Early Childhood Education Bachelor of Arts Degree Programs Colorado

With its long history of teacher education, the University of Northern Colorado is
highly regarded for its teaching philosophy and outstanding graduates. When you choose
UNC’s Early Childhood Teacher Education program, you are choosing a program that offers
small class sizes, passionate faculty and hours of field and classroom experience.
The Early Childhood Teacher Education Program also offers a minor in early childhood
for students outside the College of Education (such as pediatricians, nurses and speech
pathologists) who seek a career working with children and families.

Led by dedicated early childhood professors who are actively involved in teaching
and research, you’ll develop a range of specialized skills to work with children from
birth through age 8. You’ll benefit from extensive field-based learning opportunities
that provide valuable classroom experience in both birth-5 and K-3 settings.

Small class sizes and many opportunities to volunteer in schools and communities (such
as after-school tutoring and our Waste Not Food program) allow you to deepen your education and develop professional relationships for future
success.

Degree Options

The Early Childhood Teacher Education degree offers two options: an emphasis in Teacher
Education or Liberal Arts depending on your interests and career goals. Note that
in Colorado, students can take the PRAXIS teacher certification exam and have their licensure
extended to include fourth, fifth and sixth grades as well. This program is also offered
through the Center for Urban Education in Denver.

Early Childhood Teacher Education Degree with Director Qualification and Ages Birth
– 8 Licensure

The Teacher Education emphasis includes methods courses focused on K-3 teaching and
a semester-long student teaching experience. This option is ideal for students who
wish to pursue a license to teach children in K-3 classrooms in elementary schools.

Early Childhood Education Liberal Arts Emphasis Degree with Director Qualification

Want to work with children younger than five? Instead of taking methods courses and
student teaching in your senior year, the Liberal Arts emphasis includes other electives
that will prepare you to teach children birth to age five in a variety of settings.

Center for Urban Education

Interested in gaining specialized training and experience in urban school districts?
All Center students spend their mornings in a classroom teacher apprenticeship position
– all four years. Students receive pay as well as college credit for this experience.
That means you will be part of the school environment as working, contributing staff
members while you complete your college education.   You’ll be mentored by a retired
master teacher who offers guidance and support for the classroom apprenticeship experience.

How human behavior depends on genetics

In late August, the journal Nature Neuroscience published the largest study on the relationship between genetics and human behavior, including the nature of antisocial behavior, alcohol and opioid use. 26 scientists from the US and the Netherlands were able to analyze and compare the data of 1.5 million people and identify 579 regions in the genome that are presumably associated with various manifestations of character. Among them: mental disorders, addictions, self-regulation, excitability, problem behavior in childhood, etc. [1]. nine0003

What is in the genes

Based on these results, the authors of the article built a scale of genetic risk – a number that reflects the general predisposition of a person to a number of behavioral, medical and social characteristics. By defining a “measure of predictability,” one can calculate how much a person is able to develop learning and work abilities, a propensity for drug use and criminal behavior, and even a predisposition to contracting HIV.

Advertising on RBC www.adv.rbc.ru

nine0003

However, according to Daniel Dick, one of the authors of the study, this does not mean that there is a gene for drug addiction or antisocial behavior: “Genes affect the way the brain works, which can make us more prone to certain behavioral patterns. In this case, we find that there are genes that largely influence self-control or impulsivity. Thus, this predisposition can create a risk for a certain life scenario” [2].

An important role in behavior is played by the ability to take risks, the level of self-control and impulsivity, which can vary depending on the set of genes. Lack of self-regulation affects both mental health (for example, in the case of diagnosed attention deficit disorder and other behavioral disorders) and physical (for example, a person cannot refrain from constantly overeating, which leads to obesity).

Nevertheless, the presence of a certain set of genes is not a sentence. For example, if the composition of a person’s genes forms in him a predisposition to take risks, this does not mean that he will behave antisocially – the same set was found in test pilots, entrepreneurs and top managers. In which direction – constructive or destructive – the pendulum will swing depends on the environment in which the child grows up. nine0003

According to the authors of the study, the characterization of the genetic contribution to self-regulation can be useful in many ways. First, it will help you better understand character changes. Secondly, it will allow the development of new drugs and medical programs for early intervention and prevention of behavior that can harm both the individual and the environment.

Can traumatic experience be inherited

A genome is a collection of hereditary material found in a cell. There are 75 trillion cells in the human body that can store 150 zettabytes (that’s 10 to the 21st power) of information. If it is deciphered and printed, it will be 262,000 pages [3].

There are recorded external data, behavioral and physiological predispositions that each of us inherited from previous generations.

Research is already under way on whether traumatic experiences can be transmitted at the gene level. So, scientists from the University of Atlanta conducted an experiment on mice. The rodents were allowed to smell the aroma of cherry blossoms and at the same time they were shocked. As a result, the animals developed a violent negative reaction to this smell. The second and third generations of mice no longer experienced such horror from these flowers, but the rodents tensed up and began to behave cautiously. Scientists did not find differences between the reactions of individuals that were conceived naturally and in vitro, from which they concluded that the negative experience was transmitted to them through gene mutation [4]. nine0003

Human studies have also been carried out. In particular, the scientists found that the children of Holocaust survivors had hereditary changes in a gene that was associated with their levels of cortisol, a hormone involved in the stress response. The article was critically acclaimed due to the insufficient number of participants (about 30 representatives of the older generation and 22 of the younger generation) [5], [6]. New studies are planned among a larger number of respondents.

Whatever the genetics, the most important role in the formation of a person is influenced by the environment, primarily relationships with parents and other significant adults. Not only genes can influence the brain and the construction of neural connections, but also the behavior of the mother in early childhood, then the father, as well as communication with peers. nine0003

Andrey Yudin, Gestalt therapist

A person’s character is formed and develops in the process of constant interaction of biological, psychological and social factors throughout life. It is possible to draw a conditional parallel between the process of character formation and the process of tree growth. The early stage of development to a very large extent affects what the general constitution of the tree will be like, how its trunk and several main branches will look like, what the configuration of the root system will be. In subsequent years, the already established structure develops and becomes more complicated, new shoots, leaves and roots appear. But the basis of the tree also continues to depend on external factors: for example, if a drought occurs in the fifth year of life or an ax is hit on the trunk, this can greatly change the fate of the whole tree. nine0003

All modern theories of the development of the human psyche agree that the first years of a person’s life, especially the first three, are key to the formation of the “framework” of the personality.

The term “antisocial behavior” is usually not used in relation to very young children, because for them behavior that is contrary to social norms is for the most part normal due to the immaturity of the physiological and psychological mechanisms responsible for compliance with these norms. Some children have inborn features of brain function that are highly likely to lead to antisocial behavior later in life (so-called organically determined psychopathy). These features can be detected by psychiatrists against the background of unusual behavior and reactions of a child, adolescent or adult. But such people make up a negligible fraction of the total mass of people who commit anti-social acts, in particular serious crimes. nine0003

The most effective methods for preventing the development of destructive character traits and antisocial behavior are absolutely applied and well-known methods, in the first place:

  • prohibition and prevention of physical abuse of children;
  • improving the material security of families with small children;
  • promotion of a culture of breastfeeding and natural childcare;
  • bringing adoption institutions and guardianship authorities in line with modern practice. nine0046

The general principle is simple: in the first place are modern, functioning institutions for the protection of children, in the second place is the culture of environmentally friendly upbringing and child care, in the third place is everything else. In other words, if there are holes in the bottom of the ship through which water flows into the hold, we first plug the holes and only then eliminate the consequences.

