    • 5 ideas for entertaining a child outside the home

Having a baby is both a blessing and a lot of trouble. As the child grows older, the question of his involvement in the gaming or developmental process becomes more and more difficult. That is why parents are increasingly interested in what activities are available for children aged 5 to 8 years, studying information on the Internet. We have prepared a brief digression into the world of entertainment for your child with valuable recommendations and examples.

Classes for children 5-6 years old

At the age of 5-6 years, children are very energetic and inquisitive. This is a golden time when kids are happy to comprehend everything new. At the same time, exploring the world and its possibilities together with parents is perhaps the most favorite thing. It is quite easy to take a child of 5-6 years old at home, while there is a huge variety of entertainment for both the boy and the girl. While the baby does not go to school yet and spends a lot of time at home, it is required to show imagination in order to surprise and captivate him.

The most popular ways to spend time are:

Enable audio playback. Create for your crumbs a cozy corner or a “chalabuda”, relaxing in which the baby will enjoy a fairy tale story while you are busy with other things.

Plasticine of bright colors. In combination with various pebbles, beads, threads and even beans, modeling will become even more interesting. You can also try to run the craft to swim in a basin or bath.

When deciding what to do with a child of 6 years old, a boy or girl can be captivated in a simple way – by watching a cartoon. The main thing is to correctly regulate the time of watching TV.

Games with various drawers, boxes and caskets. Do not refuse the baby and the game with pots and other unbreakable and non-hazardous household items.

Coloring and drawing (drawing). Give the kid paints, pencils, felt-tip pens and colored pens, and he will gladly go into the world of creativity.

Among the educational games for children 5-6 years old is sorting. Entrust the baby with shifting and sorting, and he will be passionate about this activity for a long time. At the same time, a very useful effect will be exerted on fine motor skills of the hands, and, accordingly, on memory indicators and communication capabilities.

Entertainment for preschool children is primarily educational games. Constructors, various puzzles, creativity kits and similar toys are a way not only to captivate the attention of the crumbs, but also to develop it.

Due to the characteristics of age, some children are characterized by increased activity. Parents often do not know what to do with a hyperactive child and what games to offer him.

The best solution would be to show him exciting experiments or offer something to “invent”:

    1. Put a bar of soap in the microwave and in a couple of minutes you will surprise your child with a bubble of soap.
    2. Create applications on various topics (about sea inhabitants, cars or a castle for a princess, for example).

    3. Create a model of the solar system from improvised means.

    4. Make glow-in-the-dark paints.

    5. Make together homemade clay from starch, glue and dyes.

    6. Paint the fan blades in different colors and get an iridescent palette that shimmers beautifully while the device is running.

There are countless options for what you can do with preschool children. You can use both already known methods, and come up with your own, taking into account the interests of the child.

What to do with a child 7-8 years old

At the age of 7-8 years, children prefer to learn new and unusual things. They are interested in more complex games and activities that require more attention. Basically, kids willingly play role-playing games, imagining themselves as scientists, heroes of their favorite cartoons and representatives of various professions. When choosing what to do with a 7-year-old child, it should be understood that a boy can be interested in cars, experiments, toy guns and dinosaurs, and a girl can be interested in dolls, playing “daughter-mothers” and other “girly” fun.

Mostly children of this age are free during extracurricular time. In fact, it is not so difficult to keep a child busy during the holidays or after school. If your baby is healthy and full of energy, it is worth drawing attention to sports activities. Cycling, roller skating, swimming and even simple exercises to rhythmic music with parents and in a positive mood will be useful for your child, taking his free time.

It’s great if your child has a hobby. In this case, the problem of what to do with a child of 7-8 years old at home will disappear by itself. He will be engaged in embroidery, drawing, music, modeling and even cooking (under parental control) with pleasure and for the benefit of himself.

If you have a dog, entrust your child with its training and walking. In the face of a pet, the baby will find a friend, and time will be busy communicating with him.

Logic games for children 7-8 years old are perhaps the most useful activity. At this age, the brain is actively working to establish causal and logical relationships, so entertainment of this kind is very relevant.

When looking for a solution to what to do with a child of 8 years old, you should pay attention to educational games. A variety of games in the form of a twister, monopoly, chess, Lego and similar are presented in a wide range in children’s stores – the main thing is to make a choice that your child will like.

5 ideas for entertaining your child outside the home

There are an infinite number of ways to captivate a child at home. When it comes to entertainment outside the home, there are also many options.

When choosing what to do with a child for a walk or on the street, it is worth considering the following ideas:

    1. Sport. Scooters for children 5-6 years old and bicycles for children 5-8 years old will be a wonderful hobby that brings physical development to your child.

    2. Games with friends. When wondering what game children of this age category can play, it is worth remembering the famous classics, yard football, jump rope, games with chips, balls, role-playing games.

    3. A trip to an amusement park. Various swings and carousels, a children’s shooting range and attractions are loved by children of all ages.

    4. In the question of where to go with a child in Minsk, one should consider various entertainment centers, circuses, park areas (summer version) and children’s theaters.

    5. Organizing leisure activities with a child that all family members will enjoy may involve going to the movies.

Knowing the various ways of entertainment for children, you will make their leisure time as pleasant, useful and interesting for your child as possible.

90,000 what should parents do? Psychologist’s advice

Growing up, a person goes through age-related crises – in childhood, youth, maturity. Transitional periods are inevitable: thanks to them, the formation of character occurs. In this article we talk about the crisis of 5 years in a child. How to overcome it?

Stages of a child’s psychological maturation

A child’s behavior directly depends on the level of brain development. In early childhood, neural connections are formed, which in the future will determine the basic skills of a person: speech, motor skills, memory, reaction. In infancy, we learn about the world around us, learn to interact with living beings and objects.

Let’s look at the main stages of growing up that parents should know about.

    1. Infant age (from birth to 1 year). most active period. At 12 months, a newborn learns to understand simple speech, the purpose of objects. The child stands, walks, tries to pronounce the first words. The foundation is laid for the further development of the individual.
    2. Early age (from 1 year to 3 years). The child depends on mom and dad, but strives for independence, finding his own “I”. Establishes causal relationships between things. There is a noticeable craving for communication with other children. The period ends with a crisis of the age of three: “I myself!” becomes the dominant phrase in the speech, the kid throws tantrums, manipulates, gets what he wants at any cost. The main goal is gaining personal space, setting boundaries.
    3. Preschool age (from 3 to 7 years). A long period of childhood. The child’s social circle expands: relatives, friends, caregivers, casual acquaintances. The game becomes the main activity. With its help, social roles, beliefs, and views are determined. There is a crisis of five years of age, which we will discuss in more detail.
    4. Junior school age (7-12 years). Education plays an important role. Children develop social status, determine the sphere of interests. There is a transition to abstract-logical thinking.
    5. Adolescence. The physical development of the body is completed. Puberty is accompanied by rebellion, the rejection of old principles. A person develops a new system of judgments and matures.

How does the behavior and psychology of a child change at the age of 5?

At the age of 5, individual character traits appear, the child freely expresses his opinion, realizing that his views may differ from those generally accepted. It is interesting to have a conversation with him. Children’s observations at this age amaze adults with their originality and depth. The vocabulary is replenished, the child easily picks up synonyms and rhymes, retells the plots of books, games, cartoons, learns poems by heart.

Toddlers often lie to see what the consequences will be: it’s interesting to check the possible scenarios. Often, children have numerous imaginary friends – fantasy works in an enhanced mode. Long-term memory functions well.

There is an interest in describing feelings and emotions, playing with role models. Preschoolers at the age of 5-6 are able to take minimal care of themselves – dress, wash, use cutlery.

Why does a crisis occur at 5 years old?

The child’s psyche and cerebral cortex develop daily, and there is a need for self-expression. Whims, unpredictable behavior, emotional outbursts, disputes – this is how a personality is formed.

Communication with parents is disrupted, friends disappoint – children are haunted by a feeling of loneliness. Uncontrollability is explained by an attempt to attract the attention of elders, to confirm the significance of one’s opinion.

The child realizes belonging to the biological sex, is interested in the differences between boys and girls, tries to understand his place in the complex system of human relationships. It is not easy for a kid to cope with the flow of incoming information, and he splashes out the accumulated tension through stubbornness. Fortunately for parents, this is not forever.

How long can a crisis last?

The duration of the crisis cannot be determined in advance: it depends on the individual characteristics of the child’s psyche, the reaction of adults, and the atmosphere in the family. The transitional period does not strictly begin at 5 years – sometimes a little earlier or later. As a rule, it lasts from 1 month to 1 year.

The crisis of the age of five sometimes passes easily: parents do not even notice changes in the behavior of the baby. Each case is individual, and your task is to prepare for possible difficulties, follow the advice of pediatricians and psychologists.

Signs of the beginning of a crisis

How to understand that a crisis has come? It arises from an internal conflict: the child discovers that desires and real opportunities do not coincide, and it is not possible to achieve complete autonomy – parents control every step.

    1. Unreasonable aggression. The kid is rude, snaps, refuses to follow requests. Repels relatives whom he used to love very much.
    2. Tantrums. Minor failures bring tears: I couldn’t find my favorite car, I was forbidden to go outside.
    3. The child mimics the elders, imitates them, tries to be “adult”. Grimaces, adopts habits.
    4. There is a need for solitude: children at the age of five love to lock themselves in a room, organize secret corners. Refuse to share information (do not tell how the day went, what they discussed with friends). This is due to the desire to solve problems individually.
    5. Phobias, nightmares, restless sleep. The child is afraid of supernatural beings, refuses to sleep in a room alone. Existential fears are also added – obsessive thoughts about painful illnesses, death, a sad future (“What if I don’t have friends? Will I not get sick?”)
    6. Self-doubt. The kid competes with peers, compares himself with others. Asks to evaluate his appearance or actions (“Do I have a nice dress?”)

