We understand the need to protect and safeguard your sensitive information, and we maintain strict standards and procedures designed to prevent misuse of that information. This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) constitutes an agreement between you and KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc.™, KinderCare® Learning Centers, CCLC®, Champions®, Knowledge Beginnings®, The Grove School®, Cambridge Schools™, Rainbow Childcare Center, or any other entity over which KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc. ™ has control (collectively, “KinderCare,” “us,” “our,” or “we”) and is part of KinderCare’s Terms of Use.  

This Privacy Notice explains the categories of information that we collect, how we use that information, and how it applies when you access or use our websites, mobile applications, and services, both online and offline (collectively, the “Site”). Your privacy is important, and we encourage you to read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand how we collect and use your information.  

Consent. By accessing this Site, registering with KinderCare, creating a user profile on our Site, or submitting information to KinderCare, you consent to this Privacy Notice and the collection and use of information as described herein. We will take reasonable steps to notify you and confirm that you agree at different stages of collecting your information. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you may not be able to access or benefit from certain portions of this Site.

Personal Information. As used in this Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device, such as:

• identifiers (e.g., name, address, telephone number, email address)

Personal Information does not include (a) publicly available information; (b) aggregate information, meaning data we collect about your use of the Website or about a group or category of services or users from which individual identities or other Personal Information has been removed; or (c) deidentified information that cannot be easily linked back to the individual.   

Lawful Basis. We will only collect your Personal Information (a) when applicable, with your consent; or (b) if we have a legitimate interest in doing so. We only collect Personal Information about children with consent from a parent or guardian, as discussed in more detail below. 

How We Collect Your Personal Information. We collect Personal Information directly from you, from third parties, and automatically from your use of the Site. The types of Personal Information we collect about you and the manner of collection depends on how you interact with KinderCare, including the services, offers, and portions of our Site that you use. More specifically, we collect Personal Information:

When you communicate with us, with consent.  We collect Personal Information directly from you with your consent when you contact KinderCare online, in person, or via telephone or mail, participate in one of our surveys, take a tour, or submit an inquiry at one of our locations, including: 

• Identifiers. We collect contact information, including your name, phone number, email address and marital status in order to communicate with you about our services, share schedules, menus, and other news, and to personalize those communications to you and your child. 
• User Generated Material. Some features of our Site permit you to post comments, photos, or other content, subject to our Terms of Use . It is your decision whether to use these features, and any Personal Information or other content you post is provided by you voluntarily.

When you register with KinderCare, with consent. When you fill out a KinderCare form, submit an enrollment agreement, or register to use the Family Connection parent portal, we will collect Personal Information about you and your child directly from you with your consent, including: 

• Identifiers; Employment-Related Information. We collect contact information and other identifiers, including emergency contact and release information for your child, your driver’s license and other state identification numbers, as well as your current employment information.  
• Subsidy Status. We may collect Personal Information about you or your child via state subsidy forms to determine eligibility for a state subsidy or discount program. We do not collect financial information in this manner.
• Payment Information. KinderCare provides the option of paying for certain KinderCare services via the payment feature on Family Connection through a PCI-compliant payment processing Service Provider. However, KinderCare does not collect or maintain any Payment Information. To make online payments, you or someone you authorize to make payments on your account may use Family Connection to provide bank, credit card, or other payment-related information (“Payment Information”) to our payment processing Service Provider. Your Payment Information is only used for billing purposes and to provide services. 

About your child directly from you, with consent. KinderCare must collect certain Personal Information about your child in order to provide you with the childcare services you request, including:

• Identifiers. We collect your child’s name, age and date of birth, gender.
• Biometrics. We collect certain limited biometric information about your child, including their height, weight, eye color, ethnicity, and distinguishing marks.
• Health Information. We collect health information related to your child’s care needs including allergies, medications, medical care provider, and immunization history, to the extent this information is volunteered by a parent/guardian. We collect this information to ensure that your child receives safe and appropriate care.

KinderCare only collects Personal Information about children with consent from the child’s parent or guardian. Please note that some of the Personal Information we collect about children is essential to providing a safe and healthy environment for the children in our care. As such, if you refuse to provide us with certain Personal Information about your child, or later withdraw your consent for KinderCare to use certain Personal Information about your child, KinderCare may not be able to provide you with childcare services.

From your use of the HiMama Mobile App, with consent. KinderCare offers its families a mobile application (the “Mobile App”) powered by Hi Mama, Inc. (“HiMama”). If you choose to download and use the Mobile App, we may collect the following Personal Information:

• Identifiers. We collect your name, email address and other identifiers to save your profile.
• Photos and Videos. Childcare center staff may upload and share photos and videos of enrolled children, with limitations. 
• User Generated Material. You have the option to upload photos and videos and to post comments via the Mobile App. 
• Internet or Similar Network Activity. We collect information about your activity on Mobile App via the cookies that enable the Mobile App’s features. 

For more information about the mobile application, please see KinderCare’s Privacy Notice for Mobile App Users . Please note that the mobile application is not owned by KinderCare and, as such, is governed by HiMama’s Privacy Policy  and Terms of Service. 

From third parties, with a legitimate interest. Depending on your circumstances, KinderCare may receive Personal Information about you from certain third parties. We collect this information to achieve our legitimate interest of making our services available to a broad array of customers. For example, we may receive Personal Information from: 

• Your Employer. If you are offered KinderCare services through your employer, we may receive employment-related information on your eligibility to use the services as well as identifiers like your contact information.
• Government Agencies. If you are eligible for a childcare subsidy, we may receive Personal Information from government agencies related to your eligibility or reporting information. 
• Marketing Companies. From time to time we may work with marketing companies that provide us with contact information for individuals who have consented to receive marketing materials. You have the right to opt out of these communications  at any time.

Automatically from your use of the Site, with a legitimate interest. We use website analytics and other technologies to collect internet or other similar network activity, including Personal Information and anonymous data, from your use of the Site. We collect this information to achieve our legitimate interest of maintaining and improving the Site and our services. The information we collect in this manner may include:

• Log Files. We use log files to automatically collect certain Personal Information including your Internet Protocol address, as well as anonymous technical information including data about your computer or other device, the type of browser or operating system your device uses, the programs, services, and version of software you use, and the address of any linking websites when you request a web page while visiting the Site.
• Cookies. Like most commercial websites, we use cookies to track use of our Site. Please read our Cookie Notice  for more information about how we use cookies.

We may combine this information with the Personal Information you provide to us or merge it into aggregate information about Site visitors and traffic to analyze preferences, trends, and statistics.

How We Use Your Personal Information. We use your Personal Information for the purposes described at the time of collection and for other purposes with your consent and as permitted by law. Depending on your interactions with KinderCare, we may use your Personal Information: 

To provide you with KinderCare services. We use your Personal Information to provide you with the KinderCare services you have requested. As part of providing such services, we may use this Personal Information to:

• confirm your registration or enable you to use Family Connection and other Site features. 
• effectively communicate with you.
• ensure that your child is receiving safe and appropriate care.
• administer first aid and other medical care as necessary.
• comply with licensing regulations and other legal requirements.
• fulfill any other purpose for which you provide your information or provide your consent.

Text messages. By providing us with your wireless phone number, you consent to KinderCare sending you informational text messages related to your childcare services. You can unsubscribe from text messages by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any of these text messages. Messaging and data charges may apply to any text message you receive or send. Please contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about messaging or data charges. KinderCare does not send marketing communications by text message or engage in telemarketing activities.

For our direct marketing efforts. We may also use your Personal Information to communicate with you about our services that may be of interest to you in order to achieve our legitimate interest of direct marketing. As part of our direct marketing efforts, we may:

• respond to inquiries we receive from you.

• send you promotional messages, advertising, surveys, and other information that may be of interest to you.  

• provide you with other information from and about KinderCare or a business or organization with which we are associated.

Our direct marketing activities are based on your stated preferences or our profiling of your characteristics and preferences based on your interactions with the Site and information obtained from third parties. KinderCare will only contact you in ways compatible with your communication choices .  

To create and maintain a trusted and safe childcare environment.  KinderCare has a legitimate interest in creating and maintaining a trusted and safe childcare environment for its customers, their children, and KinderCare employees. To that end, KinderCare may use your Personal Information to:

• detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
• conduct security investigations and risk assessments.
• comply with KinderCare’s legal obligations and licensing requirements.
• protect your privacy, enforce this Privacy Notice, and KinderCare’s other policies. 
• if we believe it is necessary, identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to KinderCare, or to others.

To maintain and improve the security and functionality of the Site. We may process the Personal Information we collect automatically from your use of the Site to achieve our legitimate interest of maintaining and improving the security and functionality of the Site. We use this Personal Information to:

• personalize your user experience on the Site. 
• ensure that our web pages appear and function properly.
• determine which website referred you to our Site.

