Note on Frequency of Inspections

Centers, Group Homes, and Licensed Family Homes::

In 2014, legislation was passed that changed the number of unannounced visits from two per year to one per year in Child Care Centers, Group Child Care Homes, and Licensed Family Child Care Homes. As a result of this new law, you may see a decrease in the number of deficiencies listed on this website for these types of providers. Unannounced visits are still made in response to a complaint, and visits are scheduled with the facility during the re-licensing process, which occurs every two years.

Registered Family Homes:

Most family homes are registered, not licensed. In 2014, legislation was passed that allows Child Care Licensing to make one unannounced visit to these homes each year. As a result of this new law, you may see an increase in the number of deficiencies listed on this website for Registered Family Child Care Homes. Unannounced visits are still made in response to a complaint. Click here for an overview of each facility and the requirements they must meet according to state law.

Happy Children – a private kindergarten in Lipetsk

The first kindergarten “Happy Children” was established in 2008. Over the years, vast experience and deep scientific and practical knowledge in the field of pedagogy, psychology, neuropsychology, medicine have been gained to create the best and most favorable conditions for a happy life for children in kindergarten.

Kindergarten “Happy Children” is located in the center of the city of Lipetsk with its spacious green area, convenient transport accessibility provides traffic from any microdistrict of the city.

The design of the kindergarten resembles the estate of Leo Tolstoy both externally and conceptually. A Russian writer of world recognition in his estate for the first time in Russia opened a Free School based on the pedagogy of cooperation. According to him, everything in teaching should be individual – both the teacher and the student, and their mutual relationship. The task of the teacher is to interest children, and children should have the freedom to choose their interests.

The classic interior and art gallery in our Happy Garden develop aesthetic taste, sense of beauty and culture in children. The groups are made in bed colors and are close to the home environment, embodying warmth, comfort and beauty, so that the child comes from house to house. The child spends a long time in the kindergarten, and bright multi-colored tones continuously activate the baby’s nervous system. This condition is extremely unfavorable for the child’s psyche and causes symptoms of hyperactivity.

Children up to 6 years of age have a unique ability of the Mind – to absorb everything from the environment – this forms the basis of the human personality. The mechanism of children’s cognition is imitation, due to mirror neurons. Everything that a child sees, hears and feels forms his personality forever. Therefore, it is necessary to surround children with the best and worthy, and the responsibility of an adult in this is ambiguous.

Love for children is the first and most important professional quality of a teacher. We believe that first you need to love the child, and then teach! Without love, any knowledge is useless, children live by feelings, and a teacher is an engineer of the human soul.

The depth of knowledge of child psychology can benefit a growing little Human. In the Happy Garden, the methodology of working with children is complemented by scientific psycho-pedagogy.
The conditions for children from 2 months to 8 years old have been created in the Happy Garden.

Spacious groups allow you to comfortably accommodate children of different ages.

Group size is different and depends on the level of comfort and attendance.

Average daily attendance is 15-20 children.

Each group has 2 educators and a Nanny, as well as teachers of additional education – English, Italian, fine arts, dance and choreography, vocals, martial arts, preparation for school, speech therapist, theater studio and cooking.

The main principle of upbringing in the Happy Kindergarten is interaction with children through love and affection, so every child can feel important, needed and loved in a friendly and safe home atmosphere. The professional etiquette of teachers, educators and nannies is aimed at a respectful, calm and attentive attitude towards each child.

All talented children are initially happy! Nature rewards every child with the richest potential from birth. And the disclosure of potential depends on the conditions in which the child grows, and the adults who create them.

To unleash this richest potential in our happy kindergarten, the main educational program “Happy Children” has been developed, which meets all the requirements of the state standard, and there are many additional educational programs. Additional programs can be individual, at the request of parents. For example, nothing prevents the organization of classes in Chinese, if the child needs it.

An exclusive feature of our Happy Kindergarten is Montessori groups led by a certified Montessori teacher 0-6 of the AMI international level. Montessori class 3-6 (Casa de Bambini) is currently operating, in 2021 elementary school class 6-12 will open. Montessori education meets all the developmental needs of children, recognized as unique at the international level.

The future is what our children think about! And if today we were able to help make them happy, then this is the most important contribution to the lives of each of us! We love kids and kids love us the same! We are happy that we have found the great meaning of life – to help children be happy!

Why should a child return from kindergarten happy?

Why should a child return from kindergarten happy?

In the city’s “Boiling Point”, the “Modern Education Club” is modeling ideal schools and preschools. The conclusions are amazing.

Discussions about what education should be like in Russia continue at Omsk’s Boiling Point. The next meeting in the “Club of Contemporary Education” (CSE) will be held next Friday, March 25. The topic of the meeting-conference is “Modern teacher. Barriers in relationships.

At the past meetings in the CSR, they have already discussed what changes all interested parties expect from the secondary school and preschool institutions. Together they developed models of the future: parents, university professors, high school students, students, school teachers, teachers of preschool and additional education.

In the wake of the previous CSR meeting devoted to preschool education, we met with the head of the methodological service of the City Palace of Children’s Creativity Olga Savelyeva and the head of the Child Development Center “Rodnichok” Irina Demina .

– A CSR meeting on the development of toddlers under 7 showed that, despite the variety of forms and opportunities for preschool education, all stakeholders prefer the classic kindergarten. True, municipal kindergartens do not suit everyone. Tell us more about it.

Olga Savelyeva: All participants agreed that they would choose a complete pre-school education for their children. It can be a kindergarten or a development center. The main advantage of the kindergarten is the stay of the child throughout the day. Parents strive to be free, to be able to earn money, to fulfill themselves, so they prefer their children to be busy from morning to evening. At the same time, the child should not only be supervised, but also develop. To be qualitatively prepared for the requirements that will be presented to him in the first class. Although preparation for the 1st grade has ceased to be the task of state preschool education, according to the standards adopted in 2014 (FSES).

The best option is when a kindergarten, a development center can provide additional services. For example, a speech therapist, psychologist, as well as the development of creative abilities. It can be additional circles and studios.

– Isn’t all this in municipal kindergartens?

Olga Savelyeva: City kindergartens are disadvantaged in terms of funding. They are very poor in terms of the modern material base, just in providing those very additional free services. In the state of municipalities most often there are no speech therapists and psychologists, the groups are large, an individual approach is impossible.

– Can various child development centers fill the gaps in a municipal kindergarten if, for example, parents have time to take their child back and forth?

Olga Savelyeva : Of course, establishments within walking distance, neighborhood centers for children are very popular today. True, there is a danger that in reality these centers do not do what they advertise. Most often, these are interest clubs, leisure centers. There are one-time classes. The problem is that there is no system and consistency. They try to give everything at once: we dance, we sing, and we study mental mathematics, while we also go to a full-time kindergarten. And when a child begins to suffer from excessive overload, parents make claims to teachers.

There is no stability in small private institutions. These are incoming and outgoing children, there is no stable children’s team. And if we are talking about development and some kind of methodology, then it must be long in time so that the child can develop.

Parents have some kind of partnership in priority: public-private, completely private. The main thing is to satisfy all the needs of the child in development.

Irina Demina: There are many advantages in a classic kindergarten. The first is socialization. For example, our “Rodnichok” is a wonderful, wonderful, demanded Child Development Center. But we have a short stay group and there is no way to put the child in such situations that he could learn to interact, get out of the problem, satisfy his needs. It’s about interaction and self-service, also we don’t have free play. Whereas the kindergarten solves all this.

– But it does not solve the problem of preparing for school. I wonder if all parents are aware of this, because the school has just the requirements that the child already knows and can do a lot. And how to be?

Olga Savelyeva: In fact, nowhere at the legislative level does it state that a child should be able to read and write by the first grade. Moreover, teachers of the old school, on the contrary, say that they do not need such skills in a child. Because, most likely, he was taught to write and read incorrectly and will have to be retrained.

Irina Demina: But still, the trend is such that when enrolling in the first grade, the teacher is interested in ensuring that the maximum number of children already know how to read. Those who do not read to the first grade just have difficulties. The problem is that very often parents, and progymnasiums, and preparatory courses try to train 6-7-year-old children for the first grade, having formed reading and counting skills, without deciding the main thing, which is the development of the child. If imagination, perception, memory, all thinking processes are not properly developed, coherent speech is not formed, then, alas, without this platform, the child will not be successful further. He will pass the first grade on the knurled one, but when an intensive program begins in the second grade, he may no longer be able to cope with it. Indicators of a child’s readiness for school are the ability to listen, understand what you hear, the ability to ask questions, consciously interact, and the ability to coherently express one’s thoughts.

