Background on SJUSD Boundaries:
SJUSD has changed school boundaries on occasion as student population has declined and schools have been closed or consolidated as a result.
Boundaries are also subject to change as we work to align feeder patterns and improve articulation throughout the district.
When adjusting boundaries following guiding principles are used:
To establish student enrollments appropriate to each school’s capacity and program(s).
To strive for a balanced enrollment among our schools over time.
To consider boundary changes as student housing needs change, and/or as growth or decline occurs within an attendance area and analyze the impact which may result from these change(s).
To consider the rate of development activity and student population shifts occurring within existing and proposed attendance area boundaries.
To consider distances and school or public transportation routes for new schools.
To acknowledge that boundaries in SJUSD have and will continue to be fluid and change over time.

Description
The elementary school of the Akademicheskaya Gymnasium network is located in a separate building, has its own closed territory, and is equipped with playgrounds. Primary school (grades 1-4), includes in-depth study of English from the 1st grade. From the 4th grade, part of the lessons are taught in English.
The program is strengthened by the gymnasium component, the study of basic subjects takes place according to an in-depth program. English is taught by English teachers and a native speaker.
The school provides 5 meals a day. Cooking at the Academic Gymnasium is carried out in its own specialized catering departments, equipped with combi steamers and electric steam boilers. The diet of pupils consists only of fresh, environmentally friendly products. Semi-finished products, canned food, frozen foods, pork and pork products are completely excluded from the diet.
The educational institution has a twenty-day menu cycle, when dishes are not repeated more than once in 20 days. For children with a special type of diet, according to the instructions of the attending physician, an individual menu is provided.
Video surveillance is carried out on the territory, passages to the territory are recorded. All safety measures are observed, a certified full-time medical worker and a child psychologist are present at the school.

Signs of the temperament that an adult will have begin to show even before he can speak. But how can we use this knowledge?
A person’s personality is formed under the influence of many factors. Who you are now has been influenced by your genes, your friends, the school you attended, and more.
But when exactly did your personality begin to take shape? If you are shy now, does that mean you were that way as a child?
Most likely, yes. Research shows that the behavioral tendencies that a child exhibits a few months after birth are closely related to his future personality.

This does not mean that a person’s character is formed at such an early age and does not change with time. Nevertheless, the main features of his personality can be discerned and tracked already in the very first days of a child’s life.
Psychologists who study children usually use the term temperament rather than personality. One of the first scientific works in this area was a long-term study called the New York Longitudinal Study, which began in 1950 in New York.
Within its framework, a married couple of psychologists, Stella Chess and Alexander Thomas, observed 133 children from birth to the age of 30, and also interviewed their parents.
Based on the findings, the researchers proposed nine key aspects of infant temperament, including activity levels, mood, and distractibility.
They also noticed certain patterns in the assessment of some parameters, and based on them, three groups of children were identified.
It should be noted that at that time political correctness was not as important as it is now, so these groups were given the following names: children with a difficult temperament, children with a light temperament, and “slowly warming up” children.

Do these types of temperaments determine a person’s future personality type? The New York study found that children who had an easy or difficult temperament at age three tended to fall into the same groups in their older adolescence.
However, researchers have not explored the actual relationship between childhood temperament and adult personality.
In fact, psychologists who study infant temperament and psychologists who study adult personality types have had no common ground for a long time.
The situation began to change only during the last decade. Despite the fact that it is impossible to accurately determine the type of personality in the future by the temperament of an infant, these categories are undoubtedly interconnected.
It is also worth noting that systems for assessing infant temperament have changed over time.
Today, the original nine aspects of temperament have evolved into three broad categories (unfortunately, sometimes scientists from different psychological laboratories call them differently).
These are: “control requiring effort”, describing the infant’s ability to control himself and pay attention (for example, resist the temptation of an interesting toy), “negative affectivity”, related to the level of negative emotions such as fear and frustration, and ” extraversion” or “dynamism”, referring to the level of activity, arousal and sociability.
This year, the online version of the Personality and Individual Differences journal published a study by Russian scientists in which 45 parents took part.
They were asked to rate their children’s temperament at a few months of age (seven months on average) and then reassess the child’s personality at about eight years of age based on core adult personality traits such as extraversion and neuroticism.

