Working in Busan | Expat Arrivals

Busan houses South Korea’s largest port. This generates much economic activity which in turn has created a healthy job market. Those who don’t enjoy the fast-paced work environment in Seoul often choose to settle in sunny Busan. The job market attracts a wide variety of expat employees from English teachers to marine engineers.

With its laid-back atmosphere, friendly locals and competitive salaries, competition for expat jobs can become fierce.

Job market in Busan

With Busan being a port city, it makes sense that the city’s economy is heavily driven by the port sector. Aside from shipping and logistics, expats can also find employment in the information and communication sector, finance, information technology and education. Busan also hosts several international and multinational companies like Renault and Samsung.

Like in most of South Korea, most jobs available to English-speaking foreigners tend to be focused on teaching English. Expats who want to work in other industries aside from education would have to have a high level of education or be experienced in a highly specialised field.

Many large companies in Busan have a policy that managerial staff must be able to speak English. This makes doing business in Busan easier. That said, Korean society doesn’t necessarily follow the same rules most Westerners may be used to. Expats should do their research and try to keep up with the country’s cultural and social rules they hope to make their work-life successful.

Finding a job in Busan

It’s standard for expats to find a job before relocating, as this is often a necessary condition of receiving a work visa. Korean employers often provide key support, such as helping expats find accommodation and applying for the necessary visas.

Many expats find employment through the various job portals available online. The high number of expats wanting to teach in Korea has resulted in a large number of recruitment companies which organise placements on behalf of schools, of which there are many in Busan.

Work Culture in Busan

Traditional social practices and etiquette still have an important role in South Korean business. If expatriate businesspeople want to be accepted by their colleagues, they need to display an awareness of Korean business practises and a willingness to engage in the social codes that are at the foundation of business culture in South Korea.

There is an elaborate system of hierarchy that imbues business culture in South Korea that is based on position, age, prestige and, to an extent, gender. Saving face is also an important part of business practice and expats should therefore not expect a direct negative answer from Korean people if they can’t help or don’t know. This is done in order to maintain honour and dignity.

Koreans need to be able to trust the people they are doing business with and social relationships are directly linked to business success. For this reason, prospective business partners spend a lot of time getting to know each other.  Dinner invitations, after dinner drinks and karaoke are also likely to feature at some point and should not be turned down.

Teaching English in Busan

Teaching English as a foreign language is by far the most popular form of employment in Busan. Many young English-speaking foreigners move to the city with the hope of saving money, paying off student debt and getting the chance to travel around South-East Asia.

Due to the large number of private English schools (Hagwons) in the city, job opportunities are in abundance, but there are strict rules that go with the job. The E2-visa expats need before they can teach in the country is only available to citizens from certain countries (like the UK, US and South Africa). Applicants need to meet basic requirements and aren’t allowed to have any other form of employment while on this visa. In recent years, the government has been cracking down on foreigners who teach English without the proper visas.

Competition for good schools in Busan is very high. Expats should also be careful of being scammed while looking for a teaching job. For these reasons, expats should ensure they work with a reputable recruiter who will negotiate the best salary and benefits on their behalf.

Different Visas for Work and Travel in South Korea

Once upon a time, the best way to see South Korea was with a regular visitor visa or work visa.

This has changed in the last few years. Korea now has working holiday agreements with several other countries. The result is the H-1 Working Holiday Visa for those who are combining work with travel.

The H-1 visa isn’t available to everyone. Only those between the ages of 18 to 30 from certain countries are eligible, and you have to arrive with a confirmed date of departure. You need to have a clean criminal record, and any dependents have to stay at home.

The H-1 visa has several restrictions and focuses on travel and short term employment as opposed to extended stays.

If you’re from a country that has a visa waiver or a visa-free agreement with South Korea, you can stay in the country as a tourist for 30 to 90 days. You’re permitted to look for work, but if you do find a job, you’ll have to change your official status.

If you want to stay in Korea for more than a year, you need a different visa depending on your nation of origin and the type of work you’re doing.

For example, the standard visa for English teachers is the E-1 Visa, which is specifically for educators. There are other visas for investors, researchers, scientists and their dependent family members.

The Ultimate Guide to Work and Travel in Korea

1. Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)

The most common way to live and work in South Korea to work as an English teacher.

Those planning a whirlwind trip or thinking about gap year activities need to remember that this job usually requires a commitment of at least one year. There are a few exceptions for holiday lessons and summer camps.

As far as qualifications go, you typically need a four-year degree and TESL certification. That shows you’re committed enough to deserve that paid vacation, flight reimbursement and free accommodation that’s included with virtually every teaching contract.

Teaching English is such a lucrative career here that you can choose to live practically anywhere. Work is by no means limited to big cities or transportation hubs. Find a job in a small, historic town in the middle of a forest just as easily as in a chain private school in Seoul or Busan.

The most popular program for teaching abroad is EPIK (English Program in Korea), the official program set up by the Korean government.

There are also plenty of private agencies that will set you up with jobs, such as Adventure Teaching. Check out job boards, such as Dave’s ESL Cafe and Gone2Korea.

2. Other Long-term Employment Opportunities

The foreign job market may be dominated by English teachers, but don’t let that discourage you if ESL isn’t your thing.

There’s a myriad of employment options in Korea with big companies and marketing firms. Samsung and Hyundai are two well-known examples.

These companies are always looking for talented, energetic new graduates. However, these jobs often require fluency in Korean and are concentrated in Seoul. They might include accommodation and travel expenses, but these perks aren’t as common as they are with TESOL contracts.

If you’re already in Korea, you can visit the annual Seoul Job Fair for Foreigners to see what’s available in the current market. The event takes place every September.

Aspiring entrepreneurs who don’t have the language skills but are keen to learn and want to get their foot in the door can come to Korea as volunteers or interns instead.

Once you land in Korea, you can slowly build up your language skills with the help of a tutor. It’s also possible to learn the language independently, with tons of Korean YouTube lessons and native media clips on the FluentU program that will immerse you in Korean.

3. Volunteer Work

Volunteer work in South Korea can include anything from teaching English to underprivileged children, to helping resettle North Korean defectors through art and drama, to working in a feline rescue shelter.  These activities often include a language exchange of some kind, although it’s not an official requirement.

Volunteers are responsible for their own travel expenses, but room and board is usually provided.

If you volunteer by teaching English, you don’t need a degree or a birth certificate from a country where English is the first language as you would if you taught in a school. You don’t need to commit for a whole year or sign a contract.

Rural volunteer opportunities revolve around traditional farming and ecosystem recovery. Farming in South Korea takes on several forms. You can work on a small family farm, at a Montessori school or even at a Buddhist temple. Korea’s the perfect place to WWOOF for the first time!

Sometimes volunteer positions in South Korea don’t involve work at all! Instead, you focus on cultural and language exchange. All you have to do is live with a host family who provides you with room and board. Your best bet for finding such a position is through Workaway.

You can use your free time as you please—explore historic sights, study the language or hang with your host family.

4. Internships in Various Fields

There are numerous types of internships in Korea, but internships are plentiful in a few select fields: environment, hospitality and politics.

Looking for an environmental internship? Check out the Asia Internship Program to find jobs in places like Jeju Island, Bukhansan National Park and Manjanggul Cave. You get professional experience while seeing the most beautiful spots in Korea!

Plenty of internship opportunities are available in the hospitality and the service industry, some on a seasonal basis. The Asia Internship Program can set you up with jobs in restaurants, hotels and more.

Some of this work is only offered at certain times of the year and is more popular in the summer. This is an ideal choice for a working holiday or gap year activity.

Political organizations are always in need of interns to help with marketing, public relations, web development and more. Interested in human rights? Apply for an internship in one of several fields at PSCORE. This is a great way to get involved at a global level.

