Work at Deloitte: device, tests, interview Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, DTTL, Deloitte, DTTL) is an audit firm that occupies a leading position in the Big Four of the world’s largest audit firms. Business activity is preserved, but completely withdrawn from the head structure of Deloitte. Under what name of the company the former employees of this company will work in Russia and Belarus is still unknown. Among the advantages of working in this company, Deloitte employees themselves name:
Career opportunities at Deloitte are proven by numerous examples. Most of Deloitte’s top executives, including its CEO Puneet Rengen, come from the bottom of the company. Moreover, most of the company’s managers receive their post before the age of 30, and the status of a partner is often up to 35 years. Disadvantages of working at DeloitteA characteristic feature of all large consulting and auditing companies is called a huge amount of work. The norm in these companies is the daily work of 10-12 hours. Overtime is not paid, but, on the contrary, without them it is impossible for Deloitte to comply with accepted standards and receive decent pay. Mistakes are followed by harsh criticism and deductions from salaries. Deloitte employees report that it is difficult for them to balance work and personal life. Deloitte is more suitable for young people who are ready to look at the monitor from dawn to dusk every day, giving up everything else. Overwork and nervous tension from responsibility often lead to exhaustion and disease. In Big 4 companies, there are frequent cases of problems with pressure, heart, eyes, nervous system in people under 30 years old. Deloitte employees often don’t have time for the gym, friends, dates and family, they only have work to do. It should be noted that the company is also trying to organize recreation for employees – the company has sports sections, clubs, and lounges in offices. Quite often, outdoor parties and holidays are held. We list the main problems in Deloitte regarding work: Pros and cons: conclusionsSumming up the list of advantages and disadvantages of working at Deloitte, its employees say that it is definitely worth getting a job at Deloitte. The main value of the Deloitte experience is that after it it will be easy for you to get a job and work in any other large foreign or Russian company of any profile. For example, if you conducted an audit or consulting for the metallurgical sector, it is likely that you will be hired there immediately for a good position. That is, as an intermediate career stage, Deloitte is one of the best options. Note that the company knows and uses such a strategy. New employees are in for a very difficult first 2-3 years – a lot of work and training is hung on them. However, according to employees, if a valuable specialist leaves Deloitte, the company helps him get a job in a new promising place – he gives good recommendations and advice on how to get hired. Consulting companies are always insured, they know that you can be a big shot, and it’s better to be friends with you. If you are young, ambitious and willing to work 80 hours a week, you will grow rapidly at Deloitte. By the age of 30-35, there is a real opportunity (according to our calculations, the chance is 1 in 25-30) to get the status of a Deloitte partner. And this is not just a salary, it is a percentage of the company’s profits. The average income of a partner is about 1 million euros per year, depending on the performance of his department. How to get a job at DeloitteHere are the words from the interview of Vedomosti newspaper with the CEO of Deloitte Global Punit Renjen in 2015: “60,000 specialists will be hired by our firm this year. We have 3.5 million resumes to consider, but we will only hire 2% of all applicants.” Concerning the qualifications of an applicant, Puneet Renjen remarked: “Broadly speaking, two aspects must be looked at. The first aspect is applied: your achievements in your studies, as well as everything that you have achieved, doing beyond the required program. The second aspect is personal: integrity of character, the ability to work in a team and manage it, as well as contribute to the common cause. I think a combination of both is needed.” According to HR Deloitte staff, applicants are required to:

How to search for a job on the Internet 6 details of a successful resume Testing at DeloitteDeloitte cooperates with SHL for tests. For each department Deloitte uses its own test, consisting of questions to test professional knowledge (accounting, finance, taxes), the level of knowledge of the English language, psychological, numerical, verbal and logical tests. Important : Some departments use testing entirely in English. That is, all tests will not be in Russian, but in English. For example, this practice is used in the Deloitte office in Kyiv. For Kyiv, and other offices, knowledge of the English level is not lower than Upper-Intermediate according to TOEFL. Questions in English are also taken from TOEFL questionnaires. It also happens that the initial interview in the Kiev office is also conducted in English, but most often in Russian. Testing is carried out in the office on company computers, usually with a group of applicants. The Deloitte Audit Department conducts the following tests – a 2-hour test on a computer with 6 sections:
Deloitte Operational & Strategic Consulting uses tests:
Testing in Deloitte Tax Department includes 2 stages, which are held on different days. To get to the second stage, you must first pass the first: Deloitte tax department professional test includes:
The Deloitte Test for Logical, Verbal and Numerical Ability serves as a step to test your ability to quickly and correctly read and understand texts, graphs and tables. According to staff, Deloitte tests are not difficult if you prepare for them. SHL Numeric Tests for DeloitteSHL numeric tests always contain graphs, tables and charts. You don’t need to solve complex calculations – only four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as the definition of fractions and percentages. We recommend repeating the principles of finding shares and percentages – if you have not solved mathematical problems for a long time, this can cause difficulties. These tests almost always include currency conversion tasks – pay special attention to this when preparing. 60-9 is given to solve one task0 seconds, usually in a numerical test 15-20 tasks. In SHL tests, it is allowed to switch from one question to another and back. Therefore, if a question is too difficult and it is not clear how to solve it, leave it and solve others, and return to it later if there is time. An example of a numerical test SHL See the answer and solution of this test at the bottom of the article. Try to solve the test yourself first. SHL verbal tests for Deloitte Many job seekers find Deloitte verbal tests difficult. Indeed, if you have not solved such tests before, it will be difficult for you to answer correctly in the set 60 seconds. Deloitte uses two types of verbal tests: 1. true-false-can’t-tell verbal tests Below you can see examples of both of these types of verbal tests from SHL. Deloitte verbal test examples True – false – can’t say: Analysis of verbal information: Answers and explanation of these tests see bottom of page. Try to solve the tests yourself first. Deloitte Logic TestsSample Logic Test See the answer and explanation of this test at the bottom of the article. Try to solve the tests yourself first. Deloitte Questionnaire and Psychological TestThese tests are designed to assess your general compliance with the company’s rules, its values, as well as to check the level of your communication skills, dedication and ability to lead. Psychological test of positions A1-A2 Deloitte: See the answers and explanation of this test at the bottom of the article. Try to solve the tests yourself first. Deloitte English Proficiency TestAs we mentioned above, the Deloitte test is based on the Upper-Intermediate TOEFL test. Usually there are 100 questions in the test, but the questions themselves, according to Deloitte employees, are not difficult. Usually they will include the following tasks:
The average passing score on the Deloitte English Proficiency Test is 75% correct. Note that most applicants score higher. A good score on this test counts towards your overall score on all tests. The definition of test criteria and passing score is usually announced before the start of the test. It might sound like this: a passing score on the logic test, numerical and verbal tests – 60%, on the professional test – 70% and on the English language test – 75%. If your results turned out to be 55%, 75% and 85%, then the HR department of Deloitte usually meets halfway and with such a result for the rest of the tests, it counts you 55% for numerical tests as a passing one. If the result of the applicant is 59%, 70% and 74%, then even such a small amount may not be enough to pass to the next stage. Therefore, we recommend that you carefully prepare for testing so that your result is 80-90% in all tests and you, as a candidate for a Deloitte vacancy, are out of competition. In some departments, the result of passing the test is reported immediately, and in some it is necessary to wait from 2 to 7 days until HR specialists finish analyzing the data of all applicants. Up to 80% of unprepared applicants are cut off during tests. Those applicants who have passed the test are invited to the first interview. Initial interviewIn recent years, this stage has been omitted in Deloitte regional offices – after the tests, you are immediately invited to an interview with the head of the department in which you want to get a job. But in Moscow, Kyiv and other capitals, the interview takes place in two stages:
The first interview will discuss your test scores and then the details of your resume. Questions might sound like this:
As you can see, most of the questions are about your personality and motivation. It is also very important to Deloitte that you can demonstrate teamwork skills and a focus on results. Final interview Deloitte’s second or final interview is an interview with the head of the department. This will be a more complex and lengthy conversation, which lasts an average of 1-2 hours. Tips from HRLider:
In the end, you will be told about the system of work in the company and how it will look like working in that particular position where you get a job. During the interview, you can and should ask questions, as this is your chance to find out if working at Deloitte meets your goals. We recommend that you read our article “8 Smart Questions for an Employer” In Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kyiv and Astana in recent years, Deloitte has introduced a new practice – business games (cases) and a cocktail party. According to the feedback of employees and applicants in the regions, this is not the case. It looks like this: After the case is defended, the cocktail party itself follows – informal communication with all participants and representatives of Deloitte and refreshments from the company. Everyone who participated in such a party notes that the atmosphere is very friendly. Managers of the company make contact with each candidate and allow them to ask them about any details you are interested in. Remember: in such an informal setting, work is also underway – they look at you and right at that moment a decision is made whether you will take a vacancy at Deloitte. Tip: try to show yourself as an adequate interesting person and communicate with managers and directors, they decide whether or not to hire you. If you remember, in a day you will receive a call from HR and a job offer. Remember: thorough preparation is the key to success. It’s bloody agony isn’t it? I’m at the same stage as you but it alternates from pain to just numb. I’m sorry I can’t be more positive for you. I’ve had so many things happen afterwards that the pain/numbness is the least of my problems sadly. All in all an awful experience. Share Report HarlotBronte · 25/03/2016 09:51 I did, particularly in an area not on the incision but some way above it on the right side. It was sporadic and not related to whether anything was touching the skin or not. Went away after a few weeks. Months later, I found out it was where my intestines are, and they move them out of the way for a section. So presumably the after effects of that. 24 days is still very soon afterwards for major abdominal surgery. I’d expect to see significant improvement within the next few weeks as things settle down. Nerves can be very funny little buggers. Share Report strangerjo · 25/03/2016 12:21 Thank you. I don’t think it’s intestine related but something to do with the cut nerves? OP posts: Share Report HarlotBronte · 25/03/2016 13:04 The nerve pain I had aside from the intestine stuff was gone after a few weeks. Baby is not long past one now and I certainly don’t feel anything now and haven’t for some time. Still some numbness but not pain, I think most people find the numbness lasts much longer. But we’re all different. If you don’t see any improvement I’d mention it at your six week check. Share Report thumb3lina · 25/03/2016 14:36 I have this, I mentioned it at my 6 week check and its to do with nerves being cut. I’m 14 weeks post c-section now and its not any better, sorry It might be better for other people though, hopefully it won’t last too long. I wear knickers which go above the scar and wear dresses (with tights pulled up to my bra ) or leggings or jogging bottoms at home as everything else rubs it. When its really bad I put a sanitary towel over the scar to protect it from rubbing. Share Report Advertisement strangerjo · 25/03/2016 15:15 Oh man, I was hoping for positive stories. OP posts: Share Report Advertisement strangerjo · 25/03/2016 15:16 If it’s to do with cut nerves, why don’t all c section mums experience this pain? OP posts: Share Report Laquila · 25/03/2016 15:20 Presumably because people heal at different speeds and experience pain in different ways. I had alternating burning pain and numbness for a good couple of months with my first EMCS, but have found recovery much quicker second time round (planned section.) Share Report HarlotBronte · 25/03/2016 15:49 I thought mine was quite positive! The numbness is no problem at all, it’s really not. I experience no issues at all from still being a bit numb 13 months post section. And people are so different, and not all sections are the same. Nerves aren’t uniform amongst human beings, neither are pain tolerances. It’s such early days yet. But it’s hard, it really is, to recover from any kind of difficult birth or complication when you have a baby to worry about too. It’s the toughest thing I’ve ever done. Share Report strangerjo · 25/03/2016 17:57 HarlotBronte – yes yours was, thank you! It is so so difficult recovering and looking after a newborn – I was looking for hope! I feel so alien. Three weeks post section now and I’m planning to drive in the week. My back is in spasm most of the time which is quite painful but I seem to have blocked it out a lot. It’s just the numbness I can’t deal with. Share Report FuzzyOwl · 25/03/2016 23:10 It is to do with nerves but mine has completely gone now (9. 