Student achievement is the number one goal in Utica Community Schools, and the journey toward College and Career Readiness begins in the elementary school. The elementary-level curriculum is briefly outlined below. Through a rigorous and challenging curriculum, students are challenged to reach their highest potential and encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning.
Language Arts
The Language Arts curriculum enables students to develop and achieve independent and strategic oral and written communication skills necessary for the 21st century. Daily classroom instruction includes:
Reading – Students receive literature and informational-based reading and writing instruction with an emphasis on comprehension, vocabulary, oral language, fluency, phonics, and reference and study skills.
Writing – Genre and process writing is taught through the Writer’s Workshop framework. Students develop an understanding of the different types of writing and write a variety of pieces such as Narrative, Informative, and Opinion. In addition, students implement the 6+1 Traits of Writing across the grades to build their writing fluency in all content areas.
Word Study/Spelling – Students learn strategies that enable them to recognize, spell, use, apply, and understand words presented in all content areas
Handwriting – Students begin with printing and move to cursive writing, generally in second and third grades.
Mathematics
The elementary mathematics curriculum features hands-on learning strategies and techniques, such as sorting, collecting data, measuring, computing, graphing, and calculating. These strategies help students:
Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them
Reason abstractly and quantitatively
Model with mathematics and use appropriate tools strategically
Acquire a deep understanding of how math works by applying math to all subject areas and all areas of their lives
Connect math instruction at all grades to algebraic thinking through appropriate math experiences at each grade level

EL Program
The goal of the EL program is to provide non-native, English learning students with the resources and opportunities to develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The primary goal of the EL teachers is to help develop each child to his/her potential, with both academic and social language. In addition, the programs work to develop the academic strategies necessary for successful study in a language and culture that may differ from their native language and/or culture. Members of the EL staff can serve as liaisons between child, school, home, and community.

Special Education
Every UCS elementary school houses a team of experts – special education teachers, speech and language therapists, social workers, reading and bilingual specialists and psychologists – to identify students’ difficulties, consult with parents and teachers about children’s special needs and to help students succeed.
If a concern arises regarding a student, a Student Needs Assessment Committee (SNAC) meeting may be conducted in order to gather information and discuss possible interventions. If the team concludes that further information is needed, a special education referral may be initiated. Parents are encouraged to discuss concerns regarding their child with the classroom teacher first, and together decide whether to pursue a SNAC meeting. The completion of the SNAC process is a valuable step in developing the most appropriate educational plan for a student. Parental involvement is an integral component of the pre-referral and referral process. In addition to informal contact which occurs throughout the process, written parental consent is obtained before an evaluation is conducted.
Michigan law requires all individuals with disabilities to receive special education assistance through age 25. UCS provides special education for students in preschool through high school and additional services are available through the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD).
The MISD Parent Advisory Committee publishes a directory of special education programs and services, available through MISD or UCS’ Special Services Department by calling 810-795-2300.

Sterling Heights Automotive Assembly Plant Workers Demand Production Shutdown Amid Coronavirus Spread at Plants Across the US