Stress, like all other aspects of life, is involved in the process of character formation. This is normal: any development of a person implies the presence of some tolerable level of stress. One of the key competencies of parents, teachers and coaches is to dose this stress in such a way as to create an environmentally friendly and fairly safe developmental environment for the child. Traumatic stress becomes when it is too intense (flooding, beyond the capacity of the brain) and / or too long. nine0003

The negative effects of flooding and chronic stress are often underestimated. On the one hand, it is obvious that overcoming difficulties and trials tempers a person’s character, makes him stronger, and promotes development. On the other hand, people often do not distinguish useful, tolerable stress from traumatic, justify physical and emotional violence, and sometimes outright sadism, by tempering their character. This is primarily due to the fact that psychology is a young science, and on a global scale, humanity is only beginning to be sufficiently aware of the mechanisms of the formation and development of the psyche, in particular, the destructive effects of traumatic stress. nine0003

Eating is only necessary where a person lives his own kitchen

When it snows, you want to eat much more, have you ever noticed? The streets are filled with frozen townspeople, wrapped up to their cheeks in scarves, and thoughts increasingly revolve not around work, but around a bowl of hot soup. nine0003

In autumn, every Muscovite tries to find his own, the most comfortable place with the best wine or coffee, where he could spend the winter for endless six months of frost, which have already begun to storm us.

A correspondent of the MIR 24 TV channel looked into the very epicenter – the kitchen – of a prestigious network restaurant in the capital and found out from its chef Orif Matkarimov about the most important and most delicious secrets that are usually hidden from the eyes of the visitor.

Love for cooking is at the gene level

Orif was born into a family of hereditary cooks: his father first came to the kitchen at only 14 years old. In parallel, he studied at an evening school, and from the very early morning he worked at the Intourist restaurant in the city of Fergana.

Therefore, he taught his large family with three boys to work from childhood.

The sons lost their mother early, and already from school age – the sixth or seventh grade – they helped the head of the family organize large banquets, lay tables, cook and clean the kitchen, receiving their first salary for this. nine0003

“A great chef’s career almost always starts with getting to know the insides of the kitchen: learning how to properly process and cut every product that falls into your hands, running errands, watching others cook and getting used to rubbing shine your workplace, ”recalls Orif.

The first education of the chef was a field very far from cooking: he graduated from the Fergana State Pedagogical University with a profession of a teacher-lawyer. nine0003

By that time both of our hero’s older brothers had already moved to Russia and worked by profession – in restaurants.

“At university, I always thought that I would be the only person who would not follow in the family footsteps and never become a chef. I came to Moscow, decided to continue my studies in law and came to the Peoples’ Friendship University ( PFUR ) to apply, I heard that the admission was only in two months. Then I didn’t even think that in two months I would go into cooking with my head, ”he shares. nine0003

Now Orif Matkarimov’s work experience is more than ten years, during which he managed to go from a cook in a hot shop to the chef of a prestigious restaurant in the center of Moscow.

First freshness

At first glance it may seem that the work of a cook is not that difficult. But as soon as you see how well-coordinated and coordinated the Orif team works, it immediately becomes clear: this is a physically and creatively difficult job, which implies not only a huge amount of knowledge, but also love for your work. nine0003

“My teaching experience helped me a lot: for my refrigerator, for example, I wrote cheat sheets and tips on how many grams of each product I should use to prepare a standard Caesar salad and how many minutes I should spend doing it,” he says.

Now, under his leadership, 24 people cook around the clock for a restaurant in an open kitchen – where visitors see every step of the chef, every product that is used in their dish.

The requirements for a professional are the same – speed, quality and taste in the preparation of each stage from processing to serving.

“Work is like a second family for us, we spend a lot of time together. The cohesion of the team is incredibly important – it affects both the taste and the efficiency of cooking, so I pay a lot of attention to it. Tomorrow, for example, this shift will go with me to a chocolate factory to study the history and technology of making chocolate, – the chef explains. nine0003

When asked if he cooks at home or with friends, Orif smiles and replies: “No, very rarely”, adding: “Because my wife cooks very tasty”.

But, unlike the home environment, the chef is sure, it is not only possible, but even necessary, to speak about your complaint, if any, in a restaurant. “As a person who constantly works with food, I always understand when a dish is cooked with soul, you can’t even imagine how it feels,” the chef emphasizes.

“Never be afraid to say you don’t like something. If you go to a restaurant, order pancakes, and realize that store-bought ones are much tastier, tell the chef that. For us, any feedback is a gift, and the constant striving for improvement is the first step towards improving the quality of the work of the entire establishment,” says the expert.

By the way, many chefs make trips to establishments with fellow chefs of other restaurants to taste their culinary masterpieces, which also helps them improve their skills. nine0003

How not to make a mistake with a choice of

The number of new restaurants, coffee houses, shops and points of street food in Moscow is growing exponentially ( approx. more than three thousand new catering establishments are registered ), and each owner, of course, comes up with his own peculiarity of the establishment: somewhere they prepare craft beer or cider, some bakery specializes only in eclairs or donuts, some restaurants are installed in the very center of the kitchen huge grill for fresh meat. nine0003

“Everything that happens outside the tables is up to the chef, whether he cooks for a small shop or a huge fashionable restaurant. The pricing policy and the level of the restaurant’s “windup” do not guarantee you quality. Pay attention to how the chef relates to what he does – this is much more important.

And even despite such a number of new and atmospheric establishments, social networks are full of reviews from citizens who were dissatisfied with the quality, freshness, and taste of the ordered dish. nine0003

“Follow those “chips” offered by the cafe owner. When I find myself in a new establishment, regardless of the format: burger, coffeeshop or dumplings, I pay attention to the atmosphere among the guests, and only then make a decision whether to stay or not. In addition, I don’t even always look at the restaurant menu and the assortment that they offer. If three people in front of me took the same or a similar dish in a row, I will take it fourth and I will definitely not lose, ”says the chef. nine0003

“If you come to a new establishment, you definitely can’t go wrong if you take not the most expensive, but the most popular dish, which is sold in the largest volumes. For example, a signature pie, soup or dessert. This means that the products for it are purchased almost every day, and the quality and freshness of the finished dish is guaranteed,” explains Orif.

If we talk about the orientation of the cuisine of a particular country, then, of course, you need to understand that not in any fashionable restaurant in Russia you can find fresh fish and seafood, but if you order a simple dish, for which the team of chefs “Hand full”, you will definitely get more pleasure from the taste and quality of its performance. nine0003

The kitchen is the epicenter and the main scene of the restaurant, but that’s not all, notes the source. According to Orif, you need to pay attention to other very important details: serving, cleanliness of the room, ventilation, quality of utensils, the convenience of arranging tables, the toilet room, and whether the kitchen is open to the eyes of visitors.

“Pay attention to where the restaurant kitchen is located. If stoves, work surfaces and tables for staff open up behind a glass partition, feel free to stay. This format came to Russia from European countries and shows that chefs have nothing to hide,” sums up the chef. nine0003

Orif Matkarimov also told that in gastronomic tours to other countries he learned to appreciate family restaurants, the menu of which is always small and often updated, and dishes are prepared from fresh seasonal, and most importantly, local products: vegetables, fruits, spices and meat.

“After the imposition of sanctions in Russia, establishments that cook from local products began to appear more and more often, not for such a wide flow and in very small volumes.

Ms. Elia

Program Director

Hello LSP Families! My name is Elia and I am so honored and excited to be serving as your Program Director at our LSP Dominion location! I have been with LSP since the fall of 2016 prior to our castle’s opening and I have found my forever home with this wonderful company.

I am originally from California where I began my journey in Early Childhood Education at UCLA. I have worked in a variety of roles within the industry and have over 30 years of experience, ranging from classroom teaching to senior management. I am very passionate about being an advocate for your child and partnering with families and staff to create the best environment possible.

On a personal note, my husband and I share three amazing children. I’m the proud grandma of two precious grandbabies! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with our family and crafting.

I am looking forward to meeting you! I thrive with open communication and transparency, so please know my door is always open for your family!

Ms. Candice

Assistant Director

Hello! My name is Candice, and it is my pleasure to be your Assistant Director of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of San Antonio at Dominion.

My love for early childhood education began almost 10 years ago when I started working in a church child care program and with private nanny opportunities.

