When choosing a preschool there is a lot to consider. Kindergarten readiness is taught at some preschools, while others are play-based and focus on socialization. There are different educational philosophies like Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Bank Street, and Waldorf. There are religious based schools, Headstart for those that meet income requirements, Cooperative preschools where parents volunteer part-time, Homeschooling, and programs like Families Learning Together at City College and Mesa College that are free, but parents must volunteer daily at the school and attend classes with their child.
It is a lot to consider, and finances often control our options when you look at the hefty price tag of early education. If you are considering a private preschool, here is an explanation of some basic school philosophies:
Waldorf- based on the teachings of Philosopher Rudolf Steiner, Waldorf aims to educate the whole child and instill a life-long love of learning. Science, Art, History, and English are infused in every subject. At the preschool level, Waldorf is play-based children learn through games, singing songs, creating art, storytime, and discovering nature. This is a time to be a kid and make friends.
Montessori-founded on the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori, this method “follows the child.” Children work independently on complex tasks. Teachers introduce materials and children can choose to do them again and again, and learn through the joy of self-discovery.
Reggio Emilia-This education philosophy is inspired by students and children take the lead. If they show an interest in a subject than a curriculum is designed around their interest. The belief is that students will be engaged since this is a subject they are interested in. Reggio Emilia started in Italy after the second world war when parents wanted to form a new kind of school where students were treated with respect and parents would be active participants in their children’s education.
Childtime uses the Reggio Emilia approach to education. Kelly Parry Director of Childtime in Chula Vista states, “Our program is designed to provide a customized learning experience for every child. My favorite part of our curriculum is the assessment based planning. This allows teachers to meet a child’s specific needs and track progress in their system to create not only age appropriate lesson planning, but individual lesson plans. No two lesson plans are the same because no two children are the same.” According to Parry, the formative years are crucial. She advises parents to make sure preschool teachers are accredited, that classrooms are clean, and that the school provides a safe learning environment for children.
Rachel Eden Preschool Director at Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School says, “A parent should be mindful of their own child when choosing a preschool. How much structure does my child need? How much socialization? When does my child feel most confident and when most insecure? A parent would be wise to trust their gut while also asking probing questions from the teachers themselves. For example, a parent may describe areas where their child excels would the teacher be able to challenge that child sufficiently to stimulate development? What about the child’s challenges? How does the teacher handle the classroom management situations? What kind of communication can be expected from teacher to parent?”
Ms. Eden also states that Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School mixes educational philosophies of Montessori and Reggio Emilia, “Our preschool philosophy focuses heavily on children as individuals. We have the benefit of offering an integrated classroom and environment where teachers have the flexibility to choose from the most beneficial aspects of Reggio, Montessori, or traditional, and play-based educational models. “
Preschool comes in many forms and models. I chose to send my child to City College’s Families Learning Together Preschool Experience Class. In this program, children have the opportunity to learn science, math, even cooking with other children, and parents actively volunteered. There was also a component of the class that included parenting lessons which I found to be most helpful. My son looks back fondly at those times, and I do too! I wouldn’t have traded that experience for anything. I have also met parents that formed their own home-based preschools with friends and neighbors and they found that experience to be intellectually stimulating for their kids. Headstart also offers a Kindergarten Readiness program that prepares children for that next big step in their education. Preschool is not mandatory, but it does allow children the opportunity to socialize with other children, learn in a structured environment, and transitions them from being home with a parent to away at school. This helps alleviate separation anxiety later on in Kindergarten. By sending your child to school early, you are setting up the building blocks for their education later on, and that is something that they will carry with them the rest of their lives.
Why Waldorf
Individual human development
Waldorf pedagogy has in its arsenal all the wishes of parents and even more. In such a school, everything is taken care of: what kind of teacher is, how he teaches children, how he treats my child. If the child is weak, then this is not a reason for enhanced tutoring, but the pedagogical task of the teacher and parent is to make him stronger. If a child is strong, initially motivated, then it is important to teach him in such a way that these qualities would be preserved both at school and after graduation. The Waldorf school is child-centered. The tasks of his individual development are the main thing in the work of the school. The way a child spends 11 school years will influence his entire subsequent life, for having entered school as a child, a person leaves it almost reaching adulthood. The teacher and the school carefully treat the biography of the child. Each child is an individual, each is a value.
Holistic human development
The Waldorf School is of interest to those parents who want a holistic development for their child. During the years of school in a person it is important to develop not only thinking, but also feelings and will. The curriculum of the Waldorf school includes all subjects: mathematics, native language, literature, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, foreign languages, computer science. However, some objects are aimed at the development of feelings and will. The more subtle I feel, the more difficult it is for me to hurt another, the more open to me in the world of beauty, images, emotional experiences. And this means that I have a rich inner world, another person is valuable and important to me, I am ready for contact, I am interested in the world. A smart but soulless figure is a serious problem of the modern generation. In the Waldorf school, a whole range of subjects is aimed at developing the sphere of feelings – music, painting, theater, eurythmy. All these subjects are taught from grades 1 to 11.
Will is as important for life as feelings and thinking. Will is the ability of a person to carry out his plans, to perform actions or consciously refuse them. In other words, will is action. If a child is not allowed to show initiative, is “punished” with a triple or a deuce, is constantly put in a situation of patterned behavior and certain algorithms in thinking and in actions, he loses motivation for action. His natural activity is little supported by the educational process. The Waldorf school in each lesson contains special elements aimed at developing and strengthening the will of the child. For example, at the beginning of each day, at the first, main lesson, a rhythmic part is held, where the educational material literally through movement enters not only the minds of children, but also into the body: the count is accompanied by stomping, clapping, jumping; letters can be written not only on paper, but with a hand or foot in the air; passing the ball in a circle, you can learn the multiplication table. There are also special subjects aimed at developing the will: needlework and crafts, building a house, and agriculture. In high school, foreign languages are classified as willpower, because they require constant rhythmic training, which strengthens the will.
Health and Motivation
Pupils at a Waldorf school get sick less than at a regular school and generally enjoy going to school. A child who does not like school is rare here. A smaller number of diseases (in our school there are very few children with glasses and almost no one with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract) is due to the fact that studying is a joy for a child. There is no stress: schooling takes place without grades, there is no practice of leaving children for the second year and comparing with other students, only with oneself. The portfolio of a Waldorf student is light – in elementary grades, textbooks are not used in teaching. Each lesson is structured in such a way that there is a change of activity and part of it is in motion. The academic week has a certain predetermined rhythm in which intellectual activity is daily diluted with strong-willed or sensual: lessons in basic subjects (mathematics, native language, history, geography, biology, physics, etc.) are replaced by physical education, music, gymnastics, painting, eurythmy , needlework. The number of non-intelligent items can reach 8-9hours per week (more than a third of study time).
Education for freedom or the goal of the Waldorf school
Setting itself the task of seeing the individuality in each child, the Waldorf school understands that these individuals are very different: from a gifted child, to a child with learning difficulties, from completely healthy to frequently ill, from active and open to passive and closed. But the approach of Waldorf pedagogy is valuable because it allows everyone to awaken in themselves what is necessary for him. The main thing is that as an adult, a person boldly takes on something new, feels interest and ability to solve life’s problems. One of the important qualities of Waldorf students, revealed in studies of learning abilities, is creativity, non-standard thinking; in studies of social interactions – tolerance, openness. Waldorf school teachers make sure that as adults, students acquire a steady desire for freedom, as the ability to consciously change their lives.
A freely self-determining creative personality, having health, abilities and strength for a conscious choice and self-realization, who perceives the world in a holistic and figurative way – this is the goal of the Waldorf school in working with each child.