There is growing support among auto workers across the US for a nationwide shutdown of the auto industry to contain the spread of the pandemic.
On Sunday, November 15, Michigan public health officials acknowledged that manufacturing and construction sites have become the top hotspots for COVID-19 outbreaks in the state. However, partial quarantine measures imposed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer do not affect such businesses.
Last week, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker also acknowledged that outbreaks in industrial areas, auto plants, meat and food processing plants, and logistics firms were one of the main reasons for the new spike in infections.
Second shift of SHAP workers 14 November
In the Detroit area, the most significant outbreak of infections appears to have occurred at Fiat Chrysler’s Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP), the largest automobile plant in the area . All union workers in Locale 1700 [the UAW’s local auto workers union cell] have been sent home for quarantine, and at least one worker, Mark Bianchi, has died. One of the workers told the publication Autoworker Newsletter linked to World Socialist Web Site that in the car paint shop alone, 25 people were sent home on Friday due to contact with sick people.
The factory management supports the UAW union, which is ready to sacrifice the lives of workers for the profit of the enterprise. In opposition to the union, the Plant’s Workers’ Safety Committee released a statement on Saturday calling for a shutdown of all operations to save workers’ lives and demanding full wage compensation for all workers affected by the shutdown. The committee urges workers not to return to the shop until all necessary safety measures have been taken, including daily testing of all personnel, full pay for quarantined workers, immediate publication of information on all cases of disease at the plant. Another demand is to stop the campaign of intimidation waged by the company and the UAW union against workers speaking out in the media or on Facebook.
Not far from the SHAP plant, the virus is also out of control at the FCA Sterling stamping plant. More than 30 cases of infection have now been confirmed at this facility. UAW Local 1264 closed its union office yesterday, and several “committees, stewards [union position] and benefits representative” were sent home, a local spokesperson said. However, even as union officials go home for quarantine, the UAW union insists workers must go to work to make profits for the auto companies. A detailed analysis of the Sterling assembly outbreak was published on by the World Socialist Web Site last week.
“We need to shut down, check everyone and start over,” said one furious Sterling plant worker. “As well as enforcing the mask regulations, which a significant percentage of our brothers and sisters do not follow. Our elderly workers are very vulnerable!”
Workers also report major outbreaks at other Detroit factories, including Warren Truck and Warren Stamping.
All of these plants are located in large cities, which increases the risk of the disease spreading from the plants to the surrounding communities. “This plant employs 7,000 people who come here from all over the state,” said one SHAP worker. “They get COVID-19, travel home 80 kilometers 80 kilometers north and spread it to their families and friends there. ”
On Sunday evening, Democrat Gov. Whitmer announced a three-week partial lockdown (quarantine) in the state. These measures make an exception for manufacturing, construction and other jobs, although the state Department of Health and Human Services has said “Michigan is on fire” and the governor has warned that the state is heading towards a situation where up to 1,000 people die every week. . Michigan already has 251,813 confirmed cases and 7994 deaths.
While face-to-face instruction for high school students and students in colleges and high schools will be suspended for three weeks, elementary schools will continue classes to ensure parents can travel to work. The exception would be Detroit, which last week was forced to stop all face-to-face education in elementary and high schools.
Every serious health professional knows that the spread of a deadly infection cannot be contained until non-essential industries, schools and universities are closed. But the entire political establishment – from Trump and the Republicans to Biden, Whitmer and the Democrats – is categorically against such measures. Michael Osterholm, a prominent infectious disease expert and member of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team, recently called for a six-week national lockdown with a federal wage and income guarantee for workers. However, a few hours later, under pressure from the Biden team, this expert was forced to disavow his previous statement, as the Biden team made it clear to him that the president-elect was against a nationwide lockdown.
“If Whitmer was really worried about COVID-19, she would never have allowed production to resume,” a SHAP worker said.
Gov. Whitmer’s Sunday announcement also blows up desperate attempts by UAW auto workers union officials in Sterling Heights to block workers’ efforts to shut down production. Over the weekend, local 1700 trade union officials issued a statement that combined threats against workers for using social media with a call for them to contact Whitmer for another lockdown. This suggests that it was she who made the decision to close the plants in March of this year. In fact, Whitmer never shut down the Michigan auto industry, which she considered “a vital business.” She excluded the auto industry from her administrative order to impose a quarantine in March.
The automotive industry was shut down from late March to May only because of a spate of wildcat strikes started by SHAP workers, among others, that quickly spread throughout the country. The shutdowns were initiated by workers outraged that work continues even when schools and restaurants are closed. By taking the initiative and challenging the UAW, auto workers have saved countless lives.
Support is growing in SHAP and other factories for another “wild” [unsanctioned] strike. “I hope we stop production,” another worker said. – It’s horrible. There is no security here. They don’t notify people if there was an infestation nearby. Only partial suspensions of work by workers helped us to stop all production. The union does not help us, does not protect us.”
A third SHAP employee who worked for Fiat Chrysler for six years said: “Factories should be closed. We spend more time with our colleagues at the factory than with our families. Now the disease has taken over SHAP, as well as the neighboring stamping plant in Stirling. I don’t want to bring this disease home to my children or parents.”
“Workers who work under threat of illness are told not to go on vacation. We are told that if we spent less than 15 minutes next to the sick person, we cannot leave work. It’s like saying to the workers: “You haven’t been infected yet, go back to work.” And many quarantined workers are not receiving compensation.”
“There is a machine at the gate that takes our temperature, but it does not catch asymptomatic workers who can spread covid inside the plant. We used to have extra breaks to clean and sanitize our workspace, but they have canceled most of the breaks.”
“Now they are talking about three shifts, 24 hours a day, with five or six eight-hour days instead of four 10-hour days. We work a shift and the next shift comes right behind us and we won’t have much time for social distancing. ”
“They want us to work until the end of the holiday break, we are told that we already had two months of vacation when the industry was closed. We will work every weekend until the New Year. There won’t even be time to air the shop.”
“They don’t want to close the plant, they just want to keep making cars. But we have to force them to stop production, as they did in March.”
Automotive workers at SHAP and other factories should take matters into their own hands, expand the network of rank and file safety committees, and fight for an immediate stop to non-essential production and full compensation for workers, small businesses, the unemployed and all those affected by the pandemic. This means fighting to redirect the huge profits of the giant car companies and the trillions of dollars given to Wall Street by both parties, controlled by corporations. The money should be used to fight the pandemic, protect lives and provide livelihoods for workers and their families.

When Douglas was about twelve years old, his master’s wife Sophia began to teach him the alphabet, despite the fact that the law forbade teaching slaves to read and write. Douglas described Sophia as a kind, caring woman who treated him the way one person should treat another. When the slave owner found out about the actions of his wife, he condemned her, saying that the slave, having learned to read, would be dissatisfied with his position and would demand freedom. Douglas would later call this definition “the first indisputable sermon against slavery.” As stated in Douglas’s autobiography, he made great strides in teaching white children to read.
Unknown to his masters, he continued to learn to read and write. One of his statements is “knowledge is the road from slavery to freedom.” Starting to read newspapers, political materials and books, he began to think about slavery and condemn it.
For the first time, Douglas tried to escape from the slave owner of Freeland, but the escape was unsuccessful. In 1836 he made an attempt to escape from another master, Covey, but again without success. In 1837, Douglas met Anna Murray, a free black woman who was five years his senior, and fell in love with her. Her freedom reinforces his confidence that he too can be free.
On September 3, 1838, he successfully escaped by boarding a train to Havre de Grace, Maryland. He was dressed in a naval uniform given to him by Murray. She also gave him money to escape and prepared papers for him to claim that he was a free black sailor. He fled to Wilmington, Delaware. From there, by steamboat, he moved to “Quaker City” (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), and then settled in the home of abolitionist David Ruggles in New York. The entire journey took him about 24 hours

