How Much Does Postmates Pay?

According to Glassdoor data, the average Postmates courier makes about $11 per hour plus 100% of customer tips.

This average is clearly a far cry away from the potential $25 per hour the food delivery app occasionally advertises.

In fact, it’s lower than the minimum wage in major metropolitan areas like Los Angeles and New York City.

However, that’s not to say higher earnings are impossible when working with Postmates.

Typical Postmates pay varies heavily from city to city, so you might exceed the $11 per hour average in larger cities.

However, this means you might make less in rural or suburban areas.

Plus, if you give great customer service to maximize your tips and take advantage of bonus offers (we’ll talk about these offers later), you can make a comfortable living with the on-demand delivery service.

Postmates Payment Structure

While it’s almost impossible to say exactly how much Postmates pays per hour, knowing how your earnings are calculated can help you decide if this gig is worth your effort.

Luckily, the food delivery service is transparent regarding its pay structure.

Every courier is paid per order based on the following factors:

  • Rate per pick-up: When you successfully pick up an order from a restaurant or retailer, a flat amount is added to your base pay. This amount varies by city.
  • Rate per drop-off: Similarly, when you complete your delivery at your drop-off location, a flat amount will add to your base pay. Again, this amount varies by city.
  • Per-minute rate: You’ll receive a set amount of money per minute of wait time if your order is not ready when you arrive at your pick-up location.
  • Per-mile rate: For each mile you drive, bike, or walk, you’ll receive a set amount of money based on your city.
  • Tips: Postmates pays couriers 100% of the tips customers provide. The app typically suggests tips of $1, $2, or $3 for each order, though buyers may customize their tips.

Unlike most food delivery apps, Postmates allows you to easily find the exact rates in your city before you sign up.

Simply head to the “Payout Information by Market” page on Postmates.com, select your state, and select your city.

On the city-specific web page that opens up, you can scroll down to the “Delivery Earnings” section to see your local rates.

The rates pictured above are for San Diego, though the layout of your “Delivery Earnings” section will look similar.

Postmates Bonuses and Incentives

As with most on-demand food delivery services, Postmates offers higher earnings when you deliver in times of high demand.

On the Postmates app, this is known as “Blitz pricing,” which typically occurs around lunchtime and dinnertime.

Before you accept an order, you can see if Blitz pricing applies to the specific request.

Beyond this standard peak hour pricing, the company offers couriers a few different opportunities to make extra money. These opportunities fall within the following categories:

  • Bonus per delivery: When delivery partners are needed, Postmates will sometimes offer a bonus payment for every delivery completed (usually within a specific time frame and delivery area).
  • Crusher: This one-time bonus may be offered to users in qualifying markets and requires you to complete a set amount of deliveries within a specific time frame.
Guaranteed earnings: These offers are similar to Crushers, as they require a set amount of deliveries within a specific time frame. However, instead of a bonus, you’re promised a set minimum payout.
  • Invites: As part of the Postmate driver referral program, you can earn a guaranteed payout when someone signs up to drive with your invite code and completes a set amount of deliveries in a given time period.

How Are Postmates Couriers Paid?

Postmates couriers are paid once per week on Mondays through direct deposit.

You can expect your funds to be available by Wednesday or Thursday each week unless a bank holiday delays the payment processing.

In order to set up direct deposit, couriers must have a valid checking account.

Savings accounts, Postmates cards, PayPal accounts, and other online accounts cannot be used for this.

If your checking account doesn’t allow direct deposits (or if you simply want faster payment), you can make instant deposits for a fee of 50 cents.

All you need to do is input your debit card information in the “Banking” section of your app.

Then, you can cash out at any time.

Postmates Delivery Driver Expenses

Although Postmates can pay a decent amount of money, every courier must remember they are classified as independent contractors rather than employees.

This affects you in two ways.

  1. First, you’re responsible for all your self-employment taxes.
  2. Second, you must cover any non-medical, job-related expenses you accrue.

Full-time employers typically cover half of your Medicare and Social Security taxes, allowing you to pay just 7.65% of your income toward taxes.

But independent contractors like yourself are their own employers.

Because of this, you’ll have to pay the IRS 15.3% of your income to cover Medicare and Social Security taxes. So, make sure to set aside 15.3% of each paycheck for quarterly self-employment taxes in addition to funds for any other annual income taxes.

Postmates drivers can expect to spend about 57. 5 cents per mile on gas plus a significant amount of money on car maintenance, car payments, auto insurance, and similar expenses.

However, all these expenses are usually tax-deductible.

Just keep track of all your car-related expenses and your delivery mileage.

Couriers who deliver on foot or on a bike are lucky to have fewer job-related expenses, save for a pair of shoes or minor bike repairs here and there.

Note that Postmates automatically provides their couriers with occupational accident insurance.

They will pay up to $1 million for job-related medical expenses. However, you should file any claims as soon as you can in order to receive funds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Now that you know how much Postmates pays its couriers, you can make an informed decision about whether or not the platform is a good fit.

To help you decide, we’ve answered a handful of frequently asked questions about the driving gig:

1. When are peak hours for Postmates requests?

Peak hours for the platform typically occur each day around lunchtime and dinnertime — defined by Postmates as the periods from 11 a. m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are particularly great days to deliver, as the demand for Postmates rises on weekends.

Driving during these peak hours will often allow you to take advantage of Blitz pricing throughout your market.

2. Will I make more money with Postmates or with other food delivery services?

The average driver’s earnings on Postmates are almost on par with earnings on other popular food delivery platforms like Uber Eats, Grubhub, and DoorDash.

No single platform guarantees you’ll make more money while delivering for them, as business may depend on which app gets the most requests in your area, how many drivers you compete with, and how many tips you earn.

That’s why it’s best to work with the company you personally enjoy the most, whether it’s because of the app experience or the restaurants you get to visit.

3. Can I turn Postmates delivery into a full-time job?

Yes, some Postmates couriers successfully deliver food on the platform on a full-time basis.

Though you’re never guaranteed to get enough requests to make your desired income, there are no rules against driving for Postmates for 40 hours of the week.

More commonly, full-time food delivery drivers will split their time between multiple platforms to maximize the number of requests they get every hour.

4. Are there downsides to working for Postmates?

Not everything about working for Postmates is perfect.

For instance, a courier may end up traveling miles away into a random neighborhood to deliver a snack to a college kid who may not give a tip.

There’s not much you can do about this, as the app will send you wherever there are customers ordering food.

Another downside is that drivers may wait a long time to pick things up at certain stores or restaurants.

The waiting time is a hurdle that some drivers shrug off, while a number of Postmates drivers typically do multiple jobs simultaneously, thereby increasing their earnings.

Some couriers have stated that they are not inclined to quit their regular day jobs just yet to work for Postmates.

As those who have tried being a Postmates courier confirm, the pay is not mind-blowing.

Delivery offers in the app may contain multiple pickup and drop off locations. The hourly rates and courier earnings
for each delivery includes:

  • An amount for each completed drop off
  • A per minute waited rate for time you spend at the pickup location

will pay the difference.

Postmates Insurance

We will never get tired of talking about insurance. As a delivery driver, very similar to a ride-sharing driver,
you are required to maintain auto insurance. Postmates provides supplemental insurance coverage, but only while
the app is on.

However, if you’re driving your car for business, you’ll need a commercial policy.

As a commercial driver, you must be insured to drive commercially with Postmates and upgrade your insurance.

We suggest you contact your car insurer. Of course this will represent a cost for you! To save time and money we suggest
you consult our guide on how to find cheap car insurance.

As for the health insurance, Postmates is not an insurance company and does not provide health insurance to couriers.

They partnered with Stride. Stride makes it easy to find the best health insurance plan for you at the lowest
possible price. Check out their open enrollment period.

Postmates Tips

Tips are a big part of a Postmate income. Postmates has a In-App Tipping Option . Postmates allow
Customers to tip when they place the order. Postmates also allows Customers to go back in and tip your driver after
they have made their delivery.

Customers have the choice to tip through the app or in person using cash. Since 100% of the tips go to the Postmates
driver, this can sometimes help them double their hourly pay.

How the tips are calculated in postmates APP

The app calculates a recommended 20% tip based on the total price—which includes your order subtotal, an operational
service fee, and a delivery fee. However, users are free to tip any amount they choose.

Postmates, DoorDash or Uber Eats and many
other food delivery services base everything on couriers, ready to drive or ride all over the city to complete
their deliveries. The drivers are at the center of the controversy over rights and often low pay, for their work.
Especially in California with the AB5 Low. But how much does a Postmates driver earn and how does the workforce
on the Gig Economy work?

Drivers often gather in different groups on Facebook and Reddit (real movements that move to defend the rights
of self-employed workers on the road), it has brought to light several aspects of this profession which in most

$157,289 per year for a Machine Learning Engineer. A Postmates driver earns $24.88 per hour. After

What Is Postmates?

Postmates is an American takeout and food delivery service owned by Uber and founded in 2011. It currently operates in 2,940 cities, using “Postmates” to deliver food and goods from nearby restaurants and grocery stores. The company prides itself on delivering “anything, anywhere, any time” from over 500,000 restaurants across the US and Mexico.

Postmates was founded by Bastian Lehmann, Sean Plaice, and Sam Street and was acquired by Uber for $2.65 billion in December 2020. Bastian Lehmann still remains the CEO of the company, which has nine investors and over 5,000 employees. Its major competitors include Grubhub, DoorDash, and UberEats.

How Does Postmates Work?

Postmates is a delivery service. Both drivers and customers need to have the mobile application downloaded to their devices in order to place an order or receive orders to deliver. There are two apps for each party: the Postmates app for customers and the Postmates Fleet app for the drivers.

As a driver, you open the app when you’re ready to receive orders and accept any delivery requests that come up within your area. The app provides you with the fastest route to get to your pickup location. Sometimes the order will be waiting for you when you arrive and other times you actually have to order or purchase the items yourself with a Postmates prepaid card. You get paid for any time period spent waiting.

How Much Can You Actually Make on Postmates?

According to ZipRecruiter, the annual average salary of Postmates drivers is $38,089 which equates to about $18 in hourly earnings. However, the rate differs depending on the city where you are employed. For instance, San Francisco Postmates drivers earn an annual average of $47,516 while Norwalk drivers earn an annual average of $42,784.

This rate differs based on factors including the number of hours the driver works per day, the areas they work, the time of day, and customer tips. If you schedule to work during the busiest time of day every day for a week, you are likely to earn more than a driver who works once a day, three days a week. Some drivers report making $12 per hour while others say they earn about $7.5 per delivery.

The Pros and Cons of Working on Postmates

There are different benefits to working as a Postmates driver, from having your own work schedule, the attractive pay, and being able to use a bicycle instead of a car. You can find more details below.