When I was a kid, the longest part of Sunday morning wasn’t the drive to church, the Sunday school hour, or even the worship service. The longest part of Sunday morning was the time after the service when all the grown-ups stood around and talked. My stomach was rumbling, my shiny Mary Janes had begun to pinch my toes, and many of my friends had already left. And yet Mom and Dad kept talking. And talking. And talking.
Several feet shorter than the conversing groups of adults, I often felt invisible, amusing myself by twirling around my mom’s legs, down near the floor where nobody bothered to look. But every so often, one of those adults would stop talking to my mom or dad and would bend down on my level. The church member would look me in the eye, smile, and ask a question to me. All of a sudden, I’d forget my hunger and my shoes. I’d forget my boredom. This person thought I was important! This person wanted to know me!
Forming the Next Generation Starts Now
As churches everywhere shake their heads in frustration over declining commitment among younger generations, we need to remember that a person’s commitment to the church is often formed early—perhaps earlier than we think. And commitment to the church grows in small ways—a single grown-up who takes an interest in a young child can make all the difference in how that little one experiences the church.
Even a simple question or two, asked with a smile, can teach a child that he or she is welcomed and valued in the congregation. When we do this, we model Christ who invited children, affirmed their importance to the kingdom, and commanded his disciples to make it easy for little ones to meet him.
On Sunday morning after church, ask a young child one of these questions. You can begin with one of the questions designed to simply get to know him or her and move toward one of the questions that engages his or her faith. Whatever you ask, it will probably be the start of a great conversation, and it might even awaken love for the church in the next generation.
Even a simple question or two, asked with a smile, can teach a child that he or she is welcomed and valued in the congregation.