My journey with Little Sunshine’s started in 2016 when we opened our first preschool in San Antonio, located in Dominion. I was a teacher in the infant classroom, and I truly loved it! I have always had a love for babies. It’s so fun watching them develop, gain motor skills, and grow. I was given the opportunity to expand my knowledge and passion for early childhood education by accepting a role as head teacher. This experience helped me expand my leadership skills in so many ways and led me to the amazing opportunity to be the assistant director of our other San Antonio school located in Stone Oak. I am so happy for the opportunity to be back here at Dominion!

A little about myself, I am a native San Antonian, born and raised. I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband and our sweet daughter. Both my husband and I are actively involved with our church.

I can’t wait to get to know each of you and your sweet children.

We love LSP Dominion! Our son started in August and Courtney and Angie have done amazing things for his development and growth! They are amazing teaches and we are truly thankful for them! I highly recommend LSP.

Amanda

We love this school. Our son and daughter are so happy every time they get dropped off. We used to have a full-time nanny and decided to switch during COVID and was impressed with the transition. We love you guys!

We have been so happy with Little Sunshine’s at the Dominion! Our son has gone to preschool part-time for the last year, and his teachers have done a wonderful job preparing him for kindergarten. They have an extensive list of kindergarten readiness skills and everything is well documented. We have no complaints about Little Sunshine’s and will miss all the teachers and staff.

Once you get past the bridge over the Canal, it takes about 2 hours to reach El Valle. (Careful, radar highway patrol speed traps-turn on Waze app) Once you go past San Carlos go for about 2 miles. Turn off to El Valle is at the right on the Pan American highway by the green pedestrian elevated walkway and a gas station. You drive about 40 minutes, or around 28 kilometers. The first building in El Valle is the Centro Comercial/Delta Gas Station. Go past that, go past the small bridge (Hotel Greco, swimming pool is on the right), and at the next intersection the road to Hotel Campestre is on the right. Turn right here. You want to reach HOTEL CAMPESTRE. Go about a mile, then road forks at a small chapel. Take the left fork, go forward until you reach a dead end right in front of the Hotel Campestre. There make a CAREFUL left turn (blind curve). Make your first right (careful, blind curve), going up the hill following the grounds of the Hotel. We are the 2nd home on the left, just past the turn that goes behind the Hotel and is marked with a sign Altos de Maria and Mata Ahogado. Large gate, and on left side says Finca San Antonio and the other post says Familia Garcia-Benjamin. nine0013

    Very good

Very clean rooms. Rooms are cleaned daily, thorough and unobtrusive. The territory is designed as a park, there are many cats, ducks and ducklings on the territory. There is a nice little shop. The hotel is located next to Taoro Park. Bus stop nearby. The hotel often had a taxi on duty (a comfortable minibus with a helpful driver), in addition, it has its own free bus to the city center. nine0013

Many buildings are located next to a noisy main road. There are not enough empty seats in the dining room and there is a queue to get a cup. Unfriendly front desk staff. There was no promised WiFi in the public area and no bike rental, although they were advertised on Booked.net. On the first day, disgusting sausages were caught for breakfast, but, in principle, the breakfast is edible. The telephone in the room did not work because the wire from the socket was cut off.

Kids R’ Kids Corporate Office Responds Following Swift Backlash from Viral Photo Appearing to Show White Children Eating While Black Children Wait

    News

    Posted byBy Niara Savage |
    CommentsComments (0)

A Georgia day care is under fire after a screenshot of livestream classroom footage from the Roswell Kids R’ Kids location showed white children eating at tables as Black children waited.

Adryan McCauley, the father of a 2-year-old child who attended Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb just north of Atlanta, described to CBS46 what he believes the livestream footage of the classroom shows.

“They were skipping all of the Black kids, it seemed like,” said McCauley.

After the child’s parents saw the footage upon checking on their son, they took a screenshot and the boy’s mother immediately went to pick him up from the day care.

“All the white kids got their lunch, and all the Black kids had to wait,” McCauley added. His son can be seen in the screenshot of the livestream posted by the family. “From the videos and pictures that we saw today, we are just completely disturbed.”

The imaged has been shared widely on social media.

A Georgia daycare is under fire after a screenshot of livestream classroom footage from the Roswell Kids ‘R’ Kids location showed white children eating at tables as Black children waited. (Photo: @marquis_dagreat/Instagram)

He continued, “Mom went and picked him up immediately, and the director said, ‘I’m not really sure because I’m not in the classroom, maybe it’s a dietary thing,’” said McCauley.

In a statement, the Roswell day care outlet told CBS46. “We know the act was random, and the photo doesn’t show the entire room; we believe if the parents viewed the videos they would understand. I wish they could see the compassion we have.”

Along with the photo, McCauley expressed the unfortunate reality Black parents face when deciding which educational environment is best for their children. “As blacks we always strive to send our kids to schools in Suburban area’s, but I’m telling you first hand that is not always best. This is not a black or white issue this is simply wrong!”

On social media users shared the image and expressed frustration about the incident.

    @heartdatrian4u/Twitter

One user wrote that there was “no way” the situation was just a coincidence.

    @Ble88edK1ng/Twitter

Another requested the incident be investigated by the Georgia Department of Early Child Care.

    @MsTab00/Twitter

David Vinson, president and CEO of Kids R’ Kids, responded to the controversy surrounding the image. “I wish that everybody would be able to see the video in entirety first and not just a snapshot,” he said, while not explaining why the company didn’t simply release the video for all to see.

He said he had reviewed the video and added, “Perception is unfortunately reality, and with the cancel culture, unfortunately, it’s the perception.”

Vinson’s expressions of how it was possible the screenshot was being misinterpreted seem to be at odds with the action his company took against the Roswell franchise. By late in the afternoon of April 8 Kids R’ Kids issued the family an apology and severed ties with the Roswell franchise.

“The interactions captured on video by one of our families, yesterday, is disturbing and not in accordance with the inclusive culture that we promote at Kids ‘R’ Kids amongst our families, their children or our staff,” the company said in a statement that went out over Vinson’s name.

“After further review and much consideration of the photo/video in question, our company has decided to terminate that franchisee’s Kids ‘R’ Kids contract and branding, effective immediately, leaving them to operate independently,” the statement continued.

The company said it would help families displaced by the decision find other daycare options.

Organization and holding of corporate events for children in Moscow

What is a children’s corporate? – This is a children’s holiday within a team. Examples of corporate events can be: graduations in kindergartens and schools, events in children’s camps, holidays for children of company employees.

The Kindermax team helps in organizing children’s corporate holidays. We undertake the development of the concept of the event and control over the quality of the services provided.

The most common occasion for a children’s corporate party is New Year’s Eve.

We have set up several New Year’s programs that we offer, focusing on the number of children and their age. The main characters are, of course, Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden. Together with them, different characters from fairy tales or animals can come to the holiday.

How we celebrated children’s New Year’s corporate holidays:

organizing a children’s entertainment program at the New Year Tree in Moscow (Photo reports (www.max-relax.ru) -> NG children’s program),
organization of a children’s New Year corporate party in a beauty salon (Photo reports -> NG in a beauty salon).

    Holidays in kindergartens

We often offer puppet shows, show programs, clowns and animators for corporate parties in children’s educational institutions.

    Examples of holidays in kindergartens:

organizing graduation in kindergarten Moscow (Photo reports -> Graduation in kindergarten),
how to hold graduation in kindergarten Moscow (Photo reports -> Graduation in kindergarten).

Children’s parties for employees of the company

Parties for children in companies are organized on various occasions, including Maslenitsa and Easter. Trained animals are frequent guests at such events. At street festivities, horses and ponies with carts are in great demand. Also these days it is popular to hold various master classes for children.

We develop a script for the holiday, based on the needs and conditions of its holding. As a rule, the program includes active games, creative activities and an exciting show. At large venues, we install attractions, bring sound-amplifying equipment. The completion of a children’s corporate party can be fireworks or salute from balloons.

