Description:

At Auntie Penny’s you receive 25 years of daycare experience run by a mother of 5 (all grown). I am licensed in the State of Michigan (DG820080196) meaning I am trained in CPR, First Aid and Blood BornePathogens and my home has passed inspection.
I believe a child can have a great day of fun and still be learning. Our home is always decorated for the season. Young children learn visually. Seeing new things promotes questions and new vocabulary. They learn the cycle of life with the seasons. We do daily projects or manipulatives (such as puzzles or building blocks) and have outdoor play. When it’s very cold or raining we play in my 3 car garage, safe from the weather.
Happy tummies make happy children. I belong to the Association for Child Development and provide home-cooked, balanced meals including breakfast, lunch and p.m. snack. I also share recipes with my parents and let them know when their children enjoyed a new food. This summer fresh gazpacho soup-made from garden veggies, was a big hit! They pushed aside their lunch and ate their soup first, asking for more.
We had an “Apple Tasting Party” and put a star on each apple we liked….they liked them all, red delicious, golden delicious, granny smith and gala.
I want your child to feel loved and happy so when you see them after 5 p.m. you’ll have an enjoyable evening. Don’t be surprised when they ask to go to Aunt Penny’s on the weekend! My daycare parents can put their mind on their jobs because they know their children are very well cared for by my assistant Laura and myself.
We currently have both infant and toddler openings. We use the first and second floors of my 3,000 sq. ft. home. We are NOT in a basement. References are available. Please feel free to call me at my home (734) 340-1080 as I prefer voice communication to text. If you are interested in placing your child with us please call for an evening interview (1 hour of your time) for me to show you my home and review Auntie Penny’s Daycare Inc. policies with you. After the interview you may visit the daycare, with an appointment, to meet the children and see us at our best. We ask that you give us permission to fall in love with your child and them with us. That’s really the only way we can do our best. You become a member of our “Special Daycare Family” and we become honorary “Aunties” to your children. ..until it’s time for them to on to school. We hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting new members to add to our family….

Summer Camp 2022 Information

The Beginners Inn Childcare & Learning Center is a state licensed, family operated facility. Our center has been providing the community with high quality preschool and childcare programs since 1977. In a home like atmosphere your child will feel the warmth and become part of our family. With so many years of experience our parents have peace of mind while their children are enjoying a fun filled learning experience in our year round facility.

We offer care to children starting as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old. We provide care for children on no school days and breaks throughout the school year. During the summer months, programs for our younger children and summer day camp for our children who have completed kindergarten through 12 years old are also available. Our school age programs and summer day camp give parents the luxury of beginning and ending their day with one stop.

We believe that each child is a unique individual; our center strives to encourage each child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, creative, and social needs by providing a variety of experiences throughout each day. Our program is semi- structured, offering both the opportunity to work independently, participate in constructive group activities and learn through play.

Our Mission & Our Vision

At Beginners Inn Child Care & Learning Center we strive to develop programs that give children:

The opportunity to develop self-esteem that comes with accomplishment

The imagination that comes with experimentation

The motor control that comes with practice.

We recognize that children grow and develop at different rates and that each child’s developmental rate is separate and distinct from any other child.

Our Vision is Clear

To dedicate ourselves to excellence.

To provide the community with the highest quality childcare program in a clean, safe and homey environment geared toward each child’s individual needs and interests.

To establish a nurturing staff that values and respects the children, their families, different cultures, social backgrounds, and religious beliefs.

Our center strives to encourage each child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, creative and social needs by providing a variety of experiences throughout each day.

Our Basic Goals as Educators:

We believe that each child is a unique individual.

Children need to learn what is expected from them by providing a classroom with organization, rules, and structure.

Giving children responsibilities and setting boundaries throughout each day allows them to explore and develop self-discipline.

Providing children with developmentally age appropriate materials will encourage them to build self-esteem.

Showing children respect, trust and affection daily teaches them to be sensitive towards others in the classroom as well as at home.

Self-satisfaction can be established by providing new materials and objectives that are age appropriate allowing each child to grow individually.

Asking open-ended questions and providing options for children allows them to express themselves, as well as to develop intellectual and social skills.

Providing children with love and guidance allows them to build trusting relations with others.

When children are surrounded in a loving, caring, safe and culturally sensitive atmosphere they will grow at their own pace with experience to develop into their own unique individual.

In Switzerland, preterm infants are considered viable at at least 24-25 weeks’ gestation. Medicine has made a significant leap forward, but even with all the modern achievements, complications often arise in the process of nursing such newborns. |
Malgré le progrès fait ces derniers temps et le fait que les chances de survie des grands prématurés ont fortement augmenté, les risques que ces enfants souffrent par la suite de troubles sévères restent élevés.

The bilingual canton of Valais is the best place in Switzerland for families with children. Keystone/Anthony Anex

“Dear Switzerland” on closer inspection is not as uniform as it seems. Are there regions in the country where low taxes are combined with affordable housing and the best childcare opportunities? They are!

This content was published on May 28, 2021 – 07:00

Russian edition of SWI Swissinfo, Swiss news agency Keystone-SDA / IP

Expats, foreign professionals who have come to Switzerland for a few years of work, love the high salaries and picturesque landscapes of Switzerland, but they often complain about the exorbitant cost of living in this country. However, not all regions of the country are equally expensive for life. Bank Credit Suisse regularly ranks the regions (cantons) of Switzerland depending on the real cost of living.

So are there regions in the country where low taxes are combined with affordable housing and the best childcare opportunities? According to Credit Suisse, the bilingual canton of Valais is the best place for families with children to live, while several cantons in central and eastern Switzerland are the cheapest for all major population groups, i.e. families with children and those without children. couples and singles.

Credit Suisse ranked the small canton of Appenzell Inner (eastern Switzerland) as well as the central Swiss rural cantons of Uri and Glarus in first place in the overall ranking of cantons in terms of their availability in terms of accommodation. But most of the benefits of living in a low-tax canton like the canton of Zug are eaten up by the high cost of living. This is understandable: in a canton with a massive presence of foreign companies, living expenses are involuntarily pulled up to the level of income of global top managers.

Large cities such as Zurich, Geneva and Basel have, along with the canton of Vaud, where food giant Nestlé is headquartered, “below average residential appeal.” “If, when assessing the income remaining after paying all taxes and fees, we take into account family benefits, the real costs of childcare and the tax parameters for specific families, then it becomes clear that, in general, the canton of Valais offers the most favorable living conditions for couples with children” , says Credit Suisse.

“In terms of financial attractiveness for families without children, Geneva ranks last. But for families with children, it is worst of all to live not in Geneva (it is only the second from the end of the rating), but in the canton of Basel-city.” Credit Suisse’s fifth report on the financial attractiveness of living in Switzerland ( Financial Residential AttractivenessExternal link ) consolidates the results of measuring the real disposable incomes of 120,000 households surveyed throughout the country by random sampling.