7 Questions to Ask Your Kids Instead of “Why?”
You walk into your child’s room. Toys are EVERYWHERE.
Your son forgot the book he needs for his homework…again.
Your daughter refuses to go to her school dance. After you bought the dress.
A very normal response to these infuriating situations is to ask: “Why?!?!”
“Why did you take out every single toy you own?”
“Why did you forget your book again?”
“Why don’t you want to go to the dance?”
It a natural reaction to want to drill our children for answers.
Unfortunately, the most common answer to “Why?” is…”I don’t know.”
This answer may sound snippy or disrespectful, which may lead you to feel even more frustrated. However, it may be the most accurate answer your child can provide.
Chances are, your child is not great at thinking through their actions. They may not be great at processing and expressing what they are thinking and feeling. And that is OK.
They are not developmentally ready to answer the elusive “Why?”
So, while they are developing, you can help them strengthen these skills by working with them to process their decisions.
Here are 7 Questions to Ask Your Kids Instead of “Why”
1. What happened first?
2. Then what happened?
3. When did things get off track?
4. How were you feeling when that happened?
5. Can you think of a way to solve this problem?
6. Can we look at this another way?
7. What needs to happen now?

Tips to Get to “Why” – By Age
Toddler/Preschoolers: At this age, it’s best to comment on what you see. “Wow! There are a lot of toys on the floor!” Then, you can talk about the next steps. “We’ve got to get these toys cleaned up. Should we clean up the Barbies or the blocks first?” For children who are developmentally able, you can brainstorm ideas for next time, “Can you think of a way we can keep from having to do all this cleaning next time?” Encourage any ideas they share.
Elementary: Children at this age are better able to think about what came first, next and last. “Ok, you were packing your backpack, then what happened?” Let them think. “Oh, Ben told you to ‘hurry up.’” If possible, identify what they may have been feeling or thinking at that time. “I wonder if you felt rushed.” Next, work together to brainstorm solutions. Resist the urge to fix the problem for the child. Write down their solution. Give it a try. Then, revise as necessary.
Teens: It may seem that your teen should be able to have it all figured out by now. Unfortunately, they are still developing the skills to think through their actions. And, to make matters worse, there are social pressures and social consequences that can influence their decision-making. It often leads teens to feel confused. Be patient with your teen. Encourage them to think through their thoughts and feelings without offering criticism or judgment. See what solutions they can offer before you give your opinion.
If your child (of any age) seems to be more sad, angry, anxious than usual; is isolating more than normal; or avoiding activities they once loved, it may be a sign of something more serious. Please seek help from a mental health professional.

