SUKHUM, March 4 – Sputnik, Badri Yesiava. Two kindergartens will be launched in the Gagra district by the end of 2023, Khana Gunba, deputy head of the district administration, told Sputnik. She noted that one preschool institution will open on Abazgaa Street in Gagra, the other in Pitsunda. this is part of the Soviet kindergarten, designed for eight groups. In the post-war years, most of its territory was privatized. “The main educational building of the kindergarten was privatized – there is a hotel that functions successfully. Repairs are underway in the second building of the facility, and that is why we will be able to accommodate only four groups of children of 20-25 people. Also a kitchen and an assembly hall will be attached to this building,” Gunba said. According to her, the residents of Gagra over the past 8-10 years have been in dire need of additional places in kindergartens, and the opening of a new institution will solve this problem. According to official statistics, annually from 35 to 40 children from Gagra at the age of three cannot get into kindergarten. Most often, Gunba added, parents ask their grandparents to look after their children while they are at work, or hire nannies. There are six functioning kindergartens in the district. They are designed for 800 seats. Another kindergarten has been built in Pitsunda since 2017 under the Investment Program for the Social and Economic Development of Abkhazia. They plan to launch it. “This facility was not put into operation because communications were not provided. Now everything is being fixed, and I think that this kindergarten will finally be launched at the end of May,” Gunba said. while it is on the balance sheet of the RUE “Pitsunda Resort”, but after the completion of the repair there and the launch of the facility, it will be transferred to the balance sheet of the education department of the Gagra district administration. The institution is designed for 80 places.

90,000 Consequences of the US housing crisis on the example of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas. The epicenter of the housing crisis is thriving again. (This is a warning sign.)
MATTHEW GOLDSTEIN , ROBERT GEBELOFF , ROSS MANTIA and MATT RUBY September 1 2, 2018
This quiet working town off the Las Vegas Strip has helped provoke a global financial crisis 10 years ago. The consequences were inevitable: almost every third house was mortgaged.
North Las Vegas Community
Today, the North Las Vegas Community, including zip code 89031, is a model of recovery that has swept across the country. The economy is growing, companies are hiring, and the housing market is on fire, as this suburban enclave expands further into the Mojave Desert.
But the recovery has been uneven.
Although the Las Vegas area is thriving, the middle class is still shrinking.
Steady growth across the country lifted the stock market and corporate profits. These advances, however, did not seep through to most workers. Incomes barely budge and consumer debt rises again.
North Las Vegas house prices are rising so fast that real estate in many communities is no longer available for purchase. Much of the new construction is on the high end (ed. note very expensive ), which discourages many new homeowners. Some cannot find the money for a down payment, while others are afraid to return to a market where they have already failed.
For many, the American dream is now out of reach. It is more and more a nation of tenants.
Reference approx. ed. . 36.6% of Americans are considered tenants, 63.4% of Americans are homeowners. In fact, the “owners” do not own anything. The vast majority of them “bought” houses on credit, on a mortgage. That is, in fact, the BANKS own the houses, from which the American owners rented money and, with their responsibility to look after the condition of the house . Really, a loan costs about 7-8% of the cost of a house and is taken for a period of 30 years. This means that during the repayment of the loan, a person pays two more for every dollar taken – two and a half to the bank. By the end of payments, the owner receives an almost completely depreciated house. 10 million homeless people living in tents and huts, the US Census Bureau does not count.
This is Angela Guthrie’s third home in ten years.
She bought a three-bedroom house in 2006 with her husband. But she couldn’t keep up with her mortgage payments, subprime loans with rising interest rates. She filed for personal bankruptcy , lost her house and divorced.
She tried to buy a house a few miles away on a rental property and gave $3,000 in advance. The deal failed when she couldn’t get a mortgage , and she lost her down payment.
She bought a three-bedroom house in 2006.
Miss Guthrie now lives in a rented apartment a few blocks away. It’s in a safe area where is guarded by private security guards at night. But the new owner, an out-of-state investor, just raised the rent by a few hundred dollars and demanded an additional $1,000 for a security deposit.
Mother of four, Miss Guthrie, aged 51, didn’t have much choice. Her 15-year-old daughter is in high school and she didn’t want to endanger her place of residence (ed. note life ) by moving out of the (ed. note guarded ) area.
Ms. Guthrie, who works for a souvenir company, has no plans to buy property again. There is no way to get a loan. “How do you create wealth?” she asked. “My views on my own housing have changed.”
In some states, after declaring bankruptcy, the debtor is released from all previous debts, but in any case, the credit history will be badly damaged. The relevant information will be stored in the credit history for ten years, and within five to seven years it will be almost impossible to get another mortgage loan. approx. ed.
This house on Osiana Avenue has changed hands five times in the past decade, twice in foreclosure.
“If several payments are missed (one is enough), the property owner can foreclose a person. In addition, credit history will be damaged.”
The original owner bought the house for $400,000 in 2005, taking out more than $1.3 million in loans to purchase this property and three other houses. He eventually lost them all, going into foreclosure and filing for bankruptcy.
The damage from the housing crisis is a poisonous combination of frenzied buying, runaway construction, predatory lending and overinvestment – was huge. Of the 23,000 single-family homes in zip code 89031, more than 7,500 have been foreclosed on at least once since 2006, according to Attom.
Purchase of pledged property in index 89031 since 2006 .
The yellow squares on the map are properties that have been seized from their owners.
The wave of foreclosures over the past ten years has changed the face of the community (community).
Sandra L. Francescon, registered nurse, bought a house at Osiana Avenue in 2008 for $227,000. She faced foreclosure four years after a homeowners association said she defaulted on her payment obligations. About 10,000 mortgages were placed on the homes by lenders when the owners failed to pay bills.
She sued without a lawyer and lost her homeowners association case. “I still feel sick,” said 59year-old Miss Francescon. “I was baffled that the bank kept saying that everything is still in good condition.”
Like many others in the same situation, she had to move to another place. Miss Francescon now lives in Illinois.
At the start of the crisis, money-rich investors rushed into the country, buying distressed houses on the cheap.
Large, Wall Street-backed firms and small players bought homes by the thousands in bank foreclosures well below $100,000. The investor who bought Ms. Francescon’s home on Osiana Avenue paid only $6,000.
Deals are now over.
Prices rose more than 135 percent due to the depth of the crisis in North Las Vegas and rose almost three times faster than the national average, according to analyst firm Black Knight.
Jasmine Ricks and her sister Portia Reed were among the lucky ones who got the house for their price.
The sisters, who were in their twenties, were tired of throwing away their money. And they wanted a house where their three children could play.
After looking at two properties this summer (2018), they found a $300,000 five-bedroom, three-bathroom home. For the first time, homebuyers have been able to take advantage of a program that provides financial assistance to the most affected areas. They put the rent under $1,000.
“This surprised us. It was the easiest thing we have ever done in our lives,” said Ms Rix, who works for a healthcare company. “He has a huge yard. The kids love it.”
Jobs
Rising housing prices followed a broader recovery as the area attracts new employers.
Amazon has opened two huge centers in North Las Vegas to distribute products and process returns, creating thousands of jobs. The third object is already on the way. Sephora, the cosmetics company, recently opened a giant warehouse here.
North Las Vegas, with a population of about a quarter of a million people, is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. He is also young – the average resident is only 33 years old.
Like much of the area, North Las Vegas is a landscape of contrasts, with pawn shops as common as well-groomed golf courses.
Down-to-earth and simple housing estates are just a few miles from more luxurious lawn homes—a rarity in a community where yards of cliffs and desert are the norm.
In a rapidly changing housing market, many cannot afford to buy at all. Although prices are still below their pre-crisis peak, North Las Vegas is considered one of the most overpriced markets in the country.
Today, tenants live in about 45 percent of urban single-family homes. In 2008, they made up 33 percent of homes.
Alma Williams is worried that her landlord will raise the rent on this four-bedroom house.
Ms. Williams, who has lived in North Las Vegas for 25 years, has been on a monthly rental for nearly two years. Her landlord has so far kept her rent at $1,400.
But Ms. Williams, 69-year old pensioner, lives on a fixed income and doesn’t have much financial room to maneuver. She lives with her adult daughter, who is recovering from cancer, and her 12-year-old grandson.
“A lot of people find it hard to buy a house in Vegas,” she said. “People don’t make enough money.”
The Las Vegas home rent increase is one of the highest in the nation.
Jazzmine Guiberteaux moved here a few years ago from Oakland, California – one of many California refugees who went to Nevada in search of more space and cheaper housing. But it is getting more and more appreciated.
35-year-old pregnant woman, mother of two, works in a clothing store and works with Uber to earn extra money. She had to move three times in five years.
Ms. Guiberto’s previous landlord ended his monthly lease on Mother’s Day. It took her 10 days to get a new place. “The rent is higher,” she said. “But it’s in the best area.”
For some tenants, affordability (financial editor’s note) is not the only problem. Subtle discrimination also makes it harder for them to find shelter.
In June there were approximately 1800 rental houses in Clark County, including North Las Vegas. Only 39 accepted tenants with so-called housing vouchers (ed. note relief for the poor ) under Section 8 – federal rent subsidies.
Kristin Bergstrom-Norwood of Nevada Legal Services said she and her colleagues see this problem all the time. They call the unspoken obstacle “renting while black”.
This gets in the way when developers are heavily focused on the upper end of the housing market.
Upscale homes in Toole Springs Villages
One developer, Pardee Homes, is building over $400,000 homes on the edge of the desert. Upscale homes in Tula springs settlements come in three styles: Desert Contemporary, Modern Spanish, and Nevada Living.
Lennar builds affordable townhouses and apartments with a New York theme. The home models are called Brooklyn, Manhattan and Rochester.
Homes in North Las Vegas are “going like hot cakes,” says Trish Nash, real estate broker and longtime resident. “They are purchased after three days, even one day of sale in the market. And they come at or above the asking price. ”
Richard Plaster watched the construction business go from boom to bust to growth again.
British born Mr. Plaster is an American citizen and has lived in the Las Vegas area since 1973. When he moved here, about a quarter of a million people lived in it, now there are more than two million two hundred thousand people.
He built hundreds of houses before the housing crisis. When the financial crisis halted construction, he switched to buying houses and apartments to rent out.
Mr. Plaster, at the construction of luxury homes in Las Vegas.
He says he wants to build affordable housing.
Upon completion of Mr. Gipsoler’s construction, 184 houses will be built on Solana Terrace. It is giving away about half a dozen (6) homes to young buyers on modest incomes who can get help with down payments from a government program.
That’s right, said Mr Plaster, 71, given how the financial crisis has hit young families hard.
“I have friends on Wall Street, but I think it’s unbelievable that we can have such a crash and only one guy will be held accountable,” he said. “There were very bad guys there”

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas — Dmitry Rodionov
Dmitry Rodionov
How the biggest massacre in American history will affect the internal strife in the country.
Read ren.tv in
In Las Vegas, a man opened fire at one of the city’s largest casino hotels, Mandalay Bay. At least 50 people were killed, one more than at an Orlando nightclub in June 2016, making it the worst massacre in U.S. history, according to the latest figures.
How can this be? Imagine Las Vegas, the capital of American glamour, a city of thousands of casinos, hotels, and more. Thousands of carefree non-poor people are walking on the streets, going somewhere, maybe just in a casino to try their luck. And someone has already experienced and comes off at a country music festival. What could be more American? Las Vegas, casino and country festival. And suddenly fate turns to them in such an absurd way, appearing in the form of a shooter, for whom they all become targets in the shooting range. Indeed, just like in a shooting range: one shoots fifty from a pre-prepared and carefully disguised place, which is not so easy to immediately calculate. Nobody interferes. Just you, rifle and targets.

