody Poops”, only everyone pee here. After all, children probably tortured their parents with questions about how a chameleon pee.
Well, perhaps, stop talking about this ugly side of life. Let’s move on to other masterpieces of children’s literature. For example, to prohibited substances. After all, children should know about them! To do this, there is a rare book of 1926 called “Cannabis Hemp”, where there are as many as 27 pages of reasoning about how beautiful hemp is and how many useful properties it has. nine0003
But these are old times. This topic is also raised by other authors. For example, in a book with a telling title “It’s just weed” (by the way, you can read it online). The girl smells a strange smell, goes into her mother’s room, and there … There she is waiting for a lecture that “it’s just weed.” No, mom, of course, will clarify that her children are not allowed, but as for adult life…
After this, books about alcohol already seem cute and decent. If not for the title. “Your dad drinks because you cry.” This is such a comic dedicated to the fact that if a child yells, dad urgently needs a drink. Not exactly a children’s book, but it is addressed to a child. nine0003
We also have an analogue called “Once upon a time there was a mother. ” About vodka and happy ending.
How do you like the idea of Savely Rizovsky’s book “How the Tsar Gone to Become a Girl”? A very simple story: tired of being a king, go to be good girls. So what, what a beard, what with a beard girls can’t or what?
After all, you can even marry, which is what the book “Dad’s new wife, whose name is Robert” will tell the children about. Comments are not needed here.
In general, by the way, the king did everything right. After all, judging by Todd Goldman’s book “All boys are fools! And the girls are smart!”. Then it’s better to be a girl, they, according to the author, are made of marmalade, and not of lice – like boys. And boys are made in the factory of fools, they must be taught to use the toilet and constantly educated.
There are still books with which everything is not so transparent. Some of them were printed and immediately banned, others exist only in online versions, others seem to exist, but it is impossible to find them on sale. We will just give you a few titles of these books, just for your reference. nine0003
Educational book about the dangers of being overweight “The boy who died because he ate all the vegetables.” The best way to fall asleep is to read to your child the books “Your Nightmares Are Nothing But Reality” or “The Man in the Moon Is Really Satan”. You can also read books about animals – “Some Kittens Can Fly” and “All Cats Go to Hell”. By the way, the issue of death should also be discussed with the child himself, for example, by reading him a book with the title “Where would you like to be buried?”.
The editors of Tlum.Ru were inspired by these masterpieces. We already have ideas for the books “Is poop in a diaper sad?”, “Daddy drinks – lives happily”, “Fleas are children’s best friends” and “Giraffe births in funny comics”. Perhaps we will even take pity on you and not write them.
Good books for you!

How are hieroglyphs and bowel movements connected?
The latest publishing sensation is a real treat for parents who want to get their kids interested in kanji characters. Kanji Poop Exercises ( Unko kanji doriru ) makes it easy for them – these books contain over 3000 examples of sentences using the word unko (excrement), and elementary school students’ fascination with this “smelly” topic brought six books in this series (one for each elementary school grade) for the top six places in Amazon’s Japanese Japanese Textbook Rankings. nine0003
Leaving aside the specific subject matter of the books, they follow a standard pattern, explaining over 1,000 characters that Japanese children learn in elementary grades. The kanji are presented in the order determined by pedagogy experts and grouped by topic for better memorization. Each hieroglyph is given the order of writing features and sentences where it is used in different readings. There are also helpful hints in the books from Unko sensei – this character’s head has an easily recognizable shape that is associated with excrement in Japan and has spread around the world thanks to emoji. nine0003
Unko-sensei accompanies the students throughout the series. The copybooks accompanying some of the books are made in his form
Some of the examples are hardly worth using in a company: “No matter how much I flush, my poop does not wash off” (ぼくのうんこは 何 回流しても流れなかった) (in the section of the character 何, second class). Others are from the realm of the unbelievable: “This is an engraving of Fuji, poop and a crane, inscribed on the National Treasure List” (こちらが国宝の 版 画「富士とうんことつる」です) (版, fifth grade). There are even completely surreal phrases: “A German doctor of mechanics invented a machine that can talk to poop” (ドイツの工学 博 士が、うんこと話せる機械を発明した) (博, fourth grade).
Toilet humor and education
Tokyo Japanese teacher Suzuki Akiko bought her son’s first book to evaluate during spring break before he starts second grade. She told the staff at Nippon.com, “I think motivation is important at any age and it was great to see him laugh while studying.