5 months later) although the area still feels horribly numb when I touch it, but no pain at all. Share Report strangerjo · 27/03/2016 22:55 Mineofuselessinformation – thank you, that’s interesting to know…out of interest how long did that take to go. I imagine it was awful what with how much we use our hands. OP posts: Share Report cyinmin · 14/05/2016 16:49 Hi all – I just wanted to share my experience, I had the same burning sensation post c-sect. My doctor suggested I take neurobion which is essentially vitamin Bs to help with the healing of the nerves. I started seeing (or rather ‘feeling’) the difference only after 2 weeks or so, the burning sensation reduced tremendously one morning. My only regret is not asking my doc about this earlier and that I had to put up with that weird pain for weeks. I’m now 9wks post natal and I no longer feel that burning feeling anymore and I can wear my bottoms with regular waistband. Only the occasional numbness on certain spots but that’s ok by me. I bought the vitamin OTC where I lived and was advised by the pharmacist that it is safe to take up to 3x daily which I did for the first 1 month, and the excess will simply be excreted from our body. I plan to reduce to 1x daily pretty soon as I’m also taking in food rich in Bs. Perhaps you can also check with your doctor if they recommend the same? Okay friends, let’s talk about recovering from a C-section. If you had a C-Section, you will have a little more mending to do. A C-Section is considered major abdominal surgery, which takes approximately 6-8 weeks to fully recover from. Have no fear — you’ll be just fine! Recovering from a C-section is a rollercoaster of emotions and bodily fluids, but with a sense of humor and a lot of patience, you’ll make it through. It’s a journey that requires both physical and emotional healing. It is a time of vulnerability, where the body and spirit are in need of nurturing and care. The incision site may ache and throb, reminding one of the power of the surgeon’s hand and the miracle of life. The following accounts were written by various readers about their experiences with having and recovering from a C-Section — hopefully you’ll find some comfort as well as great tips from their stories.
Editor’s Note: There is more than one way that OBs can close your incision, so your incision may be very different than someone else’s, as noted by contributing OB, Dr. Jennie Hauschka:
A the end of the day, recovering from a C-section is a journey of transformation, a time of letting go of the old and embracing the new. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a reminder of the power of love. As Maya Angelou once said, “We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.” And so, with each passing day, the body and spirit grow stronger, and the journey continues. What should I do if my stomach hurts after a caesarean?Abdominal pain immediately after a caesarean section is quite normal, but if the pain persists for a long time, it is necessary to take measures to eliminate it. Which ones, says Passion.ru. Why can the stomach hurt after a caesarean sectionIf the stomach hurts after physical exertion – this pain is physiological. The fact is that the healing of the sutures is quite slow, and muscle tension can cause discomfort in the area where the incision was made. Until the scar tissue is fully formed, you should not get carried away with hard work around the house and actively play sports. A very common cause of pain can be accumulation of gases in the intestines . Abdominal bloating appears as soon as the intestines begin to actively work after surgery. Adhesions may affect the uterine cavity, intestines and pelvic organs. Adhesions develop as a result of increased release of a viscous fibrous substance fibrin in the area of the surgical suture, which leads to “gluing” of nearby damaged tissues. Breast milk stimulates the contractility of the uterus , therefore, during feeding, there may be a pulling pain in the lower abdomen and even a feeling of numbness in the projection of the uterus. Endometritis, or inflammation of the uterus , also causes pain. Unfortunately, a cesarean section, like any surgical intervention that affects the abdominal organ, can provoke inflammation of the inner layer of the uterus, the endometrium. What to do if your stomach hurtsAll women experience pain in the recovery period after a caesarean section, but the length of this period depends on many factors, including body type, age of the woman and comorbid conditions. The first few days are especially difficult, the pain occurs with any movement, when you try to turn around, get up, reach for the phone. Therefore, immediately after the operation, an ice pack is applied to the stomach, and, if necessary, the doctor prescribes medications appropriate to the case: painkillers that reduce gas formation, antibacterial, contracting the uterus, and others. There is no need to be afraid that analgesics will pass into breast milk and harm the baby, this will not happen in any case. In addition, you can try to alleviate your condition on your own, if you remember a few simple rules. How to relieve pain yourselfLearn how to turn around properly when lying in bed. To do this, you need to bend your legs and rest your feet on the surface of the bed, then lift your hips, turn them to the side and lower them. Then turn your torso to the same side. Turning around this way is much easier and your seams won’t be affected by the movement. You also need to get out of bed correctly: first you need to turn on your side, hang your legs off the bed and sit down. Move your legs for a couple of minutes, then gently stand up, keeping as straight as possible. The seams will stretch, but this should not alert you, take a few careful steps, keep your back straight. It will get easier each time. After anesthesia, in order to get rid of the mucus accumulated in the lungs, one has to cough, which is also quite painful. But you must do this, so try the following exercise: press the towel tightly against your seam, this will protect and strengthen it. Then take a deep breath and exhale sharply, drawing in your stomach. Repeat the exercise several times for an hour, especially if there is a feeling of “sobbing” in the lungs. In the first week after the caesarean section, special attention must be paid to the suture, it must be washed daily with an antiseptic solution and protected in every possible way from the slightest irritation. In case of increased gas formation in the intestines, when there is a feeling of “bloating”, you can do simple exercises: in a sitting position, try to