Video of the shooting at the casino in Las Vegas, where two people died
Then, of course, the shooter dies. This is the law of the genre. It would be too cool if he also managed to get away with impunity. Yes, even if he had left, he would not have been able to hide for a long time anyway. They would raise everyone to their feet, announce “Siren”, “Interception” or whatever they have for these cases. That’s not the point. The point is, how could this even happen? The police in the US do not catch mice at all?
Photo: Globallookpress/csstevensphot
Catches. Only after the fact. It cannot be said that law enforcement agencies in the United States are completely, completely ineffective. Although, of course, it should be noted that their effectiveness is much higher in the capture and elimination of criminals, and not in the prevention of crime. They also effectively manage to disperse protests, but for some reason they fail to prevent them. Rather, from time to time news comes from the United States that some policeman shot some black man, wanting to prevent a crime, because it seemed to him that he had a weapon. Then it turns out that there were no weapons, which leads to the very protests that the police have to suppress.
Maybe the American police are too nervous that they shoot first and then sort it out? You’ll be nervous here.
In fact, the US has a very rich history of mass shootings, which have long become as integral a part of American life as country music, casinos or a hamburger with cola.
According to statistics, every year 11 people die from firearms per 100,000 inhabitants. Here are just a few high-profile examples from the past quarter century:
– Shooting at the University of Iowa 1 November 1991 years old, 5 killed.
– Shooting in the restaurant “Lubi” October 16, 1993, 23 killed.
– Shooting at Columbine School, Colorado, April 20, 1999, 13 killed.
– Shooting at Red Lake School on March 21, 2005, 9 killed.
– Shooting at Virginia Tech April 16, 2007, 32 killed.
– Shooting in Omaha shopping center, Nebraska, October 5, 2007, 8 killed.
– Shooting at Northern Illinois University January 14, 2008, 5 killed.
– Shooting at a barbershop in Seal Beach, California, October 12, 2011, 8 killed.
— Shooting in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, July 20, 2012, 12 killed.
— Shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012, 27 killed.
– Shooting on the campus of Umpqua College, Oregon, October 1, 2015, 9 killed.
– Shooting at a center for people with disabilities in San Bernardino, California, December 2, 2015, 14 people were killed.
— Shooting at a family planning center in Colorado Springs, November 27, 2015, 3 killed.
— Shooting at a gay club in Orlando June 12, 2016, 49 killed.
By the way, a schoolboy who came to class with a gun and shot half of the class together with the teacher is generally a classic of the American genre. Alas, not a movie.

Maybe the problem is not the inefficiency of the police, but the inefficiency of a society in which the free circulation of weapons is allowed? Inappropriate control over him? Maybe a country in which a psychopathic maniac just shoots the crowd like in a shooting range, and the overwrought policemen shoot at everything that moves, needs to change something in this regard?
And yes, was the Vegas killer a psychotic maniac? So far, it is only known that this is a 64-year-old local resident named Stephen Paddock. And they don’t know anything about him anymore. Yes, he also had an impressive supply of ammunition with him, which indicates that the pensioner had been preparing for a long time and carefully.
But is it just a pensioner who has “traveled” or is it still a terrorist act? Indeed, it would be very easy to believe this, given the number of terrorist attacks that have occurred around the world in recent times. We can recall the massacre at the railway station of the city of Saint-Charles in French Marseilles, truck runs over people in Berlin and Nice, battering rams on London bridges, an ax attack on train passengers and the shooting of visitors to a shopping center in Munich, a suicide bombing at a music show in Ansbach , the machete massacre in Reutlingen – there have been so many of them lately that you can’t remember everything …
That is Europe, you say, not America. But here’s Canada, where just the other day a criminal armed with a knife attacked a policeman, then got into a truck and ran into two groups of pedestrians. Everything would be fine, but in the cockpit they found the flag of the banned terrorist organization ISIS.
Photo: social networks
Indeed, the blood trail of ISIS stretches all over the world, all over Europe and already in North America. Why not take a swing at the US? Moreover, the terrorists have long accused the United States of jihad and announced terrorist attacks there. Reuters has already reported that ISIS terrorists have claimed responsibility for the shooting in Vegas. What only ISIS has not taken on lately, but who knows, perhaps in this particular case the shooter is really connected to him.
After all, the American intelligence services do not eat their bread in vain, otherwise there would have been terrorist attacks in the United States long ago. But they were never there, except for September 11, 2001. That case, however, as many believe, could have been deliberately provoked by the American authorities in order to free their hands for a lot of things. One way or another, it’s really hard to imagine that the Americans simply missed a terrorist attack of this magnitude and terrorists, who barely know how to fly planes, were able to carry out the most grandiose attack in the history of mankind.
However, as the years go by, everything changes and develops. The trend of “terrorist thought” is also developing. Today, there is no need to hijack planes, derail trains, send a suicide bomber to train stations and the subway. All this, of course, has not gone away, but with the current level of control of special services around the world, the success of such actions is extremely difficult.
For example, today the FSB prevented terrorist attacks in the Moscow region, which were prepared by members of a secret ISIS cell. Just in the form of explosions in crowded places.
Photo: operational shooting of the FSB of the Russian Federation
However, as practice shows, today a car and the right to drive it are quite enough to carry out a terrorist attack. The latter, by the way, is not necessary. And in general, a knife, machete or ax is enough. The only “minus” is that you won’t kill a lot of people with this. Whether it’s an assault rifle, which in many US states you can safely buy, store and almost wear. Like in a shooting range: several bursts – and dozens of corpses. Panic and crush will do the rest. In this case, the shooter can safely hide, if, of course, he sets such a goal.
Most importantly, ISIS has long since evolved from a terrorist organization into a terrorist franchise. There is no need for any organization in the classical sense. Supporters are on their own – there is no need to send anyone to the United States, where any migrant, if at all, can break through the obstacles of Trump legislation, will be under strict surveillance. Supporters are themselves among the locals, and not only physical contact is not required, but communication in general. Any crazy person who is offended by something in society may come up with the idea of taking revenge on this society, and not simply, but, as they say, with a twinkle – to take and shout at the moment of performing “Allahu Akbar!” or wave the banner of ISIS. In this case, the black banner for him is no different from the makeup of the Joker at the shooter in the Colorado cinema. Which, however, does not negate the possibility that in the United States itself there may be Islamist fanatics who want to help the “caliphate” that is dying under the blows of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian army.
In fact, if a retiree from Vegas finds Islamic literature or an ISIS flag at home, this will not be surprising. How and if not found. Maybe it’s just a psychopath who has been hiding his illness for years. I don’t know how it is in the USA, but we have weak control in this matter: when I received a permit for hunting weapons, the psychiatrist’s examination consisted of the conclusion that I was not registered, and a stupid question like “why do you weapon?”, which was followed by the standard stupid answer “for hunting” – you don’t have to be normal to train it. Perhaps in the United States, due to the fact that there you can get the right to purchase not only an injury or a smoothbore, a psychiatric examination is tougher. But, one way or another, no method of control will give you a 100% guarantee. No one. So the arrows will periodically appear. We have them too. Suffice it to recall the recent shooting of a student at a school in Ivanteevka near Moscow.
Photo: Sacramento Bee
The number of victims here depends only on the power of weapons allowed in a particular country. The issue of the right to bear arms has been one of the main issues of US domestic policy since its founding.
The United States was founded by colonists, immigrants from Europe, who had to develop almost wild lands. And the well-known phrase that Colt equalized everyone is not an exaggeration. Without weapons in the Wild West, it was simply impossible to survive. Without weapons, the Americans would not have become Americans, they would not have been able to create their own country, significantly strengthening it and expanding it at the expense of their neighbors.
Many years have passed, but the cult of weapons in the United States has survived. It was enshrined in the second amendment to the Constitution back in 1791. There are more than 2,500 federal and state laws on this score. In 23 states, it is allowed to carry pistols openly. In 38 states, you can covertly wear firearms. There are “barrels” in the USA in almost every second family, only their power, caliber, etc. fluctuate from state to state. For an American, the right to guns is a “sacred cow”, almost like private property. No, nevertheless, probably not so sacred and not for everyone, but for sure for many. Traditionally, when one of the politicians wants to alarm society, he declares the need to tighten the rules for the circulation of weapons, which is perceived by his opponents as a call for a ban altogether, as a result, the traditionalists raise such a roar that the proposal instantly hangs in the air. Until the next major execution, when someone again wants to circle the water and throw a stone at it.
This is already a tradition for them. Someone will shoot someone, opponents of weapons will begin to demand toughening, supporters will shout that their rights guaranteed by the Constitution are being violated, that, they say, the victims could defend themselves, because they themselves had the opportunity to acquire weapons.
One way or another, someone is undoubtedly benefiting from this undoubtedly deeply politicized issue. All this not only increases the degree of militarization, but also helps to split the society, which makes it more easily managed.