Pros of Working on Postmates

  • Flexible Work Schedule. As a Postmate, you work flexible hours and can work in any time frame that’s convenient for you. You don’t need to set your schedule ahead of time like other delivery services and don’t have to work at the same time every day. This makes it more convenient for those with a full-time job to have a side job without pressure.
  • Doesn’t Require a Car. One of the best parts of working with Postmates is not needing a car. You can sign up with your bike, scooter, or even your feet. The only difference is you may not be able to go for deliveries in far distances which shouldn’t be a problem as long as you position yourself to work in busy areas during rush hours.
  • Attractive Pay. Postmates have more attractive rates than their competitors. Postmates delivery earnings for some drivers can be as much as $12 per delivery or per hour. If done right, you could earn even more while working fewer hours.
  • Delivery Fees are Influenced by the Distance. The delivery fees depend on the distance of the restaurant or pick-up location to the delivery location.
  • Blitz Pricing. This means higher prices during rush hours. This makes it possible for Postmates to earn more during a busy period of time. It also means more working drivers and faster deliveries. Prices during this time window can increase by up to 50 percent.
  • Instant Payment. Postmates can get paid at any time they want, making it easier for them to settle bills and cover other expenses in time. Other delivery service providers often offer weekly or biweekly payments as direct deposits.

Cons of Working on Postmates

  • Independent Contractor. Working as a Postmates driver doesn’t make you a full-time employee of the company. You are an independent contractor, part of the so-called gig economy, who identifies as a self-employed worker. This means you have to cover costs like taxes and insurance.
  • Car Expenses. Using your car or bike frequently will require you to perform regular maintenance on it, adding more expenses and overhead costs to your Postmates delivery earnings.
  • Limited Location Availability. Postmates is much more popular in larger cities which means to earn reasonable wages, you may have to work in these cities or risk earning very little while spending more.
  • Taxes. As an independent contractor, you will have to cover your taxes yourself. This means you have to save money for taxes you will owe at the end of each fiscal year.
  • Insurance. Insurance is another cost you have to cover on your own. You need to make sure you’re earning enough money through the service to cover this cost.

How to Become a Postmates Delivery Driver

Postmates offers its drivers and delivery people guaranteed weekly earnings as well as delivery bonuses.

Postmates is popularly known for having a very simple and swift application process that takes one to three days to complete. The step-by-step process is outlined below.

1. Online Application

The first step to joining Postmates as a driver is to complete an online application. To do that, you need to be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license or reliable access to a mode of transportation. You’ll also need insurance and a social security number. If you meet these requirements, you will be able to complete the registration process and proceed to the next stage.

2. Background Check

The company will run a background check to confirm your status before accepting you as a driver. If you pass this, then you will be sent a Postmates card to pay for deliveries and also set up with a delivery location that can be changed at any time.

3. Start Delivering

Once you get your Postmates card and get a delivery location, you can then begin to work and earn money. All you have to do is open Postmates Fleet, the driver app, when you are ready and accept orders in your location.

How to Make More Money on Postmates

Simply working regular shifts will not make you a decent amount of money. We have provided some tips below to help you make more money working as a Postmates driver. With a little extra effort, the job can be worth your while.

Drive During Peak Hours

The best time to make more money working for Postmates is during peak hours, mostly during lunch and dinner time. It is similar to surge pricing, except it only works for certain deliveries. During these busy times, Blitz pricing is invoked where certain deliveries are more expensive due to high demand.

Deliver in Hot Spots

You can view the areas with the most demand for deliveries within the app. For this to work even better, you should stay close to these areas during peak times so that you receive more orders. This is where bike deliveries can be handy, as a bike courier can quickly navigate hot spots.

Give the Customer a Receipt

Giving a customer their restaurant receipt has proven to encourage customers to give more tips. This is something that you can use to your advantage to make more money. Customers like accountability and when they know they are not getting taken advantage of, they’ll return the favor with a tip.

Drive Less

This means you should spend less time driving around and more time waiting to get deliveries. When you are yet to get any delivery, it might make sense to keep driving around until something comes up, however, the best thing to do in this situation is to wait in any of the hotspots where you are more likely to get deliveries.

You can also check the app for areas that need more drivers and head that way. This will help reduce your gas costs and earn more money.

Use a Fuel-Efficient Car

Try to drive a car that doesn’t consume a lot of gas. This will help save costs and maximize your earnings.

Take Advantage of Incentives

You should take advantage of the incentives that Postmates offers to make up for your personal costs. They offer bonuses for deliveries that are completed within a specific time and area. They also have a guaranteed amount that you earn after completing a certain number of deliveries at a certain time.

Take Multiple Requests

Another great way to make more money on Postmates is by taking more than one delivery at a time. You can work to get multiple orders from one restaurant at once through chained or batched deliveries. This will help you complete more deliveries in a shorter time and also earn more money.

Provide Excellent Customer Service

Most importantly, provide excellent customer service during all your deliveries. This is where having top customer service skills will make a huge difference. Nothing works better when it comes to earning tips. You can do this by using a navigation map that can help you get to your drop-off location faster, offer spoons or serviette, and communicate with your customer to ensure prompt delivery.

What is Postmates?

Postmates launched in 2011 as the “anything, anywhere, anytime” delivery service. It was acquired in 2020 by Uber for $2.65 million, and now Postmates orders are processed by Uber Eats drivers. Customers can still use the Postmates app or website to place delivery orders, but the entire order now goes through the Uber Eats platform, and Uber Eats began transitioning Postmates drivers to Uber Eats in 2021. Since Uber Eats acquired Postmates, DoorDash is our recommended alternative.

Prior to the acquisition, Postmates was famously sharing celebrity orders to give customers an idea of what you could have Postmated, like:

  • Demi Lovato used Postmates to order a single Twinkie
  • Kylie Jenner had them deliver “3 cozy blankets” from Target
  • Chance the Rapper had Postmates deliver adult coloring books and men’s swim trunks
  • Post Malone once had $8,000 worth of Popeye’s biscuits Postmated to a party
  • Chrissy Tiegen accidentally had 200 limes Postmated to her house

Uber Eats and Postmates are virtually identical services now, and you can learn about the changes in our Postmates vs. Uber Eats comparison.

Below is our Postmates driver review before the sale to Uber Eats.

How to make money with Postmates

Working as a Postmates delivery driver offers some serious flexibility when it comes to making money. You don’t have to schedule your hours in advance, work a certain number of hours each week, or hit certain delivery minimums. You can just open the app and start delivering whenever you want.

Here are the Postmates delivery driver requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have access to an insured vehicle, or a bicycle
  • Valid driver’s license, if you’ll be delivering by car
  • Have a smartphone to download the Postmates Fleet app
  • Pass a Postmates background check

As long as you meet those requirements, you can start to earn extra money delivering for Postmates. You can make deliveries via car, bike, scooter, or on foot. Postmate pay drivers based on the size of the order, distance, and difficulty – we’ll explain more about this further down.

How to apply and start delivering for Postmates

Signing up to become a Postmates delivery driver is a really simple process. Go online and get started at Postmates, then enter your email address and a secure password.

Postmates will ask you for your phone number and address so they can send you a Postmates card that you’ll use to pay for deliveries. You’ll be matched with the delivery location (what Postmates refers to as a market) closest to your address, but you can always change your delivery location if you need to.

Postmates will also ask for your Social Security number and date of birth so they can perform a background check. If you plan on driving for Postmates, which is how you’ll be eligible for the most orders, you’ll also need to enter your driver’s license number and expiration date.

After you’ve filled out your online application, it usually takes between 1 to 3 days for Postmates to verify your account before you can start driving. Postmates will send you a welcome packet, including a prepaid card and delivery bag.

Delivering for Postmates with the app

There are two different Postmates apps — an app for customers placing orders and another one for delivery drivers, called Postmates Fleet. As a delivery driver, Fleet is what you’ll use to accept and fulfill deliveries.

The cool thing about working for Postmates is that you don’t need to schedule your hours in advance. This is different from services like Instacart where you must schedule your hours in advance.

When you are ready to work, you open the app and slide a button to start accepting orders. Delivery requests will pop up in the app, and you click “Accept” to take an order. The app pulls up a map to give you the quickest route to the store or restaurant. The order might already be placed and ready for you, or you may need to place the order yourself or shop for items on a list — you’re paid for any waiting or shopping time.

If the order was paid for in the app, you’re ready to deliver. Otherwise, you’ll use that prepaid card Postmates sent you in your welcome packet and send the purchaser a picture of the receipt and order total.

The app shows you the shortest route to the delivery location, and the purchaser may give specific delivery details, like a gate passcode or instructions to leave delivery outside the back door. Any extra information you need to deliver will be in the app.

And that’s it!

How Postmates drivers are paid

Delivery drivers are paid weekly via direct deposit, and it takes about 2 to 3 days for your payout to show up in your bank account. You can keep track of your earnings for the day or week in the app’s dashboard.

If you want fast cash, you can sign up for Instant Deposit by linking your debit card to the Postmates app and cash out whenever you want. There’s no limit to the number of times you can use it, but there’s a $0.50 fee per Instant Deposit. You also need at least $5 in your Postmates account.

How much do Postmates drivers make?

Postmates pays their delivery drivers base pay rates based on pickup, dropoff, minutes spent in-store, and rate per mile. Here’s a range of the rates for each of those factors:

  • Per pickup $1.30-$1.85
  • Per dropoff $0.50-$0.95
  • Per minute $0.07
  • Per mile $0.42-$1.05

On top of base pay, Postmates delivery drivers also keep 100% of customer tips.

Postmates has a couple more market-specific ways to earn. There are starter guarantees for new delivery drivers, and as long as you complete a certain amount of deliveries in a set amount of time, you earn a bonus. You can also earn payouts for each new person you invite to start driving, as long as they complete a certain number of deliveries in a set amount of time.

An example of a Starter Guarantee in Houston, TX is: Complete 30 deliveries in 14 days and ean a guaranteed $200 including base earnings and per delivery bonuses.

Starter guarantees change based on market demand availability of new delivery jobs. When we first published this Postmates driver review article in 2020, the starter guarantee in Houston was $275 for completing 35 deliveries in 14 days.

But how much do Postmates drivers actually make?

Like we said, what you earn depends a lot on where you’re delivering. A Postmates delivery person in a big city will likely make more money because there’s a higher need and a higher level of difficulty, meaning it may be more difficult to get from place to place and restaurants might be busier.

Keep in mind, there are a couple of factors that can affect your earning potential as a delivery driver:

  • Wear and tear on your car.  When you put more miles on your car, that’s more frequent oil changes, new tires, brakes, etc.
  • Time between deliveries. Say one delivery took 20 minutes to make, but you might find yourself waiting 20 minutes before receiving your next order. You’re not getting paid for those 20 minutes, but you are waiting to work.

These are the same things you’ll need to think about if you’re considering rideshare driving or delivering for similar companies.

Postmates driver alternatives

Like we’ve said a couple of times, Postmates offers serious flexibility. That gives you a better work-life balance if you want to make extra money, and that’s what a lot of Postmates couriers like about it.

However, if you’re not interested in delivering for Postmates, there are tons of other delivery services you can try. Delivering for more than one at a time is a great way to earn even more – it’s what a lot of the most successful drivers do to increase the amount of money they make delivering food.

Here are three other top companies worth checking out:

DoorDash Disclaimer: Actual earnings may differ and depend on factors like number of deliveries completed, time of day, location, and expenses. Hourly pay is calculated using average Dasher payouts while on a delivery (from the time you accept an order until the time you drop it off) over a 90 day period and includes compensation from peak pay, tips, and other incentives.