Alternative questions for a child: how to teach to make a choice
Alternative questions are one of the most effective tools for raising a child. They help teach him to make feasible decisions and redirect him from resistance to reflection. With their help, we show the baby that his opinion is important and that he matters. In this article, we will talk more about the benefits of alternative questions and what to do if they do not work. We will also give examples in different situations of life with a child.
Why teach a child to make choices using alternative questions
By asking an alternative question, we distract the child from the objections “I won’t” and “I don’t want” to reflection. Instead of exhortations: “We need to go for a walk. Right now. Be a good girl, do it for mommy”, you can offer: “What do you want to wear? Red T-shirt or blue? And then the child will switch from protesting “I don’t want to go out” to thinking: “What T-shirt do I want to wear?”.
If we offer a child a choice (within reason), which suits him better, then most likely there will be no conflict. Children love when their opinion is taken into account.
If you know that there is some difficult situation for the child, you can think about what choice to give him. You can ask when cleaning: “Will you clean it yourself or will I help you?” Then the child will feel that he is not being forced, but advised.
It is important to remember:
It is better to start asking alternative questions at positive moments, when the child and the adult are calm, well-fed and slept well. And only after the child has made enough decisions in a positive atmosphere, can they be transferred to situations of protest and resistance.
Each of the proposed options must be acceptable to you. If you are not ready to cook an omelet, then you should not ask “Will you have porridge or an omelet?”
A child who has never been asked to make a choice before may habitually answer “no” to everything. In this case, we gently bring it to the decision and show that it is taken into account.
For example, while walking we say: “We are going home soon. Will you walk with me by the hand or by yourself? Let’s say the child says “No!”. Then we ask: “Will you still take a little walk and will I come to remind you a little later?” – “Yes”.
“A little later” can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, depending on the child’s age. When they pass, we remind you: “A little later. Time to go home. Are you going by the hand or by yourself?” Maybe the child will protest again, then we have no choice but to set boundaries and take the child home. Leave alternative questions for next time.
The ability to choose in early childhood teaches you to make decisions in adulthood. Therefore, it is important to give the little ones this experience. But you need to clearly understand what tasks they can solve. No need to offer to decide whether the three-year-old should go to his garden or not. And it is psychologically difficult for him to choose, and you cannot accept the option “I don’t want to!”. But simpler subject solutions are within the reach of kids.
The younger the child, the better he should be aware of what he chooses from. Adults can choose from some speculative things, but a child can imagine little. Therefore, initially, the questions should be inside the situation and be clear:
What are we buying – a car or a designer?
What will you eat – porridge or cottage cheese?
With babies, we always offer an alternative of two elements: “Which spoon are you going to eat now?” and show two spoons of different color, shape or size. “What panties do we wear?” and offer both options. The child may not yet speak, but he will be able to show that he reaches for what he chooses.
These simple choices in early childhood (with the help of alternative questions) are the basis for making much more serious decisions later in life. And if such a start is made, then at an older age we get a person who knows how to make cool decisions.

Will you butter the bread yourself or will I help you?
Will you peel the banana itself or will I help you?
Will you eat cutlet or pasta?
Do you want a transparent or white plate?
Will you eat with a spoon or a fork?
Will you arrange the plates for everyone or just for yourself?
Will you take a plate or a glass?
Will you call everyone to the table or will I?
Shall we bake a cake or cookies?
Will you pour milk into the dough yourself or should I pour it?
Sift the flour through a sieve or pour it from a glass?
Will you put the salt into the pan with your fingers or with a spoon?
Will you make round molds or flowers?
What kind of tea will we drink – green or red?
Alternative questions in everyday affairs:
Will you put flowers in a yellow or green vase?
Will you bring the cloth yourself or should I bring it?
Will you carry the package or will I?
Shall we buy this milk or this?
Will you take the groceries out of the bag yourself or will I?
Will you bring the laundry from the washing machine or should I bring it?
Will you put in the powder or will I?
Shall we hang the laundry together or you yourself?
Shall we dismantle the dishwasher now or after breakfast?
Shall we dust or sweep?
Wipe the dust with a cloth or a brush?
Shall we wash your shoes or mine?

If alternative questions don’t work

“I practice alternative questions and unfortunately it doesn’t work at all. The child simply does not hear questions that are not related to his problem, and rushes around the apartment until you catch up and start dressing.
— Will you go in a dress or a T-shirt? – No. At home!
— Will you assemble the toys by yourself or will I help you? — *ignores, rushes about, scatters the rest*
I can’t say that this is always the case — he can dress normally and clean up after himself, but if he doesn’t obey, then he doesn’t obey to the end.”