Comparing these indicators, scientists have identified a number of patterns: a lower result on the adult scale of neuroticism (that is, they showed greater emotional stability).
At the same time, infants who scored higher on a scale equivalent to the effort-requiring control scored higher in childhood on the “adult” characteristic of neatness.
So if your child has a high degree of attention span, that’s good, as he’ll likely keep his room tidy when he’s a little older.
However, some results from this study were inconsistent. For example, smiling and more outgoing infants did not show high levels of extraversion as adults.
This reminds us yet again that the temperament we have in infancy does not always stay with us as we grow older.
Be that as it may, the obtained results reinforce the increasingly unanimous opinion of scientists that “characteristics of temperament, manifested in the first years of life, become the foundation for the formation of a person’s personality.”
Surprisingly, some connections can span as much as four decades.
In another study published in 2007, researchers in the Czech Republic assessed the temperament of infants at slightly older ages, between 12 and 30 months, and found a rather interesting relationship between the personality traits of the same individual when retested 40 years later. .
These are disinhibition in infants (this parameter is similar to the more commonly used scale of extraversion or dynamism) and extraversion in adults.
This means that if participants were active and independent in infancy, they are more likely to exhibit high levels of extraversion and self-efficacy as adults.
And if the child is the father of a person (so wrote the poet William Wordsworth), then, as the researchers stated, it is worth adding to this quote: “… the baby is his close relative.”
When reading these studies, it is important to remember that a person’s personality is constantly developing, albeit according to certain laws, and it is impossible to determine the specific moment when a person’s personality, formed in youth, became an adult person’s personality (among other things, this will depend on At what age is a person considered an adult?
But there is something more or less definite. As the infant grows and becomes a child, his personality is gradually formed. Wait until he is, say, three years old, and then his behavior is more likely to tell you what he will be like when he grows up.

This is evidenced by the results of a study published in 2003, in which scientists from the Institute of Psychiatry in London compared the behavioral parameters of a thousand three-year-old children, measured in 1975-1976, with the personality parameters of the same people when they reached the age of 26 years.
Based on the specified parameters, they divided the participants into several groups: “balanced”, “with insufficient control”, “confident”, “suppressed” and “restrained”.
This time – almost three decades later – many surprising patterns have been discovered. To take just one example, the confident kids became adults with the highest levels of extraversion, while the shy kids had the lowest.
Those who have children of their own and people who spend a lot of time with children know how tempting it is to look for signs of incipient personality traits in a baby’s smile or frown.
Recent research in psychology shows that there is some common sense in this.
Researchers are increasingly finding evidence that psychological problems in adults may be based on behavioral tendencies that first appeared in early childhood.
Perhaps by learning to recognize these signs, we can carefully intervene in these processes and help children grow up to be healthier people.

Which parents tend to choose silence and neglect as punishment for their child? Family psychologist Olga Romaniv answers: “As a rule, two types of parents resort to such tactics. First of all, authoritarians, who simultaneously demonstrate their power over the child along with the tactics of total ignore – it depends on them whether to talk or not, when to start talking = to forgive the child. A family psychologist explains which parents tend to choose punishment by shouting: “People who are unrestrained, emotional, who hardly manage to control themselves turn to shouting. In some ways, these people are not bad and often really want the best for their children, but they do not have the patience or opportunities to get their thoughts across in a calm manner. Olga Romaniv warns parents what such tactics in education can lead to:
“Screaming plunges a child into a state of stress, fear, increases the level of nervousness.