– What do children who are overly pumped up with knowledge face? They come to the first class and already know everything, and what should they do there?

Irina Demina: If a child has mastered the entire first grade program by school, he loses motivation. And already in the second grade, problems grow when parents step aside. We need to help him succeed. We need to be close to our child in the process of becoming. But don’t do it for him. Parents for a happy childhood, the best teachers, ideal conditions. What does the child want? It turns out that children are deprived of childhood. Already from the age of two or three they are so busy that they do not belong to themselves. No personal time for yourself. And in adolescence, the time comes to make independent decisions, but the skill is not formed. Therefore, do not overload preschoolers with knowledge, depriving them of their childhood. Everything has its time.

– So, how do you see the optimal institution of preschool education?

Irina Demina: This is an institution with a specific program, its own philosophy, its own traditions, which are in tune with parents. In which they are ready to be included, creating jointly certain conditions for the development of the child. This is a synthesis of a full day and a very diverse range of additional services so that there is no need to transport the child from place to place. It is preferable that the child has both activities, and leisure, and sports, and dancing. Plus proper nutrition, daytime sleep. So that not tired, but happy, he came home in the evening.

Features of the work of an educator of an extended day group in the first grades | Article (Grade 1) on the topic:

Features of the work of the educator of the extended day group in the first grades

Author: educator GPA

Bogdanova Anna Nikolaevna

Working parents, choosing which school for the future first grader, necessarily stop offer them an extended day group. Not every parent, with the admission of his child to the 1st grade, has the opportunity to change his work schedule and free up the second half of the day in order to pick him up after school from school and work out with him at home. And for the first time, you will have to pick him up from school very early, because the study load on the first grader is distributed gradually. The first month in the first grades they spend three lessons each, then four lessons each, and only after the New Year, on some days, the students have the fifth lesson. Before entering school, all previous years, many children attended kindergarten until 17-18 pm. Therefore, the parents of such children need an extended day group like air.

Usually the wishes of parents for such a group are simple and understandable: everyone wants their child to be fed, he was taken out for a walk, he had lessons with him qualitatively, so that the child was under the sensitive leadership of the teacher and even attend circles and sections within the school. Based on the needs of the parents and the capabilities of the school institution, the work of the extended day groups is usually built.

Educators of extended day groups, along with primary school teachers, set the following goals and objectives in their work:

  • Develop students’ cognitive interests and abilities.
  • To cultivate love for school, work, sports, nature and native land.
  • To inculcate cultural behavior skills at school, at home and in public places.
  • Promote the development of the spiritual and moral qualities of the individual.
  • To instill a sense of collectivism, to teach mutual assistance.
  • To form the skills of a sanitary and hygienic culture.
  • Strengthen the health of children, develop their physical abilities.
  • Create conditions for the manifestation of the creative abilities of each child.
  • Involve children in classes and sections.

The main difficulty in the work of a GPA teacher in the 1st grade lies in the fact that every child who falls into his group for the first time entered the threshold of the school, where he will have to study for many years. The first grade will be a serious test for the child, and how this first year goes will largely depend on all subsequent years at school. A very difficult adaptation period begins in the life of a first grader.

First of all, it is very difficult for first-graders to navigate in the unfamiliar space of the school. They are unaware of many of the rules of student behavior in the classroom, during recess, in the wardrobe and in the dining room. In addition, they will have to get to know each other in class and build their relationships in a new team.

The already difficult period of the first-grader getting used to the school is also aggravated by the fact that parents cannot take their child from school immediately after lessons, and on the second or third school day they leave him on the extension of almost 17-18 pm. And such children ended up in my group (moreover, there were more boys in the group than girls).

I, as an educator, began to build my work from determining how much the students in my group have elementary rules and skills for their age. It turned out that many children in the group already knew how to read and count by the beginning of schooling. But at the same time, they didn’t know how, being in a team, to hear and listen to the teacher, they absolutely couldn’t figure out how to line up in a column in pairs, and to quietly walk through the school to the canteen during the lessons, it was out of the question. Many could not (or did not want to) dress and undress on their own after a walk, did not know how to tie ribbons on a hat and shoelaces.

Based on these observations, I decided to build my work on the principle of a kindergarten (only without daytime sleep) with the gradual introduction of elements of school life into it. In the education and upbringing of children, it has become necessary to move from the simple to the complex. I had to teach my first-graders, day after day, to perform not cunning, but daily repeated actions, which in the future made life easier for them at school. It turned out that it is imperative to voice out loud all your requirements and wishes, and constantly pronounce the actions necessary for the pupils. Gradually, the children were able to memorize all the rules of conduct imposed on them in the GPA, and began to understand what the teacher wants from them.

What I had to pay special attention to:

Gathering of the group under a ringing bell. This technique helped me a lot to set up children for work in the extended day group. The first 30 minutes after the lessons in the first grades are very hectic: some of the children stay for an extension, the other part is going to go home. Some parents start coming to the teacher, who is still in the classroom, with urgent questions and explanations about their child. In such an environment, the sound of a bell helps a lot to draw the attention of already tired students to the teacher.

Compulsory reminder to go to the toilet (especially before lunch and a walk), like in kindergarten. Pupils tired of lessons and shy children by nature can not go to the toilet on their own and endure until the last. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically remind children to go to the toilet in order to avoid difficulties in the dining room or on a walk.

Moving around the school in a column in pairs. For the first quarter, lining up in a column in pairs and quietly walking in this column to the dining room or wardrobe turned out to be a very difficult and almost impossible task for the guys. They couldn’t split into pairs, pushed around, tripped and stepped on each other’s feet, made noise, etc. Therefore, at first, I had to teach children to form in pairs and walk in a column. We did this with the students at the stadium during a walk.

Compliance with the rules of personal hygiene. An educator at the beginning of the school year should not rely on the consciousness of his young pupils. Not many of them will remember that they need to wash their hands before lunch or an afternoon snack on an extension. Therefore, it is necessary to remind children of the elementary rules of personal hygiene, make sure that the children wash their hands before eating and behave properly in the dining room. You can appoint a responsible student who will not forget to take a hand towel from the dining room for the whole group.

Assigning a permanent seat to the group in the canteen. If possible, for each extended day group consisting of first grade students, it is better to take their place in the dining room for lunch. Then the children will not run around it in search of an empty table and chair, but in an organized manner throughout the school year they will take the places allotted for them and have a quiet lunch. When several extended day groups have lunch at the same time in the school canteen, this rule becomes very relevant.

Mandatory duty in the canteen during lunch. It is advisable to appoint two or three students who would distribute spoons, forks and bread to their classmates with clean, washed hands before eating. Usually the guys like to be on duty in the canteen.

One of the serious problems that a teacher may face is that first-graders may not even touch the lunch offered to them and leave the dining room hungry. This may be due to several reasons: children are not yet used to school food; they are frightened or distracted from lunch at the same time by a large crowd of students in the cafeteria; if someone alone does not start eating soup, then everyone sitting at the table with him will most likely do the same. In this regard, the educator will need to explain to the children the benefits of healthy hot food, conduct games and classes on this topic. The teacher can negotiate with a child who refuses to eat so that he does not eat the whole soup, but for example, only the broth or not the whole main course, but only a side dish or a cutlet at his discretion. You can come up with various rewards, tricks with emoticons or stickers for those children who eat their school lunch completely after a certain period (for example, 1 or 2 weeks). The main thing is that children do not leave the school cafeteria hungry.

Compulsory daily air walk of at least one hour (even in rainy weather). You can divide the walk into two parts. In the first part of the walk, the teacher needs to involve children in sports or outdoor games of various types. Children at the age of 7 easily cope with games on the phone, but are completely unable to independently invent a game between peers, agree with the guys about its rules, start the game and bring it to the end. The play of children should be under the control of an adult. It is better for the teacher to introduce his pupils to new games, learn their rules and involve as many children from the group as possible to participate in them. The game of children should be carried out under the control of an adult. In such a free and informal environment, children can liberate themselves and show their abilities. Thus, you can quickly introduce the guys to each other, make them friends and identify the leader. In the second part of the walk, children can find activities according to their interests on their own or in small groups. A walk in the fresh air is one of the most important elements in the working hours of an extended day group. It contributes to the physical development of students, hardening and strengthening their health.

Mandatory high tea. Moreover, the afternoon snack should be mandatory, centralized and the same for all children from the group. Oddly enough, but children absolutely do not need to be persuaded to eat it. After an hour walk in the fresh air, where the guys play active games, they gobble it up with great appetite. As the employees of our canteen joke: “A snack is what children go to school for.”

