Ruslan Gabidullin – voice of the studio “Cube in Cuba”
Ruslan Gabidullin – started as an actor in the National Youth Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Ufa. Later he moved to St. Petersburg, where he began to advance in a new field as an announcer and radio host. In 2008, Ruslan and his wife Olga worked at the radio, where they were fired for “immoral behavior.” There was some equipment at home and the couple decided to start working in this direction. Ruslan voiced some “Oscar-winning” short film and posted it online. After that, orders and proposals for voice acting and dubbing began to arrive.
According to Ruslan’s own recollections, one of the first he came across was some series with a completely terrible, meaningless translation. The heroine uttered the phrase “Cube in the cube” – and this “trick” became the name of them and their wife of the recording studio. For several years they dubbed serials and films at the “Stakhanovite pace”, practically without leaving their studio-room. Cube fans marvel at how two actors can voice all roles in a film, switching voices and jumping from character to character in an instant. Many are attracted precisely by the hooligan manner of voicing, the use of “strong words” that are so characteristic of the everyday speech of an ordinary person.
Ruslan Gabidullin – voice acting and dubbing
Fans of Ruslan and Olga, looking for films with voice acting from “Cube” on the Internet, leave more than 300 thousand queries in Yandex every month and the same number in Google. The army of subscribers in social networks is growing inexorably, many choose TV shows to watch only if they have voice acting from the Cube in Cube studio.
Gabidullin has more than 180 dubbed series, more than fifty films and cartoons. Among his favorite works, Ruslan himself calls the TV series “Misfits”, “South Park”, “Mr. Robot”, “Black Mirror”, “Breaking Bad”, “The Vampire Diaries”, the films “American Ultra”, “Deadpool” and many others.
In November 2021, Ruslan Gabidullin and Olga Kravtsova took part in the Evening Urgant show.

You can order a recording of Ruslan Gabidullin’s voice in the Audio-Production.ru studio. We voice audio clips, video ads. Just recently we finished work on a humorous video of the Dolphin drug. The actor fully played all the roles. This video is already broadcast on all federal channels of Russia. Voice acting with the participation of such a famous voice is a guarantee that the video will work, bring the desired result. Contact us and together we will create a product of the highest quality.

Montessori Philosophy
To aid life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself, that is the basic task of the educator. (Maria Montessori)
The Montessori program provides an interdisciplinary, discovery-based approach to learning. The program is based on a philosophy of learning that grows from the belief that children are natural learners, and that learning occurs best in a nurturing, prepared environment that promotes spontaneous cooperative inquiry.
The teaching method that grew from this philosophy fosters a sense of security, self confidence and independence in children, enabling them to develop into people who respect and care for themselves, others, the environment and all life.
Montessori teachers address physical, emotional, social, spiritual, aesthetic, and cognitive needs as they guide their students to develop inner discipline, coordination, concentration, a sense of order, and independence.
A multi-age grouping in each classroom provides a family-like setting where learning can take place naturally and cooperatively
The Montessori classroom is a working community of children and adults with constant problem solving, child-to-child teaching, and socialization.
The Montessori method is based on scientific observation. Much of student assessment is through teacher observations.
The Montessori method refers to the interaction of children, Montessori teaching materials, and Montessori teachers.
The Montessori philosophy values all kinds of intelligences and styles of learning. Subjects are interwoven, not taught in isolation, and children are free to work and develop at their own pace with materials they have chosen, either alone or with others.
Children in a Montessori environment are able to learn in many different ways: individual lessons with the teacher, small group lessons with the teacher, large group lessons with the teacher, a lesson from another child and most importantly from being able to observe other children of various ages working.
The aim of the method is to assist children in developing habits of concentration, initiative, persistence, and joy in learning so that they can reach full potential in all areas of life and become life-long learners.
The guiding principle is freedom within limits.

