Junior: I’ve been at Charter Arts for three years now. I’ve seen the school at it’s both best and worst. My favorite part of ChArts is that it’s a family…my family, that is. ChArts is a place where I can rap about cell and fill the stair wells with my Tchaikovsky music without a hint of judgment. I can be a pumpkin for Halloween or wear my ugly Christmas sweaters in June, and never be out of place. This is what I call a real family!… Read 201 reviews

Senior: Overall Lehigh Valley Academy is a great school if you are deciding to go to an international school or examine for IB credits. If you are looking for a regular high school diploma, this school is not for you. The curriculum is very intense and there are many requirements in order to obtain your IB credits. The school is small compared to local high schools but there is still school spirit and fun activities that student council creates. The biggest asset to the sports at LVA is their Step Team, they have had the opportunity to win first place at the State competition and go to nationals! There is dress code at the school. There is a lot of pressure on the juniors and seniors due to the Diploma Programme, they also offer a Career Programme for students who are more interested in engineering or biomedical. The CP program is definitely easier than the DP program but they both offer great opportunities…. Read 141 reviews

Parent: My daughter has been in EEACS since she was in kindergarten and she is now in the 4th grade. She excels in every way at EEACS. The culture, the education experience are all superior to any public school I’ve experienced. We enrolled my high school bonus daughter who was in honors at another local public school. EEACS was so far ahead that we had to get her a tutor to help her catch up.
The culture is most impressive, the teachers and leaders are fully invested in the education abs success of each child.
It is a beautiful and safe facility, all staff is kind and gracious. They treat everyone with respect.
Communication is top notch! I have cell phone numbers for both our kids team leaders. I feel comfortable reaching out any time I need to…. Read 17 reviews

Alum: TARA is a school like no other. As a high schooler who went to three other schools ranging from public to private, TARA far outshines the opportunities, support, and classes that I took and experienced elsewhere. I came to TARA during my senior year with the support and tenacity of the leadership council and my classmates! They truly are miracle workers and wholeheartedly care for the school, the students, and meaningful experiential education. I would have never been able to travel and experience the trips and productions we went on and were a part of (in Covid times) had I been anywhere else. The classes are small, lovely, experiential, and taught by passionate teachers. The trips are, life-changing, perspective-altering, academic, confidence cultivating, and provide time to connect with your peers and learn more about yourself. As a host student, my time at TARA was significantly different than my non-host peers, but the experience taught me so much that I will take into life…. Read 28 reviews

Parent: Our son has truly grown leaps and bounds since he started here. The COS staff is more like a little family away from home. Although we appreciate the efforts in traditional public schools, we also knew we needed a little something different for our children. We’re loving the emphasis on art, nature and kindness that’s incorporated in their everyday activities. I can’t say enough good things. We’re excited to see how the next few years continue & we’re happy to say our youngest will attend in a couple years as well!… Read 4 reviews

Parent: My children have truly found a home at AACMS. It is a place where students are free to be, and discover, themselves. The quality of the instruction and performances are superior. The teachers understand the (often right-brain dominant) artistic mind, because they are artists too! The students allow and encourage their classmates to express themselves honestly. Students encourage and support one another in their artistic endeavors. The school is held back only by the limitations of its space and a small number of students who don’t truly love their chosen art (e.g. a child who does not actually love to draw will not be a positive presence in a two and half hour art class). When they go on to high school, I’m sure my children will hold fond memories of AACMS and return as alumni for performances and just to visit with their teachers…. Read 6 reviews

Senior: I have been a student at RCCS for 6 years and I’ve witnessed many changes over that course of time. I can say for a fact that the students at the school are very inclusive and goal-oriented. At other schools, it’s easier for a kid to fall into the wrong crowd but here, there really is no bad crowd. The hallways are friendly aside from the annoying lower class levels, but that’s at any school. The school needs work with organization and more access to opportunities since there really aren’t a lot for gifted kids. Average as well as below average students will have an easy time learning here and obtaining good grades due to the attentive staff. Other schools just don’t have that kind of care for their students, so if your kid somehow fails here, it’s honestly because they don’t try. In all, this school has an amazing coaching staff for the basketball team and various after school activities as well. Once this pandemic subsides, I believe this school has potential to gain a 5 star rep…. Read 59 reviews

Middle School Student: I’ve attended Ave Maria since Kindergarten and am about to graduate this May. Since the first day I came, everyone has been so kind and caring. Ave Maria has been like a second home to me. Our teachers really take time to know each and every one of us. When there is something we don’t understand they will always be right there to help us. They push us to challenge ourselves and strive to do our very best. The bonds and friendships I’ve made will last forever. Everyone in my class looks out for one another. Our school motto is “Work Hard, Pray Hard, Play Hard and Take Care of One Another” We truly believe this! I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to attend a school with such a great community, good morals, high education and amazing teachers. As a first time mom and using daycare I didn’t know what to except. They have exceeded my expectations, exspecially with the ease of the brightwheel app, I feel like I’m part of my child’s day even though I’m not with her. The teachers answer any question I have and had helped solve some skin sensitives with my child.

Childtime is by far the best daycare/ pre head start my daughter has been to. I love how the love and care for all of the kids. Curriculum is out of sight. My 2 year old has weekly homework activities, she loves the homework. Childtime actually teaches the kids instead of just babysitting!