Postmates driver review – the final word

As long as there are orders in the app, delivering for Postmates offers a flexible schedule if you want to make some extra money. So if you’re looking for work outside the house, it’s an option worth checking out.

The downside is that some drivers find that they make less than expected because of factors like the time between orders and the wear and tear delivering can put on their vehicle. Keep that in mind if you do want to start delivering for Postmates.

And if none of these options do it for you, there are still lots of side hustle ideas. There’s no excuse not to start earning more money, especially if you want to destroy your debt, save more for retirement, fund an epic vacation, or just put more money in the bank.

FAQs

Are there any Postmates tips and tricks that can increase my pay?

+-

Yes, there are several ways to help you earn more money with Postmates!

If you’re able to deliver during peak pay hours, you’ll find more orders available on the app. The busiest times on Postmates are 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are also some of the busiest days for drivers.

For ultra busy times, you may find orders with Blitz pricing. These orders have even higher payouts, but not all orders during this period offer Blitz payouts.

Markets sometimes have Hot Spots, which show up in the app like this:

The darker red the area, the more likely it is that you’ll get an order, so you may need to drive to a different location to increase your chances. The best way to find Hot Spots is to check the Fleet app during peak hours.

Postmates also offers a couple of different driver bonuses, and you’ll be notified about these in the app or via email. There are Crushers, which is a payout bonus for completing so many deliveries in a set time. You can also earn a Bonus per Delivery for every order completed in a certain time frame — it can be around $1 to $2 extra per order.

You can also turn on Auto Accept in the Postmates app to automatically take new orders, and this will reduce the amount of time you wait between orders. New orders are automatically added to your route, and you can turn it off or pause it at any time.

What happens if a customer cancels a delivery?

+-

Unfortunately, some customer orders can get canceled for any number of reasons. A customer can change their mind, a restaurant might be too busy to take new orders, or have to close unexpectedly.

If the order was canceled when you’re on your way or already at a restaurant or store, you will still receive a small portion of your payment. For orders that have been paid for or in route to be delivered, you’ll receive your full fee. You probably won’t receive a tip, and you can do what you want with the order.

Can I deliver in other places?

+-

Yes. As long as you have location services turned on for the Fleet App, all you need to do is open it up and find orders. Realistically, you could be traveling and still earn some extra cash with Postmates.

Will I get to keep customer tips?

+-

Yes, Postmates delivery drivers keep 100% of customer tips.

How about working for Postmates and taxes?

+-

As a food delivery person, you are considered an independent contractor, meaning Postmates doesn’t withhold any taxes.

If you make more than $600/year with Postmates, they will send you a 1099-MISC form with your annual earnings. You should still report your earnings to the IRS even if you don’t make $600 with Postmates.

You can write off the mileage on your car, but you’ll need to be tracking that throughout the year. Postmates recommends using the Everlance app to track this.

Right now, Postmates drivers are earning at minimum $20-27 an hour, depending on when and where you deliver. Add in customer tips, and you can get paid even more. You can also cash out instantly, every day you drive.

I’ll show you how to improve your efficiency so you can avoid some of the lower-paying orders that will net you less. You don’t need a car to make deliveries with Postmates. You can also do Postmates delivery by bike, car, scooter, motorcycle, or even by walking.

Working for Postmates as a Bike Courier

If you want to deliver for Postmates on a bike, we found Postmates bike couriers can make $15/hour.

As a biker, you’ll get a lot of short distance orders where you’re getting paid around $4 or $5 for the delivery (without blitz pricing).  I prefer the short orders since I can do them really fast, but if you’re not getting tips, it can get a little frustrating.

If you’re trying to maximize your earnings, make sure you also consider distance to the restaurant.  You don’t want to accept orders for a restaurant that’s really far away from where you are unless it’s really slow.  Otherwise, you’ll end up wasting valuable time biking to the restaurant.

Advantages of Doing Deliveries On Your Bike

Sure, driving around food is a lot easier than biking around with food. However, biking has its advantages too.  Here are four advantages with biking that you can’t get from driving:

  • You get exercise – A lot of people pay to go to the gym after work. I just turn on Postmates, hop on my bike, and make some deliveries.  It’s like I’m getting paid to exercise!
  • Low expenses – The great thing about biking is that you’ll drastically reduce your overhead expenses. When you’re doing deliveries using your bike, you don’t have to worry about paying for gas or putting miles on your car.  The cost to maintain a bike for an entire year is pretty minimal.  Plus, you reduce your healthcare expenses by staying fit and healthy.
  • Don’t worry about finding parking – Anyone who has done deliveries in a car knows what a pain it is to find parking.  Restaurants tend to be located in busy areas that aren’t particularly friendly to cars.  I love being able to just bike up to the restaurant and walk right in without having to deal with parking.
  • Avoid traffic – Another great benefit! The delivery rush tends to happen around dinner time, right when people happen to be on the road.  When you’re on a bike, you can just cruise right through all of that traffic.   It’s a sweet feeling when you’re able to fly past all of those cars.

Challenges of Delivering for Postmates on a Bike

Of course, delivering anything on a bike isn’t always easy! Here are some of the biggest challenges:

  • Getting around with ‘stuff’ – Carrying food or other stuff from Postmates orders is challenging with just a bag. You’ll want to get a backpack to easily contain things and make it easier for you to get around.
  • Pizzas, coffees, and ice cream – These are some of the hardest things to bike with, and I learned this the hard way with one of my first bike deliveries being 4 lattes. Not pretty. Luckily, you’ll get to see what the order is when you’re delivering on bike, so be reasonable. Can you bike with a large pizza in your hands? If so, good for you! If not, just decline it and move on.

One thing to remember is that, as a bike courier, your expenses will be minimal, which means more money in your pocket.   Drivers are going to have to deal with gas and putting miles on their car.  Maintaining your bike, on the other hand, doesn’t have to cost very much.

One suggestion I have to further reduce your potential expenses is to make use of your city’s bike share system. Most cities with bike share systems allow you to purchase a cost-effective yearly membership.  Usually, it won’t cost more than $10 a month.  The great thing is that, by using your city’s bike share system, you can avoid all of the potential maintenance costs and wear and tear on your own bike.

How Much Does Postmates Pay in California?

Depending on where you live in California, you can earn up to $20-27 per hour delivering with Postmates. Right now, Postmates is offering new drivers sign up guarantees.

Postmates Pay in San Diego

New drivers in San Diego can earn $1,250 for their first 150 trips completed.

Postmates Pay in Long Beach

Postmates couriers in Long Beach can earn $815 in guaranteed pay for their first 100 completed deliveries.

Postmates Pay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a very lucrative area for delivery drivers, and that’s certainly true for new Postmates couriers in LA. Postmates delivery drivers in LA can earn at least $1,200 in guaranteed earnings for their first 180 completed deliveries.

Postmates Pay in San Francisco

Earnings in San Francisco for food delivery are some of the highest we see anywhere – the relatively small sized area, number of restaurants, and higher earnings in the city usually lead to more expensive orders and better tips.

New San Francisco Postmates delivery drivers can make $700 in guaranteed earnings with 100 completed deliveries.

How Much Does Postmates Pay in Phoenix, AZ?

Phoenix is a unique market given its size, but if you stick close to downtown and the surrounding areas, chances are you can make at least $20/hour driving with Postmates. Just make sure not to get taken out to the suburbs – like Gilbert!

New Postmates drivers in Phoenix can earn $1,125 in guaranteed earnings for their first 140 completed deliveries.

How Much Does Postmates Pay in Seattle, WA?

Similar to San Francisco, a relatively dense area with homes and restaurants, plus higher average earnings, usually means better earnings for Postmates couriers. New Postmates couriers in Seattle can earn $550 for their first 80 completed deliveries.

Postmates Payment Structure: How Are Postmates Drivers Paid?

While working for Postmates may pay a little less than some of the other best food delivery apps, like DoorDash, payouts are calculated pretty straightforwardly:

The earnings for each delivery include:

  • An amount for each completed pick-up
  • An amount for each completed drop-off
  • A per-minute-waited rate for the time you spend at the pick-up location
  • A per-mile rate for the distance between the pick-up and drop-off locations
  • 100% of the tips you earn!

For Phoenix, my formula looks like this:

Postmates Delivery Earnings in Phoenix, AZ (2020 rates)

Postmates Delivery Earnings in Phoenix, AZ (2020 rates)

You can find the formula for your city here. Postmates couriers also keep 100% of their tips.

Something important to note: Postmates still has bonuses… but only if you sign up with a referral code! This is the bonus I’m offered in Phoenix:

Note that you’ll only get this extra bonus if you sign up with a referral code!

You’ll get paid every Monday with Postmates, or you can get your earnings on demand with Instant Deposits.

Postmates Sign Up Bonus

Postmates is one of the few delivery companies out there still offering referral bonuses for new drivers! Your sign up bonus will depend on the city in which you drive, so make sure to sign up with a Postmates referral code!

Postmates recently began an incentive program that guarantees you will make a specified amount of money (a la Uber’s guaranteed earnings program). For example, after using my Postmates referral code to sign up in Phoenix, if I complete 85 deliveries in 30 days, I would earn a referral guarantee of $675.

Postmates Driver Advice

Here are our top tips for Postmates Drivers:

1) Take advantage of Postmates incentives!

Similar to a few other delivery companies, like DoorDash, Postmates offers a variety of incentives for drivers. Use them!

Here are the types of incentives Postmates offers:

  • Bonus per Delivery: Earn an additional payout bonus for every delivery accepted within a specified time frame and completed within the specified zone.
  • Guaranteed Earnings: Complete a certain number of deliveries within a set period of time and earn a guaranteed minimum payout
  • Crushers: Complete a certain number of deliveries within a set time period and earn an additional payout bonus
  • Invites: Invite friends to become a Postmate and earn a guaranteed amount for each invitee that completes a certain number of deliveries within a set time period.

2) Pay attention to peak driving times in your city!

Postmates offers a handy list, by state and city, of peak times and payouts/referrals. Make sure to check out the peak times in your city to see when Postmates recommend you drive.

For example, in Florida, Postmates recommends drivers get out from:

  • Every day from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Demand increases as customers order early to time the delivery arrival with their lunch break.
  • Every day from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. In the evenings, demand spikes as customers order dinner. This is the busiest time of day.

These are similar to the peak times in California, but the California page provides more information on the type of vehicles accepted (including walking) and small business registration information.

3) Time is money!

As much as possible, don’t accept deliveries for restaurants that make you wait until the food is cooked. You’re not paid as much for waiting for food, and you want to keep moving.

4) Communicate with your customer

Let them know when you’ve arrived at the restaurant (and double check that their order is correct), then let them know you’re on your way.

This is extra helpful now, as you’ll also want to text them after you deliver the food (no contact delivery) so they know to go outside and get it without interacting with you.

5) Take advantage of Blitz pricing

When you’re on Postmates, you’ll notice before accepting a request that sometimes you’re offered ‘Blitz’ pricing. This gives you a bonus on earnings!