rock back and forth while breathing deeply. This will help reduce the accumulation of gases and remove them. Drink enough fluids, water balance is disturbed during breastfeeding. In addition, it will help prevent constipation. And do not forget to empty your bladder on time: the more often you do this, the less chance you will give pain. Breastfeed as early as possible, but don’t forget to protect your inseam with a pillow. Do not rush to get behind the wheel of a car, sudden movements and tension – both physical and emotional – are completely useless to you. And consult your doctor about physical exercises: there are special postpartum complexes that allow you to quickly get back in shape, and at the same time get rid of some of the causes that lead to pain. Many OB/GYNs also advise against sex in the first 5-6 weeks after a caesarean section. But this does not mean that you should completely avoid intimate communication with your loved one. In the end, caress and tenderness have always been considered the best painkiller, and happiness and good mood will not leave pain any chance at all! How to cope with gas formation in the intestines after caesarean?. Multi-probiotic BAK-SETFlatulence is a common occurrence after a caesarean section. According to statistics, increased gas formation worries about 40% of women who have undergone this operation. With excessive accumulation of gases in the intestines and their slow discharge, there is a feeling of fullness in the abdomen and severe discomfort, and the quality of life deteriorates significantly. Why does gas production occur in the intestines after a caesarean section? How to solve a delicate problem? What drugs can be taken by a young mother? We will try to find answers to these questions. Causes of increased gas formation in the intestines after caesarean sectionThe main cause of flatulence is the abdominal operation itself. In 90% of cases, after surgery, the work of the intestine worsens: peristalsis is disturbed, digestion of food slows down, and a large amount of gases accumulate. Negative factors also include:
To get rid of flatulence, you need to adjust the diet. Pastries, legumes, all types of cabbage, whole milk, grapes should be excluded from the diet. You also need to move more: go for walks with your child, walk around the house more often. It is equally important to restore the microbial balance in the intestine after surgery and antibiotics. To do this, you can buy new generation probiotics in a pharmacy. Probiotics to restore the balance of microfloraBAK-SET Forte is a new generation probiotic produced in the UK. 3 Tips for Writing Child Care Resumes1. Choose the right format for your child care resumeAs a child care professional you probably have read the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. Just like everything has to be ‘just right’ for Goldilocks, the same goes for your resume. Before you write a resume, it’s necessary that you set it up for success by choosing the resume format that’s just right for your experience. There are three main resume format types: chronological, functional and hybrid. If you’re a child care applicant with a lot, five years’ experience or longer, you should use a chronological format. If this is your first child care job or you have less than two years’ experience, use a functional format. And, if you’re somewhere in the middle with more than two and less than five years’ working as a nurse, you should use a hybrid format. The main difference between the three formats is where the main focus is put on your resume. Chronological formats work well for people with a lot of experience because they put the emphasis on all the work experience you have. So, if you’re lacking experience, you should choose another format. Meanwhile, functional formats put the emphasis on your skills instead of your work experience as a smart way to cover your inexperience. As it indicates, a hybrid format is a halfway point between a functional and a chronological resume — for our purposes you can call it the “Goldilocks format” because it gives that just right balance to your work history and skills. 2. Promote your child care skillsEvery role in child care is going to be a bit different depending on the child or children that you’re working with and their parent’s expectations. However, there are certain skills that are welcome for any child care worker. We’ve included a list that highlights some of the most useful skills to mention in a child care resume. Include some of these sought-after skills in your resume as they apply to you. Desired skills for child care workers include: Juice up your resume with some of these important keywords where they apply to your experience and describe who you are as a child care worker. Here’s a failsafe tip: Study the exact language used in the ad or job posting and try to feature some of the same keywords and phrases that the employer uses if they’re relevant to job duties you perform. 3. Use a template to make sure your resume looks cleanStudies have shown that recruiters only look at a resume for an average of six seconds before moving onto the next one. If a resume is hard to read, it’s probably getting skipped. Using a template is an easy way to avoid this. A resume template is a preformatted document that was created by a professional designer. They took care of the design elements to make sure everything is well-presented and easy-to-read. For you that means creating a resume is a breeze. All you have to do is pick a template that you like and fill in your information. You’re saved all the time of tinkering with columns, borders, shading and fonts. JobHero has loads of resume templates that you can use to create your resume. Even easier, JobHero has a resume builder that lets you and then automates the process of filling in your information complete with auto-suggestions. Child Care Resume FAQWhat should I put on my resume for child care? For most jobs in child care, the focus of your resume should be on your work experience and skills. These sections should get the most space. An education section should also be included. Higher education isn’t required for most child care care roles, but if you have a certification in first-aid or CPR mention it because that kind of training is very important when it comes to child safety. You’ll also need to include the other resume basics like your contact information and a professional summary or objective. How do I list education on a child care resume? Most roles in child care will not require advanced degrees. However, your education is always an asset. In the realm of child care, more so than a formal education, it’s really desirable if you have completed recent training in CPR or first aid. It gives parents peace of mind to entrust their children with someone who can take action in an emergency situation.
To list your formal education, the following similar information is expected: The name of the school that you attended, its city and state, the years you attended, and, if applicable, the degree(s) you obtained. Typically, if you’ve graduated from college, you don’t need to list your high school education. Here’s an example: Drexel College Baltimore, MD Graduated 2017, BA English What kind of work experience should I put on a child care resume?