Benefits of the crisis 5 years

Any crisis brings not only trials, but also new opportunities. At 5-6 years old, children reach the peak of learning and susceptibility to new information, gradually learning to read, write and count. To distract from psychological problems, try to help your child find a favorite activity.

During the crisis of the age of five, a sea of energy appears. This fact cannot be ignored. You get an invaluable opportunity to direct the forces of the child in a peaceful direction: find a hobby, prepare for school, discover a new talent, improve health.

Physical activity will be useful – sports, team games, long walks. If the baby grows calm and withdrawn, it’s time to unleash the creative potential with the help of developing circles.

    Changes after the crisis

After a sharp jump in the development of the psyche, the child becomes more balanced, heeds the advice of his parents and enjoys spending time with his family.

Strong-willed qualities of character, self-control are strengthened. The kid organizes the daily routine, prioritizes (first do homework, then relax; go to bed on time).

Character traits, tastes and preferences are clearly manifested. The child judges events almost without regard to parents or friends.

    Doctor Komarovsky’s advice

What does pediatrician EO Komarovsky recommend to do with unruly children?

    1. React to tantrums calmly, with a smile, ignore if necessary. The child makes scandals in front of people who are sensitive to him. If you understand that you are ready to break loose, go somewhere else. Family members should adhere to one line of behavior: the pattern “mom scolds, dad does nothing, grandma allows everything” will lead to spoilage.
    2. Do not follow the lead of others. Do people stare in disapproval because you won’t let your child take a second chocolate bar from the store shelf? Wait until the tantrum stops without your intervention. If you give in, the child will begin to use this technique to manipulate, being capricious in front of strangers. A minute of silent condemnation is better than hours of childish screaming.
    3. It is necessary to master pedagogical subtleties not during a crisis, but much earlier. Is the child still crawling, just preparing to take the first steps? Read about upcoming crises 3 and 5 years. Prepare for tests in advance.
    4. If tantrums occur without a reason, and the child is rarely in a calm state, consult a doctor.
    5. Adults may lose their temper: spank, punish, yell. With recurring nervous breakdowns, parents should seek help from a family psychologist. Children sensitively capture the state of the elders, such behavior traumatizes them. The consequences will show when the child grows up.
    6. There must be a cause-and-effect relationship in the actions: if you drop a cookie, you will take the second one from the pack tomorrow. Refuse the offered food – you will get it later. No need to instantly correct the mistakes of children, pick up objects from the floor, force-feed. Form responsibility for the actions taken from an early age.
    7. An important thing is the relationship between actions and time. “I messed up in the morning, in the evening you will be left without cartoons!”, “If you cry, you won’t go to your birthday on the weekend!” – it is not right. By the end of the day, the child will have forgotten what happened. Report the consequences immediately.
    8. Children are entirely dependent on your will. Don’t compete with them. You do not have the right to ignore biological needs, limiting healthy food, walking, sleep, but as a punishment, you can prohibit “excesses”: sweets, buying toys.

What should parents do? Psychologist’s advice

Parents should clearly define the boundaries of what is permitted. The child must understand the established laws. This is not only a matter of good behavior, but also of safety: children feel secure when there is a system of rules in life proposed by parents.

Don’t change your decisions to fit your baby’s needs. Otherwise, he will understand that you can be manipulated: “Why listen to the elders if they agree to my demands anyway?” Forbidden today – forbidden forever.
The golden rule of pedagogy is “Teach by example”. It is strange to punish children for swear words if you yourself use them in speech.

Remember: the child grows, learns new things in order to realize his potential. Disobedience is a sign of independent thinking. There are no ideal kids who unquestioningly fulfill the requirements. Hyper-obedient children grow up in initiativeless, amorphous people.

    What should not be done?

    1. Unfortunately, parents sometimes lose their patience and raise their voices to their children. It is useless: talk calmly, softly, but persistently. Give logical arguments.
    2. Physical abuse is unacceptable. Eliminate even spanking and other “harmless” touches.
    3. Do not take out your anger on a child.

Vocabulary for 2nd Grade | NC DPI

What is Vocabulary?

Vocabulary refers to knowledge of the meanings of individual words being read. Vocabulary knowledge is important to a student’s ability to read and comprehend what is read. (Definition from University of Oregon)

In 2nd grade, readers should strive to learn as many new words and their meanings as possible. Additionally, second graders should be able to figure out the meaning of unknown words for their grade level, including homophones (words that sound alike but have different meanings).

What Does it Look Like?

What does it look like to talk about vocabulary?

Practice Activities

How Many Times?: Use this activity to teach a new word and then practice using the new word as many times as possible. Select a new word (e.g., trot for run). See how many times you and the child can use the word throughout the day (e.g., “Look at those deer. They are trotting through the field.). Other ideas include using elegant for beautiful, raucous for loud, melancholy for sad, immense for big, and ludicrous for funny.

Guess My Word: Give the child 3 clues. The child guesses the word you are describing. Switch roles and continue. Try using the child’s vocabulary list from school, words the child is learning in various subjects (e.g., math, science, social studies), and areas of interest (e.g., sports, hobbies).

Examples and Non-Examples: Give non-examples of new vocabulary words to teach what the word does not mean.  Watch Examples and Non-Examples.

Watch and Apply: Watch a movie or television show with the child. While watching, take note of words used that the child may not know or use often. Add these words into meaningful conversations with the child (e. g., When the word pasteurized is used in an episode, point out the pasteurized milk and juice in the refrigerator).

Practice Activities (with Printables)

If you don’t have a printer, your child’s school will print these for you.

Build a Word: Build words with the child by adding prefixes and suffixes to root words.  Build a Word

Direct vocabulary instruction helps students to become better readers, writers, and thinkers. I carefully chose tier 2 words that students are likely to see in text and on standardized testing.

Please check out the preview to get a look at the resources included. This resource was written for second graders.

Commonly Asked Questions

Q: Where do you find the words?

A: The words are high frequency words from grade level texts and tests.

Q: What are tier 2 words?

A: Tier 2 words are words that students will see often, but need to be taught. They are not content specific such a math and science vocabulary. Instead they are words that students will see over and over in their books and on standardized tests.

Q: What do you do with the words from the reading curriculum?

A: Honestly, I used those words for practice with context clues rather than memorization. I found that they were not words that students were regularly seeing in their books anyway. If you do need to add in your basal words, they could easily be added to the vocabulary journal. They just would not appear in the premade assessments.

  • Build relationship skills and learn to express their feelings.
  • Have access to specialized books, tools, art materials and toys that invite them to investigate new concepts and build vocabulary
  • Engage in playful activities that stimulate their brain and support their development of 40 foundational skills

Every month, your child will explore a new and exciting theme. Each week begins with a new storybook. Your child will build strong literacy skills as well as listening comprehension, book handling and communication skills. Each story will be expanded into math games, music activities and art projects

Hands-on Learning through Play.

Your child’s teacher will use books, puppets, music, blocks, puzzles and manipulatives to inspire a love of learning. While your child plays, they will naturally build foundational skills.

These skills are interwoven within 7 developmental domains:

  • social-emotional
  • physical and motor
  • language and literacy
  • math and reasoning
  • science
  • social studies
  • creative arts

Pre-K 3

Children are becoming independent. They learn to make choices and understand consequences. Curriculum provides children with hands-on learning activities and experiences with a variety of appropriate materials. We encourage social skills by taking turns, sharing, following directions, cooperation, expressing needs, and respecting others. We teach children a sense of community by providing ownership of materials, rotating class jobs, and following routines.

After School

We provide a safe and comfortable environment for the school-ages children. After school program includes an afternoon snack/drink, homework time, group activities and a time for free play. Homework tutoring is available for an additional charge. All transportation must be arranged by parents.

Pre-K 4

The focus of their curriculum is Kindergarten readiness, which includes the skills needed for pre-reading, writing and problem solving. We accomplish this with a print rich environment filled with carious opportunities for hands on learning. Children will learn to become independent. They will learn how to solve problems and explore new ideas. They will learn sight words that will lead them to read in different reading levels.

SUBSIDIZED CHILD CARE VOUCHERS, WELCOME!

Read online e-book Heavenly postman Fedya Bulkin – From Fedina’s notebook: about celestial geologists for free and without registration!

My mom and dad went to build the City of Heaven, my grandmother said. Business trip, obviously.

Mom and dad are my geologists. Without geologists in construction anywhere. The Soviet people are exploring new territories, and what! If we do morning exercises with my grandmother in the heart of our Motherland – Moscow, in Petropavlovsk in Kamchatka – midnight!

Last time, dad and mom went to BAM to build, lay the Baikal-Amur highway, they built it for a long time, for a long time . .. they returned, and I’m already here! They didn’t even recognize me; Mom gasped, and dad said: “Well, brother, I don’t recognize you! How did they change it…”

I was very frightened: what if my grandmother, while they were gone, replaced me?

Then they returned, I was still here, and now they will return, I’m already here…

I’m spinning the globe. I want to find this Heavenly City. Only cities are written very small on the globe, just fleas. And I have learned to read. My dad and mom will return, and gasp! Yes, grandma?

– What, Fedenka?

– That’s me, grandmother, nothing.

“You can’t brag, Fedya, about good deeds…” grandmother threatens. “Say it out loud, and God doesn’t consider it good anymore.” And why do good, if there is no gu-gu about it ?! Bad deeds should be done in secret, I think! He broke the cup, notice it slowly into the scoop, if the grandmother, as it happened, didn’t blindly hear, throw it out in a good way, quickly, so as not to upset her. Because upsetting grandma is also bad. Dad said so when they left: “Behave yourself. Don’t upset grandma! You are alone while I am away, for a man…”

I’m the only one for men, do you understand? And the grandmother, although old, is still a woman, because of a broken cup, you know how upset she will be! Yes, grandma?

– Huh?

– Now, for example, if I, a grandmother, broke some kind of cup, would you be upset?