You may come to Korea for work opportunities.

But you’ll stay for the scenery, technology and friendliness.

Jobs in South Korea for girls | EGO Agency

Have you already used Korean cosmetics? Did you wear a dress with sneakers? Admired pictures of cherry blossoms? So why not go to the homeland of all this – to South Korea?

Work for girls in Korea is a super trend. Hundreds of Slavic girls dream of plunging into the culture of this amazing country and living a real Korean life. And I must say, a lot of people succeed. How? By working on consumption in karaoke bars or clubs in Korea. Although, frankly, “consummation” and “Korea” do not even sound in the same sentence. The format of work here is rather similar to the work of Party Girl. Girls not only communicate with men, but have fun and “light up”. Yes, and earnings are not tied to cocktails. All in all, not a consummation at all. Well, more on that later. By the way, what is consumption in its purest form – read the link.

Now let’s talk about what you need to work as a hostess in Korea. And you need to be an active, cheerful, pretty girl with a good figure. Working as a hostess in Korea does not require girls to know the Korean language, it does not require a work visa or Korean education. All in all, consummation in Korea is the most real and very profitable way to enjoy Korean life. The work of a hostess is very popular here, and the Slavs cause a real delight among the local young “party-goers”.

Most of the vacancies are jobs in Korean karaoke and consummation jobs in Busan clubs. With these jobs, girls get high incomes, luxury apartments (for free) and a few months of cool Korean adventures. Looking ahead, let’s say that apartments for girls in Korea are really luxurious. A cool renovation, cool household appliances, a gorgeous view from the window to the entire metropolis … in general, it’s better to see it once.

HOW WORK IS AT KARAOKE IN KOREA

And we are back to karaoke. Karaoke is an incredibly popular form of entertainment in South Korea. Tired Korean after work – went to karaoke. Wants to spend time with friends – went to karaoke. Corporate party – in karaoke. Well, and so on. Whether a person knows how to sing or not, this is generally the tenth question. He goes and sings. The main advantage of Korean karaoke is that each company has its own private room. That is, with his “magnificent” voice, a singing person does not scare away strangers. We arrived with our company, went into the room, closed the door behind them and that was it. Nobody hears or sees anything. Rumka is a separate room in which one company rests. All karaoke bars are rooms divided into many such rooms. Very humane!

Rumka is equipped with a large screen displaying the lyrics of the song. Well, there’s nothing out of the ordinary here. Although no. Unusual remote. Reminds me more of a calculator. But it’s not hard to deal with it. There is always a remote control in Russian. By the way, the karaoke repertoire is always filled with foreign hits and even Russian-language songs. Girls don’t have to break their tongues in Korean 😀

In addition to the screen, there is a huge sofa with the letter “P” in the room, and a table in the middle. In general, this is all. In such an environment, Koreans rest. And our girls make a pleasant company for everyone who wants “unbridled fun.” Yes, the rest of the Koreans looks exactly like that. They drink a lot, sing, play a wide variety of and sometimes strange games. In short, they come off in full. At the same time, they always remain cultured and, having drunk, as we say “in firewood”, quietly and peacefully stomp home to sleep. Therefore, work in Korea for Russian girls is as convenient as possible. She hung out, had fun, sang, and went to calmly rest.

By the way, if you can sing, you are worthless. In Korea, you will be simply adored. Sing along, sing along, and you don’t even have to play board games and “stand on your head” to cheer up a Korean. Yes, you will also get a good tip. Koreans do not spare money for beautifully singing girls. The attitude towards the singers is always special. Girls catch the “star” very quickly and feel their advantage over hostesses who do not have vocals from the very first days of work.

If you don’t know how to sing, there is no reason to be upset either. Grab the mic and pretend you’re Beyoncé. Loudly, confidently and “with soul”. Believe me, Koreans will like this no less than professional singing. Oh yes! The fact that all Koreans sing well is a blatant lie. Not everyone here has a hearing and a voice. Therefore, there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Girls in South Korea make money from hours spent with guests in a karaoke room. I sat for two hours – received $ 18. Two hours is called chois here. One choice is the minimum that a girl can work with one company. Choices per shift can be a maximum of five. We take a calculator. We consider. It turns out that in addition to the rate that each girl has, one shift brings about $ 100 additionally. Such a payment system is convenient because girls do not have to drink alcohol at all. Their earnings do not depend on the number of orders at all. Guests simply come to karaoke, set the table, immediately with the expectation of hostesses, and that’s it. The girl can take whatever she wants from the table. The concept of “treats” is completely absent here. If you want, you can eat. If you don’t want to, don’t eat.

By the way, the hostess never works alone in the room. A company of Koreans always invites several hostesses with them. According to the reviews of girls working in Korea, this helps a lot in their work. Calm, fun and much easier than if you had to stay alone in the bag.

It is not necessary to get acquainted with the guests first. The girls sit in the common room, communicate with each other, stick to the social. networks, listening to music. Conditions are created as comfortable as possible for girls. When a company arrives, the administrator invites all karaoke hostesses. The girls line up and the men choose who to call with them into the bag. We chose and went to rest. The girls who were not invited to the room return to their idleness.

Do I need to know the language to work in Korea? – Koreans are well aware of the gap between Russian and Korean. Therefore, no one expects girls to speak their language. But! If a girl learns a couple of phrases and can at least say something in Korean, there will be no limit to the delight of bar visitors. No, really. Little things like that make them happy. Koreans know English, but with varying degrees of success. There are visitors in bars who speak English fluently, there are those who cannot even connect three words. Therefore, working in Korea for Russian girls does not require knowledge of the language. The base of English is. Introduce yourself, ask how you are doing – already good. In general, communication in Korea takes place in some kind of game form. For mutual understanding, gestures, facial expressions and emotions are quite enough. Read more details about working in South Korea for girls in a large overview of vacancies in Korea.

THERE IS DIFFERENT KARAOKE

In South Korea, establishments are usually divided by status. The best, safest, major – type “A” establishments. You can get into them only through a major agency. Private scouts, as a rule, do not even know that bars are divided into types. Yes, and they don’t care. What difference does it make to him where the girl goes. Sent and forgot. I got into a brothel, ran away from the contract – well, figs with her. The next one will stay. Scouting is about quantity. The more flow, the better. Everything else is generally on the drum.

Although. In truth, it’s not just scouts who “sin” like this. Most agencies also cooperate with type “B” establishments (at best, and even with bars of type “C” or “D”), but pass them off as type “A”, deceiving their clients. Agencies and scouts either don’t know that it’s only safe in Type A establishments, or they know but don’t have access to good bars. Well, they just lie to their clients. It is easy to verify this by reading reviews of work in Korea on the Internet.

Why are places with the letters “B, C, D” bad? Well, if it’s quite simple, these are second-rate bars in which there are no guarantees that the work will be without sex. It’s best not to go to places like this. Let’s take a closer look.

Type “D” – the most frank brothels. Here they do not bother trying to disguise the services of the institution. Everything is simple. There is a “product” there is a price.

Type “C” – in such bars they “cover” with a cocktail system. Girls can work as ordinary hostesses, making money on cocktails, but you need to be very careful. After a certain number of cocktails, it is assumed that the man has already spent enough and is entitled to a reward. Naturally, coming to such a bar, a man is waiting for intimate services. Even if a girl manages to work without intimacy, being in such an institution is extremely unpleasant morally. The attitude towards girls in these establishments corresponds to the level of a brothel. Those “hostesses” who work nearby behave vulgarly and simply sell themselves. Decent girls are contraindicated to get into such establishments.