This Site Is Not For Children. This Site is designed for use by adults, not children. KinderCare does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 16 who may visit our Site, and we do not want to include any Personal Information about children in our databases without first obtaining parental consent. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Site or on or through any of its features, register on the Site, or provide any Personal Information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or username you may use. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 16 without verified parent or guardian consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, or if you become aware of any unauthorized submission of information to KinderCare, including children’s information, please contact KinderCare at [email protected] or toll free at 1-833-KCE-PRIV (1-833-523-7748).

Security. KinderCare employs commercially appropriate and reasonable safeguards both online and offline to maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of Personal Information that we collect about you. KinderCare maintains internal policies to govern the collection, processing and handling of data, and restricts access to data to those employees who require such access to perform their job functions. We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures.

Data Security. We use encryption to protect information online, and the servers that store your Personal Information are housed in a secure environment. We update and test our technology to improve the protection of our information about you and to assure the integrity of that information. Even so, no security measure is 100% perfect. We cannot guarantee the security of your information and do not assume any responsibility for the unauthorized use or access to your information under our control.

When you to register with us, you will have an account name and password, and we will issue a unique account number to you. You will also register a sign-in/out code in connection with the enrollment of your child at our affiliated childcare centers. We will never ask you for your password. The safety and security of your Personal Information also depends on you, and you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Also, remember to log off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit.

Disclosure. Vendors that provide us with various services (collectively, “Service Providers”) may have access to your Personal Information while they are performing their contractual obligations. We prohibit our Service Providers from selling or disclosing the Personal Information we provide, and we require all Service Providers to maintain confidentiality standards that are commercially reasonable to ensure the security of your Personal Information. 

KinderCare does not sell Personal Information to third parties. However, from time to time, we may disclose Personal Information to third parties, in particular childcare center regulators or medical providers, for our bona fide business purposes. In addition, we may disclose Personal Information to third parties:

• if we have your consent to share the information.
• in an anonymized, deidentified or aggregated state.
• to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• if we are required by federal, state, or local law to disclose the information or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with a civil, criminal, or regulatory inquiry, investigation, subpoena, or summons by federal, state, or local authorities.
• to exercise or defend our legal claims.
• in the event that we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of a portion of our assets—any Personal Information you provide us may be a part of the assets transferred.

KinderCare reserves the right to disclose aggregated information about our Site visitors and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. 

Behavioral Advertising. We allow some Service Providers to assist us with behavioral advertising by collecting and analyzing certain information when you visit our Site (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject clicked or scrolled over). These Service Providers typically use a cookie or third-party web beacon to collect this information.  

Controlling Your Personal Information.  KinderCare provides you the ability to exercise certain controls and choices regarding our collection, use and sharing of your information. In accordance with applicable law, your options to control your Personal Information may include:

• correcting, updating, and deleting the Personal Information in your account.
• changing the services in which you have enrolled. 
• changing your preferences for how and what about we communicate with you. 
• choosing whether to receive marketing communications from us, including promotions, surveys, and information about products and services that may be of interest to you.
• how the cookies  we use interact with your browser.

Do Not Track Signals. Do Not Track is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers.  When a user turns on the Do Not Track signal, the browser sends a message to websites requesting them not to track the user. Social Networking. The below Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding contract between you and KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc.™ and its affiliates, corporate parent(s), and subsidiaries, including but not limited to KinderCare® Learning Centers, CCLC®, Champions®, Knowledge Beginnings®, The Grove School®, Cambridge Schools™, Rainbow Child Care Center, and any other entity over which KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc.™ has control (collectively, “KinderCare,” “us,” “our,” or “we”).  These Terms, together with our Privacy Notice , govern your use of our our websites, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Site”). Any terms we use in these Terms of Use without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Privacy Notice. Please note that additional, separate terms may apply to our services and programs.  

THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A CLASS ACTION WAIVER AND AN ARBITRATION PROVISION THAT GOVERNS ANY DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND KINDERCARE.

Acceptance. To access, browse, or use our Site, you must agree to be unconditionally bound by these Terms. You can accept the Terms by clicking to accept or agree to the Terms where this option is made available to you in any agreement, electronic form, or the user interface for any service we offer, or by actually using the Site. These Terms will remain in effect while you use the Site. If you do not agree and accept these Terms, you may not use the Site, and you should immediately cease all usage of this Site. Consent to Do Business Online. By accessing our Site, registering with KinderCare, or typing your name into any of our electronic forms and indicating your acceptance or submission of information by clicking a box, you consent to (a) KinderCare communicating with you electronically; (b) receiving all applications, notices, disclosures and authorizations (collectively, “Records”) from us electronically; and (c) entering into agreements and transactions using electronic Records and signatures. Please note that federal law treats electronic signatures as having the same legal force and effect as if they were signed on paper by hand, and online contracts have the same legal force as signing an equivalent paper contract in ink. We will use electronic documents for all communications, agreements, disclosures, authorizations and other documents necessary to provide you with the Site. You must have a computer or other web-enabled device, connection to the internet, an active email account, and the ability to receive and read PDF files (such as Adobe® Acrobat® Reader) to conduct business with us electronically. You agree to be responsible for keeping your own Records. You may print or download Records from the Site and keep them for your own reference. Registration. The Site offers features that allow you to register for KinderCare’s programs and services. For example, you may use our Site to enroll your child in one of our childcare programs, set up an account or sign up for electronic payments on our Family Connection  parent portal.  If you register with us online, you will receive an email from KinderCare confirming that you have completed the registration process. If you do not receive an email from us within a reasonable time period after you register, please contact us at 1-877-778-2090. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and you are responsible for all matters relating to your account and password. 

Communications from KinderCare. We may use your contact information to communicate with you about your use of our Site. For example, we may send you service announcements or administrative communications by email, phone, mail, or other means. We may send you marketing communications by email or mail. You understand that you receive these communications as part of your use of the Site. As part of our policy to provide you total privacy, we also provide you the option to opt out from receiving marketing communications from KinderCare. However, you will not be able to opt out from receiving service announcements and administrative messages.

Texting Consent. By providing us with your wireless phone number, you consent to KinderCare sending you informational text messages related to the products, services, or information you have requested from us. You can unsubscribe from text messages by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any of these text messages. Messaging and data charges may apply to any text message you receive or send. Please contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about messaging or data charges.

Mobile Applications. KinderCare offers its families a mobile application powered by HiMama, Inc. (“HiMama”). The mobile application is currently made available to you free of charge for your personal (noncommercial) use. Please note that the mobile application is not owned by KinderCare and, as such, is governed by HiMama’s Privacy Policy  and Terms of Service . Site Contents and Ownership. Unless otherwise expressly indicated, the information contained on this Site, including but not limited to all images, illustrations, designs, photographs, video clips, text, icons, designs, written information, and other materials that appear on the Site are copyrights, trademarks, trade dress or other intellectual property owned, controlled, or licensed (collectively, the “Contents”) by KinderCare and its affiliates, or are the property of their respective owners and are protected by U. Reports. KinderCare may, from time to time, deidentify the Personal Information (“Deidentified Information”) that we collect about you and combine it with others’ Deidentified Information in order to generate reports and studies. KinderCare uses these reports and studies for internal purposes only. Any such reports or studies are the sole and exclusive property of KinderCare. You hereby assign any rights you may have to such reports, studies, and your Deidentified Information contained therein to KinderCare in perpetuity throughout the world for any and all present or future uses in any and all languages and for no compensation. All Deidentified Information will be treated as nonconfidential and nonproprietary. KinderCare shall be under no obligation of any kind with respect to such Deidentified Information and shall be free to reproduce, make derivative works from, use, disclose, and distribute the Reports to others without limitation. Additionally, KinderCare may use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in generating reports or studies for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to developing, manufacturing, or marketing products incorporating such information.

Your Use of the Site. As a user of the Site, you have a revocable, nontransferable, nonexclusive license to access the Site, view information contained on the Site, and interact with the Site solely for your own personal use. You may not use the Site for any commercial purpose (other than for transacting business with KinderCare) or for any unlawful or wrongful purpose. KinderCare may grant third parties the right to “link” to the Site if the third party makes its request in writing.  All third parties that have been granted rights to “link” to the Site must use the URL linking mechanism supplied by KinderCare. User Generated Material. • seek to harm or exploit children by exposing them to inappropriate content, asking for Personal Information or otherwise;

• seek to collect others’ email addresses, usernames, or passwords by any means for any purpose;
• seek to transmit chain letters, bulk or junk email, whether automated or not, or to interfere with, disrupt or create an undue burden on KinderCare or the networks or services connected to the Site, or to install or attempt to install or promote spyware, malware or other computer code on our computers or equipment or the computers or equipment of third parties;

Terms of Use Revisions. KinderCare reserves the right to revise these Terms of Use by updating this posting without prior notice.  If we revise these Terms of Use, we will notify you the next time you visit our website via a pop-up notification.  You agree that in the event any portion of these Terms of Use are found to be unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms of Use shall remain in full force and effect and the otherwise unenforceable portion shall be amended so as to be enforceable to the greatest extent permitted by law. You agree to be bound by any such revisions.  You are advised to periodically visit this page to determine the then current Terms of Use.