From all of the above, the following conclusions can be drawn:

1. The teacher should carefully consider the schedule of the group’s movement around the school so as not to collide it with the bulk of high school students at recess after the 5th or 6th lessons. This is necessary so that the smallest and not yet adapted students are not pushed and offended by the rest of the (already quite experienced) students of the school, neither in the dining room, nor in the corridor, nor in the wardrobe.

2. Organize lunch in a clearly designated permanent place in the dining room.

3. Make sure that the students do not remain hungry during the extension.

4. Take your group for a walk in almost any weather.

5. So calculate the time for a walk and an afternoon snack on the days of the week in order to provide an afternoon snack even for those children who attend a school circle at this time. This wish can be applied to those schools in which the work time of the department of additional education for children coincides with the time of a walk in the GPA.

6. Create a friendly psychological atmosphere in your group so that no one is offended not only by your classmates, but also by older students. Creating such a warm informal environment around children is one of the most important tasks of the educator.

All this contributes to the passage of a difficult period of adaptation of a first-grader in an easier form. It’s like “getting over the flu without complications.”

And of course, the GPA educator needs to carry out constant work with parents in order to solve the difficult moments that arise in the life of a first grader together with them. It is necessary to explain to the parents that the extension is not a “storage room for children”, from where they can be picked up at the end of their working day. School is a very complex organism into which a child gets for a long time. And it is the teacher of the extended day group that is often the link between the teacher, the student and his parents.

Maybe everything that I have listed here has long been known to educators of the GPA, and they apply all this in their work. But for a person who for the first time took first-graders to an extended day group, the important points I have indicated in work can greatly facilitate the life of children at school in the afternoon, and make the work of the educator productive and fruitful.

The main indicator of the work of a talented teacher is that children are happy to hurry to school in the morning, and would not want to leave it at the end of their “working” day. And having left, they would dream of returning to it again. So that the school becomes their second home.

Tumasova Tatyana Andreevna – primary school teacher and educator of the GPA

After graduating from the St. Petersburg Higher Pedagogical School (college) No. 1 named after N.A. Nekrasov in 1998, she began her teaching career in a kindergarten as a teacher. And only in 2010 she came to school. First, as a primary school teacher, and (after the decree) in 2017, as a GPA educator.

School after school is a world of creativity, manifestation and disclosure by each child of his interests, his hobbies, his “I”. After all, the main thing is that at school a child makes a choice, freely manifests his will, reveals himself as a person. My task is to interest the child in activities after school, so that the school becomes a second home for him, which will make it possible to turn extracurricular activities into a full-fledged space for upbringing and education.

My principles:

•To love the child as he is.
• Respect the personality in every child, cultivating in him a sense of dignity and responsibility for himself and his actions.
• Praise, encourage, approve the child, creating a positive emotional atmosphere around him.
•Believe in the possibilities of every child, in the good that is inherent in him in the perspective of his development.
•To teach a child to work hard, care for others, respect for other people. Cultivate a desire to help.
•To notice not the shortcomings of the child, but the dynamics of his development.
•Make the child’s parents your allies in the upbringing.

Project technology in the day care group

Preparing for classes, teachers often thought about how to organize the teaching and upbringing process so that they could approach the issues being studied in a deeper and more versatile way. One of the trends in modern public education is the nature of systemic information processing. The leading role is given to the system-activity approach: the practical content of education, specific methods of activity, the acquisition of knowledge and skills in real life situations.

Children need to be taught how to assimilate information correctly, namely: to teach them to highlight the main thing, find connections and structure. In addition, it is necessary to teach and purposeful search for information, search activities. It is necessary to organize training in such a way as to identify the knowledge available to the student, update them, and then add what is missing, generalize and structure the educational material.

We must teach not just to memorize and reproduce knowledge, but to apply it in practice. It is obvious that the use of methods and methodological techniques that will form in schoolchildren the skills of independently obtaining new knowledge, collecting the necessary information, the ability to put forward hypotheses, draw conclusions and draw conclusions is becoming relevant in the pedagogical process today. The innovative search for new means leads teachers to the understanding that we need activity, group, game, practice-oriented, problematic, reflective and other forms, teaching methods, technologies.

One of the technologies that provides student-centered upbringing and education is the project method, as it practically incorporates other modern technologies, such as collaborative learning, for example. It is the project activity that allows you to educate an independent and responsible person, develops creativity and mental abilities.

Project technology belongs to the fourth generation of educational and upbringing technologies. This is one of the effective ways to develop the creativity (giftedness) of students. In addition, work on projects is an exciting, interesting and quite feasible for children organization of research activities of teachers and students. Details>> 90 7

  • Solving succession issues at the level of primary school teacher – kindergarten teacher

    SLIDE 1

    I took the words of L. S.
    Vygotsky “School education is never
starts from scratch but always builds on
    certain stage of development
    child.”

And before school, most of our
first-graders was a kindergarten, that is
    preschool educational institution.

    To talk about succession organization
at the teacher-educator level, we will define
    the concept of “succession”.

    SLIDE 2

    Succession is a continuous process
upbringing and education of a child who has common and
    specific goals for each age
period, that is, it is a relationship between different
stages of development, the essence of which is
preservation of certain elements of the whole or
individual characteristics during the transition to a new
    state (philosophical dictionary).

    SLIDE 3

    Continuity CONSIDERED AS TWO-WAY
process. On the one hand, preschool
    which forms fundamental personal
qualities of the child, and most importantly – preserves
“the joy of childhood” (N. N. Poddyakov). With another
sides – the school, as the successor picks up
achievements of the child and develops the accumulated
    potential.

    SLIDE 4

Such a process could be compared to
passing the “relay baton” from the educator
    me as a teacher.

    SLIDE 5

    succession process is to create
    conditions for effective and painless
transition of children from kindergarten to primary
    school.

    SLIDE 6

various preschool institutions in the city. Work with
    future students start long before
    their admission to school.

I make my first visit to kindergartens at the beginning
academic year, that is, one year before grade 1.

I work in three directions :

    • interaction with caregivers;
    • getting to know children through caregivers;
    • cooperation with parents (organized with
      help of teachers).
    • SLIDE 7

It has become a tradition in many kindergartens
      holding a parent-teacher meeting
the beginning of the school year. This primary form
dating future teachers is convenient because
allows parents to get to know
teachers and decide on the choice of school and
teachers. It’s much easier for me as a teacher
build further work already with their
      future students.

      SLIDE 8

The next practical step is individual
conversations with educators, where I get general
information about children, their level of development, information about
      individual characteristics of future students.

      All data can be compiled
psychological portrait of the future class.

In order to organize a unified educational
kindergarten and school spaces are made up with
educators plan visits to training sessions and
      events.

It is very important that in my work I rely on those
technologies, forms and methods of teaching, which
used by the educator in the organization
activities with students in the classroom.

      SLIDE 9

      new educational standard has become
      task
      to teach children to learn.

At present, the preschooler’s readiness for
schooling is not so much about
level of mental development how much in the level
      development of cognitive processes: memory,
attention, ability to generalize and differentiate
objects, in the awareness of ways to perform
actions, in mastering the skills of self-control and
      self-esteem.

Several years ago I saw classes in
      kindergartens, where skills were formed
      act according to plan, used
previously acquired knowledge and skills in the new
      activities.

Kindergarten teachers include in the process
      learning special learning tasks,
gradually complicating them, and thereby form
      preschoolers learning activity background.
      Development of independence in preschoolers
is the basis for a child’s successful education in
school. Such activities, conducted by educators,
as a form of education, precede the lesson at school.

      SLIDE 10

      Next direction : meeting children
      through educators.

Educators play an important role in determining
my status is a school teacher. Wherein
help me and the children to establish between themselves
      personal contact, to establish communication.

I think that an effective component of dating
with the future student are individual
      mini-classes organized for me
teacher in a kindergarten group. In a familiar
environment for the future student is much easier
open up. The content of these classes are
      trainings, developing exercises, didactic
      games, graphic dictations. Based
      pedagogical observations constitute the primary
      class diagnostic card indicating
      individual characteristics of future students.

      This diagnostic helps to prevent
disadaptation to school in future first-graders,
identify for themselves the children of the “risk” group:
hyperactive children, children with deficiency syndrome
attention, left-handed children, with a low level
      school readiness.

      SLIDE 11

      An important stage of interaction
      educator-teacher are organized for
preschoolers field trips to school and work
      “Saturday School” Educators not only
help to carry out these activities, but also
set children up for positive communication with
      teacher.