Toilet Training Guidelines for Primary Montessori
Q. What does it mean to be “toilet trained”?
A. Acceptance into Primary Montessori is for children who are toilet trained. The Office of Early Childhood understands that being toilet trained is a developmental skill that children reach at different ages.
Primary Montessori does not provide the staffing nor has the facilities to provide toilet training for children unless your child has an Individualized Education Plan, a Section 504 Plan or a Medical Care Plan that indicates specific accommodations for toileting.
A toilet trained child:
Wears underwear during the day at school and at home
Indicates the need to use the bathroom
Uses the bathroom independently
Can remove most clothes and put clothes back on as necessary.
Toileting accidents are expected as a rare occurrence. A child is not yet considered toilet trained for APS preschool programs if the child has 8 or more toileting accidents the first month of school. Staff will determine whether a child is toilet trained based on the following criteria:
Is aware of the need to use the toilet
Is able to independently remove clothing in advance of using the toilet

Family Child Care – FCC :: Ft. Knox :: US Army MWR
The Family Child Care (FCC) program is an integral part of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) child care system available on Army garrisons. FCC provides quality home based care for children 4 weeks to 12 years old and is offered in government owned and government leased housing located on post.
FCC has unique qualities that make it a preferred choice for many families. It offers flexible hours: full day, part day, extended /overnight, weekend and hourly care in a comfortable home setting. FCC also offers a 15% cost savings compared to Child Development Centers and School Age Care fees
FCC Providers are vetted and only the best qualified candidates are recommended for certification. Providers must complete background checks and regular home inspections as a part of certification. They also receive paid ongoing training for professional development.
Army policy requires that anyone providing care on a regular basis for more than 10 hours per week, must be certified through Child and Youth Services as a FCC provider.
Providing unauthorized child care in government owned/leased housing puts you at risk of losing your housing privileges. Unauthorized child care by an uncertified person puts your child at risk.
For more information on how to register your children in the FCC Program visit MCC.COM MilitaryChildCare.com

How can I become a certified FCC provider?
To become a certified FCC provider, you must complete a local background check; agree to have inspections conducted by the Fire, Safety and Preventive Medicine Offices; as well as attend a minimum of 38 hours of training. The training includes child abuse identification and prevention, first aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.
1. Complete FCC Application (DA Form 5219). Submit application to the local FCC office for processing.
2. Family Interview-conducted in the home of the applicant. All family members should be present for the interview.
3. Background checks-Investigations are completed on the applicant, military sponsor, and children or any bono fide resident in the home 12 years of age and older.
4. Orientation Training- Minimum one week.
5. Home Inspections- Fire, Safety, Health and Sanitation proponents.
6. Provisional Certification! Open for Business!
It’s Ok to Be Neighborly
An explanation of the Family Child Care ten hour rule
1. At Child and Youth Services, we provide safe child care for military Families – at Child Development Centers, and in Family Child Care (FCC) settings, where certified providers offer child care in their on-post homes.
2. The Army has a responsibility to balance the ability of families to rely on one another to meet their short term child care needs with protecting the safety and well-being of children.
3. It is not — and never has been — the intent of CYS to eliminate such “good neighbor” favors.
4. There is a difference between caring for children a few hours a week and providing child care services on a regular basis.
Know the Rules
A 10-hour child care limit has been established by the Department of the Army to protect children from being in unregulated child care settings on a regular basis.
This means any Family member living in government quarters providing child care for more than 10 child care hours per week on a regular basis must be certified as a Family Child Care provider.
“10 Child Care Hours means 1 child for 10 hours per week, 2 children for 5 hours per week, etc.”
“Regular Basis” means routinely, for an extended period of time.
SO …
If you care for your neighbor’s child all day, 5 days per week for 9 hours per day, that is a total of 45 child care hours. You must be a certified FCC provider.
OR …
If you care for 6 different children per day, 5 days per week, even if it’s only an hour per day each, that is STILL a total of 30 child care hours. You must be a certified FCC provider.
It pays to be a certified FCC provider! Certified FCC providers receive FREE training & support, FREE referrals, FREE materials & equipment AND qualify for child care subsidies!
Become a certified FCC provider today!

