how coronavirus spreads around the world again

Remember the stories blaming the resurgence of the American virus for reopening states too quickly and praising other countries for wiping out COVID-2019 with lockdowns? Outbreaks are currently occurring in several countries that have recently eased their lockdowns and lifted travel restrictions. Claims of victory are premature in any case, the WSJ writes.

The number of new cases in Spain doubled over the weekend and increased six times in a month. Government officials have linked these cases to migrant farm workers, tourists, family reunions and youth parties. In Catalonia, a tourist region known for its vineyards and beaches, the government ordered the closure of nightclubs and bars this weekend. “Some generations have forgotten to be vigilant,” said Fernando Simon, director of emergency situations at the Spanish Ministry of Health. Governors Doug Duchi of Arizona and Greg Abbott of Texas can sympathize.

The UK has quarantined tourists returning from Spain, which could hurt its tourism industry and economy, which are trying to revive. But as Spanish officials point out, there have been outbreaks across Europe as some countries reopened their borders and economies a month ago.

Germany recently reported an outbreak in Bavaria involving migrant agricultural workers from Romania. France’s General Directorate of Health warned last week that “the spread of the virus is on the rise” after more than 200 outbreaks were reported in the country. France is registering twice as many new cases per day than two weeks ago and last week it was ordered to wear protective masks in public places.

The number of new daily cases in Australia has increased 11-fold in the past month. The number has risen even though the Australian government has quarantined Melbourne. Civil disobedience is common. Victorian Prime Minister Daniel Andrews recently noted that nearly 90% of those infected do not self-isolate from the onset of symptoms to testing. More than half of those infected were not isolated after testing and receiving results.

Japan and Hong Kong, which have been cited as top models of infection control, are also experiencing outbreaks linked to travelers and social gatherings. The daily increase in cases in Japan has increased six times over the past month. Hong Kong is reporting an average of 136 new cases each day, up from two weeks ago, so it imposed a ban on restaurants and large gatherings of more than two people on Monday.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says he doesn’t think it’s necessary to shut down businesses because most cases still occur among young people and hospitals have enough resources. The same approach is used in most Republican states, and Arizona, and Texas, and Florida used it until some hospitals were overwhelmed.

Democrats attribute the US spike to inadequate testing and contact tracing. However, the US averages two to three times more tests per capita than most countries in Europe and Asia. Arizona, California, Florida and Texas were doing more tests per capita when lockdowns were lifted than the German, Spanish, French and South Korean averages.

Additional testing may help isolate those infected and identify asymptomatic cases. Delays in returning test results to the US have made contact tracing more difficult for states. But contact tracers in many places, including the UK and New York, are reporting other logistical problems, including that getting people to share personal information is hard enough.

In any case, further testing and contact tracing will not be of much use unless people are in self-isolation or unable to do so because they live in close quarters with their families. The latter is a problem in many US hotspots.

Mandatory face masks may reduce the spread of the virus in public places, but it is not a panacea, especially if young people do not follow the rules and ignore social distancing.

Spanish nightclubs required protective masks, but in the photographs, young people wore them on their chins. Most people in the US wore masks before the government mandated it. According to the global company Dynata, about 80% of citizens used masks in early July in Houston, southeast Florida and New York.

Against the background of post-lockdown outbreaks, it is worth returning to Sweden, which has been widely criticized for never closing businesses and primary schools. Over the past month, the number of cases has declined after a modest increase in June due to additional tests. Only 27 patients have died in the last week, less than in New York.

American liberals cite the relatively high mortality rate in Sweden (56 per 100,000 compared to 45.1 in France and 35.8 in the Netherlands). But two-thirds of the deaths occurred in people over 80, and 97% never received intensive care. Blame the Swedish socialized healthcare system, which rationed care for the elderly even though intensive care units were never overwhelmed.

The lesson is that the virus will not go away any time soon. Governments may need to introduce some business and social restrictions to protect hospitals and vulnerable populations. But lockdowns are not a miracle cure, and the collateral damage is too great to bear.

OVERVIEW: “MEGA STAR” KINDERGARTEN

When choosing a kindergarten, parents tend to prefer private preschools – small groups, individual approach, homemade food, convenient working hours.

Today we will take a closer look at kindergarten “Mega Star” , talk about the process of work, training programs, evaluate the interior and living conditions.

Preschool offers educational services for children from 1 to 6 years old. The training is based on Russian programs “7 Gnomes” and “Lomonosov School” . Baking Class: 50 Fun Recipes Kids Will Love to Bake

Once you know the kids are into cooking, this is a great one to add to the set. It’s all baked goods with options to make breads, muffins, pies, cakes, and more. There are fun decorations to try, as well as the same step by step images in Cooking Class. We love this one!

(The author also has a third book in this series called Global Feast, which has lots of awesome new flavors and dishes to try from around the world.)