For example, if you receive a blitz pricing notification for 1.5x, you’ll receive 50% on top of that order. If it’s a $10 order, you’ve just made $15 (not including tips!)

Common Postmates Courier Expenses

Much like Uber driver expenses, there are some common Postmates courier expenses, including:

  • Delivery insurance – if your auto insurance doesn’t already cover you, you’ll want to get some insurance for doing deliveries
  • Car payment/lease
  • Gas and/or tolls
  • Repairs and maintenance

Don’t forget about those miscellaneous monthly and annual expenses, including:

  • Cell phone bill (to use the app and navigation)
  • Parking and permits
  • Meals (if you’re going to be one the road for a while and take a few breaks)
  • Satellite radio or music streaming subscription (or a subscription to Audible!)

Become a Postmates Driver

The Postmates application process is very simple. To become a Postmates driver all you’ll need is:

  • Download the Postmates app
  • Create an account with an email address and password
  • Input your basic information, including what city you’re driving in and the vehicle you’re using (if delivering with a car)

You’ll also go through a standard background check (yes, you’ll need a Social Security Number) but before that process kicks off, you’ll actually have to do a few more things. This is where most drivers get confused – you’ll need to set up things like direct deposit before Postmates runs you through the background check process, so make sure to follow their instructions:

  • Review the Fleet Agreement
  • Upload your profile photo
  • Add your referral code
  • Set up direct deposit
  • Activate your Postmates Card in your app once you receive your Welcome Kit

Note: some markets do not require a Postmates Card. In these instances, your Welcome Kit will be sent after you complete your first delivery.

Once you link your card, upload your selfie, and download the Fleet app, your background check begins and the final part of the process is kicked off, so watch your email inbox for next steps and instructions.

Postmates Driver Qualifications

To become a Postmates driver, you’ll need to be 18 years of age or older. You’ll need some sort of vehicle to drive, but scooters count and in some cities, you can deliver on foot.

Here are instructions for using the Postmates driver app: How to Use the Postmates App as a New Fleet Delivery Driver (2021 Tutorial)

Postmates Vehicle Requirements

There are no real vehicle requirements for signing up with Postmates.

Signing up to deliver with Postmates was easy. While going through the sign up process, I added my driver’s license info and type of vehicle – not what type of car, mind you. It was what type of vehicle, as in car, scooter, truck, motorcycle, etc.

Although DoorDash asked me to specify my type of car (without noting any specific requirements) Postmates does not. I don’t think either service cares what type of car you drive.

Clearly, there’s no reason a DD/Postmates car needs to be in the same condition as an Uber/Lyft vehicle. The food doesn’t care! Finally, I was told to expect a package in the mail the following week.

Postmates Orientation

In the past, to work for Postmates would have you go to an in-person orientation. Nowadays, Postmates will have you fill out the information above and then follow up with a Welcome Kit like the one below.

A day or two later, a package arrived. Inside were two items:

  1. A Postmates bag.
  2. A Postmates credit card.

You’ll also receive a Postmates credit card.

I was pretty surprised nothing else came with this kit – no instructions! It’s why watching our videos on how to use the apps are so helpful.

Also, this is why we always recommend signing up with multiple delivery apps – try something like DoorDash or Instacart first so you can get the hang of delivery!

Here’s what the driver app looks like in its offline state:

Finally, it was time. I had my app. I had my nifty Postmates bag. I had plenty of gas in the tank. Unlike DoorDash, there’s no scheduling function on the Postmates app. If you want to start working you just slide the button on the top-right and go live. It was now that time.

Working for Postmates – My Experience

My first official Postmates pickup was for Sprinkles Cupcakes.

Just like DoorDash, as soon as I arrived, I tapped my screen to reveal the specifics of my order.

I walked in and confidently stated, “Hi, I’m Dash and I have a Postmates order for Melissa.”

The employee checked the order, got the cupcakes, and handed them to me. I slid to the next screen and got this:

This is where my experience working for Postmates diverged from my past experience. The majority of DoorDash restaurants have a DD corporate account, allowing them to complete their transaction directly. This direct account eliminates my involvement in a transaction. I typically sign the DD order printout, I assume for their own record-keeping, and go on my way.

Postmates is very different. I felt like every time I picked up an order, I needed to ask for the receipt and enter the receipt value into the app. Furthermore – and this is where it gets cumbersome – I needed to take a photo of the receipt and upload it to the screen, like this:

After I submitted the above claim, I was given directions to the customer’s house and delivered without incident. Once completed, I got this:

Cool! I earned $6.43!

Pro-tip: Don’t lose your Postmates credit card! I briefly lost my Postmates credit card mid-shift (I blame the misplacement on the accumulation of photograph-requiring receipts in my pocket, but that’s a different rant). I paid the restaurant $13. 25 with my own credit card to get through the order.

After the incident, I read support FAQs that said PM won’t reimburse drivers for meals paid on their own card. I understand that policy position, but I thought my incident was cut & dried enough to warrant a one-time reimbursement/hand slap. I never received a response for either of my support emails.

After my first week on the job, I received a deposit for my week of work: $105.21, for part time driving.

Note: Don’t forget to track your miles as a delivery driver! As a delivery driver (and rideshare driver) you can deduct mileage at tax time. Looking for a free mileage tracker? Check out Stride (available on Android and iOS).

Takeaways for Working for Postmates in 2021

There is a lot of competition in the delivery space though with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other local companies getting in on the food delivery action. This is both good and bad, as it’s hard to say which one company you should go with – it depends on what’s the most popular company in your market. On the other hand, it does encourage you to sign up for multiple companies to determine which one pays you the best and keeps you the busiest.

As of December 2020, Uber has acquired Postmates – one less competitor in the delivery space!

As always, it makes the most sense to combine delivery with rideshare driving (Uber and Lyft) so you stay consistently busy during your driving hours. Postmates can help you do this by keeping you busy during lunch, which is typically a slow time of day for drivers (at least during the weekdays).

At the very least, you can sign up with Postmates today, deliver the required number of deliveries for your city in 30 days, and get a guaranteed pay out! These amounts are good as of 2021, and you’ll need a Postmates referral code to get the guarantee. You can use our Postmates referral code here to sign up with Postmates.

Postmates Courier FAQs

What are the most common Postmates deliveries?

Depending on the area you’re driving in and the time of day you’re delivering, you may have a different experience. But, overall, you’ll likely receive more food delivery around lunch and dinner time for local restaurants. There will be occasions when you’ll be delivering alcohol, but Postmates offers instructions on verifying a customer’s ID if that comes up.

How do I sign up for Postmates?

Make sure to sign up for Postmates with a referral link! Also, be sure to have your phone handy as you’ll be sent a verification code while signing up.

Is Postmates available in my city?

Postmates is most likely available in your city! You can sign up to deliver for Postmates to check and see if Postmates is in your city.

Does Postmates pricing change during high demand?

Postmates has broken down the most likely busy times for you here:

It is not guaranteed that you’ll earn more during this time, but if the demand is high, you’ll likely receive blitz pricing. They don’t seem to have a breakdown listed of what this blitz pricing really looks like, but you will be notified before accepting a delivery that it will pay higher due to being in a blitz price time and location.

How can I contact the customer if something goes wrong?

Within the app, click on the question mark in the corner if you’re having an issue. From there, scroll to the bottom and click on the Email link under “Contact Us”. That will take you to a page where you choose what general issue you’re having and give you more options to keep narrowing down your issue. From there, you can fill out a form to let them know exactly what is going on.

What are batched and chained deliveries?

A batched delivery will contain multiple orders from the same location. This lets you do multiple deliveries at once, saving you time and earning you more money. Be sure to double check you’re delivering the correct order to the right drop-off space.

A chained delivery is multiple orders from different locations. These will end up being deliveries where the drop-off location is in close proximity to each other.

What do I do if the customer isn’t there to receive the order?

If you go to the delivery location and the customer cannot be found, Postmates has you return all items that are able to be returned such as non-food and non-perishables. In some instances, your app will be able to detect the items in the order that can be returned and direct you back to the pick-up spot.

Do I get rated for making deliveries?

You are giving a thumbs up or a thumbs down from your customer after your delivery. This will not affect your standings as a courier for Postmates.

What is Postmates?

Postmates was founded in 2011 and first launched a version of its services in 2012 in San Francisco. Since then, Postmates has grown from a team of three co-founders to over 800 employees working from six cities, including four U.S. locations (San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; Nashville, TN; and New York, NY) as well as both Vancouver, British Columbia and Mexico City.

But just talking about its company offices doesn’t explain the full scope of Postmates. Every month, the company makes over five million deliveries from half a million merchants across a network of 3,500 cities. In November 2017, it began offering services in Mexico City as its first international marketplace.

How does working for Postmates as a delivery person work?

As a courier or delivery person working for Postmates, you’ll be known as a Postmate. Whenever you’re online and available to make deliveries, the company will send you offers through its app, known as the Postmates Fleet app. This app is basically a one-stop shop for accepting Postmates delivery jobs, navigating to the location of the pickup, picking up orders (and sometimes paying for them), and dropping them off at the customer’s location. The app is available for both Android and iOS users.

Each step of this process is explained as you make your way through a delivery, starting with the timed offer to accept a new job. If you’re looking to work for a set number of hours, the company also offers an auto-accept feature, which automatically adds new deliveries to your route until you decide to pause it.

Although different deliveries might require different steps to fulfillment, the company makes the process easy. While some orders might be already purchased and ready for pickup upon your arrival, others might require you to place the order with a merchant directly or even to pay for it using the prepaid card provided to all Postmates by the company. All of this will be made clear throughout the Postmates delivery process on your app, so you can focus on getting in as many deliveries as possible in the least amount of time.

Who can deliver for Postmates?

The qualifications to become a Postmate are relatively straightforward. Postmates must be at least 18 years old and be able and willing to pass a background check. You can deliver by driving a car, truck, van, bicycle, motorcycle, or scooter.

The background check includes criminal and DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) history, and the company uses a third party called Checkr to complete these checks. Postmates also notes on its support page that background checks might be slightly different on an individual basis and take different lengths of time to complete. Those with pending applications with Postmates can check the status of their background check on the Checkr applicant portal.

Becoming a Postmate is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys being out and about in their city. You’ll be chatting with merchants and customers, as well as biking or driving through various neighborhoods. If you’re someone who likes discovering new places and can get into a good rhythm with your deliveries, then this might be a great option for you when considering how to make extra cash as a part-time or even full-time activity.

How much does Postmates pay?

According to the Postmates CEO, Bastian Lehmann, who was quoted at a TechCrunch event in 2015, couriers make a median of $19 during peak hours. Keep in mind that this only applies during peak hours, which the company lists as between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and then 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily, with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays being the busiest hot spots. It’s also important to note that a median doesn’t refer to average pay in the sense most of us are used to. A median simply refers to the number in the middle of a given range, which in this case is the range of hourly rates earned by couriers.

In truth, the earning system with Postmates is complicated. The first thing you’ll need to understand is some of the language used in explaining how you get paid. Essential terms to know include:

  • Mile rate: This is the amount of money you’ll be paid per mile as you travel from the pickup location to the drop-off location.
  • Peak hours: These are hours when demand is greatest, so the chances of getting more deliveries is higher. In every market, peak times are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day.
  • Blitz pricing: Blitzes are periods of time when you’re offered a higher rate for a specific delivery. They can pop up at any time and may only be applied to certain opportunities.