When the child crossed the borders once again, they yelled again. And the child is constantly between two states – permissiveness, on the one hand, punishment by screaming, on the other. The psychologist also noticed that children always copy the behavior of their parents or other significant adults. Insults
Some parents scold children for mistakes without choosing expressions. 18-year-old Marusya from Moscow admits that rude words have long become the norm in her family: “We have an interesting relationship. Public humiliation

“My parents often went on business trips, and I was mostly raised by my grandmother. She constantly repeated: “While the mother is gone, let other people listen to what you are doing!”. The fact that I stole cigarettes from my grandfather at the age of ten was known to the whole district, and each of the neighbors made their own verdict on how best to punish me. And once we were on the train to Moscow and my grandmother loudly scolded me for putting on a dirty T-shirt and looking around, probably in search of sympathetic looks. As my mother said, my grandmother does this because she loves and cares for me.
According to Olga Romaniv, all parents who consciously practice this tactic have something in common.
“This is what insecure people do who constantly need the approval and support of someone else from the outside. Such people do not take responsibility, preferring to shift it onto someone else’s shoulders, ”says the psychologist.
The expert also emphasizes that unrestrained, emotional people who do not notice others, as they are too carried away by the situation, can publicly punish their child. It is quite possible for these parents to say “be quiet”, and they (unlike parents who deliberately punish children in public) are able to realize that they did something wrong.

By and large, a responsible parent cannot behave so irresponsibly.”
An expert explains how such upbringing tactics affect the child’s psyche:
“Such behavior knocks the ground out from under the child’s feet, deprives him of confidence in the future, and he feels defenseless, in some ways even lost.

Ramsey County provides financial assistance through the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) to parents who can’t afford child care. CCAP provides child care assistance to families who have been on the Minnesota Family Investment Program or Diversionary Work Program in the last 12 months and to others who meet income guidelines on a sliding scale.
Funds are available for children up to age 12, and for children with special needs up to age 15.
Parents receiving child care assistance may pay part of the child care cost based on income and size of family.

We finished the regular season as regular season champions with 60+ points, in first place, while Newcastle finished in eighth place, jumping into the playoff zone in the last rounds of the regular season.
In head-to-head meetings, London Lions also beat Newcastle with a big hyperfore already two home personals in a row, both times with a handicap of thirty, 29 is enough here.
Newcastle are a passenger in this play-offs, and they must take the second match at home, although they know that they will sweep one way or another.

Descriptive Stories – Use some really
powerful adjectives here to help make it clear. Look at the picture. Using vivid adjectives, write a story about the picture. Include five or more vivid
adjectives in the story. Circle the vivid adjectives.
A Day at the Beach – Toes in the
sand! Add a descriptive adjective to each underlined noun to make each sentence more interesting. Use
adjectives from the word box or think of your own. Rewrite the narrative story using your new adjectives.

Deserted Island – Imagine that you and your friends went fishing but got lost and found a deserted island. Look at
the picture and pretend that you are there. Write sentences describing what you would see,

Scary House on the Hill – Everybody
has that scary house in their neighborhood. Tell us about it. Look at the picture. Pretend you and your friends are playing outside and the ball goes over the
fence into the yard of the empty house next door. Continue the story with a middle and end
telling the reader what happens next. Make sure to write in first person, using describing
adjectives and action verbs to make the story come alive. Use transitions to make your story
flow.
Write a Letter – That is clear
and concise. Also the letter needs to have an objective. When you write a letter, it has a purpose. Look at the letters. Decide if the letter should be persuasive, business or friendly.
Write a short letter to that person and make sure to include the main parts: heading, greeting, body, closing and signature.
Essay Writing – My favorite
pet – If you do not own a pet, write about a pet you would like
to take care of.
How to Make an Ice Cream
Sundae – You will write directions to the recipe of your ice
cream sundae.
Crazy Talk – Sometimes
we need to change or add more to sentences to help them read smoother
and quicker.
A Perfect Ending –
Using your imagination, write the ending to the story. Use describing
adjectives and action verbs to make your story interesting to the

if you will be writing to explain, persuade or entertain. Answer the
prompt in complete sentences and make sure to include reasons, details
or reasons.