      Visiting the school library, school
canteen, swimming pool, lessons in elementary school, –
all this arouses interest in children, the desire to go to
school, removes fear and instills confidence in
      in their power.

In the “Sabbath School” classes, the central
the place is taken by the game. In every class, I
      games and fun exercises
contribute to the development of cognitive interest
students to the learning process. Observing
continuity, I use it in all classes
      visibility, colorful handouts,
I use the possibilities of the interactive complex.

Through our joint efforts, the educator and
teachers, a positive motivation is formed to
      learning.

      SLIDE 12

      preschool period is work with
      parents.

      Primary information communication with parents
impossible without the participation of educators. Information about
      individual consultations and
      parent meetings, dates
“Sabbath School” and many other questions are not
will be resolved if the caregiver does not provide assistance.

On the other hand, as a teacher, I carefully
I observe the communication style of the educator with
parents, take into account the peculiarities, remember
interesting findings in the organization of activities
in order to maintain continuity in
      work.

I think that the teacher together with the teacher
working on creating a system for parents
knowledge to prepare children for schooling.

      SLIDE 13

Communication with caregivers continues in the new
      academic year. Teachers oversee learning
      their pupils, attend classes, conduct
diagnostics. At the end of the adaptation
period for first-graders on an extended
meeting of the administration, teachers, educators
summing up the results of joint work, highlighting
successes, we plan ways of further development.

      SLIDE 14

I suggest further ways of interaction
      kindergarten and school :

      1. Conduct seminars for teachers and educators
on the succession of children’s programs
        garden and school.

    HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Volga in the vicinity of the ancient village of Rabotki, near the confluence of the Kudma River into the Volga River, a building was built – a palace of red brick with white columns. The building was built by the Deputy (Comrade) Minister of Education of Russia PRUTCHENKO Mikhail Borisovich .

The palace with a solemnly beautiful entrance and a balcony surrounded by blooming apple orchards made a great impression.

Initially, the building was built for charitable purposes, the laying ceremony was attended by ladies-in-waiting of the royal court and, according to some sources, incognito Tsaritsa Alexandra Feodorovna .

In 1916, after the illumination of the building by the rector of the Rabotkinskaya Church Fr. Vladimir , the first pupils settled in the building – orphans of the soldiers who fell on the fronts of the First World War.

Then the basic principle of teaching pupils, and later also students, was laid – to live, study and work in rural areas, real agricultural production in unity and communication with nature.

In 1918, a school-commune was organized in the building, in addition to the existing pupils and the teaching staff, homeless children from the Nizhny Novgorod province came.

In 1919 in the village of N. K. Krupskaya sails on the agitation ship “Red Star”. She shows care and attention to the pupils of the school-commune. The sailors of the Volga military flotilla take patronage over the school. Agricultural equipment, cows are purchased, and pupils provide themselves with food at the expense of their labor.

In 1924 the school received the official status of a school-commune with agricultural labour. By the decision of the Council of People’s Commissars of August 16, 1930, the school was transformed into the Rabotkinsky Agricultural (fruit and vegetable) technical school, and we consider this date to be the date of our formation.

In 1964, by joining the state farm “Fruit nursery” technical school, it was reorganized into a state farm-technical school.

In 1992, the state farm-technical school acquired the status of a state farm-college.

C 1999 years old – Rabotkinsky Agrarian College.

Since 2012 – the state budgetary educational institution of secondary vocational education “Rabotkinsky Agrarian College” – is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

First of all, stop panicking. According to anonymous surveys, every woman at least once in her life caught herself thinking about this.

Maternal instinct controls only those functions that are responsible for the survival of the baby. We will do everything possible so that nothing threatens the life and health of our child, no matter what it costs us. But since we are rational and social beings, concern for the survival of offspring alone is not enough. We demand so much more from ourselves – to always love and be in emotional contact.

But love is not issued with a birth certificate: it is honed and grows with the child and you as parents. Few of us have been taught to cope with the difficulties of parenting.

Let’s see how we can help ourselves.

    Feeling of guilt

From the point of view of biology, irritation is a signal that you need to pay attention to your condition, switch to yourself. First of all, it is worth removing the feeling of guilt, if any, and admitting: yes, I am annoyed. You are a living person – not a robot and not an ideal image from books on child psychology. Perhaps you are too immersed in a child or life. But now you need yourself first of all, not the child.

    <>

    Task: inhale-exhale.

Rhythmize joint activities with your child. Give him full attention for a while, and then switch to your own business by offering him something that he can do on his own in a safe environment. Of course, the baby needs to be monitored, but if he is busy and in your field of vision, you can do something for yourself. Try to create such a rhythm, and you will see that, having been nourished by contact with you, the child can study on his own for some time, and with age this time becomes longer. You only need to maintain this rhythm and be sincerely included in the moments when you are doing something together.

    Physical fatigue

Motherhood is a round-the-clock and difficult job in which it is vital to organize a balance of work and rest. Assess how satisfied your physical needs are. Good food, sleep, walking alone, pleasant sports, massages are not whims, but a necessity.

May need to see a doctor or be tested for deficiencies. Yes, sometimes it is difficult to find the time and energy to take care of yourself among the cares of the child and the maintenance of life, but this is what will give you the resource that is not enough.

Don’t be afraid to ask others for help: do something for you or babysit. The kid, if he is already ready to let you go, is also useful to be with other confidants. And it is important for an older child to learn the physical care of their needs by your example.

    Task: body scan.

Every day, for example before going to bed or after waking up, take a look at your body. What does he lack? What is too much? Ask yourself: how can I take care of myself and how do I organize it?

    Emotional burnout

A parent needs to constantly deal with emotions – his own and his child’s. Breakthrough of feelings every day. Sometimes this can make you feel like you had to work with a jackhammer at a construction site all day. In a sense, it is.

At the same time, the life of a parent can be very meager, similar to Groundhog Day. Think about how you can diversify it: get more pleasant emotions? Try something new?

Great burnout prevention is communication. Do not be silent about your difficulties: share emotions with friends, look for communities of moms with children your age and older to share experiences and just have a good time together. Consciously seek understanding, laugh at the difficulties experienced. There’s a mom around here right now that’s experiencing the same thing.

Task: laughter as a cure for irritation.

Pour out your feelings on paper or a trusted person. When the primary tension has passed, try to look for something funny in these situations. Repeat your dialogue with your child in a drawl or in a ridiculous accent. Transfer the experienced episode to a comical setting. Ask yourself what your favorite comedian would do if you were in your position. Look for inspiration in public memes about motherhood – sometimes it’s just saving.

    Control instead of relationships

The child’s psyche is still immature in all respects. He does not have the same speed of thought, level of awareness and ability to plan as you do. Therefore, most likely, every day something does not go according to your plan. The personality of the child also does not develop in everything as you imagined before his birth.

Assess your expectations and check them against reality. Too rigid settings interfere with enjoying relationships with a child. Parenting is a true resilience training. Take a deep breath and let go of unnecessary expectations. After all, he is just a child and he follows his own path.

    <>

    Job: waiting list.

Write your list of expectations from your child: “I want him to neatly fold his things”, “I want him to get into a good university”, “I want him to pack faster”. Now add the opposite to each of the points: “But he has the right to put them together the way he wants”, “But he has the right to choose a profession to his liking”, “But he can become more independent if he gathers himself.” Stay with these thoughts – it should become easier.

    Personal expectations

It is difficult to transfer responsibility for a child’s life. But even more difficult is not to hang on him the responsibility for yours. Many parents have the feeling that from now on their whole life should be dedicated to the child. Isn’t it too heavy a load for a new person?

Yes, you won’t be as free as before. But child-centrism has never made anyone happy.

Task: a step towards a dream.

Write down what you dreamed about before having a baby, and carefully review this list. Some dreams really have to say goodbye. Do it consciously and allow yourself to experience the bitterness of what can no longer be realized. You have the right to feel sad. Stay with her. Come up with a small parting ritual, like a letter that you can burn.

Now look at the dreams that are still alive. Think about what small step you can take towards realizing them right now. One action to feel that your life is still yours.

This is much better than being angry at a child for giving him “the best years”. After all, he didn’t ask for it.

    Growth spurts and separation

Child irritation is part of the hormonal plan that nature has come up with for us. Moms who have stopped breastfeeding admit that they no longer feel such a deep connection with the baby, and sometimes they don’t feel like they belong at all. Parents of a teenager may notice that they no longer like the smell of their own child. Biology took care of all this: life is designed so that the chicks do not linger in their parental nests.