Postmates has made some changes to its pay structure over the past year in an effort to make it easier to calculate how much couriers will earn for each delivery. The company defines four specific rates of pay per trip:

  1. Rate per pickup: This is how much you earn by picking up the delivery from the restaurant/company providing the product.
  2. Rate per drop-off: This is how much you earn by completing the delivery to the person who placed the order.
  3. Rate per minute: This is how much you earn for each minute you spend at the pickup location waiting for the delivery to be ready.
  4. Rate per mile: This is how much you earn for traveling the number of miles between pickup and delivery locations.

The actual rates for each of these categories differs from market to market. To find out the rates in your area, visit the Payout Information by Market page on the Postmates website. Here is a sampling of how rates vary between four major metropolitan areas as of April 2020.

Market New York City Los Angeles San Francisco Seattle
Rate per pickup $1.80 $1.40 $1.90 $1. 85
Rate per drop-off $0.70 $0.70 $0.50 $0.50
Rate per minute $0.07 $0.07 $0.07 $0.07
Rate per mile $1.05 $0.69 $1.29 $0.93

Let’s see how this works out for couriers in each of these cities, picking up an order from a Chinese restaurant to an office three miles away and having to wait five minutes for the order to be ready.

Market New York City Los Angeles San Francisco Seattle
Rate per pickup $1. 80 $1.40 $1.90 $1.85
Rate per drop-off $0.70 $0.70 $0.50 $0.50
Rate per minute $0.07 x 5 = $0.35 $0.07 x 5 = $0.35 $0.07 x 5 = $0.35 $0.07 x 5 = $0.35
Rate per mile $1.05 x 3 = $3.15 $0.69 x 3 = $2.07 $1.29 x 3 = $3.87 $0.93 x 3 = $2.79
Total earned $6 $5.49 $6.62 $5.49

In these markets, you would have to make between three and four of these deliveries per hour to get to the $19 median earnings mark. That said, the company also offers several bonuses and incentives that may increase your hourly rate. And one thing that isn’t accounted for in all this yet is your tip. Postmates guarantees that 100% of tips get paid to its delivery partners, so if you decide to start working with them, keep your customer service game strong.

When it comes to getting paid, Postmates’ website advertises a no-fee or time commitment policy, further stating you’ll keep 100% of what you earn on each delivery. Payments are made using direct deposit, and you’ll have the option to track your earnings and set your payment frequency from the Postmates app.

Weekly direct deposits are free, and funds are generally made available within 24 to 72 hours, depending on your bank. Instant deposits can be made whenever you’d like (as long as you have a balance of $5 or more) but come with a 50-cent charge per deposit, with funds generally made available in less than 30 minutes. There’s also no limit to the number of times you can cash out in a day. So if you just need cash fast, you might not mind the instant-deposit fee.

Maximizing your earnings with Postmates

To get the most out of your time with Postmates, it’s recommended to work during peak hours and take advantage of any offers that come up on the in-app Incentives Tracker. Postmates offers various bonuses and incentives for deliveries accepted within a certain time frame for specific locations or for completing a certain number of deliveries within a set period of time.

Some other ideas to maximize your earnings include:

  • Driving a fuel-efficient car and using one of the best gas credit cards to fill up at the pump
  • Saving on gas altogether by biking to your delivery destinations
  • Providing great customer service to earn more tips

How to get good reviews

As a Postmate, driver reviews aren’t something you’ll need to worry about. Postmates doesn’t use a rating system for its couriers, stating on its website that this is to avoid any bad reviews that a courier might receive for circumstances beyond their control. Although customers can rate a delivery (with a thumbs up or down), courier performance isn’t directly correlated to this rating.

How to become a delivery driver for Postmates

Becoming a Postmates delivery driver is relatively straightforward. Start by downloading the company’s fleet app on your phone or visiting fleet.postmates.com. You’ll be required to provide some basic information, like your name and contact information as well as your location and driver’s license number. You can also deliver with Postmates by using a bicycle, motorcycle, or scooter

You’ll also be required to authorize a background check by entering your Social Security number, sign the company’s work agreement, set up direct deposit to your bank account, and activate your prepaid card. Once all of that is completed, you’ll be able to start delivering with Postmates and set your own schedule.

Postmates vs. DoorDash vs. Uber Eats

Postmates, DoorDash, or Uber Eats — which of these is the best delivery company for you to work with? Or should you work with all three? Only you can answer these questions, and your answer will depend on your geographic area, resources, and what you’re looking to gain from taking on delivery as a side gig.

All three food delivery services have automated systems that bring the delivery opportunities to you, enable you to pick and choose which ones you want to accept, pay you for the miles you drive, and have set systems in place so you’re not laying out your own money to complete orders.

So in making the decision between Postmates vs. DoorDash vs. Uber Eats, availability would be the first difference to look for. You may live in an area in which only one or two are active services. Or there may be an entirely different food delivery app that holds the market share where you live.

How much you can make with each of these services is also a big consideration. DoorDash offers drivers a minimum amount they’ll earn per order, usually between $2 and $10, with some jobs that pay even more.
1
This is the base pay, which is calculated based on time, distance, and desirability of a job (less popular locations pay more). In addition to base pay and promotions, such as extra pay during peak times, you will get 100% of whatever is tipped. Tips are recorded through the app customers place the order through, so you should be able to track exactly what you’re earning from job to job.

Postmates has gotten rid of its minimum pay per order system, so you’re only earning the base fees for pickup, delivery, time waiting to get the order, and mileage for each delivery. If you’re doing food delivery with Uber Eats, you won’t have a minimum amount paid to you per order either. Instead, your pay is based on flat fees for pickup and drop-off, mileage (not available in some markets), and a per-minute rate for time spent from arriving to pick up a delivery through to completing the job. This amount of time is estimated, not based on real time spent, and it is not offered in some markets.

To determine which are the best side hustles for you, research which of these three services is available in the area you want to work, how much they pay, what their requirements are, and what kind of commitment you’re able to make to this side hustle. All of this information can lead you to determining how to make money in the way that’s a best fit for your life and goals.

You may find working for one service is enough or that you love it so much you want to work as an independent contractor with all three. Both DoorDash and Postmates state in their contracts that couriers have the right to work for any other business, even if it is a direct competitor. We weren’t able to find any information from Uber Eats that says couriers can’t work for other delivery services. However, given that Uber drivers often also work for other rideshare companies, such as Lyft, you can likely work for other delivery services while contracting with Uber Eats.

How much do Postmates drivers make a day?

Since Postmates work when they want and for however many hours they choose, how much they make will depend on hours worked and deliveries made per hour. Postmates couriers are sometimes required to place and/or pay for an order when they pick it up. When this is the case, you must use a prepaid debit card issued by Postmates to complete the order. Some drivers lose money because Uber bought mail mates

A Postmates delivery driver waits to pick up food at Cafe Fiorello December 25, 2020 in New York City.

Some workers who rely on Postmates for some or all of their income have been losing wages since Uber acquired the food delivery company in December. At least half a dozen giants who have spoken to BuzzFeed News are experiencing inexplicable delays in moving to the Uber platform, and some with traffic violations or criminal histories are denied permission to use the app altogether.

By buying Postmates in a $2.65 billion deal, Uber eliminated a major competitor in the food delivery market and took a clearer path to profitability. It’s part of an ongoing consolidation trend in delivery: Eight years ago, Seamless merged with Grubhub, which was bought last year by Just Eat, Europe’s leading food delivery company, for $7. 3 billion. DoorDash acquired Caviar in 2019year. Uber only decided to buy Postmates after it reportedly failed to buy Grubhub.

But for the giants, the merging of two industry competitors means increasing dependence on terms set by one company.

Ray Adams, 25, has been making money from Postmates for the past three months since he left his job at a restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina. When he tried to switch from Postmates to Uber Eats, he was turned down for rash driving fees. Adams said he successfully pleaded an improper driving charge two years ago with the help of a $1,000 lawyer, so he should be eligible to drive an Uber. The app disqualifies drivers with either one recent major driving violation or multiple recent minor driving violations. Adams has reached out to Checkr, the background check company used by Uber, to fix the bug, but has yet to receive a response.

By the time Postmates finally closes next month, he said, “If I can’t get approval from another delivery service, it will be disastrous for my income. It was like a slap.

One of the benefits of working in the workplace is supposed to be that drivers only work when they want to and when the amount they earn seems to be worth it. This forces the applications of the gig economy to compete with each other for labor and encourages them to set rates high enough to attract workers. Uber is increasing its bargaining power in the labor market by consolidating the delivery space and completely erasing one source of income for the giants.

As with any job market, the less competition your labor has, the fewer places you can find work, [which] increases the boss’s power over workers, University of Utah economist Marshall Steinbaum told BuzzFeed. News. They really can’t enjoy the benefits of being an independent contractor… working for someone who gives you the best deal on any one platform.

And as independent contractors, these workers also won’t get benefits like unemployment insurance in most states until they decide what’s next.

Uber acknowledged that its driving account requirements would mean a percentage of Postmates couriers would lose that source of income, but declined to give an exact figure.

As we work to integrate Uber Eats and Postmates, the priority was to maximize earning opportunities for as many delivery professionals as possible without compromising Uber’s commitment to safety, an official told BuzzFeed News in an email. We are very excited to welcome anyone who meets our criteria for joining the Uber app and are working to make the process as easy as possible for all couriers who do so.

Uber laid off about 185 Postmates staffers in January, according to the data. New York Times .

Uber plans to continue with its consumer-facing app Postmates, but is shutting down the Postmates Fleet app, which drivers use to take delivery orders. After this month, orders placed by customers through Postmates will be accepted by drivers using Uber Eats. Uber, which quietly announced the transition at the end of March, said the transition would be completed within a few weeks.

“I wish it was some kind of email announcing a few months ago that the apps would be merged and Postmates would no longer exist,” said Taya, a Postmates courier in Texas who waited eight days to complete the Uber connection process. I’m guessing there’s an assumption that we only knew based on the Uber purchase.

Adam Rosenthal, a Postmates delivery man in Colorado who will lose his source of income when the app closes, has been delivering in the Denver area throughout the coronavirus pandemic to make up for lost hours as a baker. which were cut when the businesses closed a year ago.

Rosenthal drove Uber Eats until he got stuck in the wings and was taken off the platform last year. With two points on his license, he was still able to work for both Grubhub and Postmates, but with the acquisition of Uber, his delivery job opportunities were reduced to Grubhub.

They say I can ride Postmates… until they take over the operations, he said. With Postmates, Rosenthal could get same-day deposits into his bank account for any trip he took before 11 a.m., but he can’t do that with Grubhub, which makes him worry.

“It just means I have to work a lot more during the week to get the money into my account,” he said. There are days when I need to drive a car before I can fill up the car and buy food for myself and the cats.