Today’s massacre is filled with symbolism: Las Vegas, casinos, country music. All this is suspiciously closely associated with Trump and his supporters – traditionalists, for whom the right to guns is sacred. Since gun supporters are Trump’s base constituency, it is simply unacceptable to expect him to make Obama-like statements that the issue of guns should be studied. For rednecks, this question is closed, it does not exist at all. They are already not very happy with Trump’s vague position on the incidents with the demolition of Confederate monuments. If Trump now says something that casts doubt on his commitment to the cult of weapons, it will greatly disappoint his already small support group in him.
On the other hand, his silence will expose him to even more criticism from his Democrat opponents, who, for God’s sake, are now just going all over America on the subject of disarming typical Trump supporters, one of whom today staged the most massive massacre in history America.
No, I don’t mean to say that this is a setup. Although in the face of unprecedented pressure on Trump from his opponents, who use completely wild and schizophrenic arguments for this, starting from the fact that Moscow brought him to power and ending with the covert support of nationalists, I will not be surprised at anything. In any case, Trump receives another test from scratch, and the test is a key issue of domestic policy, which cannot be brushed aside, like almost any foreign policy issue. Both sides are hardened to the limit and will wait for the president’s decision.
Photo: globallookpress
Even if Trump mutters something about the need for tighter control, and the righteous anger of the rednecks does not immediately burn him in his furious flame, in any case, there will be those who will say that, they say, under Obama, this did not and could not be, that it is under Trump that the degree of hatred and intolerance in society has risen to outrageous heights, etc.
Preschoolers are ready and eager to learn! They marvel at new experiences and show great initiative in learning to create and use symbols to represent present and non-present objects (e.g., representational drawings, letters, words, numbers). They have learned (syntactically and pragmatically) to ask questions, the most common of which is “why” or “how.” As a result, they are also learning the words, and the concept behind words, such as “because” or “so” (e.g., Why does my bike go? Because I push the pedals).
By the age of three, children have a basic understanding of category formation (e.g., which items are living vs. non-living, sorting by color, etc.), as well as a basic understanding of cause and effect (e.g., When I run, my heart beats faster). For two fun online ways to foster your child’s cause-and-effect understanding, try Rotate and Roll or Flabby Physics.
Across the preschool years, children are learning to count by rote, perform basic addition (“If I add one more to my group, I will have 4”), sequence events, and tell time on the hour and half hour. They are learning 1-1 correspondence—the ability to map an individual item onto a distinct number…to literally touch each item as they count them as opposed to counting by rote as they sweep their finger across the group. By the time they are six, they are also learning to sort objects by more than one criteria (e.g., size and shape). For a fun sorting game that will let your child sort the same items by different characteristics, try this Alien Competition game. Draw your child’s attention to the fact that different aliens “win,” depending on the criteria used to categorize.
Over the preschool years, children learn to draw intentionally, moving from marks they label to complex images they preplan. For example, most 5-year-olds can draw a person with head, body, arms, legs, facial features, hair, etc. They can name a number of colors and not only arrange items by size or weight, but also create patterns with them and compare items. Matching skills and a basic understanding of symmetry also come online in this period. For a magical symmetry experience, check out Charlie and Lola’s Butterfly Gallery.
Learning for children this age is best done through hands-on meaning-driven interactions, where children can discover properties of items before being asked to apply knowledge. For example, allow children to interact with tubes, funnels, and water, before expecting them to problem solve how to get water from a bucket on the ground up to the water table. Learning at this age is not about memorizing, but is instead about uncovering. The process could be Piagetian (e.g., independent discovery) or Vygotskian (e.g., assisted discovery through social interactions with more knowledgeable others in cooperative learning experiences). Children this age thirst for knowledge and can become frustrated if the process feels too hard. Set your child up for success by setting reasonably attainable goals and providing not only support, but also the opportunity to come back to challenges on different occasions through different venues.
Preschoolers devour themes, and using a favorite topic (e.g., dinosaurs, fire trucks, fairies, etc.) is often a way to invite children to take on additional challenges. Think puzzles, games, experiments, stories, actions, open-ended toys, and anything that involves pretend play. Imagination, creativity, language development, social development, intellectual development, and academic learning all go hand-in-hand at this age.
Children are by definition egocentric during this time, which means that they are not able to spontaneously take on the viewpoint of another. They literally believe that their thoughts are shared by everyone else. It is not until children enter concrete operations (around the age of 7 or 8) that egocentrism begins to wane.
Preschoolers also have not learned to independently draw inferences and often need to be guided to making conclusions or generalizations. For example, they may stumble upon the discovery that 3+5=8, but will not yet understand that every time they add 3 items to 5 items they will get 8 items. It is only through guidance, trial-and-error, and development that children will come to this type of reasoning on their own. However, active manipulation, observations, and involvement in experiences and situations allows them to form theories that they then confirm or refute. For example, they will wonder what will happen if they mix yellow and blue paints and revel in the discovery of green. They will test this discovery in multiple settings, remaining surprised for a period of time with each confirmation. Gradually, however, the knowledge becomes theirs to command and apply in various settings. Click here for some fun ways to encourage this level of thinking and learning.
7 Fun And Easy Learning Activities For 3-Year-Olds
Finding activities for 3-year-olds should be easy, but that’s not always the case.
Maybe you’ve planned a few fun games to keep your child entertained during the day. These were activities they loved last week, so surely they’ll still find them entertaining. Not today.
For some reason, these games no longer hit the sweet spot, and your child looks at you as if to say, “Is this all you’ve got?”
We’ve been there! So what can you do?
Fear not. We’ve compiled a list of creative and engaging activities to keep your three-year-old entertained (and learning!) at home.
Importance Of Learning Activities For 3-Year-Olds
Three-year-olds have a lot of energy, and they are often eager to try new experiences. This is great because, while engaging in activities, your child has the opportunity to develop many valuable skills.
For instance, hands-on activities — in which your child molds, cuts, sticks, sorts, or manipulates objects — help them develop motor skills. They also help your child learn to follow directions for precision and accuracy.
All of these skills can be used later in life with important, daily actions such as writing and tying shoelaces.
Similarly, activities like putting puzzles together and playing with building blocks help develop reasoning skills and creativity, to name just two benefits for your child. .
Different learning activities for 3-year-olds can also help your child exercise patience, perseverance, and logical thinking. These are all important for a young child’s development.
The first six years of a child’s life are a critical period for brain development. When children engage in activities that incorporate multiple skills simultaneously (like listening, talking, and using their hands), it activates more areas of the brain and helps enhance learning.
How To Approach Activities For 3-Year-Olds
Keep It Simple
So often, parents assume they have to find the most elaborate activities and games for their children. Of course, you’re free to do so, but it’s important to know that’s not always necessary.
Three year olds are fascinated by lots of simple things — different colors and shapes, how these colors change when you mix them (e.g., red and blue make purple), kicking a ball, storybooks about dinosaurs, baking cookies, and so on.
To create engaging learning activities for 3-year-olds, you don’t have to overwhelm yourself. Instead, you can use many everyday items you already have around the house.
Allow For Creativity
Life is full of rules, so, during these activities, why not just let your child be, well, a child? If they decide to paint a blue dog, that’s OK! And if they choose to create a 10-legged cat, what’s the big deal?
It’s essential to allow your child to do crafts in their own way and give them ownership over the experience.
That being said, always consider whether or not you’re up for a mess. Sure, the Pinterest images of children covered in colorful paint or glitter look like a blast, but we all know someone has to clean that up!
If you’ve had a long week at work, for instance, there’s nothing wrong with choosing activities for 3-year-olds that will not drain the little bit of energy you have left, and then leaving the messy ones for a less stressful time.
Be Flexible And Patient
While introducing different activities, it’s important to understand that your child might prefer some over others. That’s OK!
At this age, your child is learning who they are and what they’re comfortable with. Understanding their likes and dislikes is part of the learning process for us as parents.
7 Fun And Easy Learning Activities For 3-Year-Olds
1) Number Hunt
What You’ll Need:
From teddy bears to building blocks to balls, any fun items can be used for this activity!
What To Do:
Ask your three-year-old to find an item or a group of items. For example, ask them to find one teddy, two socks, and three balls. To add a little more excitement to the mix, you can also time your child. Can they find the items in just one minute?
If recalling all this information is a little tricky for your child right now, that’s OK. You can start by asking them to search for one item at a time (e.g., one teddy, and then one sock, and then one ball) and progress from there.
This is a great activity for an active young child. It helps to get those mental juices flowing as they will need to remember what items they need to find and the number they need for each.
2) Pasta Necklaces
What You’ll Need:
Dry, uncooked pasta (the tubed ones, to be specific)
Sealable plastic bags
Food coloring
A cotton thread or string (you can also use an old shoelace)
Tray
Paper towel
Optional: rubbing alcohol and beads
What To Do:
Start by placing the pasta into your plastic bags, and then add a few drops of food coloring and some rubbing alcohol. Note that you don’t have to use rubbing alcohol, but it helps to dry the food coloring faster.
After adding the coloring, seal the bag properly and give it a good shake. Now pour the colored pasta out on your trays (which you’ve lined with paper towels) and allow them to dry.
While waiting for the pasta to dry, you can cut the desired necklace length for your child out of the thread and string and tie a knot on one of the ends.
Once the pasta is dry, your child can then string the pasta and the beads (optional) to make a necklace. When they reach the end of the string, remember to tie the two sides together.
This is a fun way to help your child practice counting (“How many pieces of pasta are you adding?”), continue developing their fine motor skills, and tap into their creativity.
3) Trace Yourself
What You’ll Need:
Crayons
Paper sheets
What To Do:
This activity requires the least amount of prep and can be great for an easy afternoon when you’re in the mood for low mess levels.
The simplest body part to start with is your child’s hands. Once your child has mastered tracing out their hands, they can progress to their feet.
(For even more fun, use a very large piece of paper and trace your child’s whole body. They can then color features and clothes.)
This is an excellent way to help your child practice their grip on items (fine motor skills, anyone?), as they will need to firmly hold onto the crayons throughout.
4) Make An Ocean
What You’ll Need:
HOMER Sail The Ocean printable coloring page
Crayons, markers, or colored pens
What To Do:
Help your child color in the printable and discover all the interesting creatures that live in our seas!
This is a great activity to help familiarize your child with ocean creatures. You can encourage them to give the fishies silly names and even make up stories about them.
This activity helps kids express their creativity and continue practicing their coloring.
5) Build A City
What You’ll Need:
Building blocks
What To Do:
Help your child discover their inner architect by building their own city. The city can have high-rise buildings, a community park, and even a local candy store. There are no limitations!
This activity will help your child channel their creativity and problem-solving skills. They will also learn important life concepts, like understanding that for a building to be solid, they’ll need to create a firm foundation.
6) Watch It Grow
What You’ll Need:
HOMER printable field notes template
Crayons or pencils
A large jar (glass or clear plastic)
Fast-growing seeds (e.g. peas or beans)
Paper towels
An old milk or juice carton
A ruler or measuring tape
What To Do:
Start by asking your child to fill the jar with paper towels, and then pour water onto the paper towels until they are slightly damp.
Proceed to “plant” the seeds into the damp towels. Remember to position them near the edge so you can see them grow! You can then use the printable to decorate the watering can (the milk or juice carton) and add a tag with the plant’s name.
Over the following days, ask your child to note anything they observe from the seeds. They can also measure the growth and log field notes to track the changes. Remember to add some water if the paper towels dry out.
This is a great activity to help your child practice using a measuring tool. They will also learn how plants grow, as well as the importance of water, sunlight, and patience!
7) Create Your Own Color Hunt
What You’ll Need:
Crayons
Five objects that match each color crayon in or around the house
Optional: HOMER Make a Color Hunt printable
What To Do:
Draw a square in the center of a piece of paper (or use the optional Make a Color Hunt printable). After drawing the square, use just one color to color it in. Lastly, hand your child the paper and ask them to find five items in or around the house that have the same color.
For young kids who aren’t counting yet, you can place items into a bucket or box and ask them to find the items from inside that match the color in the box.
This is a great activity to help with sorting, learning colors, and counting.
Let The Adventures Continue!
There are lots of ways to help your child stay entertained, engaged, and learning while at home! Whether you choose all or some of the above activities for 3-year-olds, remember to incorporate a mixture to help your child continue developing different important skills.

checklist for parents from a Czech specialist / Education / Immigration / 420on.cz Prague City Portal
It would seem that yesterday you brought an envelope from the hospital, and today the baby is already three years old. Now the child has become a preschooler. What changes await him in the coming year in psychological and physical terms? Especially for parents, we have prepared a checklist that takes into account the developmental features of three-four-year-old children.
Physical development of children 3-4 years old
Early preschool age is a new stage in the life of children. At this age, the baby usually:
– already knows how to jump, run, climb objects;
– attempts to play group games;
– gaining weight slightly, only 1-2 kg per year;
– grows by 3-7 cm;
– has up to 20 milk teeth.
Mental development of children 3-4 years old
This period is characterized by the fact that the child begins to identify himself as a person and requires a proper attitude. In a small person appear:
– stubbornness;
– negativism;
– attempts to command;
– overestimated independence;
– jealousy.
Parents should remember that it is at this age that the child has the first crisis, which they, as older and more experienced, must help to cope with.
Social and communicative development of children 3-4 years old
At this age it is important to teach the child:
– to say hello when meeting other children and adults;
– get to know peers;
– share and exchange;
– take part in joint games with other children;
– use fantasy in joint games;
– be able to tell about yourself: what is his name, what are the names of his parents;
– speak polite words and know the rules of behavior in society.
Intellectual development of a child at 3-4 years old
Starting from the age of three, a certain knowledge base is formed in the child, which he tries to apply. The kid actively gets acquainted with the world around him and by his age should already know:
– names and characteristics of 10 pets;
– 5-7 species of birds, be able to show them in the picture;
– 4-5 varieties of fish;
– 4-5 varieties of insects;
– names of the main plants growing in the region: up to 5 species of trees and flowers;
– names of vegetables, berries, fruits and mushrooms that grow in the region and are sold on the shelves;
– what is the difference between the characteristics of materials such as wood, glass, stone, plastic;
– times of day and their characteristics;
– the seasons and how they differ;
– natural phenomena;
– parts of the body, and be able to show them;
– 3-5 popular professions;
– up to 10 types of vehicles;
– what is the difference between a city and a village.
Logical and mathematical development of children 3-4 years old
Between the ages of three and four, basic logical operations and mathematical concepts improve. If a child is given enough attention, then at this age he can confidently:
– count up to 10;
– name the primary colors;
– know geometric shapes;
– know the concepts more – less, many – few, high – low, etc.;
– compare objects according to 1-2 features;
– add pictures from fragments;
– find differences between similar pictures.
Parents should actively encourage children of this age to engage in independent activities by offering to complete certain tasks.
Speech development of children 3-4 years old
By the age of three, a baby should be able to:
– compose simple phrases;
talk about recent events;
– use speech as a way of obtaining new information;
– retell a fairy tale based on illustrations;
– talk about yourself;
– try to change words by case.
By the age of four, a child should have mastered the following skills:
– describe the seen image;
– quickly formulate one’s thoughts;
– know the signs of objects;
– use verbs;
– repeat complex phrases after adults;
– give your first and last name;
– invent your own words, determine the meaning of incomprehensible words.
Artistic development of a 3-4 year old child
The ability to express one’s feelings through creativity plays an important role in the formation of a child’s psyche. At the age of 3-4 years, it is desirable for a child to master the following types of creativity:
– applications of colored paper, natural materials, wadding;
– molding from plasticine and clay;
– construction;
– cutting along the contour with children’s scissors with round ends;
– origami – folding figures without the use of scissors and glue;
– in addition to classes aimed at developing creative potential, the child should be offered to develop knowledge in painting, music, and literature.
Keep your finger on the pulse of your baby’s development. But do not get carried away by the fears of not having time to develop the child according to the generally accepted scale. Children develop differently! And if, nevertheless, there is doubt that your child keeps up with their peers, the personal assistance of a preschool teacher will not hurt.