Some kids love talking about school. With others, it’s like pulling teeth to get them to share even a few details about their day — especially if something’s upsetting them, like bullying or struggling in school.
If your child is on the quieter side or is very private, there are ways to ask questions that will open up a conversation instead of shutting one down. Here are some key things to keep in mind.
1. Ask open-ended questions. If you ask a question that can be answered with one word — yes or no — that’s what you’ll get. A one-word answer. Try asking open-ended questions instead.
Example: “What was the best thing you did at school today?”
2. Start with a factual observation. Kids often have a hard time answering questions that seem to come out of the blue. Making an observation gives your child something to relate to.
Example: “I know you have a lot more kids in your class this year. What’s that like?”
3. Share something about yourself. When someone tells you about themselves, it’s natural to want to do that in return. Share something with your child and see what you get back.
Example: “We always played dodgeball at recess. What do you and your friends like to do?”
4. Avoid negative questions. If you think something isn’t going well, your questions may come out in a negative way, with emotion-packed words like sad or mean. Asking in a positive way lets your child express concerns.
Example: “I heard that you sat with new people at lunch today. What did you talk about?”
Here are other examples of how to say things differently to get your child to open up.
Afterschool conversation starters
Instead of this
Try this
Was school fun today?
What was the best thing you did at school?
How was lunch?
Which kids were sitting near you at lunch?
Was your teacher nice?
What was the most interesting thing your teacher said today?
Did you get your locker today?
How was it getting to your locker between classes?
Were the kids in your class friendly?
Who did you like talking to the most?
Did you get your schedule?
You got your schedule today, right? Which days look busiest?
Do you have friends in your classes?
Who are the kids you talk to most in your classes?
Did your presentation go well?
What part of the presentation do you think was best?
Phrasing your questions this way invites your child to talk. But don’t expect for every question to result in a long, detailed answer. The goal is to have many small conversations over time. It helps to find natural moments to talk — like at dinner or riding in the car — when you’re not in a rush.
Sometimes kids, like adults, just don’t feel like talking. It’s important to know when to stop asking questions and leave it for another time. But if there’s something urgent or serious going on, you’ll have to ask direct, specific questions and push for an answer.
Looking for more conversation starters and responses to use with your child? Find out what to say when your child:
Gets frustrated
Doesn’t want to go to school
Says “I’m dumb”
Gets a report card
Is distracted or unfocused
You may also want to read why one mom stopped saying “have a good day” to her son.
Key takeaways
Sharing something about yourself can get your child to open up.
Positive questions (“What’s your favorite class?”) let your child express concerns.
Find natural moments to talk — like at dinner or riding in the car — when you’re not in a rush.

Questions to ask a child every day

Often in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in the rush of business, we forget to talk heart to heart with our baby. This leads to the fact that the relationship becomes formal, and emotionally, the gap between children and parents grows. How can this be avoided?
Often in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in the rush of business, we forget to talk heart to heart with our baby. This leads to the fact that the relationship becomes formal, and emotionally, the gap between children and parents grows. How can this be avoided? nine0003
Scientists have found that we spend an average of 12.5 minutes a day with our children. Of this time, 8.5 minutes are spent on reproaches, prohibitions, etc. There are only 4 minutes left for friendly communication!
Writer Jamie Harrington found a way out of this situation by formulating 4 questions to ask your child every day
» Ask your child open-ended questions. These are the kind of questions your child can’t just answer yes or no. Open-ended questions encourage children to describe their feelings and evaluate their actions and the actions of others, and parents can get to know their child better and learn to understand him.0013
Jamie Harrington psychologist, writer.
So, questions to ask your baby every day:
How was your day?
If at first your baby will wave away and say “okay”, “it’s okay”, etc. you should not once swoop in with an interrogation and, as they say, “pull out a story with pincers.” You can say “Well, okay, if you want, then you can say. And here is what I did today. And today in a day, imagine, this and this happened. And believe me, even the most shy, secretive child will begin to share with you what is on his mind. nine0003
2. How are your friends?
You can ask about one particular friend you know or about all friends in general. For example: “Which of your friends do you think I like the most? Why? Tell me about your best friend. What qualities should a good friend have? What is the nicest thing your friend has done for you? Which of your friends are you most proud of? Why? Have you described me to your friends? If you knew that your friend had stolen something, what would you do? As you understand, these questions are for different cases. nine0003
3. What good thing happened to you during the day?
Even on a day when the weather is bad outside or on a day when a math test was difficult, it is difficult to remember something pleasant that happened to you during the day. And if you don’t remember, then cheer yourself up on your own. For example, unplanned going to the cinema, playing some board games at home, etc. Such fantasies will lead both you and the child out of heavy thoughts into a wave of positive emotions.
4. Do you need my help?
We all know how difficult it is sometimes to ask someone for help. A child who is not used to receiving help in small things is unlikely to turn to you for help in a difficult situation. So start small — offer to help clean the room, help with homework, etc. Do not be afraid to spoil your son or daughter, because the more you help with little things, the more likely it is that in the event of a serious conflict, the child will come to you for advice. However, this does not mean that you need to start doing everything instead of the child. nine0003
Advice:
When listening to your child’s story, don’t interrupt or judge, only comment when asked. Don’t ignore body contact, hug your baby, or take your hand. If you are in a bad mood right now or you don’t have time, tell your child honestly about it and agree when you can talk later.