Each crisis that you accompany a child, spending a huge amount of energy, ends for him with a transition to a new stage of independence. He needs you less and less. And instead of sharing the joy of his new skills, you may feel empty and used. This means that separation, separating yourself from the child, is not your meaningful goal. Perhaps deep down you find it difficult to trust nature and let him go.

Task: meditate on the phrase “I will be an adult for you only as long as you cannot be one yourself” . What feelings does it evoke in you? Could this be your goal?

    Conclusion

Children evoke very strong feelings in us throughout parenthood. They are closely connected with every layer of our life: from the superficial, everyday to the deeply moral.

But relationships with them are not the whole life. And if your child infuriates you, then surely not only him. Look honestly at your life and change what needs to be changed.

In Africa, they say: “It takes a whole village to raise one child” – and they hardly exaggerate. But we live in a world where parents most often bring up children only together, and sometimes even alone. According to statistics, almost a third of children are raised by mothers alone. In such circumstances, it is impossible to always experience only good emotions towards the child. We asked a psychologist to answer questions that many mothers hesitate to ask.

Tarologist told why the death of a child is dreamed of

    Society

    Photo: pixabay.com

Dreams about the death of children can be interpreted in different ways. Usually they portend a long life for the child, despite temporary difficulties or illnesses. Tarot reader and parapsychologist Galina Yanko told about this to “Evening Moscow”.

    — Of course, a dream about the death of one’s own child causes many unpleasant emotions. But interpreters warn: such a dream does not predict the future. It says that you are too preoccupied with the life of your child, you experience certain worries and fears, – Yanko explained.

She noted that if a child is near death in a dream, this means that an alarming period will come in your real life. The problems are mostly financial. If death occurs on the street, then soon you will start quarrels with loved ones. If death overtook in your own home, the dream warns of financial problems. If in a dream you see exactly how this happens, then in reality you will be able to influence significant events. If the child comes to life, then you realize your dream.

    Significance for men

If a man had a dream about the death of a child, in reality he experiences financial difficulties and fears the collapse of his career. Often such a dream comes on the eve of making fateful decisions. To make the right choice, listen to your intuition.

    Significance for women

If a pregnant girl has a dream, it symbolizes the fears associated with future motherhood and childbirth. If a woman who has children sees a dream about the loss of a child, then she is worried about their health. For a childless woman, a dream indicates a fear of being left without children.

    According to Miller’s dream book

A dream speaks of real fears and experiences. If you see how the dead man came to life, then in reality they will try to slander you. Seeing your child in the coffin – to a long period of stagnation in all matters.

According to the dream book Wangi

Seeing your child dead in a dream means a prosperous life awaits him in reality. If a child died in your arms, be attentive to his environment: they will try to drag him into an adventure.

    According to Freud’s dream book

Seeing your child dead in a dream means that he will have health problems in reality. If a child dies in your arms, then you should offer him help, without waiting for real problems. If an accident occurs, then quarrels with relatives await you. When it is you who are to blame for the accident, you have to correct some mistakes. If you see your child in a coffin, then in reality a long period of difficulties begins.

Head Start and Early Head Start

Head Start and Early Head Start programs are free, federally funded programs designed to promote school readiness for children from low-income families. Early Head Start serves pregnant women and families with children under age 3. Head Start programs serve children between 3 and 5 years old.

These programs encourage parent involvement through regular visits to the child’s home, regular opportunities for parents to volunteer in the program, and special activities. Head Start and Early Head Start programs also link children and families to other services in the community.

Head Start programs are operated by local nonprofit organizations, community action agencies, and school districts. Children who attend these programs participate in various educational activities. They also receive some free medical and dental care services, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.

Head Start programs help all participating children succeed. They are required to serve children with special needs, such as physical and developmental delays or homelessness.

Head Start and Early Head Start programs must follow many federal requirements. Depending on the rules in your state, these programs may or may not be required to be licensed in addition to meeting federal requirements.

You can learn more about these programs by visiting the Head Start website. You’ll find more information on the kinds of services that are offered to enrolled children. You can also find out if you are eligible for services. The online program locator is available to help you find a program in your area. Once you find a local program, you can contact the program to learn more about how to apply for Head Start services.

Tips for Choosing This Type of Care

    • Ask whether your family qualifies for Head Start services and if your local program has any openings for children your child’s age.

    • Ask about the programs hours and if the program is available in the summer. Make sure that the program is open when you need care. If you need full-day or full-year care and the Head Start program doesn’t offer this, ask about partnerships with other child care providers that can care for your child when Head Start is not open.

    • Ask about what types of services you and your child will receive and whether there are any other requirements.

    • Ask about the program’s staff turnover rate (how frequently staff leave). If a program experiences a large amount of turnover, your child could experience many transitions to new teachers. A high turnover rate could also mean that there are issues that could affect the quality of the program.

    • Ask what curriculum is used. Also ask the provider to explain the types of daily activities planned for the children, and how those activities will support your child’s learning.

    • Ask about information and activities provided for parents. Ask if the program provides opportunites for parents to learn about how their children are doing or talk about their children’s progress.

    • Print a list of questions and things to look for that you can take with you when visiting a potential child care program.

Why Families Choose This Type of Care

Many families choose Head Start because of the free high-quality comprehensive early childhood services. Families may like that their children are cared for in groups with other children the same age. They may also appreciate the additional federal requirements that Head Start programs must meet.

State-Funded Preschool in Colorado | CDE

What is the Colorado Preschool Program (CPP)?

CPP is a state-funded, district-run, preschool program. CPP is intended to serve preschool-aged children who are at risk of starting elementary school unprepared due to individual or family factors.  Eligibility determination and the enrollment process are coordinated at a local level.

To find out about CPP options in your community, use the Family Contact Directory to find the school district representative who can help you.

What is Preschool Special Education and Child Find?

Preschool special education is a state and federally mandated program for three and four-year-old children who are experiencing challenges in their learning and development and meet state eligibility criteria for special education and related services.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is my child eligible for CPP?

Child and family qualifying factors must be present in a child’s life in order for a child to be fit for CPP. These factors are determined by the legislature and are not based on income alone. Learn more about legislated eligibility criteria.

What are the age requirements for CPP?

The eligibility date for preschool is the same as the eligibility date for kindergarten in your district. A child must be 3, 4 or 5 by the district’s kindergarten age cut-off date, which can be no later than October 1.

    • If a child is three years old, the child must have three significant family risk factors in their life that put him or her at risk for later school challenges.
    • If a child is served as a four- or five-year-old, the child must be age-eligible for kindergarten the next year and have one significant family risk factor present in their lives. They may only participate in CPP for one year.
    • If a child is old enough to attend kindergarten, they cannot be funded by CPP to attend the second year in preschool.

If my family moves, will my child stay in CPP?

Since each school district manages its own program, your child’s spot in CPP cannot be transferred. If you move to a new school district, you will need to go through the enrollment process again in the new district. Because resources are limited, availability for placement cannot be guaranteed when a family moves from district to district.

20 online resources to help keep kids educated and occupied

Kids are now spending more time at home – to keep them entertained, you can offer them many different online courses: from English and communicating with children around the world to a course in modeling or animation. Our blogger Elena Abramova has collected 20 platforms where you can find free courses.

The school portal will become a mandatory virtual turnout for children and teenagers in a week, but they still have a lot of free time for exciting activities. Self-isolation limits walks and games with friends, but gives time to explore the vast expanses of the Internet. Entertain the kids you didn’t send to kindergarten and encourage teens to stay at home with these resources.

      Let’s start with the lessons

There are many online platforms that offer quality educational content.

      1. Skills4u.ru — the platform has opened full free access to slice tests and lessons in the Russian language (grades 1-11, OGE, USE, VPR) and mathematics (grades 1-7) until April 15.

      2. Eschool.pro – will help schoolchildren in grades 1-8 learn math and Russian for free online in a playful way.

      3. Khan Academy – free online courses in mathematics, physics, biology and other disciplines for children and teenagers from 4 to 18 years old. By studying school subjects in English, you can also improve your foreign language.

      4. Puzzle English — on the platform for independent learning of English, until May 1, full free access to two initial courses of the Teacher Method is open – the “Children’s Course” (88 lessons for children from 5 to 12 years old) and the Beginner course ( 198 lessons for beginners to learn English) for high school students and their parents.

      5. Drawing and drafting lessons for beginners is a free online resource that will help schoolchildren improve their drawing skills, as well as begin to grow into the profession of future architects.

      6. Umnasia is an online platform where elementary school students can try their hand at subject Olympiads for free.

      Communication and hobbies for schoolchildren

It will be easier for children to cope with isolation if they can discuss the situation with their peers, and also engage in exciting activities.