Assignment. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer these Terms or your rights or obligations hereunder, or your Site accounts in any way (by operation of law or otherwise) without prior written consent from KinderCare. We may transfer, assign, or delegate these Terms and our rights and obligations without consent.

Governing Law. KinderCare controls and operates this Site from its offices within the United States. Claims relating to, including the use of, this Site and the materials contained herein are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Oregon. If you choose to access this Site from another location, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

Dispute Resolution. Our Terms will be construed, and their performance enforced, under the laws of the State of Delaware without reference to conflicts of law principles. Any dispute relating to our Terms or the Site shall be litigated only in a court having jurisdiction and venue in Multnomah County, Oregon, for state court causes of action and in the District of Oregon for federal court causes of action.  By using our Site, each user expressly consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. We may assign our Terms, in whole or in part, to an affiliated entity or to a third party without notice to our users. Any dispute or claim relating to or arising out of the Terms must be submitted to nonbinding mediation prior to the commencement of arbitration, litigation, or any other proceeding before a trier of fact. The parties agree to act in good faith in any such mediation and to identify a mutually acceptable mediator. If a mediator cannot be agreed upon by the parties, each party shall designate a mediator, and those mediators shall select a third mediator who shall act as the neutral mediator to assist the parties in attempting to reach a resolution. All parties to the mediation shall share equally in its costs.

Class Action Waiver. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO COMMENCE OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST KINDERCARE RELATED TO ANY CLAIM, DISPUTE OR CONTROVERSY, AND, WHERE APPLICABLE, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO OPT OUT OF ANY CLASS PROCEEDING AGAINST KINDERCARE OTHERWISE COMMENCED.

Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof. If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, the provision shall be modified by the court and interpreted so as best to accomplish the objectives of the original provision to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in effect.

California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice supplements the information contained in KinderCare’s Privacy Notice  and applies solely to Site visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“Consumers”). We adopted this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.

Please note that certain exemptions and limitations apply to your rights and KinderCare’s obligations under the CCPA. These rights and requirements may not apply in certain situations depending on your relationship with KinderCare, our other legal obligations, or as otherwise provided in the CCPA.

Personal Information We Collect. KinderCare collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular Consumer or device (“Personal Information“). The specific pieces of Personal Information we collect from a given consumer depends on how that consumer interacts with KinderCare. As a general matter, KinderCare has collected the following categories of Personal Information from Consumers within the last twelve (12) months:

Personal Information does not include (i) deidentified or aggregated Consumer information, (ii) publicly available information from government records, or (iii) information protected by certain federal privacy laws and subject to an exclusion under the CCPA.

Sources for the Personal Information We Collect. We collect the Personal Information described above from the following sources:

• Directly from you. The Personal Information we collect directly from you depends on your interactions with KinderCare, such as when you communicate with us, register to use the Family Connection parent portal, enroll your child in our services, fill out a form, or submit an inquiry to KinderCare. 
• Indirectly from you. We collect certain Personal Information automatically from your use of the Site or the HiMama mobile application. 
• Third parties. As described in more detail below. 

Use of Personal Information. Depending on your interactions with KinderCare, we may use or disclose the Personal Information we collect about you for one or more of the following business purposes:

• to provide you with our services, which includes, but is not limited to, confirming your registration to use Family Connection and other Site features, communicating with you, ensuring that your child is receiving safe and appropriate care, and complying with licensing regulations and other legal requirements. 
• for our direct marketing efforts, including when we send you marketing communications about our services that may be of interest to you, respond to your inquiries, and send you promotional messages, advertising, surveys, and other information that may be of interest to you. 
• to create and maintain a trusted and safe childcare environment (e.g., to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents, conduct security investigations and risk assessments, enforce our policies, or comply with our legal obligations and licensing requirements).
• to maintain and improve the security and functionality of the Site by processing the Personal Information we collect automatically from your use of the Site. We use this information to personalize your user experience; ensure that our web pages appear and function properly; improve the Site, programs, products, services, advertising, and content; and perform other functions.   
• for other purposes as permitted by law, such as notifying you about changes to the Site; protecting our rights and property; complying with a law, regulation, legal process or court order; or fulfilling any other purpose with your consent.

We will not collect additional categories of Personal Information or use the Personal Information we collect for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without notifying you.

Disclosing Personal Information. KinderCare may disclose Personal Information for a bona fide business purpose to the following categories of Third Parties: 

• childcare center regulators.
• medical providers.
• law enforcement, regulatory and other governmental agencies.
• service providers or third parties. 
• parent entities, affiliates and subsidiaries.
• cookie  information recipients, subject to their respective privacy notices. 

In the preceding twelve (12) months, KinderCare has disclosed the following categories of Personal Information for a business purpose:

• identifiers.
• California Customer Records Personal Information categories.
• protected classification characteristics under California or federal law.
• commercial information.
• biometric information.
• internet or other similar network activity.
• professional or employment related information.

No Sale of Personal Information. KinderCare has not sold Personal Information in the preceding twelve (12) months. If KinderCare ever chooses to sell Personal Information, you would have the right to opt out of the sale of your Personal Information.

Your Rights and Choices. The CCPA provides Consumers with specific rights regarding their Personal Information. The following paragraphs describe your CCPA rights and explain how to exercise those rights. Each of these rights is subject to our receipt of your verifiable consumer request (see Submit a Consumer Privacy Request ).

Right to Disclosure. You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your Personal Information over the past 12 months, such as:

• the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you.
• the categories of sources for the Personal Information we have collected about you.
• our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that Personal Information.
• the categories of third parties with whom we share that Personal Information.
• if we sold or disclosed your Personal Information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing (i) sales, identifying the Personal Information categories that each category of recipient purchased; and (ii) disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the Personal Information categories that each category of recipient obtained.

KinderCare is only required to respond to two disclosure requests within a 12-month period.  

Right to Access. You have the right to request that we provide you with access to specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you over the past 12 months (also called a data portability request). If you submit a right to access request, we will provide you with copies of the requested pieces of Personal Information in a portable and readily usable format. Please note that KinderCare is prohibited by law from disclosing copies of certain pieces of Personal Information (e.g., government identification numbers, financial account information, and passwords or security questions and answers) because the disclosure would create a substantial, articulable, and unreasonable risk to the security of the information, our business systems, or your account. KinderCare is only required by law to respond to two access requests within a 12-month period.  

Right to Deletion. You have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information that we collected from you and retained, with certain exceptions. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the Personal Information is necessary for KinderCare or our Service Providers to:

• complete the transaction for which we collected the Personal Information, provide a service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
• detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
• debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
• comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 seq.).
• enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us.
• comply with a legal obligation.
• make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.

Submit a Consumer Privacy Request. To exercise any of the above rights, please submit a verifiable consumer privacy request to KinderCare:

• using our online Consumer Privacy Request.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with Personal Information unless we can verify your identity and your authority to make the request and confirm that the Personal Information relates to you. A verifiable consumer privacy request must:

• provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we have collected Personal Information or an authorized representative.
• describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

You do not have to register with KinderCare to make a verifiable consumer privacy request. We will only use Personal Information provided in a verifiable consumer privacy request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request. 

KinderCare’s Response. We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of receipt. If we require more time, we will notify you in writing of the reason and extension period. We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding receipt of the verifiable consumer request. If we cannot comply with part or all of your request, we will explain the reasons in our response. 

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer privacy request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

Authorized Agent. You may make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. Otherwise, only you, or a person you have designated in writing as your authorized agent or who is registered with the California Secretary of State to act on your behalf, or to whom you have provided power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465 (“Authorized Agent”) may make a verifiable consumer request related to your Personal Information. If you wish to have an Authorized Agent make a verifiable consumer request on your behalf, they will need to provide us with sufficient written proof that you have designated them as your Authorized Agent, and we will still require you to provide sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information.

Nondiscrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by law, we will not do any of the following as a result of your having exercised your right under the CCPA:

• deny you goods or services.
• charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties.
• provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.
• suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

Other California Privacy Rights. California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84 entitles California residents to ask us for a notice that identifies the categories of Personal Information we share with affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and provides contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties. Art, painting and illustration lessons for all ages with our artist

The ability to create the most incredible images in your imagination is an important part of personality formation, which helps develop thinking and improve memory. Therefore, creativity is simply necessary for any child! We offer young artists to develop their talents and learn how to transfer their plans to the canvas. Classes in the art studio are a full-fledged structured course that will help the child to master the necessary knowledge of painting and drawing step by step.

The teachers of our educational center have developed an interesting training program that provides an opportunity to develop artistic skills, develop creative thinking in children from the age of 3.

Junior group program for children 3-4 and 5-7 years old: based on a gradual study of the basics of fine art, drawing lessons for children provide an understanding of color, shape, volume and composition. In light and interesting exercises, the child will be able to express himself.
Middle group program for children 8, 9, 10,11 years old: designed for a gradual acquaintance with the academic foundations of fine arts:
Mastering various art materials
Studying the design of an object, its location in space
Correct determination of proportions
Construction of single geometric shapes (cylinder , cube, ball)

For children aged 12-16 we offer painting and drawing lessons where the child will be able to understand and feel the specifics of academic drawing, develop creative abilities and knowledge in different styles and directions of painting and drawing. Acquaintance with drawing techniques, features of working with various graphic materials (pencil, charcoal, sanguine, various image techniques – line, tonal spot, shading, shading. Welcome to the magical world of dance art!

Giving your child to ballroom dancing, you will give him not only an exciting activity, but also good physical health. Ballroom dancing will help the child form the correct posture, increase endurance, improve the functioning of the cardiovascular system, strengthen muscles and develop stress resistance. Group 5-7 years

The Temporary Shelter for Women with Children in Difficult Life Situations (TWC) can be contacted by women with children who have suffered from domestic violence, abuse, who do not have housing, jobs and support from relatives, women raising orphans, to provide emergency social assistance and address issues of their further arrangement. What is Kare@Home?

Kare@Home is an at-home and in-person program that lets you take care of your home and work commitments, while we take care of your little one’s learning and childcare needs. What is Social Bubble?

We believe that socialization is the key for happiness of children. In a social bubble setting, a family chooses three or four other families and everyone decides to come together thereby giving children an opportunity to socialize in the presence of a trusted adult. All the precautions are strictly adhered to by the bubble members. Children benefit from peer-peer and they enjoy moving within these bubbles simply because the chain reaction of “feel good feeling” makes children feel happy to see each other happy

What is the age eligibility for the program?

Here is the eligibility for all 3 formats:

Teacher@Home: 2 years – 6 years

Nanny@Home: 6 months – 6 years

Edukarer@Home: 15 months – 8 years

All programs are available in 2 formats – 1 on 1 learning and learning through the Social Bubble concept (recommended).

What is the criteria of selection of Teachers?

Our teachers and staff go through multi-stage background checks and comprehensive psychometric analysis. They also get trained on POCSO, POSH, First Aid and Fire Safety.

Is the curriculum followed at Kare@home equivalent to what is delivered at centre?

Yes! The Curriculum is aligned with our Early Years’ Matter KLAY Curriculum. While the activities to achieve the goals might vary a little due to the logistics and mode of delivery, the program will focus on the overall development of the child

In the current scenario, what safety measures do you take?

Our staff have been trained by our Health and Safety team. Vaccinations for all teachers and staff pan India have been conducted through special tie-ups with hospitals. We provide a safety kit to each one of them that includes a sanitizer, hand wash, masks, gloves, etc. Our teachers and nannies also go through multiple levels of health screening, immunity checks and temperature testing. We also make sure that none of our staff come from containment zones or a highly affected area.

What is the child to teacher/caregiver ratio?

In case you opt for the Social Bubble setup, the ratio will be 1:4 for the Teacher@Home program i. e. every teacher will be engaging with 4 children from the neighborhood during the class. For the Caregiver@Home format, it will go to 1:2

In case of 1 on 1 learning, the ratio will be 1:1

How would I know what all is required or followed with respect to curriculum in a week?

We will be sharing the materials required for the coming week, along with the weekly plans every Saturday, on your registered email ID.

Are the timings flexible? Which days will it be conducted?

You can choose any slot out of the time slots provided. Our teachers and nannies will deliver the at-home service, Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays.

What is the level of intervention we will need from parents?

While we as a team of early years’ specialists and educators put the program together, we still need the parent’s help and support to achieve what we would otherwise achieve in a traditional classroom. We are cognizant of the several commitments you may have on the work/home front; keeping that in mind we have worked towards establishing a routine with respect to your child’s engagement in the program

Can I enrol for both Kare@Home and Learn@Home program?

Yes, you can. Please reach out to your Centre Director to understand the pricing for the same

If in future when the centre re-opens, can I still keep my child enrolled in the program?

While we wait to hear from respective state Governments on the guidelines for re-opening physical centres, in case of centre re-opening, parents have a choice to continue with the home learning module, or enroll in the physical centres. There will also be an option to opt for a hybrid model of learning, where parents can opt for 2/3 days of home learning along with the remaining days at the centre.

Is this program paid for?

Yes, the price is dependent on the program, duration and mode of learning. Register with your preference to get a quote

My child has already enrolled for online learning session. Can we have teachers to support them in their classes and school assignments?

Yes, ofcourse! You can opt for our new format of Edukarer@Home, where our trained teachers will support your child in their online school learning, help them with school assignments and engage them in activities, story time, and music and movement sessions. The format also includes basic child support like feeding, diaper changing, potty training (For toddlers) and putting the child to sleep.

What is the scope of work for Teacher@Home format?

Our teachers will be responsible for the delivery of KLAY’s Early Year’ Matter curriculum to your home. They will also engage your child with assignments and learning activities during the subscription period. Read the detailed scope of work here

What is the scope of work for the Edukarer@Home format?

Our teachers will be there to support you with your child’s online school learning, school assignments and also provide you with basic child support. Read the detailed scope of work here

What is the scope of work for the Nanny@Home format?

Our nannies will be there to engage your child and support in day-to-day activities such as feeding, sanitization, playing/singing with the child and putting the child to bed. Read the detailed scope of work here

Should parents have any privacy concerns?

All the data is secure and Digital IP protection is provided with watermark through back-end integration with block chain encoding. Neither the teacher nor the parent can use our curriculum content/framework outside the system. The child and parent details shared with us will not be shared with the third party and reside only with us. Email id of the parent will be shared only to get logins created. It will not be used for any other purpose.

Can we ask your Teacher/Caregiver to take shower (bath) at our place once she reaches?

No, in this case it would be disrespecting the staff emotions. We will ensure the KLAY staff takes necessary precautions and measures on the personal hygiene. We need to trust and respect their emotions as well. Please refer to the scope of work document for more details.

What is pause period? How does it work?

In case we find out that the area close to the residential area of our staff gets affected or has positive cases, we will not be sending that particular staff to your house. Similarly, if your area gets affected, our staff has the liberty to take a break or pause the services for a few days. We will replace the staff in case the current staff’s area is affected. However, if your area is affected/ sealed, the services will re-start only after things get settle down

When will Preschools Reopen?

We are still waiting for the Government nod to reopen our Preschool & Daycare centres, in some states however a few states like TN and Telangana have already allowed to open the crèche. We are hoping that by late 2021 or early 2022, all state governments may, may allow for the restart of all preschools and daycares / creche’. However, in the meantime, you can block your seat right away and enroll your child in our range of online, in-person and at-home programs. Once our centres do open, you can continue to avail these programs or a hybrid of 2 of them, depending on your child’s learning needs and your requirements. Please speak to your respective Centre Directors or call us on 76767 08888 to do so.

When are the government guidelines expected to reopen the centres?

As per our conversations with the Government, we are expecting a decision by the end of the year. We will keep parents updated as and when we have updates so it gives you ample time to plan ahead.

How is the reopening of KLAY Centres planned? 

The reopening of our centres will be planned as per the below parameters. The end goal as always is to do our very best to ensure that you child is always safe at KLAY.

Age groups: We will reopen for all age groups together – infants will however, have their designated space.  We may also look at staggering the timings of entry and exit to avoid crowding at the entry area/reception. We may also conduct mixed group sessions for better peer (social) interaction depending upon the attendance. We will also watch if the Ministry of Women and Child imposes any restriction on the operations of day care facilities as childcare as a service falls under this ministry.

Class strength: The number of children per class depends on the capacity per centre mandated by the Government. This is likely to be around 50% – 75% of total capacity. We will issue the availability further to intimation from the Government.