5 questions to ask your child every day
1 “Are you happy?”
“Are you happy?” – for some reason mothers are afraid to ask this simple question to their children. Why is he so important?
Children are usually told that the most important thing is to study, behave well and obey their mother. But growing up, such a person cannot figure out what he wants, who he really is . Indeed, in childhood, he did not learn a simple thing – to identify his feelings.
So start asking this question every day. And you will be surprised how accurately at some point the child will begin to respond to it, each time defining in a new way when he is in a state of happiness and when he is not. And over the years, growing up, he will not allow himself to become unhappy – to go to an unloved job or to do a business that will not make him happy. nine0003
2 “Are you all right?”
You see that your child is thinking about something or looks sad. Then just go up and ask him: “Are you all right?”. What for? This will allow the baby to realize what is happening to him , and create a strong trusting bond between you. After all, nothing brings parents and children closer than support and confidence that all family members take care of each other. And even if he answers you simply “Everything is in order”, in his heart he will know that he is not alone, but his mother is always there. nine0003
5 parental phrases that will break a child’s life
3 “What was the best day today?”
This question is best asked in the evening and is especially great if it is included in the ritual before going to bed. It is very important not only to demand an account from the child of what he had at school, but to tell about himself first, to share news about the successful completion of the project, meeting with a friend, or even the impression of the dessert he ate. So you show an example of how to answer this question. Over time baby will begin to participate in this dialogue and share the joys of his day.
4
“What was the worst day today?”
This question is no less important. Indeed, often parents do not even know about what problems occur in the life of a child. And to the question: “How was your day?” hear the answer: “Normal.” But a trusting relationship will never arise if the parent himself does not speak honestly about his worries. Try to share something important with your child, and believe me, he will love you back.

“What would you change, if you could, about today?”
Asking this question to a child, you teach him to think, analyze and help him to believe in his abilities. You give the child faith that everything can be changed for the better, no matter how bad the past day turned out to be.

At Auntie Penny’s you receive 25 years of daycare experience run by a mother of 5 (all grown). I am licensed in the State of Michigan (DG820080196) meaning I am trained in CPR, First Aid and Blood BornePathogens and my home has passed inspection.
I believe a child can have a great day of fun and still be learning. Our home is always decorated for the season. Young children learn visually. Seeing new things promotes questions and new vocabulary. They learn the cycle of life with the seasons. We do daily projects or manipulatives (such as puzzles or building blocks) and have outdoor play. When it’s very cold or raining we play in my 3 car garage, safe from the weather.
Happy tummies make happy children. I belong to the Association for Child Development and provide home-cooked, balanced meals including breakfast, lunch and p.m. snack. I also share recipes with my parents and let them know when their children enjoyed a new food. This summer fresh gazpacho soup-made from garden veggies, was a big hit! They pushed aside their lunch and ate their soup first, asking for more.
We had an “Apple Tasting Party” and put a star on each apple we liked….they liked them all, red delicious, golden delicious, granny smith and gala.
I want your child to feel loved and happy so when you see them after 5 p.m. you’ll have an enjoyable evening. Don’t be surprised when they ask to go to Aunt Penny’s on the weekend! My daycare parents can put their mind on their jobs because they know their children are very well cared for by my assistant Laura and myself.
We currently have both infant and toddler openings. We use the first and second floors of my 3,000 sq. ft. home. We are NOT in a basement. References are available. Please feel free to call me at my home (734) 340-1080 as I prefer voice communication to text. If you are interested in placing your child with us please call for an evening interview (1 hour of your time) for me to show you my home and review Auntie Penny’s Daycare Inc. policies with you. After the interview you may visit the daycare, with an appointment, to meet the children and see us at our best. We ask that you give us permission to fall in love with your child and them with us. That’s really the only way we can do our best. You become a member of our “Special Daycare Family” and we become honorary “Aunties” to your children. ..until it’s time for them to on to school. We hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting new members to add to our family….

Summer Camp 2022 Information
The Beginners Inn Childcare & Learning Center is a state licensed, family operated facility. Our center has been providing the community with high quality preschool and childcare programs since 1977. In a home like atmosphere your child will feel the warmth and become part of our family. With so many years of experience our parents have peace of mind while their children are enjoying a fun filled learning experience in our year round facility.
We offer care to children starting as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old. We provide care for children on no school days and breaks throughout the school year. During the summer months, programs for our younger children and summer day camp for our children who have completed kindergarten through 12 years old are also available. Our school age programs and summer day camp give parents the luxury of beginning and ending their day with one stop.
We believe that each child is a unique individual; our center strives to encourage each child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, creative, and social needs by providing a variety of experiences throughout each day. Our program is semi- structured, offering both the opportunity to work independently, participate in constructive group activities and learn through play.
Our Mission & Our Vision
At Beginners Inn Child Care & Learning Center we strive to develop programs that give children:
The opportunity to develop self-esteem that comes with accomplishment
The imagination that comes with experimentation
The motor control that comes with practice.
We recognize that children grow and develop at different rates and that each child’s developmental rate is separate and distinct from any other child.
Our Vision is Clear
To dedicate ourselves to excellence.
To provide the community with the highest quality childcare program in a clean, safe and homey environment geared toward each child’s individual needs and interests.
To establish a nurturing staff that values and respects the children, their families, different cultures, social backgrounds, and religious beliefs.
Our center strives to encourage each child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, creative and social needs by providing a variety of experiences throughout each day.
Our Basic Goals as Educators:
We believe that each child is a unique individual.
Children need to learn what is expected from them by providing a classroom with organization, rules, and structure.
Giving children responsibilities and setting boundaries throughout each day allows them to explore and develop self-discipline.
Providing children with developmentally age appropriate materials will encourage them to build self-esteem.
Showing children respect, trust and affection daily teaches them to be sensitive towards others in the classroom as well as at home.
Self-satisfaction can be established by providing new materials and objectives that are age appropriate allowing each child to grow individually.
Asking open-ended questions and providing options for children allows them to express themselves, as well as to develop intellectual and social skills.
Providing children with love and guidance allows them to build trusting relations with others.
When children are surrounded in a loving, caring, safe and culturally sensitive atmosphere they will grow at their own pace with experience to develop into their own unique individual.
In Switzerland, preterm infants are considered viable at at least 24-25 weeks’ gestation. The bilingual canton of Valais is the best place in Switzerland for families with children. Keystone/Anthony Anex
“Dear Switzerland” on closer inspection is not as uniform as it seems. Are there regions in the country where low taxes are combined with affordable housing and the best childcare opportunities? They are!