– Lord have mercy! What?!

– For example, I said this, grandma…

You can see for yourself…

So you need to talk about good things, otherwise grandma will never notice that I washed the dishes, she has a girl’s memory, and she will think until her death that it was she who washed it herself … and the bad in a scoop. So two things will come out at the same time: good and bad, and don’t tell both for the company, because the bad thing, that he broke the cup, pulled the good thing with him, that the grandmother was not upset. She has these cups, you know? Army! A whole army of chaigonya. Beat and beat quietly, partisan …

– Grandma!

– What, Fedenka?

– Let me, grandma, throw out the trash for you?

– Please throw it away, Fedenka…

Here is the third good thing! Where one is good, there is another! Like mushrooms in the forest. Like trolleybuses sixty-first. Where one trolleybus sixty-first came, there is the next one, in a row.

– They are probably afraid of getting lost, grandma…

– Who?

– Trolleybuses!

– Humorist …

Everything should be treated with humor, grandma!

My mothers… God’s passion… a cockroach!!!

Four have already turned out good for me! For God (although I don’t have him, that’s for sure!) I would still make a list in my life (just in case, suddenly there is?) in two columns: said the grandmother. Busy man! And I myself have already learned to write…

GOOD THINGS:

1 – that the grandmother was not upset because of the cup that she blurted out.

2 – that I threw out the trash.

3 – that I didn’t tell my grandmother that I had thrown out the trash (because I first suggested throwing it out, and then I threw it away so that she wouldn’t think again that it was herself).

4 – and one more thing, so that when she throws it away she doesn’t notice the shards!

Four good deeds already! I say, good deeds, like trolleybuses, in succession!

Where is this Heavenly City on the globe anyway?

Blue, probably painted here. And here and there blue … I twist, I twist … In which direction do dad and mom live, if there are puddles, puddles all over the globe? .. Where are my dad and mom?!

– Everything that is on the globe, Fed, God painted on earth. Seas, islands… Here we live, Moscow is written, you see? Here in the city of Tolyatti are ours: Aunt Olya, Grigory Mikhailovich, Zhenechka … Here we were with you, the Black Sea, remember? City of Anapa. And the Heavenly City is in heaven, not on earth.

– Fly by plane?

– Airplanes, Fed, fly below.

No wonder I’m going to become an astronaut like Yuri Gagarin. Look how high the city is being built, if the planes are higher…

– On a rocket?

– On a rocket, you will grow up and fly to the moon. And the City of Heaven is also higher than the Moon.

Very high! But not much. In vain my grandmother is sure that without God’s help you can not get there.

– Without God’s help, Fedya, you can’t even cook porridge.

– Why do people need it, grandmother, your porridge?!

What heights the builders have reached! The earth was built up, the sky was stepped over, space is now being explored! Dad and mom, of course, have no time there, it’s important for them, I understand…

But when I become an astronaut, I fly to the Moon, we’ll look around there, and I’ll say this to my cosmonaut comrades: now we’re flying to the City of Heaven, comrades! To mom and dad!

– On what planet do you think grandma, dad and mom are building now? Jupiter or Mars?

– . .. And the map, how to fly to the City of Heaven, in the sky, Fedya, the Lord signified us with stars. The Milky Way is called. Star city. From Bolshaya Medvedikha it is to the right …

That’s it! The plan was drawn, thank God, by God for those who want to fly to their father and mother. So, see you. Otherwise, I miss you very much…

Sometimes I miss you so much that my heart tingles through the tears in my eyes.

– You need to fly in a spacesuit, right, grandma? Without a spacesuit in space, you will suffocate to death while you fly.

“Dear, Fedya, what are spacesuits for? The soul will leave the body and, without any spacesuit, will fly alive in an instant, if you behave well…

– Wake up, Fedya, it’s time to go to the kindergarten.

– I won’t go to kindergarten today, grandmother.

– What kind of news is this, Fedya?

– My soul is far away…

– Where is she, Fedenka?

– In Petropavlovsk, grandmother. On Kamchatka.

* * *

And yet I really miss you! Even photography doesn’t always help. It is clear, of course, from this photograph that it is good for dad and mom to live and build in the City of Heaven. There they are standing with each other, embracing, smiling through the glass. Only for someone there without me, maybe it’s good, but what about me?

– Grandma!

– What, Fedya?

– What would you give for my dad and mom to return to us?

– I would give everything, Fedya.

– And me?!

– I wouldn’t give you away to anyone, what are you, Fedenka…

I, too, would have changed my mind before giving you away, grandmother…

– Grandmother?!

– What about it, Fed?

– Is there a border in the City of Heaven?

– Yes. It’s called the horizon.

This is where the sky converges with the sea. An imaginary line, my father explained to me, because nowhere does the sea really meet the sky. She is not imaginary. Unattainable.

My grandmother and I once sailed along the Black Sea on a pleasure tram…

– Why is this tram without rails, grandmother? How does he swim?

– He is on the compass.

I know the compass, my dad showed me, it always points in one direction. Let’s swim!

But no matter how the tram floats, farther and farther is God’s border, a horizontal line. It seems to be drawn by a beam on the water, and even clouds fly along.

The sun sets beyond this border, rises from behind this border.

The sun from abroad… Now on the other side, now on this…

– What do you think, grandma, is it disgusting for the sun to look after us at the capitalists with the bourgeoisie?

– The sun, Fedya, is watching to make everyone warm, bright for everyone, so that the day will come, so that the night will come, so that winter will change into summer …

– But I think, grandmother, that’s disgusting!

Salty water from the eyes when I glow. Salty in the sea.

And the sea is huge, the strip where the sun sets is divided in half with the sky.

– Why, grandma, is the water in the sea salty? Salt herring, or did people cry so much?

– Salt herring …

– And if salmon is in tomato?

– And this, Fedya, is salting salmon in another sea.

– Tomato, so there is a sea … Spicy salting …

I expected to see a black sea, as it is written. And it’s blue. Blue and salty.

Do not drink. Herrings, on the other hand, with sprats themselves are salted in it. Then the fishermen catch herrings with sprats in the net ready, they take them to the shops. Cleverly arranged. Just lie down, lie down, sunbathe, and you will want to drink so much! You have to spend money on lemonade. It was a pity in the sea, or what, pour lemonade to God?

Lemonade sea…

There is a lake, Baikal. From this lake, it means that the carbonated drink “Baikal” is poured. Tasteless. Birch sap – from birch into large dusty jars. And in the White Sea, milk, probably … Or snow?

Milk Sea… Snowy…

God was wrong only with the Black Sea. Should there be ink in it or oil, which my dad is looking for everywhere, and he salts herring in it?

It’s all very strange, like in Chukovsky’s book, where the blue sea is stewed with bagels. The sea needs to be extinguished with water, especially since the sea is full of it, and the bagels will only make them worse.

– Is there a Blue Sea, grandma?

– There is Red.

Named in honor of the victory of the socialist revolution. Also red and the flag of our Motherland. Colors of blood spilled for justice, flag! With a golden sickle and a hammer.

But it’s still very strange to me, the Black Sea is the color of blue, the White Sea is the same blue on the globe. It’s as if not an adult, but a little one, painted everything…

The horizon stretches across the whole earth, like a belt along a grandmother.

– Did people, grandmother, cross the horizon? Or are there border guards? Sheepdogs with dogs? Does the horizon have a neutral zone?

No man’s land is a good thing! About her, Vladimir Vysotsky, my mother’s favorite (except dad) poet, sings.

When the atomic war comes (the end of the world – according to grandmother), we should move to this neutral zone with her …

– Grandmother?!

– Huh?

– And where is the Horizon border on the globe, show me?

– There is no such border on the globe…

– And on the political map?

That’s because God did not draw his political border on the map, many people cross it by accident. Not spies or enemy scouts. And by accident …

And in the City of Heaven, I think they need a document, an identity certifying that she died.

Death certificate. Mom and dad have such testimonies. They are in my grandmother’s nightstand.

– Grandmother!

– What, Fedya?

– Why didn’t mom and dad take their certificates to the Heavenly City?

– What evidence?

– From the fireman’s bedside table that died. What? Forgot?!

If dad and mom have forgotten their testimonies, then they won’t be allowed to build the City of Heaven! They will return, so they . .. Grandmother would soon fall asleep! I need to hide these evidences for me. And even better – to shreds …

You can also ask (when next time I get better) our doctor of the polyclinic Valentina Andreevna to write me a certificate not that I was ill and recovered, but that I was ill and died. First of all, with such a certificate, I think, you can never go to kindergarten again, and the main thing is to get into the City of Heaven with a certificate.

And it is even more reliable, of course, to actually die for a short time to me. For about a week. Although… if I’m already in the City of Heaven, having died for a little while, I probably won’t want to come back here anymore…

So, before I die, I must confess to my grandmother that it was I, and not Punya, who broke the vase. Otherwise, the soul will fly to the gates of the City, they will say to it: “Whose soul are you?” I, she will say, is the soul of Fedya Bulkin. “Ah, here you are! – then the people at the pass will tell her. – Well, since you are the soul of Fedin, if you are Fedya Bulkin, then fly back to the day when you broke the vase. And because of you, Pune then got it.

And then worry again…

– Grandmother? But if you, when you die, were offered to live anew, would you agree?

– Maybe I would agree, Fedya. Why not live? I would have lived …

– But I would, grandmother, FOR NOTHING!

And just in case, I also save money in a clay piggy bank for a ticket to the City of Heaven. Maybe there will be an opportunity, like in the Kremlin, when my dad and I went – an excursion to the City of Heaven? See you…

– What are you saving for, Fedya?

– For a tour.

– Where is this excursion?

– To the Heavenly City.

– That’s not how you save…

– And how?

– By good deeds.

Okay. Then I’ll wash the dishes…

* * *

Celestial Geologists, so now my father and mother. Space. Sounds!