 

Class duration: Initially, for the first two weeks (settling period), we will restrict classes to a shorter duration – between 1 to 2 hours depending on the age. We will slowly increase it according to the comfort level of the children.  

Are admissions open for preschool kids for the new academic year (2022-2023)?

Absolutely! Preparations to welcome your little ones back to a safe and healthy place is happening in full swing. Due to the uncertainty, we do not expect you to pay the full fee upfront, but we do request you to block your seat at a KLAY centre near you, at the earliest, with a minimum advance fee of Rs 4999. This amount can be used for when the centres reopen or can also be used for whichever program that you opt for in the new academic year 2022-2023. You may also choose to start with online and transition to offline classes at a later date.

 

Since we will open in a phased manner, and might not have full occupancy, the total number of seats available would be lesser. Also, your confirmation of your child’s seat will help us plan better from a logistics, health, and safety standpoint. Please speak to your CDs at the earliest to complete the process.

What are the health and safety protocols in place?

We are working day and night to ensure we leave no stone unturned when it comes to the safety of the child. For one the teachers and staff who will be caring for your little ones in the centre are fully vaccinated. We will also follow a comprehensive 3 pronged approach to health and safety covering – Centre and Staff Hygiene, Child Safety and Parent Protocols

 

What measures will be taken to help your child settle in school given that parents will not be allowed inside?

Once children return, they will go through KLAY’s intensive 2-week settling program to help them transition from home to school smoothly. Focussing on PSED – Personal Social and Emotional Development – of the child, the activities will be built to give children an opportunity to self-express, gain confidence, and practice mindfulness.

We strongly believe that the parent’s state of mind is an important contributor to how well the children settle. We have implemented mandatory Child Personal Record meetings for the parent to meet one-on-one with our curriculum experts so they have the right mind-set and tools required to help manage the transition. In addition, parents have access to KLAY’s Parent Support Helpline in case they want to discuss their apprehensions/fears.

 

Is it safe for my child to return to daycare after it reopens?

The health and hygiene of your little one is and has always been of utmost priority to us. Our safety protocols have become even more stringent in the new normal and are based on CDC guidelines, international standards followed in preschools across the world and recommendations from our parent community. Do rest assured that we will do what it takes to ensure that we create for your little one a happy, healthy and safe place at KLAY.

What if my child is an infant? What are the settling measures that will be taken?

If your child is an infant and you are feeding your child, we are making arrangements for the parent to feed the child in a room that is separate from the rest of the children to reduce exposure. Parents will be able to know more on this during the centre tour/ or via a conversation with our centre directors. Please reach out to your centre director in case you would like to know more about the process.

 

Will online classes continue after reopening?

Yes, our online preschool classes and at home programs will run simultaneously with the in-centre classes. You can choose one or a hybrid of two formats as per your convenience or work schedule. We, however, recommend that you include physical classrooms as part of the plan as children in the early years (below 6 years) learn best in the company of other children and through play. Social interaction is extremely critical for their all-round development. 

 

What do you mean by a Hybrid model of learning and care?

Parents can choose a combination of two formats from the online, at home and in centre programs. The week will be split into 3 days of one format and 2 days of another. Parents can choose a combination basis their convenience of work from home and office schedules. That said, the child will be exposed to two different routines, two different learning environments and teachers, which the child will take some time to adapt and settle. Please expect overlapping of concepts in the hybrid models. However, under these circumstances our focus is more on PSED (physical, personal, social and emotional development) of children at the centres, which was missed out during the pandemic. Talk to your Centre Director to know more about our hybrid models.

 

In case of an emergency if a centre shuts down, will online classes be available for my child?

Of course, we will have both our online and in-person programs running simultaneously even after centres reopen. Parents will also have the flexibility to choose a hybrid model.

Will Teacher@Home be available until school reopens?

Yes, as mentioned in the previous response, our in-person programs will be available to use. Parent can choose between our Teacher@Home, Edukarer@Home or Nanny@Home services as per their unique needs and requirements.

Any restrictions in place for intake of students?

This will depend on the capacity per centre mandated by the Government (likely to be 50% – 75% of total capacity). In case your child is unable to join the nearest centre, we can check at another centre which has spare capacity.

Can children be dropped into school on particular days (when offices open) and looked after at home for the rest of the days?

Yes, you can opt for a hybrid model, or emergency care, wherein parents can opt few days at center and the rest at home. However, for better planning, we would keep the days fixed with respect to pre-schooling. We request you to get in touch with your Centre Director to discuss the days.

Is it going to be compulsory for children to attend school once it reopens or can the parents make the decision to continue online/in-person programs?

No, it will not be compulsory. We will leave it to the parent’s discretion when it comes to choosing the format of learning – in centre/online/in-person at home – but we recommend children learn at our centres to make the best of our in-centre learning environment and the benefits of social interaction.

Most parents are working from home away from their office locations. Can we be flexible in choosing any location?

Yes, definitely. Please get in touch with your centre directors and they will ensure you find a seat close to your new location. However, please bear in mind that this also depends on the capacity of the centre. If your closest centre is already full, we can look at the next best option.

What about after schoolers? Is there any program available for children between the ages of 5 and 10?

The KLAY after-school program will be the same as it was before. This program will also include a settling period of two weeks during which the children will come in for a shorter duration of time.

What is the current process and structure of fee payment?

The process varies if you are a new parent who is securing a seat versus an existing parent who is looking to get promoted to the next level. You will receive a separate communication from us on the process to block a seat for your child in a centre of your preference.

Are we going to be charged for both online classes and daycare?

You will be charged only for the format of learning that you would opt for your child. In case of exigencies, if the centre needs to shut or the child is unwell and cannot come to the centre, you can always opt for the online learning option for your child for that period, without any extra fee.

Will there be a renewal fee for old students?

The annual fee for the year needs to be paid, apart from the monthly tuition fee. This is same as before. There is no separate renewal fee.

Do existing parents have to go for new admissions or a transfer in case of location changes?

If you have moved cities, you can opt for a transfer within the KLAY centres.

I paid for admissions just before the lockdown. Will there be a refund for it?

If you are looking to withdraw your child from KLAY, yes, your fee will be refunded. If you wish to continue with us, it will be adjusted with the fee of the program of your choice. Your Centre Director will reach out to you with further details.

I am using the KARE@Home program. Do I need to take admissions again?

If you are opting for an in-centre admission, it will be regarded as a separate program and we need to do the enrolment process again. You can block your seat here. If you are already part of the KARE@Home program and you wish to continue, you can do that as well.

How would the fee structure differ if we were to choose a hybrid structure of classes?

There would be different options available under the Hybrid learning model. It will not be the sum total of the fees of the two programs, if you are choosing a hybrid of two formats. It will be a hybrid fee model and you will definitely not be paying twice. You will hear from us shortly about the hybrid programs and the associated fees.

What are the measures in place of any staff member develops flue/COVID like symptoms?

We have chalked out detailed emergency response mechanisms in case a staff member or a child develops symptoms or is tested positive.

• Isolation in sick room till parent arrival
• Evaluate situation for 3 days
• If symptoms don’t persist, centre to be operational after deep cleaning

If child/staff is tested positive
• Isolation in sick room till parent arrival
• Home isolation and COVID test if symptoms persist
• Centre closure for stipulated days (based on no. of cases)
• Disinfection of centre by pest control agency

Are the teachers and staff vaccinated?

Yes, all our teachers and staff are fully vaccinated.

Will the staff wear masks at all times?

Yes, our staff will wear masks at all times. All support staff will wear freshly washed aprons and teachers
will wear clean waistcoats at all times. Kitchen, housekeeping and security staff will wear caps,
protective gear and gloves at all times.

What are the recommendations for parents who are staying away from the city?

We will decide basis the travel history and the State Government guidelines on testing prior/post travel for this. It is always better to err on the side of caution, and so we recommend that parents self-isolate for 14 days post travel and monitor themselves and their children for any symptoms before sending them to school.

Physical distancing is challenging for children below the age of 6. What are your measures to enforce this?

While we know that it is difficult to get our children to sit in one place and maintain a distance from their friends, it is our endeavour to implement adequate measures so children follow physical distancing rules to their best possible ability, while at the centre. Demarcated spots for each child, reduced class strength, rearrangement of furniture and staggering of activities will be implemented to ensure physical distancing.

Will the CCTVs still be available?

Yes, CCTVs will be available for recording at the centre and will be made available to parents in a phased out manner, to monitor their child while they are in school.

Does the temperature of family members need to be recorded in addition to the child and parent?

Yes, the temperatures of the immediate family staying in the same house as that of the child will need to be recorded and shared with us.  

Home cooked food may turn cold when sent in boxes for the child. Any solution for this?

