6-figure salary, no severance: What an FBI director has to lose
[6]
The FBI director can qualify for the normal federal retirement plan. But presidential appointments aren’t eligible for severance pay
The FBI director job was a step down in pay from his previous roles as general counsel for an aerospace giant and a hedge fund, even though the role is a level III position in the executive schedule. According to the Office of Personnel Management as of 2017, that should have an annual salary of $172,100.
But unlike other federal employees, it doesn’t appear that Comey has any severance package coming his way.. The president appoints the FBI director for a typical 10-year term, and the Office of Personnel Management says presidential appointments aren’t eligible for severance pay

Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
[8]
|Term length||10 years, renewable (only by the Senate)|. The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a United States’ federal law enforcement agency, and is responsible for its day-to-day operations
The director briefed the president on any issues that arose from within the FBI until the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 was enacted following the September 11 attacks. Since then, the director reports in an additional capacity to the director of national intelligence, as the FBI is also part of the United States Intelligence Community.[5]
The FBI director is appointed by the president and, since 1972, subject to confirmation by the Senate.[2][3][7] J. Edgar Hoover, appointed by President Calvin Coolidge to the predecessor office of Director of the Bureau of Investigation in 1924, was by far the longest-serving director, holding the position from its establishment under the current title in 1935 until his death in 1972

[10]
Christopher Wray, the nominee for FBI Director, must really want the job. He certainly isn’t doing it for the money, considering that if he is confirmed for the position, he’ll be taking a pay cut of, well, nearly 100%.
According to his financial disclosure forms, that gig brought him a cool $9,241,463 … per year.. Compare that to the government salary of the FBI Director
Not too shabby compared to most folks, but almost nothing compared to Wray’s haul. If Wray’s paycheck is the same as Comey’s, that will be a decrease of 97.99 percent from what he’s used to.

WHAT SKILLS DOES THE DIRECTOR OF THE FBI HAVE TO POSSESS?
[13]
WHAT SKILLS DOES THE DIRECTOR OF THE FBI HAVE TO POSSESS?. As the leader of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), an organization that is meant to be trusted with some of the most sensitive information in the country, the vetting process for determining what individual should be appointed Director of the FBI is one that does not allow for a very wide margin of error.
In order to be recognized as a credible and dependable individual for leading the FBI, nothing less than the highest qualities of observational skills, organizational skills and resourcefulness are acceptable. Though the Director of the FBI may not actively participate in as many hands-on field operations as their subordinate agents, their supervisory role is absolutely essential for making sure that all Bureau personnel are able to act as a cohesive unit.
No matter how competent certain individuals in the FBI may be when it comes to specific skills, the overall ability of the FBI to carry out its role for the benefit of the country is only possible if all personnel are kept on the same page about the top priorities. A competent and dependable FBI director can bring the best out of all personnel in the Bureau, creating a mutually beneficial system of accountability and efficiency.

– Donald Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, was searched by the FBI Monday night.. – FBI Director Christopher Wray, who approved the raid, was nominated by Trump.
Christopher Wray, the FBI director who greenlighted the search of Mar-a-Lago was picked for the job by then-President Donald Trump in 2017. . At the time Trump called him a man of “impeccable credentials.” Today, Wray is facing pressure for the FBI’s Monday night actions, which Trump supporters are calling “unprecedented.”
Trump, who was at Trump Tower while the search was conducted, called the FBI search an “unauthorized raid in my home.”. Legal experts told Insider that the FBI likely found “pulverizing” evidence in the former president’s residence when searching his home office and even his safe.
How To Become An FBI Agent: Qualifications, Steps And Salary

FBI Director James Comey Testifies on “Going Dark”
[20]
FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee (SJC) and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) today on “Going Dark” and the balance between public safety and privacy. Director Comey didn’t say much that was new in his testimony, but there are a few things we picked up on.
What they want is to work with companies to create a solution that would allow them to access data when they have a warrant for it through the communications companies.. 2) SJC – Director Comey reiterated his view that there must be a technical solution to both allow the FBI access to encrypted messages and ensure the strongest possible security for digital communications
3) SJC – Senator Jeff Flake asked, in the event that Congress decides that there is no way to provide a backdoor to law enforcement, what other means law enforcement has to ensure national security? Comey replied that he did not have a good answer to that question, but it might make sense to pass stronger laws to compel people to decrypt their own communications, although that runs into problems under the fifth amendment. Law enforcement might also be able to make more aggressive use of social media combing tools and undercover operations.
The FBI Has Always Been Political
[21]
For six long years, Donald Trump has been at war with the FBI. During the 2016 campaign, he complained of foot-dragging in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, demanding that the bureau “lock her up” without supporting evidence
Since then, we have been through the Russia inquiry, the Mueller Report, the January 6 investigation and the Mar-A-Lago raid, none of which have improved the situation. In November, the Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee issued a 1,000-page report complaining that the FBI has become “politicized” beyond recognition
The ferocity of this back-and-forth reflects our hyperpartisan times, when apparently nothing—not the law and certainly not the facts—seems to rise above the political fray. But tension with the White House, and with political candidates, is also part of the FBI’s history