Russian edition of SWI Swissinfo, Swiss news agency Keystone-SDA / IP
Expats, foreign professionals who have come to Switzerland for a few years of work, love the high salaries and picturesque landscapes of Switzerland, but they often complain about the exorbitant cost of living in this country. However, not all regions of the country are equally expensive for life. Bank Credit Suisse regularly ranks the regions (cantons) of Switzerland depending on the real cost of living.
So are there regions in the country where low taxes are combined with affordable housing and the best childcare opportunities? According to Credit Suisse, the bilingual canton of Valais is the best place for families with children to live, while several cantons in central and eastern Switzerland are the cheapest for all major population groups, i.e. families with children and those without children. couples and singles.
Credit Suisse ranked the small canton of Appenzell Inner (eastern Switzerland) as well as the central Swiss rural cantons of Uri and Glarus in first place in the overall ranking of cantons in terms of their availability in terms of accommodation. But most of the benefits of living in a low-tax canton like the canton of Zug are eaten up by the high cost of living. This is understandable: in a canton with a massive presence of foreign companies, living expenses are involuntarily pulled up to the level of income of global top managers.

Large cities such as Zurich, Geneva and Basel have, along with the canton of Vaud, where food giant Nestlé is headquartered, “below average residential appeal.” “If, when assessing the income remaining after paying all taxes and fees, we take into account family benefits, the real costs of childcare and the tax parameters for specific families, then it becomes clear that, in general, the canton of Valais offers the most favorable living conditions for couples with children” , says Credit Suisse.

“In terms of financial attractiveness for families without children, Geneva ranks last. But for families with children, it is worst of all to live not in Geneva (it is only the second from the end of the rating), but in the canton of Basel-city.” Credit Suisse’s fifth report on the financial attractiveness of living in Switzerland ( Financial Residential AttractivenessExternal link ) consolidates the results of measuring the real disposable incomes of 120,000 households surveyed throughout the country by random sampling.

Our daughter who just turned one this past summer seems to really love it at Tutor Time! The app that the school uses is great. We love getting photos throughout the day, knowing how much of each meal she’s eaten, and what activities they are doing. All of the teachers are great, as well as the rest of the staff. The facility is also very secure and clean! I can see us staying here for a while, and
…
would absolutely recommend Tutor Time to any friend or family member.

I love that my son is learning new things every day. The teachers and staff are very friendly and answer any questions that I have.

Very pleasant and everyone is extremely helpful. Anne is always kind when I pick up my child and has even been nice enough to develop a leaving routine with him. Ms. Jojo is always happy to see my child in the morning and ask how he is doing. If he doesn’t want to go, she is right there to help with the transition to get him to interact with other kids and stay.
Verified Shopper
The best recommendation for the school comes from how happy my children are when they get ready in the morning, dropping them off and when I pick them up. They greet every teacher they see with a cheerful hello and don’t want to be picked up early. That says it all.

I love the teachers and the atmosphere

So far this school has been fabulous for our infant daughter. She is excited to see her teachers every morning and seems happy. They communicate what she’s doing every day and really care about her well being.
Verified Shopper
The infant teachers at this facility are incredible. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and sincere care for the children is unmatched. My only feeling when dropping off my child is gratefulness. We are truly blessed to have found a facility with teachers of the tenure and caliber.

Every staff member is always caring and it shows that they care about every child. My oldest who is 4 couldn’t recognize his letters until his teacher in Junior K worked with him and now he points out letters everywhere. My 2 keeps talking more and more as it becomes more clear on what he is saying. We love Tutor Time!

The editors of Vyksa.RF received a letter – a real cry from the heart. Irina, a mother of six children, one of whom has a childhood disability, asks the city administration to pay attention to the food system for children in educational institutions.
When we send a child to a kindergarten, we completely trust those people who are next to them: they look after them, teach them, cook food. Ideally, children before school should be in the family, you can also socialize in the sandbox near the house next to your mother or grandmother; then the problems of what a child can eat and what not, disappear by themselves. However, in our time, both parents and grandparents have to work. There is no such opportunity in the kindergarten, and your child has to eat what they give or not eat at all. Now there is a lot of talk about the fact that 90% of school graduates have gastrointestinal diseases, and the prerequisites for this begin in kindergarten.
Let’s take a look at our children’s clinic. There is a queue to the allergist, to the gastroenterologist an appointment for a week ahead, or even more, children from 0 to infinity. What do these doctors have in common, you ask? And the fact that they prescribe a diet. Simply put, this is impossible, this is impossible, this is impossible, but this is possible. As long as the child is at home, there are no problems with diet. But as soon as your children come to kindergarten, school. No one argues that due to the fact that almost all children are artificially fed from birth, many have problems, some with skin, some with intestines.
But the leadership of our educational institutions does not want to change anything. “You have problems? Stay at home.” “Do you want to achieve something? You won’t be able to do anything.” You can’t take jars of homemade food into the garden, the sanitary and epidemiological station doesn’t allow you to ask the cooks to boil a glass of cereal for your child in water? They don’t get paid for it. The head of the kindergarten will, of course, sympathize with you, but she won’t lift a finger to alleviate your plight.
They may be right. After all, we have such time, everything is measured in money. Although we have a kindergarten, where food (according to the doctors themselves) is all right. I don’t know what it is called correctly, they say for children with tuberculosis or something close to it. Only, they say, there are no such children there. In no case do I envy either the children or the parents of these children, but since they managed to establish a similar nutrition system there, why not be able to in other kindergartens, for example, in the new kindergarten No. 20 “Delfinchik”?