What is the danger of early education of children?
Basic concepts
First, let’s define what early learning is and how it differs from early development. After all, these two concepts have practically merged in the minds of many parents.
Early development is the directed activity of an adult in relation to a child of preschool age, stimulating cognitive interest. If a mother enthusiastically tells how her child came up with or mastered new tricks and rules of the game or a new way of laying a route from room to room, etc. , she rejoices in his development.
And early learning is the directed activity of an adult in relation to a child of preschool age, as a result of which the child acquires knowledge and skills to perform certain types of activities (read, count, possess certain information).
Today, many intelligent, well-educated parents are literally embraced by the idea of early development. Almost from birth, they are included in a real race – a child still lying in the cradle is introduced to letters, at the age of two they are taught numbers, and by the age of three they are connected to a foreign language.
Much of this is influenced by new discoveries about how the brain works in the last two decades.
Now we know that in the first years of a person’s life, the brain develops extremely intensively. He is very sensitive to information from the outside and absorbs it, literally like a sponge. We know that a lot of things are “too late after three”, and therefore we try to fit as much useful information into the heads of our beloved children as possible in order to make their lives easier in the future and create a competitive advantage.
Are we missing anything in our efforts?
This is what recent research suggests: the brain is not a homogeneous mass of neurons. It is a complex system consisting of many substructures. They mature in a certain sequence: from stem and subcortical formations to the cortex, from the posterior sections of the brain to the anterior ones, and from the right hemisphere to the left.
First, the departments are formed that are responsible for the sense organs, movements and emotions, for the perception of space and rhythm, those departments that provide energy for memory, attention, thinking.
And only then – the departments responsible for the complex functions of control, speech, ability to read, write.
When we force a three-year-old child to read, we load those departments that have not yet matured. It’s not just pointless, it’s harmful.
If the task that we offer a child conflicts with the process of brain maturation, a kind of “energy stealing” occurs – we kind of divert energy into a different direction, and these unplanned energy losses hinder natural development.
If earlier neurophysiologists believed that certain areas of the brain were responsible for performing certain intellectual tasks, then with new discoveries it is obvious that as the brain develops and new areas mature, the neural circuits responsible for processing information change. And the more plastic the brain, the more chances a growing child has in adulthood to reach the maximum of his intellectual potential.
When we engage in early learning and obsessively introduce a child to abstract concepts, he activates the neural circuits available to him, which further reduces the plasticity of the brain. If a child learns to solve an incomprehensible and irrelevant task for himself in a certain way, it will be more difficult for his brain to change the method of solving it to a more efficient one.
Energy stealing of brain regions, for example, those that are responsible for body movement and perception of space until the age of 4, may well cause a child to remain awkward and clumsy for life.

My name is Renae, I have been running an in-home state-approved family day care for nineteen years. I currently do not have any openings. I am CPR/First Aid Certified! We have a huge fenced yard with aplayground and lots of room for the kids to play and have fun, we also have circle time, arts and crafts, and I work with the kids on their ABC’s/123’s, etc. The kids will not just sit in a room and watch TV all day. I enjoy spending my days with children. You can feel secure bringing your child to my home knowing he/she will have lots of fun and be in a safe, clean environment. I have two school-age children of my own, and a loving husband, with a clean background, who helps me out from time to time. I am available between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and my rates are $135 per week, all meals are included. Please give me a call to set up an appointment to come and see us. Thank you…

Private kindergarten near Ostafyevo, Bridge of Children’s Dreams
Skip to content
Home private kindergarten near Ostafyevo, Bridge of Children’s Dreams. Recruitment of preschool children (from 1 to 7 years old) in a day stay group.
More about kindergarten
Modern life is organized in such a way that children cannot spend all their time with their parents. In addition, for full development, children need communication with other adults and peers, a change of scenery. The kindergarten in Ostafyevo is one of the best preschool institutions in the region.
Development organization
Ostafyevo Nursery has modern equipment and opportunities for organizing early development of children of all ages:
A private kindergarten for toddlers differs from a free one not only in its high educational rating, the presence of electronic means and other equipment. Our pupils have the opportunity of full and comprehensive enrichment in accordance with age needs.
Private nursery – not just a kindergarten from 1 year old. The team leader is responsible for more than just the health and safety of the wards. The mode of stay is formed in such a way that children from this age are already involved in the program of the musical, aesthetic and cognitive process using modern methods.
In groups for older children, game development programs are organized in various directions. Parents can not only save time and money, but also be confident in a qualified approach to organizing your child’s time.
Educational and wellness
Not every English kindergarten offers water activities and activities that are so useful for this age. Our kindergarten with a swimming pool replaces not only a center for creativity and language learning – regular water games and training strengthen the health of our wards. Early development implies not only mental, but also physical functions.
A kindergarten with a speech therapist will allow you to eliminate your child’s speech problems at an early stage. This will remove the annoying restrictions in free communication, often occurring at an early age.
Our kindergarten is paid, so we are responsible for the quality, high level and a wide range of our services. By choosing our kindergarten in Ostafyevo, you get a whole list of programs and services that a home kindergarten in your neighborhood is not able to offer.
Holidays
Parents can safely work or even go on vacation. Your children will be under constant supervision. Holidays are a great opportunity to relax with fun games, educational animation activities, theatrical performances, pony rides and many other unforgettable experiences.
Getting there
On our site you can see the kindergarten on the map and find the most convenient way from your home or work. Here you can find other answers to your questions.
Private kindergarten Butovo Park 2, prices, paid kindergarten in the children’s center Constellation
Whatever they say about the kindergarten by registration, it is not always easy to get into it, and it is quite difficult to influence the quality of classes, so more and more parents living in the Butovo Park area, they surf the Internet in search of a good private kindergarten.
Let us introduce a small Montessori kindergarten from the Sozvezdie children’s development center located in South Butovo.
Kindergarten not far from home
A few hours of free time without a child to solve everyday issues and emotional recharge are simply necessary even for non-working mothers, therefore, although residents of the Butovo Park district try not to leave their kids for a long time, they understand that without a private kindergarten not to be nearby.
With us, you do not just leave your baby under supervision, but entrust him for several hours in the hands of professionals, knowing that you will spend these hours with benefit.

A rich development program according to the Maria Montessori system – a private kindergarten near Butovo Park
We created this garden not just as a mother’s lifesaver, but as a place for the versatile and harmonious development of preschoolers. We thought over the equipment of the center to the smallest detail, and only teachers with specialized education and productive work experience were accepted into the staff. That is why families are not afraid to leave their babies with us.
Classes in a private kindergarten near the Butovo Park 2 complex are held in the morning for 3.5 hours and include work with Montessori materials in a specially organized environment.
A rich program awaits your little one:
development of everyday life skills and cognitive processes,
creative activities,
use of elements of fairy tale therapy,
speech development with a speech therapist,
sensorimotor development,
outdoor games,
science and geography classes,
Montessori game teaching of reading, writing and counting.
The teachers of our private kindergarten in the branch near Butovo Park thought out the schedule so that at the end the child would not be overexcited or overloaded with information.

Appleview Early Learning Center and Preschool understands and respects the uniqueness of each child. The schools primary mission is to foster a love of learning while providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can have fun as they explore, play and learn with one another. We strive to instill integrity, compassion and confidence. We focus on providing a stimulating early care and education experience, to promote social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language development. Ultimately, through our program and staff dedication each child will be prepared for his/her upcoming elementary years.
At Appleview Early Learning Center & Preschool, we are dedicated to providing outstanding educational childcare. We understand the potential that each child has and believe that curiosity is what drives children to explore, play, and learn! Our low teacher-to-student ratio will provide each child with the individual attention needed to help them succeed in his/her development. Teachers encourage children to explore, think creatively, and work both independently and cooperatively. Ultimately, each child is provided with support and encouragement to become his or her own unique self.
We also understand every parents concerns when leaving his/her child somewhere for the first time and every childs feelings when being separated from his/her family. Therefore, we aim to build a positive and welcoming community that is a home away from home. We provide a relaxed admissions process, remarkable certified teachers, developing curriculum, extracurricular activities, and extended hours for children ages 6 weeks 5 years.
We invite you to come visit our school to take a tour, and enquire about our curriculum, programs, and exciting activities available for your child! We enjoy speaking with families, providing advice, and of course answering any questions you may have.
A positive parent-teacher relationship is essential to the educational success of our children, that’s why our teachers make it a priority to keep an open line of communication. Learning is an interactive process between the teachers and the children. Our certified teachers and caregivers are true professionals and partners in the caring and teaching of each child. They prepare lesson plans and activities that are appropriate for each age group and consider the different needs, interests, and developmental levels of individual children.
Most importantly, parents and teachers work together to develop goals for each child. Teachers work as mediators to emphasize language acquisition and development. They provide children with opportunities to play and work with other children, make choices, encounter consequences, and negotiate social conflicts using appropriate language.
The curriculum we follow in our program is based on the concept that children learn through exploration and play. It is vital to us that children build their knowledge through exploration, interaction with real life materials, and imitation of role models. Children work with teachers in a collaborative environment to address different areas of development. In this type of setting, knowledge and authority is shared between teachers and students. Teachers hold important knowledge about skills, content, and instruction, and provide that information to students. However, students also provide knowledge, personal experiences, language, strategies, and culture, which teachers value and build upon. Teachers work as facilitators and mediators in creating rich environments by linking new information to prior knowledge. This provides opportunities for collaborative work and problem solving, and offering students a wide range of genuine learning tasks.
“Our daughter thrived at Appleview. We watched her grow from a shy, cautious three-year-old to a confident five-year-old during her time there. She was excited to go to school every day to learn and play, and we were at ease knowing she was spending her days with teachers who understood and appreciated the unique qualities of our daughter. Appleview is a special place!”
– Alviar Family
“Our twins attended Appleview for two years (ages 2-4) and during this time we always knew our children were in a safe, caring, fun, and educational environment. Amanda, the owner and director, was especially hands-on and always available to answer any questions. The fact that our boys did not want to leave at the end of the day assured us that we made the right decision in choosing Appleview!”
– Patel Family
“The absolute best! My daughter spent two years at Appleview and blossomed in every area of development. Their curriculum and enrichment class are amazing and totally geared toward the child at their level of development. The teachers are so warm, caring, nurturing that I felt comfortable leaving my precious one in their care. The director and teachers are always available to discuss both progress and challenges. Also, being a single mom, they became a big part of my support structure. Unfortunately, I had to leave the area for work, otherwise my daughter would still be there.”
– Stamm Family
“My son began attending Appleview at 19 months old and loved being there. Amanda, the teachers and staff are professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and took great care of my son. The communication with the school is the best I have experienced and my son thrived with the curriculum, extra activities and field trips through the 2.5 years he attended Appleview.”
– Family since 2013
“Finding the right school is much like shopping for a house – you know it when you’ve found one. That was our first impression with Appleview. The fresh scent in the classroom, bright and welcoming spaces, and details for children’s safety were only the baseline. The energy of the teachers, the loving and caring atmosphere, and a diverse student body, were the elements that won us over.
Now, four years and two children later, I can attest that Amanda and the staff had earned our *trust* and *respect* by demonstrating consistency on the quality of curriculum, equal attention to the children, balanced training on social as well as daily manners, and a continuous effort to provide a safer and better learning environment. We witnessed all of these in the past 1300+ days, and there is more.
Amanda and the staff shared their genuine love and thoughtfulness not only to the children, but to the parents as well, for example, their responsiveness to our requests and concerns, running out in the snow to get the kids in, festivities on holidays, and the well-anticipated, highly-praised parents-night-out to Moms and Dads for some R&R. All these up-and-beyonds have gone a long way.
Our children’s laughter in school is the best evidence of the wonder that Amanda and the staff made. We’d highly recommend Appleview, and we are confident that you’ll do the same after seeing that smile on your children’s face, too.”
– Li family
“I cant say enough good things about Appleview. Teachers and director are wonderfully warm and responsive to the children as well as the parents. My daughter was 3 months when she started and I used to call every day to check up on her. Director and asst. director were extremely friendly, informative and made me feel comfortable right away. The staff really provides an ideal setting for the introduction to formal education from a very young age. They are very patient, kind and loving. If I ever have a question or concern, it is addressed immediately. She is now in the older toddler program and learning new things every day. I along with the rest of my family and friends are impressed with how much she knows at her age and I give all the credit to her teachers. Education is A+ but, what I truly love most about the school is that it feels like everyone there – from the director and teachers to the other parents – knows and cares about your child’s growth and well-being. We cannot be happier!”
-Jerie Family
“We are Kidz Musik, a long-time “edutainment” (education & entertainment) program in Bergen and Hudson counties, est. 1999, with the majority of our programs in music and dance. We have been servicing multiple schools and recreation centers in the area, and have seen thousands of children through the years.
We can sincerely testify that we are very impressed with the structure of the Appleview operation and their loving care towards all of their students. We have been working with Appleview since their opening and would like to say: CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA AND STAFF! It’s only been a pleasure to see this school blossom to what it is now, and we have no doubt of your growth yet to come. Children are the “crme de la crme” of humanity and deserve only the very best from all of us! It is truly wonderful to witness happy children, under such loving care, in a nurturing environment that functions as an extension of their own homes and families!
Go Appleview Go!”
-Joe & Carmen from “Kidz Musik”
“Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! We are extremely happy and glad we chose to send our only son to Appleview. At one point, we felt almost jealous as Aniketh would prefer to be in school than at home. He has learned so much while he was in Appleview. Sometimes he amazed me when he explained life cycle of butterflies or solar system or solving any kind of puzzles. Teachers are wonderful each and ever one of them. He made so many new friends. I highly recommend Appleview Early Learning center.
Thank you Amanda and crew you guys are the best. Love you all
Thanks again for the wonderful 2 plus years of caring for and nurturing our son. We are grateful for that and will visit you guys when we are there next time.”
-Pramod family
“My experience at Appleview over the past two years was fantastic. Amanda and the teachers create a safe, friendly, non-competitive environment that allows the kids to learn and have fun, while parents feel comfortable leaving. Both of my boys loved every minute they were at Appleview – from the staff, to the classroom activities and extracurricular offerings. Appleview was the ideal school for my boys to begin their education. ”

