Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Naperville, IL! We also serve families from Plainfield, Aurora, Bolingbrook and surrounding areas. My name is Kimberly and I am the academy director. I have been in the child care field for eight years and have my master’s degree in elementary education. I have been with La Petite Academy since 2010.
Whether it’s providing care for Infants or participating in activities in our Preschool programs, watching the children grow and learn is so rewarding and I truly value the relationships I have formed with our families and staff.
Some of our teachers have been with us since the building opened more than 10 years ago! Each of our teachers is CPR and First Aid certified and has gone through SIDS prevention and education training. We continuously educate our teachers through monthly trainings.
We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.
We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment. Our building uses a coded entry system and each family has a unique passcode.

Hello, my name is Kimberly Pullen and I am the director here at La Petite Academy. I have been in the early childhood education field for 10 years and previously taught in the Chicago Public Schools. I live in Plainfield with my husband and son Kyle. I have a passion for educating children. I believe in helping to create a foundation in the early years that will help them to meet their educational milestones in the future. In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies, bowling, and fishing.

Muscovy ducks, or, as they are also called, “whisperers”, are the decoration of any yard. Breeding them with each spring, you get carried away more and more. After all, this is not only delicious dietary meat, but a 100% natural incubator! Having these ducks, you will always have both ducklings and meat!
And now specifically about how to properly care for Muscovy ducks . Three ducks and one drake are usually left per tribe, strong, well developed, healthy and of correct constitution. When picking up a breeding drake, you should be aware that it is very large and heavy in weight, during mating it can drown a duck in water or break its legs and wings on the pavement. Therefore, you should take the average. When the drake is old and heavy, and the duck is small, there will be no 100% fertilization of eggs – that’s the first reason for failure.
Keep them separate from other birds, in a dry, warm room. A good layer of sawdust or whole straw is poured onto the floor. It is necessary to maintain the cleanliness of the room so that the ducks do not have a dirty feather from below, as they do not like it, they can fuss and feel around.
A lot of people ask, how to make Muscovy duck nests. There should be as many of them as you have ducks. A box measuring 45x50x45 cm can serve as a nest, in which only one plank is left on one side. It is advisable to place the boxes at a distance from each other, because ducks love peace and are very shy.
They start laying at 7–9 months. It falls somewhere in March-April, when the temperature reaches 14-150 degrees Celsius. Egg production can be regulated by heat and light. Ducks sit for 34-36 days. The ducklings hatch together, all within three days. Two days later, they are already sitting on the back of the duck, peeking out from under the wings, breasts, black-yellowish small lumps with pink noses. All dry, warm, beautiful. Usually, ducks themselves take the ducklings out of the nest, they, like hares, do not walk in the first days, but jump.
If you want your Muscovy duck to lay again, take the ducklings after 10-12 days. She will lay eggs and sit down again. But, as a rule, all the ducklings are looked after by the duck that hatched them.
When all the ducks have hatched, clean the room and lay out fresh bedding. Adults teach the young to go out of the enclosure there at night or when it rains. Ducklings hide under ducks and drakes and live like this until they are 20 days old. It is necessary to teach ducks to drive young animals on green grass. In the aviary in small vessels they put water, always warm and clean. You should know: ducks will not go into cold water, but they love to swim very much, little ones jump and splash, they bathe before they start eating.
Feeding Muscovy ducklings Eating should be given as soon as they hatch and hatch. You can’t be late with this, because when there is no food, they eat bedding, earth, in a word, everything they see, and therefore can injure the stomach.
For the first three days, boiled duck or chicken eggs, crushed and mixed with fine corn or barley grits, should be given. From the 5th day you can give low-fat cottage cheese, combined with finely chopped alfalfa, clover, nettle, wheat, corn, barley, egg. The mash should be fresh, crumbly, prepared immediately before feeding. Feed enough to eat, and take away the leftovers so as not to mold. It is also necessary to include boiled carrots, beets, potatoes in the daily diet. Ducklings are very fond of corn grits on whey or bone broth. Separately, you need to put fine gravel, river granular sand, chalk. In the first days, it is advisable to drink the brood with infusion of chamomile, St. John’s wort and ordinary clean water. A few useful tips for keeping Muscovy ducks: You should take ducks in advance so that they get used to the new farmstead, to the drake, to the “friend ducks” – all this is stress. A duck will leave the nest if something disturbs it (cat, rat, chickens). She may leave eggs if they are not fertile. Those that are “empty” she throws out of the nest. Indian ducks are popular due to their lean meat, good egg production and unpretentiousness in content. They behave non-aggressively towards other birds and do not make loud noises. Muscovy ducks do not quack, but hiss, which makes it convenient to keep them close to home.
Indo-outs have the following features:

simple diet predominantly of greens;
the ability to fly and the instinct to fly;
strong parental instinct.
A distinctive feature of Muscovy ducks is coral growths at the base of the beak, resembling a bump. According to the color of plumage, ducks can be black and white, brown or white.
Why breed indoutok
How can indos be useful? Breeding, maintenance, care at home are of interest to beginner poultry farmers and those who want to build their business in the field of agriculture.
Indo-duck, mute duck, musky duck are the names of one species of birds. Their original name is musky, because of the characteristic smell. Birds are called indo-ducks because of the growth above the beak, similar to the growth of a turkey. Shipunami – because of the sounds made.

Meat and eggs
Breeding indoutok at home is suitable for domestic poultry farming. They belong primarily to the meat direction and can give a good yield of meat compared to other breeds. Muscovy ducks with quality feeding grow quickly. The meat is lean and tender.

Due to seasonality, duck eggs cannot be sold all year round. But still, you can earn money on eggs. Muscovy ducks at the beginning of laying are very productive, the hatchability of ducklings is high, more than 90%. This is a good hatching egg that is expensive.
There should be 3-5 ducks per drake. If there are more of them, then the proportion of fertilized eggs will decrease. If less, then it will be difficult for females due to frequent pestering.
Males are much larger than females, their weight is 5-6 kg versus 3 kg for females. There are times when drakes injure ducks. Breeding indochka at home and for sale will be better if the recommended ratio of 1 drake to 3-5 females is maintained.
Sale of ducklings
Muscovy ducks are good hens, so selling ducklings is also profitable. You need to know that the musky duck starts hatching only after a significant number of eggs have accumulated in the nest, 15-20 pieces. Hatching lasts 30-35 days. The first hatched ducklings must be immediately taken from the nest, otherwise the duck will not finish the remaining eggs. It is better to raise babies on your own, since the mute are quite scattered and can simply lose some of the ducklings.
You should be aware of a few more features of the eggs of the indochka. Breeding at home in an incubator is not as effective as mother incubation. Premises, equipment and inventory