Type “B” are just “low grade” bars. Poor men come here, who believe that all Slav women come to work as prostitutes. They do not hesitate to offer girls money for sex. And those who want to earn more – agree. It is humiliating to hear such proposals, and it is unpleasant to watch the whole situation.

EGO agency cooperates only with establishments of type “A” . The agency signs a contract with each girl that has legal weight. In addition, the activities of EGO are absolutely legal. This is confirmed by a license issued by the state. Therefore, the information that EGO agency places on the site is 100% true. In general, flying away from the agency, the girls are guaranteed to get into good establishments, with decent, rich visitors. From their clients, the EGO team always receives the most positive feedback about working in South Korea.

So, if girls sing, have fun and fool around in karaoke bars, then in the clubs of Busan you can find the classic system of working on consummation. Here the girls work in big trendy clubs, get a percentage for every cocktail bought by a guest and hang out on big dance floors. The system in Busan is designed so that girls can work actively. Well, that is how, by default, the work is passive. Girls should sit and wait for the first man to come up and offer to meet. But in practice, girls work actively. The first to approach, get acquainted, offer a drink. It has been proven over the years – the more active the girl, the higher her earnings. All hostesses here have a fixed rate. And, among other things, Busan is famous for its good beaches. It’s always nice to work by the sea 😉

PICKUPS IN THE WORK OF GIRLS IN SOUTH KOREA

In their feedback about work in South Korea, girls sometimes mention one drawback – “tachi”. Let’s say culturally – Koreans love to cuddle. For them, touching a girl is a way of expressing their sympathy. They are generally funny and spontaneous, like children. Therefore, naively blinking their eyes, they try to touch the girls with genuine delight.

Our hostesses have long understood how to deal with this. They just don’t stop for a second. They dance, jump, sing, pour drinks, in short, they imitate a perpetual motion machine. Poor Koreans do not even have the opportunity to “flirt” with girls. Moreover. From such “lighters” Koreans are simply delighted. An active girl gets two and one. And adoration from visitors and the format of “touchy”.

By the way, in the clubs of Busan, the problem of “tachs” does not arise at all. Everything is in plain sight here. Both hostesses and men relax in a large common room. And in front of outsiders, it is not customary for Koreans to show “feelings”. Therefore, everyone here behaves very decently.

In general, what our people perceive as “obtrusiveness” is the norm for Koreans. Well, imagine you are walking along the narrow streets full of advertising. You photograph everything. Each showcase is of interest to you. I don’t want to hide my camera phone. And the Koreans run up, grab your hands and ask you to take a picture with you. For what? Why? Yes, because their Slavic appearance “blows the roof. ” Here they are, with all their spontaneity, and “stick” to all the Slavs in a row. Our girls get used to Korean obsession very quickly. They get used to it and even begin to get high from it. The feeling of a super star appears.

Girls successfully use the general enthusiasm of Koreans by going out for “PR”. Frankly, this is the duty that girls do not really like to perform. Fortunately, this does not have to be done often and not for a long time. What is PR? This is when hostesses walk around the area in which the bar is located and distribute a “set” to passer-by men – candy and a bar business card. Thus, the girls invite visitors to the institution. This process takes approximately 40 minutes. After that, the girls go to another area and distribute invitations there for another 20 minutes. Only one hostess goes to the PR campaign per day. Therefore, this has to be done infrequently. However, Koreans react affably and joyfully to such things. So there is nothing to fear here.

IS CONSUMATION IN KOREA EXACTLY WITHOUT INTIMACY?

EGO agency employs girls in Korea exclusively for vacancies without intimacy. The agency works officially, with a license. EGO activities are monitored by government agencies. Therefore, the agency simply does not have the right to send the girl to where there is even the slightest risk. Honestly, none of the large EGO team wants to go to jail. Therefore, each girl from the agency flies to 100% safe establishments.

The agency signs a contract with each girl. This is a document that bears the EGO seal, the signature of the head, and most importantly, it is a contract that has legal weight. Everything that is written in the contract is carried out with a 100% guarantee.

Since EGO agency works only with the best establishments in Korea, only with “A” type bars, the girls do not run the risk of getting into an unpleasant environment or bad conditions at all. Even more – in institutions of type “A” sex is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. If the bar management finds out that the girl has entered into a relationship with a karaoke visitor, she is immediately fired. Good bars value their reputation and do not allow rumors about “affordable” girls to spread about them. The fact is that if suddenly cases of intimate relationships between girls and men begin to “slip” in karaoke, the institution accordingly “falls” to a lower level. The public is becoming less wealthy, in short, the bar is “rolling down” the social ladder. In general, the main idea is that girls in Type A karaoke bars are not allowed to have personal relationships with guests.

Agency guarantees, combined with the system of work in Korea, provide girls with 100% honest work without intimacy.

WHICH GIRLS ARE POPULAR IN KARAOKE AND CLUBS IN SOUTH KOREA?

It must be said that not every girl can go to Korea. Here their ideals of beauty, their specific tastes. Therefore, tall, big-mouthed girls with extended eyelashes, bright eyebrows and large breasts may not consider South Korea. Well, the Koreans won’t like them. Here, small, thin, cute girls, with doll faces, cause delight. In addition, Koreans are infantile. Well, really like children! Therefore, they also want to see girls who are cheerful, naive, who love to fool around. “Glamour and pathos” is of no interest to anyone here. For this reason, experienced hostesses who have traveled all over the world rarely “take root” in Korea. But for girls who are in love with Korean culture, young and hyper-active, the country of morning freshness is an ideal option. By the way, she perfectly “comes in” as the first contract.

IS IT DIFFICULT TO CROSS THE BORDER IN SOUTH KOREA? Unfortunately. After all, you can read any kind of crap, but there is no guarantee that everything written is true. How to distinguish fakes from the truth we read in the article “Reviews on the work of girls abroad – where is the truth and where is the fake?”.

Studying reviews about work in South Korea on the Internet, one can find sharply negative stories of girls that they were not allowed into the country. Arrived, got off the plane, did not pass control, flew back. The stories are hurtful. Sorry girls. And the saddest thing is that it was very easy to avoid such a stupid situation. It is enough to choose the right one from whom to fly to the contract and such problems are not terrible.

Yes, crossing the Korean border is not easy. Girls fly here on a tourist visa. Russians generally lafa – there is a visa-free regime. By the way, those girls who live in cities geographically close to Korea (Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk) are fully paid for flights. For Russian women from other cities, they pay 50% of the cost of the flight. Ukrainians and Belarusians are paid 100% of the cost of flights. An agency helps to make a tourist visa. Well, to be precise, EGO agency completely makes the visa, without the personal participation of the girl.

So. We return to the passage of the border. They prefer not to let young and beautiful Slav women into the country, suspecting that they are flying to work. But for many years, EGO has worked out an ideal scheme for passing the Korean border. The agency gives a 100% guarantee of entry into the country to their girls. Of course, if they promise to follow all the instructions.

In general, the managers of the agency “from A to Z” prepare the girls for the contract. They tell not only how to successfully cross the border, but also what to take with you, how to work, where to go, what to bring to relatives, what food to buy, and what is better not to try. In short, the girl flies to South Korea for the first time in her life, and her idea of \u200b\u200bwork is so complete, as if she had been here many times.

I WANT TO WORK IN KOREA – WHY DO I NEED EGO AGENCY?

Do I need an agency for employment abroad? Why apply to EGO? After all, there are millions of job offers in Korea in addition to the agency. On the forums, dozens of girls write “I’m flying for a contract, I’m looking for a partner,” and in the social. networks, scouts are the first to “attack” by offering jobs. Everything you need to know about such offers is described in the article “5 reasons to fly for a contract from a large agency.” Be sure to read it. Let’s say it briefly here. By agreeing to fly abroad from people who have no reputation, obligations and legal weight, you are putting your life in danger.

