Small Steps Daycare introduce children to learning by taking one small step of learning plus playing at a time. Ms. Tanya understands how valuable it is for children to learn and more importantly to engage in play while building concepts to prepare them for the next level of education. American called the police to help her husband, who wanted to commit suicide
, who arrived at the place, shot her husband who called
CollIryville Police Department
,000,0007 ) Alice Hole sued the city and the police officer who killed her husband. This was reported by the local TV channel WMC 5 with a link to Howl’s lawyer Jeffrey Rosenblum. nine0018 On June 3, 2019, Alice Hole called the police because her husband David took a gun and said he would kill himself. David became suicidal amid his depression when he stopped drinking his prescribed medications
According to Vice, referring to the lawsuit, it was not the Crisis Relief Group that is usually sent to those who threaten to end themselves, but special forces. An officer named Austin Waigspack demanded that David drop his gun, and in less than 5 seconds shot him
Jeffrey Rosenblum stated that Alice Hole did not mention the threat to her life when she called the police. He also noted that the day before, she had already called the police because of her husband’s suicidal tendencies. Then the Crisis Aid team arrived and concluded that David did not pose a threat to himself or others : he was angry that his wife called the police, went to her with a gun and did not respond to demands to drop the weapon
A man in camouflage armed with a bow and arrow disarmed four policemen.
According to the Focus Publishing House (German), on Sunday morning a signal was received by the police of the village of Oppernau (4.7 thousand inhabitants) that a suspicious person had been seen in a hut in the forest (Black Forest). nine0018 When the police spotted the suspect, he was at first friendly. He had a bow, arrows and a knife. Some time later, however, he drew a pistol and told the police to lie down on the ground and surrender their weapons, after which he fled into the forest with their weapons. The criminal now has 4 more pistols and 64 rounds of ammunition for them.
(c) Deutsche Presse-Agentur
The area of the forest was surrounded, but despite the search by hundreds of police and special forces, helicopters with thermal imagers, the suspect in the forest has not yet been found (Monday). nine0018 Residents of the village are advised not to go out into the streets, the roads are blocked. Schools and kindergartens are closed.
(c) Deutsche Presse-Agentur
The wanted person has no permanent place of residence and has already been spotted by the police more than once. In his youth (he is now 31 years old), he was brought to trial for violations of the law on the circulation of weapons and ammunition (he was sentenced to 3. 5 years in a juvenile colony) because he shot and seriously wounded a woman with a crossbow.
The suspect has been seen many times in the village looking for odd jobs. nineWhen I re-read Prilepin’s books.
Free Preschool an Option for Some Champaign-Urbana Area Students
Several public school districts in Champaign County offer free preschool to students ages 3-5 who are at risk for developmental delays.
Early childhood programs in Champaign, Urbana, Mahomet, and several rural districts look at a number of factors when considering which students qualify for their programs.
Students can be at-risk due to many factors including socioeconomic status, having a sibling with a disability, receiving early intervention services and support, and more. Each district determines if these factors could affect a student’s learning, pre-academic skills, and social-emotional skills.
Middletown Prairie Elementary offers free preschool to students who qualify. The Mahomet preschool also offers a limited number of tuition-based openings. Photo credit: Kelly Youngblood
While income and home environment are factors on the list, numerous other components are considered including delays in cognitive skills (problem solving, reasoning, following multi-step directions), academic pre-readiness abilities (counting, knowing colors, shapes, recognizing their name), social-emotional skills, motor abilities and speech development.
Parents are encouraged to call their school district to schedule a preschool screening in advance of their child’s third birthday. Most districts have dedicated screening days and will work to get your child seen as close to their third birthday as possible; however, be aware that the number of screening appointments can fill quickly.
Urbana Early Childhood School (2202 E. Washington St., Urbana) enrolls eligible students ages 3-5 living in Urbana District 116. Students attend for 2-1/2 hours per day. To set up a screening appointment, call the school at (217) 384-3616. UECS also houses the CU Early program, serving families with children under the age of 3 in Champaign, Urbana and Mahomet school districts. Staff from CU Early bring free child wellness and school readiness activities to families in their home.
Champaign Early Childhood Center (809 N. Neil St., Champaign) provides free developmental screenings for children residing in Champaign, Savoy or Bondville (the Unit 4 school district). Children ages 3-5 who qualify for free preschool at CECC are placed in classrooms with combined general- and special-education students. Enrollment in the morning or afternoon session is based on the availability of spaces. Parents can call the school at (217) 351-3881 or visit the CECC main office to be placed on their screening list.
The Middletown Preschool Program (1301 S. Bulldog Dr., Mahomet) offers 2-1/2 hours of preschool daily for qualifying children ages 3-5 living within the Mahomet-Seymour school district. To provide typically developing peers in each classroom, limited tuition-based openings are also available. For more information or to schedule a screening time, call (217) 586-5833.
SPECTRUM is a preschool program for children living in rural Champaign County. It has sites in Thomasboro, Philo and St. Joseph. Children ages 3-5 who reside in one of the 10 member districts of the Rural Champaign County Special Education Cooperative (RCCSEC) may receive a quarterly preschool screening to determine eligibility for the program. Contact the SPECTRUM program director at (217) 469-2291 for more information.