“God-Sent Place for Us”. -Mia and Christian’s Mom & Dad
“I’m a mom of two beautiful children like every other mom in the nearby area
with the exception that we have one child who has a chronic illness which is
a bit restraining on our options for childcare. Appleview is literally our
home away from home where we know that our children are safe and well cared
for. After interviewing several nannies and meeting with numerous child
care facilities, Appleview’s team demonstrated the highest competency level
when it came to our daughter’s respiratory therapies while outside the home.
We wanted to give her the most normal life possible and with a household of
dual incomes we needed to find a place where both our daughter and our
family were comfortable having her attend long hours because of our
demanding careers.
Appleview was a God sent place to us during a very trying period for us as a
family with a special needs child. Our daughter’s health issue required a space where it is immensely clean at
all times, direct supervision, timely efficiency in administering
respiratory therapies, and a place where she was gong to be intellectually
stimulated. This is a very impractical checklist because it requires a
facility to be seamlessly flawless. We feared because of the amount of
medicine from neonate that it would be difficult and challenging for our
daughter to progress, instead at Appleview she mastered talking, identifying
shapes, colors, and now can identify the alphabet and write her own name. It
is extremely comforting to know that such a place exists with such a
dedicated team of early learning teachers and aides. I think what I love
most is the open door policy of being able to drop in unannounced and the
daycare being encouraging of that. I have always been able to connect with
the aides and teachers and express my concerns. Additionally, the Director
has a poise and sensibility to her character that allows you to not be
frustrated if something isn’t quite how you expect it to be–she tries to
explore every avenue for a resolution but also finds a solution in a time-efficient matter.
Our little girl has been with Appleview since she was 13 months old. We are
proud to have see. our little girl advance to a Shiny Apple. Our son has been
in the Tiny Seeds nursery since my maternity leave finished at just 10 weeks
old. He is now 9 months and already standing and cruising. There is a sense
of a much rewarded feeling when you know your children are still thriving
while you are away maintaining your career.
The location is amazing as it is close to the ferry and NJ transit bus line,
which allow for flexible drop offs and pick ups between my husband and I absolutely love the option of extra curricular activities during the
school hours so weekends don’t have to be so hectic. And not to mention date
night! Yes, you read that correct. Appleview comprehends the need for mommy
and daddy to have a normal adult conversation over dinner just down the
road.
Our children have established some incredible friendships and I’ve met
some pretty incredible moms that I’m happy to call good friends today.
I’m a believer and perhaps more of an enthusiast of this facility because it
has helped our children and family in so many ways.”