      1. iDialogue is a free online platform for collaborative learning and cross-cultural communication for teenagers from 90 countries. Until April 30, she is holding a challenge – children from different countries can work on joint projects in the field of ecology. Since March 23, discussion of coronavirus and quarantine has been open in the Community section – children can discuss the situation with friends and practice English at the same time.

      2. JuniorUni is a free online Goethe-Institut university for teenagers that provides knowledge in the field of robotics and astronautics, technology, energy and sustainable development, and also helps to improve the German language.

      3. MyBook – the largest subscription book service offers a month of free subscription to the standard catalog (140,000 e-books) for those who stayed at home due to quarantine (promo code STAYHOME). In total, the resource catalog contains more than 250,000 electronic and audio books in Russian, English and many other languages.

      4. Tilly

How much: 10 tasks per day – free, full access – from 83 R per month
Age: from 2 to 7 years old

Tilly has developed courses for children from two years of age and to prepare those who are older for school. Children learn to distinguish colors, learn the names of the cubs of different animals, and train to determine whether an object is flat or three-dimensional in a picture.

And for future first-graders, classes help to understand the system of sounds and letters of the Russian language and mathematical concepts that will be needed at school: addition and subtraction, even and odd numbers, the number line and the composition of the number.

Classes are held in the form of interactive exercises. Children watch theory slides and listen to the speaker’s comments, and then complete tasks: they try to substitute the desired mathematical sign in an example or find where the stress falls in a word.

Classes are designed to meet Federal State Educational Standards, which encourage families to be involved in the learning process. Therefore, part of the exercises – for example, from the speech therapy block – children will be able to perform only together with their parents. Once a day, Tilly sends homework: this helps the child to study regularly, and parents do not waste time looking for suitable exercises.

The creators of the “Children’s Art School Online” decided to look at the world around children from the point of view of art and talk to schoolchildren in a language they understand.

For example, they offer to study the basics of photography at a selfie master class, and at a course on creating a non-standard avatar, children will learn about the history of a portrait in world painting. Teachers will tell children who love to dance how to conquer Tik-Tok, and parents will be helped to find a common language with a teenager — for example, by turning the mess in his room into an art installation together.

And then they will learn about the practical skills that any multiplier needs. The lessons themselves are not long – 20-25 minutes, but after each one they give homework: it will help you get your hand in before you start creating a real cartoon.

Programming courses on this site are more like puzzles: students use blocks with ready-made commands to solve game problems: for example, help an artist draw a picture from a stencil or a bird — get out of the maze.

      What to do? 06/15/17

I want my child to have enough to study. How to save up for education?

Even those who cannot read yet can study. Actions on simple levels are indicated by icons, but the essence remains the same: to solve the problem, you will have to figure out in what order to perform actions, how cycles work, and how variable numerical values change the behavior of characters on the screen.

If you are tired of the same type of tasks, you can make your own project: program a mini-game or make colorful characters dance to the music. For inspiration, it is convenient to use the archive of other people’s work: all projects are published with open source so that students can exchange ideas and experiences with each other.

In order for the artist to draw the roof of the house exactly along the lines, you need to arrange the lines of code in the correct order and substitute the correct values

      Aitigenio

How much: from 550 R for a two-hour lesson, the first lesson is free
      Age: from 8 years old

This online school is suitable for children who want to try their hand at programming, but do not know where to start.

There are no ready-made programs in ITGenio: the course is individually adjusted to the interests and abilities of the child, and the direction of learning can be changed at any time – for example, switch from game programming in Scratch to programming in Minecraft or completely engage in Photoshop or 3D modeling .

Classes are not held in groups, but one-on-one with a teacher: you can choose a convenient time and study at your own pace.

If a child gets bored with programming, you can try your hand at creativity – for example, learn 3D modeling

“School of programmers” is not an entertainment course, but full additional education with a program for several years. Classes are held according to the schedule in the mode of webinars: students communicate live with teachers, write and submit code for verification, and immediately receive feedback. There are a lot of lessons: every week 4 hours are allotted only for compulsory classes, and each student can also choose electives according to interests, for example, web design, information security or robotics.

Students in grades 2-11 can enter the school, the program depends on age. To enroll, you will have to pass exams: those who fail to cope with tasks in mathematics, logic and algorithms are unlikely to be enrolled in the course.

You can enroll in the main department of the “School of Programmers” only at the beginning of the academic year. For those who want to see how the classes are going and learn something new right now, an additional registration for special courses and free lessons is opened during the year.

Children who attend the “School of Programmers” from the fifth grade will have mastered two programming languages by the eighth grade: Python and C++

The Children and Science project is not an addition, but an alternative to school lessons in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. Online courses for the portal were created by the best Russian teachers who do not want to work with outdated textbooks and programs. Previously, only students from several elite Moscow schools could attend their author’s classes, but now they are available to anyone with an Internet connection.

Each course consists of video lectures, notes, game assignments and a final test that will help assess how well the child has mastered the program. Each student chooses the pace and trajectory of learning for himself: for some, it is enough to look over the notes to catch all the most important things, and for some, they want to watch several related lectures on different subjects before moving on to the next thematic block.

Letovo is a special private boarding school, which is more important to find a talented child than a family that can pay for education. Children are accepted on the basis of a strict competitive selection, and scholarships that can cover up to 100% of the cost of education help to solve the financial issue. Although Letovo is located in Moscow, children from all over the country can enter there: for students from other cities, there is a campus with accommodation buildings on the territory of the school.

To help talented children prepare for exams and make a good education accessible, Letovo teachers have created an online school. On this portal, students can check their level of knowledge in school subjects: the test will show which topics have gaps and offer materials that will help improve the result.

Letovo.Online also invites children to try their hand at solving Olympiad problems, and if this still doesn’t work, you can watch webinars where teachers explain the logic of solving competitive tasks. Or join an online circle to prepare for the Olympiads with other schoolchildren. True, you won’t be able to start right away: the next set will be only in September.

Give your wallet a break! These cheap dogs cost way less in the long-term.

    By freelance writer Erica Loop

You’re itching to get a playful pup, but need a pet that’s also easy on your wallet? Does this mean that “cheap dogs” are the category du jour when it comes to the pick of the canines?

While some dogs come with very little or no upfront fees, they may have a hefty price tag as time goes on. From grooming to obedience training, some pups require a greater investment than others.

Before you cross any breed off your list, check out these budget-friendly pooches that are low on the long-term costs.

Are you searching for a dog sitter? Find one in your area now.

    1. Greyhound

These super-sleek dogs are low on grooming needs, according to the National Greyhound Adoption Program (NGAP). This makes their care and upkeep easy on your wallet.

    2. Bull Terriers

They’re canines with character and have fairly few hereditary conditions attached to their breed, according to the Bull Terrier Club. This lowers your vet bill, in comparison to dogs who are prone to chronic medical issues.

    3. Weimaraner

With short fur, these dogs won’t continuously cost you grooming fees. Weimaraners are also easy to train, notes the American Kennel Club (AKC). Less time in “doggie school” equals less costs to you.

    4. Collie

Even though no one can guarantee the complete health of your pet, the Collie Rescue Network notes that this breed has few genetic medical problems and are likely to only need an annual check-up. One visit per year keeps your medical costs to a bare minimum.

    5. Beagle

A hardy dog, the beagle won’t take your credit card on a trip to the vet every month. It’s also low on grooming and only needs one meal a day, according to The Beagle Club.

    6. Chihuahua

Why spend your savings on a home and backyard maintenance just to fit your larger-than-life pup? This teeny tiny breed can live in a studio apartment without much fuss.

    7. Dachshund

What’s one advantage to owning a dachshund? They’re light on shedding. Not only does this nix trips to the groomer, but it means that you can keep your furniture and clothes fur-free without having to pay extra cleaning costs.

    8. Bichon Frise

Another low-shedder, these pups are hypoallergenic according to the AKC, cutting down the costs that allergy sufferers may have on meds. They’re also easy on the training bill and their small size often equals a lower food budget.

    9. Labrador Retriever

Easy obedience makes this breed a gracious guide and rescue dog, according to the AKC. Even though you’ll need to invest initially in some training, your Labrador probably won’t need long-term lessons.

    10. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Yes, these precious pups cost a pretty penny upfront. That said, the AKC says they’re smart, obedient, gentle and easy enough to train that you won’t need to hand over all of your hard-earned money to a dog behaviour specialist. Their small stature also means less money for food and the ability to live in a smaller (and less costly) home.