Uncle Styopa – Mikhalkov. The full text of the poem – Uncle Styopa
In the house eight fraction one At the outpost of Ilyich There lived a tall citizen, By the name of Kalancha,
By the name of Stepanov And by the name of Stepan himself, Of the regional giants, the chief .
Uncle Styopa was respected For such a height. Uncle Styopa was coming home from work – It was visible from a mile away.
Famously measured steps Two huge legs: Forty-fifth size He bought boots.
He was looking in the market for Greatest boots, He was looking for pants Unbelievable width.
Will buy with grief in half, Will turn to mirrors – All tailor’s work Is coming apart at the seams!
He looked through any fence From the pavement looked into the yard. They raised the barking of the dog: They thought that a thief was climbing.
Took uncle Styopa in the dining room Double lunch for myself. Uncle Styopa went to bed – He put his feet on a stool.
Sitting, he took books from the cupboard. And more than once in the cinema They said to him: – Sit on the floor, You, comrade, don’t care!
But on the other hand, he went to the stadium for free: They let Uncle Styopa through – They thought he was a champion.
From gate to gate He knew all the people in the district, Where Stepanov works, Where he is registered, How he lives,
Because everyone is faster, Without much difficulty He removed the kite for the guys From the telegraph wires.
And someone who is small in stature, Raised him at the parade, Because everyone should See the army of the country.
Everyone loved Uncle Styopa, Respected Uncle Styopa: He was the best friend All the guys from all yards.
He hurries home from the Arbat. — How are you? the guys shout. He sneezes – the guys in chorus: – Uncle Styopa, be healthy!
Uncle Styopa early in the morning Quickly jumped up from the sofa, Opened the windows wide, Take a cold shower. Brush your teeth Uncle Styopa Never forgot.
A man is sitting in a saddle, He is dragging his feet along the ground – This is Uncle Styopa On a donkey along the boulevard. – You, – people shout to Stepan, – You need to ride a camel!
He rode a camel – People choke with laughter: – Hey, comrade, where are you from? You will crush the camel! You, with your height, You need to ride an elephant!
Two minutes for Uncle Styopa It remains before the jump. He stands under a parachute And a little worried. And below the people are laughing: The tower wants to jump from the tower!
Into the shooting gallery, under a low canopy, Uncle Styopa barely climbed in. – Allow me to ask, I pay for the shots. This ball and this bird I want to aim!
Looking anxiously at the shooting gallery, The cashier says in response: – You will have to kneel, Dear comrade, get up – You can reach the targets Without a gun with your hand!
Until the morning in the alleys of the park It will be fun and bright, The music will roar, The audience will make noise.
Uncle Styopa asks the cashier: – I came to the carnival. Give me such a mask, So that no one will recognize!
– It’s quite easy to recognize you, – There is a friendly laugh, – We recognize you by your height: You, comrade, are above all!
What happened? What is that scream? – It’s a student drowning! He fell off the cliff into the river – Help the man! Before the eyes of all the people Uncle Styopa climbs into the water.
– This is extraordinary! – Everyone shouts to him from the bridge. – You, comrade, are knee-deep All deep places!
Alive, healthy and unharmed Boy Vasya Borodin.
Uncle Styopa this time Saved a drowning man.
For a noble deed Everyone thanks him. – Ask for anything – they say to Uncle Styopa.
– I don’t need anything – I saved him for free!
The locomotive is flying, buzzing, The driver is looking ahead. Driver at halt The stoker says:
– From the station to the station I made a lot of flights, But I’m ready to argue – This is a new semaphore.
Drive up to the semaphore. What is deception? No semaphore – Stepan is standing by the way.
He stands and says: – Here the path is blurred by the rains. I deliberately raised my hand – Show that the path is closed.
What is that smoke above your head? What’s with the thunder on the pavement? The house is burning around the corner, One hundred onlookers are standing around. The team puts up ladders, Saves the house from fire. The whole attic is already on fire, Pigeons are fighting in the window.
In the yard in a crowd of guys They say to Uncle Styopa: – Will our pigeons burn down together with the house ?
Uncle Styopa from the sidewalk Gets to the attic. Through the fire and smoke of the fire His hand reaches out.
He opens the window.
Eighteen doves fly out of the window, And behind them is a sparrow.
Everyone is grateful to Stepan: He saved the birds, and therefore Become a firefighter immediately Everyone advises him.
But in response to the firemen Stepanov says: — No! I’ll go to serve in the Navy, If I’m tall enough.
Laughter and whispering in the corridor, Rumbling of speeches in the corridor. In the office – Uncle Styopa On examination by doctors.
He is standing. Bend over him The sister asks politely. – We can’t reach! Doctors explain.—
Everything, from sight to hearing, We examine you: Does the ear hear well, Does the eye see far.
They examined Uncle Styopa, They took him to the scales And they said: — In this body the heart beats like a clock! Growth is great, but nothing – Let’s accept him into the army!
But you’re not fit to be a tanker: You won’t fit in a tank! And unfit for infantry: You can be seen from the trench!
With your height in an airplane It is inconvenient to be in flight: Your legs will get tired – You have nowhere to put them!
For people like you There are no horses, And the Navy needs you – Serve the country!
– I am ready to serve the people, – Stepin’s bass is heard, – I will go into fire and water! Send even now!
Winter and summer have passed. And winter came again. – Uncle Styopa, how are you? Where are you? There is no answer from the sea, No postcards, no letters…
And one day past the bridge To the house eight fraction one Uncle’s height A citizen is moving.
Who, comrades, is familiar With this prominent sailor? He walks, Snowflakes creak Under his heel.
Pleated uniform trousers, He is wearing an overcoat under the belt. Hands in woolen gloves, Anchors glitter on him.
Here is a sailor coming to the house, Unfamiliar to all the guys. And the guys here to him They say: – And who are you to?
Uncle Styopa turned around, Raised his hand to the visor And answered: — I returned. Gave a vacation to a sailor.
Didn’t sleep at night. Tired from the road. Not used to dry feet. I’ll have a rest. I’ll put on a jacket. I’ll sit on the sofa, Come in after tea – I’ll tell you a hundred stories!
About the war and the bombing, About the big battleship “Marat”, How I was slightly wounded, Defending Leningrad.
And now the guys are proud – Pioneers, Octobrists – That they are familiar with Uncle Styopa, With a real sailor.
He goes home from the Arbat. — How are you? the guys shout. And now the guys call Uncle Styopa Lighthouse.
——
Who doesn’t know Uncle Styopa? Uncle Styopa is familiar to everyone! Everyone knows that Uncle Styopa Was once a sailor.
That he once lived a long time ago At the outpost of Ilyich. And that he bore a nickname: Uncle Styopa – Kalancha.
And now among the giants, Those that the whole country knows, Stepan Stepanov is alive and well – Former naval foreman.
He walks around the district From yard to yard, And again he has shoulder straps on, With a pistol holster.
He is wearing a cockade on his cap, He is wearing an overcoat under his belt, The coat of arms of the country shines on the buckle – The sun is reflected in it!
He comes from the department, And some pioneer The mouth opened in amazement: “That’s how mi-li-chi-o-ner!”
Uncle Styopa is respected Everyone, from adults to children, They meet – they see off with a look And they say with a smile:
– Yes, yes! People of this height are not easy to meet! Yes! Such a young man new form to face! If he stands at his post, Everyone will see a mile away! —
Traffic jam near the square — A traffic light broke down: The yellow light came on, Still no green light…
One hundred cars are standing, honking — They want to start moving. Three, four, five minutes They are not given passage.
Here Uncle Styopa says to the employee of ORUD : – What, brother, is it bad? The traffic light is not on!
From a glass round booth A voice is heard in response: — Stepanov, I’m not in the mood for a joke! What should I do, give me some advice!
Stepan did not argue — He took out a traffic light with his hand, Looked into the middle, Tucked something somewhere…
At the same moment The right light came on. Traffic restored, No traffic jams!
The guys told us, That Stepan has been since then The kids in Moscow have nicknamed: Uncle Styopa – Traffic light.
——
What happened? At station , a boy of five is crying. He lost his mother in the hall. How can I find her now?
Everyone calls the police, And she’s right there!
Uncle Styopa slowly Raises the baby, Raises him above himself, Above himself and above the crowd Under the high ceiling: — Look around, son!
And the boy saw: right, At the pharmacy stall, Mother wipes her tears, Lost son.
Mom hears Colin’s voice: — Mom! Mother! That’s where I am! — Uncle Styopa was pleased: “The family didn’t break up!”
——
There was a student coming from school – A well-known mischief-maker. He wanted to quarrel, But he didn’t know where to start.
Two girlfriends were walking from school – Talkers in white aprons. There are books and notebooks in the bags, And everything is in order in the notebooks.
Suddenly a mischievous one meets, In a knapsack – a diary with deuces, No emblem on the cap, And the belt is already without a buckle.
The students did not have time to get away from him – He pushed them straight into the dirt, Laughing at the pigtails.
He offended them for no reason In front of passers-by, And then he saw the tram – Hooked on the go.
He stood on the footboard, Waving another in the air!
He did not know that Uncle Styopa Sees everything from afar. He did not know that Uncle Styopa Will not forgive the mischievous one.
From the doors of the department store Uncle Styopa — at the same moment Took three huge steps Straight across the square.
At the tram turn I took a tomboy off the footboard: – Answer: where do you live? What is the father’s last name?
With a sentry of such height Arguing is not easy.
——
On the river and crack and thunder – Ice drift and icebreaker.
Rinsed the old fashioned way Grandmother in the hole in the sheets. The ice cracked – the river went, And the grandmother swam.
Grandmother groans and groans: — Oh, my underwear will sink! Oh! I got into trouble! Oh, save! I’m lost!
Uncle Styopa is on duty — He is on duty at the bridge.
Uncle Styopa through the fog Looks into the distance like a captain. Sees – an ice floe. And on the ice floe A grandmother is crying on a basket.
You can’t describe what happened here! Uncle Styopa – hands down, Leaning over the railing, Hanging over an abyss.
He managed to grab The frightened grandmother, And the old woman – behind the basket: – I won’t throw my underwear!
Uncle Styopa saved her, Both the basket and the linen.
——
The guys were walking past the building, What’s on Vosstaniya Square, Suddenly they look – Stepan is standing, Their favorite giant!
Everyone froze in surprise: – Uncle Styopa! It is you? This is not your branch And not your district of Moscow!
Uncle Styopa saluted, Smiled, winked:
– I received an honorary post! – And now on the pavement, Where there is a high-rise building, There is a high-rise guard!
——
Like a stretched handkerchief, Smoothly filled rink. Everyone gets up in the stands: The skaters are given a start.
And they run in a circle, And the fans to each other They say: – Look! Look! The longest ahead! Longest in front, Number “eight” on the chest!
There is a strict dad here He asked his son: – Probably, these legs belong to the Spartak team?
Mom intervened in the conversation: – These legs are at Dynamo. It’s a pity that our Spartak won’t catch up with them!
At this time they announce: The competition is over. Congratulations to Uncle Styopa: – Well, Stepanov! Well done!
——
Uncle Styopa is proud of All policemen of the capital: Styopa looks down, Receives the first prize.
Uncle Styopa, as if on purpose, We urgently need to be on duty. Who would be able to give a lift to Guard on the way ?
One driver speaks, Young motorist:
– Drop you off at the station I would consider it an honor, But, to my great regret, You won’t get into my Moskvich!
— Hey, Stepanov! I’ll throw it in, – Then another driver called. – Get into my car – Into a multi-ton dump truck!
——
In the “Children’s World” store, Where the toys are in the window – A hooligan has appeared. He overturned the skid. He took out a carnation from his pocket, He made a hole in the drum.
Seller to him: — Pay! – He answered: – I won’t cry! – Do you want to go to the department? – Answers: — Yes, I want to!
Only suddenly the bully Heart skipped a beat in his chest: In the bright mirror Stepan He saw behind.
– Do you want to go to the department? – What are you! What do you! Don’t want! – Pay money to the cashier! — How much do you need? I will pay!
Guard Stepan Stepanov Was a thunderstorm for hooligans.
——
One Sunday morning, Styopa came out of the yard. Stop! Don `t move! No escape: She stuck around the children.
Vitya looks at the authorities, Wrinkles his nose in embarrassment: – Uncle Styopa! Sorry! – What is it? — There is a question!
Why, having come from the Baltic Fleet, did you join the police? Didn’t you find a better job than this one?
Uncle Styopa frowns, Left eye squints a little, Says: — Well, friends! I will answer the question!
I’ll tell you a secret, That I serve in the police Because I find this service very important!
Who with a staff and a pistol On duty in winter and summer? Our Soviet sentry – This is the same sentry!
It’s not for nothing that he avoids the police post

