powerful adjectives here to help make it clear. Look at the picture. Using vivid adjectives, write a story about the picture. Include five or more vivid
adjectives in the story. Circle the vivid adjectives.

A Day at the Beach – Toes in the
sand! Add a descriptive adjective to each underlined noun to make each sentence more interesting. Use
adjectives from the word box or think of your own. Rewrite the narrative story using your new adjectives.
Change a to an if the descriptive adjective begins with a vowel.

Deserted Island – Imagine that you and your friends went fishing but got lost and found a deserted island. Look at
the picture and pretend that you are there. Write sentences describing what you would see,
smell, taste, touch and hear. Make sure to use complete thoughts and transitions to make your
story flow.

Scary House on the Hill – Everybody
has that scary house in their neighborhood. Tell us about it. Look at the picture. Pretend you and your friends are playing outside and the ball goes over the
fence into the yard of the empty house next door. Continue the story with a middle and end
telling the reader what happens next. Make sure to write in first person, using describing
adjectives and action verbs to make the story come alive. Use transitions to make your story
flow.

Write a Letter – That is clear
and concise. Also the letter needs to have an objective. When you write a letter, it has a purpose. Look at the letters. Decide if the letter should be persuasive, business or friendly.
Write a short letter to that person and make sure to include the main parts: heading, greeting, body, closing and signature.

adjectives and action verbs to make your story interesting to the
reader.

Cafeteria Adventure

school.

How to Make a Sandwich
– Pretend your friend has never made a sandwich. Make a list of
ingredients your friend will need to buy at the grocery store.

buy a new playground for the school.

Action Stories –
Using vivid adjectives, write a story about the picture. Include five
or action verbs. Circle the action verbs.

Explanatory Writing
– Explain to the reader why this restaurant is your favorite. Use
the brainstorming map on the left to list the reasons why this restaurant
is your favorite.

Quick Writes – Determine
if you will be writing to explain, persuade or entertain. Answer the
prompt in complete sentences and make sure to include reasons, details
or reasons.

Requirements for the design of students’ notebooks (we observe a single spelling regime in elementary school)

Rules for the design of written work in the Russian language and mathematics

General provisions

· All entries in notebooks should be made out in neat calligraphic handwriting.

· It is obligatory for students to fill in samples, that is, the lines prescribed by the teacher (elements of letters, syllables, numbers that need to be corrected).

· Before each “Homework” it is necessary to issue a “Work on Errors”, in which it is necessary to correct the mistakes made in the previous two works (classroom and homework).

Russian language

1. After each class (homework) work, 2 lines should be indented (we write on the third).

2. When designing a red line, indent at least 2 cm (2 fingers) from the left.

3. During the entire work, we do not skip a single line.

4. When submitting works on a new page, write from the very top line, adding to the end of the page, including the last line.

5. On the left, when drawing up each line, we retreat along a single vertical line (no more than 5 mm from the edge).

6. On the right, we add to the end of the line using word wrap. There should be no unreasonably empty spaces at the end of each line.

7. When writing in a column, words are written with a lowercase letter without punctuation marks.

8. The date of writing the work is recorded in the center of the working line. From grade 2, it is allowed to write numerals in words in the notation of a number.

9. The title of the work is recorded on the next working line (without skipping a line) in the center and is drawn up as a proposal. (Classwork. Homework. Correction of mistakes.)

10. The numbers of all exercises are indicated in the center of the line. (For example, Exercise 14.)

11. All underlining should be done with a sharpened simple pencil along the ruler (in some types of work, underlining without a ruler is allowed).

12. The transition of students to work in notebooks in a wide range occurs in the 3rd grade. It is allowed to switch to work in notebooks in a wide range in the 4th quarter of the 2nd grade (at the discretion of the teacher, if the student has a successfully formed writing skill).

Mathematics

1. Between classroom and homework, 4 cells should retreat (on the 5th cell we start writing the next work).
2. Between the types of tasks in class and homework, 2 cells should be indented.
3. Between the columns of expressions, equations, equalities and inequalities, retreat 3 cells to the right, write on the 4th.
4. Job numbers should be written in the center of the line.
5. The number is traditionally written in the center of the line.
6. When solving problems, a brief record of the problem (in any version) is allowed if it helps the student.
7. When solving a task by actions, it is allowed to record explanations for each action and a short answer. When solving a problem with an expression, the answer should be written in full.
8. The answer of the problem should be written from the beginning of the line, 1 cell after the solution.