Complaint about kindergarten. Causes and consequences
23.03.2021
The child and kindergarten is a complex topic. You just need to listen to the conversations on the playground to understand this. And the most diverse problems are raised – from “which kindergarten is better to go to” to conflicts between parents and educators and the head. Moreover, the last topic causes a huge number of responses from both sides: educators refer to the law and SanPiN, parents threaten to complain. We asked a lawyer to comment on the last topic – a complaint about a kindergarten. He told in what situations parents can complain and what it can threaten in practice.
Main reasons for complaints about kindergarten
Let’s be honest: parents can complain about anything, especially those of them who are sure that the teacher owes them and the children a lot of things. Another thing is that justified complaints about any violation of the rights of the child will be taken seriously. These include:
Poor condition of the territory of the kindergarten – non-compliance of play structures with SanPiN standards, poor condition of the road surface, weed or poisonous grass on the territory.
Questionable methods of raising and caring for children, systematic violation of the regime. For example, the teacher’s cry, a lot of cartoons, or even staff who come to work with snot or a temperature.
Personnel negligence is the unintentional infliction of harm.
Bad nutrition. Now the rules have changed, but not much.
Dissatisfaction with the medical staff of the institution: medical care is not provided or is not provided correctly, there are no preventive measures.
Practice shows that often the heads of kindergartens and educators do not even assume that failure to perform or improper performance of their official duties can harm their pupils. At this point, this may be a desire to save money for the organization or simply a lack of funding. And sometimes this is due to the personal qualities of the employee. One way or another, this is not an excuse, but an occasion to think.
What happens now if the teacher is sick, but goes to work?
Where can you file a complaint about kindergarten
I remind you that only the legal representative of the child – a parent or guardian – can file a complaint. As it usually happens:
1. He can file a complaint with the head in any form – oral and written. Most often, everything is resolved at this stage and peacefully: the leaders of the institution do not want scandals and can conclude agreements with parents or eliminate the problem.
This can threaten the educator with a remark, reprimand or dismissal – it all depends on the seriousness of the problem raised. But not a penalty. Teachers cannot be penalized by law.
2. The next step may be a complaint to the local department of education. And this is more serious – it can threaten at least a check of the educational institution. It is more profitable for the education department (as well as the head of the kindergarten) to quickly resolve the issue and fix the problem.
3. The leadership of the preschool institution, and at the same time the inaction of the education department, can be complained to the district, city or regional administration. And also to Rosobrnadzor and the Ministry of Education, which are designed to help solve the situation of parents with an educational institution. At this stage, the administration, Rosobrnadzor or the Ministry must conduct a mandatory check of the complaint and the educational institution with a report on the work done.

This section is dedicated to the news of ZARIBRAGOY (until the prospects of Zarobrazhno, but in the prospects of the prospects, but in the prospects of the United States, but in the premises of the United States, but in the prospects of the nation
Here you can find reviews of recently published novelties, reviews of the most interesting magazine and online publications, immediate and long-term plans of Western publishers (both major and small presses). Occasionally – covers, publisher’s press releases, and, perhaps, translated reviews of the most key, sensational and expected new items.
in the section “Reviews for science fiction books”
in the author’s column in the author Saneshka
The degradation of my reading continues: at first I abandoned paper books in favor of electronic ones, and now I have completely fallen to audio books. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere below. (Although I really look forward to when books can be loaded directly into Moscow!) On the other hand, getting to work by bike, you don’t really read the text, and in those rare cases when you still have to use the metro, you even somehow it’s stupid to interrupt listening for the sake of 15 minutes of scrolling through the text on the phone. At home, it also turns out that audio is more profitable than text, because if read , so you need at least an hour of free time, you need to sit down, make yourself comfortable, not be distracted by anything. And with headphones in your ears, you can simultaneously play computer games, even knit, even do housework. Again, you can listen together if you start the sound on the speakers – then, sort of, and reading in the home circle, and, at the same time, one does not need to dry his throat while the other is doing something of his own. You can have a quiet lunch for this business, and collect the puzzle, and brush the cats, and in general.
It just turned out that hearing without trying to sum up any “results” is like pouring clean sand. Plots seep through the brain, not leaving even vague memories. And I’m not at all sure that this is always the fault of inept authors. Therefore, I decided to tell you about something that relatively recently went through my ears. And although I said something there about the fact that TV shows are bad, and in general, the authors forgot how to write independent, single novels, I myself am a big fan of cycles! So what follows will be about books from different series, each of which has been going on for some time. There are quite a few books, the reviews are quite short, just a few words about personal impressions and hopes. Or insults, that’s how it goes.
in the ergostasio column
The third quarter of this year made it clear that the Polish non-realistic book market has another publisher to watch and another series that continues to develop (after its launch in second quarter). But first things first.
(And one more thing: as I – quite rightly – noticed, it is not worthwhile to use the opinions of readers and critics, without naming those who wrote it; I am correcting: hence – EBZH – further the fragment “review” implies a link to the source and an indication to its authorship).
The second quarter was rich in high-profile starts: at the very beginning of April, official sales of several books presented earlier at Pyrkon began. In general, April-June turned out to be much more diverse and plentiful.
And – I place the authors only as they come out in the second quarter.
1. PROTASIUK Michal. “Ad Infinitum”
Michal Protasiuk is an author who has received the attention of critics and readers with interest. He was born at 1978 in Budgoszcz, studied and lived for a long time in Poznań, since 2011 he moved to Warsaw. He was strongly associated with the Druga Era fantasy club in Poznań, writes criticism and journalism for one of the applications of New Fantasy, the magazine Czas Fantastyki, a kind of application-for-critical-works that began to appear from the time when NF itself ” has reduced the amount of such materials.
Protasyuk’s debut – the story “The Golgotha Project” – took place in 2003, and three years later, in 2006, his first novel was published: “The Omega Point” – a kind of glorious mixture of steampunk and a handful or two of ideas of the current philosophy of science, starting with late Wittgenstein. The mixture turned out to be loud, with an adventurous note, but, for obvious reasons, Protasyuk did not become a mass author. His next novels – “Structure” and “Celebration of the Revolution”, whose action took place already in the present or in the near future, were awarded prizes by him. E. Zhulavsky (2010 and 2012, respectively) and confirmed the opinion of Protasyuk as a serious author, acting out both the text and the context.
“Ad Infinitum” is Protasyuk’s fourth novel, and in it, in addition to, as always, well-acted scientific ideas, the author enhances the touch of “thriller” by introducing elements common to this kind of novels (secret services, ramified conspiracies, etc. ) .
…I will also add that the novel is still published by the same Powergraph, which I am happy to talk about in each of my notes.
But let’s give the floor to the author and readers.