The first man on Earth, the hero Yuri Gagarin, flew into space, followed by my father and mother – to explore the sky, to build heavenly highways . ..

THE SKY OF THE COUNTRY OF SOVIETS! Sounds!

COSMOS OF THE COUNTRY OF SOVIETS! Sounds!

It’s good that we were the first to think of building up space, and not America. They and so Columbus discovered two Americas: North and South. Enough of them.

I looked into the cosmic sky – and really huge … no end in sight. But how do my dad and mom build on it, without a foundation? After all, a city cannot exist without a foundation, can it? Will it still collapse?

– Grandmother …

– What, Fed?

– Do you think our roof will hold up if space collapses?

– Space will not collapse, Fedya.

– What is it based on?

– And what does it all depend on, Fedya…

– On snot?!?

All children learn poems by March 8 and want to give the best gifts, flowers and crafts! These spring poems are the most valuable thing for our mothers. We have collected a large collection of poems for March 8, for sons and daughters, children of different ages. A lot of short and long poems and congratulations for our mothers. Learn poems at home and in kindergarten!

Verse for mom from March 8

Mommy, beautiful,
My dear,
Happy spring holiday
I congratulate you!

Joy, smiles!
You always bloom,
You are my ray of sunshine,
I love you!

A verse for March 8 to mother

I washed the dishes,
I watered the flowers in pots,
And I didn’t forget the toys,
Put everything in its place.

Well, you, my dear,
Sit down and rest.
After all, today is Mother’s Day,
Women’s Day and Spring!

Mother’s day

Mother’s day! Mother’s day!
Put on the best dress!
Get up early in the morning,
Clean up the house,
Something good
Give to Mom.

A short verse for March 8 to mother

I adore my mother,
I will hug her tightly,
Believe me,
I love her so much!

Not more beautiful in the world
My mother,
She is not there – more beautiful,
She is not – dearer!

Wishes for March 8 for children

Be always healthy,
You don’t know sadness
And warmth and happiness
Open the doors!

Mommy, your eyes,
Like a bright star,
Illuminate my soul…
I am grateful to you.
I want to hug you
And kiss you all over!

A touching verse for children – Sekretik

I confess a secret:
There is no better mother in the world.
She’s the only one like that,
My dear mother!

I will bring her flowers,
I will kiss my mother on the cheek,
I will give my love
And I will say a few words to her:

“Since March 8, mother!
Be happy yourself!
I will try very hard
Only to please you.

A short verse for mother

Here she is:
The dearest,
The most beloved,
The most beautiful,
The best,
Sweet, comely,
Better than my mother
Not in the whole world,
I give her this
March bouquet!

Happy Women’s Day!

Today I congratulate
my mother on Women’s Day!
Happiness – if mom is nearby,
And it’s not boring for us together.

Mom knows all my wishes
Knows right away, in advance.
If my mother helps me –
So I’m definitely lucky.

Mom is a friend, adviser, doctor.
Without her, I am not me either.
Be healthy and happy
Forever, my mother!

A poem from children

I love my mother,
I will give her a present.
I made a gift myself
From paper with paints.
I’ll give it to my mother,
Embracing affectionately.

Happy March 8th from my daughter and son

Sweet and kind,
The dearest,
She is beloved,
My dear,
I love!

8 March

Each by his own mother only
Protected from all troubles.

Mom won’t sleep at night
If you get sick.
You can guess everything you want,
You only have time to remember.

How many people you will not meet,
Passing through the world.
You won’t find a better mother,
There is simply no better.

I love you

Mom, my dear, my good one,
The most beautiful, I love you!

Be the same kind, affectionate mine,

Poem for March 8 from my son

I lost my feet today,
Peck pie for mommy,
I took two glasses of flour,
Honey, a little sour cream,
A couple of spoons of jam,
Marmalade and cookies,
Chopped chocolate
I put some nuts,
Three eggs, a kilo of sweets,
Although they are not in the recipe,
But it will be tastier this way,
Mom will not forget my work,
Everything will turn out as it should,
Mom will be happy!

By March 8

Mom dressed up,
Cleaned the house,
Mom went shopping
Quietly gathered …

And I gave her a gift
Small brought
On the day of March 03, I grew up already!

Large bouquet

Big bouquet – for mom,
For the very best,
For the sweet and beloved,
Good and beautiful!

Gifts and bouquets,
Delicious sweets,
Today everything is for them,
Our dear mothers!

Mom’s portrait

I drew a portrait,
I tried my best.
I broke it from effort
All my pencils

Both brown and blue,
And orange broke …
Still a beautiful portrait,
Because it’s mom.

I take care of my mother’s work

I take care of my mother’s work,
I help in any way I can.
Today mom for lunch
Cooked cutlets
And said: “Listen,
Help out, eat!”
I ate a little,
Isn’t there help?

Mother’s Day

Eighth of March – Mother’s Day
knock, knock – knocking to visit us,
he only comes to that house,
where they help mom.
We are the floor, we will sweep for mom
We will set the table ourselves.

We’ll cook dinner for her,
We’ll sing and dance for her
And for the holiday her portrait
Draw with crayons!

All the stars for mom

How many stars are in the sky!
You can’t count everyone.
These stars for my mother
I’ll give them again.

And one morning,
Looking at me,
Mom will smile:
“My little star!”

Gift for mommy

Colored paper
Cut out a piece.
I will make 9 out of it0323 Small flower.
Mommy a gift
I’ll cook.
The most beautiful
My mother!

I love my mother so much

How much light is in the house!
How much beauty!
Flowers glow on the table for mom.
I love my mother so much –
I can’t find the words!
Gently kiss,
I will sit in a chair
I will wash the bowl,
I will pour tea for her,
I will cover her shoulders
I will sing songs.
Let mother not know
Grief and worries!
May the Eighth of March
Last a whole year!

Verse for mom

I am a multicolored gift
I decided to give it to my mom.
I tried to draw
with four pencils.
But first I pressed red
Too hard,
And then, immediately after red
Violet broke,
And then blue broke,
And orange broke …
Still a beautiful portrait,
Because it’s mom!

Surprise

And what gift for mom
Will we give on Women’s Day?
There are many for this
Fantastic ideas.
After all, prepare a surprise for mom –
It’s very interesting …
We’ll knead the dough in the bath
Or wash the chair …
Well, as a gift for mom
I’ll paint the closet with flowers,
It would be nice if the ceiling …
It’s a pity, I’m not tall ..

Verse from my son

Who opened this world to me,
Sparing no effort?
And always protected?
The best mom in the world.

Who is the sweetest in the world
And warms with his warmth,
Loves more than himself?
This is my Mommy.

Reads books in the evening
And always understands everything,
Even if I’m stubborn,
I know that Mom loves me.

Never lose heart,
He knows exactly what I need.
If, suddenly, a drama happens,
Who will support? My mom.

I walk along the path,
But my legs are tired.
Jump over the hole
Who will help? I know Mom.

Mommy, you are extraordinary

There is a huge universe in your eyes,
Mommy, you are extraordinary,
You are a storehouse of wisdom, harmony, warmth,
Let your life be like a wonderful spring. I’m alone with my mother – daughter

She has very soft hands

She has very soft hands,
I’m dying of boredom without them…
She has blue eyes,
Like bright skies – turquoise…

Cap of blond beautiful hair,
Braided braids…
There is no more beautiful mother in the world,
The best and dearest!

Mom

Who is the cutest in the world?
Mom.

  • Ask for time to consider your job offer
  • Negotiate a lowball job offer
  • Send a standard counter offer email
  • Counter with your bottom line
  • Disclose other offers in your counter
  • Follow up after counter offering

Just in case you’re not convinced that you can or should negotiate a higher salary after a job offer, let’s start with a few common questions about the process.

Should you negotiate your job offer? Even if it’s already pretty good?

Yes.

But you were probably looking for a little more information, weren’t you? 😉

Yes, because there might be room to negotiate.

If you interviewed well and avoided sharing your current or expected salary, then the company’s offer is designed to convince you to join their team (as opposed to being the minimum they think you’ll accept).

But most job offers—even strong ones—have some wiggle room in case you decide to negotiate, so you should counter offer to see if there’s wiggle room and how much wiggle room there might be.

Yes, negotiating your starting salary is a good way to get paid what you’re worth. Yes, negotiating will give you the best opportunity to get other additional benefits like vacation time or signing bonuses.

But the best reason to negotiate is that you could literally be leaving money on the table if you don’t test the company to see if there’s room to negotiate.

Salary Negotiation Guide

I recommend negotiating salary over email as long as you can, but you’ll end up negotiating over the phone by the end of the process.

Sending a counter offer email is better for you because you can be more deliberate with every word, you can carefully articulate your counter offer and make your case, and because emails can be circulated internally among the decision makers who might need to approve a higher salary for you.

When you counter offer on the phone, you’re more likely to make mistakes due to nervousness or a simple lack of familiarity with the negotiation process. It’s also difficult to succinctly state your case for why you’re an exceptional candidate for the position when you’re nervous and feeling rushed on a phone call.

And even if you articulate your case well, then you’re at the mercy of the recruiter to clearly communicate your case to the other decision makers. You’re literally playing “The Telephone Game” with your salary negotiation, miscommunications during a salary negotiation aren’t nearly as funny.

Already counter offered and need to prepare for that final phone call? Here’s a guide to your final salary negotiation:

Salary negotiation script example

First things first: Ask for time to consider the job offer

Hopefully you’re convinced that you should negotiate your salary and that a counter offer email is the way to go.

Where to begin? The first thing you should do is ask for some time to consider the job offer so that you can regroup and use this article to write a compelling salary negotiation email.

Your job offer will probably be of the informal variety, and you’ll either be told the details on a phone call with a hiring manager or recruiter, or the details will be emailed to you.