We cover the current state of the industry in our article asking whether UX designers are in demand near you.
How much does a UX designer salary vary based on experience?
As with any profession, as your experience and skills grow your salary expectations should reflect that. Here’s a list of the median salary across different levels in the U.S., averaged from Glassdoor and Indeed.
UX Design Intern: US$60,864
Junior UX Designer: US$100,334
UX Designer: US$106,896
Senior UX Designer: US$139,001

And when compared to the average national annual salary of $53,490 per year, becoming a UX designer is even more desirable.
The salaries listed are an average taken from Indeed, Payscale, and Glassdoor.

In this video, Berlin-based UX designer Maureen gives a quick overview on her thoughts on the UX design job market in Germany and what it takes to make it overall:
United Kingdom
Average Salary: US$49,449 Local Currency: £43,939
There are loads of tech jobs throughout the UK, but with London’s reputation as Europe’s startup capital, many entrepreneurs are calling on UX designers for help. The largest city in the UK, London has its own Silicon Roundabout, where the demand for UX designers is at its highest.
Australia
Average Salary: US$58,598 Local Currency: AU$93,154
UX designers may find the highest pay rates in Sydney and Melbourne, but there are many other blossoming tech communities as well. Adelaide is a city where the UX industry is rapidly growing, meaning a lot of opportunities for designers to put their efforts toward meaningful and impactful projects.
New Zealand
Average Salary: US$49,745 Local Currency: NZ$87,678

It doesn’t take a skilled detective to guess which French city commands the highest salaries for UX design—the capital, Paris. Outside of the City of Love, salaries drop slightly, but so would the cost of living. Cities like Lyon, Marseille, and Toulouse could be more attractive options.
South Africa
Average Salary: US$26,883 Local Currency: R490,579
The range of salary a UX designer can expect to earn varies quite widely in South Africa, with larger cities like Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Cape Town commanding the largest.
China

Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai are some obvious heavy hitters in the UX industry. However, UX designers should keep their eyes on Shenzhen, an exponentially growing city that has been named China’s supreme design hotspot. Shenzhen is projected to play a big role in the UX field within the next two decades.