ERGOSTASIO
9000 LEM. Letters. The second volume
Article was written on August 26, 2014 12:01
posted:
in the heading “New Monks”
in the Polish Fantastic section
in the author’s column Ergostasio
9000 9000 in October 2013 Wydawnictwo Literackie published the second volume of St. Lema. The first volume, as interested parties may remember, contained the correspondence between Lem and Mrozek, and covered a wide range of topics from literature to driving.
The second volume – and it is called “Glory and Fortune” (“Sława i Fortuna”) – contains St. Lem’s letters to his American translator, Michael Candle. These letters refer to the period 1972-1987 (with a clear preponderance of those written in the 70s), but the book itself, we note, is not so much a CORRESPONDENCE, but rather a collection of letters from St. Lema. Due to the characteristics of the addressee, the letters also contain specific information – they are not only literary-centric, they are also translation-centric. As can be judged from the excerpts from letters posted on the net, they could also serve as a great help to re-reading Lem’s Russian translations – at least the development of a common language for translating into English between the author and the translator meant Lem’s announcement of his credo and principles.
Actually, just below I tried – as clearly as possible – to give translations of four letters that touch on precisely these topics.

How to Prepare Your Daycare For Snow Closures and Keep Parents, Staff Informed
Did you know that 39 states get at least five inches of snow per year? That means that a majority of Americans live in places where snow closures are, at the very least, a possibility.
As a child care center owner, you need to be prepared!
Let’s discuss when to call a snow day and four ways to prepare your child care center for snow closures.
When to Call a Snow Day
So when should you close your daycare because of snow? It’s a difficult question to answer because there are so many different factors to consider.
An inch of snow in Colorado isn’t a big deal. The Mile High City is used to this kind of weather and is equipped to handle it. The same can’t be said for other cities, though, where an inch of snow might cause a flurry of snow closures.
When deciding whether or not to call a snow day, consider the safety of your teachers and the families you serve. Will they be able to get to your center without incident? If the answer is no, call a snow day. If the answer is yes, carry on as you normally would.
We also suggest keeping an eye on the public schools in your area. If the buses are running, there’s a good chance that the roads are safe enough to drive. If they’re not, it’s probably a good idea to close down your child care center until the weather improves.
Pro Tip: Snow closure decisions should be made in the early morning rather than the night before. This will allow you to account for current conditions.
Alexander Graham Bell once said that “before anything else, preparation is the key to success.” The question is, how do you prepare for snow closures?
These four tips will help:
1. Set Snow Closure Policies
You should set snow closure policies for your child care center well before you need them. That way the families you serve know what to expect and aren’t thrown for a loop when the snow rolls in and you shut down operations for the day.
Your snow closure policy should have these five elements:
Explain How Your Decision to Close is Made: List the things that factor into your decision to call a snow day. Information about current road conditions, the build-up of snow and ice, temperature and wind chill, the expected forecast, building and parking lot conditions are all valid factors and can be used to determine when you close your center and for how long.
Detail Who Makes the Decision to Close: State who is responsible for snow closure decisions. Is it you, the owner of your daycare center? If you have multiple locations, do you let each director under you make the call for themselves? Include these details for parents in your snow closure policy.
Set Deadlines for Making a Decision: When will parents know if your center is closed for the day? As mentioned earlier, we suggest making an early morning decision to account for the latest conditions. Just make it early enough that parents can make alternate plans if necessary.
Describe How Early Dismissals Will Work: Weather can be extremely hard to predict — just ask your local meteorologist. There’s a chance that you’ll open your daycare in the morning, conditions will worsen and you’ll have to dismiss kids early so that everyone can get home before the brunt of the storm hits. Information about this potential scenario should be included in your snow closure policy.
Explain How Snow Closures Affect Fees: Finally, make it clear to parents how your center handles snow closures in terms of finances. Will they receive a refund for the missed day(s)? In most cases, the answer is no. Many child care centers do not offer refunds for snow closures. This helps them continue to pay their staff. But you need to make a decision for your own center and then state it in your snow closure policy.
Once you’ve drafted your snow closure policy, make sure it’s accessible to parents. Post it on your website, include it in enrollment paperwork and send it in an email blast.
2. Keep Parents Updated
It’s important to communicate with parents at all times. But it’s especially important to prioritize communication before, during and after snow closures.
Parents shouldn’t have to ask, “Should I take my kids to daycare today?” or “I wonder when the child care center will open back up?” They shouldn’t have to ask about these things because you’ll keep them updated and give them the answers they need.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast during the winter months. If snow is expected, contact parents and let them know that a snow closure is a possibility. If you do have to close your center, give parents real-time updates as to when you might reopen.
3. Help Families Plan for a Snow Day
The weather is anything but predictable, which can make planning ahead a little tricky. If you have a sneaking suspicion that a snow closure is coming, do the families you serve a favor and send kids home with activities the day before.
For example, you could send kids home with the materials they’ll need to complete a fun craft or the directions to an inside game they can play during the snowstorm. Another idea is a list of movies you recommend they watch on Netflix, Disney Plus or another streaming service.
If you want to remain hands on, plan Zoom meetings during snow closures. That way you can read to kids or sing songs with them and give their frazzled parents a break.
Does planning ahead take extra effort? Yes. Will it be worth the trouble? YES!
Parents pay you to watch their kids because they have other responsibilities to attend to during the day. They’re not used to managing these responsibilities and their children, which means snow closures are often tough to deal with.
If you can relieve their stress by planning a few activities for them to do with their children, they’ll be incredibly grateful and much more likely to continue patronizing your business. They’ll be more willing to spread the word about your daycare to others, too.
4. Coordinate With Your Staff
Parents aren’t the only ones you need to communicate with during snow closures. You need to keep your staff updated as well. For example, your teachers should know:
If They Need to Come in to Work: When you tell parents that your daycare is closed, make sure you tell your staff, too. The earlier in the morning you do this, the better.
When the Snow Closure Will End: Tell your staff when you expect to open your daycare again. If you don’t know, promise to keep them updated.
What to Do While They’re at Home: Just because your teachers can’t come to work doesn’t mean they can’t do anything. Assign them tasks they can do from home, such as leading Zoom meetings or planning next week’s craft time.
If They Can Expect a Normal Paycheck: Does your child care center pay staff during snow closures? Make sure your employees know so they can plan accordingly.
Bring your staff into the decision-making process and ask them for their opinions. Think about how far they have to drive to get to work and how the weather conditions will affect their commute. Doing so will make them feel like valued members of your team.
How Software Helps Communicate With Parents
One of the best ways to stay in touch with parents during a snow closure is with Procare’s parent engagement app. This tool makes it easy to share important information with the parents and families in your child care center through easy, two-way communication.