Pengertian Central Processing Unit (CPU)
a. Mengatur dan mengontrol alat input (masukan) dan output (keluaran).
b. Mengambil instruksi dari memori utama.
Percabangan Instruksi
Pemrosesan instruksi di CPU dibagi menjadi dua tahap, Tahap-I disebut Instruction Fetch, sedangkan Tahap-II disebut Instruction Execute.

FBI director James Comey dismissed in the USA — RealnoeVremya.com

US Bureau Director James Comey fired after investigating Clinton’s correspondence and American President’s ties with Russia
On the eve it became known that US President Donald Trump removed FBI Director James Comey from his post. Comey received the news of his resignation in a note by courier. It noted that the suspension was effective immediately, and the reason for this verdict was Comey’s inability to effectively lead the FBI. Realnoe Vremya tells about what Trump thanked James Comey for, and what Russia has to do with it.
What is the FBI
The FBI is the governing body of counterintelligence and counterterrorism activities in the United States. The founding date of the organization is July 26, 1908. The original name was the Bureau of Investigation, later the body was renamed the United States Bureau of Investigation, and after merging with the Bureau of Prohibition Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI is part of the US Department of Justice and the US Intelligence Community and reports to the Attorney General and the country’s Director of National Intelligence.
Inefficient work
It became known yesterday that US President Donald Trump removed FBI Director James Comey from his post. According to the press service of the President of the United States, Trump made such a decision on the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy Rod Rosenstein. Sessions advised the head of state to appoint a more experienced and qualified specialist as the head of the bureau. It was Comey’s inability to effectively lead the FBI that was cited as the official reason for his resignation.

James Comey, now 56, was appointed FBI chief Barack Obama in June 2013. Previously, he served as a New York federal prosecutor and deputy chief attorney. Before leaving for the FBI, Comey worked as a chief adviser for Lockheed Martin Corporation, as well as for the investment company Bridgewater Associates. In addition, Comey holds a Juris Doctor degree.
“Thus, I recommend removing James Comey and finding an experienced and qualified person who will lead the excellent people of the FBI,” TASS quotes the words from Sessions’ letter to Trump. Probably, the States are still waiting for the appearance of a new Edgar Hoover, who led the FBI for 37 years.
Inconvenient subordinate
In 2004, James Comey, as Deputy Attorney General of the United States, denied the White House administration the resumption of the program of surveillance of telephones and e-mails of citizens without court order. Robert Mueller, who headed the FBI before Comey, was repeatedly accused by the press of illegally wiretapping telephone conversations and tracking credit histories and Internet traffic of Americans. As a result, the FBI admitted in 2007 that the agency obtained personal information about US citizens without authorization.
Curiously, in 2004 Comey said no to his future colleagues.

Hilary tripping
In 2016, the Comey case was filed against Hillary Clinton. The then Democratic presidential candidate was accused of violating official correspondence rules. Clinton conducted her work emails through her personal email. Clinton later stated that it was this investigation that caused her defeat in the election, blaming Comey.
At the same time, the case against Clinton was closed in July 2016 unilaterally. That is, Komi did not hand it over to his immediate supervisor, the Prosecutor General. Comey himself said that “no sane prosecutor would take a case” of Hillary Clinton’s emails because they lacked “an intent to commit a crime.” In that case, why make a fuss?
But less than two weeks before the election, Comey announced that the FBI would investigate the case.
If it weren’t for the elections, would Komi be left behind?
Trump himself was not untouchable for Comey. In March 2017, the head of the FBI announced that his agency was investigating Trump’s alleged ties to Russia and Russia’s possible influence on the US presidential election.
Trump accused Obama of having already ordered the FBI to listen to his headquarters. In March of this year, Comey in the US Congress denied this information, while talking about the possible influence of Russia on the last presidential election in the United States.
Note that Trump, in the same note, thanked Comey for the fact that the head of the FBI notified the US president several times that he was not under investigation.