Matthew Miller has good driving experience but has been waiting two weeks for approval from Uber Eats. Potential workers have been experiencing problems with data verification delays for the past year, which Uber said is linked to government shutdowns due to the pandemic and court delays. Miller said he worked 35 to 40 hours a week on Postmates, averaging about $1,200 a week before taxes. But now when he opens the Postmates Fleet app, the job is unavailable and the pop-up redirects him to Uber.

“They sent me several automatic emails saying that the verification of the data was taking longer than usual,” he said. I have a perfectly clean record, so I’m not sure what kind of robbery this is.

Miller said that in addition to the loss of earnings, the delay also means he is not gaining the number of driving hours to be eligible for Uber’s health insurance program, which drivers qualify for after 15 hours of active driving per week.

“That’s why I do a lot of gigs – I get reimbursed for my healthcare costs,” he said. The health insurance scholarship quarter began three to four weeks ago. … By the time I get approved, I won’t be getting a scholarship.

Meanwhile, Miller is living on savings and waiting for a response from Uber, he said. It’s frustrating.

While Uber famously kicks back on fingerprinting drivers As for background checks in Austin, it has also been criticized for not screening drivers enough and protecting passengers in the past. While food delivery drivers don’t carry passengers in their cars, Uber said its driver approval standards are designed to keep customers and vendors safe.

Uber, which saw a 53% drop in travel during the pandemic, is still unprofitable after more than a decade of operation. The company recently offloaded its expensive self-driving car division and made a number of acquisitions in the food delivery business. The FTC took a close look at the acquisition of Uber Postmates, slowing the deal down a bit, a second request for information last September.

According to an email reviewed by BuzzFeed News that was sent to employees by CEO Cory Rellas, the FTC made a similar request regarding the planned acquisition of Uber Drizly, a Boston-based alcohol delivery startup.

In short, the government/FTC needs more time to study the acquisition and its implications, Rellas wrote in an April email. Given the expected process, we assume that the official closure will take place in late summer or early autumn. While we were hoping for a quick fix given the emergence of the category and the clear math/action to show it’s not anti-competitive, we’re not surprised by the longer timeline as Uber gets quite a bit of regulatory and headline attention.

Uber declined to comment on its interaction with the FTC, but said it expects the deal to close in the second half of 2021. Drizzly did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Economist Steinbaum published a paper in 2019 on the role of antitrust in Uber’s control of the labor market. What worries him now is that without FTC intervention, we will see more acquisitions in food delivery, as adding restaurant delivery charges is now Uber’s most likely path to profitability. Steinbaum is also concerned that the FTC has put consumer interests ahead of workers’ protection in its review of the Postmates deal.

Lance Peterson, one of the employees affected by the acquisition, was one of Postmates’ most productive food delivery men. About a week ago, he received an email from the company saying, “We’ve checked the numbers and this is the official message.” You are in the top 1 percent of all fellow students. He started working as a courier after he lost his job as a chef at Denny’s due to the pandemic.

But despite his high profile at Postmates, when he tried to switch to Uber Eats, he was rejected. With no other source of income, he is not sure what he will do next with his job.

I was charged with drugs three years ago, he said. “I am a recovering drug addict. I started my own business, but they don’t care.

Maybe. 17, 2021 at 16:52

How much can you earn with DoorDash?

Need extra money? If you’re curious about other ways to make money, you may have thought of the popular food delivery app, DoorDash,

This app is hiring people at supported food delivery locations through the app, but how does one get hired? How do they make money? And how much can you earn on DoorDash?

The question also arises as to whether it is worth working for them. There are other food delivery apps like UberEats or Postmates, so what makes DoorDash different? Or how is it different from a typical courier driver or catering job?

Programs for Windows, mobile applications, games – EVERYTHING is FREE, in our closed telegram channel – Subscribe 🙂

Working with DoorDash has many pros and cons. If you’re thinking about signing up, there are a lot of things you need to know beforehand to decide if you really want to do it.

How do I register with DoorDash?

Your first step to working with DoorDash will be to open their website and search for the “Become a Dasher” section. This is where you enter your zip code and the site will help you register to work for them.

To work with DoorDash you need to meet some requirements to move on:

  • You must be 18 years old.
  • You must have a background check (requiring a social security number)
  • You must have a driver’s license.
  • You must have auto insurance.
  • You must have an Android or Apple smartphone.

You will also need to provide them with your banking information so that your earnings can be deposited.

Once this is all over, you will be sent something you will need to get started. It’s a red card that lets you pay for food when DoorDash can process payment to the restaurant itself, and a hot bag to keep the food you deliver warm.

In addition to these things, you will of course need a data plan for your phone and a car. Once you’ve got what you need from DoorDash, you’ll have to go back to their website and activate the red card sent to you. You also need to download the Dasher app, which will give you download instructions.

How does DoorDash delivery work?

After setting up the application, the first screen you will always be taken to is the map. This map will tell you something about the area you are in, which will help you choose when you want to deliver. The advantage of DoorDash is that you can choose the hours you want to work.

This is best done when the area you are in a hurry is marked busy. This is when you get the most jobs and make the most money with DoorDash. When you decide you want to start, all you have to do is click “Start Dash”.

If the area you are in is gray shaded, you will probably have to schedule work later, which you can easily do by clicking “Schedule” on the map. You can also schedule a quick time by going to the dedicated “Schedule” section on the bottom navigation bar.

Once you start off feverishly, you’ll have a checklist to make sure you have everything you need and then you’re officially on the job. During the fever, you will be offered delivery tasks, which you can either accept or refuse until another one appears. You will be shown the estimated income from each job as they become available. Keep in mind that giving up work affects your completion rate and may affect whether or not you receive any bonuses for a certain amount of time.

When you accept a job, DoorDash will give you directions to the restaurant and order information. They will also tell you the set time after which you need to get to the place. Upon arrival, you will need to confirm that you are in the application. You can then go to a restaurant and ask for an order. Always take a hot bag, as some restaurants won’t give you an order if you don’t have it with you.

You will then confirm with the app once you receive your food and it will tell you where to leave it. Again, you have a target time to deliver it. After you deliver the food, you will complete the order and get paid for this work.

How much can you earn with DoorDash?

The amount you earn in each job is affected by many factors. DoorDash has a model for how much it pays you per order.

Base salary is the amount you are guaranteed to receive. It depends on how far the order is from you, how long it will take and how likely it is that other drivers will take on the job. The base salary, according to DoorDash, can range from $2 to $10.

Then there are additional bonuses such as maximum pay. This happens when you are in a hurry during a particularly busy time and DoorDash will add extra money to your final payment for each delivery. To get this, you usually need to sign up for a certain number of jobs.

Finally, there are hints. The customer can add a tip through the app and you will receive it as soon as you complete the order. The client can also tip you.

The amount you can earn per hour during busy times is usually between $10 and $30. However, it definitely changes from hour to hour, depending on the vacancies available to you.

For more traditional delivery work, you’ll probably pay around the same amount or less. Another attraction of DoorDash is that you can work whenever you want. However, you will have to pay for your own gas. Depending on the mileage you get for your car, the payment that DoorDash gives you can definitely be worth it.

All in all, DoorDash is definitely a viable option for making extra money, even more than your standard delivery driver job.

Bonuses for getting started and gamification: how Uber manipulates drivers

What delivery looks like for Uber Eats

on a bike to minimize transportation costs and showcase how much an Uber Eats driver can earn. The bike does not require gasoline, maintenance, parking, and the speed of its movement in the city is comparable to the speed of a car.

In three months I delivered 300 packages for Uber Eats, 50 for Postmates and 20 for Doordash. In that short time, I survived a two-car collision, a bike theft, and an attempted sex order. I can only imagine what couriers with years of experience have to go through.

When I started working for Uber Eats, I thought the main problem would be low pay. The minimum wage in San Francisco is $15 an hour, and I certainly didn’t make that much. While the rewards were indeed very small, I found Uber’s much more serious flaws.

Manipulative tactics

To understand the actions of Uber, you need to remember the beginning of his work. At that time, the service sought to register as many new customers and drivers as possible. How did he manage to attract them?

The company offered huge discounts to passengers and big salaries to taxi drivers – all financed by investors. Uber chose this tactic to quickly capture the market and establish itself as a major player.

For a short time, this really gave customers low-cost transportation and drivers well-paid jobs. But as Uber grew, it began phasing out their rewards to show investors that they were making a profit.

But why didn’t the taxi drivers leave? There is nothing on this platform that would make them stay, is there?

Instead of high salaries, Uber used a combination of psychological tricks and gamification to attract and retain drivers. The company understands that the longer a person works on the platform, the more likely they are to stay. Finding a new job is difficult, and barring a major life event, the employee will almost certainly stay where they are. The known is much safer than the unknown, especially if you have a family to feed.

Here’s How Uber Retains Drivers

three months or less. In this case, the inviter also receives a reward. This is a genius move by Uber.

Signup bonus makes Uber go viral as every taxi driver tries to convince friends to start using the platform. In addition, this puts social pressure on new drivers – they tend to fulfill orders so that their acquaintances receive money. Finally, they too are rewarded if they decide to stay.

Paypal used a similar tactic at the very beginning. He paid $10 to sign up and another $10 for each person he invited. This has helped the company achieve the viral growth it needs to reach its current business size.

Paypal knew that $10 was a very low price to pay to acquire an audience in its industry. He also realized that the lifetime value of their average customer would be well over $10. This has benefited both PayPal and people. They got paid for connecting to a great service, and Paypal got an impressive customer base.

But if this tactic worked for both parties with Paypal, why not with Uber? The fact is that Uber gets drivers, but in the long run does not allow them to earn decent money. The company attracts people with a bonus, but then gradually reduces their salary. Ask an Uber driver how much they made a year ago and how much they make now. The difference will amaze you.

2. Platform with game elements

To retain drivers, Uber also uses gamification in payments, quests and push notifications. Here’s what a standard delivery receipt looked like:

  • Distance $0.19
  • Time $1.76
  • Fee to receive $0.97
  • Transfer fee $0.65
  • Tip $1.00
  • $1.00 increase
  • $0. 36 surcharge
  • Your earnings $6.43

Look at all the factors that affect pay! The idea of the company is that the more items on the receipt, the stronger the feeling that I can earn more. The more I feel that I can beat the system, the more successfully it beats me.

In addition, Uber rewards drivers for completing quests, tasks that must be completed within a certain number of rides and a certain amount of time. This tactic takes our desire to complete a goal and reinforces it with the name “quest”. But why was it chosen?

Quest is a word that sets specific expectations. It is associated with adventure, mystery and excitement. Would you take on a task or quest with great interest?

And Uber’s last tool is daily push notifications for taxi drivers offering to choose a quest for the week, work during peak lunch hours, invite a friend, and so on. Some of them are useful, but in any case, this is also a way of manipulation.

I’m a big fan of gamification for healthy habits, but the way Uber uses it just doesn’t feel right. Game elements of the application do not help drivers, but lure them into a trap.

Trap

Uber attracts taxi drivers with bonuses and then keeps them with initially decent pay and gamification. But over time, drivers earn less and less. In just three months of my work on the platform, the bonus for a quest with four trips fell from $12 to $6. That’s 50% less!