Inclement Weather –
We love a snowy day!
General Policy Delayed Openings Details Closing for the Day Details
Little Huskies Policy
Gretchen’s House has great concern for the health and safety of the parents, staff and children as they travel to and from the centers, particularly in winter. Gretchen’s House will, therefore, either close the centers or have a delayed opening on days that the Ann Arbor Public Schools close for inclement weather or dangerous temperatures, or if there is a power outage or other “disaster” beyond our control.
We use several methods to issue notices:
Text Message, Phone Calls & Email Notifications
All staff and parent phone numbers and emails are automatically entered in our OneCallNow service, and we will use this to send notices of unexpected closings for any reason.
You will also be able to sign up to receive text messages through OneCallNow as well
We post a notice on our facebook page.
When the Ann Arbor Public Schools close due to inclement weather, Gretchen’s House will
have a delayed opening,
open at our usual time or
be closed all day.
In the event of an unexpected closing or delay, staff and families will be notified by phone, email and/or text by the One Call Now service. In addition, closing information will be posted on the Gretchen’s House Facebook page.

When we have a delayed opening:
Lunch will be prepared as usual, though the menu items may differ from the schedule if necessary.
Care for School Age children will begin at noon. Kindergarten and School age children wishing to come to Gretchen’s House on an inclement weather day for hours they are not normally in attendance must call the center after 10:00 a.m. to check for availability.
All centers will close at the regular closing time of 5:00. Parents are asked to pick up their children at their own regular pick-up time (many children are picked up before 5:00) since those staff who normally leave by 5:00 may still need to leave at their scheduled time to meet other commitments (college classes, second job, etc.).
If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the centers may call parents to require an early pick-up.

When the centers are closed all day:
Parent will be notified by the OneCallNow system. Please speak to your center Director to receive the information and link on how to sign up for specialized settings.
Gretchen’s House teachers are not permitted to care for children from the centers if we are closed due to inclement weather or dangerous temperatures. The teachers are being paid for this time and are therefore expected to do additional planning and preparation at home.
Parents who wish to share child care with other Gretchen’s House parents on these days can put their names on our co-op list and coordinate this care themselves.

Inclement Weather — Little Huskies Little Huskies will close when Michigan Tech is closed. On mornings with inclement weather, please listen to local radio stations that announce school closings. If the Houghton/Keweenaw area schools close for the day, Little Huskies will automatically have a 10:00 a. m. delayed opening. Parents can call our Snow Emergency Hotline (906.487.1010) for updates on closings when inclement weather is expected or on-going.