Best Middle School Cookbook

America’s Test Kitchen Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs: 100 Recipes that You’ll Love to Cook and Eat

This award-winning book has 100 recipes to try that are great for slightly older kids. (The description says grades 4-8.) I love that it has so many options to give the kids plenty of choice for their culinary adventures and that it’s from America’s Test Kitchen—which has a really thorough testing process for their recipes!

P.S. If you want a slower entry into cookbooks for kids, check out this new Food Faces board book. Each critter is made with food for a see-and-do (or just see and talk about it!) take on the idea of playing with your food.

Best Tips for Picking a Cookbook for Kids

Read through the age recommendation to make sure you choose one that’s the right stage for your child.

Let your child explore the book at their own pace. Maybe looking at it is enough for them for a while—some kids are naturally more interested in cooking than others!

Let it be okay if your child just wants to do one or two steps. Real life isn’t Top Chef and it’s okay if they have to work up to making full recipes on their own.

Until a child is at least 8 and likely older in many cases, you need to be with them to help as needed, so plan these activities when you have the time (and energy!) to do them together.

Include clean up as part of the cooking experience so the kids understand everything involved.

Make it fun, keep it light, and avoid pressure! There’s no perfection here—and it’s okay if things don’t turn out perfectly!

The competition “Mrs. Eurasia 2014″ was held in Yekaterinburg. 28 contestants from 23 to 53 years old competed for the title of the best mother of the Urals. The jury chose the most active, beautiful and artistic mother. The second Vice-Mrs. was the director of the holiday studio – 35-year-old Evgenia Bayanova. The title of First Vice-Mrs. was given to stylist Maria Shelekhova from Pervouralsk. The 36-year-old Ekaterina Borodina was chosen as the best. She is a charming dentist, sweet, affable, benevolent and incredibly modest.

In an interview with an E1.RU correspondent, Ekaterina Borodina told how to always remain a woman in a family with three men, what needs to be done every day in order to achieve success and where to get strength for daily accomplishments.

– Have you ever participated in such competitions?

– Never. I am absolutely not a public person. I’m doing an interview for the first time.

– Why are you the best?

– I don’t think it’s the best. Someone just has to win. And that doesn’t mean I’m the best. It happened, the stars aligned. All girls are wonderful.

– Tell us about yourself

– I work as a dentist. I am 36 years old and I have two children – two boys. I live in a male society, and of course, I can’t just give up positions – I need to be, first of all, a woman for myself, for all my men. To interest them in this, to spur them on. That’s why I entered this competition.

The kitchen, house and other household items are absolutely not everything. A woman should not drive herself into a framework: mom, home, work, order. As a rule, all the other facets of a woman are either hidden or somehow taken away from them. I advise everyone to express themselves and participate in competitions. To show that a woman is … space: any woman can sing, dance, any woman is a big dreamer. It’s just that a lot of people don’t know about it. Every day I try very hard to be better than I was yesterday. Honestly. Try, improve yourself, develop, learn, strive for something new, for impressions, for communication.

– Will life change after this contest?

– My life has already changed two months ago when I came to this competition and passed the casting. I opened the window with clean air, and so many things “flown” into it: friends, communication, excellent teachers, so many opportunities opened up in me. It’s great. After the victory, this “window” opened even wider, and I’m waiting for new “infusions”.

– Not scary?

– Actually, it’s scary – such a responsibility. It is terrible not to justify the trust placed in you. It is easier to receive than to hold, and to bear with dignity. Getting married is elementary. Keeping interest is hard. It is easy to get the crown, but it is necessary to keep the year with dignity. For this, you need to take strength, inspiration. You need to laugh more often. I love to laugh very much. I laugh all the time. I know a lot of jokes. We usually have cheerful companies, we are always noisy at home.

– Do you plan to participate in social projects?

– I’d love to, I just don’t know how it happens. I participated in charity events. I just don’t know who to work with, what to do, but then they sent me, and I hope this is all, of course, to continue. I think everything will work out slowly.

– Love yourself. This does not mean that you need to sit at home, pat yourself on the head and do nothing. Love yourself, make yourself happy, do not pay attention to nonsense, to the bad. We will be providing the children ages 3.5 to 5 years old with the developmental and educational skills needed for a successful transition into kindergarten. Lessons are designed to ensure that children grasp concepts in ways that are most meaningful to them. Classrooms include learning centers, designed around our curriculum, to encourage independent discovery. This will help your child learn independently, a skill also necessary in kindergarten.

General:

Introduction to Kindergarten level concepts & skills.

Stretching their attention span and listening skills in order to develop their ability to follow multi-step instructions.

Learning organizational and time management skills.

Learning conflict resolution, cooperation and team work skills.

Reinforcing of learned skills through homework & classwork.