Already an FCC Provider?
Transferring your FCC business from one post to another is a snap!
Don’t stress over a PCS move! A few steps can get you set up as an FCC provider at your next duty station.
Here’s what to do:
First, make sure your future garrison has an active FCC program. If it does, you may be able to transfer your business.
Submit an FCC Transfer Request to the losing garrison’s FCC director/administrator, who will review and send it on to HQ, IMCOM G9 CYS.
Receive initial email or phone contact from the gaining garrison’s FCC director/administrator less than 30 days after they receive your inbound transfer.
Continue to stay in touch until you arrive and are set up as an FCC provider.
Meanwhile, your gaining garrison’s FCC director/administrator submits a transfer work order ticket to the supporting CDE office. A background check administrator also coordinates with the losing garrison for your file, determines whether re-verification is needed, and issues an updated Background Verification Checklist to the gaining installation.
We want to make the transfer process as easy as possible for you. Because of that, we’re implementing this guidance across all IMCOM garrisons and spreading the news to all current and newly on-boarded FCC providers.
Announcing new bonuses for FCC Providers!
Starting 1 June 2020, we’re offering two new bonuses to qualified FCC providers:
Relocation Bonus: Up to a $1000 relocation bonus will be provided to FCC Providers who successfully relocate their home business to a gaining installation. Providers will receive payments over a twelve month period. Payments will begin upon home certification and enrollment of at least two children who are unrelated to the provider. Payments will be disbursed monthly with an initial payment of $120 and $80 thereafter (for the next eleven months). If the home closes or certification is lost during this time, all remaining payments will be forfeited.
Recruitment Bonus: Up to a $1000 recruitment bonus will be provided to FCC Providers who successfully open their homes. This is a one-time incentive.

Very good
Pros:
I drive in the center, so the location is perfect for me. Sovetsky is a fairly calm and developed area. There is everything I need next to the residential complex + there will be more shops on the territory.
Cons:
Waiting for construction, at the moment this is the only negative.

Pros:
The project is interesting, closed green area, safe. The view from the windows will also be good, I think.
Minuses:
The finish is pre-finishing, you will have to spend money on repairs normally, but what can you do.

In the world of fairy tales and toys Man can do everything. Can fly like a swallow, Can become a hero,
But a child, but a child He will never become. After all, a child is the joy of the first word. Can an adult learn to speak again?
Children cannot live without adventures. They cannot, even if they have never read fairy tales. They always have good and affectionate dreams. Children are restless legs. Carefree thoughts. Children are always looking for adventure. After all, you can’t live without them.
Children are…
Author: Polyukhova Natasha
Children are amazing creatures. Their smile warms my heart. More joyful from laughter. Everyone has their own opinion about children. Many think one thing, and many think another. We know that we were children and will remain so.
Children are happiness in the house. From children in the house is very good!
Author: Lekomtseva Masha
Children are cheerful and mischievous eyes.
Children are constant chores. From birth, they need to be helped to explore the world, to study, to do their homework. But when they grow up, they begin to help adults. And they do almost everything themselves.
Who are children? I can not tell.
Author: Poplauhin Taras
Children are cheerful and mischievous eyes. Children are the rays of the sun in the blue sky. They grow so fast that you won’t even have time to blink an eye, but they have already grown.
This is a holiday every day, new discoveries and victories. Children are the world of pictures and rainbow drawings. Children, as if flowers in a clearing bloom and learn new things.
Children are green leaves on a spring tree, young and cheerful.
Every child has a dream. They want to make it happen. And almost all dreams come true.
Author: Yermishina Alena
Children are the joy of a sunny day. This is the sun in the sky. Children are flocks of birds. These are white daisies. Children are sunbeams. And not only sunbeams, but also squirrels, and maybe chanterelles. Maybe kittens. Maybe mice.
As soon as the children are not named. How many tender words are given to them by their parents, grandparents. How much kindness, care and affection.
What do adults call you guys?
Author: Shmykova Katya
Children are scattered toys. The world of unusual, interesting. Many incredible stories with happy endings happen to children. Eternal pastime on the street. Children are the love of games.
Children are like steps: the first step is a baby is born and knows nothing about this world. The second step – now the baby is already sitting, laughing, playing with toys. The third stage – the baby walks, learns the world further and loves to play very much. The fourth stage – he already says different words and invents new ones. The fifth step – the baby went with his mother to kindergarten. The sixth step – children still play different games and do not know that they will soon go to school, but they do not need to know this.
Author: Tolmachev Dima
Children are like little gnomes. They run back and forth, you can’t stop them, and they always ask: What? How? For what? Why? Children are like a fantasy, they are always difficult to understand. First they want one thing, and a minute later another. Children are very fond of playing, and all the time, when adults are busy, they pull them and ask:
– Let’s play hide and seek or housekeeping. And let me be a doctor, and you are sick.
If you don’t play with them, they will roar, and it will not be of any use to work next to the roar. Children are fun. And may it always be.
Author: Sahakyan Roman
«… Children are the tender riddles of the world. And the answer lies in the riddles themselves.
This is what Maria Tsvetaeva said in her poem “Mirok”. Today I want to express my opinion to you. Who are children?
In adults, they are always smiling, always cheerful, fragile… and who are fragile – I don’t know (I wasn’t an adult). I know that they are wrong (checked on my own experience).
We, children, have our own views on life, our own character, our own emotions, whims and desires. We really are riddles.
Also, children are games, counting rhymes, funny songs , and much more. But these are all trifles.
Perhaps the most important, most necessary thing in the life of children is dreams . Dreams of sky-high flights and fabulous travels. I know all this from my own experience. After all, I’m still a child.
Inspired by the desire to tell adults who WE are.
Author: Solovyov Alyosha
Children are the tender mysteries of the world. They need to be pitied, caressed, treated tenderly. Children are a great treasure. They are very fragile. Some children really want to be adults, but they do not understand that adults are very uninteresting all the time. You can’t lie down under a cozy, warm blanket for a longer time – you have to run to work, you can’t indulge.
And then adults think: “How I wish I were a little child.” Many things are forbidden for adults. I made a conclusion for myself in childhood: that I would never become an adult, but over time I realized that I would still be an adult someday. But maybe this is good?
Author: Anya Smirnova Tel. Children from kindergarten – for schoolchildren, schoolchildren – for working people. This is where the games “to school”, “to the hospital”, “to the astronaut”, etc. come from.
Children love to be noticed. In any sense – for a good study, for pranks, for sadness.
Children love to fantasize (I am no exception). On various topics: “who will I be”, “do animals talk”, “and what would happen if they talked”, etc.
I don’t think anyone would answer you with sovereignty if you asked “Who are children?”.
Children are a whole complex world.
Author: Polovova Liza
Children are a small sun in the family, which warms the souls of parents. Parents go through their childhood together with their children. And it is not for nothing that they say that adults live two childhoods. Children are always kind, affectionate and sweet when they are small, but no one knows what awaits them in the future. Their parents want them to take only good qualities from them. But they cannot always educate them correctly.