“In search of a magic candle”

New Year is the most favorite holiday for both children and adults.

Increasingly, companies where moms and dads work are organizing a fun New Year’s party for the children of employees. And here the inevitable difficulty arises: after all, children are all of different ages, and it is difficult to choose a program that both three-year-old kids and almost teenagers like.

What is required from the holiday program so that everyone would have fun at the holiday?

Competitions and games for different ages, familiar and favorite characters of the New Year’s fairy tale, gifts, songs, dances and, of course, a story in which children can take part themselves.

Duration of the holiday: about 1.5 hours, because the kids get tired quickly.

Venue: a conference hall decorated for the New Year holiday, always with a Christmas tree

Number of guests: the more the better, as long as there is enough space for round dances and games.

Children’s age: it is desirable that children are not too small, but not too old – from 4-5 to 11-12 years.

Music: New Year’s songs with words for a round dance and dances, a separate recording of backing tracks for a guessing game.

    Props

    • Magic candle around which the script is built.
    • Prizes and gifts are usually prepared in advance by the enterprise or bought by parents so that Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden can present them.
    • Baba Yaga’s broom and a whisk for Yozhka.
    • Koshchei’s Chest.
    • Snowballs made of cotton wool or crumpled paper, white paper ice floes, magic icicle.

    Scenery:

    1. The main and most important decoration is the Christmas tree itself, decorated for the holiday, the characters move around it, but it would be nice to provide some corner nearby where they can wait for their appearance on the stage.

    2. If it is not possible to change the scenery behind the curtain, Koshchei’s palace can be made by bringing Koshchei’s chest and throne – a decorated chair with a high back – to an impromptu stage.

    3. Baba Yaga’s hut – a cardboard hut on a stick installed on the stage.

    Costumes and characters:

    1. Father Frost and Snow Maiden, traditional costumes.

    2. Baba Yaga.

    3. Yozhka’s granddaughter. She is dressed quite modernly, but “fabulous” is added to the costume: a disheveled wig, beads made of artificial mushrooms or acorns, a small panicle.

    4. Koschey.

All fairy-tale characters are already in a hurry to our New Year’s party from the Miniclub! Hurry up too!

Scenario “In search of a magic candle”

Baba Yaga’s hut stands near the Christmas tree, Yozhka comes out, sweeping the floor with a whisk.

    Yozhka:

Eh, sk-u-u-u-scientific… So the New Year has come, but what’s the point? This year I dressed up a real Christmas tree, and baked a cake … But there are no guests. No one goes to visit my grandmother Yaga – everyone is afraid! And I don’t have any friends. Now, if Santa Claus looked at us, I would know what to ask him. No gifts are needed … And I would like at least one friend or girlfriend! Eh … Oh, grandma is coming! Yes, not alone, but with Koshchei. Do not love him!

(hiding under the Christmas tree or behind it)

    Enter Koschey with Yaga.

    Koschei:

What, Yaga-bone leg, did you really decide to celebrate the New Year?

    Yaga:

Yes, you are crazy, Koshcheyushka. Ugh for this New Year! Everyone rejoices, they sing songs, play, they are not afraid of anything … Woo, I wish I had them! (threatens children with a broom) And this nasty granddaughter decorated the tree! So it sparkles, you can’t pass through the clearing!

    Koschey:

You’re in vain, Yaga! A tree is a useful thing. Eh, we should get a magic candle, we would show them all …

    Yaga:

    Candle? What kind of candle?

    Koschei:

Magic! Only Santa Claus has such a candle. Whoever lights the lights on the New Year tree with this candle will have their most cherished wish come true! Grandfather promised to give this candle to his granddaughter for the New Year, the Snow Maiden. She has a birthday on New Year’s Eve.

    Yaga:

Wow! How can we get this candle, Koshcheyushka? We would then show everyone!

    Koschey:

How? That’s how! Since your granddaughter Yozhka has dressed up the Christmas tree, Santa Claus will certainly visit her … This is where we will not blunder …

    (leave)

Hedgehog crawls out from under the Christmas tree.

    Yozhka:

Wow! Magic candle! She would make my wish come true! Only a candle for the Snow Maiden, Santa Claus will never give it to me. That would be the first to drag this candle! Guys, don’t give me away! Do you all have friends? And I want too!

(stomps his foot, waves his whisk and hides again under the Christmas tree)

Father Frost and the Snow Maiden enter.

    Santa Claus:

Well, granddaughter, and the first Christmas tree this year. Look you! In the dense forest, yes, such a beauty! Who dressed her up? Are squirrels and foxes?

Baba Yaga peeps out from behind the Christmas tree

    Yaga:

And this is me and my granddaughter, Santa Claus, we were waiting for you! Look what a tree! And the granddaughter baked a pie … Sit down, eat a piece and treat the Snow Maiden … Put a bag … Are you tired of the road?

    Snow Maiden:

    Tired, grandma Yaga. Thank you…

Puts a bag under the tree, takes a pie. From under the Christmas tree, Yozhka reaches for the bag, takes out a candle, but Koschey immediately grabs it and runs away.

    Yozhka:

    Ah! Help! They stole…

    Father Frost:

What was stolen? Ah, robbers! Villains! I’ll freeze everyone!

    Yaga:

It’s not me! It’s all Koschei!

    Father Frost:

I will turn into icicles! In snowmen! They stole a gift for the Snow Maiden!

    Snow Maiden:

Don’t worry, grandfather! Nothing, I have fun without a New Year’s gift!

    Yozhka is crying.

    Yozhka:

Excuse me! I did not want! I just wanted a wish… One small one!

    Santa Claus:

Eh, Yozhinka… Is it possible to do that? And what will Koschei do now if the candle fulfills his desire? Can he wish for something good?

    Yozhka:

Excuse me! I’ll fix it, honestly! I’ll go and take a candle from Koshchei!

    Santa Claus:

How can I let you go to Koshchei, so little? Will he give you a candle?

    Snow Maiden:

Will give it back, grandfather! I’ll go with Yozhka! You need to light the Christmas trees, deliver gifts, and we can handle it ourselves …

    Santa Claus:

And that’s right, granddaughter… Here’s a magic icicle for you. If Koschey becomes stubborn, call Blizzard and Blizzard for help – the villain will quickly grow wiser.

Baba Yaga goes behind the Christmas tree, Santa Claus goes in the other direction.

    Snow Maiden:

Oh, how can we get to Koshchei?

    Yozhka:

: I don’t know. I would fly alone on a broomstick, but she won’t lift two. Invented! I’ll take my grandmother’s spare broom! Just need to fill it up!

    Snow Maiden:

What does the magic broom fly on?

    Hedgehog:

How is it on what? On songs, of course! Guys, can you help us refuel the broom? Otherwise, I don’t know the words well…

    Guess the melody game

    • Children guess New Year’s songs by saying at least a few words. Those who guess correctly will be awarded small prizes.

    Yozhka:

Well! Let’s fly! Hey, Snow Maiden, hold on to me!

They make a circle around the stage on a broomstick, get off it, look around.

    Yozhka:

Oh… We seem to be lost…

    Snow Maiden

It’s okay, the guys will help us get out. To find the way to a fairy tale, you need to guess all the riddles!

    Game “New Year’s riddles”

    • Children complete the phrase:

    Good in her outfit,

children are always glad to see her,

on the branches of her needle,

calls everyone to a round dance. ..

    (Yolka)

    Ol000 very sonorous…

    (Crackers)

A monkey will wink from the Christmas tree,

    a brown bear will smile;

    hare hanging from cotton wool,

    lollipops and…

    (Chocolates)

    Old old man,

    next to him Snowman,

    Red Kotenka-Pushka

    and large on top …

    (bump)

    There are no colorful outfits:

    Multi-colored garland,

    gilding

    and shiny…

    (Balloons)

    Bright foil flashlight,

    bell and boat,

    train and car,

    snow-white…

    (Snowflake) 0003

    Yolka knows all the surprises

    and wishes everyone fun;

    for happy kids

    light up…

    (Lights)

    Snow Maiden:

Look, Ezhinka! Here comes the path!