EGO agency sets the main task of its work – to ensure the safety of girls.

The agency categorically does not accept jobs related to intimacy. EGO will never offer its girls a job in a “dubious” institution, not to mention frank brothels. EGO agency never undertakes to employ prostitutes. Yes, they contact the agency regularly. But EGO does not provide services for their employment. Our “niche” is an honest job for decent girls.

The agency provides so much information that a girl who has never worked in Korea has the most complete picture of this country and this work. So that she does not have a single incomprehensible nuance already at the stage of preparation for the contract. Flying away to work from EGO agency, the girl is absolutely insured against any surprises. All the conditions, all the nuances are not just promises in words. These are the obligations of the employer in relation to the girl prescribed in the contract.

Giving girls 100% of information, EGO gets the best clients. Everyone who flies away from the agency for a contract is a girl who has made a conscious decision. Not the one who was hung noodles on the ears, but the one that absolutely clearly represents all the work. Accordingly, EGO clients have no problems upon arrival at the contract. Calls with tantrums in the agency simply do not happen. Why? Yes, because EGO does not deceive anyone’s expectations. If there are luxury apartments in Korea, we are talking about it. If Koreans are lovers of “groping” girls – well, what to hide! All the pros and cons of working with us are always voiced. All conditions are always selected in the most careful way. In our understanding, sending girls to unprofitable bad contracts is a crime. And in general, the agency always relies on regular customers. Our girls always come to us for the second, third contract, and travel the world with the help of EGO for years. In addition, the agency always stays in touch with the girls, right up to the last day of the contract. This provides the girls with confidence in safety, that any issue will be resolved, and in general, every girl with EGO knows that no matter what happens, she has someone to count on.

In general, girls, take care of your safety and choose reliable partners.

FEEDBACK OF GIRLS ABOUT WORK IN KOREA

EGO agency is always in touch with its hostesses. Managers help the girls with recommendations, advice, and also resolve issues if it is suddenly necessary. But girls also help EGO agency. They are the most reliable source of information for the agency. Managers constantly receive more and more new reviews about consummation in Korea and other countries, learn such nuances that only a hostess working on a contract can report, and share all the information received with the agency’s clients.

For example, according to girls in South Korea, you should definitely take bed linen with you. He is not here. In general, Korea has a very peculiar culture of sleep. Koreans don’t have beds. SAN ANTONIO – A new list that ranks the best public elementary schools in the San Antonio area has been released for 2023.

The list was curated by Niche, a data analytics company that conducts reviews and surveys to determine rankings for educational institutions like public schools, private schools and school districts.

Here is Niche’s list of the top 10 elementary schools in the San Antonio area by rank:

  • BASIS San Antonio Primary – Medical Center Campus

Racial and economic diversity and survey responses on school culture and diversity from students and parents were also factored into the rankings.

Teacher salary, teacher absenteeism and survey responses on teachers from students and parents were also considered.

As promised, let’s move on to education. I will tell you in detail about Texas, because here I took courses, but I will give a link where you can see colleges and universities in other states. Higher education

A higher education is required for the profession of a hotel manager. If higher education is non-core, it is necessary to complete special courses for directors who manage the hotel business. Large hotel chains require compulsory specialized higher education in the field of hotel business.

More than 30 educational institutions in Moscow provide training in hotel business, among which the most serious training can be obtained in the following universities:

Clients are sent abroad for internships – to France, Turkey, Cyprus and Malta, where graduates master Western technologies of running a hotel business, a foreign language at the proper level. Salary information provided by the hh.ru portal.

Russia 40000-150000₽

Moscow 50000-100000₽

The remuneration of a hotel manager depends on the country, status and star rating of the hotel, belonging to the hotel chain, number of rooms, experience of the director himself. So, for example, the difference in salary between the directors of 3* and 5* hotels can be large, or it can be almost the same if a 3* hotel complex has more rooms than a 5* small hotel due to additional bonuses from the number of potential customers.

In Russia, hotels belonging to the international chains of hotels Radisson, Kempinski, Marriott, Marco Polo, Le Meridien, Sheraton, etc., accept qualified personnel with knowledge of languages, special education and Western style of work as directors.

Career steps and prospects

The hotel manager is the highest level in a hotel business career. The next career step can be a hotel chain manager or co-owner, and then the owner of a hotel chain or a separate hotel.

Interesting facts

Hotel guest whims:

A guest of the Greek hotel Honeymoon Petra Villas requested a room in which the rays at sunset would fall into the room at an angle of 45⁰ relative to the right side of the window.

Another unusual behavior was shown by a hotel guest who, in the heat of the day, asked for rain.

One of the guests of the Irish hotel asked the administration to provide him with a very unusual service: to organize a golf game on the local glacier. However, after the man played enough (i.e. passed 3 holes), unusual requests continued: he demanded to be taken back to the hotel in a private helicopter.

A hotel guest forgot his medicine in the room. Only on the plane, remembering him, the man called the administrator and asked to deliver this medicine to him home. Which is what was done.

It is not uncommon for concierges to make purchases for hotel guests. And, as it turns out, there are times when they have to choose and buy a house. So, one of the hotel guests trusted the choice of the concierge that he did not even look at the building before making a purchase.

In a London hotel, a man asked to be served in the hotel restaurant by girls with obvious facial hair. The hotel staff, in order to fulfill a stupid request, pasted mustaches and beards on the waitresses, the maid and the administrator.

Responsibility In The Workplace

This is the second entry in my Virtues and Values in the Workplace series.

Responsibility – In The Workplace

What is it?

Responsibility is the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something; a duty or task that you are required or expected to perform; something you should do because it is morally right, legally required, etc; reliability, dependability.

In the workplace, responsibility is required in many areas—job duties, corporate guidelines, security, privacy, etc. All of them are slightly different, but they all center around you knowing and following guidelines and being accountable for your actions. Frequently your responsibilities, as they pertain to you fulfilling the duties of your job, are outlined for you in a document saved somewhere on a server that occasionally gets updated. But personal responsibility is not always so neatly outlined.

Responsibility can be thought of as the way you respond to a certain situation. In any given situation, how you respond is your choice. The accountability aspect of responsibility means you take ownership of the outcome of those choices – good or bad. If things go well, hooray, if things go bad, boohoo, and if nothing really happens, well, c’est la vie. When you conduct yourself with personal responsibility and accountability, you build integrity, and with integrity comes trust and respect—both internally and externally. Strong character breeds strong results.

Why is Responsibility important in the workplace?

Responsibility drives business results. Responsible workers are more engaged and hold themselves accountable to deliver results. Responsible leaders create environments which cultivate high performance teams which in turn deliver business results. Leaders who cultivate responsibility within their teams will see returns in the form of more engaged team members actively looking for ways to deliver stronger results.

Workplace responsibility, as in executing your job duties or following HR guidelines, is important because it leads to a functioning business and a safe and compliant working environment.

Personal responsibility in the workplace is important because it is a major component of your personal character that gets tested every day. Every choice you make shows the world an image of the kind of person you are. Over time, those images layer together and the resulting composite is your character as perceived by others. How you shape that character is up to you, and you do it slowly, over time, through your thoughts and actions. When your actions are guided by strong ethics, morals and beliefs you lay the foundation upon which strong personal character is built.

Doing your job and how you do your job are two different things, and personal responsibility is the differentiator. As a worker, fulfilling your job duties is one thing, but investing yourself in your work and and holding yourself accountable to deliver your best results transforms the work you do and how your performance is perceived. As a leader, make it your personal responsibility to connect with, motivate, and inspire your team. Hold yourself accountable to go the extra mile and to lead by example. Holding yourself personally responsible to the highest of standards of leadership elevates your personal and professional results. If you do not view yourself as a leader, consider then, who is leading your life. Each of us leads in some way or another. Personal responsibility is the catalyst which transforms an average leader into a strong motivational force.