We are all well aware of the fundamentally destructive character of the disease of alcoholism. It affects the body, intellect, emotions and soul of the person who has become its victim. By its very nature, it is a fatal disease. We know it’s incurable, but it can be stopped. Over the past 50 years, hundreds of thousands of alcoholics have managed to stop their disease and live happy, successful and productive sober lives. However, one of the great tragedies here is that many alcoholics experience temporary relief, after which they return to drinking.
According to available data, about half of alcoholics who approach the threshold of sobriety cross it and remain sober. Many of the rest stay sober for a while, break out one or more times, after which they get a taste of the sober life and do not drink again until their death. Of those who remain, many get stuck, sober up over and over again, and then go back to using. Some of them, of course, eventually die.
Terry Gorski was tasked early in his professional career with trying to help these extremes. He understood that some of them, obviously, will never be able to recover – the harm done to them by drinking alcohol is irreparable. However, for the rest, he suggested that perhaps there was a way to help them achieve the sobriety that others had a little easier than them. And this young man devoted fifteen years of his life (and is still working on it) to study the medical histories of thousands of such poor people who returned to use again and again.
This work resulted in the CENAPS relapse prevention model. It combines the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and occupational therapy and offers a plan for recovery. According to him, this plan in itself does not contain anything new. He only combines the wisdom of A.A.’s recovery program with the results of all the research of the last few decades.
I believe in the principles described in this manual. My belief in their effectiveness is so strong that we founded the Ashley Comprehensive Relapse Prevention Center.
Professional counseling, medical treatment and the wisdom of Alcoholics Anonymous are optimally integrated here.
I am convinced that this book and the accompanying relapse prevention workbook will provide you with valuable life-saving information. If in trying to understand and apply this information you find that you cannot do it alone, do not despair. There are many excellent therapy centers that can help you plan for relapse prevention.
Ref. Despite everything, some will still die from this incurable disease. Yet many will continue to die because we don’t know what to do with the relapse phenomenon. Relapse prevention planning is a powerful new approach that is helping thousands of people avoid what used to be a death sentence. It is important for us to convey to relapsed alcoholics the idea that hope really exists. It is time to bring to the therapeutic centers the understanding that we have a moral obligation to do everything in our power to cure the sickest among the sick in the mass of alcoholics. I believe that this book is an excellent opportunity to start helping people who were previously considered hopeless.

Introduction
Early 1970s I worked as an alcohol counselor at Grant Hospital in Chicago. In June 1971, I was transferred to a full-time position in the polyclinic department. Since I had very little experience in this institution, I did not have enough influence and patients “with a high chance of cure” were not referred to me. The most difficult patients came to me, many of whom were treated repeatedly and could not remain sober. At the time, I didn’t care. I thought I could work with anyone. No one told me that these chronically relapsed patients were hopeless. And I waited for them to recover.
When all the patients you see are exclusively people who constantly break down, the task can seem insurmountable. But I started learning almost immediately. The first thing I came to was that most relapsed patients have gone through everything that is offered by alcoholism counselors and traditional psychotherapy. In addition, I learned that many of them are more familiar with the steps and traditions of A.A. than I am.

Pengertian CPU Mungkin kita kadang bertanya, bagaimana komputer bisa mengolah data dengan begitu cepat dan tepat? Jawabannya, seperti halnya manusia, komputer memiliki “otak”, yang disebut dengan CPU (Central Processing Unit).
CPU merupakan unit pemrosesan terpenting dalam perangkat komputer. Istilah CPU terkadang dinyatakan sebagai kotak atau casing yang di dalamnya terdapat beberapa perangkat keras, seperti motherboard, harddisk, RAM, VGA card, kabel (power supply), dan lain sebagainya. Padahal sebenarnya CPU adalah perangkat keras (hardware) yang terdapat di dalam casing dan terdapat pada motherboard. Agar tidak salah paham lagi tentang CPU, artikel ini akan memberikan informasi lebih detail mengenai CPU pada komputer. Juga dijelaskan tentang komponen-komponen CPU dan cara kerja CPU pada komputer.
Pengertian Central Processing Unit (CPU) Central Processing Unit (CPU) Istilah lain untuk CPU pengolah (processor), sering digunakan untuk menyebut CPU. Mikroprosesor adalah CPU yang diproduksi di sirkuit terintegrasi. Sejak pertengahan 1970-an, mikroprosesor sirkuit terintegrasi telah umum digunakan dan telah menjadi aspek penting dari eksekusi CPU.
Komponen CPU Berikut ini terdapat beberapa komponen cpu, terdiri atas: 1. Unit Kontrol Unit kontrol yang mengelola program. Komponen ini tentunya ada di semua CPU. CPU bertugas mengendalikan komputer agar sinkronisasi yang terjadi antar komponen bekerja dalam menjalankan fungsi operasi. termasuk tanggung jawab unit kontrol adalah mengambil perintah, instruksi dari memori utama dan menentukan jenis instruksi. Jika ada instruksi untuk aritmatika atau penalaran logis, unit kontrol akan mengirimkan instruksi ke ALU. Hasil pengolahan data dibawa oleh control unit ke main memory untuk disimpan, dan waktu akan dipresentasikan ke hasil alat. Dengan demikian tugas unit kontrol ini adalah: a. Mengatur dan mengontrol alat input (masukan) dan output (keluaran). b. Mengambil instruksi dari memori utama. c. Mengambil data dari memori utama (jika diperlukan) untuk diproses. d. Mengirim instruksi ke ALU bila ada perhitungan aritmatika dan perbandingan logika, lalau mengawasi kerja dari ALU. e. Menyimpan hasil proses ke memori utama. 2. Register Register Memori ini bersifat sementara, biasanya digunakan untuk menyimpan data untuk diproses atau data untuk diproses lebih lanjut. Secara analogi, register ini dapat diibaratkan sebagai memori di otak ketika kita melakukan pemrosesan manual, jadi otak dapat diibaratkan sebagai CPU yang berisi memori, unit kontrol yang mengatur semua aktivitas tubuh dan memiliki tempat untuk melakukan perhitungan dan perhitun gan. . perbandingan logis.