    (runs around the Christmas tree)

    Yozhka:

Oh, I wish I had such a girlfriend! And smart, and kind . .. But does she really want to be friends with me now? No, I need to get a candle, without magic I will not have friendship!

    (runs after)

Here, if you wish, you can hold a couple more traditional competitions, dance near the Christmas tree or sing and dance something New Year’s, to choose from.

Koschei and Baba Yaga come out.

    Yaga:

Oh, I’m afraid, Koshcheyushka. I’ll have to give the candle to the nasty girl, otherwise the Blizzard and Snowstorm are bad jokes.

    Koschey:

Nothing, Yaga, don’t be afraid! It didn’t work out to take the candle secretly, let’s take it by cunning. You say two girls are coming here? I will assign them a test, send them to magical ice floes. And you, Yaga, sawed the last one so that the Snow Maiden lost. Your granddaughter will win a magic candle, and we will take it away!

    Yaga:

Take away, take away! Why does she need a candle? Look, she came up with all sorts of nonsense, wants to make friends . .. You need to share everything with friends, help them! Better without them!

    Yozhka and Snegurochka enter.

    Snow Maiden:

    Hello, Koschei!

    Yozhka:

Also say hello to him… Well, hello!

    Koschey:

Hello girls. Are you visiting me or on business?

    Yozhka:

Aha, visit… How! Give me our candle!

    Koschey:

    What kind of candle? I don’t know anything, I don’t remember…

    Snow Maiden:

And it’s not good to lie! And it’s not good to take someone else’s. If you don’t want to return in a good way, we will quarrel seriously!

    Raises a magic icicle:

Winter friends, Blizzards and Blizzards! Rather, fly in, help us out of trouble. Help the Snow Maiden, take away my gift from the villain! Oh… something is not flying…

    Yozhka:

Probably busy. It’s winter! Nothing, we can handle it ourselves. Guys! Come on, take the snowballs, help us!

The children are sorting out paper snowballs that have been laid out along the edge of the stage and throwing them at Koshchei.

    Koshchei:

Ai! Ouch! Enough! It’s cold! OK OK! Get your candle! But whose is she?

    Snow Maiden:

    Like whose? Mine, of course!

    Yozhka:

But no! I want magic too! Grandpa will give you another miracle, Snow Maiden, but without this candle, my most cherished desire will not come true!

    Koschey:

Well, then here are two paths of magical ice cubes, but not simple ones, but with tasks. Whoever gets to the candle – let him take it, I’m kind now.

    Snow Maiden:

    Guys, can you help me?

    Yozhka:

Me too! Please! I so want to make friends!

    Magic ice floes competition

    • Yaga lays out two paths of paper ice floes around the stage with tasks that lead to a candle.
    • To help the Snow Maiden and the Hedgehog, children perform various tasks: read a poem about winter, sing a song about the New Year, dance a little New Year’s dance, name films and fairy tales about winter, answer questions about the New Year, Santa Claus and Santa Claus, guess riddles, name treats for the New Year’s table, etc.
    • It is better that the tasks are not repeated, but the number of ice floes should be such that the Snow Maiden gets to the candle first.

The Snow Maiden reaches for the candle, “slips” on the ice floe and “falls” off it.

    Snow Maiden:

    Ah!

    Koschey:

Yeah, I lost! Yozhka, take the candle!

Yozhka takes a candle, turns it in his hands, looks back at the Snow Maiden.

    Snow Maiden:

Take it, Ezhinka! You honestly won it, you really need magic more …

    Yozhka:

Well, a magic candle – here it is! And still no joy. I did not want to offend the Snow Maiden. I just wanted… Oh, okay! On, Snow Maiden! This is your gift!

Gives the candle to the Snow Maiden, walks slowly across the stage.

    Baba Yaga and Koschei:

What are you talking about! Don’t give up! Stupid girl!

Snow Maiden catches up with Yozhka.

    Snow Maiden:

Hedgehog, wait! What do you want from a candle?

    Yozhka:

Nothing like that… Just to make friends with someone. It’s boring in the forest alone, you can’t talk heart to heart with squirrels and hares, or play …

    Snow Maiden:

So I also wanted to make a wish about my friend! Grandpa is good, but in his palace there are only blizzards and blizzards. And let’s just be friends, without any candle!

    Yozhka:

    Is it true? Let’s!

    Koschei:

Well, since you no longer need the candle, you can give it to us.

    Baba Yaga:

Yes, give it back. We’ll put it to good use!

They step on the Snow Maiden and the Hedgehog, they back away. Santa Claus enters.

    Santa Claus:

So-so! Who’s in charge of someone else’s property here? Here I am you!

    Koschey and Yaga:

Don’t! We are good! Yes, we were… joking…

Snow Maiden and Yozhka are whispering, then turning to Father Frost.

    Yozhka:

Grandpa, can we have one wish for two?

    Santa Claus:

One? Well, since you’re friends, then you can. Friends share everything and help each other. Say your desire and light the Christmas tree, it is the last one left for this year!

    Snow Maiden and Yozhka

May Koschey and Baba Yaga become kind! And may everyone who celebrates the New Year have their most cherished desire come true! Christmas tree, light up!

    Father Frost:

These are already two wishes! But if the guys also sincerely wish with you, the power of New Year’s magic will surely fulfill everything. Wish guys? Well, all together! Christmas tree, light up!

Children repeat in chorus. The Snow Maiden and the Hedgehog, holding hands, “light” the Christmas tree.

    Koshchei:

Forgive us, we won’t do it again! We are ashamed… We also want to celebrate!

    Baba Yaga:

Oh, what have I done. I offended my granddaughter, and the Snow Maiden too … Granddaughter, forgive me. And I’ll bake a cake for you and the Snow Maiden, and invite guests… Now you can have some fun! Happy New Year guys! With new happiness! I invite everyone to our magical New Year’s disco!

Then you can arrange a costume contest or just a festive disco, listen to children’s poems, give gifts – everything that is enough desire and imagination.

Free Pre-Writing Printables – The Kindergarten Connection

This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. View our full disclosure policy here.

Learning to write doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t start with the ABC’s. Before kids can form letters, they need to practice using writing tools and making basic writing strokes. These free pre-writing printables give kids practice with common strokes that are found in letters, and can be used in many different ways!

*Pair with our Alphabet Phonics Writing Activities!

    Pre-Writing Printables

I like to start the school year with these pre-writing printables either as morning work or at the beginning of writers workshop. You could also send them home for practice or use them as centers or in small groups.

Some of my students may already write, however, I find that practice with common strokes can really help their neatness and letter formation down the road.

We trace curves, diagonals, zig-zags, and more! There are 13 pages of pre-writing printables!

We use crayons, markers – any writing tool will work.

While pencils are of course the most common writing tool, I find that with these types of practice pages, it is far more engaging for kids to use a variety of writing tools such as skinny markers, crayons, or other fun items that are used only for “special activities” like this.

Plus, they are still getting practice with pencil grip, but it is just more fun to see marker or crayon strokes show up than pencil! They also love making the pages colorful.

For some added fun, and to save on paper, I put these pre-writing printables in dry erase pocket sleeves. This lets me use them during centers or in small groups over and over again without needing endless copies!

My kids LOVE when I bring out the dry erase markers – for some reason that makes every task instantly more enjoyable!

    Handwriting Practice – Kindergarten – Grade 1

TRACEABLE LETTERS PRINTED ON EACH LINE
    12-15 letters typical for Portrait
mode –  16-22 letters typical for Landscape Mode

Type a few words – a group of letters or short sentence in the space below.
Click “Make Worksheet” and watch the magic!