Our preschool provides a loving and caring atmosphere in which each child is encouraged to develop as a unique person with a positive self-image. We nurture all aspects of a child’s growth, including social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development.
We understand that children develop at unique timetables that are often uneven and unrelated to age. They also thrive in learning environments that nurture:
an emerging sense of self and empathy for others,
both structured and unstructured learning, and
the disposition to learn by one’s self and with others as an enjoyable lifelong pursuit.
In our program, children interact with their immediate world as a catalyst for learning, and they use play to explore, experiment, and discover the world around them.
Our staff is carefully selected for its warmth, dedication, and ability to empathize with children. Our teachers make every effort to provide a secure setting for preschoolers in their care. We recruit teachers with a heart for early education, a love for young children, and a passion for ensuring school readiness.
We adhere to all state and county requirements.
Albert Einstein
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. ”
Fred Rogers
We Offer Research-Based Approaches to Learning
BPC Preschool applies child development theories and early brain research to a unique teacher support model, child experience, and family engagement model.
THE VIEW OF THE CHILD
Every child is full of potential, naturally curious, and essential to the community. BPC Preschool embraces individual differences.
THE ROLE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Children explore their environment to experiment with ideas, manipulate materials, and construct knowledge.
THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY
Families are central to the intellectual and social growth of the child. Family culture and beliefs add beauty to the school community. As a school family, BPC Preschool partners with parents as the first, primary, and most crucial teacher the child will have.
THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER
The teacher is a learner alongside the child. As a researcher and guide, the teacher offers resources and support. BPC Preschool teachers act with “intention.” Activities are planned with specific goals for a child’s development. BPC Preschool teachers and staff select every activity, song, and item in the classrooms with purpose and intentionality.
THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH
Burke Presbyterian Church Preschool is a ministry of Burke Presbyterian Church. We are excited to have been serving our community for 40 years and welcome children of all races, faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and nationalities.
As a church-sponsored preschool, we seek to reflect Christian values in all our activities. We endeavor to provide opportunities for the child to experience God’s love and a life of wholeness.
A Message From Our Director
Dear Family,
Thank you for considering Burke Presbyterian Preschool. It is our honor to have the opportunity to partner with you in these early years of your child’s learning and development. When your child enters our preschool, they will join a new family – their School Family. School Family is a term we use to describe our classroom and broader school community. The School Family, in partnership with you, can help to create the best possible learning experience for your child.
When a child comes to school, they have three questions:
Am I safe? Am I loved? What can I learn?
I want to introduce you to Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional learning tool used throughout our school. Our trained teachers and staff have created learning environments where children will know, “Yes, I am safe,” and “Yes, I am loved.” From this foundation of safety and caring, children are ready for joyful learning, the business of serious playing, and to begin learning how to navigate their world.
While I am partial, I love our small School Family! I encourage you to visit several preschools and find the one that feels like home to your family. Should that be Burke Presbyterian Church Preschool, I will be excited and honored to welcome you as a part of our School Family.
From my heart to your heart, I wish you well,
Anndra Rowland Ed.D