Interkoneksi CPU dan koneksi bus sistem menghubungkan komponen internal CPU, yaitu ALU, unit kontrol dan register dan juga dengan bus CPU eksternal yang terhubung dengan sistem lain, seperti memori utama, perangkat input/output.
4. CPU Interconnections Seperti memori utama, perangkat input/output.
Bagian-Bagian CPU Berikut ini terdapat beberapa bagian-bagian cpu, terdiri atas: 1. Casing Casing adalah bagian paling luar dari PC yang sering disebut sebagai CPU ini, fungsinya yaitu sebagi penutup dan tempat dudukan komponen lain serta sebagai pelindung komponen komponen didalamnya dari kotoran dan debu. 2. Processor Processor merupakan otak atau induk dari setiap pemrosesan komputer, penjelasan processor telah saya jelaskan diatas. 3. Motherboard Fungsi utamanya yaitu untuk menghubungkan tiap komponen agar dapat saling berkomunikasi dan bertukar data satu sama lain. 4. RAM RAM (Random Access Memory) merupakan sebuah memori utama komputer yang berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan data yang telah diproses oleh processor sebelum dilanjutkan ke bagian lain yang membutuhkan, oleh sebab itu RAM juga sering disebut sebagai memori penyimpanan sementara. 5. Harddisk Harddisk berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan data secara konvensional yang umum digunakan. Umumnya harddisk saat ini memiliki kapasitas penyimpanan yang sangat besar mulai dari ratusan GB hingga TB. Contoh data yang disimpan dalam harddisk yaitu lagu, video, gambar, aplikasi dan lain sebagainya. 6. VGA Card VGA Card merupakan komponen yang berfungsi untuk mengolah data grafis untuk ditampilkannya ke monitor. VGA Card merupakan salah satu komponen paling penting saat menjalankan aplikasi yang menampilkan grafis di monitor seperti game 7. Sound Card Sound Card berfungsi untuk mengolah data berupa audio atau suara dari/ke perangkat keras yang terkait seperti speaker dan mic. 8. Optical Disk Drive Optical Disk Drive atau lebih sering disebut dengan CD/DVD 9. Power Supply Power Supply
Fungsi CPU CPU berfungsi seperti kalkulator, hanya saja jauh lebih bertenaga dalam hal memproses daya CPU. Fungsi utama CPU adalah melakukan operasi aritmatika dan logis pada data yang diambil dari memori atau dari informasi yang dimasukkan melalui beberapa perangkat keras, seperti keyboard, pemindai, kontrol tuas, dan mouse. CPU dikendalikan menggunakan seperangkat perangkat lunak komputer. Perangkat lunak tersebut dapat dijalankan oleh CPU untuk membaca dari media penyimpanan, seperti hard drive, floppy disk, CD, atau tape recorder. Instruksi-instruksi ini kemudian disimpan terlebih dahulu di memori fisik (MAA), di mana setiap instruksi akan diberi alamat unik yang disebut alamat memori. Cara Kerja CPU Ketika data/instruksi dimasukkan ke perangkat pemrosesan, mereka pertama kali ditempatkan di MAA (melalui penyimpanan input). Jika berupa instruksi yang disimpan oleh Control Unit di Program-storage, tetapi berupa data yang disimpan di Working-storage). Jika register sudah siap menerima eksekusi kerja, Control Unit akan mengambil instruksi dari Program-storage untuk ditempatkan di Instruction Register, sedangkan alamat memori yang berisi instruksi disimpan di program counter. Sedangkan data diambil oleh Work Unit Control-storage untuk ditampung dalam general purpose register (dalam hal ini Operand-list). Jika pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh instruksi adalah aritmatika dan logis, ALU akan mengambil alih operasi yang akan dilakukan berdasarkan set instruksi. Hasilnya disimpan di akumulator. Jika hasil pengolahan telah selesai maka Control Unit akan mengambil hasil pengolahan di akumulator untuk ditampung kembali ke Working-storage. Apabila pembangunan secara keseluruhan telah selesai maka Unit Pengendali akan mengolah Work Storage untuk ditampung di Output Storage. Nantinya output-storage, hasil pemrosesan akan ditampilkan ke perangkat output.
Percabangan Instruksi Pemrosesan instruksi di CPU dibagi menjadi dua tahap, Tahap-I disebut Instruction Fetch, sedangkan Tahap-II disebut Instruction Execute. Tahap-I berisi pemrosesan CPU di mana Unit Kontrol mengambil data dan/atau instruksi dari memori utama ke register, sedangkan Tahap-II berisi pemrosesan CPU di mana Unit Kontrol mengirimkan data dan/atau instruksi dari register ke memori utama untuk ditampung di MAA, setelah instruksi Fetch selesai. Waktu pada tahap-I ditambah waktu pada tahap-II disebut waktu siklus mesin. Penghitung program pada CPU umumnya bergerak secara berurutan. Namun, beberapa instruksi dalam CPU, yang disebut instruksi terpotong, memungkinkan CPU mengakses instruksi yang tidak berurutan. Ini disebut percabangan instruksi. Instruksi cabang dapat bersyarat (memiliki kondisi tertentu) atau tidak bersyarat. US Bureau Director James Comey fired after investigating Clinton’s correspondence and American President’s ties with Russia