The duck house requires artificial lighting of 5 W per 1 sq. m. The walls need to be whitewashed. The floor can be with bedding, mesh or combined. The thickness of the mesh rods is at least 3 mm, it must be placed at a height of 25-30 cm from the floor. Manhole for ducks at a height of 5-8 cm from the floor, 40x40cm.
The temperature in the duck house must not fall below zero. During the laying period, the optimum temperature is 18-20 degrees. Indians are afraid of damp, so good ventilation is needed. A perch for ducks needs a wide one, in the form of a bench 15-20 cm wide at a height of 15-20 cm from the floor.
Feeders must be positioned so that all birds can feed at the same time. Feeder height – 10 cm, width – 25 cm, length – at least 5 cm per head. Drinkers are recommended to use trough-shaped, but small, so that birds do not use them for swimming, especially in winter.
In a dark place, place nests made of plywood 40x50x50cm with a threshold no higher than 10 cm. The bottom of the nest can be lined with wood shavings or straw, sawdust is not suitable. There is one nest for every 2-3 ducks.
Ducks are released for walking in the afternoon. The walking yard is fenced with a fence of at least two meters. If the fence is smaller, then the birds’ wings are clipped. Bathing capacity must be at least 15 liters. Indians do not need a large open pond, you can limit yourself to a small pond or groove.
Feeding Basics
Breeding and keeping indoutok at home is considered simple, including due to the omnivorous nature of birds. But do not forget that in order for ducks to gain weight well and rush, their diet must be balanced. Birds should receive mineral feed.
If you are fascinated by indochki, breeding, maintenance, care, feeding at home, then you should understand that these birds need constant access to water. At the same time, keep in mind that they cannot swim in winter, but at the same time, each duck can drink a liter of water per day. You need to think about what the drinker will be.
Feed three times a day. At least 10% of the feed should be greens. Indians are herbivores and grass must be given constantly. There are two well-established methods of feeding indoutas.
The first is compound feed with added vitamins. The choice of feed must be approached responsibly, as it must fully satisfy all the needs of the bird in nutrients, vitamins and trace elements.
The second way is to eat cereals with the addition of nutrients. Cereals are combined with dry premixes, calcium, vegetable protein (peas, lupins). The grain mixture itself should be varied in composition. The required minimum is oats, barley, wheat and corn.
Required for Indian women and fish, meat and bone meal or dairy products, fish and meat waste. Premixes are necessary in the absence of complete feed. They improve growth, egg production, increase muscle mass. They can be both universal and specialized, suitable for a particular species and age of the bird.
Fat-soluble or water-soluble vitamins must be added to the feed. In young animals, sick and weakened birds, the need for vitamins is higher. When exposed to stress factors, the need for vitamins increases by 2-4 times.
Family formation
It is more profitable to grow several families of indoutas at the same time. 3-5 females and a male of the same age or older by 1.5 months (from the previous grown batch). In order to exclude closely related crossing, drakes must be periodically changed to birds from another farm.
A family is formed from spring ducklings when males reach 20 weeks of age. Before that, they are kept separately. Mute mute can be crossed with other types of ducks, but such offspring will be sterile.
Sexual instinct in ducks is seasonal, so in spring the fertility of eggs is much higher than in late summer. Egg-laying begins at the end of March, an earlier start can be caused by increasing daylight hours with artificial lighting. During the year, 100 eggs weighing 70 grams can be obtained from each female.
Breeding ducklings
Eggs intended for incubation are removed daily from the nest and stored indoors at a temperature of 15 degrees. Each must be dated. To maintain humidity, a container of water is placed near the eggs. You need to store them for 15-18 days, then they will acquire optimal incubation properties.
Female nests when 15-20 eggs have been laid. After 2-3 days, another 20 eggs from other ducks can be placed under the hen. During the season, you can get 2-3 broods of 20 ducklings each from one mother hen.
If several ducks sit on the nest, then they must be separated by partitions. Strange ducklings are not allowed to the mother hen, otherwise she will leave the nest. Chicks leave the nest after 33-35 days of incubation. They are left with their mother for 30 minutes, after which they are taken under a lamp. After all the chicks have hatched and dried out, they can be returned to their mother or continued rearing without her.
Raising ducklings
How fast do indos grow? Breeding and keeping musky ducks at home has its own characteristics. Healthy ducklings weigh 50-70 grams. They stand well on their feet, the down is yellow, shiny.
Breeding, keeping, caring for indo-ducks at home is not difficult, but young animals must be monitored especially carefully. The first days, ducklings are kept in a cardboard box lined with large wood shavings or straw. They warm the babies with a lamp with a reflector.
At two weeks of age, the drakes are separated from the ducks and kept separately. This must be done due to the fact that males develop much faster and will overwhelm weak females.
Younger ducklings are reared on deep bedding or mesh floors. Stocking density 5-6 birds per meter up to 26 weeks of age, 3-4 after. Ducklings are released for walking when they reach the age of 2 weeks. If the babies are brought up separately from the mother, then they can not be bathed until the age of one month.
Boiled egg, milk, bran, cottage cheese, greens, crushed grain are used as feed in the first days. Already on the fourth day, you can give meat waste, on the tenth – boiled potatoes. In the first 5 days, vitamins are added to the water.