4. How to negotiate your first UX salary
Being new to the UX design industry may leave you wondering what sort of compensation to expect when applying for your very first position. You might not want to set your expectations too high, but be wary of asking for too little.
Your skills are valuable at all stages of your design career, so before your first interviews, be sure to do some research, consider your auxiliary skills, and talk to others in the field.
Do your research
The best way to make sure you’re asking for a fair wage is to do some research into what other designers with similar skill levels are making. You’ll want to look for the average salaries within the companies you are applying for, in the city the position is located in, and for how many years of experience you have.
Glassdoor, PayScale, and UX Designer Salaries are some easy search engine tools you can use to find information about UX designer pay rates.
Develop your skillset
You don’t have to have a background in tech or design to make it in UX! You can be coming from graphic design, marketing, dance, or teaching and successfully start a career in UX. It’s just a matter of knowing your transferable skills, and building your technical skills.
If you still feel like you’re finding your sea legs in the world of UX, look into a certification course or bootcamp that will give you the skills (and the portfolio!) you need. Our guide to the best UX certification programs is a great place to start.
The best UX design programs will help you develop a professional-grade portfolio and help you on your job search.
If you’d like to dip your toes in the water before you make the investment of money and time that a good program can require, check out a free UX design short course or start reading as many UX-related books as you can get your hands on.
(UX design blogs are another good place to learn and find guides on how to carry out various UX processes.)
Consider your auxiliary skills
Auxiliary skills are the other qualities and attributes you bring to the table besides your UX design expertise. These are often skills that enhance or go hand-in-hand with your design knowledge.
UX designers that have some base knowledge in coding, analytics, team building, or psychology and research can often negotiate higher salaries as these assets make them a more well-rounded and attractive candidate for the job. So look for opportunities to cultivate a more diverse skillset.
Consider upskilling with a specialization in UI design, voice user interface design, or even frontend development.
Ask around
If you have the opportunity, ask other designers in the field for a rough estimate of what sort of salary to expect. It may feel strange to ask your colleagues about salaries and pay rates, but you may be surprised at how quickly they’ll be to offer some guidance.
Friends, recent classmates, and former teachers or mentors are also great people to ask when gauging what sort of compensation you can plan to receive.
As more specializations emerge in the field, there’s a greater variety of roles and varying salary expectations for each of them. We’ve already had an in-depth look at UX designer salaries, so here’s our shortlist of additional roles you might be interested in as you develop specialist knowledge.
Unless otherwise noted, the averages are as reported by Payscale.
UX/UI designer salaries
It’s very often the case that companies hiring UX designers expect them to have at least some UI skills. We want to emphasize here that UX and UI are two distinct roles, and that the focus and skillset required by both truly warrant that!
But you can set yourself apart in the industry, and possibly earn a higher salary, by developing equal expertise in both fields.
Average U.S. salary for UX/UI designers: $91,950
UX writer salaries
Many UX designers end up writing microcopy anyway, so if you’ve got a way with words, to begin with, why not get paid for that specialized knowledge? UX writers follow a similar process as UX designers, but their focus is on creating a seamless experience with the written content that appears throughout the user journey.
Median U.S. salary for UX writers: $110,000 (according to UX Writing Hub’s annual salary report)
UX researcher salaries
If you’re passionate about user research, and you can see yourself focusing most of your work energy on those first couple of stages of the UX design process, you might consider becoming a UX researcher.
Average U.S. salary for UX researchers: $108,500
UX strategist salaries
Finally, if you’ve got good business sense and the ability to connect well with stakeholders of all sorts, you could consider a career as a UX strategist. This role will place you at the intersection of business and design, with a salary to show it.
Average U.S. salary for UX researchers: $92,000
6. Outlook and takeaways
There is a steady and increasing demand for UX designers, and the ever-expanding and competitive global market means a greater need to produce fresh and enjoyable products.
Furthermore, as the UX design field continues to make its way into industries like education, fashion, film, and even social and cultural wellness projects, the need for quality UX designers has been forecasted to increase. What’s more, there’s a great deal of variety in the role itself, as what a UX designer does changes depending on the type of company they work in.

7 Gift Ideas for Child Care Provider Appreciation Day
Never heard of National Child Care Provider Appreciation Day? Not on our watch! It’s every year, the last Friday before Mother’s Day, so it’s coming up. Consider yourself warned. Do your homework and organize something for your child’s child care provider or preschool teacher.
There are quite a few tongue-in-cheek “appreciation days” out there. Today, for example, is Star Wars Day – May the 4th be with you! But you really should take this Friday seriously: Besides family members, your child care provider is probably the single most important person in your child’s life.
The truth is that early childhood educators often over-deliver and are under-appreciated for doing so. Here are 7 ideas to help you even up the score on child care provider appreciation day:
A personal note
The chances are pretty good that your child care provider is not hungry for fame or fortune, even though both may be deserved. Gift certificates, “stuff,” and money will all go a long way but personal notes are what get remembered (and kept) for a lifetime. If your child learned a word, developed an interest, or simply had a brighter day thanks to his provider, have him put it in writing. It will mean a lot.
Gift certificates
Starbucks is always a safe choice. (Can anyone take care of kids without coffee?) Amazon is another one, you can buy an e-gift card to send immediately (we’ve all been there, buying a present at the last minute!) Or, if you plan at least 1 or 2 days in advance, you can get one of the gift cards nested inside a nice gift box. Another wonderful idea for busy child care providers is a gift card to Style Seat, a website that helps you find and book beauty and wellness professionals near you! Otherwise you can ask other parents at your child care center to try to figure out if she has a favorite restaurant, etc.
Make it a group effort
If you’d like to purchase a gift, you can put more money towards any one single idea (from this list or not) if everyone from your child’s class pitches in. Talk to the other parents at your child care center or home daycare and organize it. It’s also a good way to figure out what type of things a particular caregiver likes or does in her free time.
A subscription service
Everyone likes getting a box of new, cool stuff every month. For coffee drinkers there are subscription services that send you new varieties to taste, like Craft Coffee. If cookies is his guilty pleasure (who doesn’t love cookies?!), offer him a subscription to Cravory Cookies and for the beauty maven on a budget, Ipsy will send a collection of products she’ll be able to find at her local store if she loves it. Figure out what your child’s preschool director or teacher is into and see if there is a service for it!
Something for the classroom
You’d be surprised how much preschool directors and teachers spend out of their own pockets for their classroom. There may be a particular item that fits so well with next week’s project, for example, that waiting around for budget approval from the daycare center management wouldn’t make sense. You probably don’t want to guess what your provider needs, though, so just ask directly.
Time off
Depending on your preschool, you may be able to organize some extra (paid) time off for your child care provider. A Friday afternoon head-start on the weekend can be more valuable than the “sum of its parts.”
Food
Be careful with gifts of food unless you know the teacher pretty well. It seems like everyone is on this or that diet these days. You can hit a real home run, though, if you get it right. Paleo cheesecake, anyone? Or, you can place a safe bet on a one-time order of those Cravory Cookies we mentioned earlier.
And just to finish, here’s one thing to avoid: mugs! It seems to be the one gift that teachers love to hate. So, for child care provider appreciation day, just offer the coffee instead 😉