when children can’t walk in the cold☘️, the optimal temperature for children to walk
Contents
Is it possible to go for walks with a child in frost
When it is possible not to attend kindergarten or school
Parents’ comments
With climate warming
in winter we can never wait for the cold and snow. Some winters surprise with record high temperatures, when for all three months children do not see snow, and adults walk in autumn jackets. But this year the winter pleased with the abundance of snow and bitter cold. And we, unprepared, look with horror at the thermometer, the column of which falls below -15 degrees, and do not understand how we can live in such winter weather. nine0014
Is it possible to go for a walk with a child in the cold
When adults are used to warm winter weather, it becomes a real challenge for them to get to kindergarten in the morning or just go to the store with a baby. It seems that fresh frosty air is good for the child’s body, but, on the other hand, are there any restrictions on walking? After all, even a warmly dressed child can get frostbite, not to mention his heat-loving parents.
According to the sanitary standards that Russian kindergartens adhere to, the walk should be short if the air temperature drops below -15 degrees and the wind speed is at least 7 km/sec. Babies up to 3.5-4 years old should not be taken out for a walk in frost and strong wind, and older children (from 5 to 7 years old) should not be taken outside if it is twenty degrees below zero. nine0003
Last year, new sanitary standards were adopted, but nothing was said about winter walks. However, pediatricians recommend that parents stay at home with their children if it is cold and windy outside. See also: Winter fun: 60 games to play with children
When you can not attend kindergarten or school
There are no generally accepted standards for attending educational institutions and kindergartens in Russia. Each region is given the freedom to decide whether to close a school or kindergarten during severe frosts or not. This year, the authorities of Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and some other regions closed schools and kindergartens due to weather conditions. nine0003
As a general rule, kindergarteners and elementary school students can stay at home if the air temperature drops below -20-25 degrees. Middle and high school students do not study when it is cold outside – 26-31 degrees.
Note! In Moscow, educational institutions adhere to the standards of sanitary norms, and in Krasnodar, lessons can be canceled already at a temperature of -15 degrees.
In Yakutia, they are used to the cold, so students can not attend school only when the thermometer drops below 42-45 degrees. nine0040

Parents’ reviews We work, and there is no one to sit at home with him.
But when the air temperature dropped to -27 degrees, and a strong wind picked up, my husband and I decided to leave our son at home. And then in the general chat, the teacher wrote that the kindergarten would be closed. We need to drive to the kindergarten for about 15 minutes, and it’s not a fact that the car would start in such a frost. In general, they took a day off from work and stayed at home. nine0014
Svetlana, Minsk:
“We haven’t had a winter like this year for a very long time. On New Year’s Eve it rained, and then the frost hit sharply. The eldest daughter canceled lessons at school, but the kindergarten continued to work. Theoretically, we could take the youngest son to the group, but the parents unsubscribed that no one was going to take the children in such weather. Now it is warmer, -15 degrees, so we plan to start visiting the garden.”
Ekaterina, Moscow:
“From birth, I take my daughter for a walk every day, before lunch and in the evening. My daughter will soon be 2 years old, she loves walking very much. But when it’s cold outside, we stay at home. Despite the fact that we use protective creams, the baby’s cheeks are covered with a red crust from the wind and begin to peel off. My organism in general hardly transfers a frost and a wind. It immediately becomes difficult for me to breathe, my head begins to spin. Although we dress warmly, this does not save in severe frost. It’s better to sit out such weather at home, and go for a walk when there is snow and a slight minus. nine0014
Kindergartens closed in Krasnodar due to hot water outages
By July 5, part of the kindergartens in Krasnodar were closed for two weeks due to lack of hot water. Working parents are not at all happy with such an annual “gift”, because most mothers and fathers have no one to leave their children with – grandparents are far away, they have to look for private gardens for a while (and this is another adaptation of the baby) or take an unplanned vacation. What should parents do in such a situation and why preschool children are not transferred to other municipal kindergartens, and also whether parents can independently install boilers in the group – the correspondent of Krasnodar’s Notebook understood. nine0037
Traditionally, every summer in Krasnodar, hot water is turned off for two weeks. Not only residential buildings, but also kindergartens fall under the shutdowns. And parents sound the alarm again and again: where to put the children for two whole weeks? Many moms and dads are unable to babysit because of their jobs. It’s good if grandparents are nearby. And if not, what should parents do? Duty groups in kindergartens, unfortunately, for the most part do not offer.
nine0003
Parents offer to install boilers in kindergartens at their own expense, but for some reason this initiative is reluctantly supported by the heads of preschool institutions.
So, in the Moskovskiy microdistrict, since July 5, kindergarten No. 192 was closed for two weeks due to hot water outages. Kindergarten No. 221 has been closed for a week now. It should be noted that kindergarten No. 193, adjacent to the first one, has not stopped its work in the summer for the second year already – boilers are installed there. As the parents themselves, whose children go to this “happy” kindergarten, say, the boilers were installed not at the expense of the parents, but at the expense of the institution itself.
nine0003
Why they are not installed in neighboring kindergartens is not clear.
– Kindergarten 193 is working, boilers were installed there last year, in my opinion, but we don’t have it in kindergarten 192. Why? One of the parents definitely went to the manager, offered his help in resolving this issue, as well as on the problem of energy supply, because of which they may be afraid to install boilers. The manager said they would take care of everything. As a result, the kindergarten closed today, – one of the residents of the Moskovsky microdistrict told the Krasnodar Notebook correspondent.
nine0003
The mother of a girl attending kindergarten No. 221 also said that for some reason they did not install boilers in the kindergarten, and they were not offered a transfer to another kindergarten.
– We live in the 21st century, and kindergartens are closed due to lack of hot water. Can’t this issue be resolved? As for the transfer to other kindergartens, no one offered us anything. In general, they seem to be translating, you need to find out from the manager. But they don’t want to do it, – says Krasnodar.
– I heard that they give places in other gardens, but only for those who are in dire need. Or children of civil servants, – says another mother.
With a question about the closure of kindergartens, we turned to the mayor’s office of Krasnodar.
– According to the Department of Education, the lack of heat and hot water supply in the premises of kindergartens does not allow them to work in accordance with the established requirements of sanitary legislation, because of this, their activities are suspended.