    Back to
    Main Index

DIRECTIONS:  Type child’s name – phrase – or short sentence
above.  Click the “Make Worksheet” button and the program automatically creates a full sized practice worksheet.   If letters do not fit on one line, try switching to LANDSCAPE mode.  This basic Kindergarten handwriting style teaches “true” printing
skills.  It is also the letter style most often used in early elementary
reading books, thereby increasing visual word memorization leading to improved
reading ability.    Letters will print at the larger 3/4 inch size but will print smaller if you have many letters on one line. There are 6
rows of letters created in this handwriting program.  The first 5 rows are traceable
letters.  The 6th row gives a “starting dot” for each letter to see if
students can successfully write letters on their own.  12-15 letters
typically fit on one line when printing in the normal PORTRAIT mode.  16-22
letters can fit on one line if switching to LANDSCAPE mode.  To print using
LANDSCAPE mode (widest side horizontal), make your worksheet above – then go to
the upper left of your screen and select – FILE – PRINT – PROPERTIES –
LANDSCAPE.  While the general rule of
thumb is that bigger letters are easier to trace, this is not always the case
since very large letters require significantly increased movement and hand
flexibility – sometimes beyond a child’s capability.  If your child has
trouble with these large letters, try the smaller letters from the index.

But this did not happen. Roosevelt won, and his statements immediately after the November 6 presidential election left no doubt about the course of his future policy: at the first convenient moment, stand next to England in the fight against Hitler. Not against Germany, namely against Hitler. German intelligence, which feels very at ease in the United States (the FBI monitors them, but does not detain anyone because of the softness of peacetime laws in the United States. On the very first day of the war, the entire German intelligence network in the United States will be liquidated), reports interesting details. Until now, for the entire flow of cargo that has poured from the United States to England since the beginning of the war, the British paid in cash, and now, in terms of dollar resources, Great Britain was on the verge of bankruptcy. It was obvious that England could not continue the fight without receiving supplies from the United States. But under American “pay cash and carry” law, she couldn’t get any supplies without dollars. And so Roosevelt, almost the day after his third election to the presidency, according to intelligence, said: “We will provide the British with everything necessary for waging war on rent or on loan.

Roosevelt used the English word “lend-lease”, and then Hitler did not get the full sinister meaning of this completely peaceful word.

But he well understood that his hopes for the rapid exhaustion of England were unrealizable, and it was foolish to wait until the United States was exhausted.

The scheme for Hitler was clear: Roosevelt stood behind Churchill, which he did not think about in September 1939, and the Jews stood behind Roosevelt. And this means that at any moment he will have the United States as an adversary in the war, knowing full well that he will never win such a war, where England and the USA act in an alliance. Although it will somehow be possible to draw it if the country does not panic, as in 1918 year.

Every morning Hitler expected some new surprises from Roosevelt. In the ports of Germany and the countries occupied by it, there were many merchant ships flying the Stars and Stripes flag. Hitler was waiting for a message that some American merchant ship had blown up in one of the German ports along with the entire crew.

Was he afraid of this? Oh no!

It pissed him off that he clearly saw the threat, but could do nothing to prevent it. On September 28 of this year, Roosevelt pushed the conscription law through Congress and received $4,800,000,000 for a “defensive measures program” that included building so many ships and planes that it was breathtaking. Recently (November 8), speaking in Munich, Hitler was forced to admit: “As for the size of production in America, they cannot even be expressed in astronomical figures. Therefore, in this area, I do not intend to compete with America. And if he does not intend to compete with America in the field of arms production, then in what way can he compete?

Its designers were not able to create a serial model of a strategic bomber, and America has already built thousands of such machines. They are already secretly concentrating in England, and the concept of strategic bombing of Germany is being developed at the headquarters and all calculations are being made to destroy the entire German industry within one and a half to two years.

Hitler understood that these were not mere threats. England has lost many battles in its history, but has never lost a war. Especially now, when behind her back the powerful silhouette of the United States is becoming more and more clear, not vulnerable to any means of attack that Hitler possesses. It cannot be said that the Fuhrer made no effort to prevent the US threat to Germany. Immediately after coming to power, bewildered (like many others) by the possibilities offered by American democracy, Hitler became obsessed with the idea of ”Germanizing” the United States. The idea was based on the fact that in any encyclopedia it was possible to obtain data on the residence of 30 million people of German origin in the United States. Almost half of what lives in Germany itself – 30 million! It is enough to overthrow the government of the United States, and appoint a Gauleiter to rule the country – either sent from Berlin or from Americans of German origin.

By the end of 1940, when the law on conscription was adopted in the USA and on September 5, the American government handed over 50 (fifty) destroyers to the British, allegedly in exchange for some British bases in the Western Hemisphere, Berlin realized that the United States simpler and cheaper methods of influence should be used.

On September 12, a massive explosion rocked the state of New Jersey. The gunpowder factory of the Hercules company in Kenville exploded. 52 people died, 50 were seriously injured. The loss was estimated at several million dollars.

It was like a start. Then there was a pause – in Berlin they were waiting for the results of the elections.

When Roosevelt was re-elected president for the third time on November 5 and everyone in Berlin realized that their truly titanic efforts and huge money had gone to dust, they decided to congratulate the US president with a powerful salute from several sabotage organizations at once.

November 12, 1940, with a difference of 20 minutes, deafening explosions thundered at three military factories in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In Woodbridge, New Jersey, explosions destroyed two factory buildings of a company that produces torpedoes and communications equipment for the needs of the US Navy. In Edinburgh (Pennsylvania), the gunpowder factory of the American Cyanamid and Chemical Corporation exploded, and in Alentown (also in Pennsylvania), the gunpowder factory of the Trojan Powder company was destroyed by an explosion. 16 people died, many were injured. Explosions occurred at 8:00, 8:10 and 8:20 in the morning. Commenting on these events, Secretary of War Henry Stimson noted that all this “suggests Teutonic methodality.”

The sabotage campaign, which replaced the propaganda one, no longer set itself the goal of a radical change in the course of the foreign policy of the United States. By the very beginning of such actions, the Germans, as it were, acknowledged their defeat, setting smaller tasks for their agents – to inflict the maximum possible damage on a potential enemy even before the official start of hostilities, bringing them closer with each new sabotage and making them completely inevitable.

The September 27 pact between Germany, Italy and Japan, binding them to joint action if any of these powers were attacked by a state not yet involved in the war, was clearly directed against the United States, but served small consolation due to the complete worthlessness of the Italians and the Asian unreliability of the Japanese.

There are interesting, almost mystical parallels in the fate of Hitler and Roosevelt. The same day in January was celebrated by both: for Hitler it was the day of his appointment as Chancellor of Germany, for Roosevelt it was his birthday. Just one day separated them on March 1933 years, when both received the right to power: the day of Roosevelt’s inauguration coincided with the vote in the Reichstag, which gave Hitler dictatorial powers.

For 12 years, Roosevelt and Hitler led the world’s two greatest powers, spending the first six years leading their countries out of their deepest depression. For the next six years, they led their countries’ war efforts in deadly combat with each other. And both died in April 1945, 18 days apart, at the very end of a war that Roosevelt won and Hitler lost. Apparently, the law of world balance is all-encompassing, and in the event of crises that threaten the very existence of a fragile human civilization, leaders appear almost simultaneously in confronting superpowers, charged with almost the same amount of dynamic energy aimed at achieving world hegemony. Indeed, Hitler dreamed of the “Germanization” of the world, which included the physical destruction of some peoples, the transformation of other peoples into second-class people with hegemony over the world of the German race. Stalin dreamed of the “Sovietization” of the world, which required the physical destruction of some classes of society and the transformation of the surviving classes into an obedient crowd of slaves of a classless society with hegemony over the world of the party nomenclature. Everyone knows this, and there is nothing new in it. But few people pay attention to the fact that Roosevelt acted in the name of “Americanization” of the world, regardless of what he said. We won’t go into details. Hitler and Stalin also spoke many convincing and beautiful phrases. But facts are stubborn things. Hitler’s dream collapsed under the power of the Allies. Stalin’s dream, rotten to the ground, collapsed. And the process of “Americanization” of the world continues at a colossal pace.