Are apples healthy? Expert opinion from Roskachestvo
Before the apple season in Roskachestvo, an experiment was conducted: they examined apples from supermarkets, bought from the hands, in the markets, and also collected in the garden of a volunteer summer resident.
Roskachestvo completed a special project – the study of apples. We set ourselves the goal of answering three main consumer questions:
Is the external beauty of an apple really deceptive, and behind it lies an unhealthy fruit stuffed with “chemistry”?
Is it true that you can buy better and healthier apples from your grandmother than in a chain supermarket, where fruits lie for several weeks without changing their appearance?
How many differences can we find between purchased apples and apples from our own garden in the country?
We have not become attached to a particular variety. Therefore, a variety of types of apples took part in the special project:
Bought from grandmothers. That is, from private sellers who allegedly sell fruits from their own garden.
Bought from the markets. And so that they look like country houses – not the most beautiful, and therefore more trustworthy for the buyer: supposedly they are more natural.
Also bought in the markets. But now they are very beautiful: red, glossy, liquid, from which there is little confidence in them.
Beautiful imported apples bought in different chain supermarkets.
Seasonal, not the most beautiful-looking apples bought in chain supermarkets.
Plucked with his own hands in the garden of a summer resident-volunteer (with his consent, of course).
Special project dedicated to quality and safety of watermelons included 174 indicators. This number of parameters was a record. However, apples beat the record for watermelons. We examined these fruits according to 200 indicators, 148 of which are again pesticides. In addition, this is a check for the presence of nitrates, toxic elements and infections, as well as a strict organoleptic assessment (appearance, presence of defects, taste and smell, pulp condition) and usefulness assessment (content of iron, pectin, fiber, vitamin C and other useful elements ).
Unfounded fears – away!
Let’s figure out what exactly you don’t need to be afraid of in apples, what is not as popular as they say, and what the danger actually lurks.
There is definitely no need to be afraid of an increased amount of nitrates, radionuclides and GMOs. Tells Director of the Research Department of Roskachestvo Lyudmila Vikulova .
About nitrates:
– In the case of fruits that grow on trees, the fear of nitrates is unfounded. Apples grow on a tree, so they do not receive those harmful substances that can accumulate in the soil. including nitrates. Nitrates, as a rule, can accumulate in the roots of plants, so they are not found in large quantities in the fruits themselves.
About radionuclides:
– And the fear that apples might be radioactive is unfounded. Radionuclides, again, if they accumulate, then in the soil. Apples are a product in which there is little or no accumulation of radionuclides, compared, for example, with other vegetables and fruits. Well, in general, according to statistics, radionuclides have never been detected in apples. Therefore, there is no reason to think that they will suddenly appear there.
About GMO:
– No reason to improve apple varieties. Scientists breed hybrids and work with those crops whose yield needs to be increased. Among these, for example, potatoes, corn, wheat are mass consumption products. As for apples, not many genetically modified varieties have been bred at the moment. For example, one of the few is “Arctic”, which was bred by Canadian geneticists. However, its right to free circulation on the market is still being discussed.
The expert’s opinion is confirmed by the fact that we did not find excesses in these parameters in the studied apples.
You can be afraid, but we did not find
Spoilage of fresh fruits, vegetables and berries is quite common. Damaged, somewhere frozen, overripe … And add to this the wrong storage mode, for example, too humid and hot air – and that’s it! Nothing will save fruit from disease and spoilage.
However, the problem turned out to be not so acute: we did not find any violations in microbiological parameters in the studied apples . Namely: they did not contain mold, yeast, E. coli and other pathogens, as well as patulin.
What is patulin?
Patulin is a powerful toxin that forms in moldy and rotten fruits. If a characteristic brown spot appears on the skin of an apple, it means that the mycotoxin patulin has developed in it. The use of such an apple can lead to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. By the way, it is very “tenacious”: it is not killed even by pasteurization and conservation. The desire to use rotten apples for jam and jam is swept aside!
In our study, parasites also remained “out of work”. No eggs and larvae of helminths and cysts of intestinal pathogenic protozoa were found. By the way, do not confuse parasites with worms, which can sometimes be found in fruits (especially in those plucked in the country garden). These caterpillars are indicators that there are no insecticides in apples (otherwise they would kill the caterpillar) or other “chemistry”. If a worm eats the fruit, a person can safely eat it.
We will not say that there are no problems with microbiology and parasitology at all. But we did not meet them, which means that these problems are not so relevant for apples.
Also, we during the study did not meet apples that accumulated heavy metals . This problem is more relevant for root crops. Heavy metals can accumulate in potatoes, radishes, carrots, and beets. Among fruits and berries, black currants and gooseberries fall under the impact of heavy metals faster than apples.
Another vain fear is fruits treated with wax, or, as the people say, with paraffin.
To prevent apples from drying out and softening, in most cases they are processed by waxing, that is, using wax. Such apples stand out among nondescript fruits with a glossy sheen. Such “rejuvenating” apples can lie on the counter for much longer than those plucked at their own dacha. Usually they are suspicious of the buyer: they are too beautiful and stored for too long to be natural. Probably, people think, it’s the paraffin. However, this is a common misconception – wax is not dangerous in itself. It has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a coating on fruits and vegetables to preserve their appearance and prevent mold during transport, storage and sale. To wash off the wax, just wash the apple with plain warm water. But you can play it safe and wipe the surface of the apple with a cloth soaked in vinegar (for example, apple cider vinegar) or a solution of lemon juice and soda (1: 1).
Another issue is the toxic components that wax absorbs: pesticides (fungicides). As a general rule, a waxed apple has likely been treated with pesticides as well. Because the wax in this case serves as a kind of shell that fixes the pesticides. The goal is the same: to maintain a presentable appearance. However, pesticides are a completely different topic, they will be discussed below.
By the way, we did not meet wax on the skin of apples at all, although both ordinary-looking and beautiful, bulk apples took part in the study.
Pesticides – a sensitive issue
During the study, we did not find traces of pesticides only in country apples. But they were in all purchased. Thus:
The presence of “foreign” substances in apples does not depend on the country of origin. Pesticides can be found in both Russian and imported apples.
Betting on a particular point of sale will not insure you against the presence of pesticides in apples. And from the hands of a grandmother, you can buy fruits treated with “chemistry”.
However, we should not be afraid of what we have discovered. Fungicides were found in trace amounts that did not exceed the limits set by the European Union.
At the moment, in Russia, the presence of pesticides in apples is not regulated at the legislative level (with the exception of three types of pesticides, two of which have not been used in agriculture for decades). However, as the test results showed, they are in apples. Therefore, Roskachestvo took the initiative to correct the revealed imperfection of the legislation and sent a proposal to the Ministry of Agriculture to introduce standards for a wide range of pesticides. We took into account international experience and proceeded from the values established in the world.
Firstly, this initiative is needed for the consumer: no one wants to be poisoned by “chemistry”. Secondly, it is necessary for our agriculture and the establishment of an import and export system. Such rationing will make it possible to control the indicators that are under control in Europe, and will help to avoid problems when exporting apples. And this is very important in the light of the fact that Russia is now developing the production of its own apples in order not only to provide the domestic market, but also to start exporting.
Most types of fungicides * were in apples from supermarket chains (both in seasonal ugly ones and in glossy imported ones).
* Fungicides – pesticides that protect the plant from fungi and preserve its presentation.
Despite the fact that the apples were treated with fungicides, the presentation of some of them was still badly damaged. The most popular defect is scab .
What is a scab?
Scab is a common apple disease. An apple with scab is covered with black spots. It is not dangerous for a person to eat such an apple, the scab will simply spoil the appearance of the fruit very much. By the way, scab is not contagious and will not be transmitted to healthy fruits, unlike, for example, fruit rot. However, fruits affected by scab become more vulnerable to other diseases (the same rot).
Why was scab found on apples treated with fungicides?
Either the apples were processed after the growing season (vegetation is the growth and development of plants), or after harvesting to extend the shelf life and transportation, or during the growing season, but the processing itself was ineffective.
One apple a day and… nothing will happen
“An apple for dinner and you don’t need a doctor,” says folk wisdom. In reality, this is not quite the case. Unfortunately, the results of our study show that many people are very misled about the benefits of apples.
The biggest misconception is that an apple is rich in iron.
This is indicated by a brown coating, which covers a fresh cut of the fetus in a matter of seconds. Allegedly, this is oxidized iron. Firstly, the brown coating on the apple is its protection against damage, the action of polyphenols (see below). Secondly, as the study showed, in order to fill the body’s daily need for iron *, you need to eat at least 2 kilograms of apples per day!
* The daily iron requirement for women is about 18-20 mg per day, for men – 15-18 mg per day.
Where does the brown coating come from on the cut of an apple?
From complex. Apple contains a lot of antioxidants – polyphenols. Oxidized by enzymes, they turn into quinones. Now it’s easier. Quinones are strong oxidizing agents that can react with anything. Accordingly, when they remain on a fresh cut of an apple, they react with oxygen and oxidize. A brown patch appears. The cut of bananas, peaches, pears, persimmons, potatoes and mushrooms also darkens. This reaction is the usual protection of fruits from pests. To start the oxidation process, you need to make a cut, which means damaging the apple. Imagine that the fruit is gnawed (that is, damaged) by a caterpillar. Firstly, the brown coating that forms on the damaged surface of the apple tightens the damage and protects the pulp of the fruit from penetration of the damage into the depths. Secondly, the substances that are formed as a result of oxidation processes are themselves toxic to microorganisms and fungi. They can harm the digestion of the caterpillar. Well, or just make the fruit tasteless to her.
Most iron in cocoa powder (22 mg per 100 g, 157% of the daily requirement). Then come sesame and seaweed (16 mg per 100 g, 114% of the daily requirement), after – wheat bran (14 mg per 100 g, 100% of the daily requirement).
One hundred grams of apples meet approximately 16% of the daily iron requirement. But in the same way, 100 grams of pears satisfy 16% of the daily requirement for iron. These are not record figures at all. As you can see, more iron is found not in fruits, but in products of a different origin. Even 100 grams of seeds satisfy 44% of the daily iron requirement. The leaders in iron content among fruits are quince (100 grams satisfy 21% of the daily requirement) and persimmon (100 grams satisfy 18% of the daily requirement).
The expert completely smashed the myth about the apple as a valuable source of iron:
Marina Kopytko
Candidate of Medical Sciences, Dietitian, Head of the Department of Dietology at the Revital Park Clinic
– It is believed that apples contain a lot of iron. In fact, firstly, there really isn’t much of it, and secondly, the iron found in apples is poorly absorbed by the body. This is the so-called inorganic form of iron. The most useful in apples is the macronutrient potassium. It has a complex effect: on the one hand, it is a diuretic, on the other hand, it has a beneficial effect on the heart, supports our nervous system. In addition, apples contain a lot of organic acids necessary for digestion: malic, citric. Finally, an apple has a lot of dietary fiber – fiber, which enriches our diet and makes the intestines work.
Read more about how apples are useful, and what benefits they are groundlessly attributed to – HERE .
It is curious that most of all malic acid was in country apples (two or even three times more than in purchased ones). Similarly with vitamin C. However, this depends on the variety and degree of maturity. During ripening, the amount of sugars may increase and the amount of vitamin C may decrease.
True, in order to satisfy the daily requirement, you will need to eat a little more than a kilogram of these apples. The least vitamin C was in beautiful apples. To meet the daily requirement, you will have to eat about four kilograms per day.
Apples are an excellent source of pectin. Although to meet the daily requirement, you need to eat about four apples. On the other hand, four apples are not four kilograms of apples.
– Pectin is one of the “components” of fiber, its subclass, – explains Marina Kopytko . – After all, in fact, fiber consists of several substances that are absorbed by our body in different ways. Pectin is found not only in the peel, but also in the juicy part. This soft, delicate fiber, which is allowed for use even by patients with gastritis. In this case, the apple must be peeled or baked, thus softening the fiber. Also, pectin is a sorbent: a “cleaner”. It draws out harmful substances from the body: heavy metals, pesticides, nitrites, end products of food digestion. Previously, such substances were called ballast: there are no calories, no vitamins – why eat? But they conducted an experiment and noticed that the intestines did not work well in people who limited fiber intake. A healthy intestine is our normal immunity. Previously, in hazardous industries, apple juice with pulp was specially distributed; there are no pectins in clarified juice. Now apple pectin is sold even as a separate product.
After , Marina Kopytko gave us a scientific justification for folk wisdom:
– There is an opinion that if you eat one apple a day, you will be healthy. This statement is based on the recommendation of the WHO (World Health Organization. – Ed.) to eat three fruits a day, preferably of different colors. The so-called “traffic light rule”. But where did the practical recommendation to eat at least one apple a day come from? Experts, based on sociological studies, found that Russians, in principle, eat little fruit. And for our country, apples are the most affordable fruit. Hence the recommendation. Apples are on sale all year round – that’s what they are good for .
How to choose?
The ideal apple should be:
Whole, clean and firm to the touch.
With a dry surface and without excess external moisture: traces of dew, rain or watering. Condensation caused by the temperature difference between the refrigerator and the counter does not count.
No “wrinkles” or other signs of fading, and no dark spots.
Free from damage to the skin caused by pests or diseases (eg scab). However, mechanical damage received by apples during transportation is allowed.
Not light (at least 90 grams) and not small (at least 6 centimeters along the largest transverse diameter).
No foreign smell: unpleasant, stale (well, when you eat, pay attention that there is no foreign taste).
No white coating on the surface.
About the classification of apples
In GOST 34314-2017 for fresh apples there is a classification of apples. It is curious that it is based on red coloration: the best apple of the highest grade of group A should be almost completely red.
According to GOST 34314-2017, apples are divided into groups depending on color and varieties depending on quality (defects, etc.). With varieties, everything is simple. There are three commercial grades: the highest, the first and the second (the highest – allows minor, the second – allows a lot of defects). With groups – more difficult and more interesting. Apples are divided into four groups depending on the intensity and brightness of the red color:
A – red color;
B – heterogeneous red color;
C – pinkish color, non-uniform red color or with stripes of red color;
D – no requirements for coloring.
It is curious that apples of the highest grade of group A should be red in 3/4 of the total area, and the first grade of group A – only half. The highest grade B is half red, the first grade B is ⅓ red. Thus, in GOST there is a clear dominance of red apples over any others (yellow and green).
The most popular defect that we encountered in the study of apples is scab spots. There were also damage to the skin, pressure, abrasions, shape defects and spotting. In one case – even brown flesh. It is curious that all these defects were in the “nondescript” seasonal apples bought from the hands, in the markets or in supermarkets. Thus, the fungicides used for their cultivation are a substance harmful to humans, but not a panacea for apples at all. But the liquid beautiful apples from the markets and from supermarkets did not have any defects in appearance.
The studied apples were not affected by agricultural pests. But rotten and spoiled from overripe met.
Terminals
Finally, we come to the answers to the questions posed at the beginning of the study:
Is the external beauty of an apple really deceptive, and behind it lies an unhealthy fruit stuffed with “chemistry”?
No. As the study showed, “chemistry”, that is, pesticides, can also be in ugly apples that look like summer cottages, and even in hand-bought ones. Although we met only trace amounts. Despite this, there are more defects in these seasonal apples, they are more prone to rotting.
Is it true that you can buy better and healthier apples from your grandmother than in a chain supermarket where apples lie for several weeks without changing their appearance?
No. Both in apples bought in supermarkets and markets, and in apples from our hands, we found traces of pesticides. It is not known how the apples got into the hands at all.
How many differences will we find if we compare purchased apples and apples from our own garden in the country?
Yes. Only the apples harvested at the dacha were without traces of pesticides. Meanwhile, the appearance of country apples did not cause any complaints: no defects and no damage by pests or diseases. All purchased – treated with pesticides, albeit in small quantities. Thus, if you do not have your own apple tree, it does not matter where to buy apples. In any case, you are not immune from buying apples “with chemistry.” Even in the case of buying from hands: where is the certainty that the same grandmother sells apples not bought at a vegetable warehouse? But you should not be afraid either: we found only trace amounts of pesticides that do not exceed the standards established in the European Union.
All About Ordinary Apples | Project (preparatory group):
Research project: “Everything about ordinary apples”
Type of project: medium-term, research, group.
Duration: 1 month
Participants: children, educators, parents
Relevance of the project: the topic of health is always relevant, and strengthening and maintaining health is one of the most important tasks in our society. The apple is one of the most popular and loved by many fruits. Grows in our gardens. But not everyone knows about the benefits of apples. We really love apples! Therefore, we decided to find out: how are they useful for the body?
Problem: We read a lot of fairy tales in kindergarten. Once, while reading “The Tale of a Daring Young Man, Rejuvenating Apples and Living Water”, we learned about “rejuvenating” apples. And we thought, do rejuvenating apples really exist? We decided to find out.
Hypothesis: suppose that apples are not only tasty, but also healthy, and also necessary in the treatment of many diseases.
Purpose: to determine the benefits of apples and find out if all apples are useful.
Tasks:
Create conditions for collecting information about the beneficial properties of an apple, about the substances contained in its fruits.
To create conditions for studying the history of the origin of apples.
Carry out a series of experiments to study the properties of an apple.
Analyze the results obtained, draw conclusions on the topic of the study.
Develop cognitive and creative abilities in the process of joint activities.
Research methods:
collection and analysis of information on the topic;
interview with a kindergarten nurse;
experiment;
observation;
comparison;
study and generalization of information and results;
fixing the results with photography.
Reading cognitive literature, working with encyclopedias.