The longer a person is on the platform, the less likely they are to leave – changing jobs will cost them too much.

It is not clear how he is supposed to find time to find new career paths, write cover letters and write resumes if he has to work more and more. The longer a taxi driver stays at an Uber, the more difficult it becomes to move to another location.

It’s not impossible, but finding a new job is difficult and daunting for most people, not to mention those with dwindling savings and dwindling free time.

Moving Forward

I’ve mostly referred to Uber in this article, but this tactic is used by most giganomy platforms: Postmates, Doordash, Lyft, and others. These companies have quickly become an integral part of modern life, but the convenience they provide comes at a cost to the performers. Drivers use their own car, do without health insurance, and quickly accumulate debt.

Labor automation is beginning to take root everywhere – soon giant companies will give up drivers, leaving them only loans and a worn-out car as compensation. And this is not the future I want to see for them.

Thinking about becoming a Postmates courier? Here’s what you need to know | Blog.postmates.com

The on-demand economy has created unique new jobs. There is an Uber Driver, an Elevator Driver, and an Airbnb host. There’s an Instacart driver to deliver your groceries efficiently, a Sprig server to provide you with a delicious salad, and an Amazon Flex delivery man to deliver your long-awaited purchases. Don’t forget the TaskRabbit to help with everyday tasks, the cart to move your furniture, and of course the Postmates courier. Because Postmates allows you to deliver goods by car, scooter, motorcycle, or even bicycle, working at Postmates looks like an attractive job for residents of US cities.

Because the service allows for multiple modes of transport, Postmates is open to almost anyone who is looking for a part-time job. And any company that lets you set your own hours of work immediately grabs the attention of millennials looking for stable part-time jobs. Want to know the details? Read on to find out everything you need to know about what the job of Postmates entails, how to get started, and everything the job has to offer.

What is Postmates?

Postmates allows users to order food from local restaurants and even pharmacies and grocery stores | Jewel Samad / AFP / Getty Images

how many children does Michael Vick have

Odnokursniki is an application that promises users “all the best in your city in a matter of minutes. ” The platform allows users to order food from a wide variety of restaurants, delis, food bars and food trucks in their cities. In some cases, they may even order essentials from the local pharmacy, clothing store, liquor store, or grocery store. Usually the most popular orders are takeaway food from local eateries.

As a general rule, Postmates couriers will wait for orders in a busy area. Once they accept an order from a customer, they become responsible for calling the restaurant to place the order. (Or, if customers place an order at a restaurant that Postmates has an official partnership with, someone from Postmates customer service will call the order, and the Postmates courier just needs to pick it up and deliver it.) If the courier calls the restaurant himself and needs to clarify what condiments the customer wants, or any other particulars of the order, they will contact them to get the answers they need.

After placing the order, the courier finds a parking space near the restaurant. The order is paid for with a Pex card issued by Postmates. (It’s also a good idea to have some cash on hand, as there are several cash-only restaurants, and Postmates will reimburse the courier for these orders.) Then it’s time to move to the client’s home or apartment building, park and deliver the order.

Postmates couriers pretty much agree that platform driving is a part-time job that is very different from Uber, which has employees who work all day and can make a lot of income from full-time driving. The biggest advantage of couriers is that they can set their own schedule and get paid to explore their city.

The company says couriers can make up to $25 an hour delivering Postmates, plus tips. Postmates takes a percentage of the shipping fee, but couriers keep 100% of their tips. Depending on which mode of transport you use – driving a car, riding a motorcycle or cycling – you are likely to incur related costs. Remember that gas, wear and tear on your car, and the cost of regular maintenance will affect your income.

Like most demand-driven platforms, Postmates allows you to work anytime you want and as much or as little as you want. Employees who have posted Postmates reviews on Indeed report that Postmates delivery is very difficult. good side job. However, if users don’t tip, then you’re making “near minimum wage.” And if traffic and parking problems are common in your city, you can expect them to be annoying when you work at Postmates. Some couriers even complain that they ended up with multiple parking tickets, or feared multiple times that their car would be towed.

On the other hand, several employees note that the role of a Postmates courier can be great if you like to explore your city and find new restaurants. It can also be an interesting job for those who love meeting and talking to new people. Your day may vary in speed, number of deliveries, and locations you will travel to. So being a Postmates courier can be a great part-time job if you’re adventurous and crave variety.

As with any demand-side economy, it’s a good idea to keep track of your expenses and figure out how much you earn when you factor them in. For example, one Indeed user calculated that in their city, “the only way to earn $15.” $25 an hour is at least 2 deliveries an hour and getting a good tip.” They said that from 10 pm to 1 am on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays is the best opportunity to generate income. And you can’t forget taxes – you could be in debt to the government if you’re making good money from Postmates, so be sure to put some money aside.

How do I get started with Postmates?

Applying for a job at Postmates is easy | Joe Radle / Getty Images

You can apply online to work for Postmates. You will need to complete a background check and then complete a 30-minute briefing in your area. You will need to bring government-issued photo ID, a copy of a valid insurance card if you will be driving, a smartphone, and a voided check or back bill and routing number to set up direct deposit. Harry Campbell reports for The Rideshare Guy that his Postmates orientation session only lasted 20 to 30 minutes, followed by a short Q&A session. Data verification takes two to four days.

In an introductory session, Campbell learned that as a Postmates courier, you can work in any city or state where Postmates is available. (This is very different from Uber and Lyft. These companies only allow you to work in one state, and sometimes only within your city or region.) Campbell notes that for Postmates, the most lucrative hours of operation—right before lunch and dinner—can be correlated with periods of low demand with Uber or Lyft. This is an option you should consider if you are thinking about working with multiple platforms.

Once you pass the background check, Postmates will call you for an introductory session. Campbell says the manager will go over the details of what it’s like to work for Postmates during the session. For example, in Campbell’s session, he learned that takeout is the most common delivery. In addition, the payment depends on the distance between pick-up and drop-off points. After the session, you can start taking orders and delivering.

Some Postmates couriers have complained that the Postmates driver app does not work correctly and needs to be updated frequently. Others point out that the process of initially setting up your account to receive payment can be painful. In addition, the safety of your work depends on the ratings you receive from customers. This can be a source of stress for couriers in cities with poor traffic or little parking. But overall, Postmates is a good option to consider if you’re interested in moving to a demand-side economy platform. This is especially true if you want to use Postmates in addition to Uber or Lyft, since the best times for food delivery and sharing can be quite different. As Campbell explains:

I can also imagine a day when you log into the Uber app in the morning and catch the morning hustle and then around lunchtime you open Postmates and cash in on the lunch crowd returning to Uber for early evening commuters, Postmates again in a rush for dinner and then Uber to close the night and take everyone to/from the bars. Obviously it’s going to be a long day, but you can see how often Postmates’ peak demand periods (lunch/dinner) correlate with Uber’s low demand times.

While blog posts about the typical Postmates courier’s “average” income may seem daunting, it’s important to remember what “average” means in relation to economic demand apps. The average user is usually the one who approaches the platform casually without doing a lot of research on when and where it is most beneficial to operate it. If you are more disciplined in your work as a Postmates courier and learn what you need to do to be successful in your city, then you will have a good chance of earning more than the average.

Pre-K4 | Austin ISD

Is Your Child Eligible? Use the Pre-K Eligibility Screener

Austin ISD Pre-K4 is available for free for children who are eligible. We also offer tuition-based Pre-K for students who don’t meet the qualifications for district-supported Pre-K. Not all AISD schools offer Pre-K4, and not all offer tuition-based Pre-K4. Locations are listed on this page.

Are you eligible for district-supported (Free) Pre-K4?

  1. Use the Pre-K Eligibility Screener to determine eligibility.
  2. Not eligible for district-supported Pre-K? Register for tuition-based Pre-K4.

The Early Childhood staff will review submitted screener and request supporting documents:

  1. Proof of Income: Most recent pay stub or unemployment statement, worker’s compensation, disability payment, or no income statement
  2. SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid Benefits: Most recent proof of benefits to include effective dates, case number, and child’s name
  3. Military Service: Statement of Service, Letter from Veterans Affairs stating eligibility for disability or Letter from Commanding Officer. Do NOT upload copies of Department of Defense identification
  4. Foster Care: DFPS Verification Letter of PreK Eligibility or other documentation of foster care.
  5. Star of Texas Award: Certificate or Letter from Governor or state representative

Families will scan or take a picture of requested documents and upload them to a Pre-K Eligibility Documentation Request Google form.

Early Childhood staff will verify PreK eligibility and notify families.

Families will complete registration paperwork online or with the campus.

In Pre-K 4, children are introduced to concepts that provide the foundation for all future learning. Conscious Discipline is the district supported social-emotional framework that helps young students regulate their emotions and prepare their brains for learning. As they work with their school family, students develop skills in Social Studies, Language, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Technology and Fine Arts.

Frog Street provides an integrated, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive curriculum used in all classrooms for 4-year-olds across the district. Teachers use their expertise to blend hands-on, whole group and small group opportunities that provide a fun environment for young learners to flourish and practice their skills at a pace that is just right for them.

Get Started – Pre-K Houston

More questions? Need help with enrollment? Call or text 713-589-8767.

How to Enroll

You can enroll your child in pre-K starting in the spring. To get the best chance of enrolling in your top choice school, start the process as early as possible.

You have plenty of options when it comes to finding a high-quality pre-K near you. And it’s completely free if you meet income or language requirements. Before you choose a school, find out if you qualify for free pre-K and what your options are.

Step 1: Find out if you qualify for free pre-K

You could qualify for FREE pre-K if you are eligible. To find out, take the eligibility quiz.

Step 2: Find your program

If you qualify for free pre-K and live anywhere in Greater Houston or Harris County, there’s a free, quality pre-K program near you. Scroll down to see information on each district and Head Start program below, which both offer free pre-K. Don’t know which district you’re zoned to?

Type your address into our map to see schools nearby.

Note: If you don’t qualify for free pre-K, you still have options! Check below if your district offers a tuition program. You can also find more information below on private pre-K programs.

Step 3: Make a list of your favorite schools

Think about your needs as a family, whether that’s half-day or full-day options, aftercare, a bus service, school meals or programs for learning English.

Note: Every school is different, and their times and offerings can change, especially during the pandemic. Once you have your list, call the school or visit their website to double-check the details.

Step 4: Gather your documents

To be able to show that you meet one or more of these criteria, you’ll need to fill out some paperwork. No one will ask you or your child about your citizenship status. This paperwork is so that we can get you approved for free pre-K and all children and families are welcome!

Find out what documents you need to get started.

Step 5: Enroll your child in pre-K!

You can enroll online or call your district to enroll. In some cases, you can make an appointment to enroll in-person.

Note: Every school district has a different process for enrollment. If you get overwhelmed, don’t worry. There’s a dedicated call center for helping you understand how it all works. (And we speak Spanish!)

  • Grand Prairie ISD is honored that you are considering placing your child at one of our Pre-K facilities. We want to make the registration process for Pre-K as simple as possible, so we have developed these guidelines to help along the way.

The Pre-K program in GPISD has been developed using the TEA’s guidelines and early education best practices, including dual language at a majority of our campuses.  Our program provides a rigorous environment addressing the developmental and social needs, academic content, and readiness skills essential for children’s success.