Our centres are equipped with Microwaves and if parents are OK, heating food prior to serving can be done by the staff. All support staff will be using PPE’s – Mask, gloves, head cap, aprons etc. as a precautionary measure. Alternately, we suggest dropping off the lunch just before mealtime. In any case, opening our kitchens considering the current circumstances is a risk we must not take.

What measures are being taken to help the child settle in school considering parents are not allowed inside?

Once children return, they will go through KLAY’s intensive 2-week settling program to help them transition from home to school smoothly. If the child is an infant, we are making arrangements for the parent to feed the child in a room that is separate from the rest of the children to reduce exposure. Parents will be able to know more on this during the centre tour/ or via a conversation with our centre directors.

What will be the approach for deciding the eligibility for enrolling children (as per the age group) as they now have had a break for more than a year?

We will follow the State guidelines of age criteria while determining which class your child will go to. In case your child has had no formal learning intervention in the last year, we will recommend going through the missed class, considering their holistic development. Please talk to your CDs and request to speak to our curriculum experts to discuss this in detail.

Is it possible to take classes over the weekend so that the parent can accompany the child?

Having a fixed routine of classes through the week will help the child settle better. Having the parent over the weekend and again in the normal school environment through the week will confuse the child. We recommend the child going through our planned classes through the week so they can get used to the new environment better.

Can you share information about all available programs?

We currently have three learning formats available – in-centre, online and in-person at home and two care formats available – in-centre and in-person at home.

Kindly go through the detailed information on the respective pages on our website. We now also offer hybrid learning models which you can opt for along with the in-centre program.

Please let us know about the school fee for corporate employees?

Owing to COVID-19, most of our contracts are either active OR on hold, however our corporate SPOCs have been very responsive with regards to parents seeking admissions whenever we have reached out. Please do get in touch with us on IVR or respective Centre Director for us to determine this on a case to-case basis.

Our offices might ask us to work only 3 days a week and my centre is located in my office premises. How will this be handled?

We understand the concern, and offer a hybrid model where the child can take up at-home learning models on the days they are at home. Do contact your centre directors to understand the centre open nearest to you and we should be able to accommodate your child basis the availability.

If my daughter is in a corporate program and I’m working from home, can I send her to a nearby retail centre without additional charges?

Absolutely! We will just need to check if the corporate tie-up allows for the flexibility, else we are happy to speak to your company and facilitate the same. Please do get in touch with the respective centre director and/ KA manager for further details. In the interest of the child settling, we recommend you don’t change the centres from time-to-time once the child has been admitted.

The KLAY Toddler Program is based on experiential and social learning and helps your child learn in a fun filled space through different activities.

The activities are planned to promote growth in cognitive, literary, logical and social skills and help the toddler grow into an independent and confident individual while preparing for needs beyond pre-school.

The program helps your child by:

• Identifying the developmental and learning needs of your child aged 12 months to 20 months.

KLAY Kindergarten K-1 program focusses on the all round development of a child. The curriculum revolves around five pillars of development: Language & Literacy, Math & Logic, Physical, Social & Emotional Development, General Awareness & Creative Expression.

Literacy not only includes learning language and writing but also communicating. Math and Logic includes numbers as well as problem solving skills and cognitive development.

Policies

Related to Joining of the Child

After the completion of admission process, joining date will be given. For the first week Parents
need to accompany the child in the settling phase. Then the child will be shifted to the respective
classroom once he got settled.At the time of joining, after full clearance of dues, following particulars
will be issued by the Admission office.

• School bag will be issued within two days of joining of the child that he/she will carry along on daily basis. In case of any wear and tear of bag, Parents need to get another one issued from school reception.
• An apron will be issued that will be kept in school for child’s use.
• Children I-cards will be issued that you need to fill up with the particulars given and a passport size photograph of the child to be attached. This I- card need to be worn by the children on daily basis properly pinned at the back of the child.
• Guardian I-cards will be issued to the Parents for the pick and drop of child. Whosoever will come to pick or drop the child needs to carry that I-card along. Only than a child will be handed over to them.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided by school on an optional basis. After the joining of the child, he can avail the school Transport after a week of the settling phase of child. Transport will be provided within two days of depositing the Transport fee. For the kids availing school transport, dues need to be cleared well on time otherwise transport will be discontinued without fail.

Fee Procedure

Fee will be taken quarterly and not on monthly basis. It needs to be deposited at school reception by 7th of first month of every quarter. Failing this fine will be charged 100 Rs per week after 7th. We look forward for a healthy bond and association in all spheres. Fee can be paid by cheque or cash. Do collect the fee receipts after the payment. Do not send fee or any cash in hands of driver or maid. School will not be answerable for any carelessness or discrepancy occurring due to it.

Parenting

Parenting is one of the most interesting and rewarding experience of our life. So we need to spend considerable time preparing to bring our children into the world.

Parenting is the way you nurture your child. It’s the experience that can be
gained only while raising your own children. Parenting needs are different at
different times. The way you deal with your child when he/she was 2 years old,
you cannot deal your child the same way when he/she turns 6. It’s importnat
to understand the needs of children at the different levels of their growth
and need to be flexible enough to fulfill those needs.

KLAY Schools looks to hit milestones early with Salesforce

As a working parent with access to childcare in the United Kingdom, Priya Krishnan, CEO of KLAY Prep Schools and Day Care (KLAY) noticed that many female colleagues in India dropped out of the workforce in the absence of such options. The businessperson in her spotted an opportunity, but Krishnan says it was also a strong desire to enable women to follow their dreams that led to her founding KLAY.

Today, the company runs 160 childcare centres around the country which offer both education and care. Besides working with corporates to provide on-site childcare in about 70 locations, KLAY also operates centres close to workplaces and residential areas across seven cities in India. Currently, 15,000 students, 30,000 parents and 3000 teachers come under the KLAY umbrella.

While KLAY’s initial premise was to provide a credible, professional alternative to existing childcare options, the team soon found that families were turning to them for more. “It’s not just about providing childcare, but providing a support structure for families through counselling and answering milestone-related queries as well. We have morphed from being a childcare provider to a parenting partner in early child care,” says Krishnan.

Building foundations for larger dreams

Technology is core to KLAY in a number of ways.

“We are in a high-, fixed-cost industry where profitability is driven by utilisation,” points out Krishnan. “When we were smaller, we could use excel-based systems to measure business metrics, but as we scaled, we needed an automated solution that could scale with us.”

When they looked around for a solution that provided daily metrics, as well as predictive tools for situations such as backfilling to balance out student withdrawals, the KLAY team found that Salesforce offered much of what they needed.

KLAY uses Sales Cloud across their B2B and B2C customer segments for lead management. The entire lead flow from lead generation to enrolment, and the contact-to-contract process is now automated on the solution.

For their corporate customers, Sales Cloud captures the different variables that define KLAY’s corporate relationships, including enrolment processes, reimbursement policies and on-site centres, as part of the customer 360.

When it comes to parent-customers, leads generated from walk-ins, open houses, events, digital programmes and other customer touchpoints are captured and consolidated on Sales Cloud. Sales Cloud objects like tasks, calls and events are also used extensively to schedule and track parent visits.

This kind of automation of the lead management process has boosted conversion rates by 40-50 percent.

KLAY also uses Sales Cloud to manage the revenue process. “Invoicing, collecting and receipting are integrated with Salesforce and we use the platform to track cash flows,” says Vidya Venkat, Head – Information Systems at KLAY.

This streamlining of day-to-day processes has helped KLAY achieve a 30-40 percent rise in the efficiency of invoicing and collection.

Sales Cloud further functions as a student data repository, and has become the single source of all data relating to the enrolled children.

Learning and growing with technology

Klay is also using  Service Cloud to manage cases related to Salesforce, and “in the pipeline is the use of Service Cloud to manage omnichannel service delivery,” says Venkat.

Pardot is used for digital marketing campaigns, and to run customer journeys and experiences.

“Pardot has been quite interesting for us,” says Krishnan. “While we have always done a lot of marketing activities, earlier, we were unable to track their overall efficacy. This is something we are now able to fine tune and optimise.”

With all lead data consolidated on Salesforce, the team is able to target programs effectively, optimise campaign spends and focus on channels that yield more. “Our marketing engine is more data-driven,” says Venkat.

Krishnan is encouraged by the early results of KLAY’s Salesforce journey. “The very fact that we can now measure everything that we do is a good outcome for us,” she states.

KLAY is also successfully overcoming industry-specific adoption issues, such as low levels of tech-savvy amongst staff and the distributed nature of the business. Teachers have noticed that a system of record makes life easier and work more efficient. The fact that tasks such as fee invoicing and collection which earlier took 25 days now take a day to complete makes staff members open to every successive rollout.