Gift Ideas for Child Care Provider Appreciation Day
Gift Ideas for Child Care Provider Appreciation Day – CareLuLu
Provider appreciation day is here Friday! Founded in 1996, Provider Appreciation Day is a good way to show your child’s caregivers and teachers just how much you appreciate them. Being a teacher takes a lot of effort, and many of them see your child more than you do. This May, you can show your child’s teachers how much you appreciate their efforts.
Some parents don’t quite know which teacher to buy gifts for or who to show their appreciation towards: lead teacher, assistant teacher, preschool director, and the list goes on! The best rule of thumb, to avoid hurting any feelings, is to get all of your child’s teachers something. You can always do something extra special for a teacher that has had a significant impact on your child and their education. Below are some ideas for what to do for your child care provider on their special day.
Include your child. Your child probably appreciates their teacher greatly. Having them decorate a card, draw a picture, or deliver gifts to their teachers can be a great way for both you and your child to show appreciation for all the hard work that goes into educating children.
Have your child deliver snacks to the teachers to celebrate
Take time to paint or draw with your child
Make a CD of different songs for the teacher to play during class time that both the teacher and the students will enjoy
Decorate and personalize a coffee cup sleeve
Buy Providers Necessities. Bringing functional gifts is a good way to show appreciation. It can be as simple as replenishing the paint and art supplies closet. You could even create or buy some games for the classroom that your kid and their peers can play with. Some things teachers may need include:
paint or other art supplies
printer paper & printer ink
wall decorations
pens and pencils
books for the classroom
Work with other parents. If you’d like to get something a bit pricey, try pooling together some money to give your provider a paid day off, or money for a nice dinner. Gift cards are also a great treat. You can even get a gift for the teachers that centers around their interests or hobbies. Some examples of things to to with other parents include:
Dedicate a day for you and other parents to help organize and clean the classroom
Bring “breakfast buckets” with the teachers’ favorite foods or drinks
Create a basket of nice materials the teachers can use on a daily basis
Pool money together for a useful gift card to a place like Amazon, Target, or a school-supply store
Remember, it’s the thought that counts. You don’t have to buy expensive presents to show that you appreciate your child’s teacher and the work they do. Cards and handwritten notes are a very simple, affordable, yet powerful way to show appreciation. Take some time to personalize them and show that you are sincere in your sentiments.
Tip: maybe your child’s teacher has a particular theme they really like (such as ocean themes, Dr. Seuss themes, bird themes, etc.). To add an extra degree of thought into the project, try to make it centered around a theme you know they would particularly enjoy.