What is a certificate of additional education?
Additional education certificate is an official confirmation of a child’s ability to study in circles and sections of additional education at the expense of the state. The certificate itself is not material and the only important thing is that the child is included in a special register – the register of certificates of additional education. The presence of information in the register about the receipt of a certificate by a child is a signal to the state that it is necessary to pay for his education. That is, the certificate is, in fact, a tool for realizing the “right” of children to receive free additional education.
What is the additional education certificate for?
What we know to be free is paid for by someone else and remains free for us as long as it is consistently paid for.
Despite the importance of additional education, recognized, including at the highest level, neither the Russian Constitution nor any of the federal laws enshrined our rights to receive additional education free of charge. No one will take away the right to education as such, but the state is not obliged to pay for additional education. So what does this mean in practice? After all, today we can enroll in free clubs without any certificates.
Indeed, the current system of additional education implies that there is at least one institution in the municipality where we can come and enroll for free. But today it is this institution that determines what kind of circles they will be, and we sign up where there are places left. If we do not sign up, there will be someone who will sign up for us. As a result, the circle will still be filled (often due to postscripts). After all, the state does not owe us anything directly, it simply finances the activities of the institution. But the essence of additional education is not to give development opportunities only to those children whose interests coincide with the directions of the institution’s work, but to take into account the needs of all children and give them the opportunity for individual development. The most striking illustration of the absurdity of today is the situation when children study in paid circles and sections or in private organizations, at a time when free circles are not in demand by them. It’s good when a family has money for education in a private organization, but it’s bad, once the education that a child needs is given only where it is necessary to pay for it.
How does a certificate work? Specifying in it that the certificate is nominal. Giving a certificate to a child is intended to change the situation described above. Indeed, for an institution, a certificate is money that it can earn only when it interests a child to come to study with him. If a child wants to go to another organization to study, then the institution will lose money along with him. All this is designed to stimulate institutions to develop, taking into account the modern needs of children.
Imagine that your family budget has planned expenses for additional education for your child. Will you give them to an institution just because good people work there, or, by paying for their work, will you expect them to still give your child a quality education? And, if you have a choice between organizations, including private ones, will you really put the interests of the institution, and not the child, at the forefront? The answers of the state to these two questions change when the certificate of additional education is introduced.
So, a personal certificate of additional education is your money that you can spend exclusively on the education of your child. The state, providing you with a certificate, guarantees you free access to additional education in the amount determined by the certificate. At the same time, as Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin noted at the end of 2014: no matter what you choose, “the main thing is that the child, the parents should have a choice: to receive additional education on the basis of a school, or in a municipal creative center, or in a non-state educational organization to make it accessible and to have really well-trained professionals working with children. ”
What does the Continuing Education Certificate provide and how can I use it?
Certificate of additional education is used by parents to choose and enroll in circles and sections offered by various organizations and even individual entrepreneurs, at no cost to the family budget. The certificate can be used to enroll in programs included in the regional navigator https://25.pfdo.ru/. Municipal and state organizations are required to enroll children under a certificate, private organizations are also entitled to accept certificates as payment under education agreements.
When you receive a certificate, you also get access to the personal account of the information system https://25.pfdo.ru/, which, in fact, is your access to your personal account. When choosing circles and sections, you use the available free “enrollments” and / or money directly assigned to your certificate, which can be used to pay for additional education received by children in municipal and private organizations. Organizations interested in additional education for children undergo independent certification of programs and are included in the register of educational service providers, which is displayed in your personal account. You just have to choose among them. And based on the results of the child’s education, evaluate the chosen program. Thanks to you, the program registry will include the best organizations offering high-quality and interesting programs.
At the same time, due to the circumstances set forth above, enrollment in municipal circles and sections without using a certificate will not be carried out from September 2021. But do not worry about this circumstance – you can always get a certificate as soon as you decide to apply for training.
How to get a certificate of additional education?
A certificate is not a “ticket” to an educational organization, it is enough to get it for a child once. Further, you can use the certificate until the child reaches the age of eighteen, but once you still need to get a certificate. You can do this in one of two ways:
Come to the department of education or an educational institution or other organization authorized to accept applications for a certificate, with a passport, a birth certificate of a child, documents confirming a special category (if available). Fill out an application on the spot and receive confirmation of the certificate being entered into the register.