What is the FBI

Until February 24, the Russian market of strategic consulting was actively developing, and all large international companies were present on it. For example, the Big Three companies alone (BCG, McKinsey, Bain) had about 1,000 consultants. Then, after February 24, 90% of consultants relocated abroad, and the rest moved to new companies organized by Troika’s former partners. For example, ex-partners of McKinsey reopened a Russian office called Yakov & Partners. Consulting has remained in Russia, but today I want to talk about the consulting industry in the Middle East.
Why the Middle East?
Strategic consulting in the Middle East is a unique market that has been growing over the past 10 years. Local governments in particular, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and, to some extent, Bahrain, are investing billions in the transition to a post-oil economy. To ensure a successful transition, they hire strategy consultants who work on projects in transportation, education, innovation, and the public sector. Consulting companies work on the most ambitious projects. For example, BCG wrote the development strategy for Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. As part of the Vision 2030 strategy, Saudi Arabia is building the city of the future Neom from scratch. But McKinsey is actively working with the state in the field of building metaverses.

The Middle East is huge, which cities are worth going to?
There are three main cities in the region that recruit international candidates – Dubai (UAE), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Doha (Qatar). The highest level of competition is in Dubai. At the same time, salaries are higher in Riyadh, by about 20%, than in Dubai, and there are also many interesting projects in different industries. Some industries are rebuilding from scratch, this is the real Blue Ocean! All candidates interested in a career in this region should be prepared to travel to neighboring countries, to Bahrain, Oman or Kuwait.

Consulting selection consists of several stages: screening, GMAT-type test and several rounds of case and fit interviews. A case interview is given a business challenge, while a fit consists of questions about your work experience, motivation, and values.
In order to get an invitation for an interview, you need to interest recruiters as much as possible and show that you have useful experience, for example, in consulting or in the industry, in particular, in oil & gas or technology companies. Experience in a startup as a product or in a strategic role will also be relevant. Experience in local companies is also an advantage. However, you can get in with any experience. She also attended Columbus State University and obtained an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been with KinderCare since 2011. Outside of work, Carla enjoys DIY projects, home improvements, and yard work. Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s

Discovery Preschool Programs (2-3 Years)

preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create

Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Before- and After-School Programs (5-12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child

Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)

Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play

Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.
Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?
We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

Different Kinds of Child day Care Centers
While child day care centers are common, there is such a huge demand for this service that there are now quite a variety of options available other than basic day care. These include the following:

First, you must consider the cost of attending some of the more prestigious and rigorous day care provider centers in your area. In some areas, let’s face the reality that the more money per month per child spent; the better the facilities and the educational value experience offered for your child. Things such as using smart boards and I Pad’s to enhance the learning experience is a very real possibility in these places. However, if a parent is budget conscious they can still afford this experience but it would mean cutting back on all or most non-necessity spending. This would include curbing your eating out habits as well as any leisure entertainment or travel activity and place that money instead into your child’s future day care home. If an expensive day care sees that you are making an effort to keep up with the payments; then they will be more willing to work with you and not let your child leave that place. For a child going to this environment, they need to consider whether or not they will fit into this environment, things like playtime, feeding time, and individual care of the staff- is it received well by the child? These will make the difference between choosing these ones or a cheaper alternative. Cheaper is not all bad if the quality and availability of care is there for your child in the first place.
Secondly, you need to consider your travel times and distance of day care relative to your work and other important places like the hospital, grocery store, bank, and places that you frequent on a daily basis. Is it near enough that you can get to your child should he/she become ill or need special attention so that the day care center can contact you and arrange a meeting with you the same day if needed.
Furthermore, you need to consider the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the day care center provider. Do not underestimate a clean environment for your kid to play and learn in with other kids. Your kid will enjoy making new friends in a clean and safe environment. Plus you as a parent will enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that your child will not be being home any unwanted germs and diseases into your house. Parents must also consider if there is a dispute over payment and care; how does the management and staff deal with such requests? If there is a lackadaisical approach to your core issues; then that is a bad prelude of things to come concerning your child’s care. Your child will probably feel like he/she is being neglected or not fed on time and will start to complain to you ever so slightly that something is not right. When they do, do not hesitate to take them out of that day care center and find another one immediately.
In a recessionary economy, it is okay and permissible for both parents and kids to demand the best care for their dollar. Make your day care dollar stretch by reading all of the material and brochures and visiting every day center on your list until you find that perfect fit for your child. It’s out there; it is just waiting on you to find it!
Child Care Options for Low Income Families
One of the most frustrating aspects of being a working citizen is not having the ability to afford childcare. The majority of day care facilities charge as much as $300 per week for each child. That amount is difficult for middle-class citizens to pay. Low-income families cannot fathom paying such an expense. Luckily, the government and the various states have developed programs that help low-income families get the childcare they deserve. The following is some information on those programs:
Extended Day Program
The extended day program can assist low-income working parents during the regular school year. Many school districts offer this program. The school keeps children before and after school hours for a small monthly fee. A parent can drop a child off as early as 7:00 a.m. and pick the child up as late as 6:00 p.m. This program is excellent for low-income workers with daytime weekday jobs. The cost is approximately $150 per month for before and after school. The weekly rate is approximately $37.50, which is extremely competitive.
The attendants participate in various activities with the children before and after school. They help the children with their homework so that the parents have less stress when they come home from work. They give the children a full breakfast in the morning program and a snack in the evening program. Parents can opt to pay for the morning program only, the evening program only, or both programs. The evening program is the more expensive of the two because it lasts so many hours after the school releases the children. The evening program is $100 while the morning program is $52.
The Child Care Assistance Program
CCAP is a special program that provides childcare assistance to certain low-income families. People who are collecting TANF are automatically eligible to receive this assistance. Teenage parents who are working on obtaining their educations are also eligible for CCAP. Those who are not collecting TANF can still qualify if they are pursuing education that will improve their work skills and job opportunities. Parents can apply for CCAP assistance with the Department of Children & Family Services. The financial guidelines for qualification are along the lines of a $3,000 per month income threshold for a four-person family. The applicant must have proof of income, social security cards, birth certificates, and immunization records for all children. Application processing can take up to 30 days.
Head Start
Head start is a program for children between the ages of three and five. The program provides childcare services and medical services to the children who qualify. It is funded by the Administration of Children’s Services. The Head Start program covers childcare from 7 a. m. to 5 p.m. Teachers work with the children to fine-tune their social and developmental skills. Those who are interested in the program may apply online. Applicants go on a waitlist until there is an available slot in the program. It is best for an interested person to complete an application as quickly as possible since the wait may be extended.
Child Care Voucher Program
The Child Care Voucher Program is in effect in many states throughout the United States. It provides a subsidy of up to 95 percent of childcare cost to low-income families. Subsidy recipients will choose an eligible provider from the list of licensed providers. They may also select a relative or an in-home provider. The Child Care Voucher Program covers the childcare from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. This is known as the traditional childcare period. However, the program also covers non-traditional times for parents who work odd shifts. It covers nights, weekends, and evenings.
A wide variety of options is available for low-income childcare. Many stay-at-home moms also run small day care businesses in which they discount their services. There is a way to make working and taking care of your children affordable.