Gifts for Teachers on Teacher’s Day | Gifts for Kindergarten Teachers
Kindergarten teachers are incredibly important people in children’s lives. After all, they give kids not only knowledge, but also care, love, advice. They partially replace the children of parents who have to leave for work. Therefore, any present to the teacher is a way to show gratitude and affection.
What to present to the educator on the Teacher’s Day: we are thinking about the options for the present
Initially, think about what exactly the educator will like. Be sure to consider the following criteria for choosing a gift:
Age . It is appropriate for a young girl to give a certificate to the SPA, but for an older woman, it is preferable to choose a certificate for a massage session.
Duration of work with children . The longer the teacher works with children, the more serious the gift she deserves. And it’s not about the cost. It’s just that in addition to the presentation itself, children may well prepare a few rhymes or a song for her.
Personal hobbies . The answer to the question of what gifts are given on Teacher’s Day is often associated with personal hobbies. For example, a book, a set of knitting needles will be an excellent present.
Marital status . An unmarried girl should be presented with gifts that are not related to home and life. But married they are sure to come in handy.
But it is quite possible to stop at formal gifts in the form of flowers, chocolates and a small memorable present. What to give as a keepsake?

What Not to Give Caregivers on Their Professional Day
When looking for ideas of what to give parents for Teacher’s Day, avoid the following list of options:
shampoos, deodorants, shower gels;
hair removal products;
fruit, candy bouquets;
product sets;
too expensive things;
alcohol;
money in envelopes.
But when congratulating, do not forget about the words of gratitude. Any teacher will be pleased to hear sincere words from the parents of the children with whom he spends all his working time.
Teacher’s Day – September 27th. What to give the teacher? Original gift ideas
Somehow it so happened that our pre-school education was “in the shadow” of the secondary one. Congratulating teachers on the First and Last Bell, Teacher’s Day, graduation is a familiar and important thing for schoolchildren and their families.
But the teacher, even the most talented one, is sometimes simply forgotten to be congratulated directly on his holiday – Day of the employee of the preschool institution.
On the one hand, this is understandable: “preschool” teachers found their own holiday only in 2004. It was then that the leading pedagogical publications came up with the initiative to create such a national professional holiday September 27, .
A teacher and a nanny are the people who, after parents, spend the most time with the kids. And at the same time they do not have a corresponding patch. Of course, when this holiday approaches, I really want to somehow please the educators, express my gratitude to them. And here the “torments of creativity” begin: what gift ideas will be the most optimal?
It should be noted right away that the value of a gift is absolutely not identical to the amount of money, therefore it is not very tactful to choose a precious metal or something rather intimate as a gift (perfume, cosmetics, bed linen, for example). Vases-services-figurines are also not the case: all teachers of such good have full bins.
So the parents’ committees are faced with a choice: what to give the educator to please and not embarrass him? We also suggest that you familiarize yourself with the articles titled: what to give a teacher and a do-it-yourself gift to a teacher, which contain original gift ideas, in case the gift options listed below do not suit you.
Usually people working in kindergartens are modest, they feel very uncomfortable when they receive any gifts from their parents. You can congratulate your child’s favorite teacher with a banal bouquet (candy) or just in words, and, believe me, he will be sincerely happy. But after all, how you want to give something that will find a warm response in the heart of the teacher and become a good reminder of the pupils and their parents for many years to come.
We offer for your consideration the so-called “top ten” gift ideas for teachers on Teacher’s Day.
# Gift certificate
As you know, the educator, basically, is always a woman. And what woman doesn’t want to pick up something special for herself in a company store?
# Stationery set
Original stand with pencils, pens and other stationery rubbish – always up-to-date and intelligent!
# A set of motivational cards
Since teaching is a nervous profession, an educator simply needs inspiration. This is where motivators come in!
# Collection of aphorisms
About the same benefit from a book with wise sayings. In addition, it will help the teacher to sparkle with intellect at the teachers’ council or meeting, and this is important!
# Original photo album
By itself – it is also a good gift. But if it is filled with photographs or drawings of pupils and “seasoned” with signatures, wishes, it will be amazing.
# Flash drive
Today, all information is more often in electronic form, and flash memory, and even in souvenir design, is not a great gift choice for a teacher for a professional holiday?
# Wallet
It can be given “with connotations” by first putting, say, a dollar (a man) and a hryvnia (a woman) into it – let them multiply.
# Souvenir tree with portraits of pupils
Such a gift speaks for itself: it is a memory, joy, a symbol.
# Holder for books/folders
You can’t buy such a thing for yourself, but the teacher very often lacks it.
# Original notebook
Notebooks are always relevant: at work and in everyday life. So give a beautiful diary that will delight the teacher!
When preparing a surprise for a teacher, the main thing is to choose a gift with warmth and love.