How can I practice Responsibility in the workplace?

You can practice responsibility every day by thinking about your actions and responses and taking accountability for the consequences of your choices – good or bad. Being responsible is not always enjoyable, and it’s not always easy. Workplace responsibility is usually a condition of employment, but personal responsibility is a choice. Make it a habit to make choices that align with your core values.

Responsibility is a skill that you learn and hone by practicing. Here are some ways to practice being personally responsible in the workplace:

  • Know your job, do it, and do it well. Sounds simple but this goes a long way in showing a base level of responsibility.
  • Consider your choices when responding: do you have a corporate obligation or responsibility to act a certain way? If the choice you are making draws upon personal ethics, choose in ways that promote the development of your personal character.
  • As a business leader, look for ways to inspire your team to take personal responsibility in their roles.
  • Be willing to make difficult decisions even when the “right” choice is not the “easy” choice.

Make a personal list of the reasons why you do what you do, for your eyes only. Draw inspiration from your list throughout the day and use it as motivation to give your best performance both personally and professionally. (And if your reasons no longer inspire you, it may be time to ask yourself some different questions.)

Quotes

“One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes…and the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt

“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.” ~John F. Kennedy

“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.” ~Jim Rohn

“Leadership – leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses.” ~Mitt Romney

“If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams.” ~Les Brown

What Does It Mean to Take Responsibility for Your Actions At Work?

Today’s workplace is arguably more interconnected than ever. What you do may not only affect your own productivity, performance, and success, but your coworkers, teammates, bosses, customers, and so forth. For this reason, it is imperative that you take responsibility for your actions and maintain a high level of personal accountability even in the face of failure.

Is it easy to do? Of course not.

Is it worth it? Absolutely.

In the following article, you will find what it means to take responsibility for your actions, examples of taking responsibility at work, and the key factors that impact one’s likelihood of doing so.

What Does It Mean To Take Responsibility for Your Actions?

Taking responsibility for your actions requires the realization that you play a part in every situation or experience and, therefore, have some degree of responsibility over the outcomes or consequences. You may have heard it referred to as accountability. It means that your first reaction when a mistake is made or a conflict arises isn’t to blame others, make excuses, twist the facts, or flat-out lie. Instead, you swiftly acknowledge there is a problem, identify your role in it, and implement an action plan to minimize (or entirely eliminate) the chances of it happening again.

Examples of Taking Responsibility for Your Actions

As one Forbes author pointed out, someone who takes responsibility for their actions is an accountable individual. Here is what that may look like in action on the job:

  • You recognize and own up to your part of what is occurring
  • If your message is hurtful to someone, you are willing to examine how your communication may have been damaging
  • You don’t blame others when you’re at fault
  • You don’t make excuses for why things are happening
  • You don’t pawn off all the responsibility (or all the failure) onto your team or subordinate
  • If you continually miss deadlines or essential project parameters, you don’t pretend that it is all out of your control
  • If your employee or team is failing, you don’t stick your head in the sand and stay in denial – you proactively do something about it
  • If your relationships are faltering, you’re open to seeing how you’re contributing to (and even exacerbating) the challenges and conflict

What Makes Someone Take Responsibility for Their Actions?

As Martin Luther King Jr. stated in a 1953 radio address, “One of the most common tendencies of human nature is that of placing responsibility on some external agency for mistakes we have made. We are forever attempting to find some scapegoat on which we cast responsibility for our actions.”

So, what exactly would make someone take responsibility for their actions at work? In an article for Berkley’s Greater Good Magazine that cross-referenced a number of studies, it was found that “when you believe that your behavior can change, you are more likely to be willing to admit responsibility. A big reason why you are able to admit fault is that you recognize that once you admit what you have done wrong, you can work to make it better, and so you are not threatened by admitting mistakes. People who do not believe that they can change are stressed by admitting their mistakes because they believe that those mistakes say something fundamental about who they are as a person.”

This highlights the importance of non-judgemental team culture and a relationship of trust with one’s direct leader when it comes to taking responsibility for your actions. If those things do not exist, it is not surprising that you are stressed, anxious, or fearful of taking responsibility for your actions as you assume ridicule, hostility, or even disciplinary action will follow. On the other hand, when your team’s culture is non-judgemental and everyone, including your leader, has your best interests at heart, taking responsibility for your actions actually becomes a valuable learning experience that you can move on from.

Conclusion

It is never easy to take responsibility for your actions, especially when those actions have consequences. But rest assured; it is worth it! As the bestselling author John C. Maxwell once said, “People who blame others for their failures never overcome them. They simply move from problem to problem. To reach your potential, you must continually improve yourself, and you can’t do that if you don’t take responsibility for your actions and learn from your mistakes.”

Responsibility and work

What is responsibility?

Most dictionaries define the word “responsibility” as derived from the word “responsible”.

In many of them you can see something like:

Responsibility for the consequences of actions taken; opportunity to be punished for poor performance. activities.

That is, responsibility is when you can be punished for bad results. And many people perceive and understand responsibility in this way. There is nothing surprising in the fact that someone would not want to take responsibility – who would like to be punished. nine0005

But in fact, as we will see in the examples below, this is a wrong definition and responsibility has little to do with punishments.

Here is a more correct definition from another dictionary:

Responsible: vested with rights and obligations in carrying out any activity, in; business management.

Responsible: Having a highly developed sense of duty, jealous of his duties.

It turns out that responsibility is the existence of rights and obligations in relation to any activity, in relation to the management of affairs, as well as the sense of duty and jealous attitude associated with them. nine0005

Responsibility is the ability to do something in relation to some area, to be the cause of events occurring in it .

It’s very simple. Sasha plays football. He has the ball now, he wants to score it into the goal. He can do various things with the ball. He must follow the rules of the game. He can create different events with this ball. He is in charge of the ball. He can win.

Being responsible is much more profitable. nine0039

Irresponsibility

Here is the usual picture: Alexander has a job. He is a lawyer in a medium-sized company, say, about a hundred people.

The company sells office furniture. Alexander’s functions are drawing up contracts with companies that buy furniture from them and with suppliers, checking ready-made contracts and drafting official documents on controversial issues.

Let’s look at what duties look like from his point of view:

  • Be at work at 9:00
  • Leave the workplace at 18:00
  • Be at the workplace during working hours with a lunch break
  • Draw up or edit a contract when the boss asks for it
  • Write official letters when the boss asks for it

Alexander is responsible for these things.

He is convinced that it is for them that he is paid money. He is convinced that this is all he has to do to get paid and have a job. nine0005

In the company where Alexander works, of course, there are other departments and other people.

Let’s imagine that the sales department is having some difficulties. For some reason, furniture has been selling badly for the last six months. Revenue decreased by as much as 30%. The company is thinking about saving and even reducing staff.

Look again at what Alexander thinks he is responsible for. There is no mention of a sales department on this list, right? nine0039

One day the printer broke down in the office where Alexander works. This seriously interferes with his work – he cannot print the letters and contracts that he needs.

But in the list of things he is responsible for, there is nothing related to office equipment. What do you think Alexander will do? The biggest thing is to express dissatisfaction with someone.

Well, do you think our hero has enough responsibility to ensure that he is sure that he will continue to have a job and receive a salary? nine0005

He seems to have no effect on many things. And these things may well affect him.

Responsibility and control

Responsibility is closely related to control.

Control is the ability to influence, consciously and purposefully do something, give orders.

If a person believes that some area has nothing to do with him, then he, of course, cannot control it. nine0005

If someone is sure that he is not responsible for his shoes in any way, most likely they will be dirty. If he is responsible for them, he will clean them up.