Even though it’s not a breed, don’t forget about the adult shelter dog. Not only does this pooch have a low up-front cost, but the payment goes back to the shelter — helping other animals who need homes. Opting for an older pet may also mean that you get a trained dog who leaves behind less messes. This saves you cash on obedience classes and cleaning!

Keep in mind, cheap dogs don’t equal bargain basement deals. The ASPCA warns against buying dogs that come from puppy mills. A puppy mill is a mass breeding operation that sells their animals to brokers and pet stores.

Due to overcrowding, poor living conditions and the lack of proper medical treatment, dogs from these mills often have diseases, chronic conditions and behaviour problems.

43 Best Small Dog Breeds — Popular Toy Dog Breeds for Tiny Spaces

    arasakitakayuki

Large dog breeds can be adorable bundles of joy that bring bounds of energy into your home. But if you live in a smaller apartment or have one or more young kinds running around the house, then a smaller pup may be the right choice for you and your family. Plus, if this will be your first time adopting a puppy, small dog breeds may feel less daunting to take care of — never mind that they will ultimately cost less to feed given their size. From pups with short legs to teacup doggies, you are sure to find the newest (and cutest) member of your family.

Everyone has their favorite dog breed, but there are more than a few pros to adopting a small dog. Not only will you find yourself buying less food and treats, but they may also make less noise (with the exception of the Dachshund and Pomeranian, to name a few). Their smaller stature also makes them ideal companions for seniors. Some of these breeds are even hypoallergenic, and you’ll find a lots of variety in coat type and color, from hairless breeds to small white dogs.

Small dog breeds are tiny poofs of fur and love, ready to curl up on your lap or play fetch for hours on end, depending on their personality and activity levels. Some of these pups can also be classified as teddy bear dog breeds. So, if you have been scrolling through the American Kennel Club trying to find your newest family member, this list will help you narrow down your search.

list of hypoallergenic dog breeds for apartments

Getting a pet is a dream of almost everyone since childhood. What could be better than an affectionate friend who joyfully meets at the door, brings slippers and crawls under the covers on cold evenings to warm numb heels? However, not everyone can afford the luxury of having a dog.

Despite the strong desire to buy a puppy, sometimes a number of reasons stop us from such a decision. Disagreement of parents, lack of time to walk a furry friend, insufficient area of a small apartment … But in some cases, even after overcoming such serious “against” arguments, one of us still deprives ourselves of this incredible opportunity – to get a dog.

According to statistics, about 20% of the world’s population has some degree of allergy to dogs. At one glance at a pet, they begin to sneeze, itch and become covered with a rash all over their body, and some even choke.

    What causes allergies?

Research has shown that dogs are not the main cause of allergic symptoms. The most likely causes of allergies are:

    • Wool . Dog hair tends to be updated about once a month, filling with air particles, settling on furniture, interior items and clothing. Therefore, long-haired dogs are a real taboo for allergy sufferers.
    • Dandruff . In addition to wool as such, an allergic reaction can be caused by dandruff that it releases. However, different breeds produce different amounts of dandruff particles.
    • Dirt . Even clean owners who constantly wash their pets’ paws after street walks, take care of their hair and bathe them regularly, cannot completely get rid of the dust, dirt, pollen and debris that dogs bring into the house.
    • Drooling . Some pets are less slobbery than others, but even this won’t keep allergy sufferers from having a reaction, as saliva can spread around the room, escaping along with barking.

As a result, it turns out that even the most well-groomed and combed dog is the source of all the troubles of allergy sufferers.

But who said that it is impossible to have an allergy and a dog at the same time? Indeed, in the modern world, special breeds of dogs have been bred that do not cause allergies. They emit such a small percentage of allergens that they do not excite any negative reactions of the body.

So don’t give up on your dreams and true friend! Just get a hypoallergenic dog and enjoy life together.

How to choose a dog breed if you have allergies?

When choosing a breed, in addition to personal preferences and tastes, it is worth considering some characteristics of the animal that will reduce the risk of allergic reactions. These features include:

    • Wool length. The shorter the dog’s coat, the less often and in smaller volumes it sheds.
    • Size . For allergy sufferers and asthmatics, hypoallergenic dogs of small breeds are ideal. And it’s easier to keep it in an apartment.
    • Classic muzzle structure. As a rule, such breeds are characterized by reduced salivation, which means they are not such a strong source of allergen.
    • Character . People with allergies are more suitable for dogs with a calm and balanced disposition.
    • Status . When buying a puppy, you should pay attention to the condition of his coat and look for fleas, lichen and other health problems.

And, of course, you should study the list of hypoallergenic domestic dog breeds. The cost of such pets, as a rule, is much higher. But the price often also depends on the pedigree, awards received at exhibitions and competitions, so it’s quite possible to pick up “according to your wallet”.

    American Hairless Terrier

The main feature of the American Terrier is the lack of hair, which makes the breed ideal for allergy sufferers. True, instead of “hair” you will have to take care of your pet’s skin, lubricate it with sunscreen in the summer and protect it from the cold in winter.

Hairless terriers grow up to 8 kg, so they are more likely to be medium or larger types of dogs. They have a cheerful and playful temperament, so terriers are excellent companions for both adults and children.

    Greyhound

Greyhounds are hunting dogs belonging to the greyhound variety. They can rightly be called champions in terms of running, because they are one of the few breeds that can catch a hare.

Dogs are very smart and easy to train, have a strong, muscular build, long legs. The dogs are quite large, capable of growing up to 40 kg, so carefully consider buying a Greyhound if you live in a one-room apartment, as it can be uncomfortable in cramped quarters.

    Bichon Frize

These fluffy, white dogs belong to the group of French lapdogs. By nature, they are playful, good-natured and active, so they will become excellent companions for children and active people.

Despite the long coat, the pet will not cause difficulties in care. The structure of the wool is as close as possible to the human hair, so it will not cause any allergic reactions.

    Shih Tzu

This breed appeared in ancient times in China, and in translation it means “beautiful dog”. Until 1920, having a Shih Tzu was allowed only at the court of the Chinese emperor, but now almost every resident of not only a palace, but also an apartment can afford such a breed.

Despite their small size and harmless appearance, dogs are very loyal and ready to stand up for their master if they feel a significant threat.

    Yorkshire Terrier

In recent years, Yorkies have become one of the most popular decorative breeds. The small size of the dog did not prevent her from gaining a bold and persistent disposition.

As with the Bichon Frize, the Yorkshire Terrier’s coat is very similar to human hair, and therefore this breed is also suitable for allergy sufferers.

    Brussels Griffon

Brussels Griffons are small but brave dogs, they will make excellent guards in the apartment. However, this breed is not suitable for families with children, as they do not tolerate careless treatment.

Although Griffons do not have a short coat, they do not shed, so they are suitable for people with allergies.

    Chinese Crested Dog

Chinese Crested Dogs can be either completely hairless or partially covered with hair in the area of paws, tail and muzzle. They are suitable for allergy sufferers, as they are odorless and do not shed.

The dog was bred for only one purpose – to become a friend to man, because they have neither hunting nor security skills.

    Irish Water Spaniel

The largest and oldest of the spaniels. Due to their playful and cheerful nature and frequent “antics”, they received the nickname “jesters”.

This breed is rare in our country, and Ireland is considered the native home of water spaniels.

    Poodle

Another decorative and allergy-free breed. Poodles are very intelligent and easy to train dogs, which is often the reason why they perform in circuses.

The coat of poodles requires proper care and is often the object of fashionable haircuts.

    Hungarian Shepherd Dog

Another name for the breed is Komondor.

The dog was bred for shepherd’s purpose, because thanks to its long and curly coat the dog is perfectly camouflaged among the flock of sheep. In terms of size, Komondors reach incredible dimensions, equating to mastiffs and St. Bernards, but they are significantly inferior in weight, because they have light bones.

    Irish Terrier

Hardy, hunting dog that has a very fine intellect.

Irish Terriers do not have an undercoat, they do not shed, and their body hardly accumulates dirt and dust, and therefore they deserve the attention of dog lovers with allergies.

    American Bulldog

Despite their aggressive appearance, Bulldogs are considered friendly and caring dogs that are warm to their “family”. The breed perfectly combines the skills of a guard and a nanny – not only are they not dangerous for children, but they will also become excellent friends and playmates.

    Samoyed dog

Another ancient type of dog that is gaining popularity among city dwellers. White “fluffies” are soft not only on the outside, but also on the inside. By nature, they are very good-natured and charming, but they also harmoniously combine endurance and inner strength. Samoyeds grow quite large, and their wool is very pliable and easy to comb out, it does not have a pronounced smell.