Thank you for clarifying questions. They vividly describe the difficulties that parents often face when they start using an alternative. When applying this method, it is important to pay attention to strategy and tactics.
It is strategically important to realize the depth of the difference between coercion: “do as I tell you”, “I want you to do what I want” and cooperation between you and the child. The use of the word “or” itself is not a magic button, by pressing which you trigger the obedience mechanism.
In fact, you yourself quite accurately described the reason why alternative questions may not work – “the child does not respond to questions that are not related to his problem.” And your child already quite consciously answers you: “at home”, that is, “I don’t want to go or get ready to go for a walk, neither in a dress, nor in a T-shirt.”
The idea is to offer a choice between two situations or actions that are significant for the child. It will be either a choice between something interesting for the child:
– Let’s go outside to eat ice cream or ride cars?
Either the choice between something inevitable:
— Will you dress yourself or will I dress you?
But in any of these cases, you go down to the child’s level, make eye contact, and only then state your proposal. In the case of choosing from the unpleasant, you also kindly, but firmly remind that you are definitely going for a walk. The question is not in this, but in technical details.
If you leave out this essence of cooperation from your proposals, the child ignores your words or becomes annoyed, because, not without reason, he senses your attempt to force him to do something again. If you did not stop the child and did not start a dialogue with him, but unilaterally declare options for collecting toys, then the answer may be a logical protest – scattering toys.
What you demand must be within your power. In the case of toys, for example, if the child is too small and there are too many toys, then he will not be able to assemble them on his own, he will need a lot of your help and guidance. The demand made to an overexcited child who cannot slow himself down can also be overwhelming.
From the point of view of tactics, you, as you can already guess from the above, carefully choose the options themselves, which will constitute the content of the alternative. These are two interesting activities for the child, if the choice is pleasant. Or two understandable and perceived conditions, if these are options to do the undesirable.
For an overexcited child, the most adequate alternative in general may be about his need, and not yours:
— I see that you are very overexcited. You can blow on my nose to calm down. Or I will spin you around and hug you. What will you choose?
If you have entered into a dialogue with a child, refusing both options is the beginning of further conversation:
— Do you want to wear neither a dress nor a T-shirt? I want you to take a walk. How can I help you? Pull up a trouser leg or take it on your knees?
This is a very thin line between confidence with natural demands and flexibility and dialogue with the child. You need to learn to look for it with a child – he is your truest teacher in this matter.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation creates the position of Chief technical officer or technical director of the country. They will look for a person there who will help build an IT infrastructure according to uniform architectural principles. The Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov told about it, reports the Internet.ua edition.
Officially, the position will be established under the Ministry of Digital Development, while the department determines the functional tasks of the future CTO. Deputy Minister Alexei Vyskub spoke about this in more detail:
<…> The role of the CTO is that it must actually be responsible and stand up for the protection of a certain unified IT infrastructure of the state (as far as the state IT sector is concerned). With the help of SRT, we must develop a unique architecture, approve it, and all projects that are initiated in the state, they will have to meet a single vision of a common architecture.
That is, he must control, for example, that the creation of a new registry is carried out according to certain principles. The CTO must perform the function of technical expertise for compliance with all projects of uniform rules and a single architecture, ensure the constancy and updating of this architecture, its development at the technical level. This is such a chief technical director of the country.
In addition to CTOs, the ministry also wants to create digital transformation directors (CTDOs). In the regions, this will be a position at the level of deputy head of the Regional State Administration, in ministries – a deputy minister, says Vyskub.
CDTO will be sectoral (in the ministry) or regional (in each regional state administration). In each ministry, the CDTO will be responsible for the digital transformation of a specific industry (health, education, etc.), while the task of the regional CDTO is to develop these changes within a certain territory.

Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard: High-profile revelations in court
Unsavory details of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship came to light during court hearings, including what the family therapist described as “mutual abuse. ”
58-year-old Depp filed a lawsuit against 36-year-old Heard because of the defamation, which he considered her essay in The Washington Post. In a 2018 article, she revealed that she was a victim of domestic violence. The actor filed a $50 million lawsuit back in 2019, but its consideration was delayed due to the pandemic until the jury settled on the date and place – April 11, Fairfax, Virginia. And the very next day, the parties began to make loud statements.
In November 2020, Depp lost a highly publicized libel case in London against British tabloid The Sun. The publication in one of the materials spoke of him as “beating his wife.” However, the court upheld the newspaper and recognized its definition as “almost truthful.” An appeal filed in March 2021 by Depp’s lawyers against this decision was rejected.

The current litigation in the US is a direct litigation involving both ex-spouses.
They met in 2011 on the set of The Rum Diary and got married in 2015. They broke up in May 2016, when Hurd filed for divorce, trying to ensure that Depp did not have physical access to her due to domestic violence. Johnny denied all these allegations, and they agreed to divorce, bypassing the court, in August 2016.
At the trial that opened in the United States, Depp repeatedly stated that his “goal is the truth.” Meetings are open to the public, broadcast on television and covered in the press. Prior to the trial, Amber released a statement in which she said she “hopefully when the case is over, I can move on, just like Johnny. I’ve always been fond of Johnny, and it pains me to have to reveal the details of our life together to the world.”