Pre-Primary (Age 2)

Primary (Ages 3-5)

Our Primary Program emphasizes the importance of early education through teaching practices focused on engaging the whole child. Students are exposed to a curriculum designed to challenge them cognitively, strengthen them physically, and respond to them socially and emotionally. The program, serving children ages three to five, acknowledges that students develop at different rates and in different ways and, as such, individualized instruction meets each student every day. A strong emphasis on developing independence, confidence in one’s abilities, a positive attitude toward learning, and appropriate prosocial behavior with adults and peers helps guide the formative years prior to kindergarten.

The Primary Program emphasizes concept formation in the areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies. Students are exposed to direct instruction to begin to develop specific skills such as letter identification and number sense; however, a large focus is on the development of intellectual curiosity and imagination. Students are also provided non-instructional, play-like experiences to foster the development of academic skills. Each classroom’s two teachers act as partners to the students in their exploration of the materials provided.

Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program addresses the academic, social-emotional, and physical needs of 5-and 6-year-old learners. Continuing our two-teacher team model allows teachers to focus on building meaningful relationships with students and their families. A safe and nurturing environment that encourages independence, promotes positive attitudes toward learning and establishes early student skills serves as the foundation of our Kindergarten curriculum. Academic instruction is differentiated to meet each student’s needs and abilities and to instill confidence while empowering young learners to think critically. The goals of Stockton Unified Early Childhood Education/School Readiness Programs are:

A modest start

The typical NBA star story begins with success on the street courts and further benefits in college basketball. But Stockton had a different path. The Child Development Center Coordinator is responsible for many of the general administrative and management functions of the center. The Coordinator provides support to the Program Director, acting as the “right hand person” and is responsible for the management of the center when the Director is not present for short periods of time. Site Directors

The YMCA Site Director is responsible for the daily administration of the before and after school childcare program. Positions are generally Full-Time, Monday–Friday, with approximate hours 6 AM–8:30 AM and 2 PM–6 PM, except for School District holidays. The remainder of the work day is spent developing a professional partnership with the elementary school administration, curriculum prep work and staff meetings.

Center for the Study of Child Care Employment – Alliance for Early Success

The Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) is focused on achieving comprehensive public investments that enable the early childhood workforce to deliver high-quality care and education for all children.

CSCCE conducts specialized research and proposes policy solutions aimed at improving how the nation prepares, supports, and rewards the early care and education workforce to ensure young children’s optimal development.

Our state allies can call on CSCCE to:

Provide research findings and insights tailored to their states.

CSCCE has extensive research on the child care workforce for each state, and can help allies use that research in new and powerful ways. CSCCE can assist by providing research and analyses to inform decisions; presenting to legislators and other stakeholders; and informing testimony, policy proposals, and draft legislation.

Help them strategize ways to leverage data to drive policy conversations about early childhood workforce compensation, data systems, and higher ed.

An effective tool that compares states, puts wages in context of local living wages, and more, this resource can be foundational to ECE workforce advocacy in a state. CSCCE also works to disseminate the Index to the broader policymaking community through promotional materials that highlight ECE workforce issues, such as reducing racial stratification, increasing compensation, improving working conditions, reforming higher education, and improving the collection of data.

“Permitted” time to work during parental leave up to one and a half years, in order to retain the right to receive benefits and wages, will change child, it will be possible no more than 50% of the time of the usual 8-hour.

Employed citizens have the right to receive child care allowance up to 1. 5 years. This allowance is paid as compensation for lost earnings due to the need to care for a baby.

The amount of this benefit is 40% of the average monthly income for the previous 2 years.

At the same time, you cannot work full-time and receive benefits at the same time, because benefits are paid only if you take care of a child.

But, there is the possibility of part-time work. Until now, the “permitted” time for work in order to receive a salary and at the same time retain the right to benefits was no more than 5 hours a day (with an 8-hour working day), that is, 60% of working time. From July this year, the legislation in this part will change.

Federal laws will be amended to ensure that part-time hours that qualify for monthly child care allowance must not exceed 50% of normal working hours.

It is planned that the changes will come into force on July 1, 2022, and if an employee who is on parental leave for up to one and a half years left for a part-time job earlier than July 1 and the duration of his working day is more than 50% normal working hours (with an 8-hour working day, 50% is 4 hours, more than 50% means more than 4 hours) – the right to receive benefits from such an employee is lost.

In this regard, after the entry into force of the bill, employers must send a notice to the regional office of the FCC about the termination of parental leave for such an employee, or re-register the employee for the authorized number of working hours.

Amendments to Federal Law No. 255-FZ of December 29, 2006 “On Compulsory Social Insurance in Case of Temporary Disability and in Connection with Motherhood” (hereinafter referred to as Law No. 255-FZ) and Federal Law No. 81 of May 19, 1995 -FZ “On State Benefits to Citizens with Children” (hereinafter – Law No. 81-FZ) is proposed to be introduced by Draft Law No. 41991-8.

Part 2 of Article 11.1 of Law No. 255-FZ will be supplemented. A similar change will be made to Part 2 of Article 13 of Law No. 81-FZ.

Draft Law No. 41991-8 will come into force on July 1, 2022.