Here’s what to say to get some time to consider your job offer when it’s shared over the phone:

Thank you so much for your job offer. Do you mind if I take a couple of days to consider your offer and discuss this opportunity with my family?

They’ll almost certainly say, “Sure! I look forward to hearing what you think, and please let me know if you have any questions.”

And now you’ve moved the conversation off of the phone and into email.

Sometimes, you’ll get the job offer via email and you can just respond to that email and ask for more time. You can also respond with an email to a verbal offer made by the hiring manager or recruiter with an email.

Here’s an email template you can use to reply to your job offer letter while you write your salary negotiation email:

Evaluate the job offer

There are many components to most job offers, but base salary is usually far more important than all of the others. Base salary is what you can use to set your budget, pay your mortgage, make your car payment, and put food on your table while you work for this company.

Base salary is also the gift that keeps on giving: You’ll get that salary every year and your raises, promotions, performance bonuses, and stock grants will usually be based on this number. You also get paid vacation time every year, but that doesn’t tend to affect your raises or bonuses. Signing bonuses are nice, but they’re a one-time thing.

Because it’s so important, we’ll primarily focus your counter offer on the base salary component.

Does the base salary component meet your minimum requirements?

Now that you’ve gotten a job offer and asked for time to think it over, you should… think it over.

Specifically, you need to determine if the offer is close enough to your minimum acceptable salary to negotiate as-is, or if it’s too low to work with.

As a general rule of thumb, if the job offer is more than 20% below your minimum acceptable salary, the offer is too low to negotiate using a standard approach. I call these “lowball” job offers.

Negotiating a lowball job offer

If you’ve gotten a lowball job offer, it’s possible you won’t be able to salvage it, and you may end up simply telling the company what your minimum requirements are to see if they can meet them.

But first, you can use a technique that may encourage them to revise their offer and try again. The technique is pretty simple: tell the recruiter or hiring manager that the offer is disappointing and ask whether they can make any improvements.

Essentially, you’re trying to get them to negotiate against themselves to improve the offer before you counter offer. This will often induce the company to improve your job offer and try again, hopefully with a base salary that’s closer to or even above your minimum acceptable salary.

Here’s how to ask for a higher salary offer with a short email:

Now it’s time to counter offer. Here’s how to write a counter offer email.

The best way to counter offer is with an email. Not only does an email give you time to carefully outline your reasons for counter offering, but an email can be circulated within the company in the event that they need to use the financial approval process to allocate additional funds to grant your request.

Here’s a standard counter offer template, based on a real counter offer letter used in a real salary negotiation. I’ve changed the names and numbers, but otherwise it’s copied and pasted from my Sent email folder.

Let’s review the essential components of a strong baseline sample counter offer letter section by section. Then we’ll look at variations on the baseline template for specific situations.

Open with a greeting

You’ll usually address your counter offer email to the recruiter you’ve been working with throughout the hiring process, not the hiring manager who extended the verbal job offer. Ultimately, you’ll address it to whoever has been your primary point of contact throughout the job interview process because you will probably negotiate with that same person as well.

Including a personal comment like “I hope you had a great weekend!” can help build rapport with the recruiter. That could be beneficial later when you need them to go to bat for you.

Suggest that you want to counter offer, but do not name the amount yet

Then cut to the chase quickly so that this section shows up in the email preview pane if possible: You’re pretty happy with the job offer, but you want to talk about the base salary component. In other words: you want to counter offer.

Don’t state your counter offer yet because because you want to make your case before you make a specific ask.

Make your case

Now you’ll write the longest paragraph in the email: your case to justify your counter offer.

Why spend all this time making your case instead of just getting to the point and making your counter offer? There are two main reasons:

1. Makes your counter offer more compelling and easier to accept

By making your case before your counter offer, you’re reinforcing the fact that you will add significant value to the company in this role. The better your case, the more reasonable your counter offer will seem.

This is the longest paragraph in the entire email because sometimes a wall of text can work in your favor. After one or two sentences, it should be pretty obvious that this is a long list of compelling reasons that you’re a good fit for the company. It’s one of the few times it’s a good thing if the recruiter doesn’t read the entire paragraph. This paragraph is specifically designed so the recruiter will eventually think, “Ok, I get it! You’re the perfect candidate for this job! 🙄 What’s it going to cost to bring you on board?”

Don’t go overboard here, but it’s ok if this paragraph is a little long. Six or seven reasons that you’re a good fit for the role should do it.

2. Gives the recruiter a written case to circulate internally

Sometimes, the recruiter will have an approved salary range they can accommodate and they’ll have authority to negotiate with you directly without further approval. Other times, they’ll need run your counter offer up the approval chain to see what’s possible.

When they need further approval, you need to make it as easy as possible for them to make a strong case to justify the additional salary. You could state your case verbally—on a phone call—but then you’re counting on them to remember everything and convey it to Finance or whoever can approve additional budget for your salary.

Instead, give them a well-written counter offer email that they can circulate along with their request for additional budget. You will make your own case much better than they will, so giving them your case in writing allows you to make your best case to whoever needs to approve your final salary.

Salary Negotiation Email Template – An example of how to state your case

How to write a compelling case to support your counter offer

Ask yourself, “What are five or six ways I can contribute to this team and make an impact right away?” Then write the answers down as bullet points or sentence fragments. All you need is the ideas to start with.

Once you have five or six good bullets, turn those bullets into sentences. Then turn those sentences into a paragraph and make sure it makes sense by reading it aloud. Once you can read it aloud and it makes sense, you’re all set.

Re-state the job offer

Briefly summarize the job offer so there’s no confusion or miscommunication. If you received a verbal job offer, you want to be sure the recruiter is aware of that offer and that it matches what they were told by the hiring manager. If you received a written job offer letter, then summarizing the job offer is just a formality, but it’s still useful.

If there has been any miscommunication around your job offer, now is the time to find out.

State your counter offer (finally!)

State your counter offer in a firm but neutral way. “I would be more comfortable if we can settle on $56,000.” is a good way to phrase your counter offer. It’s not combative, but it is firm and makes it easy for the recruiter to simply reply with “Ok, we can do that.” if it’s within the approved salary range.

Need help determining your counter offer amount? Use this counter offer calculator to get started:

Salary negotiation counter offer calculator

“Are you sure you can’t do any better?” is not firm or neutral. That makes it very easy for the recruiter to simply say, “I’m sorry, we can’t.” By stating the actual amount along with “…I would be more comfortable…”, you’re forcing the recruiter to acknowledge the amount you counter offered and respond to that specific amount while making it tougher to simply say “No.”

Immediately after your counter offer, summarize your case in a single sentence, just to remind them of the great case you made earlier.

Confirm or request next steps

If you haven’t already set your next meeting time or discussed other next steps, be sure to ask about them. “Thanks for your time, and please let me know our next steps.”

In this example, I had already scheduled a follow up call to discuss my job offer with the recruiter on Monday at 10:30 AM, so I simply confirmed that meeting time.

The baseline sample salary negotiation letter we reviewed above will work for most situations, but there are a few unique circumstances that might require a slightly modified version of the template.

Counter offering with your minimum acceptable salary

Sometimes, the lowball technique will result in an improved job offer that you can negotiate with a standard counter offer. But sometimes the company will stand pat, indicating their offer is already about as strong as they’re comfortable with.

This usually means you won’t take the job because the offer is so far below your minimum acceptable salary that you can’t negotiate up to your minimum using standard techniques. Still, it can’t hurt to give them one last opportunity to meet your minimum acceptable salary by explicitly telling them what it will take to bring you onto their team.

When you’re countering with your minimum, it’s important to be sure you counter in a way that makes it clear you cannot accept the opportunity if they are unable to meet your minimum requirements. You would typically send this after you have gotten a response to the lowball technique described earlier in this article.

The wording in this version of your salary negotiation letter will be much less collaborative and more firm: “…the base salary needs to be…” as opposed to “…I would be more comfortable if we could settle on…”

That so you can be absolutely sure the recruiter understands that this number is no longer negotiable.

Counter offering and letting the company know you are considering other offers

One of the most common questions my coaching clients ask about negotiating salary is whether they should get multiple job offers and use them as leverage in their salary negotiation with the company they really want to work with.

In general, I don’t think that’s a good tactic. But! This moment in the salary negotiation—when you’re delivering your counter offer—is the perfect time to alert the company that you’re considering multiple job offers so they are incentivized to improve their offer to convince you to join their team.

It doesn’t take much, and you can do this very subtly.

Before your signature, include a note that you’re considering other opportunities. This will send a strong signal to the recruiter that they not only need to make you a strong offer, but that it needs to be strong enough to compel you to accept their offer over the other company’s.

You don’t need to tell them which companies have made you offers or share the details of those offers at this stage. You might share those details later if you’re strongly leaning toward accepting another company’s offer and you would consider working for this company if they can meet or exceed that other offer.

When you’re negotiating salary over email, simply mentioning competing offers is sufficient. No need to go into great detail.

After you use the counter offer letter sample above to write your own email, send it to a couple friends or family members for review. They might find typos or suggest some ways you can tighten it up or make it better. You can always remove the specific details of your job offer and counter offer if you’re not comfortable sharing them.

As soon as you hit Send on your counter offer email, you’ll breathe a small sigh of relief because your work is done. Then about 30 minutes later, you’ll feel nervous and think, “Why haven’t they replied yet?!” It’s normal to feel this way, and it’s normal for the recruiter to take a while to get back to you.

Most recruiters are communicating with several candidates at any given time. They’re very, very busy. So it could be a few hours before they even see your counter offer, and then they’ll likely need to compare it to the approved salary range for the job you’re pursuing, and possibly go talk to Finance or the Hiring Manager about your counter offer to see how much they can accommodate you.

These things all take time.

Of course, you’re focused on this particular offer and it’s extremely important to you because it will literally affect the next several years of your life in many ways. You care so much that you read a long article on how to negotiate your salary over email, carefully selected the right counter offer for your situation, wrote and edited your own counter offer email, sent it to friends or family to get feedback, edited it, and finally sent it back to the recruiter.