    Maltese

Another variety of lapdogs. The growth of an adult rarely exceeds 25 cm, which makes it an ideal tenant for a small apartment. And a complaisant and balanced temperament is a full-fledged and beloved family member. However, it is worth paying attention to some features of the health of the Maltese, because they are predisposed to asthma.

    Giant Schnauzer

The largest of the Schnauzers, this species grows up to 70 cm and 60 kg, so it is recommended to start owners of three-room or four-room apartments. They need more space for a comfortable stay, because dogs are very active and mobile.

The main character trait of Giant Schnauzers can be called fidelity and devotion to the owner – the breed was bred to play the role of a guard, companion, bloodhound and “employee” of law enforcement agencies.

    Miniature Schnauzer

This breed also belongs to Schnauzers, however, it does not differ in large sizes. The appearance of the miniature schnauzer is quite remarkable and recognizable by the presence of a “beard” on the muzzle. The breed is highly valued for its high intelligence and bold character, as well as its coat, which is not subject to seasonal molting, which makes miniature schnauzers ideal companions for asthmatics and allergy sufferers.

    Wirehaired Fox Terrier

Also a very memorable breed, due to the beautiful color and increased shaggy muzzle. Fox terriers grow small, their height at the withers reaches only 40 cm. But do not underestimate them, because behind their small size lies great strength and good physical fitness.

    Basenji

The African barking dog is also one of the oldest breeds in the world. The dog not only has a beautiful appearance, but also has excellent immunity and good health, an extraordinary mind and affectionate disposition.

However, the nature of the basenji in the apartment and on the street is significantly different. If at home they are complaisant and calm, then on a walk the dogs prefer to dominate. You need to have stamina and self-confidence in order to control and educate the Basenji.

    Jack Russell Terrier

Remarkably, these little darlings of city flats are born hunters, whose breeding began in the 19th century in England. But even today, Jack Russell skills are often used in a fight with a wild animal and hunting in holes.

Mostly wire-haired species do not cause allergies.

    Maltipu

Half toy poodle, half Maltese. The breed is considered decorative, and the maximum weight of the maltipu reaches only 5 kg.

Miniature makes the Maltipoo very charming and cute, like a soft toy. Despite the increased playfulness, liveliness and curiosity, stupid dogs cannot be called stupid. Mostly, children will like the maltipu, as they love hugs, tenderness and affection.

    Affenpinscher

The breed belongs to the Miniature Pinscher. By nature, the dogs are very docile and well trained, they are also perfect for families with small children who have allergies. In our area, the breed is quite rare.

    Airedale Terrier

The breed was named after the valley in Yorkshire where the dog comes from. Airedales are very emotional dogs, and their mood is very easy to understand by the position of the tail and ears, as well as by the expression of the eyes. The breed is distinguished not only by sociability, but also by increased self-confidence, therefore it requires thorough education and training.

    Border Terrier

Very cute, small dogs bred in Scotland to hunt foxes and badgers. Now they have become excellent companions for owners with allergies. Due to good health and immunity, Border Terriers live a long time. Sometimes their age can reach 18 years.

    French Bulldog

Another representative of the Bulldog family, which was bred as a fighting breed. The color of French Bulldogs is very diverse, in the care of dogs they require a balanced diet, they do not tolerate heat very well.

The fighting temperament of these little bulldogs has long since faded into the background. In the family, they are very gentle and affectionate, as well as patient, so you can safely start such a breed if there are children in the house.

    Whippet

Smooth-haired breed of greyhounds, which can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h on straight distances. Thanks to this, dogs are distinguished by well-developed muscles and endurance, as well as good health and balance. Unlike other varieties of greyhounds, Whippets are not so large in size, which makes it easy to take them on trips, which, by the way, they really love.

    Chihuahua

One of the most popular dogs today, which has a small size and hypoallergenic properties. The main disadvantage of the breed is its poor health and predisposition to chronic diseases.

    Papillon

Decorative companion dog with its inalienable zest – graceful beautifully shaped ears. Dogs are very smart and hyperactive, require a long walk and constant attention. They get along well not only with households, but also with other pets, especially with cats.

    Miniature Bull Terrier

Hypoallergenic dogs that differ from the regular Bull Terrier only in small size. The dog is harmoniously built, has a strong body structure and pronounced muscles. It adapts very well to life in an apartment, but does not like loneliness and requires constant “release of energy” and physical activity.

    Greyhound

Greyhound replenishes the list of hypoallergenic greyhounds – a graceful, slender hound dog, which is very friendly and playful, loves outdoor games. However, the fragile, thin body of the greyhound makes it the object of frequent injuries and fractures. The main disadvantage of Italian greyhounds is their frequent growling and barking in the apartment. Therefore, the ideal place for her maintenance will be a house or a cottage, where she can run and bark to her heart’s content.

    Mexican hairless dog

A very rare breed in our area with an unusual and remarkable appearance, whose homeland is Mexico. Some argue that this is the oldest dog in existence. Due to the absence of hair and the presence of pleasantly smooth skin, the Mexican hairless dog is suitable for people who suffer from allergies.

The list of hypoallergenic dogs is constantly updated, because new breeds and types are constantly appearing. This diversity allows even the most desperate owners of allergies and asthma to acquire a devoted friend and faithful companion.

How important is a dog for a person? For the main part of the people, she is a wonderful friend and an excellent companion. Usually, small and beautiful dogs of decorative breeds are chosen for living in a city apartment, although there are exceptions.

Why are small breed dogs mostly kept in apartments? They are easier to maintain. And joys are delivered no less, and sometimes even more than large brothers.

So, how do you choose which is better?

    Contents:

    1. Dog dimensions . If you choose a small dog, you will get the following advantages: it requires very little space to keep it, you can keep it in a very small apartment, you can first teach the animal to do its business in a tray or on a towel.

IMPORTANT : do not take a small breed dog into an apartment where babies live. A child, albeit not out of malice, but through negligence, can injure a dog. In general, it is important to clearly explain to the child that the dog is not a toy, and any pet requires responsibility. It doesn’t matter what breed he is.

But not only small breed dogs are suitable for keeping in apartments. And breeds such as poodle, golden retriever, collie, sheltie will also become great friends for all family members, including children. Only some breeds are difficult to keep in a city apartment .

    2. Noise . It all depends not on the breed, but on the nature of the dog itself. There are also representatives of small breeds, which “do not feed on bread”, just bark. And large breeds, from which you can’t even draw a sound.
    3. Apartment dimensions . The number of free square meters affects the choice of breed. Even is one of the main principles of choice.
    4. Important and character . For example, for a family with children, short-haired, small dogs that will not require much time (pugs) are suitable. They will only be happy to stretch out at the feet of the owner in front of the TV. And vice versa, it is better for an active young man to choose a friend to match himself. The degree of activity of the owner and the dog should be approximately the same.
    5. Containment conditions . Millions of people keep dogs in apartments. Why can’t you? You just need to know a number of nuances.
    6. The dog’s ability to endure loneliness. For example, constant, endless barking can be very annoying to neighbors, and even become the reason for frequent calls to the police. Even if it doesn’t come to that, chewed up clothes or shoes and ruined furniture will not delight anyone either.
    7. It is important that the owner has has enough time for to take care of his four-legged friend, for his upbringing, and for training.

Do not think that only small dogs such as lapdogs or the already mentioned pugs should be kept in apartments. Greyhounds and Great Danes, despite their size, feel great being homebodies. But it is important: only in the company with the owner! And you need to walk in the fresh air for a long time with dogs of absolutely any breed.

And yet, when choosing a pet, you should not make the breed the main criterion for selection. You need to choose a four-legged friend with your heart . Who knows, maybe a dog found on the street will bring more joy than its purebred counterparts.

Questions to ask yourself to decide which breed to choose:

    • What kind of character should a dog have?
    • What is the nature of the owner?
    • What is the financial situation of the family?
    • How much free space is in the apartment?

The following factors should also be considered:

    • Immunizations . You can’t do without them. There are no dogs that do not need to be vaccinated to eliminate the risk of infecting humans.
    • Walk . Dogs need to be walked. At least 2, and preferably 3 times a day. Moreover, one of the exits must be long.
    • Training . Whatever the animal, small, medium or large, smooth-haired or long-haired, they all require training and learning at least elementary skills.
    • The importance of safety is out of the question. Not suitable for keeping in an apartment are ill-mannered, uncontrollable dogs, in whose society people are afraid for their lives.

Let’s move on to the list of suitable breeds that can be kept in an apartment.