Preschool 2
Older twos and young threes are naturally inquisitive and very busy, and they are also a joy to teach! Our teachers plan a creative, interactive, and fun curriculum for our Preschool 2 classes. It is our goal to expand your child’s imagination and help him or her develop through activities that address all learning domains. We engage preschoolers in their first classroom learning experience through a variety of activities.
Children must be 2.5 by September 5th. Students should be well on their way to being fully potty trained by September.

Preschool 3
Three-year-olds are special! They are transitioning from parallel to interactive play, and their language capacity is blossoming. They are becoming much more mobile and learning to show genuine affection and concern for their peers.
Three-year-olds are no longer toddlers, yet are not ready for a rigorous Pre-K program. BPC Preschool educators understand that three-year-olds’ cognitive, physical, and social skills are significantly unique from other ages. Their language and understanding of the world are rapidly developing. We help them grow in these areas while also helping them feel comfortable in a classroom setting away from their caregivers.
Children must be 3 by September 30th and Restroom Independent.

Preschool 4
BPC Preschool is excited to offer this new program for the 2023-2024 school year! Preschool 4 will meet three afternoons a week and is ideal for four-year-olds who will have their first preschool experience or plan to have an extra year before kindergarten.
Our Preschool 4 program focuses on Social-Emotional Learning and gaining experience in a classroom environment.
Children learn to take turns, make choices, recognize limits, try new activities, follow directions and feel comfortable in a classroom away from their parents. They also will learn to use art as a form of expression, develop large and fine motor skills, build language and literacy skills, and develop math and science concepts via hands-on exploration.
Preschool 4 students must turn 4 by December 31st.
ENrolLment & Tuition
Pre-K
Four-year-olds are ready for more challenging activities and opportunities to exercise their emerging literacy skills in preparation for kindergarten. Our teachers know that children this age learn best when the activities are meaningful and intentional. They plan for an environment that engages the whole child and is informed by the student’s interests.
Emerging literacy development is supported through various opportunities for listening, talking, writing, and sharing stories. Fine motor skills are improved using pencils, scissors, small manipulatives, and art materials. We foster curiosity through multiple senses, books, music, science experiments, comparing, sorting, categorizing, and beginning graphing.
Children learn beginning math skills through counting, creating sets, and identifying shapes. Observing the world around them helps children learn to exercise their scientific eyes.
We will continue to grow in our social skills by helping others and being part of a group. The emphasis is that children will work towards gaining the independence necessary for Kindergarten readiness.
PK students must be 4 by September 31st.

Transitional Kindergarten
Also new to Burke Presbyterian Preschool for the upcoming school year is Transitional Kindergarten. TK is a program designed for children who either narrowly miss the cut-off for public kindergarten or is taking an extra year before entering formal school. After completion in Transitional Kindergarten, parents will have the option of enrolling their child in public Kindergarten or First Grade.
The class is taught by a veteran FCPS Kindergarten teacher of 13 years. The curriculum closely aligns with that of FCPS; however, the small class size and teacher-to-student ratio allow for much more in-depth individualized instruction and hands-on learning and exploration.
Children must be 5 by December 31st, and all enrollment is at the director’s discretion.

Capitol Childcare Center | Department of Enterprise Services (DES)
Childcare provider KinderCare enrolling children
KinderCare Learning Centers, the DES-selected operator for the new Capitol Childcare Center, is enrolling children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Families of State of Washington employees have first priority at the new center, located at the southern gateway to the Capitol Campus.
KinderCare plans to open the new center Jan. 30, 2023.
The new childcare center doesn’t replace the Capitol Campus Child Care Center on Perry Street (5 Cs) which is a separate facility and provider.
Capitol Childcare Center features
DES managed the construction of the Capitol Childcare Center, the second childcare center in Olympia to serve state employees and their families. Located on the corner of Maple Park Avenue Southeast and Capitol Way South, the single-story, 9,600 square-foot building is southern gateway to the Capitol Campus. The Legislature funded the $10 million project in 2019.
The center was built with an eco-friendly design that focuses on conserving resources, ensuring air and water quality and reducing waste. Ultimately, this project has added 37 new trees to the Capitol Campus. The mix of deciduous and flowering species are in addition to the 200 new trees planted on the Campus in association with a National Association of State Foresters Centennial Challenge.
The center features:
Six classrooms
A nature-based learning playground for infants, toddlers and preschoolers
A light-duty commercial kitchen
14 drop-off only parking stalls
198 solar panels, each producing 440 watts of energy for a total of 87 kilowatts. View photos here.
There are also multiple points of pedestrian access to ease traffic impacts on Maple Park.
View photos of the Capitol Childcare Center site here.
Roof construction used sustainable timber options
The roof of the new Capitol Childcare Center is made of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glue-laminated timber (GLT). Both CLT and GLT are engineered wood products manufactured in the Northwest using trees that in the past have not been economical to harvest, including small Douglas fir, Western hemlock and other trees that have diameters as small as 4 inches — including dead trees. The wood used for the childcare center is Douglas fir.
Using CLT and GLT in construction offers both design flexibility and lower environmental impacts. While CLT is used as for static panels, GLT offers more flexibility for different shapes. The center’s roof panelling is made of CLT while the beams and columns are GLT. In 2017, DES oversaw a pilot project to build 20 elementary school classrooms in five Washington school districts.