11. All underlining should be done with a sharpened simple pencil along the ruler (in some types of work, underlining without a ruler is allowed).
12. The transition of students to work in notebooks in a wide range occurs in the 3rd grade. It is allowed to switch to work in notebooks in a wide range in the 4th quarter of the 2nd grade (at the discretion of the teacher, if the student has a successfully formed writing skill).
Mathematics
1. Between classroom and homework, 4 cells should retreat (on the 5th cell we start writing the next work). 2. Between the types of tasks in class and homework, 2 cells should be indented. 3. 1 Monster Game
The students are instructed to draw a monster on a piece of paper. On a separate sheet of paper, the students are instructed to describe the monster they have just drawn. When this is finished, all students pair up. The students are instructed to take turns reading the descriptions of the monster, while the partners draw the descriptions as they are read. When this is finished and all students have read their descriptions, the drawings of monsters are compared to the originals.
2 Circle Skip Counting
The teacher instructs the students to stand in a circle. The teacher chooses a number to count by (twos, threes, fours, etc), and picks a starter player. Beginning with the starter player and moving around the circle, each student says the next number in the sequence. Any student that says an incorrect number sits out until all students have been eliminated and a winner is declared.
3 Community Ball Toss
The teacher instructs students to stand in a circle. The teacher throws the ball (if indoors, use a squishy, non-bouncy ball) to a starter student, then the students are instructed to put their hands behind their back once they have had the ball, and the ball is tossed around until all students have had the ball just one time. The last student to receive the ball sends the ball back to the teacher. Next, the teacher sends the ball back to the same starter student, and the ball is tossed in the same sequence it was thrown in previously. The sequence is repeated once or twice, and then gradually the teacher begins to throw more balls into the circle, again following the same sequence, until there are five or six balls being thrown in the circle, at different points in the sequence.
4 Guess My Number
The teacher puts up a number line and says, “I am thinking of a number between…[insert two numbers]”. For example, the teacher thinks of the number 18. The teacher says, “I am thinking of a number between 5 and 33.” The teacher shows this on the number line with a sticky-note placed on 5 and a sticky note placed on 33. One student guesses a number–for example, 24. This is not the correct number, so the teacher moves the outer sticky note from the number 33 to the number 24, and says, “I am thinking of a number between 5 and 24”. This continues until the number has been guessed.
5 Sight-Word Bingo
This game is played just like ordinary Bingo, but the numbers have been replaced with sight-words. Each student is given a laminated card with a grid of sight-words on it (the center square is the “FREE SPACE”). The teacher draws the sight words from a hat, and the students mark the words on their laminated cards (with bingo chips or dry-erase markers) as the words are called. The first student who gets a line of marked words down his Bingo card shouts out “Bingo!” and wins the round.

Classroom Talent Show
Your class is filled with fantastic students, each with their own special talents and gifts. Let them show off their skills to the class by hosting a classroom talent show!
3. Teach the Teacher
Turn the tables, and allow the students to become the teacher! Each student will pick a subject on which they feel they are an expert (building a Minecraft world, playing Happy Birthday on the keyboard, showing how to take care of a goldfish – really, anything goes!). The students must prepare a lesson plan and a five-minute presentation on their topic of expertise, and teach the class! This is great for practicing oral presentation skills, building confidence, and sharing individual interests with peers.
4. Make your own board game/Board Game Day
Did you know that students who play board games regularly have stronger math, problem-solving, and communication skills than those who don’t? We should all be playing board games regularly!
For this activity, have students design and make their own board game. To start, have a board game day in the classroom, where students can take turns playing board games (from your classroom collection or they can bring in their favorites from home).
Study the different types of board games, and think about what a fun board game needs (game pieces, cards, dice, spinners, etc.). Then students will design their own games. When the project is complete, have another board game day when they can teach their game to the class and take turns playing together.

5. STEM Arcade Day
Have you heard the story of Caine’s Arcade? A boy used his imagination and building skills to make an arcade – entirely out of cardboard! Watch the inspirational video with the class, then have each student create their own cardboard arcade game. When all the games are complete, let the students have a “fun pass” by trying out each other’s games!
6. Book Character Parade
This event can be done around Halloween, Read Across America Day, or any time of the year! Students will dress up as a beloved book character for the day, and parade around the school. Encourage students to bring in the character’s book. This can also be a great exercise and review about character traits! Each student can write a small list or give a presentation about their favorite character and why they chose to dress like them.
7. Dance Party
Get grooving with dance party day! Make a playlist of students’ favorite songs and listen throughout the day. Play a setlist of favorite Go Noodle Dances. Learn how to do a group dance (think Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.). Do you have a parent or community member who teaches dance? Invite them into the class to give a lesson. You can even hang up a disco ball or dance lighting to set the mood for the day!
8. Field Day
Take the fun outside with Field Day! Students can participate in classic relay games (potato sack, three-legged race, balance the egg on a spoon, water balloon toss, etc.), obstacle courses, and team games like kickball. Invite parents to help out and have a ball! Students will benefit from physical activity while practicing teamwork and fair play!