Of course, someone else can clean his shoes. Or he will be lucky and the weather will be fine all the time.

If a person believes that his duties and rights extend to some area, he can control it.

When Petya is responsible for his cat, he can feed him, call him, take him somewhere. If Petya is not responsible for his cat, the cat may go somewhere and Petya will no longer be able to even pet him. nine0005

Area of responsibility

It turns out that having more responsibility is beneficial?

Let’s look at the examples with Alexander again.

What if he believed that he was responsible not only for his own work, but for the work of other people, other departments, the products that the company produces and how things are going in general?

Sales are not his responsibility. But he can influence them. If he does his job not just as his boss asks him to do, but also in a way that brings more value to customers, customers will be happier, and he will help sales, right? nine0005

He sees that one of the shop assistants has come in with a wrinkled shirt, and he just friendly advises him to iron the shirts. Sales a little, but will improve.

And he has some life experience and common sense, and he can always give good advice to the sales department. Give a discount to a large customer to get a better order, and so on.

It’s not his job, but if sales get better, his business will get better too. The company will have more money to pay him a salary. nine0005

If a printer breaks down in the office, then, of course, Alexandra should not repair it. But will someone object if he does something about it? He will call the masters, ask the employee who should be doing this to fix it. Perhaps no one will mind if he fixes it himself.

Taking responsibility for a large area does not mean doing all the work for everyone. But this means being ready to do things so that things go better in the region.

Do you think that with this approach, would something have changed for Alexander? And for his company? What would happen if all employees of a company took responsibility for the entire company? nine0005

What can be done right now?

Look at where you work and what you do.

  1. Write the things you feel responsible for now
  2. Write the things you would like to be responsible for?
  3. Write what you could do to take responsibility for these areas

You don’t have to go and do them all tomorrow.

But if you were just willing to do them, how would your work change? And how would your life change? nine0005

Cooperation | KURUMOCH — International Airport

Kurumoch International Airport offers to use our air transportation services, and also invites all airlines to cooperation.
Today, Kurumoch International Airport is the largest airport in the Volga region. It is located 30 km from the city of Samara, near the most industrialized and densely populated cities not only in the Samara region, but also in the entire Volga Federal District, which has a population of over 11 million people. Kurumoch is one of the ten leading airports in Russia, occupying far from the last positions there.
Our airport is a federal airport, which is located at the intersection of major transport routes, has a developed infrastructure and is considered as a hub airport (the so-called hub) in the core airport network of Russia.
It is worth noting that since 2000, this airport was the first in Russia to introduce SNS (satellite navigation systems) and VZP (visual approach) approach procedures. A system of information and advisory services for crews of the “Integrated briefing” type was also put into operation, in full and in accordance with the requirements of the main regulatory documents of ICAO.
A multi-level modern security system has been created at Kurumoch International Airport using innovative methods and technologies. This system includes the screening of passengers, mail, baggage, in-flight meals, the aircraft cabin, security of the entire territory of the airport, as well as the territories adjacent to it, security of buildings and structures, airfield equipment and vehicles. The airport terminals are equipped with modern screening equipment of the 5th generation. The aviation security service is fully equipped with the necessary means of screening, radio communication, and there is a video surveillance system for the airport terminal, business terminal, as well as arrival terminals and the airport perimeter as part of the integrated security system of the airport complex. All this gives the airport complex a high level of professional protection, reliable guarantees for the safety of passengers and high-quality monitoring of the state of the continuous tracking system.
It is especially important that our airport keeps pace with the times and actively introduces the latest developments of the information technology complex into its work. Kurumoch Airport actively uses the latest technologies, such as the Aeroport production process management information system, automated passenger check-in and baggage check-in systems, a biometric control system for serving frequent flyers, and a number of others.
Currently, Kurumoch International Airport is developing dynamically and is actively implementing a large-scale project for the reconstruction and modernization of the entire airport complex. Without any doubt, it can be noted that today’s pace of modernization is one of the most significant in the history of the enterprise.
The airport operates 24 hours a day with two runways of 3001m and 2548m, located almost perpendicular to each other and equipped with modern ICAO Category I instrument landing systems (ILS) in three directions of approach. The airport has parking spaces for the simultaneous parking of 50 aircraft, a terminal system with a total area of 11,340 sq. m, as well as a cargo complex with a throughput capacity of up to 200 tons per day.

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Summerfields KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Frequently Asked Questions

What accreditations does KinderCare have?

We are your trusted caregiver. Our centers are state-licensed and regularly inspected to make sure
everything meets or exceeds standards, including child-to-teacher ratios and safe facilities. Our
centers aren’t just licensed—most are accredited, too! Find out more.

Do you offer part-time schedules at Summerfields KinderCare?

Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time
childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.

Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing
bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in
their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Do you support alternative diets?

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime,
take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food
sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet
learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest,
we’ll discuss how to work
together to encourage toilet learning.

How does naptime work at Summerfields KinderCare?

Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap.
In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on “10
Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap” to learn more.

Is tuition support offered for Texas families at KinderCare?

Child care is one of the biggest priorities—and expenses—for hardworking families like yours. We partner with state and local agencies in Texas to provide tuition subsidies where we can, including these agencies below:

  • Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas
  • Workforce Solutions Tarrant County
  • Workforce Solutions North Central Texas

There may be other available funding sources for families living in Fort Worth, Texas and we have subsidy coordinators standing by that can discuss potential solutions for your family. Even if you are not subsidy eligible there may be other options in Tarrant County to help with tuition.

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • I wanted to thank you all so much for being apart of our family’s life. The KinderCare at Basswood has been like our extended family since my son has been three months old. The faculty has always shown a sincere, caring, and active involvement in my son’s learning development and has provided him with programs to help engage his own learning successes. He has been involved in the music program, phonics program, and Kelsey’s math program.

My son began the music program at the age of three and now shows a great interest in and appreciation for music. The music program not only taught him that music is a fun way to learn and enjoy time with others, but also gave him the skills for recalling and recognition as well as hand and eye coordination. In addition to the music program, my son started the phonics program. He knew his alphabet when he started the program, because of the alphabet song, but the phonics program gave him the skills to begin identifying letters and words that started with those letters. He is currently in the 4-year-old classroom and is continuing the phonics program. This program grows with each individual and has the one-on-one involvement that a new learner needs. Just last week, he began to read on his own! We were so elated to see his hard work with phonics has paid off. He was truly excited. Though he knows it can be hard, he enjoys reading and you can see when he sounds out the word and is successful that it was all worth it.

Beginning this year in the 4-year-old classroom, he started the Kelsey math program and absolutely loves it. Instantaneously, he began coming home and you could see that he was picking up the things he learned in the math program, from the basic counting skills to more of the complex skills, such as identifying patterns, sequences, and grouping, just to name a few. He has not only benefited from the programs but has had fun in the process. Accolades go out to the faculty that work with the students in these special programs at KinderCare. They truly have given him the skills to be successful as he continues his academic journey through education. Lastly, he truly enjoys the staff at KinderCare at Basswood. The faculty supports him in all his strides to become a young learner and encourages him on a daily basis in a loving, structured environment. Our family is truly grateful and appreciative for the care, curriculum, and consistency that KinderCare at Basswood has provided.

OUR MISSION

OUR CURRICULUM

NAEYC accreditation

MCCYN/Child Care Aware

Contact Mindy Samples, Early Education Center Director

The mission of the Early Education Center’s preschool is to offer a developmentally appropriate educational experience for infants and early childhood aged children in a weekday church school setting. Learning activities will be provided in a nurturing Christian atmosphere that encourages the spiritual, physical, mental, social and emotional development of the child. Because children learn most effectively through a concrete, play-oriented approach, our children are offered a variety of activities to help them explore, discover, and experiment. Our program is process-oriented rather than product-oriented, and therefore, is an active, noisy environment.