If you don’t have previous experience in child care, you can also mention work experience that you have from other jobs in different industries, such as working in a retail store or at a golf course. However, if you’re going to include work you did in other industries, try to feature the responsibilities that you were entrusted with. After all, parents want to know that the people they are leaving their children with are trustworthy people. So try to include experience that shows that you can be relied upon. How do I write a professional summary or objective statement for a child care resume?Professional summaries and objective statements both live at the top of your resume and serve as the primary argument you give as to why you’re a good candidate. The main difference between the two is that professional summaries are better for people with work experience in the child care industry, whereas objective summaries are better for people new to the industry. In either case, you don’t need to say too much. Just make a brief two to three sentence argument for why an employer should see find promise in hiring you. A professional summary does so by looking at your main achievements from past roles. A good example of a professional summary might look something like this: “Dedicated child care worker with 3+ years of experience has made a friendly impact at daycare centers I’ve worked at. My fun disposition has made me a hit with kids while my professional demeanor and first-aid certification bring parents reassurance.”
“Self-motivated caretaker seeks job at a preschool in order to be a part of care-focused and positive child development. My energetic nature and skills in activity planning, giving direction and social engagement will bring greater nurturing to your school. ”
Should I include a cover letter with my child care resume?Even if it’s not requested for the job, it’s always a good idea to include a cover letter when you submit your resume as it shows your professionalism and attention to detail. Not to mention, a cover letter gives you more space to discuss your child care skills and maybe tell a story about a successful child care position you had. If you need to see some good examples, JobHero has a library of child care cover letters that you can use to draw inspiration and create your own solid letter. Not to mention, we also have a step-by-step guide on how to write a cover letter that will give you all the tools you need to make sure your letter is on-point.

Career from educator to the head of a preschool organization – we tell you how to do it in 2021Educator is a unique profession that provides its owner with the opportunity to plunge into the interesting and wonderful world of childhood again! Today we will tell you not only how to become an educator, but also how to climb the career ladder to the head of a kindergarten, and also talk about the requirements for education and for each of the positions along the way. Kindergarten work – what does it consist of?
Educators are called teachers working in kindergartens, sports and summer camps, as well as in the field of additional education with children of preschool age. The authorities of our country are taking comprehensive measures in order to ensure the possibility of preschool education for all children under the age of 7 in 2021, so the demand for the profession of educator continues to gain momentum. Numerous tasks of preschool education can be defined as the upbringing and development of the younger generation. The goals of educational work in a preschool educational institution are:
Who can become an educator?
It is logical that not only their well-being, but also the prospects of our country directly depend on the level of education, upbringing and readiness of our children for adulthood. Therefore, work in a kindergarten is considered responsible and important and implies a high level of education among educators, the presence of certain qualities and unconditional love for children. An adult who does not have a valid criminal record, a mentally healthy person, a holder of a diploma of higher or secondary pedagogical education and a document confirming the mastered program of additional professional education in the relevant field, can educate preschoolers in the conditions of a preschool educational institution. The teacher is obliged to improve his qualification level every five years and know:
Additional knowledge (for example, the Montessori system, techniques for working with children with disabilities, speech therapy techniques) will help the educator to competently fulfill their duties and move effectively along their career path. Of course, the personal qualities of a specialist – discipline, responsibility, patience, creativity, sociability, love for children – will also be important criteria for success in educating the younger generation.
Who cannot work as an educatorIt must be remembered that without experience and experience it is possible to become a kindergarten teacher, but one cannot do without special education. A diploma from a pedagogical or psychological university is not enough; additional education is required to work with preschool children. You will not be hired by a kindergarten if you:
From teacher’s assistant to manager: career growth
Career development should be planned in advance in order to understand what specific actions will need to be taken in order to get the desired promotion. Let’s take a closer look at the educational requirements and professional responsibilities at each stage of a kindergarten teacher’s career. Teacher AssistantUsually people who want to work with young children get a job as an assistant teacher. This position is suitable for beginners and does not require any experience or specialized education. The assistant teacher is not involved in conducting classes with children, but is only responsible for the cleanliness of the kindergarten premises and performs the functions of a nanny. At this stage, there is a good opportunity to get education as an educator in order to secure a career in the future. An assistant educator is not always a young graduate of an educational institution, because a person at a more conscious age can also decide to change his profession. Junior caregiverIf you have a secondary specialized education or special courses, you can apply for the position of a junior educator. At this stage, the specialist already has a minimum pedagogical background, gets the opportunity to help a more experienced colleague and participate in classes for children. EducatorSpecialists in this position directly interact with preschoolers and set themselves the task of identifying the creative and mental potential, promoting the development and adaptation of children. Educators teach kids the rules of hygiene and behavior, conduct developing game classes, form communication skills with peers and adults, and prepare for school. In addition to children, educators communicate with their parents, keep the necessary documentation, monitor the condition of the kindergarten premises. If you already have a higher or secondary vocational education, but no work experience, then you can still start a career in a preschool institution right from this position by completing additional professional retraining courses (training in such courses lasts approximately 4 to 8 months). Educators confirm their qualifications every 5 years, and for the likelihood of rapid career and salary growth, they undergo certification in order to increase the category (there are three in total: 2nd, 1st and highest). Senior teacher, methodologistIf you have a diploma of higher education and at least two years of experience as an educator, you can apply for the position of senior educator (methodologist). The tasks