You’re laser focused on this one negotiation, whereas the recruiter is bouncing from offer to offer, just trying to keep up.

All that to say: Be patient and give it some time. They’ll get back to you eventually because their job is to fill the role you’re interviewing for.

But if you haven’t heard back from them after two or three business days (weekends don’t count!), it might help to send a short email to touch base, move your negotiation to the top of their list, and make sure you didn’t miss an email or phone call at some point.

You don’t need to akd how they feel about your counter offer, whether they can accommodate it, or anything like that. You don’t want them to know you’re sweating the negotiation—you’re just casually checking in to make sure they’re not waiting on you.

What happens next?

Once you send your counter offer email, there may be a short delay—typically less than 24 hours—and the recruiter or hiring manager will respond with something like, “Thanks for considering our offer. Do you have some time later today or early tomorrow to talk?” They want to move the conversation to the phone because it’s faster and because it favors them—they’re a lot more comfortable having this conversation than you are.

So as soon as you send your salary negotiation email, you need to prepare for your Final Discussion. This is what most people mean when they say “salary negotiation”. It’s a very short call—usually only 3–5 minutes—where they’ll respond to your counter offer and you’ll hash out all the final details of your compensation package.

Are you ready for your Final Discussion? Use this script to get the most out of your final call with the recruiter:

Salary negotiation script example

Conclusion

You should negotiate your job offer even if it already seems pretty good. The best way to begin the salary negotiation is by sending a counter offer email. Eventually, the negotiation will move to the phone, but it’s best to negotiate over email as long as you can because it’s easier to manage the process and avoid mistakes.

The first thing you should do when you get a job offer is ask for some time to think it over using this template.

Then, evaluate your job offer relative to your minimum acceptable salary to determine if you can negotiate using standard techniques or if you’ve received a lowball offer that might benefit from a unique tactic you can employ with this template.

Once you’re ready to counter offer, use the salary negotiation email sample to build your case and send your counter offer. There are also a couple of minor variations that may come in handy if your situation is unique.

If you don’t hear back after a few days, you might want to follow-up to make sure you’re still on the recruiter’s radar and that you didn’t miss any emails or phone calls. This template will help you check in.

Then it’s time to prepare for your Final Discussion, where you’ll hash out all the final details of your compensation package.

What Is a Counteroffer Letter?

A counteroffer letter is a formal letter or an email expressing a job applicant’s desire to modify the initial offer from the potential employer. The candidate usually expresses their willingness to join the company but wants to negotiate the terms and conditions of the offer.

Studies say that over 50% of job searchers do not actually state their salary expectations clearly, because they think the salary’s fixed. However, over 60% of hiring managers actually leave some wiggle room, so trying to negotiate better conditions is a sound idea.

But a counteroffer letter is not necessarily just a salary negotiation where a candidate is asking for higher compensation. It can also indicate your willingness to:

  • Revise the original offer during a call/meeting.
  • Discuss the additional benefits you’d like to have (like days off, travel reimbursements, etc.)

When to Send a Counteroffer Letter?

How do you know the situation calls for a counteroffer letter? Here are some typical examples:

  • The salary offered is lower than that in your previous position (and you’re not switching careers).
  • The conditions don’t match the expenses and cost of living in the area.
  • The position requires relocation, which presupposes extra expenditures.
  • You’re convinced your expertise and job title call for higher pay. You have multiple job offers, and you wish to negotiate the best conditions for yourself.

The ultimate goal is to formulate a concise, reasonable, evidence-backed letter justifying your

request—which would result in the employer meeting your expectations (and the offer staying on the table, naturally).

Counteroffer Letter Writing Tips

When you’re preparing your counteroffer letter, you need to make sure you maintain a good relationship with the recruiter, retain the job opportunity, and get what you want. There are multiple ways to achieve that.

First and foremost, you need to find and collect the data to back you up:

  • Research Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and similar job sites to find typical salary ranges for your position.
  • Assemble an inventory of your top skills, certifications/licenses, and training that is sure to showcase your value to the potential employer.
  • Justify your market value by presenting your outstanding results from previous jobs (backed with numbers).
  • Mention any experience that involved responsibilities of a higher level of seniority—managing a team, onboarding new employees, designing a training program, etc.

Then, think of things you could ask for beyond the salary:

  • Paid time off
  • Sick days
  • Other benefits (health insurance, language classes, sports cards, etc.)
  • Higher commissions
  • Reimbursements (internet and equipment costs if you work from home or travel expenses)
  • Relocation coverage

And lastly, make sure you convey the right tone:

  • Be confident but respectful—make requests, not demands.
  • Get right to the point, be precise, and present your reasoning clearly.
  • Show flexibility and willingness to negotiate.

All that’s left is to compose your counteroffer letter and wait for a response. Having the exchange documented in writing will ensure that the details are preserved and can be accessed at any time, if necessary.

How to Write a Counteroffer Letter + Template

According to data from Glassdoor, an average employee could be making up to 13% more if they negotiated their salary. Use their advice and write a good salary negotiation counteroffer letter by following these steps:

  • Thank the recruiter for their initial offer.
  • State your concerns and express a desire to discuss matters further.
  • Back up your concerns and present potential negotiation areas.
  • Add a call to action, i. e., the preferred next step: a call, in-person meeting, or response containing a counteroffer.

Here’s a template you can use as a guide to make sure you add all the right information:

March 15, 2022, Elmsford

Cheryl Houston

Head of Human Resources, Buffridge

364 Station Street

Austin, TX 78701

Dear Ms. Houston,

I was very pleased to receive your job offer, and it was a delight to talk to you the other day.

While I believe my expertise perfectly matches what Buffridge is looking for, I have some reservations about the compensation package, which I’d be ready to negotiate.

Buffridge is currently planning a transition to international markets, and I have the knowledge and experience necessary to facilitate that transition. If done well, this is sure to bring a new revenue stream to the company and further strengthen the brand. However, this role comes with extra responsibilities that stretch beyond those of a Head of Sales domestically. For that reason, I believe it would be appropriate to discuss my pay in more detail.

I am very interested in joining your innovative team, and I am confident that we can set up a mutually beneficial working relationship where I can prove within several quarters the profit potential of branching out globally. Please, let me know if there is any room for negotiation, and if so, let’s schedule a call to discuss.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Jacob Moore

Once you’ve sent the letter, prepare for any potential outcomes. Map out your expectations and main negotiation points, and decide what the minimum is you won’t go below. This way, you’ll be ready for the conversation and will be able to make the best decision for your future career.

Counteroffer: Examples and Recommendations

Dissatisfied with the salary or benefits you were offered at your new job? Consider making a counteroffer to your potential employer in a formal letter. Writing an effective counteroffer letter is a simple process that can help you get the job you want for the compensation package you think you deserve.

Fundamentals of counteroffers

A counteroffer is an offer made by a job seeker to an employer in response to an unsatisfactory job offer. Applicants can submit a counter offer to the employer in several ways:

  • Meeting with the employer for personal negotiations.
  • Talk to the employer on the phone.
  • Write a letter with a counter offer.

One of the most common ways to submit a counteroffer is by writing a counteroffer letter, the applicant’s written or electronic response to the employer’s initial job offer. In a counteroffer letter, candidates usually express their continued interest in the position, but state that they wish to change the terms of the original offer.

When to write a counteroffer

Consider writing a counteroffer letter if you are not satisfied with the compensation package your employer originally offers. For example, you can counter-offer if the salary offered is too low for your needs or experience, or if you think the benefit package is missing important benefits, such as enough paid vacation days.

Companies will often consider a counter offer, although they may not accept all (or some) of the requests in the offer. For example, small businesses that typically have a limited budget may reject your offer if they cannot exceed a certain salary range for your position. What’s more, companies of any size can withdraw counteroffers if they are offended or disliked by your request. Because workers in all states (except Montana) are “voluntarily hired,” meaning both employer and employer have the right to terminate a job at any time, employers can legally withdraw a job offer at any time.

If you want to write a counteroffer but don’t know how the company will react, find out how much you are really worth and how the company has treated other candidates in similar situations.

Benefits of writing a counteroffer letter

There are several reasons why a job seeker might want to counteroffer in a letter rather than meeting or calling the employer, including:

  • This can put you at ease: 9The 0033 counteroffer letter is perfect for job seekers who are nervous about face-to-face negotiations.
  • This can play on your writing power: Strong and effective writers are in a better position to write a counteroffer because they can articulate what they want in diplomatic terms.
  • Documenting an exchange is easy: a written conversation also leaves a useful paper trail. In an exchange of letters or emails, any agreed changes will be confirmed in writing.

How to Decide on a Counteroffer

Salary is an important factor to consider when deciding on a counteroffer, specifically how much you need to comfortably meet your needs in the area where you live. But it’s wise to think about the entire compensation package when deciding on a counteroffer. Consider other non-wage compensation changes you may request, such as moving expenses, insurance, signing bonuses, vacation and sick days, and other benefits. You can also list office-specific benefits such as office space, hours, or remote work options.

Find out the average salary of people in the desired position, both internally and nationally, using Salary.com or another online salary calculator. Once you feel valued, you can make a more informed decision about your desired compensation package.

What to include in your counteroffer letter

Make it easier for the employer to consider and accept desired changes to the original offer by stating them in clear terms in an easy to understand format:

  • Subject: Please format your letter in the standard business letter format. Include a headline with information about the employer and your contact information. Send a letter to the employer.
  • Introduction. Begin by highlighting your interest in the company and one or two key reasons why you are the ideal candidate for the job. This will remind the employer why they wanted to hire you and why you deserve the extra money and/or benefits.
  • The body of the letter: in the body you can request a meeting with the employer and tell about the changes you want before the meeting. Or indicate specific changes in the letter itself. If you go the second way, include a short paragraph for each part of the compensation package you want to negotiate. In each paragraph, clearly state the original proposal, your counter-proposal, and why you think the counter-proposal is appropriate. For example, after you list your starting salary and desired salary, explain that their offer was below the national average for the job.
  • Output: Emphasize the validity of your request and reiterate how happy you are to work for the company. You can also invite the employer to meet in person for further discussion, or simply ask the employer to contact you.
  • Subject line: If you are sending a counteroffer email, your name and the reason why you are writing in the format “Your name is a job offer” must be in the subject line of your message.