Venkat notes that the flexibility and ease of use that Salesforce offers has helped drive internal adoption. “With the wide range of resources that Salesforce offers, system administrators are able to quickly roll out modules for on-the-spot requirements such as sending out a communication – what earlier took 3-4 days is all done in a couple of hours,” she says.  

Data is fuelling KLAY’s growth

The KLAY team is optimistic about the future. The company plans to go international with existing corporate clients in the APAC region. Also on the agenda is offering services and products adjacent to the current business, such as a non-centre-based model, or service lines for life situations other than early childcare. In all these ventures, Krishnan sees Salesforce playing a role in helping them better understand the consumer demographic.

As a step in the right direction, KLAY will soon launch an app that will capture micro-level information on each child, and insights from both parents and teachers. Integrated with the student data already available on Salesforce, this app will facilitate tailored learning experiences for students as well as deeper engagement with parents.  

Initiatives such as these could well make KLAY a tech innovator in early education.

“KLAY 1.0 was about the importance of data capture and the ability to make data-driven decisions,” says Venkat. “KLAY 2.0 will centre around a technology core that brings together different systems to nuance engagement and get closer to the customer.”

At Dual Ceramics, a mug or a vase can be molded or made on a potter’s wheel. And for those who have not yet decided which type of work with clay is closer to him, they will hold combined master classes, during which you can master both.

They work individually with each client: the masters are waiting for the student to come with their own ideas, and they will help with the implementation already on the spot. The lesson lasts 2.5-4 hours, depending on the complexity of the idea, painting is included in the cost of the master class. Finished products can be picked up 20 days after they are made.

Kvn-studio

Kvn-studio is also a family project: father and son work here who are not limited only to dishes, but also line fireplaces with handmade tiles, make unusual interior items to order and even build entire houses from pine and oak.

In the evenings, the workshop welcomes apprentices. In groups of six to seven people, those who wish learn how to sculpt from clay by hand, work on a potter’s wheel, create molds for tiles and paint finished products. All courses are designed for several lessons: the basic course for beginners is three lessons of two hours each, and those who want to get the maximum knowledge and skills are offered to sign up for ten lessons at once.

There are no ready-made templates for products at master classes: each student comes with his own idea and works exactly on its embodiment – at the same time, a vase, a teapot and an unusual interior figurine can be sculpted in the workshop.

Chamotte bakery

The Chamotte bakery workshop specializes in unique tableware for restaurants. Ordinary customers can only purchase ready-made mugs and plates from the permanent collections or sculpt them on their own at one of the workshops.

There are three permanent programs in the workshop: hand-molding of plates with inscriptions, hand-molding of any dishes for which there is enough imagination, and work at the potter’s wheel. Each master class consists of two or three lessons: first, the students sculpt the product, and then decorate it with glazes and engobes.

On weekends, the workshop operates as a co-working space: potters will be provided with all materials and tools for 400 R per hour, 1400 R for eight hours in a row or 3600 R for a subscription for ten hours. Additionally, you will need to pay only for firing: 100-150 R per product.

Dymov Ceramics- a large Suzdal factory for the production of clay products. In addition to stores, the company has its own schools: in Suzdal, pottery is taught right at the factory, and in Moscow they are invited to the studio at VDNKh.

There are many training programs at the Dymov Ceramics school: there are basic master classes where you can see the result in one lesson, and long courses that will help you feel confident in working with the material; classes where you can create anything that comes to mind, and thematic lessons, during which the whole group makes products according to one pattern – for example, a bag vase, a Japanese-style tea set, or interior figurines in the form of a pomegranate, a cat or a dragon.

For children, a clay modeling club is organized on an ongoing basis at the school. Classes cost 800 R, take place twice a week and last an hour.

Anna Ceramica does not produce its own dishes: this pottery workshop specializes in training and offers its own co-working for potters who have not yet established room.

Basic programs are designed for adults. You can choose hand-sculpting or working on a potter’s wheel and the duration of the course: a master class will take an hour and a half for one product, and if you want to sculpt a whole service, an in-depth course will do – 18 hours of work.

There are separate classes for children on Sundays. Kids from the age of four are helped to fashion a mug or an animal bowl. And for those who do not leave the house, but want to try their hand at ceramics, the studio offers kits for home modeling: finished products will be taken to the studio for firing and painting – a home oven is not suitable for these purposes.

For 350 R per hour, potters can rent a workplace, get access to a potter’s wheel and 1.5 kg of clay. You will have to pay separately for firing and glaze: 50-150 R per item.

Kolokol

Most of the programs are the same in all branches of Kolokol. Basically, these are thematic master classes, after which students take interior figurines or unusual dishes with them: an avocado-shaped dish, an acorn jar or a house candlestick with luminous windows.

There are two schools in Moscow – at Elektrozavodskaya and Dobryninskaya. Schools offer kits for home modeling: a video from the master class is attached to the box with all the materials. The school staff will take the finished product to the studio for firing in the kiln free of charge.

Special classes are held for children, on which souvenir toys are molded: bowls with animal muzzles, sets of dishes as if from Hogwarts or candy bowls in the shape of a unicorn. Clay toy and its history.

A toy is one of the brightest manifestations of mass culture, deeply vital and popular. From generation to generation, the traditions of crafts and the art of toys are passed on, ideas about life, work, and beauty are transmitted among the people. The toy is close to folklore, creates a sense of the peculiarities of Russian national folk art.

The oldest clay toys found by archaeologists in our country date back to the Bronze Age, to the 2nd millennium BC. These are small clay axes, dishes, rattles. Probably, these are cult objects. They found a clay toy in excavations of the 10th-17th centuries (Moscow, Ryazan) – whistles (horses, birds, figures of people). They are molded of clay, fired, sometimes decorated with painting and glaze.

It is known that the royal court under Alexei Mikhailovich bought toys in “Moscow at the auction”. Toy production in the 17th and 18th centuries reaches great heights. Wealthy families ordered expensive toys, they were also bought for the royal family. In the book of expenses of Empress Catherine I for 1721, it is indicated: “Purchased in Moscow at the auction of various toys for the Empress Tsarevna Natalya Petrovna and the Grand Duke and Princess – 3 cows, 2 horses, 2 deer, 4 rams, 2 pairs of swans, 2 roosters, one duck , with her three children, a city with soldiers. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the production of clay toys reached an unprecedented flourishing, the main buyers were ordinary people.

Toys were sculpted mainly by women and girls, starting from 7-8 years old. They did this in their free time from rural work – mostly in winter and spring before mowing.

Bright, cheerful, decided with the utmost clarity in plastic and color terms, naive (in the highest sense of the word) – a clay toy has a magical ability to decorate our life, bring warmth and joy to the decoration of a home.

A clay toy was found by archaeologists during excavations along with pottery. Of course, the manufacture of toys from clay was not the main industry, but a passing one. Toys made by masters were called “amusing”, that is, made for fun, for fun. Only later did clay toys become a commodity. They began to be made specifically for spring fairs, while away the long winter evenings making whistles, horns, horses, ladies, riders and other toy armies. Entire families began to deal with toys, passing on the secrets of making, harvesting and firing clay from generation to generation. Each master developed his own style, his own manner of modeling and designing products. Toys differ in the manner of modeling, in what kind of clay is taken for the product. Toys, whistles from greasy clay are best molded. This clay is used for Filimonovo toys. For the blue-black color, she was nicknamed blue. In general, toys are molded from the clay that is in the area.

Paganism did not go into oblivion, but indirect paganism was preserved in folk crafts, including in toys. The toy was a kind of model of the world, in which the basic ideas of the peasant about nature and man were laid. Children who helped their parents sculpt and paint toys adopted the value system from their ancestors.

Toy has always been an element of folk life. A house without toys was considered unspiritual. There is such a sign: when children play a lot and diligently, there will be profit in the family, if toys are carelessly handled, there will be trouble in the house. They believed that toys protect children’s sleep (until now, according to the ancient custom, children are put to bed with their favorite toy). Playing with dolls for girls was especially encouraged among the people, since the doll was also considered a symbol of procreation. They believed that toys bring a good harvest, especially if adult girls play with them. Toys create an atmosphere of kindness and love in the house, give skills for life and form the ability to communicate with people around the world. It is very important to make toys with your own hands, putting diligence and soul into them.

Every nation from time immemorial has its own toys, which reflected the social way of life, way of life, customs and technical and artistic achievements.

Dymkovo toy (smoke)

In the 12th century, the lands of present-day Karelia and the Arkhangelsk region belonged to Veliky Novgorod. In 1174, the Novgorodians reached the Vyatka River along the rivers and founded the city of Khlynov at the mouth of the Khlynovets River. Later, at the behest of Catherine the Great, it was renamed and became known as Vyatka. The Novgorodians who founded the city took care of their customs and rituals, continued to sculpt clay gods, celebrate the holiday of the sun god Yarilo, and honor the goddess of the house in childbirth.