Heard accused Depp of sexual assault.
According to Aquaman’s attorney, Ben Rottenborn, the actor’s inexcusable behavior towards his ex-wife “had taken many forms,” including physical, emotional, verbal and psychological. “You will hear in the most graphic terms about the abuse she was subjected to. You will hear it directly from her when her word is given. It will happen,” the lawyer said. Depp’s rep denied the claims, calling them “fictitious.” “This is done to shock Hollywood, which Amber is great at, and also to exploit a serious social movement” (referring to #MeToo).

Much of the correspondence between Depp and Heard was read to the jury. One of the messages that the actor sent in October 2016 to longtime friend Isaac Baruch reads: “I hope the rotting corpse of this … is decomposing in the damn trunk of a Honda Civic!!” Under cross-examination, Depp stated that he was “ashamed of the language he used” in these messages. Other texts Depp heard in court also included one in which he was going to drown and burn his ex-wife.

Depp’s daughter refused to come to the wedding from with Hurd.
During a discussion about his and Amber’s wedding in February 2015 (which included “dinner, dancing, and psychoactive drugs,” as the invitations said), Depp revealed that his daughter flatly refused to come to the celebration. “She and Ms. Heard were not on good terms, for various reasons,” he stated. 22-year-old actress Lily-Rose Depp is the eldest of the actor’s two children from his relationship with Frenchwoman Vanessa Paradis. They also have a 20-year-old son, Jack.

The actor and his older sister Christy Dembrowski reported that their late mother, Betty Sue Palmer, tormented them as children. She was also cruel to her husband, the father of the children, John Sr., who is now 84 years old. “When Betty Sue, my mother, lashed out at my father – and of course it happened in front of the children, she didn’t care – he was amazingly resilient to it and while she said terrible things to him, hurt him, he just stood there and looked at her. Because Amber Heard, who I knew in the first year of our relationship, a year and a half, was not like that. She suddenly became completely different. It wasn’t my girlfriend, she became my opponent.”
Depp showed his crippled finger after a fight in Australia in court.
One of the controversial moments in this case is a fight between Depp and Heard, which happened in Australia when he was filming the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The actor claims that he almost lost the middle finger of his right hand when, during one of the quarrels, Abmer threw a bottle of vodka at him. As a result, the shattered glass cut off the tip of his finger. Hurd’s lawyers denied this interpretation of events. According to Depp, in the hospital where he went for medical help, he lied and said that he had injured his hand by pinching it with the door. Fruit and flavor playground (Liljölmen, Sweden)

Can Babies Start Teething at 3 Months? Signs and Tips
While most babies start teething when they’re about four to six months old, this doesn’t apply to every baby. Irritability — Teething babies tend to become fussier than usual. This is because as teeth erupt, they erode the gums and cause discomfort. The baby could express their discomfort by crying or whining. However, they should get used to this feeling quickly and become calmer. If the baby is too irritable, their pediatrician can also prescribe a pain reliever.
Swollen gums — Since erupting teeth erode babies’ gums before they completely emerge, it’s normal for their gums to be somewhat swollen in the days before teething. The baby’s gums could also have small bruises or some redness. Gently rubbing a cool, wet cloth over their gums or providing a teething ring made of firm rubber to chew on can help provide relief.

Irritability caused by teething can be stressful for new parents who are already battling postpartum symptoms or postpartum depression. Teething mittens
Many babies like to chew their hands while they’re teething. If a three-month-old can’t hold objects and put them in their mouth yet, a teething mitten could be the solution. The teething mitten fits over the baby’s hand, and they’ll be able to chew on it happily for hours on end, without having to hold the object itself.
Teething mittens are also great for sensory stimulation since they feature bright colors, varying textures, and a silicone surface that will soothe their symptoms.
Hand teether
Hand teethers are small objects that are shaped and designed specifically to soothe babies’ aching gums. As their name suggests, they are shaped like hands and filled with water or another liquid. They can be placed inside the fridge, and once cool, their temperature provides extra relief for swollen gums. Their “fingers” are perfect for babies to safely scratch every nook and cranny of their gums.
Teething pacifier
Teething pacifiers are very similar to regular pacifiers, with a few modifications especially for teething babies. They’re made of silicone, which is more resistant to babies’ bites than other materials. They also tend to feature different textures that soothe babies’ gums while stimulating their mouths.