Tips for writing a counteroffer letter

These tips will help you communicate your expectations effectively to your employer:

  • Give clear reasons, backed by research. You are more likely to get a positive answer if you are clear about why you think you deserve more money or extra benefits. Please describe your desired compensation package in the context of your level of experience, market rates for the position, and local cost of living. Making demands that go way beyond industry norms can make you look like a non-serious candidate.
  • Report other job offers. If you have a competing job offer, pitch it to your employer to encourage them to raise rates and offer a better compensation package to keep you from switching jobs.
  • Highlight your in-demand skills. Having skills that are hard to find in your industry can make you more valuable to employers. Be sure to mention these in-demand skills to strengthen your position and get more money or benefits.
  • State your desires as requests, not demands. Be firm in saying what you want, but don’t use an aggressive tone.
  • Use polite, neutral language. Try to use language that does not betray your emotional state, such as “I would be more comfortable with. ..” rather than “I really need…”. Negotiation.
  • Edit and prove. Carefully edit the letter before sending. Consider having a family member or friend also watch it.

Counter letter offering additional compensation

Dear Ms. Montagne,

Thank you very much for offering me the position of Senior Salesperson at Revelation. This opportunity looks very interesting and I’m sure I’ll find this post useful.

I hope we can discuss adding a 5% commission to my base salary as my 15 years of sales experience and rolodex contacts will allow me to generate additional revenue for the company. Please let me know if we can discuss this before I decide to accept your offer.

Thank you for your attention.

What to Do After Sending a Counteroffer Letter

While you wait for your employer to respond to your offer, think about any deal-breaking terms—the minimum terms you are willing to accept in the counteroffer. Is there a particular salary or set of benefits that you are unwilling to negotiate? Think about how you will react if the counteroffer falls below these conditions.

Be prepared for any reaction from your employer. He or she can respond in one of the following ways:

  • Please meet with you in person to discuss your compensation
  • Accept any or all of your changes
  • Reject some or all requests
  • Make another counteroffer

If the employer rejects your offer or makes another counteroffer, decide whether to accept the counteroffer, submit a new counteroffer, or leave. If you accept a counteroffer, get the new offer in writing so there is no confusion when you start work.

Letter Sample Offer – Business letter

The offer must contain an indication of the main terms of the transaction: name, quantity, quality, prices of goods, terms and conditions of delivery, terms of payment and method of delivery.

An offer can be made as a draft contract, which one party to the transaction sends to the other. Or attach a draft contract to the letter of offer.

The offer requires a response before the deadline specified in it, or without specifying the period in which the party that accepted it agrees, or makes changes and additions to the terms, or refuses to accept the terms of the contract.

JSC SB “P Kazakhstan” has received your application, according to which you refuse from “your management” company, on the basis that N LTD LLP does not comply with the terms of the Agreement.

We remind you that the bank is not a party to the agreement on trust management of your property. As you should be aware, the Trust Management Agreement dated December 13, 2013 was concluded between IE I. K. and N LTD LLP (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement).

In accordance with the terms of clause 3.4.1 of the Agreement, IP I.K. is not entitled to refuse the services of the Trustee before the expiration of the bank loan agreement, which begins in 2018. This condition is imperative and cannot be ignored by you, even if there are any minor violations of the Agreement by the Trustee.

As part of the trust management agreement concluded by the parties, N LTD LLP made a number of inseparable improvements at the facility under management. The total amount of such costs for the facility amounted to about ______ million tenge. In addition, to put the facility into operation, the management company purchased equipment in the amount of ____ million tenge. At the same time, these costs of the management company are not final and do not include lost profits, costs of maintaining the facility, as well as payments on your loan.

It should be noted that your actions aimed at preventing the management company and its partners from fulfilling the terms of the trust management agreement in good faith do not make it possible to continue to carry out business activities at the facility and continue to mutually fulfill contractual obligations.

Based on the foregoing, N LTD offers IE I.K. to terminate the Trust Deed of December 13, 2013 in a pre-trial procedure and compensate for the costs incurred by the Trustee, as well as the lost profit in the amount of _____ tenge.

The expected investment in the construction of the IFC, according to ASTERA experts, will be about 1800 USD/sq.m.

As part of the development of the concept, ASTERA specialists conducted marketing research and financial analysis of the project’s effectiveness, determined the pool of tenants, the format of functions within the project, developed functional zoning and conducted pre-brokerage. In addition, recommendations were made on space-planning solutions, organization of transport and pedestrian flows and parking. According to the concept, the retail component of the project will be a shopping and entertainment complex, focused primarily on the residents of the area and positioned in the middle price segment. The complex is focused on family leisure, and, in addition to shopping galleries, it provides special areas for celebrations and various events. The project will also include a three-star hotel and a B-class business center.

Yuzhnaya Ploshchad multifunctional complex will enter the southern part of the microdistrict, intended for commissioning in the first place, and will become a kind of “gateway” to the commercial real estate zone of the project, which will be developed sequentially from Petergofskoye Highway to the coast of the Gulf of Finland. The project is scheduled for commissioning at the beginning of 2012. According to data for 2008, 82 thousand people lived in the 10-minute transport accessibility zone of the complex, the average annual population growth rate in the 10-minute accessibility zone is 12. 8% – this will ensure a high level of attendance at the shopping and entertainment complex as part of the project.

Currently, the architectural concept of the South Square mixed-use complex is being developed by the British company Chapman Taylor. “The project developer is very attentive not only to the functional content of the project, but to its aesthetic characteristics. The architects were tasked with ensuring a harmonious combination of the external appearance of the project with the surrounding landscape and, at the same time, creating a unique project for the city,” notes Evgenia Vasilyeva, Head of Consulting at ASTERA St.Petersburg.

According to ASTERA specialists, the South Square complex has positive prospects. Olga Zemtsova, head of the project brokerage department, believes that “the adopted concept will allow the project to take a strong position in an empty niche in the south-west of St. Petersburg, and the design and construction of the facility during the crisis, when most projects are suspended or canceled, will completion almost single-handedly. ” “Even if we assume a pessimistic scenario for the development of the economy, the predicted conservative financial results testify to the investment attractiveness of all components of the project,” adds Asya Levneva, Lead Manager for Commercial Real Estate.

January 4 – Isaac Newton Day

Oh how many wonderful discoveries we have
    Prepare enlightenment spirit,
And experience, the son of difficult mistakes,
    And genius, friend of paradoxes,
And chance, God is the inventor. ..
    A.S. Pushkin

English physicist, mathematician, mechanic, astronomer, one of the founders of classical physics Isaac Newton (January 4, 1643) became a truly legendary scientist. It is on January 4, the birthday of the world famous scientist, that Newton’s Day is celebrated. The outstanding scientist dedicated his entire life to science. His ingenious developments – the law of universal gravitation and the three laws of mechanics became the basis of classical mechanics, which were recorded by Newton in the works “Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy”. Possessing a phenomenal mind and logic, Isaac Newton easily understood any of the sciences. He developed differential and integral calculus, advanced the theory of color, formed the key foundations of modern physical optics, and created many theories in mathematics and physics.

The well-known law of universal gravitation brought Newton unprecedented fame. Many scientists and theorists tried to understand the force of gravity, but only Isaac Newton was able to prove and mathematically connect the law of universal gravitation and the laws of planetary motion (Kepler’s laws). It should be noted that it was Newton who was the first to guess about the action of gravity between two different bodies in the Universe – a single force that controls both the motion of a falling apple and the rotation of the Moon around the Earth. As a result, he not only put forward the law of universal gravitation, but also built a mathematical model, which included the law of gravity, the law of motion (aka Newton’s second law) and a system of methods for mathematical research (mathematical analysis).

    Newton’s law of universal gravitation

An interesting fact about the story about an apple falling from a tree, which led Newton to think about the free fall of bodies, is considered true. So S.I. Vavilov in his biography “Isaac Newton” quotes the words of one of Newton’s close acquaintances, Stakley: “After dinner (in London, at Newton’s) the weather was hot; we went into the garden and drank tea under the shade of several apple trees; it was just the two of us. By the way, Sir Isaac told me that he was in exactly the same situation when the idea of gravity first occurred to him. It was caused by the fall of an apple while he sat deep in thought. Why does an apple always fall vertically, he thought to himself, why not to the side, but always towards the center of the Earth. There must be an attractive force in matter, concentrated in the center of the Earth. If matter pulls other matter in this way, then there must be a proportionality to its quantity. Therefore, the apple attracts the Earth in the same way as the Earth pulls the apple. There must therefore be a force, like that which we call gravity, extending throughout the universe.”

Thus, it is thanks to the works of Isaac Newton that the dynamics applicable in the study of the motion of celestial bodies originates. Before the advent of the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, no fundamental amendments to the mathematical model were needed.

The material was prepared on the basis of information from open sources.

How self-isolation during the great plague helped Isaac Newton make the scientific revolution

    • Forbes Life

In earlier eras, even without knowing the exact causes of epidemics, people practiced “social distancing” to avoid infection. In 1665, due to an outbreak of plague, Isaac Newton, who had just completed a course at Trinity College, Cambridge University, was forced to return home to his mother, where he set up several experiments and made important theoretical generalizations. Newton’s biographers will call this period of forced self-isolation “the years of miracles”0067

Against the backdrop of the coronavirus epidemic, some recall the story of how, due to cholera quarantine in Moscow in 1830, the poet Alexander Pushkin was forced to spend three months in the family estate in the village of Boldino. “Boldino Autumn” became the most productive period in his work – the poet completed work on “Eugene Onegin”, “Tales of Belkin” and “Little Tragedies”.