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
KinderCare at Natoma Station Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)
Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that
comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small
class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun. The basic building
blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we
make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
Interactive Kindergarten (5–6 Years)
Kindergarten is a critical year for young learners. Experienced KinderCare teachers will
tap into your child’s natural curiosity to help get them even more prepared for
elementary school. Our engaging lessons make the most of current technology while
offering plenty of hands-on play and exploration.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Math Adventures
The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics
concepts like geometry, numbers, currency, measurements, and probability. Whether
they’re couting currency or weighing their favorite toy, your child will explore math
fundamentals that’ll give them a confident start for elementary school.
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.
Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience

Family Stories
Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
My daughter has been attending KinderCare in Folsom for over two years. My husband and I are so pleased with the level of education and care she receives. In fact we love it so much, we are willing to commute each and everyday; we live 30 minutes away and work an hour away. In fact, I work right next to another preschool. People always ask me why we drive so far. My response is always, “We love the teachers and staff and know that she is getting the best possible education.” Thank you for making us feel like family!
Melanie and Sean B – KinderCare Parent
Returning back to work after five months of maternity leave was the hardest thing I have had to do as a parent, but due to the wonderful staff and teachers at KinderCare, I can leave for work feeling confident my child is loved, learning, and having a great time. Not only is she receiving great care in the Infant classroom, but I have especially enjoyed the crafts and art projects sent home with her. There truly is no other place I’d rather send my child while I’m away and KinderCare now feels like part of our family.
Cindy M. – KinderCare Parent
My kids love the Parents’ Night Out, especially Mariah my 6 year old! She loves to interact with the other children and the activities that take place on Parents’ night. She always has nice things to say about her teacher and wants to come in P.J’s all the time! This is a great opportunity for parents to have a little me time. Since we give so much to our children this is very needed to everyone. The staff at KinderCare at Natoma Station is very sweet and care for my children. I am glad to have them enrolled there on a regular basis. Thanks!
Joni M.
– KinderCare Parent
As a new mom it was nerve-racking to leave my baby in the hands of someone else, but KinderCare met my tough criteria and we have had a positive relationship ever since. When I see things my daughter is exposed to on a daily basis (language, social skills, art, etc.), I know I am giving her a great foundation for her future success. Even if I didn’t need regular daycare, I would still want KinderCare to be a part of her week. I think that says a lot.