Fill out an electronic application for a certificate on the portal https://25.pfdo.ru/, select an educational program, submit an electronic application and, together with an application for enrollment, submit a signed application for a certificate to the selected educational organization.
Directly on the portal https://25. pfdo.ru/ there is a link to the state resource for registering applications for obtaining a certificate of additional education. By clicking on the link, you can send an electronic application for a certificate, after which confirmation of registration of the application, as well as details for accessing the personal account of the system https://25.pfdo.ru/, will be sent to your e-mail. From this moment on, you can use the certificate assigned to your child and even apply for enrollment in circles and sections on an equal basis with other families who have already received a certificate.
However, in order for the organization to accept your application, you must activate the certificate. Therefore, when enrolling for the first time, along with the application for enrollment, do not forget to provide the organization with an application for a certificate (the one that the information system will generate for you when submitting an electronic application). The organization itself will check your data and send the application to the Department of Education so that the latter activates your certificate.

Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears has filed for “immediate” termination of custody of his daughter, Fox and The Guardian reported, citing court documents.
“Jamie [Spears] sees no reason to continue custody and claims he has no interest in continuing it,” the documents say.
From them it follows that Spears asked the court to immediately and permanently terminate his guardianship “without any reservations or exceptions.” He also refused to demand compensation of $ 2 million, which he had previously wanted to receive for refusing custody.

Impact of the urban environment and virtual communications on the younger generation