Pushkin was not the only one whose creative genius was reinforced by forced seclusion. In 1665, a plague broke out in England. Classes at Cambridge Trinity College have been suspended and all faculty and students have been quarantined at home for an indefinite period. Among those who left was Isaac Newton, who was in his early 20s. He left the college, taking with him books, records and tools, and went to Woolsthorpe, a family estate in Lincolnshire, located 60 miles northwest of Cambridge. He made his main discoveries (above all, the law of universal gravitation) in a long self-isolation during the “plague years”.

Yes, Isaac Newton had to “work from home” during the pandemic. And he used that time wisely even though he wasn’t yet a sir and didn’t wear a big powdered wig, jokes the Washington Post.

Reproduction of an engraving from a portrait of the English scientist Isaac Newton.

Meanwhile, from 1665 to 1666, the plague wiped out a quarter of the population of London – and became one of the last outbreaks of the “black death” that tormented all of Europe for 400 years. It wasn’t until 200 years later that scientists discovered the bacteria that caused the plague, but even in Newton’s time, without knowing the exact causes of the disease, people practiced “social distancing” to avoid infection.

The period from 1664 to 1666 is described by Newton’s biographers as anni mirabiles in his life. This period, as he himself said, includes a number of his mathematical discoveries, which none of Newton’s contemporaries were capable of. He discovered, in his own terminology, “the method of fluid quantities, or smooth transitions”, known to us as integral calculus, “calculus of derivatives”, that is, differential calculus, and “color theory”.

In forced seclusion, he “began to think about the force of gravity, the action of which extends all the way to the orbit of the moon. ” In addition, he “deduced that the forces holding the planets in their orbits must be inversely proportional to the square of the distances from the centers around which they revolve.” So Newton was on the verge of a great revolution in human thinking, which would later be named after him. He gradually began to reveal the secrets of light and gravity. As he himself remarked in passing, “in those days I was in the prime of my inventive age and devoted more mental attention to mathematics and philosophy than ever after” (P. Ackroyd. “Isaac Newton. Biography.” – Forbes Life ).

Woolsthorpe Manor is associated with a popular legend about an apple that fell on a scientist’s head and “pushed” him into thinking about gravity. But if the fruit that fell on the head lies in the space of folk myth-making, then the very fact of observing the fall of an apple was recorded by at least two different authors. Newton’s biographer and friend William Stuckley tells of their conversation in an apple orchard in 1726 over a cup of tea, then the scientist recalled his thoughts about gravity that arose in a similar situation: “After lunch, the weather was warm, we went out into the garden and drank tea in the shade apple trees.

  • Hiring House Cleaners

Five Questions to Ask Cleaning Pros

Big or small, your project is a significant investment. That’s why we recommend interviewing at least three qualified cleaning professionals before making a hiring decision. Ask the following questions to determine whether a pro is the right fit for your project.

Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?

Some cleaning services will expect you to provide some items like special cleaners for hardwood floors. While this isn’t a deal breaker, it’s important to know before making a hiring decision.

    Do you screen your employees?

Cleaning services have access to your entire home, which makes having trustworthy employees important. Ask your cleaning pro if they screen or do background checks. Avoid companies who don’t prescreen their cleaners.

What happens if something is broken or damaged?

Most cleaning companies will replace or repair any damaged items in your home. Avoid hiring a cleaning service that doesn’t have a repair or replacement plan.

Is there a type of cleaning you won’t do?

Some cleaning pros won’t tackle certain projects. Be sure your pro is able to complete your project before making a hiring decision.

What cleaning schedules do you offer?

Most cleaning pros offer a variety of schedules, including one-time, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Be sure your pro offers the cleaning schedule that works best for you and your family.

    1. How much do house cleaners typically charge?

The average cost to hire a house cleaner is between $25 and $45 per hour, while some home cleaners may be more expensive, there could be cheaper maid options by individuals for less money.

    2. How much are typical house cleaner costs?

The average cost to clean a house is around $180, which is about four hours of work. However, each project is different and costs can range from $100 to $1,000 depending on the size of house and the amount of cleaning needed.

    3. Should house cleaners be certified or licensed?

Not necessarily. Each state has their own requirements for licensing and certifications for companies, but most states don’t require any special training to clean a home. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local house cleaner guidelines.

    4. What questions should I ask a home cleaner?

There are several things to know before hiring a house cleaner to do any work on your home.

      • Do they conduct background checks on employees?

      • Do they have insurance?

      • Do they offer a guarantee?

      • How do they set rates?

Cleaning of apartments after renting out: what is important to consider

Cleaning of apartments after rent is a fairly common service that we provide at Easy Cleaning. And all because such cleaning is not just preferable, but literally necessary for apartments where tenants are periodically replaced.

Renting an apartment involves the wear and tear of furniture and coatings located inside the premises. Cleaning is a real opportunity to extend the life of products, while maintaining their original appearance. In addition, cleaning the premises after renting out apartments allows you to quickly and efficiently eliminate traces of the presence of previous tenants, “refreshing” and preparing the rooms for the arrival of the next tenants.

In this article, we will talk about what is important to consider when ordering cleaning after renting an apartment: types of procedures, their key features and benefits.

Why do you need cleaning after renting an apartment

First of all, it is important to understand why cleaning is needed for rental apartments at all. We have identified several good reasons to order cleaning.

Reducing the cost of depreciation of products and coatings in the apartment. Simply put, extending the life of these products and coatings (furniture, plumbing, decor, flooring, wall coverings, etc.) It is no secret that with proper care, furniture and coatings last longer. Such care should also be provided for ordinary apartments where only one tenant lives permanently. However, when renting an apartment, the wear and tear of furniture and coatings is especially noticeable, so cleaning should be carried out on a regular basis.

Elimination of serious pollution. Unfortunately, not all tenants are ready to take care of other people’s property as carefully as their own. From here, problems often arise in the form of heavily stubborn stains and old pollution. Cleaning and additional options (if necessary) allow you to get rid of even the most serious defects: mold, fungus, stains on textiles and coatings, plaque in the bathroom and kitchen, unpleasant odors.

Preparing the apartment for the arrival of tenants. A well-groomed, tidy, clean apartment on the market will be valued higher, which means that there will be more people willing to make a deal. Cleaning allows you to “refresh” the apartment, preparing it for the arrival of residents, who will certainly appreciate the cleanliness of the premises.

From this we can conclude that cleaning of apartments after rent is necessary not only for future tenants, but also for property owners who want to conclude a better rental deal.

Types of procedures after renting out an apartment in Novosibirsk

In addition to the cleaning itself, additional options may be needed to thoroughly clean surfaces and furniture. We will tell you about the most common services for rental apartments.

Supportive cleaning. A very practical and advantageous offer for those who want to keep the apartment in order during the period of residence of the tenants. It can be said that this is a “prevention” of serious pollution and an opportunity to provide better rental services. Of course, the possibility of performing such a service depends not only on the landlord, but also on the consent of the tenant, as well as the conditions specified in the lease agreement. What is included in the service (key steps):

    Dedusting of surfaces, wet cleaning, garbage removal, cleaning of mirrors;

    Cleaning the kitchen apron, cleaning the countertop, removing surface dirt;

Disinfection of the bathroom, washing of doors and handles.

Read more about maintenance cleaning procedures here.

Spring-cleaning. The best option for cleaning the apartment when changing tenants. In fact, this is the most thorough type of cleaning, which allows you to clean surfaces as much as possible. General cleaning is necessary after the tenants leave in order to eliminate traces of their presence in the apartment. Key procedures included in general cleaning:

    Dry and wet cleaning of ceiling-to-floor coatings, washing skirting boards and cornices, removing dust from appliances and decor items;

    · Disinfection of the bathroom, cleaning of stubborn dirt, cleaning of chrome parts, cleaning of ventilation;

Cleaning the kitchen worktop (including stubborn stains and old greasy deposits), cleaning the hood, wet cleaning equipment (outside).

Read more about the procedures included in the general cleaning, read here.

Dry cleaning of furniture and carpets. An obligatory part of the procedures that allows you to “breathe” new life into textile and leather products. We offer a dry cleaning service. It is convenient, practical and economical, as there is no need to carry furniture to the workshop. Dry cleaning allows you to eliminate almost all types of stains, greasy deposits and unpleasant odors. Both textile and leather furniture can be cleaned. Differences are noticeable only in the technological process of removing pollution. Read more here.

Ozonation. Top procedure for removing unpleasant odors, mold, insects and disinfection of premises. The procedure is absolutely safe and allows you to solve a number of problems at once. We recommend the ozonation service for apartments where there is an unpleasant smell (from food, tobacco, animals, mold). In combination with furniture dry cleaning, this is the best solution for completely freeing the apartment from unnecessary odors. In addition, ozonation allows you to destroy dust mites, which are an acute causative agent of allergies. Read more about the service here.

Additional options. As additional services, depending on the condition of the apartment, you can order:

    · Window cleaning. More often it depends on the season and the current state of the windows. A useful treatment that complements the overall set of treatments and allows more light to enter the premises.

Cleaning of kitchen equipment and appliances inside. You can order the service in addition to general or maintenance cleaning.

    · Balcony cleaning. Necessary for severe contamination of the balcony, the presence of debris, old stains, unpleasant odors.

Cleaning after renting an apartment in Novosibirsk

In the article, we talked about the most popular procedures required for cleaning an apartment after renting. But this list is far from exhaustive. It all depends on the condition of the apartment and the circumstances in which the cleaning takes place. In general, the described services or a combination of them will allow you to clean the premises as much as possible and prepare them for the arrival of the next tenants.