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!
KinderCare has been a partner in raising our child for over a year and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to bring our baby here when he was 6 months old. The teachers and staff made us feel at ease with plenty of information about the local center, the corporate company standards and detailed communications about our baby’s daily activities. Finding a daycare that feels like an extension of the nurturing home environment while maintaining the highest quality standards in cleanliness and child development is not easy. Finding a place where you get all of that plus you feel your child is happy, learning, growing, and loved is what we’ve found with KinderCare.
Amira – KinderCare Parent
I would not take my child anywhere else. My son is only 11 months old but has been doing curriculum in his infant classroom since he was 7 months old when he started. Not only is my child well cared for and loved, he comes home happy and full of new experiences. He gets so excited in the morning when I bring him into class. The environment is warm and welcoming and if I ever have questions or concerned they are answered immediately. He is challenged appropriately physically and intellectually. There is no better center than this one, it is home away from home!
Tara R. – KinderCare Parent
I just wanted to share my sincere gratitude for the team at the Lexington Hills KinderCare located in Folsom, CA. My son who has been to 6 different private schools and daycares and Lexington really stands out above the rest on multiple levels. The staff is very inclusive and supportive of my son’s special needs. They are also going above and beyond to help families through this pandemic which is very challenging. As I parent, I find that the staff is an absolute pleasure to communicate with. The best part of all is my son loves going to KinderCare. He has even declined offers for donuts on the way to school because he couldn’t get to school fast enough. Thanks so much to the KinderCare Team.