This semester of math , preschoolers have been busy. We learned to read, write and count numbers from 1 to 50 using 5 and 10 groups. We worked with repeating patterns and sorting by shapes. We explored the concepts of addition and subtraction by exploring the number partners up to 6 using the plus, minus, equal, and inequality signs. Students learned to read and create graphics.
We can read ! Our pupils read the right books that meet their needs. Daily reading instructions allow students to practice and learn reading strategies. Daily centers raise and reinforce literacy goals. Word learning and tear-free handwriting are two complementary areas of our language learning. Literacy is an important part of our days.
Students of write every day and will compose for a variety of purposes. The classes were writing like scholars, recording small moments and creating personal books. Next semester, students will begin writing How to Write Books. nine0025

Our son has been with LadyBird Academy in Avalon Park for over 3 years. We love it there. The staff is very friendly. The teachers have been great. They seem to have a great curriculum in place, even starting at a young age. The facility is warm/inviting, and very secure. They have an outdoor playground. They have good technology to communicate with me. They offer fun activities & parties for the holidays (trunk or treat most recently), and also offer a monthly parents night out. Most importantly, my son loves it!

We are very happy at Ladybird Academy of Avalon Park. Teachers and administrators are loving with our children while providing quality education and guidance/discipline as necessary to ensure that all children have a positive environment in the classroom. One item worth highlighting is how accommodating they were with our older daughter, who needed another option for summer camp on short notice. They got her right in, and she loved it! There are many special events where families can participate in the classroom – parties, reading days, Grandparent’s day, etc. We love the instruction, compassion, and flexibility at Ladybird of Avalon, and their leadership team is knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended!

FAQs
AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Santee KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it. )
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.
Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!
A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.
Family Stories
Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
Our son, now age 17 months, happily awaits going to school each day. When he first started, he was just a year old, a bit shy and still unsteady on his feet. The teachers really went the extra mile to make sure he adjusted well, was comfortable with staff and peers and had the extra care he needed at first. Now when daddy drops him off, he reaches right for his teacher, Ms. Danielle, to give her a big hug, before running off to play. He even cried the one day school was closed! It’s clear that he grows every day at school and it’s really instilled a lot of confidence in him, which is priceless!
As parents who place a high level of importance on combining structured education with open-ended creative play, we believe KinderCare does an excellent job at providing both. KinderCare and its teachers, have done an excellent job at providing age-appropriate activities that are all-encompassing and tailored to where my son is developmentally. We have been very impressed to see that what is presented about the curriculum is true! It is very comprehensive and provides everything from structured learning (our son has learned his shapes, colors, letters, numbers, etc.) to creative indoor/outdoor play (he does a lot of art projects and has learned to dance there!). Also, we have been very pleased with not only what our son is offered for meals and snacks, (a good variety of healthy foods), but also what emphasis is placed on having good table manners.
Overall, my husband and I could not be more pleased with the comprehensive, age-appropriate programs and curriculum offered at KinderCare. It is consistent enough to reinforce positive behaviors through routine, yet varied enough to keep the kids entertained and engaged. The teachers and staff have been amazing, and they make the effort to truly know your child. Our best experience has been …all of what I wrote above! A sincere thank you, as we have found KinderCare to be an invaluable resource for our child’s holistic growth. We also love the daily communication sheets, as his teachers take the time to personalize his sheets and to tell us what he learned that day, including any “special achievements.” They do a great job at communication!

In north Houston, a new affordable housing unit has a free preschool for its residents as the area combats the childcare desert.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Just south of downtown Houston, near Dixie Drive, stands the Regency Lofts, which includes the new construction of 120 affordable housing units and a pre-K, which will be available at no cost to residents.
“One of the reasons the development wanted to include a pre-K is because they know the impact that education has on building a stronger community,” Cheryl Lawson, executive director of William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity, said.
Lawson said incorporating a childcare component into affordable housing is not common in the area.
“It demonstrates not only a commitment to high-quality affordable housing, but also strengthening the community around it,” Lawson said.
In data showing the ratio of children to childcare capacity, ABC13 found that about 53 zip codes in the Houston metropolitan area are considered childcare deserts
Of those zip codes, ABC13 learned that 33, or 62% of them, have majority non-white communities, and about 32% have median household incomes under $50,000.
Our data team also found that when it comes to both subsidized and non-subsidized childcare deserts, more than half of the zip codes have majority non-white communities, indicating that this issue appears to affect diverse communities more.
“We know that when they have a strong foundation those first five years, language development, good social, emotional security and attachment, good adult relationships in their lives, we know children flourish,” Kofron says.
She says the childcare addition will be beneficial in the long run to a child’s development.
“We know that when they have a strong foundation those first five years, language development, good social, emotional security and attachment, good adult relationships in their life’s, we know children flourish,” says Kofron.
Jalandria Nealey, a working mother of one, says she understands first-hand the importance that early childhood education can have on her child’s growth.
“You could be a busy parent and not have that time for your child, but then if they’re able to go to school and learn how to talk, write, and read, that’s something that school has helped you with, because what if you don’t have anyone to help you,” Nealey said.