The Frog Street Press Curriculum is used in all of our classrooms to enhance the overall classroom experience. Content areas include Social and Emotional Development, Language and Communication, Literacy, Literacy Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Development, and Technology. The development of these skills is produced by weekly themed lesson plans. Frog Street Press Curriculum is endorsed by TEA and NAEYC.

NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) is the oldest and most prestigious early childhood education accreditation agency in the country. NAEYC accredited centers follow higher standards of care than the basic standards required by the state of Texas. The process of maintaining high standards and consistently following the best practices of the early childhood education field is one of the many reasons accreditation benefits you as a parent. An accredited program is one that not only provides developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, well qualified teachers, and a safe environment; it also has a higher operational standard, stricter guidelines, and is held accountable by an agency that is dedicated to providing quality education for young children.

We are a Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) provider. The Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood program is an extension of the child care services offered at the various military installations throughout the United States. Eligible providers for the MCCYN program must have a state child care license, a state inspection report dated within the last 12 months, employee background checks for all staff, and must meet additional high-quality accreditation standards.

Prohibited Items On Campus: Due to regulations that apply to licensed child care centers, firearms, hunting knives, and other weapons are prohibited on the premises of the child care center (see Minimum Standards for child care centers, TX DFPS Licensing Division, section 746. 3707).

As I said earlier, boarding school education can help the overall development of the child. They will learn to be independent and also improve time management.

In addition, attending a boarding school can help improve a child’s academic life because they are in an educational environment. Thus, less distractions.

Again, boarding schools help prepare a child for the future of college, as the child has already learned to be independent.

What is the best age for a child to attend boarding school?

The best age to attend a boarding school is 12 years old, because it is considered that at this age the child has already reached a certain maturity.

However, some children reach a certain level of maturity at the age of 10-11 years.

Therefore, before you send your child to a boarding school, make sure that he is ready.

Why should I go to boarding school in Texas?

However, boarding schools in Texas ensure the full development of the child.

Generally, boarding schools help students grow mentally, socially and physically.

How much does boarding school cost in Texas?

The cost of boarding schools in Texas varies. One of the main determining factors is the type of school.

For example, a private school will not cost the same as a boarding school, as it will cost more than a military school.

In addition, equipment or other services may affect the cost of the facility.

So the average cost of a boarding school is $38,850-20,000. Meanwhile, tuition at some institutions can cost $60,000, while expensive schools cost $60,000.

When people think of working with animals, they probably imagine zoos and veterinarians’ offices. But the animal industry is expansive and diverse, employing more than a million professionals in areas such as scientific research, medicine and rehabilitation, and animal rescue. This guide explores animal-related careers in-depth and provides practical advice on how to get your foot in the door.

Finding an Animal Career Path

When it comes to animal careers, possibilities exist in several occupational categories. For some, the right path isn’t so clear. To help narrow down your options, ask yourself the following questions:

Career Fields for Animal Lovers

Most people recognize marine biology and veterinary medicine, but career opportunities can be found in several other sectors. In fact, the industry is filled with positions that cut across multiple disciplines. Animal lovers can do everything from produce safe food supply chains to lobbying for political action to rehabilitating injured animals. This section outlines the necessary education, range of duties, and possible job titles for 10 different animal career fields.

Animal Agriculture

Animal agriculturalists may work on a multi-animal farm, on a single-species farm (e.g., poultry or dairy cows), or in an aquaculture (i.e., fish) facility. Working either in the field or behind a desk, these professionals have the central goal of humanely raising animals to produce food and/or other animal products, such as wool.

Required education
A bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or animal science with a specialization in animal production is traditionally required for the field.

Potential Careers in Animal Agriculture

Career

Senior-Level

Animal Care Quality Specialist

Monitors and coordinates health safety inspections and animal welfare quality audits. Provides hands-on training to farmers, processing plant staff, and other livestock workers. Oversees animal transportation processes and acts as a quality liaison between animal suppliers.

Animal/Marine Science and Biology

Animal scientists and marine biologists study animals and marine organisms, including their biological, social and physical aspects, and how they interact with their environments. In this case, however, animals are separated and studied based on their natural habitat. The goal is to gain a better understanding of animal behavior and come up with ways to maintain balanced ecosystems.

Required Education
An associate degree in animal science or a related field may serve as entry-level education. A bachelor’s degree in animal science, ecology, or marine biology is required for scientific or research positions. A master’s degree or PhD in marine biology, animal science, biology, or ecology is typically recommended for advanced research positions.

They may work in animal rehabilitation or training, but they are just as likely to be found working purely in an academic setting conducting research

Required Education
A certificate in assisted animal therapy or a bachelor’s degree in animal behavior, animal science, or psychobiology may be sufficient to begin working in the field. However, graduate degrees are recommended and can be found in fields such as animal husbandry, animal science, biology, behavioral science, and zoology. Some positions may require a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to practice applied animal behavioral research.

Professions related to animals – horses, dogs, cats, birds

Many children dream of connecting their future with our smaller friends even at the stage of acquaintance with “Doctor Aibolit”. But often, having become adults, they prefer other, more “adult” specialties.

That’s right, you can find a good profession related to English or the job of the future. But who said that you need to forget a childhood dream? Only on our telegram channel and here on the blog, we will tell you about what highly paid professions are associated with animals: cats, dogs, birds, horses and other inhabitants of nature. nine0003

This list is suitable for both girls and boys. Therefore, we read, study, choose.

Zoologist

What kind of animals to work with: with any.

Average salary : $600.

Required education : higher.

Who can work : both girls and boys of any age.

Zoologists are specialists who know more about animals than veterinarians. nine0003

They study the physiology, anatomy, psychology of wild animals and pets.

Some may think that this is a boring profession. In fact, this is one of the most exciting specialties, because zoologists constantly travel all over the planet and study common and rare species, write scientific papers and draw up textbooks.

In addition to the thirst for knowledge, here you will need the ability to handle photo and video equipment.

A prominent representative of the profession – Alfred Brehm, author of the famous book “Animal Life”

Veterinarian

Animals to work with : any.

Average salary : $950.

Required education : higher.

Who can work : both girls and boys, but it is better to start studying right after school.

A veterinarian is not a profession, but a vocation. This doctor treats domestic and exotic animals.

The profession is difficult, because a specialist has to understand all the organs no worse than a highly specialized doctor – a gastroenterologist, cardiologist, oncologist, andrologist, gynecologist and others. But this profession will always be in demand. nine0003

According to statistics, Russians keep 12 million dogs, almost 18 million cats, 2.5 million birds at home. And all of them need regular preventive vaccinations, inpatient treatment and other procedures.

Another great difficulty of the profession is that the animal cannot tell the doctor about his problem. At the same time, you cannot explain to them that you need to sit still and obediently take the medicine. Therefore, animals usually protest against the treatment itself and the doctors.

Zoopsychologist

What kind of animals to work with : with any.

Average salary : $900.

Required education : higher professional, as this branch of science belongs to psychology.

Who can work : both girls and guys.

The profession of animal psychologist finally appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. Thanks to her, she managed to learn a lot of new and interesting things about the intelligence of animals, to reveal their new abilities. nine0003

For example, professor of animal psychology Stanley Koren learned and told the world that dogs have a good knowledge of arithmetic. They can memorize up to 150 human words.

And European researchers discovered the ability to pick locks in cockatoo parrots. Although material values \u200b\u200bare not at all interested in birds. They do this for one purpose: to get the walnut that scientists have been hiding from them.