Do kids need daylight? Studies confirm that kids benefit when they are exposed to outdoor levels of illumination — levels that far exceed the lighting of a typical classroom.
Bright light boosts mood and concentration. It may help prevent disease, circadian rhythm disorders, and nearsightedness. And new research suggests that bright light has a crucial impact on the brain: It may foster the formation of new synapses, and enhance our ability to learn.
Let’s start with a basic observation. It’s very bright outside, even when you compare a brightly lit classroom to a relatively dark, overcast day outdoors.
Measured in units called “lux,” a typical, cloudless day may exceed 100,000 lux. A cloudy day may still be as bright as 10,000 to 40,000 lux, and even a rather gloomy, overcast day in Seattle is likely to reach 1,000 lux.
By contrast, the lighting we encounter indoors is much dimmer, ranging from about 50 lux (watching TV in the living room) to 500 lux (a brightly lit classroom).
So we encounter radically different lighting conditions when we spend our lives indoors, and that’s worrying. The bright light levels found outside aren’t just beneficial to photosynthesizing plants. They are also crucial for human beings. And this is true for children as well as adults. Consider these benefits.
Bright light improves mood.
You’ve probably noticed that bright light has a cheering effect. It improves mood (Leichtfried et al 2015; Gabel et al 2013; Te Kulve et al 2017), and studies show that bright light therapy is an effective treatment for depression (Maruani and Geoffroy 2019).
Daily exposure to very bright light (e.g., 15,000 lux or higher) might protect kids from developing nearsightedness.
As I note elsewhere, research has found that outdoor play lowers a child’s risk of developing nearsightedness. Researchers haven’t yet pinned down the reason, but experimental studies point to the effects of light. Animals raised under controlled lighting conditions are less likely to develop nearsightedness if they are exposed to daytime light levels exceeding 15,000 lux (Norton 2017).
Sunlight helps children produce adequate levels of vitamin D, and vitamin D sufficiency protects kids from a variety of undesirable health outcomes.
Kids with low vitamin D levels are at increased risk for poor bone health (Borg et al 2018), cardiovascular disease (El-Fakhri et al 2014), and reduced muscle function (Carson et al 2015; Hazel et al 2012). There is also evidence that low vitamin D status could be a trigger for early puberty in girls (Chew and Harris 2013). And vitamin D deficiency has been linked with inferior mental planning skills (Grung et al 2017).
Sunlight appears to protect children from developing multiple sclerosis (MS) later in life.
Numerous studies have reported this link. Lots of sunlight exposure during childhood reduces an individual’s risk of MS, and this appears to be true regardless of an individual’s vitamin D status. The sunlight itself seems to be helpful (Hoel et al 2016).
Staying up late might not matter if you also wake up late. But when children have to wake up early for school, delayed bedtimes can take a toll. Studies suggest that delayed bedtimes — without opportunities for catch-up sleep — are linked with poor school performance and behavior problems (Merikanto et al 2014; Lin et al 2011).
But why don’t kids go to sleep on time? For many kids, part of the problem is lighting: They get too little sunlight during the day, and too much artificial lighting at night. As a result, their “inner clocks” get out of sync with the natural, 24-hour day. Their circadian rhythms are out of whack.
The cure? As I explain in another article, it’s important to avoid artificial lighting at night, and stop using electronic devices an hour before bedtime. But researchers have shown that kids need daylight, too: A dose of bright morning light can help kids with chronic bedtime problems get back on track (van Mannen et al 2017).
And what about mental performance? Does bright daylight make kids smarter?
We’ve already noted that vitamin D levels have been linked with mental planning skills, and late bedtimes can contribute to attention problems. So exposure to bright light might boost mental performance by these indirect routes.
We’ve also seen that bright light enhances mood, which could be an important motivator at school. In a study of more than two hundred 10-year-olds, researchers found that kids preferred classrooms that were very brightly lit (1,300 to 4,400 lux) to classrooms that were lit at much lower, more traditional levels (250-740 lux).
But it’s likely that bright light has additional benefits. For example, there is evidence that children read more fluently in classrooms that are very brightly-lit (Mott et al 2011; Mott et al 2014). Kids may perform better on mathematics tests, too (Choi and Suk 2016). And recent experiments on animals suggest an additional possibility:
Maybe bright light has a direct effect on our ability to learn. Take that bright light away — keep us indoors, in dimly-lit rooms — and we might suffer learning deficits.
The experiments were performed on Nile grass rats, a species that sleeps at night and remains active during the day, just as humans do. From the beginning of the study, a group of 24 male rats were kept on strict schedules of 12 hours of constant lighting followed by 12 hours of darkness. But individual rats experienced differences in light intensity (Soler et al 2018).
Some rats were randomly assigned to experience daytime light levels of 1,000 lux (similar to that of a rather dark, overcast day).
Other rats were randomly assigned to experience daytime light levels of just 50 lux (similar to the lighting typical of many people’s living rooms).
The rats stayed on their schedules for 4 weeks, at which point they were introduced to a problem-solving challenge called the Morris Water Maze.
During this challenge, each rat was placed in a pool of water. The water was made opaque by nontoxic, white paint, which concealed the existence of a resting platform just under the water’s surface.
Rats had to swim until they discovered the resting platform — something they were highly motivated to find.
But once they did, they had the opportunity to commit the location to memory. That’s because the researchers had provided rats with a kind of landmark — a distinctive geometric shape placed on the inside of the pool’s wall. If a rat remembered the landmark, it would be able to quickly find the platform the next time it was placed in the pool.
The question was: How readily would rats learn?
All of the rats had the same opportunities. They were placed in the pool twice each day for 5 days running. And all of the rats showed signs of learning — they made their way to the hidden platform more quickly as the days went by.
But during each morning session, the rats housed under dim light “living room” conditions performed worse than the “bright light” rats — as if they had forgotten more overnight.
And when the researchers gave the rats a longer break — 24 hours between challenges — the dim light “living room” rats showed a pronounced learning deficit.
Whereas the “bright light” rats had no trouble zeroing in on the location of the platform, the rats living with dim light schedules floundered. They were no more likely to swim in the correct location than you would expect by chance.
The results weren’t caused by differences in lighting during swim sessions, because all rats experienced the same lighting conditions (about 300 lux) when they were in the Morris Water Maze.
Interestingly, the behavior outcomes were also accompanied by visible differences in brain tissue.
When researchers looked in the hippocampus (a part of the brain associated with spatial learning), they found that the “dim light” rats had lower levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, or BDNF — the substance that promotes the growth of new brain cells.
In addition, neurons in the hippocampus were physically different. The neurons of the “bright light” rats had more spines on their dendrites — evidence that these neurons had grown stronger synapses, a hallmark of learning.
Finally, the researchers found they could change the brains of “dim light” rats by transferring them to the bright light condition. After four weeks, they too experienced increased BDNF and grew more dendritic spines (Soler et al 2018).
What should we make of this?
Are the results caused by a methodological flaw, or a statistical fluke?
We need more research to know for sure, but so far, the evidence is promising. The same researchers repeated their experiments on a group of female Nile grass rats, and, once again, they found evidence of serious learning impairments.
The females didn’t show the same reductions in BDNF that had been observed in the male rats, but they experienced the same reductions in synaptic growth, and their learning impairments (in the dim light condition) were even more severe (Soler et al 2019). In Nile grass rats, at least, there really does seem to be something going on.
Are the results applicable to humans?
We can’t assume that humans would experience similar learning problems. But our basic physiology has a lot in common with these animals, so I think it would be foolish to assume the research is irrelevant. And given all the other good reasons we have to expose our children to plentiful daylight, we have nothing to lose by making an extra effort to ensure that every child gets his or her time in the sun.
Yes, we need to take precautions against harmful UVB rays. Sunscreen and hats are important protections when sunlight is intense. But we shouldn’t regard sunlight as a troublesome health threat on the one hand, or a luxurious perk on the other. Kids need daylight for their health and well-being.