of this professional level will be: to develop and implement methodological recommendations for pupils and their parents, plans, training programs. The duties of the senior educator also include reporting, planning all activities, monitoring the work of teachers and analyzing their qualifications and competencies. Head of preschool educational institutionThe next (and last) step is the head of the kindergarten. This profession is not a pedagogical one, but implies a full knowledge of all the processes of preschool education. It is the leader who is responsible for the proper care of the pupils, their level of education, health promotion, and safety in a kindergarten. Important fact! If your plans include eventually taking a leadership position – a college / technical school diploma will not be enough, higher education is mandatory. You can enroll in a university on a part-time basis in order to be able to combine study with work. In addition to higher education, you will need at least 5 years of work experience in the pedagogical field. It is clear that the most stringent requirements are imposed on the head of the preschool educational institution, because his duties include:
A set of personal qualities that will help you get to a leadership position will include: purposefulness, responsibility, the ability to organize work moments, stress resistance, leadership positions, and the ability to plan. A daily routine that will help you do everything and stay healthyProductivity December 26, 2017 Plan for the day, from 6 am to 10 pm, to enjoy life without sacrificing efficiency. Don’t be discouraged if at first you can’t follow the whole schedule. Over time, these things will turn into habits that will not be so easy to get rid of. 6:00. Wake upWake up and sing! If possible, immediately plunge into the rays of sunlight. 6:15 am. Think good thingsThink of two or three things in your life, no matter how important, that you are grateful for. You will be surprised how quickly your anxiety about the day ahead will disappear. 6:30. Get movingDo some simple exercises to get your blood moving. Then energize yourself with a protein shake, oatmeal, Greek yogurt, or eggs, especially hard-boiled eggs, to keep you going until lunchtime. 8:00 am. Get out of the houseYou can listen to a podcast or audiobook when you get to work. It is better to choose something unfamiliar – this will help to learn new things and keep the mind fresh. If you can’t enjoy your listening experience while on the road, do something useful. For example, think of a to-do list for the day, or mentally rehearse an upcoming presentation. 9:00. Get to workOrganize your workflow in such a way that you do not overload yourself and do not waste the positive energy generated in the morning. Once you’ve got your to-do list ready, turn off your phone, log out of email and social media, and get to work. As a last resort, try every 90 minutes turn on Do Not Disturb mode. 12:00. Restore your energyUse your lunch time to restore not only your body, but also your mind. Go back to what you listened to or read in the morning, or try some meditation. If you are an extrovert, then chat with colleagues – this way you will fill yourself with energy even more. If you have to have lunch at the computer while working, then at least the food is healthy. It could be a fresh vegetable salad, a lean meat roll, or just a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread. 15:00. Take a breakNo one canceled the afternoon productivity slump, but there is no reason to give yourself completely to it. Instead of eating something sweet or drinking an energy drink, take a break and take a short walk – at least near the office. If the craving to eat something is irresistible, then give preference to complex carbohydrates and lean proteins. The former contribute to the release of energy, the latter make you more alert. A great option is whole grain crackers with cheese, dried or fresh fruit, raw vegetables with hummus, or a nut mix. 18:00. Go homeThe working day is over, so leave work at work. It’s time to relax. If you don’t like morning exercise, then it’s time to go to the gym or go for a long walk with the dog. Alternatively, go somewhere where you can interact with people. Any activity that helps you forget about work will do. 19:00. Eat dinnerIt is best to eat at least three hours before you go to bed, otherwise the food will not have time to be digested before bedtime. Avoid foods high in fat and carbohydrates. Good sleep aids include salmon, whole grains, yogurt, and bananas. You may feel sleepy after swallowing a huge slice of pizza or a triple cheeseburger. But a restless “food coma” will never replace your healthy sleep. And, of course, try to avoid alcohol. 21:00. RelaxMeditation, a warm bath, a cup of herbal tea, or just a good book can help you unwind before bed. Try not to watch TV at night and do not check work documents on the computer. The blue light that comes from the screen disrupts circadian rhythms and prevents the brain from producing melatonin, a natural hormone that promotes good sleep. As a last resort, use a feature on your computer or smartphone that reduces blue light to a minimum. 22:00. Go to bedNo matter how hard you try to shield yourself from daytime stress at night, it can still overtake you. Various little things help in the fight against him. Turn the alarm clock with LED screen to the wall, and let the bedroom be cool (about 18 ° C) and dark (lack of light also helps to produce melatonin). Do not think about how to fall asleep as soon as possible – just breathe. If sleep is still in your eyes, turn on relaxing music or white noise, write something in your diary, or do a small and boring task that you constantly put off. Lesson 1. Correct daily routineHow to create a correct daily routine is one of the most important topics of a healthy lifestyle. Everyone is faced with the need to allocate their time. Sometimes, as in the case of work, this is a necessity. Sometimes, for example, when planning the most productive pastime or vacation, this is expediency. Proper daily routine includes the rational use of sleep, personal hygiene, nutrition, work, rest, sports and physical activity. Planning a daily routine and following it makes a person disciplined, develops organization and focus. As a result, a mode of life is also developed, in which the expenditure of time and energy on non-essential things is minimized. In this lesson, answers will be given to questions about the correct daily routine, the features of the influence of biological rhythms on the activity and efficiency of human activity, the main approaches and methods for compiling a daily routine for different people: men and women of different professions, adults, students and schoolchildren. Contents:
What is the routine of the dayLet’s start with the definition: Daily routine is a well-thought-out schedule of actions for the day, planning time for the purpose of its rational and most efficient distribution. As mentioned above, the routine is of great importance for the self-discipline and organization of any person, and it is also important for many other applied aspects of our lives. For example, the daily routine plays an important role in building training programs, compiling diets and organizing proper nutrition in general, choosing the most productive hours of our lives for work or creativity. Mason Curry, in his book The Genius Routine: The Daily Routine of Great People, gives the following analogy to the routine: we lack most of all, as well as willpower, self-discipline, optimism. An orderly routine is like a track along which mental forces move at a good pace…” The routine of the day is necessary so that time does not take advantage of our absent-mindedness (see epigraph). Each person faced in his work haste, a sense of the amorphousness of time, confusion in personal and work affairs. We cannot always clearly tell how much time we spent on this or that activity, because we do not consider it necessary to constantly monitor the use of our time. However, it is the whole day’s routine that helps to most intelligently and effectively allocate your time. In addition, without the skill of successfully planning your day, a person will not learn how to make longer-term plans, especially since it is not so difficult to plan your daily schedule completely, because:
Let us also note the fact that the use of the epithet “correct” in relation to the daily routine is somewhat conditional. Individually for each person, the concept of the correct routine can be different and depend on many factors: work, habits, characteristics of the body. But, according to experts (psychologists and doctors), the physiological aspects of the functioning of the main life systems of people are identical [Wedemeyer G. A., 1996]. On the basis of this, it is possible to compile a universal regimen containing general recommendations that will suit everyone to one degree or another. Based on the proposed recommendations, taking into account your individual needs, you can develop a daily routine that is best for you. Biological rhythms and daily routineWithout taking into account the daily biological rhythms of the body, a person is unlikely to be able to create an organized and effective daily routine [Nature, 2009]. For example, if a person who is used to usually waking up at 7 am, sleeps until 4 pm one day, after waking up, he will most likely feel tired, weak, slowing down the pace of activity. This condition occurs as a result of ignoring the features of biological rhythms, biological clocks and circadian rhythms. Biological rhythms ( biorhythms ) – periodically recurring changes in the nature and intensity of biological processes and phenomena in living organisms, on which their functionality depends. Biorhythms are internal ( endogenous ), depending on the body’s biological clock, and external ( exogenous ), which manifest themselves in the synchronization of internal cycles (change of sleep and wakefulness) with external stimuli (change of day and night). In terms of compiling the daily routine, we are most interested in circadian rhythms – cyclic fluctuations in the intensity of various biological processes associated with the change of day and night, the period of which is approximately equal to 24 hours [Komsomolskaya Pravda, 2016]. Many researchers, until recently, attributed the study of biorhythms to a non-academic area of physiology, but thanks to recent research, the situation has changed somewhat. So, in the human brain, they found a tiny cluster in the hypothalamus, about 20,000 neurons in size, which controls many of the body’s circadian rhythms. Known as the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), this center performs the work of the body’s internal pacemaker and affects human biorhythms [Moore R. Y., 2001]. Owls and larksPsychologists often refer to the well-known division of people into “owls” and “larks” depending on the period of their activity. It is difficult for the first to get up early in the morning, and the peak of their activity falls on the evening and night hours. The latter, on the contrary, are active in the morning, and by the evening they quickly lose their energy reserves. Interestingly, in many African countries there are practically no “owls”, this is due to the fact that many villages and cities are not electrified, which means that when the sun sets, local life stops. The proposed classification is rather arbitrary, because, as practice shows, a normal healthy person, if desired, can gradually change his type of wakefulness without harm to the body. The main thing is the presence of willpower and the right strategy. For example, many politicians, businessmen, athletes who travel a lot around the world often have to adjust their circadian rhythms in accordance with the time difference between cities in order not to lose efficiency in their work when changing time zones. In practice, even special recommendations have been developed that will help to rebuild your regime as painlessly as possible after changing the time zone. For this you are follows:
Often people do not even have to use their willpower to change their activity regime, since the human body is able to independently adapt to changing external conditions. For example, regular schoolchildren tend to go to class by 8:30 a.m. during a long period of study. Over the years, the student’s body gets used to follow the given circadian rhythm, that is, to work actively in the first half of the day. However, if, after graduation, a graduate enters the university in the evening department, where classes are held on the second shift, the body has to adjust to the new schedule. Over time, the student’s biological clock naturally adapts to the new system without much effort on his part. Knowing how the biological clock works will help you plan your day correctly. Below is an approximate calculation of the periods of activity of different systems of an average person by hours: 04:00. The beginning of the circadian rhythm. At this time, the body releases the stress hormone cortisol into the bloodstream, which triggers the mechanisms of basic functions and is responsible for our activity. It is this hormone that helps wake up people who prefer to get up early. 05:00-06:00. Awakening of the organism. During this period, the metabolism accelerates, the level of amino acids and sugar increases, which do not allow a person to sleep soundly in the morning. 07:00-09:00. The ideal time for light physical activity, when you can quickly bring the body relaxed after sleep into tone. At this time, the digestive system works well: the absorption of nutrients occurs faster, which helps to efficiently process food and convert it into energy. 09:00-10:00. The period when the energy received from eating is mastered. During this time, a person is able to cope well with tasks for attention and quick wits, as well as successfully use short-term memory. 10:00-12:00. The first peak of efficiency, the period of maximum mental activity. At this time, a person copes well with tasks that require increased concentration. 12:00-14:00. The time of deterioration of performance, when it is necessary to rest the tired brain. This period is suitable for a lunch break, as the work of the digestive tract accelerates, blood flows to the stomach, and the mental activity of the body decreases. 14:00-16:00. It is better to devote this time to the calm digestion of what you have eaten, as the body is in a state of slight fatigue after dinner. 16:00-18:00. The second peak of activity and efficiency. The body received energy from food, all systems again work in full mode. 18:00-20:00. The best time for dinner, the food received by the body will have time to digest until the morning. After eating, you can take a walk or after an hour to do physical exercises, go to training. 20:00-21:00. This time is suitable for playing sports, visiting sections, socializing. 21:00-22:00. The period when the ability of the brain to memorize increases. At this time, eating is not recommended. 22:00. Start of the sleep phase. Recovery processes are launched in the body, hormones of youth are released. The body goes into a state of rest. 23:00-01:00. At this time, the metabolic process slows down as much as possible, body temperature and pulse rate decrease. The deep sleep phase is when our body is at its best resting. 