How is Texas different from other states? Houston – Russian Dallas – Russian Dallas
Gertrude Rybakova
Monument to Sam Houston, whose name the city bears, in Hermann park.
Texas is historically young, just over 150 years old. Molody and its cities. The largest and most important city in Texas is Houston. It ranks fourth in terms of population in the United States after New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. According to the 2006 census bureau (Census bureau USA), 2.14 million people live in the city of Houston, and its area is 1,600 square kilometers. (compare – in Moscow, the population is 9million, and the area within the Moscow Ring Road is 1081 sq. km.). About 6 million people already live in the Houston metropolis with the adjacent satellite cities of Sugarland, Katy, Baytown.
Houston is located on the coastal plain, 30 miles from the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, from which an 80 km shipping channel for sea vessels is laid to the port. The city is crossed by numerous rivers, called “bayo” here, and streams – “shouts”. In fact, “bayo” is also called artificial pits for draining rainwater after the strongest tropical downpours, which are arranged in all microdistricts and villages. There are many different lakes, the largest is Lake Houston. nine0003
The city was founded by two brothers, August Chapman and John Kirby Allen, on August 30, 1836, when they settled on the shores of Buffalo Bay. A year later, on June 5, 1837, the settlement received city status and a name in honor of the general and first president of the Republic of Texas, Sam Houston, whose monument now stands in the Museum district, in Hermann park.
When I first arrived in Houston, I could not understand its geography for a long time. It seemed to me randomly scattered, consisting of separate, unrelated villages, apartment complexes, villages. Then I had to pick up a map – the surest way to explore a new place of residence. After some time, she began to navigate well, decided on the main roads, streets, etc. In Houston, there are, as it were, two centers with high-rise skyscraper buildings – Downtown and Uptown, a little south of Downtown. High-speed roads – No. 610, 6, 8, and toll, named after Sam Houston, form four rings, gradually moving away from the center, from which other highways radiate in all directions, forming an amazing multi-storey intricacies (see picture). nine0003
Intersection of Highways 45 and 10 in the Downtown area.
Houston is a very green and clean city. Although it is the largest center of the oil refining and chemical industries (the production of plastics, synthetic rubber and resins), this somehow does not affect the environment. Many parks and simply undeveloped green areas separate residential settlements. Huge Memorial Park, Bear Creek Park, Galena Park, Deer Park, Bush Park, etc. – all have sports grounds, bike paths, jogging paths, places for picnics – on weekends and holidays, thousands of citizens flock there to relax. nine0003
Houston is home to the world’s largest Heart Center named after Michael DeBakey (Michael DeBakey) – the famous cardiac surgeon who created a unique method of coronary artery bypass grafting, and developed devices to support cardiac activity. Not every scientist is so honored that during his lifetime his name was given to a center that saves thousands of people. M. DeBakey is now 99 years old, a little over a year ago he himself underwent coronary artery bypass surgery, but he continues to work. And in April of this year, 2008, President Bush personally presented Michael DeBakey with the US Congressional Gold Medal, the highest State award for civilians. DeBakey’s patients included many world leaders, including Russia’s first president, Boris Yeltsin. nine0003
Of course, there are no ancient historical monuments in Houston, as in many European cities, but there are enough attractions. There are 18 museum complexes in the Museum district: the wonderful Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Nature and Natural Sciences, Health and Medicine, Holocaust Museum, Modern Art, Children’s Museum, Museum of Photography and even the Weather Museum. In the area of museums there is a huge zoo, where not only various animals from all over the world are presented, but also typical vegetation of the state of Texas, there are organized circles for children, like our youth ones. For the convenience of visitors to the museum district, huge parking lots are equipped, and a small electric train runs around the district itself. nine0003
Miller Outdoor Theatre.
Here, in Herman’s Park, there is Miller’s outdoor theater – “Miller Outdoor Theatre”, a huge building like a summer stage, but with a large, well-equipped stage. From April to the end of November, there are performances, concerts, festivals in the theater, mostly free of charge. The theater was opened in August 1968, a huge amphitheater can accommodate several thousand spectators, and if someone does not have enough seats, then you can sit on the hill adjacent to the amphitheater. Many come to concerts with their folding chairs, or just sit on the grass, the audibility is excellent. Last fall, in this theater, we watched a wonderful concert by the State Dance Ensemble of Georgia in two parts, as well as a concert by the wonderful jazz singer Diana Shchur (she is completely blind, but her voice is unique!) Accompanied by the jazz orchestra of the University of Houston. nine0003
Houston Rodeo Opening Parade.
The Houston Rodeo is also a tourist attraction. In early March, up to 200,000 guests come to the rodeo. This holiday begins with a bright colorful parade and a carnival of rodeo participants – Texas cowboys. Usually, from Memorial Park, a cavalcade of riders in bright clothes and cowboy hats slowly moves towards the city center. Rodeo is held in a huge indoor stadium “Astrodome”, specially built for this, next to it there are many other buildings and structures that are used to accommodate participants, animals, for trade and various exhibitions. We can say that a rodeo is a farmer’s fair, an exhibition of agricultural achievements, and circus performances, and sports competitions – for example, racing on a wild bull, on a bungee horse, catching bulls with a lasso, etc. These are various concerts, and trade in souvenirs, products of folk craftsmen, various foods. nine0003
Rodeo usually lasts 20 days, during which time a huge number of people manage to visit all the performances and exhibitions. Thus, a total of 1.8 million tickets were sold for all events of Rodeo-2007. Usually tickets start selling almost a year in advance, shortly after the closing of the next holiday.
And of course, another memorable place in Houston – the Center for Manned Spacecraft. Lyndon Johnson – NASA (NASA). This is not a museum, but an operating enterprise, but excursions are allowed there on all days of the week. NASA occupies a large area in the southwestern part of the city, closer to the Gulf of Mexico, in the beautiful green area “Clear lake” – Clear Lake. At the entrance to the territory, they check less strictly than at airports, but you still have to go through the “mine detector”. You immediately find yourself in a museum and training complex, where models of spaceships, various computer simulators are presented, in order to try to fly and land on other planets, you can measure your weight and your strength on all the planets of the solar system. There is also an Omnimax 3D cinema, where various films about space are shown every hour (no need to buy a separate ticket). The feeling of this film is as if you yourself are flying on a ship or walking on an unknown planet. nine0003
NASA Museum
The NASA campus tour is carried out on small 4-car road trains that can accommodate 100 people. Road trains run every 30 minutes, you have to stand in line and go through the “metal detector” again. There are two routes – one with a visit to the workshops, where you can see from the gallery, through a glass wall, how the creators of space engines work and see all the spacecraft and carrier stages, and on the second, tourists are taken to the Mission Control Center. But the common part is the same in both routes. The town has a small memorial square where trees are planted in memory of the dead American astronauts from the Apollo-1, Challenger and Columbia ships (the Columbia Shuttle exploded on February 1, 2003 during takeoff, killing 7 people). nine0003
Landing vehicle of the lunar spacecraft.
NASA has a building where astronauts live during quarantine before space flight, there is a medical center, and a lot of some scientific buildings. And there is even a cattle farm – we saw cows grazing. They say that experiments are also being carried out with them, and at the same time, probably, they provide astronauts with milk – I did not ask the guide about this.
The biggest impression is left by a huge hangar with an Apollo-type spacecraft, which was planned to be sent on another flight to the Moon. In the 70s of the twentieth century, Americans (if you do not question their claims) flew to the moon seven times. But the lunar program was unexpectedly closed, the ship remained in NASA, a hangar was built over it later. Tourists can now get an idea of the true dimensions of each stage of the launch vehicle, lunar module and lander. The entire length of the ship is probably 100 meters, and maybe more. nine0003
We were on an excursion to NASA on April 12, Cosmonautics Day. And although among the portraits of American astronauts in the museum building there was no picture of Yu.A. Gagarin, we were pleasantly surprised when, before entering NASA, young girls handed out invitations to everyone to an evening celebration in honor of the first manned flight into space, promising a large concert program, and on radio broadcasts during our stay there they announced several times that on this day Russian cosmonaut Yu. Gagarin was the first to visit the near-Earth orbit and circled the Earth. nine0003