The process of education and upbringing in kindergarten is aimed at revealing in the child’s personality those qualities that he will need to achieve any goals in the future. To develop the inquisitiveness of the mind, to acquaint with the properties of objects by direct observation of phenomena and processes, to form the ability to plan and analyze practical work – these are the tasks of the modern education system. The child is capable of independent search for knowledge, if the teacher has prepared the appropriate conditions for this.
The method of experimentation creates the necessary conditions for active learning, the discovery by the child of new knowledge about the world around him. In addition, experimentation stimulates the research activity of the baby, develops logical thinking, speech and analytical abilities, teaches to see and understand cause-and-effect relationships, and forms the basics of a scientific worldview.
This project about the beneficial properties of an apple is informative and educational, able to interest preschool children in studying the world around them. The work is aimed at familiarizing with the various properties of the apple, highlighting its dignity and useful properties.
One day a girl brought a new book of fairy tales to kindergarten. We read a fairy tale from a new book “About a brave young man, rejuvenating apples and living water. ” In this tale, the youngest son of the tsar managed to take magic apples for his old father from Koshchei the Immortal himself.
The guys thought about whether there really are rejuvenating apples or only in fairy tales, they began to reason. We know that apples have vitamins, they are good for health. But there are vitamins in other fruits, but they are not called rejuvenating. Why exactly apples? We didn’t know and decided to learn more about apples. We turned to parents for help, conducted a survey among children and parents, searched for material in encyclopedias and via the Internet.
We collected a lot of material from the Internet and encyclopedias, replenished our library with new books, mothers helped to design homemade books with poems, riddles, proverbs and sayings about apples, and even with recipes for delicious apple dishes. It turns out that people have known the apple tree since ancient times, and everyone loved apples and called them affectionately: heavenly, rejuvenating, golden! Apples are beautiful and delicious fruits. At first, ancient people gathered apples in the forests and ate them. They were small, sour and bitter-tasting apples. But gradually people learned to grow large, juicy and tasty apples. Now apples are grown in almost all countries. The children’s encyclopedia says that there are 10 thousand varieties of apples. Among all fruit trees, the apple tree ranks first. And also an apple tree and apples are the heroes of Russian fairy tales. We remembered many Russian folk tales where apple trees and apples are mentioned. The apple tree is always kind in fairy tales, and apples are magical. Remember, in the fairy tale “Geese Swans”: The girl runs further and sees that there is an apple tree. “Apple tree, apple tree, where did the geese fly?” The apple tree tilted its twigs and showed the girl where the swan geese had taken Ivanushka. And in the fairy tale “Rejuvenating Apples and Living Water”, the youngest son Ivan managed to take magic apples for his old father from Koshchei the Immortal himself. Apples helped Tiny-Havroshechka find her fiancé. In the fairy tale “A Silver Saucer and a Filling Apple”, the kind girl Mashenka, with the help of an apple and magic words, managed to see various wonderful pictures, and then she married the king, became a kind queen. A. S. Pushkin describes the apple very beautifully in The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Bogatyrs. True, this apple was bewitched by an evil stepmother, but it was very beautiful:
Full of ripe juice,
So fresh and so fragrant,
So ruddy, golden,
Like poured with honey!
See through the seeds.
All these tales show that people love the apple tree, they like the fruits of this tree. What are the benefits of apples? Are all apples the same?
We decided to experiment and took different varieties of apples. First, the guys sniffed them. They are fragrant apples. Considered. The green apple was the largest and shiniest, the others were smaller. And one was the smallest green and even with a small wormhole. Artyom said that they had some apples in their garden, when they ripened, they also had wormholes. Because Artyom’s parents do not treat apple trees with any chemicals from caterpillars, since this agent can also get on the fruits. And this is very unhealthy. And we concluded that with a wormhole, apples are not even bad at all, but on the contrary, this suggests that they were not treated with chemicals and they are healthier. A wormhole can simply be cut out.
We decided to taste apples. When we washed our apples with warm water, the green, shiny apple was still somehow sticky, so we put it in hot water. But even after that, it was a little sticky. From the Internet, we learned that apples that are brought from distant countries are covered with a protective layer of wax so that they do not deteriorate. It is very difficult to wash such an apple, it is better to peel it. But the skin of an apple contains the most useful substances, and if we cut it off, then the apple becomes not so useful. We concluded that it is better to buy local apples than beautiful, shiny apples from distant lands.
Liza also told us that she and her mother found out from the Internet why an unfinished or cut apple quickly darkens. This is due to the iron that is in the apple and is good for people, just like vitamins. It improves our blood. And it darkens because iron is oxidized with oxygen.
We decided to find out if all apples contain iron. We conducted such an experiment: we cut apples into two halves. For the first apple, one of the halves was smeared with lemon juice, for the second apple, one half was put in a plastic bag and tightly tied, and we simply cut the small one with a wormhole. Put all the halves on one plate. An hour later, we checked them and saw that the halves of the smallest green apple darkened most of all. The half in the bag darkened slightly, the half smeared with lemon turned out to be white, and the halves of a large green shiny apple darkened a little. With the help of this experiment, we found out that iron is in all apples, but most of all in the smallest green apple (it darkened the most), and least of all in a large shiny green apple (it almost did not darken). And in order to save a cut apple, you need to tie it in a bag, or even better, grease it with lemon juice, like a protective film, then it will remain beautiful longer and will not darken.
Irina Valerievna told us about the benefits of apples. She works as a nurse in our kindergarten and knows exactly what is good for children to eat. Irina Valerievna said that apples must be eaten, because there are a lot of vitamins there. These vitamins strengthen the immune system. Also, apples are high in pectin. This is a very useful substance, it removes all harmful substances from the body. Those children who eat apples every day never have a stomach ache.
Liza carried out this experiment with her mother at home. We bought apples in the store. They washed the houses well, cut them into pieces, put them on a baking sheet. Add 2 cups of water and squeeze some lemon juice. Then put in the oven for 2 hours. They took the apples out of the oven, they looked like mashed potatoes, strained everything through a clean white cloth and squeezed hard. The juice that was filtered was boiled a little more on a small fire, and it turned out to be jelly. This is pectin. Pectin is very useful. It is added when preparing jams, marmalade, marshmallows, marshmallows.
What do children and parents think about the benefits of apples? (sociological survey)
We were interested to know what the children from the preparatory groups and their parents think about the health benefits of apples. We asked the guys: do you like apples? Why are they useful?
Of the 40 children surveyed, almost all said they like apples because they are tasty and contain many vitamins. Only one girl does not like apples and never eats them. 23 answered that they eat apples every day, 10 – every other day and 7 children – very rarely. Nobody knew about pectin. Now we will tell everyone what a useful substance it is.
We asked parents: What kind of apples do you buy for your family – local or imported? How often do you eat apples? Do children need apples?
Of the 20 interviewed parents, half answered that they buy imported apples, and the second half that they buy both our local and imported ones. All parents believe that apples are healthy, but they do not eat them every day. We decided that we would make a special newspaper about apples so that all adults and children learn more about the benefits of apples.
But what about “rejuvenating” apples? It turns out that each person in the body has 3 apples: 2 – eye and epiphysis “third eye”. The pineal gland is a pineal gland located in the brain. Outwardly, it looks like a synapse apple or a cedar cone. The pineal gland secretes melatonin into the human body – the HORMONE OF YOUTH. The increase in the release of melatonin by the pineal gland in humans lasts up to 5 years, then gradually fades. Probably, this circumstance was the impetus for the creation of fairy tales about rejuvenating apples. Real apples and pine nuts activate the work of the pineal gland. Apples are also used in cosmetology in the production of creams and shampoos.
And of course the question arises – how to eat and store apples? Compotes, jams, jelly, jam are prepared from apples, but there are practically no vitamins left in such dishes, because. after heat treatment, they disappear. Apples are best eaten fresh or dried. Dried apples (children called them chips) can be replaced with sweets. The guys and I dried apples in a special dryer. We cut clean apples into circles and put them in the dryer. After two hours the chips were ready. We liked them very much. And tasty, and healthy, and vitamins are preserved because. drying temperature was low.
Conclusion.
While working on the research, we learned about the history of apples, how Russian people described the apple tree in fairy tales, and also that not all apples are equally useful.
We are convinced that the chosen topic is important. After all, if you want to be healthy, you need to eat right, eat the right foods. Children and adults should definitely eat 2-3 apples a day. This is especially important for children as they grow up. No wonder they say “Eat apples in the morning – you will not go to the doctors.”
Of all the varieties of apples sold in markets and stores, it is best to choose local varieties.