In Vyatka, the feast of the Panther was celebrated. On this day, the inhabitants of the city commemorated their ancestors in the morning, and in the afternoon they walked through the streets and whistled into small whistles molded from clay and brightly colored. Dolls – whistlers were sold here, on the street.

There was another ancient custom in Vyatka. On Sunday, after mass, young girls, dressed in their best clothes, went to the pond to fetch water. Suitors lined up along the road. This custom was also reflected in the work of the Vyatka craftsmen, clay figurines of water carriers appeared: women in a wide skirt with a large check, in a small apron with lace frills, a yellow jacket with frills, a bright crimson cap and beads in several rows, on the shoulder – bright green rocker with orange buckets.

The Vyatichi honored the sun god Yarilo and depicted him as a two- or three-headed horse. On the chest of the horse was a circle with rays – a symbol of the sun. The goddess of the house, the Woman in Childbirth, was depicted as a strong and healthy woman. Next to the figurines of both gods, people depicted what they would like to have: figurines of pets or babies. Figurines of domestic animals were molded in a great variety: white horses, goats, rams, cows, pigs, painted with red, yellow, black, green stripes and circles. Gradually, the goddess in labor was transformed into the “Lady”.

Over time, the toy families settled in their settlement Dymkovo across the river. Hence the name “Dymkovo toy”.

The toy manufacturing technology was as follows. In the warm season, red clay and fine river sand were brought to the farmstead. Clay was soaked, sand was added and thoroughly mixed. When the work in the field and in the garden ended, closer to winter, the whole family began to sculpt toys. Interestingly, only women took part in this work. Perhaps that is why male figures were most often depicted humorously. For example, a young man in a green cap and a red shirt, with a balalaika in his hand, rides a yellow pig; another fellow sits astride a goat and plays the harmonica.

Then, depending on the size, the toy was dried from 2 to 14 days in the air, in the shade. The dried figurines were placed in the oven and fired for three hours. Experience and skill were very important here. If you take the figurine out of the oven ahead of time, it may crumble, and if you overexpose it, then the primer will not stick. After firing, the figurines were lowered into a bucket with chalk diluted in milk. As a result, the figurines were covered with an even white layer, on which paints fit well. Painted with bright colors, smeared with egg white for beauty and durability and pasted over with gold leaf, the toys sold well at fairs and markets.

The Dymkovo toy is characterized by a simple geometric ornament consisting of bright spots, circles, zigzags, stripes, ovals, rings. Characteristic for painting is a combination of large elements and small ones. Small elements adorn large ones – rings, circles, stripes – or crumble between them (dots, dashes, thin lines). Contrasting combinations of bright colors are often used – red, crimson, yellow, blue, green, applied on a white background.

A distinctive feature of the Dymkovo toy is generalization (individual elements of toys are far from the real image: for example, the antlers of the Dymkovo deer resemble a bush, the turkey beard looks like a bunch of grapes), decorativeness and sharp expressiveness. Almost pagan symbols of distant times are preserved in traditional animal figurines, in the clothes of dandies and fashionistas – the tastes of 19century.

The general principles of the art of the Dymkovo toy are interpreted by each craftswoman. It manifests itself in the choice of theme and plot, characterization of characters, in the features of plasticity, favorite color combinations.

Tver toy

The city of Torzhok, Tver region, is the birthplace of the Tver toy, or, as it is also called, Kalinin (after the former name of the region), Torzhok.

Galina Alexandrovna Klimovskaya revived the craft in the city of Torzhok, her works are in the museum of the city of Tver. On the basis of the toys found, modern toys were created – birds (swan geese, ducks preening their feathers, proud roosters and modest hens), animals (dogs, foxes), as well as female figurines, one of which was named “Novotorka”.

Toys are static, but sometimes the head is turned, different posture. Birds are proud, beautiful, decorative.

Birds are decorated with moldings and then painted.

The toy is molded from brown clay, which is the background of the painting. The white color stands out especially: dots-droplets – pearls, strokes of different sizes and shapes, which are superimposed in two or three layers. A large stroke is decorated with smaller strokes of a different color and a dot. The painting adorns the bird’s chest, tail, wings, a scallop, a tuft stand out.

Different combination of colors – blue, blue, yellow, orange, red, dark red, brown, green, a little black and the main color is white, pearls are white dots. In the decoration of the toy, one color should be repeated three times. The combination of dark and light colors is taken into account when drawing up the pattern: if the stripe is dark, then the decoration is light.

Filimonovo toy

This is a bright, cheerful whistle toy, which was made by women and children as fun in the village of Filimonovo, Tula region. According to local legends, the village was named after the potter Filimon, who discovered deposits of high-grade clay here. The characters of toys are diverse: they are elegant ladies and soldiers, horsemen, animals – deer, sheep, cows, horses, birds. Unlike other clay toys, Filimonovskaya has elongated proportions of figurines with a small head.

Toys are mostly large, but there are also very small ones. Mysterious ladies in long skirts, graceful, slender, stroll with an umbrella, with a child or with a whistle bird, dance with a gentleman. Generalized images: a wide skirt, a thin waist, narrow shoulders, rounded arms, a small cone-shaped head that merges with a mannered little hat. Earrings are carefully crafted. Plot compositions are often created: “A soldier feeds a chicken”, “Milkmaid with a cow”, “Bride and groom”, “Bear looks in the mirror”, etc.

The ears of whistling animals stand out, the ram has horns with round curls rolled up, the cow has large horns, bent upwards with a large moon, and the deer has a tree. This distinguishes one animal from another. Otherwise, the figures of horses, goats, dogs are the same: a torso intercepted at the waist, turning into a long neck with a small head – either these are animals, or people are mummers.

The clay is plastic, greasy, dries quickly and becomes covered with cracks, which are smoothed out with a wet hand, gradually stretching the torso of the figurine.

The painting is similar to cursive writing: fast jagged lines, strokes of different thicknesses and color intensities that keep the movement of the hand. The faces of the ladies and gentlemen are depicted with dots, strokes. The figurines are decorated with geometric elements: strokes, crosses, dots, spots, circles, triangles, as well as twigs, star rosettes. The details of the painting can be deciphered: a circle is the sun, a triangle is the earth, fir trees and sprouts are a symbol of vegetation and life. All these patterns remind us of the connections between man and nature.

Bright, sonorous painting, aniline paints. The pattern is written as if in jest. The white color of the clay after firing is used as a background. The solid color of the jacket of the lady, the soldier, the bird alternates with colored stripes. Animal horns are shaded with bright strokes. White is combined with crimson, green, yellow, less often with blue and purple. For strength and shine, the painted places are coated with protein. Toys are good and funny.

Kargopol toy

Previously, this toy was sculpted in the village of Grinev, and now in the city of Kargopol, Arkhangelsk region, there is an enterprise of folk art crafts “Belomorskie Uzory”.

Every potter made a toy for his children. The toy is expressive, interesting, peasant, conveys the folk life of the Russian North. It retained something of the ancient idols.

These are stocky peasant figurines of people, as well as figurines depicting animals and birds. Female figurines with a child in her arms, with a basket, a bird, busy with household chores. They wear wide skirts, sweaters with large buttons, various headdresses – kokoshniks or hats, and beads around their necks. This is a lady, a peasant woman, a nurse in an old dress.

Men with a bushy beard are depicted in long caftans decorated with large buttons, with a cap or cap on their heads. Everyone is depicted in action: busy with work (bast shoes weaving), walking with a basket, playing the harmonica, sitting in an armchair.

The depiction of animals is typical for a folk toy – a horse, a cow, a deer, a ram, a goat, a dog with a bone in its teeth, a hare with a carrot, a bear – the owner of the forest.

The most mysterious image is Polkan, a mighty hero with the body of a horse (centaur).

Scene compositions depict scenes from village life: gatherings, boat rides, dancing couples, a quadrille, a village festival, etc. legs in a male figure or with a skirt in a female one, then they stick hands, headdresses and various objects. The joints are smoothed out, and the figures become solid.

Kiln firing and whitewashing figurines are painted. The color scheme is muted, northern. The painting is characterized by soft colors – gray, pink, green, lilac-blue, turquoise, brown, yellow, orange, red, the gamma is restrained.

Geometric ornament consists of straight and oblique crosses, transverse stripes, strokes, concentrated ovals, spots, teeth, which are rhythmically applied to the surface of the toy. This is not just a pattern, but symbolic signs, ancient traces of the cult of the sun and earth. Figures – Kargopolki as if posing in silent importance.