You need to be ready not only to conduct interesting research, but also to solve everyday issues – to study:

  • aggression,
  • increased affection,
  • closed,
  • reduction in milk yield, etc.

A zoopsychologist also helps the owner and other family members to build a communicative contact with the pet. This is important for the peaceful coexistence of both sides.

Ornithologist

Animals to work with : Birds.

Average salary : $450

Required education : higher.

Who can work : both girls and boys of any age.

Usually real aesthetes watch the birds.

Charles Darwin believed that every true gentleman should do ornithology.

Watching birds allows you to make interesting discoveries that play a huge role in the development of world science.

This is how we learned that the raven is as intelligent as the chimpanzee. And croaking, chirping and other bird sounds are the real communication between birds.

Ornithologists not only conduct research, but also map bird habitation and immigration, fix and protect species, confirm the impact of warming and globalization on extinction

Pet protection agent

mostly with pets. nine0003

Average salary : $800.

Required education : special courses.

Who can work : both girls and boys after grades 9-11.

This job is suitable for those who are not satisfied with simply treating animals. It helps to radically change the lives of our smaller brothers (horses, cats, dogs, birds, exotic pets) who have suffered at the hands of man.

So far, this direction is poorly developed in our country. But in Western countries, these fearless and altruistic people are already coming to the aid of animals. Meanwhile, the countries of the former CIS are in dire need of such courageous specialists, because we have enough heartless and flayers. nine0003

The disadvantage of the profession is that professionals often face violence. And not from the animals they are trying to save, but from aggressive people who do not want to part with their pet.

In order not to endanger themselves, these specialists work closely with veterinarians, animal psychologists and the police.

All of them take control of the rescue of abused animals – from the process of removal from a cruel owner to rehabilitation and transfer to a good family or shelter. nine0003

Groomer

Animals to work with : mainly cats and dogs.

Average salary : $900.

Required education : specialized courses at veterinary universities and academies.

Who can work : people of any gender and age.

Groomer is a stylist, hairdresser, pedicurist in one person who works with animals, mainly cats and dogs. nine0003

The tasks of this specialist include polishing wool, putting in order the claws, haircuts and hairstyles of any complexity, preparing the animal for exhibitions.

The complexity of the profession is that pets do not show such joy for SPA procedures as people do. Therefore, the task of the groomer is to do everything quickly, efficiently and without injuring the psyche of the animal. In this case, the specialist must have a very quick reaction, otherwise he may be injured in the form of a bite or scratched parts of the body. nine0003

But the groomer is ready for “difficult” clients. He always has leashes and special fixation devices, muzzles that reduce the risk of aggression.

The advantage of the profession is that it is not at all necessary to open an expensive salon to work. He can work both at his home and with a visit to the home of clients.

Anesthetist

Animals to work with : dogs.

Average salary : $600

Required education : specialized courses, secondary vocational or higher medical education.

Who can work : people of both sexes with medical or animal experience.

This profession is at the intersection of medicine, cynology and psychology. A canistherapist is a person who treats and rehabilitates patients with the help of specially trained dogs. Only a small number of breeds are suitable for this:

  • terriers,
  • husky,
  • Malamutes,
  • grynendali,
  • sheltie,
  • Labrador Retrievers and some others.

The task of such therapy is to reduce the feeling of anxiety, insecurity, self-doubt.

In Finland, speech therapy problems are treated in this way, in the UK they treat oncology and search for biological hazards.

There are 4 specializations of canistherapists:

  1. Volunteers.
  2. Interns.
  3. Methodists.
  4. Specialists.

The first two specialists are engaged in obtaining practical knowledge. The second is engaged in treatment and therapy.

These doctors are hired to treat problems with the psyche, speech, musculoskeletal system.

You can understand whether this profession is suitable for you or not, if you sit in the emergency department of any hospital for several hours. If after a while you do not experience any negativity, you are simply made for it. nine0003

Cynologist

What kind of animals to work with : with dogs.

Average salary : $800.

Required education College, courses.

Who can work : both girls and boys after grades 9-11.

Dogs began to be used for professional purposes more than 300 years ago. Then people realized that this type of animal is ideal for search operations. nine0003

Monks from monasteries in the Swiss Alps, where people regularly disappeared, were the first to notice. Already today, dogs of different breeds are used in the service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and customs.

And in order to educate a dog and teach it a new specialty, cynologists are needed. They look after the animals, select the best representatives of the breed and educate them through study, development and instilling new skills.

These dogs also have different specializations. Some are looking for drugs, others are looking for explosives, others are rescuing people under the rubble, others are looking for missing small children, others work as guides, hunt or treat the sick. nine0078

The cynologist has a very interesting profession, because he must establish close psycho-emotional contact with the animal in order to teach something important.

Experts say that the efficiency of such a dog is comparable to that of 20-30 people.

Average salary : $900.

Required education : courses, veterinary school or college.

Who can work : both girls and guys of any age with love for cats.

If you are not allergic to wool and love cats, this is a great job.

Professional or amateur felinologists study, breed and keep cats. These can be show judges, professional breeders and kennel owners, or ordinary owners of purebred beauties.

nine0002 Felinoloia is a great way to monetize your hobby, because a purebred representative can bring a stable profit to his owner.

Animal trainer

Animals to work with : with domestic, wild and exotic animals.

Average salary : $450.

Required education : college education, long training practice.

Who can work : both girls and boys in grades 9-11.

An animal trainer teaches you how to do tricks. He works with completely different types of animals – from rabbits and cats to horses, elephants and lions.

Their main task is to teach animals to interact with people without aggression, to follow commands. Most often, this specialist works in a circus. But it also happens that representatives of the profession start a private practice and work with animals that can be kept in an apartment: cats, dogs, parrots, etc. nine0003

The complexity of the profession is that he works with animals with whom it is not always possible to agree. And in practice, there are few cases when this specialist died from his wards. But scratches, abrasions and bites are a natural occurrence at work.

Hippologist

What kind of animals to work with : with horses.

Average salary : varies by skills, experience and region.

Required education : Higher education.

Who can work : representatives of dynastic families, girls and boys over 18.

A horse is an expensive animal. Most often, whole dynasties work with these animals: the father passes on his knowledge and skills to the children, those to their children, etc.

Hippologist studies the physiology, behavior, nutrition, breed, breeding and care of horses.

He is often confused with jockeys, veterinary assistants and trainers, but the difference is significant: a hippologist is a theoretical scientist who has been working side by side with horses since childhood. nine0003

The complexity of the profession is the lack of quality literature on the topic. In addition, despite its demand, there is a clear shortage of applicants in this area.

Veterinary assistant

What kind of animals to work with : most often with agricultural and domestic animals.

Average salary : $450.

Required education : vocational secondary. nine0003

Who can work : both girls and boys of any age.

A veterinary assistant studies his trade in college. His duties include:

  • animal diagnostics,
  • prescription of treatment,
  • carrying out simple procedures.

Most often, the paramedic has to work outdoors, which complicates the task. They provide assistance in the enclosure of an animal that cannot leave it on its own. nine0003

Milkmaid

Animals to work with : Cattle and small cattle.

Average salary : $300.

Required education : courses, college.

Who can work : girls after 9th grade.

This is hard physical work, because the fair sex will have to get up before sunrise – this is the time to feed the goats and cows. nine0003

Today, many farms, farms and enterprises have introduced automatic milking machines. In this case, the milkmaid will be responsible for the hygiene of the animals, doing an initial inspection to detect diseases, monitoring the smooth operation of the equipment and cleaning it.

The complexity of the profession lies in the restless nature of cattle. Milkmaids are often injured by the hooves and tails of animals.

Aquarist

Average salary : $450.

Required education : higher, secondary specialized.

Who can work : both girls and boys of any age.