Kitesurfing training at the academy takes place according to the international IKO system. Moreover, thanks to a team of professionals, learning to kite is quite easy, and every year hundreds of guests of the academy are convinced of this.
The Academy of Water Sports offers its students, in addition to classic boating or jet skiing, to try cable wakeboarding. This is a new, modern and safer way to wake and kitesurf, suitable for both beginners and professionals. There are all conditions for training at the highest level: new models of boards, a powerful boat, a jet ski designed specifically for towing a rider, experienced instructors who will help beginners and amateurs in mastering the wake.

There are a few instances where a different City agency determines a family’s eligibility for child care assistance and the above forms do not apply:
Families applying for or receiving cash assistance must apply for child care through their Human Resources Administration (HRA) Job Center.
Families with an active Child Welfare case, preventive and/or protective, must contact their case worker to make a Child Care subsidy referral.
Employed foster parents must contact their case worker to make a Child Care subsidy referral to be eligible for child care assistance.

Not required to apply for a job – this is the main point of this article. This means that the employee is not required to write a job application in order to be employed, and the employer does not need to have a job application in the HR records.
The list of documents to be presented at the conclusion of an employment contract is provided for by Article 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
Documents presented by an employee to an employer upon conclusion of an employment contract include the following:
Passport or other identification document.
Employment book, except for the case of the conclusion of an employment contract for the first time or part-time employment.
State pension insurance certificate.
Documents of military registration for persons liable for military service and persons subject to conscription for military service.
Documents on education, qualifications or special knowledge in employment for a job requiring special knowledge or special training.
Certificate of the presence (absence) of a criminal record, the fact of criminal prosecution or the termination of criminal prosecution on rehabilitating grounds when applying for a job to which the relevant categories of persons are not allowed.
The above list of documents may be expanded by federal laws, decrees of the President of the Russian Federation, and decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation.
As you can see, article 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation does not mention such a document as an application for employment.
In other regulatory legal acts, there are cases when an employee’s application is mandatory. For example, paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 26 of the Federal Law of July 27, 2004 No. 79-FZ “On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation”, a citizen entering the civil service, when concluding a service contract, submits to the representative of the employer, including an application with a request for admission to the civil service and to the position of the civil service. As a general rule, a job application is not required.
On the contrary, part 3 of article 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation prohibits requiring from a person applying for a job any documents other than those provided for by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, other federal laws, decrees of the President and resolutions of the Government.
Although a job application is not needed, it is very often “required”. For what? – I don’t understand. In this case, below is a sample (form) application for employment.

The list of documents that a potential employee is required to provide you is listed in Art. 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. First of all, these are:
passport;
work book;
SNILS.
In some cases, additional documents are required. For example, those liable for military service provide a military ID or registration certificate. If you need special knowledge or qualifications for work, you will need a diploma, certificates. And you cannot work with minors without a certificate of no criminal record. There are no applications in this list.
But almost all personnel officers, when hiring, still ask the employee to write the usual application. After all, its main advantage is that it reflects a person’s desire to get exactly this job. The application does not require any strict rules for registration, while it allows you to make marks on the form. Usually, the manager puts a resolution on it: he expresses his consent to accept the employee and makes recommendations for the HR department.

How to fill out a job application correctly
Since the code does not define the concept of a job application, there are no requirements for its preparation. As there are no nuances when writing an application in 2023. It is important that the text contains all the necessary information for concluding an employment contract.
The application is written in free form by hand or printed on a printer.
In the upper right corner, the employee writes the name of the potential employer, position, last name and initials of the manager in the dative case. Example: “To the Director of Vympel LLC Soloviev A.B.”
Under the details of the employer are the data of the employee, his last name, first name and patronymic in the genitive case. Example: “from Ivanov Ivan Ivanovich”.
The word “Statement” is written in the central block, and then the text.
In the final block, the employee puts the date, signature, last name, first name and patronymic.
The following must be visible in the text of the application:
the position for which the person is applying;
subdivision in which work is expected;
start date;
various nuances, for example, remote work or part-time work.