Kids need daylight, but it isn’t just the light that’s good. Research suggests that being outdoors — in nature — is intrinsically beneficial. More more information, see this article. In addition, read more about BDNF and the cognitive effects of exercise.

An image of the Sun and of its radiation.
Sunlight is the light and energy that comes from the Sun. When this energy reaches the earth’s surface, it is called insolation. What we experience as sunlight is actually solar radiation. It is the radiation and heat from the Sun in the form of electromagnetic waves.
The atmosphere affects the amount of solar radiation received. When solar radiation travels through the atmosphere, some of it is absorbed by the atmosphere (16%). Some of it is scattered to space (6%). Some of it is reflected by clouds (28%). About 47% of it reaches the Earth’s surface.
Without sunlight, there could not be life on the Earth. Plants need sunlight for the process of photosynthesis. During photosynthesis the plants use the energy of the sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide, to create glucose (sugar). The glucose can later be used by the plant for energy or animals eat the plant and the glucose in it. Plants need sunlight to grow green. Without enough sunlight but with enough water, the plant grows very tall very quickly, but looks yellow and dehydrated, although when touched, the leaves are very moist.
Solar radiation can be both good and bad for a person’s health. When in the light, the human body uses the ultraviolet part of sunlight to make its own Vitamin D. Without sunscreen too much ultraviolet light can cause sunburn and skin cancer. Sun angle makes difference in seasons on Earth as well as in the length of day and night. A high angle makes the tropics hot, and a low angle makes the arctic cold.

Use of solar energy
Solar energy is used in many different ways by people all over the world both in its traditional way for heating, cooking or drying and to make electricity where other power supplies are absent, such as in remote places on Earth or in the space. Sometimes, it is cheaper to make electricity from sunlight than from coal or oil.

Four children were found alive in the jungles of Colombia after the plane crashed about 40 days ago, President Gustavo Petro said on his Twitter.
“Joy for the whole country! Four children who disappeared 40 days ago in the Colombian jungle turned out to be alive, ”Petro wrote.
He also posted a photo of the children and the soldiers who found them. All four children are brothers to each other, the youngest is one year old, the rest are four, nine and 13 years old, specifies El Pais.

On May 1, the children, along with three adults, including their mother, flew on a Cessna 206 from the Brazilian city of Araraquara (São Paulo state) to the Colombian city of São José del Guaviare (Guaviare department). In Colombia, the children were supposed to meet their father, who had to flee Araraquara because of threats.
During the flight, the aircraft engine failed, the pilot managed to warn the controllers about this before the plane crashed in the jungle near the Apaporis River. Some time later, the wrecked plane was found, inside it were three dead adults, but there were no children.
Petro ordered to organize a group to search for children with the involvement of the military and local residents. As a result, the children were found more than a month later, they were dehydrated and suffered from insect bites. They are being treated in San José del Guaviare and then transferred to Bogotá or Villavicencio.

The regional database of children left without parental care, Vladimir region, has been updated: a profile of 1 new child has been added to the bank. This child needs loving and caring parents!
We are a team of like-minded people united by the conviction that every child should live in a family, and he should feel good in this family. Any, even the best, fully equipped orphanage, with caring staff, can only be a temporary shelter while looking for parents, and the shorter the time spent in it, the easier it will be to adapt to a new family. Therefore, it is important for us to help blood parents who are in a difficult life situation to take care of their children, and if the child is already in an institution for any reason, to make his stay there as psychologically comfortable as possible and prevent the consequences of deprivation. In addition, we know what difficulties sometimes adoptive parents face, how difficult it is with psychologically traumatized children, and we are always ready to support them.

Our family expresses its deep gratitude to the “Children are waiting” foundation! We have long been going to the decision to accept a foster child into the family.