When to expect the first tooth?
Care of the first teeth
Although baby teeth will still fall out, they must be thoroughly cleaned and, if necessary, treated. Edith Kuzmina, Head of the Department of Prevention of Dental Diseases at MSMSU, talks about the rules for caring for the first teeth.
Many parents are waiting for the first teeth, when the baby starts to drool and put his fingers in his mouth. This happens at the age of three or four months.
However, this behavior is a normal stage in the development of a child who has begun to get acquainted with his own hands, but has not yet learned to swallow saliva normally.
Experts say that the first tooth can appear at any time from the third to the 15th month of a baby’s life. For most children, teething begins at age 9.0018 four to seven months .
Teething symptoms
Increased salivation
Decreased appetite for solid foods
The child bites, puts all available objects into his mouth and tries to chew them
Baby tries to rub his ear
Baby is irritable and whiny
The child has a sleep disorder
These symptoms usually occur three to four days before the appearance of the tooth and disappear a day or two after it erupts. As a rule, after the appearance of one or two teeth, the baby’s body “takes a break”, and the teeth are not cut for several weeks or months.
Teeth and fever
Teething can cause fever. On the day when the tooth breaks through the gum, even a slight fever can be observed.
If the temperature rises above 38 degrees Celsius, lasts for several days and is accompanied by lethargy, runny nose, rash or diarrhea, and the baby constantly cries and holds on to the ears or head, you need to urgently see a doctor. Perhaps the teething coincided with the illness of the baby.
How to help a child?
Pediatricians say that most children’s teeth erupt relatively painlessly, and this condition does not require intervention. However, the baby and his teeth can be helped a little:
Buy rubber and silicone teethers . Some of them can be cooled in the refrigerator – cool material reduces discomfort.
Some children prefer to chew and suck on tissue . Give your baby a few pieces to chew on. Don’t forget to wash them daily.
Massage your baby’s gums with a clean finger or silicone toothbrush .
If your baby is crying all the time and can’t sleep, talk to your pediatrician and ask them for a pain reliever. Remember that such medicines intended for infants can only be given from six months.
The pediatrician can also recommend special gels that relieve pain and swelling in the baby’s mouth. Don’t overuse these remedies: Many parents confuse teething symptoms with other problems, such as viral infections, ear problems, or sleep disturbances.
Healthy habits from childhood
By the age of three, a child can learn simple self-care skills. Learn how to teach your child about personal hygiene.
Things to remember:
The first tooth can appear between three and 15 months of age.
Teething is relatively painless for most children.
The unpleasant symptoms of teething last only a few days.
A high temperature does not always mean that the baby is cutting a tooth, even if his saliva flows and his gums swell.
Pain relief gels and syrups must not be abused . Also, don’t forget that they must be appointed by the pediatrician!
Teething is not the biggest problem. Try not to dwell on it and be less nervous.

How to choose the right teether?