Morning Meeting is the best part of the day in my 4th-grade classroom, and I want to share some of my fourth graders’ favorite morning meeting activities. These morning meeting activities are ones that we use all year to work on teamwork, classroom community, and just having fun building relationships together! BONUS: All of these morning meeting activities work for social distancing too!

One of the Most Popular Morning Meeting Group Activities: Inspector Bullfrog
Inspector Bullfrog is one of our favorite morning meeting activities because it’s silly and fun! It also requires observation skills! Here’s how to play:
Everyone should start sitting in a circle. Choose one student to be the inspector and send him/her outside of the classroom for a second.
All students should close their eyes, and you tap one of them on the head or shoulder. That student is the bullfrog.
The inspector returns to the classroom and stands in the middle of the circle. S/he tries to figure out who the bullfrog is by looking at the students.
The bullfrog attempts to put the rest of the class to sleep by sticking out his/her tongue at them. But s/he has to make eye contact with the student, so the student knows it’s him/her who s/he put to sleep.
The student who is put to sleep by the bullfrog dramatically lays down on the floor to tell the inspector that s/he fell asleep.
The inspector has three guesses to try to figure out who the bullfrog is. S/he wins if s/he guesses correctly. The bullfrog wins if s/he puts the whole class to sleep before being caught or not being guessed by the inspector!
How to make this social-distancing safe: make the circle as spread out as you can!
One of Our Favorite Morning Meeting Team Building Activities: Group Juggling
Okay, I have to warn you, this morning meeting activity is tricky! I definitely would not recommend this for students below Third Grade, because it takes a lot of attention and focus! But I love the challenge that this morning meeting activity required of my 4th-grade students. Here’s how it works:
Get a few dodgeballs or soft balls for this activity. You probably won’t need more than four at first, but may need more once students get better at it. Depending on your class size, you may choose to split your students into two groups,
Students stand in a circle, and each has a number (we use our class numbers, but you can choose whatever numbers you’d like). Mix up the numbers, so they aren’t all standing next to each other. Let them know which students have numbers before and after them. (Ex: You are 1, you are 2, you are 3, etc.)
Pass Student 1 the first ball, and s/he tosses the ball to Student 2. This continues through all of the numbers, and the last student passes the ball back to Student One. This repeats, and as the first ball gets about halfway around the circle, pass another ball to student one for him/her to start tossing too. Now students have to keep track of two balls in the circle. If they get the two balls juggling well, try to add a third one!
If a ball drops at any time, they have to start over with one ball at student 1. At the end of the time you have, note how many balls was the record so that next time you play, you can try to beat your record!
Group Juggling is a fantastic morning meeting activity to build teamwork, coordination, and focus! It’s not as easy as it seems! But my fourth graders love trying to work together to juggle more balls each time! If you’re worried about the spread of germs, have all students wash their hands before and after playing!
Freeze Dance – One of those Morning Meeting Activities that is just plain fun!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes we just need a dance party! My fourth graders LOVE freeze dance just as much as my Kindergarteners did! (Did you know that I taught primary for three years before finding my true love of upper elementary!?) Freeze dance is perfect for those days when you don’t have a lot of time for your morning meeting. Here’s how to play:
When the music is playing, everyone should be dancing where you can see them. I encourage my students to dance around the room and have fun with it!
When you stop the music, everyone should freeze. If you catch people who are still moving, they are out and sit down until the next round starts.
Start the music again and keep playing until one student is left standing! He/she is the winner!
You can have the winner pick the next song to dance to, be the DJ and you play the game, or just celebrate them and play again.
For a challenge, once you’ve played a few times with your students, play opposite freeze dance and freeze when the music plays and dance when it stops. THAT is pretty hilarious! If you’re trying to keep social-distance, just make sure your students keep a distance.
STEM Challenges – Get Your Fourth Graders Thinking Outside the Box
I don’t do them often, but I will include a STEM or STEAM challenge in our Morning Meeting plans now and then! These Morning Meeting Activities encourage creativity and problem-solving. You can use any materials you have on hand or choose to do a specific challenge and make sure you have specific materials ready to go. Here are some of our favorites:
Tallest Tower Challenge: This one is so easy because you can prep it in 3 minutes or less! Grab some random supplies, divide them between groups of students evenly, and let them work together to build the tallest tower in 5 minutes! We’ve done this with index cards, tape and paper, manipulatives, and so much more!
Aluminum Foil Boats: Students create a boat out of foil that will float and carry as much weight (pennies) as possible! Then, test your creations and award a winner!
Book vs. Paper Challenge: Can a single piece of paper hold a book off the table/floor? The short answer: yes, it can! Challenge your students to see if they can figure it out!
Paper Plane Challenge: Set a specific and measurable goal/challenge for your paper airplanes to meet (goes furthest, stays in air longest, etc.) and see who can create a plane that meets the challenge!