My main goal with my students is to foster a general love for learning that persists beyond a specific test,…

    Reviews of primary school tutors

Excellent tutor!!! The child walks with pleasure. Amazing results in 2 months! We are preparing for school, the child hardly read or wrote. Now he can confidently go to school with excellent results! Highly recommend!

Natalya Sergeevna is a teacher with a capital letter, a true professional in her field! I found an approach to the child – there were close emotional ties! In his work he uses different methods and approaches. I hope for our further cooperation, the same fruitful and productive!

They turned to Olesya, because she found her daughter had difficulties/fear with adding/subtracting large numbers (at that time, her daughter went to the 2nd grade). Now classes have unfortunately stopped, as the child completes his studies at the “primary school” and goes to secondary school.
The classes were fun, interesting, my daughter always looked forward to them, for her classes with Olesya are a holiday / vacation.
The result of the classes: my daughter is no longer afraid of big numbers, she is studying for five!

    Primary classes

Anna Alexandrovna is an excellent teacher, an attentive and punctual person. We are pleased with her work. She knows how to find the right approach to the child and interest in classes. Daughter enjoys doing it. Our top recommendation for a specialist.

Primary school students perceive school in different ways: for
For some, this is a platform where you can express yourself and gain knowledge, for others
source of stress, anxiety, negative emotions. Teachers and parents demand
discipline, organization, responsibility, good grades, and the child
I want to play and spend time with my friends. Adults should help the young
schoolchildren to understand a simple truth – everything can be done if it is reasonable to combine
study and leisure. Some children manage to achieve this on their own, while others
It is necessary to learn how to do homework and rationally allocate time.
Of course, parents can teach their child to prepare for lessons, but their patience
    not long enough.

    Primary school curriculum
    classrooms

Modern school programs are much more complicated than a couple
decades ago. Technology is advancing, new methods are being actively introduced
into everyday reality. To become a first grader, children are required not to
not only knowledge of letters and numbers, but also the ability to read fluently, counting skills and
text retelling. Even in the most ordinary schools, the primary school program
requires serious efforts from students, and this can be helped by children precisely
    additional lessons.

    Follow
It should be noted that teaching methods may differ even within the same
educational institution. Often on the same parallel there are classes of several
    types:

    general education;

    developing;

    specialized education in certain subjects.

    Variety
educational and methodological complexes is designed to open wide opportunities for
parents who can be determined in which direction to teach the child. But
often the choice is made without taking into account the capabilities of the preschooler.

    Why private lessons are needed

    Understanding
reasons for the failure of primary school students should initially be divided
    them into two categories:

    psychological;

    educational.

    First
type – these are problems associated with the personality and fears (phobias) of the child.
For example, the kid was limited in communication with peers and did not attend kindergarten.
Then at school it will be very difficult for him to join the team. Lack of skills
communication almost always leads to the fact that the student is afraid to respond to
lessons, closes in on itself. An individual teacher will not only teach, but also help
solve the psychological problems of the child with social adaptation in the classroom
    team.

    Large
the amount of information received at school can become
a source of anxiety that develops into stress. Child can’t handle array
data, it needs time for the brain to learn to process incoming
intelligence. And again, the only way out is a tutor who will teach you how to
correctly memorize information and store the acquired knowledge.

    K
educational reasons for underachievement include high expectations
parents who send a preschooler to a pro-gymnasium class. If the child is not
shows outstanding mathematical or linguistic ability, but
this is determined in profile training, then only regular additional
classes can solve the problem with academic performance.

A Place to Grow: Bartlett Park District Preschool

Looking for a place for your child to flourish? The Bartlett Park District preschool is a DCFS licensed program that serves children from ages three to five. This recreational program provides an environment where your child will foster their unique growth through play-based learning. We strongly believe in meeting the needs of the whole child and provide a curriculum that will prepare your child for later school success. Our goal is to plan daily experiences that will help your child grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in a fun and safe environment.

Our classrooms are located in the Preschool Wing of the Bartlett Community Center. We welcome you and your child to visit our school and explore our classrooms. Tours are by appointment only. Please contact our Preschool Coordinator at 630-540-4853 if you are interested in setting up a tour.

The first days of preschool are very big steps for you and your child to take. Helping you and your child to be best prepared to reach this milestone is key to your child’s success. To make the transition a little easier you may want to try some of these suggestions:

    • Reading picture books about Preschool can help to lessen apprehensions and help your child develop positive feelings about school.
    • Practice self-help skills to build self-esteem. Let your child do things for themselves.
    • Participate in social activities prior to beginning Preschool that are designed to gradually ease your child towards independence (being away from parent / caregiver) and being in larger group settings.
    • Join classes or events that are shorter lengths of time so your child gets accustomed to structured activities such as story time and following directions on a small scale.
    • Attend library story times (check out the Bartlett Library), parent / tot music classes (see the BPD website and Nature Center) or special events where other young children attend to begin socializing.
    • Take advantage of other opportunities to leave your child in a safe environment without you, such as a babysitter / grandparent for a short periods of time.
    • If your family speaks more than one language but rarely speak English, begin practicing speaking English at home so that your child can communicate with their teachers and peers. Have your child speak / respond in English to you so they feel comfortable in expressing themselves and their wants / needs. Learning / knowing multiple languages is wonderful and they will not forget their home language.
    • Toilet independence is required prior to starting Preschool (pull-ups or diapers cannot be worn in class). Teach your child to dress and undress accordingly and to perform the process on their own, which will in turn make them feel more confident.

Bartlett, Frederick Charles (1886-1969), English psychologist,
specialist in problems of experimental psychology of thinking,
    perception and
memory, military psychology. Biography. Professor of Experimental Psychology at
universities of Cambridge (since 1931) and London. Director of Psychological
laboratories in Cambridge. Research. One of the first to show that the process
memorization is not reproductive, but constructive, and is based on the creation
internal image (scheme) of the environment. He explored the natural situation
memorization of meaningful material (memory-story). It was experimental
it is shown that memorization is never literal, that strategies
memorization is due to the desire to make recall easier, which, when
memorization, emphasis is placed on certain points that are recognized
the most important. The main content is remembered, and the details, specific
descriptions transform and disappear, although they can be reconstructed, but more often
everything is wrong. On this basis, it was postulated that memory is based on
two active processes: on the perception of new information (listening, reading,
watching) and active playback. In this case, the information is transformed into two
times – at the time of receipt and at the time of reproduction. Functions and memory structure
Bartlett considered in the context of culture, recognizing a large role for social
organization of human memory. As S. L. Rubinshtein, F. Ch. Bartlett emphasized
gave a subjectivist understanding of memory, emphasizing the moment of imagination in it; V
the opposite of this in Soviet psychology is the reconstruction of the content of memory
is understood primarily as a conscious attitude to the process of reproduction,
based on rational thinking, which provides comparison
restored content with what should be (Rubinshtein S. L. Fundamentals
    general psychology: In 2 t. M .: Pedagogy, 1989. Vol. 1).