02:00-03:00. The period when all chemical reactions are slowed down, hormones are practically not produced. Lack of sleep at this time can lead to a deterioration in condition and mood throughout the day. Note: in the cold season there is a slight shift of the described processes of physiological activity forward in time. Lark or Owl TestWe invite you to take a test to determine whether you are an owl, a lark or a dove. This can help you determine what time of day you are most productive and adjust your daily routine accordingly. Statistics Full screen Components of the daily routineWe have already said that it is impossible to offer a universal daily routine that would suit everyone. When drawing up a schedule, many personal factors are taken into account, but there are also points that everyone must follow. These are necessary conditions for everyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle and be healthy. 1 SleepThe realities of the modern world are such that many people either do not get enough sleep or regularly sleep more than the body needs. In both cases, this negatively affects the physical condition of a person and his activities. A clear daily routine and the right time for sleep allow all human life support systems to recover and relax, and also help to avoid sleep and nervous system disorders [MedicalNewsToday, 2019, Ho L. , 2020]. So, the ideal time for sleep is the period from 11 pm to 7 am [Healthline, 2019]. On average, an adult should sleep about 7-8 hours a day, although there are many cases when people slept much less (3-6 hours a day), but they felt great and did their job efficiently. Famous successful sleep-deprived people include Julius Caesar, Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Napoleon Bonaparte, Thomas Jefferson, Salvador Dali, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher. However, one should not resort to extreme cases and neglect healthy sleep altogether. In some clinical experiments, isolated cases were observed when people did not sleep for more than 250 hours in a row. By the end of this period of time, doctors noted in patients a disorder of attention, the inability to focus on an object for more than 20 seconds, and psychomotor impairment. Such experiments did not bring much harm to health, but they knocked the human body out of its usual state for several days. For many people who want to straighten their schedule and learn how to go to bed early, the question of “how to fall asleep” at the scheduled time is relevant. Here are some recommendations:
Even if you can’t fall asleep for a long time in the evening, you still need to get up at the scheduled time in the morning. You won’t get enough sleep one day, but the next night you will be able to fall asleep earlier. 2 MealsEveryone knows the phrase “to live, you need to eat”, but you need to eat right. We will talk in detail about proper nutrition and everything connected with it in the next lesson, here we will note only a few important nuances. Food is fuel for the body. With it, we get not only energy for the day, which is spent on mental and physical activity, but also provide the body with the necessary vitamins and minerals. That is why it is important to eat regularly and fully, the need for a diet must be agreed with a specialist who will help you create the optimal menu, taking into account the physiological needs of the body. 3 RestRestoration of strength and working capacity of the body occurs not only during sleep, but also during the period of activity of the body. During work, a person also needs rest, since it is impossible to constantly maintain a high level of working capacity. Don’t waste your lunch break doing work, get some rest, and soon you’ll be able to get back to work with renewed vigor and work more productively and efficiently. After work, it is also important to rest. If you work at the computer all day, after returning home, spend the evening without it. Spend time reading, communicating with family and friends, self-education. 4 WorkEach of us has to work: schoolchildren go to classes and do homework, students attend lectures and seminars, prepare for exams, adults build a career and earn a living. The ability to plan your working time is an important part of the daily routine as a whole. Methods of self-management, time management, as well as recommendations for improving personal efficiency at work and outside of it, you can find in the articles in a special section of our blog “Time-management”. 5 Physical activityThis is the recommended part of the day for everyone who cares about their health. First of all, you need to think about training for those whose work limits the motor activity of the body throughout the day. Even if you do not have the opportunity to sign up for a gym or go to the pool, you can work out at home or on playgrounds in yards and schools. If there are medical contraindications, instead of playing sports, you can practice light walks in the fresh air after eating. Read more about the role of physical activity in a healthy lifestyle in this lesson. 6 Mental balanceAs they say, “a healthy mind in a healthy body”, but the opposite is also true. If a person is calm and satisfied with life, enjoys work, it means that it is easier for him to observe the daily routine. To understand ourselves, we made a special course “Self-Knowledge”, which will allow you to understand yourself, to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Find out more. How to plan your daily routine0072, posted by him in his “Autobiography”:(the image is based on a fragment of the book by M. Curry) Below are some recommendations for compiling your daily routine. How to create a daily routine for an adultWhen compiling a daily routine, focus on the following points:
Obviously, the daily routine is compiled in accordance with employment at work, which is more or less defined. Nevertheless, it is important to plan not only working time, but also rest, time for household chores and other things. This is sometimes difficult to do, but over time you will learn. How to create a daily routine for a schoolchild (teenager)Here, too, there are several highlights :
Below is one of the pediatrician-approved hourly routines Grade 3:
And finally, one more option. How to create a daily routine for a studentThe following recommendations will help to create a daily routine for a student :
Polls and observations show that those students who make up the daily routine have up to 5 hours of free time for personal interests. Following the routine will allow you to maintain a healthy balance in your activities: not to spend all the time on “cramming”, on the one hand, but also not to walk, constantly sleeping off in pairs, on the other. Test your knowledgeIf you would like to test your knowledge on the topic of this lesson, you can take a short test consisting of several questions. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) offers highly competitive salaries designed to reward education, experience and excellent performance. The OCC salary structure
provides pay ranges for jobs with comparable responsibilities.
Unlike most civilian federal agencies, the OCC does not follow the General Schedule (GS) Pay Scale. The General Schedule has 15 grades—GS-1 to GS-15—and the Senior Executive Service (SES). The OCC’s Compensation Program, the NB Pay Plan, consists of nine pay
bands, NB-I through NB-IX (see Base Salary Structure table below). These pay bands cover positions from the entry-level to the senior executive. Employee compensation is based on the
duties and responsibilities of the position, employee performance and expertise, and the increased contributions employees bring to their positions as they develop and apply broader
skills.
Employees assigned to designated locations are eligible to receive locality pay differentials in addition to their base pay. Use the Pay Band/City Salary Calculator below to