Among the large number of innovations and spontaneous changes in recent decades, two main trends have the greatest impact on social processes: urbanization and virtualization. The process of urbanization is characterized by a massive movement of people from rural areas to cities, from small towns to large metropolitan areas, and often from economically poor countries to states with a higher standard of living. Virtualization forms a different direction of change, when, under the influence of computer and Internet technologies, a modern person interacts more and more with the interfaces of social networks, gaming and entertainment sites and less and less with real people in the course of personal live communication.
Such cardinal changes in the environment and the space of social interactions inevitably leave an imprint on the development of the younger generation. This means that such key processes for pedagogy and education as socialization, upbringing, and the formation of the personality of the worldview of children and adolescents are being modified. In this article, based on a review of modern research, we will consider how the urban environment and virtual communications affect the younger generation.
Many studies in various cities around the world prove that we greatly underestimate the connection between man and nature. In areas devoid of greenery, residents communicate less often, stress levels and crime rates are noticeably higher. Even a window view of concrete landscapes makes people less emotionally stable, able to yell at children and even “dissolve their hands” [10]. Conversely, natural landscapes contribute to faster recovery even after complex medical operations [9]. Experiments in New York have shown that a simple visit to the park can improve the psycho-emotional state of the city dweller. « We found that emotions depend on the landscape. People noted the strongest feeling of happiness and freedom from nervous tension when they crossed the gates of the public garden in Sarah Roosevelt Park ,” shares Charles Montgomery, researcher and participant in the experiment [4].
Natural landscapes have an even greater influence on the formation of a child’s personality, moral education and aesthetic development of the younger generation. V. Sukhomlinsky also noted that “ The world surrounding a child is, first of all, the world of nature with an unlimited wealth of phenomena, with inexhaustible beauty. Here in nature is the eternal source of children’s mind .” Therefore, one should not be surprised at the statistical indicators of the growth of antisocial phenomena, aggressive behavior and even crime among teenagers in big cities. Solving this problem with the help of full-time school psychologists and police officers at the entrance to educational institutions looks rather doubtful. Such methods refer us rather to the practices of primitive peoples, when adolescents were isolated from the tribe, placed in a separate camp in the forest under the supervision of male warriors.
It seems more logical to recognize the facts of the negative impact of an overly urbanized urban environment devoid of natural landscapes on the formation of a child’s personality. This approach opens up opportunities for transferring the attention of parents and teachers to the environmental education of children, the inclusion of excursions to parks and outdoor activities in the educational process. Understanding the positive impact of the natural environment on the formation of the younger generation forces us to rethink the importance of methods of tourist and recreational activities for educational institutions.
The spread of Internet technologies, the evolution of complex computer systems into simple and affordable smartphones, the spread of social online networks and computer gaming services have been like an avalanche in the last decade. As a result, according to some researchers, today’s teenagers spend in the virtual online environment from 6 to 8 hours a day. That is, the time spent watching feeds in social networks, online communication and games often already exceeds the duration of classes (sports, education, walks and communication with parents and peers), and sometimes even time to sleep.
In recent years, many scientific papers have been written about the consequences of such immersion in the virtual world, both by domestic and foreign authors. Colleagues note such changes in the behavior of modern adolescents as fragmented thinking and the phenomenon of short memory, unfocused attention, self-centeredness and lack of individuality [1], the formation of Internet addiction with such characteristic features as an obsessive desire to check the news feed, loss of a sense of time, neglect of hygiene, nutrition and sleep, depressive states when the Internet is turned off [3]. As a result, according to the fair remark of A. Raskhodchikov, the new rising generation is more and more reminiscent of “network Mowgli”: “ A human child raised by wild animals loses some of its human qualities – for example, the ability to speak and think logically. We see the same thing in social networks: the generation that grows up, mostly communicating not with peers in the yards, not with parents, but in social networks, and not even always with people … just like Mowgli inevitably loses some qualities – hence the problems with emotional perception and contact between people ” [7].
In fairness, it should be noted that such predominantly negative assessments of the impact of virtualization on adolescents do not take into account, firstly, the inattentive attitude of parents and teachers to the ongoing changes. If a child is left without attention, given to the mercy of a computer or tablet, one should not be surprised that as a result, “Mowgli” grows out of him. And, secondly, history knows quite a few examples of more tragic social transformations, when, after wars and revolutions, such phenomena as “homelessness” and “fatherlessness” acquired a mass character. But the education system, talented scientists and teachers found methods for correcting these harmful social phenomena.