Math Baseball – Morning Meeting Activities with an Academic Focus
I usually keep my morning meetings focused on community-building, social-emotional learning, and warming up for the day, but I will occasionally incorporate some content review. Math Baseball is one of my students’ favorite games to play, and it’s easy to use for whatever standards you need to review! All you need is some flashcards and three chairs. Here’s how to play:
Line students up in two lines facing you. Put the three chairs around the classroom to look like a baseball diamond. Where the students are is home plate, then you’ll have a first, second, and third base.
Show the first two students (the first in each line) a flashcard and have them solve the problem and say the answer. Whoever answers correctly first advances to first base. The other student goes to the back of his/her line.
Keep playing and advancing students – the student on first base will move to second, etc. When students move to home base, they get a point (they keep track individually) and go to the back of a line. Play as long as you’d like!
If you want to play this while keeping your distance, have students stand further apart and just stand by the “bases.” You could play this with other content too – I think vocabulary baseball could be a great idea!
Active Tic-Tac-Toe – An Activity to Build Critical Thinking and Teamwork Skills
I picked up a tic-tac-toe board in the Target dollar spot, and it has been awesome to use in the classroom! This activity is a classic game with a twist that pushes students to think quickly and work as a team! I would say that this is best for 3rd Grade and up.
Before starting, make sure your students understand how to play tic tac toe. Split the class into two teams and have them line up in two lines on one side of the classroom. Give one team the X pieces and the other team the Os. Place the tic tac toe board on the other side of the classroom.
On your go, have the first student in each line run over to the board and place their piece in a square and run back to tag the next student. As they put pieces on the board, they are trying to get 3 in a row. If each team puts down all of their pieces without getting a tic tac toe, the next students in the lines go and move one piece into a different square. This continues until one team gets three in a row!
This one is a little harder to do while social distancing, so I recommend playing it on the board and giving each student an expo marker instead! It’s fun to see how their brains work and if they play offensively or defensively!
Alibi – One of My Top Pics for Morning Meeting Activities in Fourth Grade
I love Alibi because it requires students to be creative and listen to each other! It doesn’t require any materials and is such a fun Morning Meeting game to have in your arsenal. Perfect for fourth graders who are working on justifying their answers too! Here’s how to play:
Choose one student to be the detective. S/he has to go outside for a second while you choose one other student guilty of committing the “crime.” The detective will have to determine who the guilty person is through questioning.
The detective reenters the room (everyone is sitting in a circle), and you make up an elaborate silly crime committed. (Example: I walked into my classroom this morning just like every other morning, and it was BOOBY-TRAPPED! Someone set traps up so I would be splashed with orange juice and fall into a pool of marshmallows before getting covered with chocolate sauce! Detective, can you figure out who did this?)
Then, the detective goes around the circle, and everyone comes up with an alibi that tells why they couldn’t have committed the crime and were innocent. S/he asks everyone again, and all the students say the same answers except for the guilty student who changes his/her alibi.
If the detective guesses correctly, s/he wins!

All-Russian competition of research and design work for schoolchildren “Aerobatics”
The competition is held in 25 directions. Students of grades 8–11 who are taking their first steps in science and project activities and wishing to receive a professional expert assessment of their work are invited to participate.
Tournament “Wise Raven”
The organizer is the educational program “History”, for students in grades 8-11. You will test your knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, learn how to work in a team, and you can get extra points when you enter the undergraduate program at the Higher School of Economics – Perm.
Public speaking competition in English and German HSE Talks-2023
The Department of Foreign Languages of the National Research University Higher School of Economics – Perm, together with the MAOU Secondary School No. 12 with in-depth study of the German language in Perm, holds a competition of public speaking in English and German – HSE Talks. Registration is until January 15th.

Activities for children and adults at My School
In the summer of 2021, “My School” was opened in the Commandant’s House, an educational project for children from 3 to 15 years old. From September to May, there is an elementary school for children from 7 to 11 years old (grades 1-4) and a preparatory zero grade for preschoolers. Every day the school hosts “Workshops” – creative, sports, and scientific circles, as well as classes to develop soft skills . Every vacation at the school arrange city camps. In 2023, the school opened several directions for adults.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
“My school” in the Commandant’s House begins enrollment in grades 1-5 of elementary school. There are no calls, grades and homework at school, but there is a comfortable space for development and creativity. Teachers and psychologists not only teach the school curriculum (“My School” meets all standards and graduates receive a state document), but also reveal the potential of children, giving them the opportunity to try themselves in different roles and different disciplines. There are 12 students in the classes, and an individual program is selected for each student.

Monday-Friday: 09:00-17:00, Saturday: 11:00-15:00
There is a playroom at My School. Here you can leave your child to have fun and useful time: together with professional teachers, children can work with Montessori materials, build models from a wooden constructor, paint and sculpt from plasticine in the creative zone, play educational board games.

KINDERGARTEN
Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Kindergarten started working at My School. Here, children gently adapt to the school space and master skills useful for preschoolers, engage in creativity, work with natural materials, develop speech, memory, logic and fine motor skills, socialize, learn to build friendships, express their emotions and accept others. All this in the format of games, discussions, performances and walks. Summer kindergarten programs will be devoted to time – antiquity in June, the era of scientific discoveries in July and the future in August.

SUMMER CAMP
June 5 – August 18
11 shifts dedicated to different areas of art and science: theater, history, fashion, medicine, cinema and others. Each shift in the city camp lasts 5 days. During this time, the children will prepare a project that they will present on the final day: they will make a film, put on a play, arrange a concert or street art exhibition.

WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
Workshops for children from 7 to 15 years old continue to work in My School. Participants are engaged in creativity, sports and science, develop flexible skills that help in their studies and in life, get acquainted with journalism, design, painting, dance, art history and other topics.

SUNDAY GAMES WITH CAMP TEAM
Once a month on Sundays “My School” hosts events from the leaders of the camp. For participants of past camps, this is an opportunity to meet with their favorite hosts, and for new guys – to get to know the camp team and have a great day off. Each activity helps develop soft skills. An evening of dilemmas teaches you to think critically and look at situations from different angles; on quests, children learn to share responsibility, negotiate and work in a team; and economic games train logic and financial literacy.