Alameda Research – the shadow hand of the market – Egyptian fruits on vc.ru
Foreword
10 487
views
Good day, the author of the channel Egyptian Fruit (TYK) welcomes you! Some of us get into the field of cryptocurrencies quite by accident: we heard something from a friend or from the news. Fingers tapped the cherished word “Bitcoin” on the keyboard. Soon they bought a certain amount of cryptocurrency, but literally a few days later they sold it at a significant loss.
The point is that there is an experienced player on the other side. Long-term practice of working with the trading terminal allows him to take money from ignorant beginners, and subsequently direct them to his own profit.
And who is this master of the market?
Today we will walk the path of becoming one of the most influential figures in the field of cryptocurrency together with Alameda Research.
Let’s start with the fact that Alameda Research is such an influential company that no one is indifferent to it. Someone loves Alameda for disturbing manipulations, and someone hates it. A very controversial reputation develops around everything that concerns Alameda Research and in particular Sam Bankman-Fried.
To understand the magnitude of the situation, Alameda manages a commensurate capital of 10% of the capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency sector. And now let’s imagine that all this power is not just moving around the markets at any given time, but is directed pointwise to the weak points of the market. With the precision of a sniper, the tools of a surgeon, like a professional chiropractor, they put tremendous pressure on a small area of the market, which often suddenly collapses under this weight.
Huge capital is in the hands of guys who not only masterfully possess all kinds of lending tools, broad technical analysis skills, but also know how to look ahead, far ahead. Who else would think of creating an exchange for their own needs when faced with the inconvenience and limitations of others? Yes, I’m talking about FTX.
You can hate them, you can love them, but it is simply impossible to pass them by.
In this article, we want to shed some light on the shroud of the mysterious and lightning fast Alameda Research. When you understand what can happen to the market and who is in charge of it all, it is much easier to make important decisions.
All of which means that any deal Alameda makes has the potential to move the markets, or even change them forever. The company is constantly accused of manipulating the markets. To some extent, Alameda was created for this purpose – to expose and reveal the vulnerabilities of the market, which in the long run has a positive effect, making the market stronger. Forest nurses.
The Founder believes that with great power comes great responsibility. With him, we will begin our acquaintance.
Origins
Now Sam-Bankman-Freed is the richest public person in the field of cryptocurrencies. This is the only person other than Mark Zuckerberg who got rich so quickly and colossally. Do you want to know how it all started?
Sam Bankman-Fried was born in 1992 to law professors at Stanford University. According to the recollections of relatives, Sam was sympathetic and friendly from childhood. Later, children’s dedication grew into altruism. After graduating from high school with honors, in 2010 he entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. All four years of study, Sam led the life of an ordinary student: he played League of Legends and tried not to fail his diploma. After all, defending the foreign ministry or defending an MIT diploma is a really difficult choice. But with all the love for games, the student did not forget about his studies and was able to successfully complete it. Now a graduate of a prestigious university had to decide on his future.
The young man was faced with a choice: to improve his degree or go on a free voyage?
Sam did not give up his dream of making the world a better place, but he needed a plan. Give away a small amount from your salary to donations? No, Sam wanted more – to provide real help! Consequently, it was necessary to direct deductions to the most utilitarian areas of human activity, so that every dollar would pay for itself.
But even so, money was needed for this. MUCH MONEY.
2017
Location:
New York. Stock market.
Target:
Raise Capital
Current Progress:
A six-figure stock market unit trader’s salary is far too low for such ambitious goals.
3 years of work at Jane Street Capital did not bring the desired result. After all, what are hundreds of thousands of dollars of annual salary when you want to change the whole world?
Remember the end of 2017 when bitcoin went from $2,500 to $20,000? Watching this growth, Sam saw a great opportunity to make money in the cryptocurrency market: buy bitcoin on the US exchange, and then sell it at a 30% markup on the Japanese exchange.
At the same time, the guy had difficulty understanding what blockchain and cryptocurrencies in general are. All that attracted him in this area was a good profit from transactions. For confident trading in the market and becoming a significant player, it was necessary to add only a few touches.
We need:
1. Team: several guys who just graduated from the university.
2. Headquarters: rented from Airbnb.
3. Budget: own savings, as well as borrowed funds from relatives and friends. In total – 1 million dollars.
4. Name: Alameda Research.
Trading Strategies Alameda Research
Already in 2018, Alameda was making transactions with a turnover of $25 million per day. How did they do it?
Let’s take a look at the main trading strategies.
Arbitration
We buy cheap on one exchange and sell on another. So simple that you can’t even believe it.
In 2021, Alameda made a fortune from the kimchi premium by buying bitcoin on the US exchange and subsequently selling it on the South Korean exchange.
Medium-term algorithmic strategies
Medium-term trading implies that between the purchase or sale of an asset, it takes from several days to a month. This time period is ideal for creating a panic in the market or going long, having received the necessary insider information in advance.
Alameda gained wide popularity largely due to medium-term speculation in the market. Here are some famous examples:
December 2021 liquidation cascade – Attentive Alameda calculates the ratio of longs to shorts in the market, and then hits right on target. It is difficult to imagine how much money they managed to make on this movement.
SOL Price Manipulation – Faith in the project and public dispute brings x77 to Sam and his team, as well as attentive viewers.
Waves of Fear – Learning to Long and Short with Alameda Research. The lightest x5 in a month, anyone could. Due to the depreciation of waves, there was an outflow from USDN, one could observe an increase in the “pressure on stablecoins” trend.
Stock up on popcorn and uncover the translator 😉
Marketmaking
The market maker manages the price movement and maintains liquidity to satisfy the demand, and also keeps prices approximately at the same level agreed with the exchange. Often it is the market maker who stands at the next level of support and resistance. Under certain agreements, the market maker may have access to the internal information of the exchange, where he can see not only the number of orders for sale or purchase, but also the position of your stop loss and take profit. Next, we will tell you how much access Alameda Research has to such information 🙂
Market neutral strategies
The idea of this trading strategy is to simultaneously open long and short positions on two different coins that have a strong correlation with each other. If the market suddenly and unexpectedly flies in either direction, then due to the correlation of these pairs, a large loss on the short will be covered by an equivalent profit on the long. Funds, team, high-precision software – Alameda had it all to get the most out of the strategy.
Now you know how Alameda Research trades. Next, we will look at how to make VERY BIG money out of big money.
Reference:
Long – opening a position in order to earn on price increase.
Short – opening a position in order to earn on a price decrease.
FTX
In 2018, it was decided to expand, as there was no exchange on the market with convenient functionality for professional traders. If you want to do something well, then do it yourself. Based on this principle, Sam registered a company called “FTX Trading LTD”. And already in 2019The FTX crypto derivatives exchange was launched.
For reference.
There are only two directions on crypto exchanges: The spot market is a market where you can instantly buy or sell cryptocurrencies.
Derivatives trading is the exchange of contracts that bind two parties (buyers and sellers) to sell or buy an asset at a specific date in the future.
It is important to note that Alameda wanted to make the exchange as comfortable as possible for itself, while attracting funding and large players to the platform. Most of the funds were in circulation, and it was impossible to stop scaling. It’s time for outside investment. August 2019The seed round raised $8 million from venture capital firms, with Race Capital contributing the most. In December, the keen eye of Binance noticed the considerable potential of its competitor and bought a whopping 15% stake in FTX for $70 million. In the future, Sam bought it back, but for $ 2.3 billion. In 2021, our favorite Sequoia Capital, Race Capital, and many others looked into the platform with investments.
prakha nezeder & sir sequoia
FTX has successfully entered the market and firmly established itself in the TOP-5 exchanges. In the process of expansion, FTX has taken over companies like Blockfolio, Ledger X, and promoted itself through NFL and NBA stars.
As we already know, FTX and Alameda Research were created by one person who prefers to trade crypto derivatives – Sam Bankman-Freed. So, it is logical that this has become the main focus on FTX. Such remarkable functionality appeared on the exchange, such as trading in tokenized shares of companies or tokens in the form of bets on the victory of one of the presidents. It is quite possible that FTX will come up with something that will allow them to overtake competitors in two ways and take first place in the ranking, because interest in crypto derivatives is growing every year, and the company has already proved itself to be an innovator.
In 2018, Alameda had a trading principle: “Don’t chase publicity, sometimes it only makes it worse.” But in 2019, when Sam launched FTX, he needed to build a community around her, so he went out and became her public face.
Present
Today, Alameda Research is no longer just traders in an Airbnb apartment, but a whole organization with a huge staff of employees. Every week they invest in promising funds, every few months their signature is traced in the downs and rises of the market, every year they capture more and more space for trading.
Alameda is currently run by two traders who Bankman-Fried started working with in 2017. They’ve proven they can do it on their own, with Sam developing FTX 98% of the time. New specialists are also joining the team: developers, traders, analysts and investors. FTX also does not stand still. New prediction tokens are popping up, stadiums are agreeing to change their name to FTX Arena, and what about your own esports team? TSM-FTX, sounds cool. Sam literally lives in the office of the company, and everything happens under his strict supervision.
Venture capital investment and market manipulation allow Alameda Research to make a lot of money. The FTX exchange serves as a platform for audience research and the development of new trading strategies. That is why in 2022 the flickering of these two organizations in the news and the community is growing exponentially. Faith in projects (as was the case with SOL), investor connections and billions of dollars is all it takes to discover and nurture future gems. We wanted to reveal the diversity of Alameda Research, describe their capabilities and provide the reader with food for thought. In just 4 years, they managed to grow from a small startup into a multi-billion dollar company. What is in store for them in the future? Perhaps the answer lies in one of the small startups that Alameda is funding.
Crypto or real shares? Why not combine? Emergent Fidelity Technologies, linked to FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Freed, has acquired a 7.6% stake in online broker Robinhood.
The Robinhood app has become popular amid the pandemic and the surge in interest in Dogecoin. Trading with the largest meme token in the second quarter of 2021 generated over 40% of the company’s revenue.
Transactions and investments Alameda Research
In this chapter, I would like to focus on Alameda’s activities as a fund, as well as their work as a market maker. Nothing tells the story of a company better than an analysis of its transactions.
Price manipulation
We all remember Elon Musk’s tweets after which the market starts to literally go crazy. In a word, he could raise the Dogecoin rate literally from the bottom, and in a couple of days bring down even lower than it was. This is just one way to manipulate the market, but this is also possible due to insiders or a properly built trading strategy. This is what will be discussed below.
Solana
Let’s start with $SOL, as this is one of the most famous examples: On January 7, Sam Bankman-Feed made a statement that the price of SOL would not fall below $2.05, and he bets 100 thousand dollars on it 1 to 1 What allowed Sam to make such a self-confident statement? On March 26, 2020, Solana raises $1.7 million in an ICO. Alameda is not listed, but in the next investment round from 9June 2021 they are doing well as lead investors. Assumption: through certain channels, Alameda was able to gain access to ongoing developments on Solana and saw the potential of an “Ethereum killer” in the technology, and after $SOL entered the exchange, it began to increase positions in the range of 1. 5-2.5. Sam’s statement creates a breakout of the 2.5 level, and on January 11 and 26 it buys back at a price of 2.6. statements.
Reef
Reef pledged to provide Alameda with 80 million in their token at a 20% discount. After the first 20 million went into the Alameda account, Reef went to the press and talked about a successful deal with such a market giant. But then a strange chain of events occurs: 1. Alameda transfers all tokens to Binance.2. Reef accuses them of selling tokens and manipulating the price.3. Alameda, for its part, denies all allegations and withdraws from a follow-up deal for 60 million.4. Reef token drops by 30%.
There are two theories: 1. Alameda planned to manipulate Reef’s price to their advantage, but their plan was thwarted. Perhaps they managed to capitalize on the fall of the token due to the failure of the transaction.
2. Reef declassified the deal with Alameda in the public space and thereby violated the terms of the contract, which is why Alameda decided to get rid of the company’s tokens while the price of hype is flying up.
The situations with SOL, REEF, and many others remain shrouded in mystery to this day, giving Alameda a bad reputation in some circles. But one thing remains unchanged – these guys always turn the situation in their favor.
Venture investments
If you still do not know what venture investments are and how profitable they can be, then run to read an article about Sequoia Capital. We will wait for you here;)
Serum
Alameda Research is investing heavily in projects built on Solana.
Benefits of the Serum decentralized exchange:
– Serum allows different applications and participants to share middleware in one place. The Serum architecture is great for modularity. Programs using Serum will be more flexible while retaining some standard design principles and layout capabilities.
– The DEX is built on an order book that is independent of the liquidity of its own assets and provides the ecosystem with a greater source of pooled liquidity and shared resources for trading functions.
– Solana allows you to trade and settle in less than a second, in addition to ultra-low transaction costs of $0.00001 per transaction.
– The $SRM token allows you to reduce platform fees.
Such an interesting project has been sponsored by Alameda for more than a year. It is very useful to have a Solana partner in the DEX. I have no doubt that they use this service on a regular basis.
Delta one
April 19, 2022 Alameda closed the next seed round as an investor. Let’s see what kind of project it is and whether it deserves attention?
Solana Automated Farm provides RAY-USDC, SOL-USDC and other pairs for farming. The main feature is the emphasis on market-neutral strategies. Farmers can withdraw their assets at any time, and losses are covered by selling assets at an average price. The result is a farm based on hedging principles, with a fairly good APY and minimal risk of losing your funds. For example: If SOL falls by 20-30% from its original price, then this will only have a 1-2% impact on Delta’s investment value.
With specialists like Alameda as partners, Delta one can rely on help in resolving disputes in the market, as well as providing its services for farming. Alameda does what it always does – invests in small startups, which it subsequently uses for its own purposes. The more successful Delta one is, the more Alameda will pour money into it, as it did with Solana.

We spent five man-hours a day standing in bank branches for a good five months because that’s what it took to send bank transfers. If we got there at 10 a.m., we stayed there until 1 p.m. with a bunch of people in order to have time to have all the meetings and so on every week, every fucking day, to complete the bank transfer that we sent yesterday.
And this is one of the reasons why Sam is so passionate about DeFi. His vision is to one day change the current financial system forever.
What about the money? Now Alameda has no problems with money.
Tether ($USDT) became the first cryptocurrency to achieve stablecoin status. This is a category of digital assets, the value of which is tied to the exchange rate of fiat money.
Now to the point. We found an interesting investigation that took months to understand who is the main manipulator in the cryptocurrency market. And now we will do the main squeeze for you: (full article)
Tether was worth $1 billion and Bitcoin was worth $20,000 in 2017. Now Tether has a capitalization of $75,858,970,769, while the maximum price of Bitcoin reached $69,000.
The question of who exactly buys Tether directly from its parent company Bitfinex has remained unanswered since its inception back in 2014. In 2021, the mystery was solved and two large companies, Alameda Research and Cumberland Global, were spun off. It is they who are responsible for the infiltration of two-thirds of all Tether into the crypto ecosystem.
Market makers Alameda Research and Cumberland Global are still the biggest players in the Tether markets. Together, Alameda and Cumberland received at least $60.3 billion, about 55% of all outgoing volume – ever. In 2021 alone, $49.2 billion (71%) of Alameda and Cumberland USDT was purchased, which is about 60% of all Tether issued during this time.
Strong? Strongly!
If you control any stablecoin, you control the market.
This is why Alameda can cascade liquidations of any asset, since the majority uses USDT. BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, SOL/USDT, you must have traded at least once in these pairs, which means that 33% of the stables in your wallet were bought directly from Sam. After the collapse of the LUNA coin and the UST stablecoin, the market wanted to test the strength of USDT, completely forgetting that Alameda Research and other major players are behind this stablecoin. Large funds will always protect their interests and fight off attacks on assets to the last, but still: do not forget about risk diversification, do not keep all your money in one coin.
For a snack. ..
Somehow the Alameda guys donated Joe Biden to the campaign, I wonder what will happen next?
In December 2021, digital assets were discussed in the USA. The meeting of the House of Representatives was attended by the heads of companies such as Circle, FTX, Bitfury, Paxos and the Stellar Development Foundation, and a discussion was held on the topic “Digital Assets and the Future of Finance: Understanding the Challenges and Benefits of Financial Innovation.” Among all the participants was the CEO of the FTX crypto exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried.
In other words, the interests of Alameda and FTX have become wider than the sphere of cryptocurrencies and have acquired a stronger influence from the outside. They are directly involved in the formation of legislation around this market.
Conclusion
The influence of Alameda Research on the crypto market cannot be overestimated. We see a clear expansion in all directions, starting with trading and arbitrage, a company that started with one person has grown to unprecedented heights: they are gradually increasing their own presence in the traditional world of finance, renaming sports arenas and eSports teams.