The purpose of this work is not to review critically various forms of Internet addictions and methods for their correction. Research in this area has been carried out since the beginning of the 90s, a lot of experience has been gained in the use of methods for detecting and testing addiction, as well as treatment (including psychotherapeutic, medication and even non-traditional – electroacupuncture). It seems interesting to us the conclusions of Professor A. Yu. Egorov on the need to replace computer activity with other activities, diverse and emotionally positive [2]. That is, such measures as limiting the time teenagers spend at the computer and banning the use of smartphones during school lessons cannot by themselves solve the problem of excessive immersion in the virtual world. There is a need for special additional education programs based on positive live communication, interaction with the natural environment, which can interest a teenager and form a positive experience of offline interaction.
In the light of the ongoing changes, the methods of educating children and adolescents by means of tourism and local history activities acquire new significance. At the same time, the programs for the development of the child’s personality by means of TKD require additions, taking into account the new conditions of the living environment – more urbanized and mostly virtual. In our opinion, three new areas of pedagogical work within the framework of the TKD are becoming the most significant:
— Replacing virtual activity with cognitive and developmental activities in the natural environment and landscapes cultivated by man.
— Using the possibilities of computer technology in tourism and local history activities.
– Teaching the basics of orientation and safety in the virtual information space.
The first direction, in fact, coincides with the main tasks of the TKD on the formation of experience in interaction with the natural environment, peers and elders represented by teachers; development of moral qualities and emotional intelligence, abilities of adaptation in various social and physical environments [5]. However, the main focus here is shifting to distracting the child from virtual reality, gradual immersion in the natural environment and creating vivid positive impressions. It should be borne in mind that due to the excessive immersion of children in the virtual world, there may be a complete lack of skills in the natural environment, as well as interest in simple phenomena. Modern children and teenagers can be injured literally out of the blue, demonstrate a lack of basic spatial orientation skills, and also show irritation and aggression due to the lack of an Internet connection. Do not forget that the virtual environment often offers brighter and more colorful images than the real surrounding objects, while interaction with these images is maximally simplified and does not require any effort.
Therefore, the child’s distraction from this attractive and familiar world of virtual reality should be gradual. The very immersion in the natural environment is perhaps better to start with city parks, and interest in the natural environment form the most vivid impressions from animal observation and game methods.
The second direction is formed around the new opportunities presented by computer technologies, numerous services and smartphone applications for the development of TKD. According to the fair remark of D. V. Smirnov, information and communication technologies are becoming an important resource for pedagogical work, an effective means of self-education, organizing search, local history and educational and research activities [7]. Modern smartphones already provide the possibility of photography, creating collages, collections of audio and video clips, object recognition (including plants, insects and animals), generating routes and maps, etc. The use of these capabilities can not only enrich and diversify the TKD, but to throw a kind of bridge between the usual virtual activities and a new natural environment for a modern child. At the same time, it should be taken into account that spending a lot of time in a virtual environment playing games and communicating on social networks, children and adolescents often demonstrate a lack of skills in working with the above services. Thus, the inclusion of ICT in the classroom will contribute to the formation of new useful skills in the use of computer technologies in children.
The third area of work is related to the presence in the Internet environment of a large amount of content harmful to the emerging personality and child’s psyche. The teacher’s task here is to develop the child’s knowledge about the rules of behavior in a virtual environment, ways to recognize harmful content, skills to ensure their own safety when faced with dangerous phenomena. In the course of live communication with peers in the natural environment, many of the negative consequences of Internet activity are much easier to explain and make obvious to the child. For example, the “spyglass effect” is described in detail in the works of psychologists when only positive, often false images of success, attractiveness are broadcast on the network, as a result of comparing the “ordinary” self with these idealized “friends” from the friend tape, the child develops inferiority complexes [3] . This negative effect of virtual communication can be corrected through game forms of learning, during which a group of children is invited to create a successful superhero avatar for one of the group members. Positive emotional states from overcoming obstacles, new achievements, victories in competitions with peers can form a child’s natural emotional perception of reality, often not formed in a virtual environment. The development of forms and methods for ensuring the safety of children and adolescents in the Internet environment seems to be an extremely important area of pedagogical work in the context of increasing digitalization.

Our Programs
Montessori Episcopal has three dedicated programs.
We provide three main educational programs with six to eighteen children each aged nine months to six years of age.
Each program uses the Montessori Method, which is an approach to education that embraces each child’s natural desire to learn and honors the need for independence and self-sufficiency. We believe the way children learn best is in a hands-on, concrete manner using all of their senses. The teacher, as guide, constantly presents new areas of discovery in a sequential, orderly fashion.

Montessori Episcopal School was a beautiful experience for my family. The entire staff models the love of Jesus. The school is authentic Montessori, without the classrooms packed full of children. MES understands that just because you can have 25 children in the room, it doesn’t mean you should. I was worried about someone else teaching my child religion, but they simplify Bible Stories and share them in a true Montessori fashion.