Weather Report Day
Today’s weather forecast is sunny with a chance of fun! Have each student research a different area in the United States, and some of the extreme weather that can be found there (think hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, blizzard, and extreme heat). Have students dress to impress, then give a live weather report to the class! For added fun, use a green screen and record students’ reports. Then they can add special effects videos! 10. Fort Day
This simple class reward is always a big hit! Have students bring supplies from home (sheets, pillow, etc.) and allow them to create their own desk fort for the day!
11. Pajama Day
Dream big with pajama day! Students will dress in their pajamas. For extra fun, they can even bring in a stuffed friend. Then kick back, relax, and learn!

Chesapeake is also home to several stops along the Civil War Trail. The Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is nationally recognized as a stop on the Underground Railroad, and also boasts a thriving outdoor community with thousands of unspoiled acres for kayaking, birding, and fishing.

Virginia Beach is a city on the East Coast of the United States. It is located in southeastern Virginia and is the largest city in the state.
Virginia Beach is one of the settlements that form the urban agglomeration of Hampton Roads (Hampton Roads), spread around the Chesapeake Bay. In total, about 1.7 million people live in this region. The first settlement within what is now Virginia Beach was formed in 1621, but the area was poorly developed for over a century. New York Times with a job offer, received letters with specific instructions: take a bus in the suburbs of New York to such and such a bus, drive to an inconspicuous factory-type building and ask for a certain Mr. Stevenson.
Neither diplomas, nor questionnaires, nor letters of recommendation were required from job applicants. They were asked to answer 163 different questions. Which is larger in area, Australia or Greenland? What wood are kerosene barrels made of? What is copra? What did James Watt invent? Which mountain is the highest in the world? And in America? It turned out that the famous inventor Edison was looking for employees and would hire those who correctly answered most of the questionnaire he had compiled.
The bulk of the candidates disappointed the employer. Of the 718 people who took the test, only 57 were able to correctly answer more than 70% of the questions (this was the threshold below which the inventor refused to work). And only 32 people gave more than 90% correct answers. Edison checked on his test and already working employees. Those who did not score the required number of points received a week’s salary and were fired.
Although the subjects were asked not to disclose the test questions to anyone, someone gave them to the newspapers, and wide circles of readers began to test their knowledge on the Edison questionnaire (Edison had to develop a new version for recruitment). Questions from the test began to be asked to celebrities and government officials, exposing gaps in their knowledge. With the light hand of Edison, all kinds of tests became fashionable. Kodak began to use a similar questionnaire when applying for a job. And the state of New Jersey began to subject everyone who wants to get into the civil service to a similar test. Later, psychologist Carl Brigham, developer of the New Jersey test, created a test for schoolchildren, the basic principles of which were used in many countries, and then led to the creation of our USE.
When Albert Einstein visited the United States in the same year, 1921, newspapermen attacked him with questions from Edison. After listening to these questions, the great physicist said that he did not intend to keep in mind, for example, the speed of sound, when its exact value can always be found in a reference book. From this incident, a common anecdote was born, according to which Edison, when meeting with Einstein, offered him several points of his questionnaire, and the scientist noted with chagrin that he would not have been able to get a job with Edison. This story got, for example, in the famous collection “Physicists are joking.” In fact, the two celebrities never met in person, although they spoke of each other with great respect in absentia.
In 1929, Edison announced a nationwide competition for the title of “America’s smartest schoolboy.” The jury included the inventor himself, Henry Ford, the pilot Charles Lindbergh and the founder of Kodak, George Eastman. The winner of the 49 finalists was 16-year-old Wilber Houston, who received a scholarship to continue his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Subsequently, Houston became one of the leaders of NASA, so in this case, Edison’s approach paid off.