However, it is worth knowing that there are different teethers for different teething needs. When his gums are very swollen and sore, i.e. just before a tooth erupts, the best teether is a cooling teether filled with water or gel. For children over the age of one, the very first and most important communication skills are acquired in the sandbox school.
At this age limit, the child already has a great interest in other children, but at the same time there is a complete inability to communicate. One-year-old children play side by side, but not together with each other. This situation changes by the age of two, when the gameplay becomes an interaction, but this result still needs to be reached. Therefore, it is very important that the kids have a daily practice of communicating with their peers. And for this purpose, a sandbox is perfect.
There is a set of conductor words for the sandbox: mine, yours, someone else’s, change. Often, before the first hit in the sandbox (conditionally in the sandbox: in a company of peers, a play group, a kids club), a child is not faced with the fact that there is something that does not belong to him and that he cannot take. This is a very developing story: to understand that there is not only mine, but also someone else’s.
When they enter the society – the sandbox – certain types of children immediately stand out.
There are those who are conventionally “attackers”. In fact, they are not “attackers”, but simply active children who initiate communication, who are very interested in all the objects in the hands of other children, who easily pick up or pull a spatula, take sand, move children away from themselves, clear space for themselves.
There are those who, on the contrary, stand on the sidelines and do not enter the territory of communication. “Giving”.
It is very important, regardless of the social “profile” that appears in the sandbox, to continue to go to the group and overcome all these small difficulties and, thereby, hone the social and emotional intelligence of the child.
If the child is pushing, stay close. In no case do not allow a child to be left alone by doing something wrong in relation to another child. One of the “golden rules” of the sandbox, from my point of view: the parent is next to his child, insures against all accidents and avoids situations when another adult regulates his behavior.
These are the basics of interaction in these circumstances: – not to bring up other people’s children; – look after your child; – anticipate strong collisions.
It takes one and a half to two months to get acquainted with the key rules in the sandbox school (mine, yours, someone else’s, change), behind which is the principle of conflict-free exploration of space.
In general, this is a period of getting used to anything. It’s probably worth starting with the fact that until I was 35 I wasn’t going to give birth to children at all. My mother gave birth to me at the age of 36, when she stood steadily on her feet, gave me everything that one could dream of. She is my best friend. She is young, energetic and modern. That will give you a chance to get out while avoiding much of the hassle. Plus, you’ll be working around the cluster feedings that many newborns seem to want at night time. Taking your baby out to eat with you might be one of the few options available if you’re exclusively breastfeeding and not using any bottles, but are still really craving a chance to get out of the house.
Whether your baby is breastfeeding or bottle feeding, it’s important to settle into a regular routine (at least as regular as babies can be!) and start getting familiar with the demands of parenthood. You’ll want to be sure that your baby is willing to accept milk or formula from someone other than you before you leave them with a sitter.

Sometimes you might have the luxury of choosing when you want to start leaving your baby with someone else. Other times, the necessity of going back to work might mean that you have to start leaving your child with another person, even only a few weeks after you’ve given birth.
That’s particularly true in places like the United States, where maternity leave isn’t guaranteed. If you can’t afford to take extra time off, and you don’t have a partner who can stay home with your kids, then you’ll have to start using a babysitter, nanny, daycare, or some other type of childcare service.
Ultimately, choosing the right time to leave your baby with a babysitter will come down to your personal situation and beliefs. How to interview a potential babysitter
After you’ve covered the basics, such as asking for references and discussing schedules and availability, you’ll want to assess a sitter’s level of experience and training in safety procedures. Be sure to ask:
Do you know CPR? Do you know the first steps to take in case of infant choking or toddler choking?
What would you do in a fire or other emergency?

If you’ll be some distance away, make sure the sitter knows how to contact neighbors or family members who live close by if they need help. And if you’re friendly with your neighbors, give them a heads up that you have a new sitter at the house so they can potentially help out and look out for any sign of trouble.
Explain household rules. Clearly share the rules of your house, such as no smoking or drinking alcohol. If language is important to you, let them know you don’t want them to swear in front of your child. Mention any restrictions, such as limits on screen time or not watching particular shows or listening to certain types of music. Tell the sitter ahead of time what your baby can and can’t do, and what’s off-limits for older kids. You’ll also want to set any expectations ahead of time. Some of these are up to you: Is it okay to watch TV? How do you feel about them posting selfies with your children? Do you expect them to do the dishes after dinner?
Share your family routine. Let them know what schedule you want them to keep. Explain bedtime routines, and bath and mealtime procedures. If they’ll be cooking or heating food, show them around the kitchen. Also, if they’ll be giving your baby a bottle, make sure they know how to do it properly.
You’ve asked other parents for recommendations, called references, and finally hired a babysitter. But how do you know they’re doing a good job when you’re not around? Here are seven signs to look for:
Your child warms up to them. No one can replace you as a parent, but after several sessions together, you’ll want your child to be warming up to the sitter. If not, the babysitter might not be a good match for your child.

1 The non-refundable annual Registration Fee will be collected in the FACTS Tuition
Management platform during the annual registration process. The non-refundable annual
Material/Technology and Building Fee may be paid up front or paid in monthly installments
along with the monthly tuition payment.
2 The ECELP currently offers three tuition tiers based on age-level and class size:
Infant, Young Toddler, Toddler, Young Preschool and Preschool. The two additional
tiers have been established (Young Toddler and Young Preschool), which will better
align the instruction for the younger age-levels and provide appropriate adult-to-child
ratios considered model/best-practice in early childhood education.

Program (CCAP) provides financial assistance to low-income families while they are
working or attending school.