Bartlett Frederick Charles (1886-1969) – English psychologist,
specialist in the field of experimental, cognitive and social psychology.
Author of the theory of the influence of social factors on human memory. B. since childhood
was engaged in self-education in the library; Graduated from the London Correspondence College
un-ta (Master of Sociology and Ethics) and Cambridge University (Master, Moral
Sciences). Early became interested in social anthropology and at 1914 became deputy. head
Psychological laboratory at the University of Cambridge and lecturer
experimental psychology. In 1922, after the resignation of Meyers, he received the title
assistant professor and becomes head. by this laboratory. In 1923 he publishes the first
monograph: “Psychology and Primitive Culture”. From 1924 to 1948 – B.
permanent editor of the British Journal of Psychology. However, soon B.
changes the direction of his research, switching from purely theoretical
questions to where there were unresolved practical problems. Abandoning
sociology and anthropology, he took up the experimental psychology of perception and
memory. At 1931 B. — first professor of experimental psychology
University of Cambridge. In 1932 he became a member. Royal Society, Dr.
of Law, Doctor of Natural Sciences, Doctor of Philology and Doctor of Psychology. In the same
published his fundamental monograph “Remembering: A Study in
Experimental and Social Psychology” (1932), in which he analyzes the results
experiments on the influence of social factors on memory. When examining memory
and studying the influence of past experience on the assimilation of new material B. refused
using meaningless words, replacing them with meaningful ones
annoying words. With this step he broke with the German tradition,
whose representatives rejected introspection. Having analyzed the experimental
data for fifteen years, B. convincingly demonstrated that people are constantly
transform facts. The new experience acquired by people changes the scheme of perception, this
provides a dynamic structure or model in which the
experienced present. Subsequently, B. rarely turned to this theory,
leaving other scientists to use it in their research. For some
time he generally left academic psychology in ergonomics. At the beginning of the second
World War B. as part of the Research Committee of the Royal Air Force
participated in the analysis of psychological problems arising from the expansion
air fleet. At 1943 was awarded medals for his work
Royal Society of Bali and Huxley. After the war, B. taught at many high fur boots,
being an honorary doctor of the Athens, Princeton, Lowen, London,
Edinburgh, Oxford and Padua high fur boots. In 1948 he receives
title of nobility, in 1952 awarded the Royal Medal. From 1952 to
end of his days served as a consultant professor at the University of Cambridge
and Medical Research Council Consultant in Applied Psychology.
Early 1950s B. returns to active research.
Being engaged in the analysis of thought processes, he adapted the methods used by him
in the study of memory. Research results led B. to the idea that
thought process represents completion (by interpolation or
extrapolation) of unfinished situations. He developed special
experimental procedures for the systematic use of this idea.
The results were published in the monograph Thinking: An Experimental and Social
Study” (1958), which reflected both his personal experience and ideas about
anthropology, sociology and philosophy. B. occupies a prominent place in history
English psychology. Having headed a small laboratory in 1922, 30 years later
he already supervised more than 70 employees, and most of the most important
psychological research carried out in England in the middle of the 20th century,
belong to his students. B. is also the author of the monograph: “The Problem of Noise”,
    Cambridge, 1934.

    Frederick Charles Bartlett (1886-1969)

    Added by Psychology OnLine. Net

From childhood, Bartlett was engaged in self-education in the library. He took an early interest in social anthropology and in 1914 became deputy head of the Psychological Laboratory in Cambridge, a teacher of experimental psychology, and at 1922, after the resignation of Meyers, became head of the laboratory. Bartlett twice changed the direction of his interests, switching from purely theoretical issues to where there were unresolved practical problems. He initially abandoned sociology and anthropology in favor of an experimental psychology of perception and memory, and then moved from academic psychology to ergonomics.

Bartlett is best known for his research on memory and social psychology, and especially for his book Remembering (1932), where he analyzes the results of experiments on the influence of social factors on memory. Unlike modern methods of using nonsense words, Bartlett used meaningful stimulus words to study the influence of past experience on the assimilation of new material. This led to a break with the German tradition, which did not rely on introspection. This work is remarkable in that the data collected and analyzed in it cover a period of approximately fifteen years. Bartlett convincingly demonstrated that people constantly transform facts. In the light of new experiences, the schema changes—this provides a dynamic structure or model in which the experienced present is interpreted. Bartlett rarely addressed this theory in his subsequent work, leaving it to other scientists to exploit its theoretical advantages.

At the start of the Second World War, Bartlett, as a member of the RAF Study Committee, was involved in analyzing the psychological problems that arose during the expansion of the air fleet. His close contacts with Kenneth Craik, who came to the Cambridge Laboratory in 1936, contributed greatly to this. Later, Bartlett adapted the methods he used in the study of memory to the analysis of thought processes. He came up with the idea that the thought process is the completion (by interpolation or extrapolation) of unfinished situations, and developed experimental procedures for the systematic use of this idea.

    Basylta

Traditionally, in our kindergarten, we bake “Basylta” for the Old New Year!
The teacher for teaching the Ossetian language Gagieva Lamzira Valerianovna, together with the teachers of the preparatory group, conducted the lesson “Basylta”! She showed the children how to work with the dough, and also told them for what purpose they were molded. On the Old New Year in Ossetia, they went from house to house, caroling! And they called them “Hadzaronta”! The hosts, in turn, treated them to such cookies! Our “Basylta” turned out to be very tasty, as the children put their soul into them!!! nine0004

A beautifully decorated hall, an elegant Christmas tree, magnificent costumes, gifts, Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden and many other fairy-tale characters were waiting for the children of the kindergarten. The preschool children of the younger groups plunged into the fairy-tale world, where they were met by the Snow Maiden and Santa Claus. Joyful and unforgettable for the children was a meeting with a sparkling Christmas tree. The guys dressed in carnival costumes took part in games and fun with pleasure, led round dances, danced, recited poems and sang songs. They had fun from the heart At the end of the morning performances, the children communicated with Grandfather Frost with pleasure, told their secrets and desires, shared their successes.

    Autumn holidays

From October 11 to October 12, autumn matinees were held in the kindergarten.

It is slushy and cold outside, but in our hall there was a warm, friendly atmosphere. “Autumn” looked in on the children of all groups, swirled the children in a beautiful dance with leaves, charmed them with their bright decoration, started a cheerful round dance with them. The participants of the holiday demonstrated their skills in singing, dancing, reciting poetry, guessing riddles. Children not only sang songs loudly, but also acted out skits, participated in fun competitions. And of course, what is a holiday without refreshments? Autumn brought its gifts to children.
    nine0004

Children’s autumn holidays are smiles and fun, although they say that autumn is a dull time, but children, like no other, are able to enjoy golden fallen leaves and rain. That is why the autumn holiday in kindergarten is one of the most favorite among children!

Such an event is the Victory Day of our great people over Nazi Germany in 1945. In order to ensure that there is not a single doubt in the hearts of the younger generation about the correctness, justice and significance of this day, events dedicated to the celebration of the Great Patriotic War are held in our kindergarten from year to year. nine0003

On the Old New Year, the teacher for teaching the Ossetian language Gagieva Lamzira Valerianovna held the planned entertainment event “Hadzaront” in three groups! Due to the epidemiological situation, we did not visit each other this year. But they were happy to resolve the issue. In each group, the children were divided into two subgroups: one group of children were “hosts” and the other “guests”. The Ossetian expert told the children about the traditions of holding the Old New Year in Ossetian families. The kids had a fun, but rewarding time. They read poems, sang songs, danced round dances! They also played various Ossetian games. The boys really liked the game “Papakha”! And the girls were delighted with the game “Who is more beautiful and faster to swaddle a doll?”. This year we had a new character, the hero “Kulbadag Us”, she played her role very well and gave the children a state of magic at the holiday!

A bright and unforgettable alliance – Children, parents, teachers and the creative association “Portal”.

On one of the beautiful days, we held a joint holiday “Iumӕ”, in which adults and children participated. Everything happened on the territory of the Art space. Here, parents and children got acquainted with the work of young people, and the artists and musicians of the Portal with the work of our children. At this time, parents with some of the girls from the preparatory group baked Ossetian pies and, after the grand “Simda”, treated all the guests. This day will be remembered for a long time by each participant of the event.

We also practice the continuous care model, where our students stay with the same teacher for as long as possible- often years.
We would love to add “just the right people” to grow our team in this rapidly growing and expanding business….

    Recent Review:

It didn’t really matter that I bent over backwards for Haley and Anna . Being a hard worker coming in my days off and being the person that paid for and planned baby showers and Birthdays went unnoticed. When Icommented to management that there was too much gossip and negativity well that meant it was time for me to be fired. It’s confusing as a Christian to see unchristian like behavior by a center that professes to be the LIGHT. .. I wasn’t a favorite I guess because I wanted to see more work done by lazy teachers….