A Complete Guide to Creating a Daily Daycare Schedule
All daycare facilities operate the best with a consistent routine. By having a schedule that your daycare regularly maintains, it will be beneficial for your staff and the children you care for. If you have multiple children in your daycare, creating a schedule for everyone can feel exhausting and be time-consuming. However, we have put together a guide to help you create the most beneficial schedule for your own daycare without feeling stressed out.
Creating a daily daycare schedule can be simple by breaking down the fundamental needs of the children in your care. Your schedule will cover these needs through education, play, rest and nutrition. It is also essential to include the needs of your facility in your schedule. This includes consistent cleaning, record keeping, and employee breaks. Your schedule will also be determined by your local state requirements.
Table of Contents
Scheduling Education
For the development of a child, it is essential that education is a part of their lives from an early age, beginning as soon as the child is old enough to understand the material. To provide proper education, it is essential that you have enough educational material available in each of your classrooms.
The amount of education in your schedule will be different for each age range of children and what your state may require. You can begin introducing educational type activities for children as young as infants. Some educational activities for infants may include reading books to them, introducing new sounds or playing games where they put objects of the same color together. As each specific child gets close to the toddler age, you can increase the amount of education provided to that child (while still in the infant classroom).
For toddler and pre-school aged children, the amount of education will largely increase during these age ranges and be vital to helping the children properly develop. At the toddler age, children are starting to put together short sentences and are curious about new objects. At this age range, the children will learn through activities that also include play (like educational type games that can be played in groups).
Once children reach pre-school age, they will need a larger amount of education. At this time, you will want to start to introduce literacy and math. This is also an excellent age for children to start practicing writing their own names and other small words.
Another activity that can serve as an excellent source of education for toddlers and pre-school aged children is art type activities. Art can both be enjoyable for the children and you can also use it to teach children colors, shapes, etc. Parents are also often delighted when their children bring home crafts that show what they did at daycare.
Scheduling Play and Exercise
No matter what age group a child is in, all children need play and exercise included in their schedule! Even infants will need time available where they can try and move around. Proper movement is vital for the development of children, especially from the time they are born to around 3 years old.
For infants, the amount of play and exercise may be more limited. Their schedule may include tummy time and adequate time to play with suitable toys for their young age. Play and exercise for infants can also include allowing the babies to interact with each other.
Once children reach the toddler classroom, the amount of play and exercise will largely increase. By this age, the children are much more active and will need to release larger amounts of energy throughout the day. This will be similar for pre-school aged children, who will also have large amounts of energy that can be released through play and exercise.
Play and exercise time can include time spent playing with toys inside the classroom, playing on outside play equipment or enjoying group games that include physical activity. We recommend having a list of indoor play and exercise activities available for the days when the weather may not permit outdoor activities.
Another reason why it is important to schedule playtime is to avoid outside play areas or play equipment being used by too many children at one time. By having a schedule, you can ensure the correct number of children are using the play areas. We recommend only having one class at a time in the outside play area.
If you have more than one class outside in the play area, it can make the larger number of children more difficult to watch, even with multiple adults outside to supervise. The chances of children getting hurt or beginning to misbehave can also increase. By having one class at a time outside, you increase your chances of everything running smoothly.
When scheduling your play and exercise time, you want to first check your local state requirements. Some states may require children to have a certain amount of exercise per day. To operate your daycare correctly, it will be important to make sure your length of time for exercise matches the requirement for your area and can easily be shown on your schedule.
Scheduling Rest
While children are growing, getting enough rest is vital for their bodies. For infants, toddlers and pre-school aged children, we recommend adding consistent nap times to their schedule. By having naps be consistently the same time every day, the children will have an easier time adjusting to the sleep schedule.
Infants will need the most rest out of all the children in your daycare and will need multiple naps throughout the day. We recommend scheduling both a morning and afternoon nap time for ages up to 18 months old. However, you want to ensure that the afternoon nap isn’t too late in the day, to avoid the child having trouble sleeping during the evening. We recommend waking up infants by 3:00 PM from their final nap.
For toddlers and pre-school children, it is recommended to have one nap time scheduled near the middle of the day. We generally recommend having this after they’ve had adequate playtime to release some energy and after they’ve eaten lunch. It is essential to make the classroom dark and quiet during this time, to help each child fall asleep.
The important factor to remember for naptime is an adult still needs to be in the room to supervise the children. This is not a time for a caregiver to take a break outside of the classroom. However, this can be an excellent time for the caregiver to get needed tasks done within the classroom like record keeping or light cleaning.
Scheduling Nutrition
For every age range, you will need to schedule meals and snacks. By creating a schedule for meals and snacks, you ensure that the children in your care do not go hungry and have the energy for their play and exercise time. Some children will often start to get upset or emotional when they start to get hungry. Providing snacks at the right times will prevent this.
For lunchtime, many daycare facilities choose to provide lunch for the children. If you are supplying the food, your schedule must also include time spent to prepare the meals. We recommend having designated staff members assigned to preparing lunch. By having a schedule and designating an employee, you can ensure that all classrooms still have the amount of required supervision.
Another benefit of having a designated person prepare lunch is they can also keep track of what food is available in the facility and can make a list of what food will be needed. It is recommended that this designated staff member also have basic knowledge of food safety and preparation to ensure the food in your facility is handled properly.
For infants, they will require more regular nutrition often through bottle feeding. Depending on the stage the child is at, some children in the infant class may also start eating some solid foods during lunchtime and for their snacks.
When adding lunch to your schedule, you want to make sure to include enough time to allow for cleaning up after the meal. We recommend scheduling lunch for at least around 45 minutes to an hour. This allows all the children to have time to settle down, be given their meal, eat and clean up afterward.
Scheduling for Your Facility
To help your daycare run smoothly, your schedule must also include the needs of your facility. If you don’t include your facility in your schedule, important tasks can easily be forgotten, and the needs of your employees may be ignored.
The first item we recommend scheduling for your facility is break times for your employees. Working with children can often be a very emotionally and physically demanding job. To help your employees operate their classrooms the best as possible, it is important that every staff member take regular breaks, even if the breaks are short.
Breaks must be scheduled to ensure that children always have adult supervision. Even if a classroom has two teachers, most states will require that one adult is only left with a certain number of children at one time. If one teacher takes a break, another adult must fill in, to ensure all regulations are still being met.
By scheduling the breaks, all staff members will know upfront what time their breaks are, when they need to fill in for other teachers and who is in the classroom at any given time. This will allow your facility to run much more smoothly than it would without a break schedule.
The second item you need to schedule for your facility is regular cleaning times. In the daycare environment, germs can spread quickly, and cleaning is one of the most important aspects of keeping your children safe. By creating a cleaning schedule, your staff members will have a clear understanding of what is expected of them.
We recommend wiping down or spraying surfaces that children consistently touch a minimum of 2 times a day. This includes tables, chairs, and doorknobs. For toys or play equipment the children use, we recommend cleaning these items at least once a week with a multi-purpose cleaner that will destroy all the germs.
For cleaning items and surfaces in the classroom, an excellent time to do this is during nap time when all the children are asleep. For cleaning areas like play equipment, bathrooms, and dining areas that may not be in the classroom, cleaning times will have to be scheduled for these to ensure proper supervision is still maintained.
Another benefit of scheduling cleaning time is it ensures that all employees are cleaning for a fair amount. It prevents one team member from cleaning more than the others. Employees can take turns cleaning common areas like bathrooms, play equipment and any dining areas that all children may use.
The last aspect of your facility that needs to be scheduled is record keeping. In a daycare facility, it is vital for employees to keep proper records of each child. Some states may require records be kept for any incidents that may occur, what time the children nap, when diapers are changed and when the children are fed.
We recommend scheduling time for employees to update their daily records during naptime while all the children are asleep in the classroom and at the end of the day once all the children have been picked up for the day.
Sample Infant Schedule
Creating a schedule for infants is often the most difficult schedule to create in a daycare facility. This is due to infants needing the most attention and care. Although some daycare facilities choose to not stick to a standard schedule for infants, we recommend at least having an outline of what activities you plan to follow for this group.
During the infant age range, children will need more consistent nutrition and rest. Instead of only one nap like toddlers and pre-school aged children, infants will need two separate naps throughout the day. They will also need regular bottle feeding.
Although they can’t move around as much as older children, it is still important to allow infants time on the floor, to crawl around and interact with the other children. Movement and attention are both vital for development at this young age.
Infants will also require more consistent attention than any other age of children. One caregiver should only have around 2-3 infants alone at once. It will be especially important to pay very close attention while the infants are playing and moving around on the floor.

Sample Toddler Schedule
Children in a toddler classroom are typically around the ages of 2 to 3 years old. This age range is also often when children are beginning potty training. Due to the children being in various stages depending on their development, you will still have children in this group who will need regular diaper changing. Those who are more advanced in potty training may still need regular reminders about going to the bathroom.
During the toddler age, you want to start increasing the amount of educational type of activities throughout the day. At this age, they can put together short sentences and are learning how to play well with other children. Therefore, group games are vital at this age.
Toddler aged children also learn best through play type activities. To help children learn at this age, we recommend including plenty of educational games and art type activities. By including more play type activities, you’ll also help the toddlers release some of the boundless energy they tend to have at this age.

Sample Pre-School Schedule
Once children have reached the pre-school age, these children will begin learning at a more advanced rate and will need more educational material involved in their schedule. At this age, you can start introducing more literacy and math.
During this age, the children are starting to become more self-sufficient. In most states, the number of children one caregiver can watch at one time will increase during the pre-school age range (verse what one caregiver can watch for toddlers).
Like toddler aged children, pre-school children will require large amounts of physical activity to help them develop. We recommend including activities outside, in groups and through games. Physical activity is also important to help them release some of the energy children of this age range have.

Sample School-Age Schedule
If your daycare has children older than 5 years old, you will also need a schedule for school-aged children. This schedule will be different than your other schedules because it won’t begin until after the children get out of school for the day.
Typically, in order to have school-aged children in your daycare, you will either need to be located walking distance from a school or have a company vehicle that is qualified to use for picking children up from school (like a van).
School-aged children will be the most self-sufficient out of all the children in your daycare facility and will be able to do many activities on their own. However, for their schedule, it is still essential that you allow time for them to work on their homework and release energy through playing.

Related Questions
How many children can be left with one caregiver in my daycare facility?
The number of children that one caregiver can watch at one time in a daycare facility will largely depend on the age of the children that are present and your local state requirements. Each state will only legally allow one caregiver to have a certain number of children at one time and each state will vary regarding how many they allow.
If the children are older, a caregiver will be able to watch more children. For infants, we recommend one caregiver never watching more than 2-3 infants at one time. However, for pre-school aged children, one caregiver can watch around 5-6 children. This is largely due to infants needing constant attention and being extremely limited on their own.
How many employees does the average daycare facility have?
The number of employees a daycare facility will have will largely depend on how many children the daycare currently cares for. If you have a larger number of children in your care, you will need more employees to ensure you provide proper supervision.
As a new daycare starts out, it is common for the daycare to only have 1-2 employees. Once your client base has grown and you start accepting more children, you will need to continually hire new employees to make sure all children are supervised and you’re following your local state requirements.

Create a website
View the template
Create it using a template. It is suitable for kindergarten and for children’s additional education courses. The whole structure is thought out, you just need to add photos and text.
How to make a kindergarten website?
Create a beautiful and convenient website without programming
Customize the menu and make a cover
Designate the main directions or specializations of the kindergarten. Select a photo for each of them and place it in the slider on the cover. Customize the menu. One will be at the top of the main page, and the other will appear on the side when scrolling down.
Tell us about kindergarten
Write about the concept of education and learning priorities. Post your photos in the gallery.
Choose a cover for the first training program
If the kindergarten has several training programs, tell us about each separately. For example, if children are divided into groups with a musical, artistic and scientific bias. Or if you have an additional education school where acting, chess and drawing classes are held. Write the name of the first direction and add a photo that characterizes this program.
Tell us more about the program
Write in the table the schedule of classes in this direction. Describe how the lessons are going. Add photos from classes.
Choose a cover for the second program
Describe the second program
Organize the story of the second specialization in the same way as the first: a table with a schedule and price, a description of the classes and photographs.
Cover the third program
Tell about the third program
Write about the benefits of attending a kindergarten
Write about the location, the protected area, the individual approach to classes, and what you can boast about. Illustrate with icons.
Share the news of the kindergarten
Tell us about the performances and successes of the pupils. When you click “subscribe to news”, a pop-up with a subscription form is displayed. Choose a photo for it, a short text, and set where the data will be sent.
Tell us about professionals who work with children
Add photos of teachers, their names and positions. You can specify all teachers, but only show the first three at once. The rest will appear when you click the “show all” button.
Write answers to popular questions
Clear parental doubts by answering questions. When clicking on the phrase “ask a question”, the user will be sent to the form at the bottom of the page.