Our focus is on bringing families together in an educational community that provides a rich environment in which students can develop and reach their potential. We intentionally develop strong relationships with students, their families, and our community.

Answers to popular questions

  • What is an introductory lesson?

During the introductory lesson, the tutor will tell you what an online English school is, introduce you to the platform and help you determine the level and goals. It’s free and takes 30-40 minutes.

  • When can I take the introductory lesson?

You can visit the school at any time convenient for you. To do this, just leave a request and sign up for a lesson.

  • What do you need to start learning English online?

All you need to study is a computer or phone with a microphone, camera and Internet access. Wherever you are – in Moscow, Kazan, Novosibirsk or Bali – an online English school will be at hand.

  • I can’t come to class, what should I do?

It’s okay, it happens! Students have the opportunity to cancel a lesson 8 hours before the scheduled time without losing payment. So you can reschedule it for a convenient time, and the teacher will have the opportunity to adjust the schedule.

Learn English at your own pace. We will select a convenient schedule and at any time we will help you change the schedule, take a break or adjust the program.

The introductory meeting is 30-40 minutes long, all other lessons in the adult English course are 50 minutes long.

  • How to become a teacher?

Leave a request on the site and record a short audio interview about your experience. We will contact you by mail and tell you about the upcoming stages. Don’t worry, first we will introduce you to our platform, then the facilitator will play the role of a student in your first class. After successfully passing the selection, you will be able to open the schedule and start teaching immediately.

Pre-registration for class

When a child starts first grade, his life changes dramatically. Dozens of new rules appear, he is surrounded by new children and yet unfamiliar adults. You need to learn how to navigate in the classrooms and corridors, keep track of your things, do homework!

Stress in the first months of primary school is very high for children. If you prepare your child for school in advance: give the basics of mathematics, teach them to read and write in block letters, prepare their hand for writing, teach them to follow the instructions of the teacher, it will be much easier for him to adapt to school life.

The course “Preparing for school” in our children’s center gives children all the necessary skills:

  • Reading, preparing hands for writing.
  • Improved logical thinking, attention, memory
  • Expanding knowledge about the world around us – learning to observe, compare, highlight signs.
  • Large vocabulary, coherent speech and speech attention
  • Counting, correlating numbers with quantities, the ability to compare, find patterns in number series.

Pre-registration for a lesson

In games for self-control children learn to do their task without being distracted by a neighbor, not to shout from their seats, to follow the instructions of the teacher. And the use of different teaching aids and materials makes learning interesting, and children look forward to every lesson.

We learn to read according to the author’s program “Chitaika” – training is based on the principles of neuropedagogy, neuropsychology and the right hemisphere approach (teacher Maria Kovalevskaya). And also according to the classical program using Zaitsev’s cubes – from syllables to the word (teacher Alisa Pryanishnikova) As a result, all children read meaningfully and with pleasure.

During math block we use counting material from pebbles, shells and cones to rubber bands, figurines and pompoms. The children enthusiastically work with Gyenesch blocks (flat geometric figures), geoboards, Tangrams, Fold a Pattern cubes, Kuizener sticks, three-dimensional figures and mathematical weights, teaching aids and notebooks by Zhenya Kats and Shevelev’s manual.

In the classroom we create a “zone of success” for children. Indeed, for a harmonious, natural development, disclosure of their creative abilities and success, a child must be absolutely confident in his abilities, must be convinced that he will succeed! We do our best to make it so.

Choose a class time convenient for you, come meet the teachers, and go on an exciting journey into the world of knowledge, research and discoveries!

Alisa Pryanishnikova

Alisa graduated from the Moscow City Pedagogical University with a degree in elementary education and since 2018 she has been working in kindergartens, as a teacher of a short stay group, conducting developmental classes, as well as a set of classes to prepare for school.

Alice is very inspired by the Reggio approach, she shares the idea that the child is not a “clean slate”, but a “full vessel”, and the task of the teacher is to carefully and unobtrusively help him discover his potential, develop his abilities, learn to explore world and interact with other people, giving him the opportunity to speak in the “hundred languages” he knows. And Alice does a great job of being not a strict aunt for the children, but a senior friend, colleague, applicant, with whom every day in kindergarten is a fun game and an exciting adventure!

Here is what she herself says about her work: “I like to watch how children grow day by day, develop in their own way, which each of them chooses for himself. And we, of course, help in this :)”

I have been studying at CHICAGA for 6 months, now at the Elementary level. Came with zero knowledge.

I have already begun to understand my foreign friends better.

It was important for me that the school was modern and stylish. I also looked at ratings, and first of all I searched on the Internet. That’s how I found CHICAGA. The school met all my requirements.

It’s really very comfortable here, I like the design and cleanliness. Teachers charge with emotions and energy, it is always fun with classmates. The administrators are very nice.

My teacher is Kate. I really enjoy working with her. In the lessons we sing popular songs and translate them – it’s very funny. It’s very cool to understand songs and learn the language that way. We also watch videos, study from a textbook, and do various exercises.

When we come to class, we never expect what will happen. During the breaks, Kate also demands to speak English, even though we have an Elementary level. It’s cool 🙂

The trial lesson was very funny, because Kate is always positive and emotional. At first it was a shock for me, because I am a rather calm person. And then I got charged from Kate and just caught her wave and realized that I want to stay at this school, because it’s insanely cool. That is, it always lifts the mood.

I like that we are learning a modern language, and not like in a school where they teach from old textbooks. I love TikTok and foreign humor and I want to understand English.

Also, I am a stylist and I need English to communicate with foreign clients. It is important for me to speak with them in their language, and not in some kind of broken language or sit in an interpreter who cannot translate normally.

Everything is very cool in CHICAGA, I like it!

Don’t be afraid to try. Come to CHICAGA school! 🙂

The first time I came to the CHICAGA school on Engels, I turned around and left. Because I thought it couldn’t be a school. This is either a trendy loft or a cafe. Or a place where positive youth gathers and rests. Since I have, one might say, a Soviet idea of a school: these are strict buildings, people and an aunt with a pointer.

It’s completely different here. Special approach to students. A special style in general for the entire interior. Well, what is important for me, they are native speakers. People who can really talk to you without an accent. Well, a little slang, why not? We are all on the same wavelength here.

          Thank you very much, CHICAGA!

In CHICAGA I passed 3 levels, including Advanced. I used to watch series in English with subtitles. And now I calmly watch the series in full in the original without subtitles. This is great.

Before, when I wanted to say something in English, I first had to translate in my mind from Russian into English, and then say it. But in the last year I haven’t. I immediately understood everything in my head in English. That is, my thought went faster. And when I communicate with someone abroad, there is no such thing as if I am with an interpreter. I speak English right away.

I really like that I don’t feel any barriers in communicating with foreigners. Because I know I can only screw up if it’s some old buzzword from the 80s or 90s that not many people use now.

My wife recommended CHICAGA to me. Her friend studied here. And there were insanely good reviews about this school. After the consultation, I realized that I want to study here. After the first lesson there were only positive emotions. We sang and played. I don’t really like to sing, but I even liked doing it in class 🙂

In CHICAGA I was most impressed by the teacher – very creative, positive, singing beautifully and exciting class in a very fun way.

I also like grammar at the lessons. Because it is also taught in a very interesting way – in conversational mode. The material is explained, we immediately fix it with tasks. We ask questions if we don’t understand something.

When I watch films in English, now I understand what they are talking about. Or at work there are some moments where I can already say a word. It is very nice. And this is the most important thing that makes you want to study further – that something works out.

I need English mainly for work and just to communicate with different people while traveling. Because studying the world through people is very interesting and informative. CHICAGA just helps me with this.

Classes with native speakers are very unusual because face to face communication is much easier. I tried to communicate in video chats, and it’s not very convenient. And here they can explain to you, and they speak insanely clear English, which is also quite rare. I go on Sundays to the conversation club that this school also has.

The design of the school is very conducive to learning. Very cozy and pleasant. And modern.

In an ordinary school there were constant jumps on various topics. And in CHICAGA it is a consistent chain of necessary and timely tasks, lessons and topics. They follow each other very clearly, very correctly. And it helps to see the full picture of the level that I am currently studying.

You can come to a free trial lesson. And everything will fall into place, I’m sure. Because the same thing happened to me. Try, be sure to try, you will succeed 🙂

After Pre-Intermediate I started to really speak. It made it easier for me. I became less embarrassed to speak English. In CHICAGA they reveal me, and now they are revealing me at Intermediate)

This has already helped me a lot in a real life situation:

At work, no one but me knows English. And once foreigners came to us, who did not know a word of Russian. And I talked to them in English for several hours. So glad I could freely tell them whatever I wanted! I really liked that I understood them very calmly. They had a full accent, and I was afraid that suddenly at some point I might not understand them. But no, everything was perfectly clear.
And they also calmly understood me and didn’t even ask again 🙂 They told me that my English was good. It was very pleasant for me that I did not study in vain.

I was choosing between several English courses for adults in St. Petersburg. I really liked the staff at CHICAGA. You know, it happens that when you come, people seem to smile, explain everything, but not with a soul to you. And here people are very open, always help. In CHICAGA, I somehow immediately relaxed and realized that this is where I want to go.

My teacher is Alina. She is always very optimistic, always joyful, always helps, prompts, explains and gives what you need. This is very cool!

I really like the teacher’s approach to the lesson, how it is conducted, in what forms. The group loves it too. She’s not too big, and not too small. Everyone has the opportunity to respond. You can ask any questions. And they will explain everything to you. Even if they just explained it all, and you suddenly didn’t understand, everything will be sorted out for you again. This is so cool!

And it’s good that we’ll go through some material and immediately fix it here. That is, at home you just repeat everything that we went through. And here with you fix it all completely.

Sometimes we even sing songs. That’s great! Because before, when I myself looked at the lyrics of the song, I somehow figured out what was what. And now I can understand without translation what the song is about. And I am very pleased with this, because I listen to songs in English most often. Here they teach how to understand them.

I am also glad that we listen a lot in order to perceive speech.

I really like that everything goes in a very friendly manner. That is, they don’t put pressure on you, as in ordinary schools, or, for example, in classes with a tutor. And there is a desire to learn. When I came to Chicago, I needed it for my studies. And now I like it even more for myself. I want to work, work and work 🙂

I started studying at Chicago a month and a half ago. I found out about the school on the Internet, using the list of the best English language schools in St. Petersburg.

After a short interview, I got into the Elementary group at a convenient time for me, which I chose among others offered. This was in many ways a determining factor, along with the kind attitude of administrators, responsiveness and laudatory feedback to the teacher who supervises the group in which I study.

I was definitely not deceived about the teacher. Alice is a very responsive teacher, proving that this is not a profession, but a vocation. After unsuccessful answers on my part, I am always ashamed, first of all, in front of her, given how much she invests in us.

I didn’t study English before because I was sure that I wouldn’t succeed, but in a month and a half I already realized that I would succeed.

I would also like to note the interchangeability of teachers in the school. When Alice was forced to miss a few classes, she was replaced by Alina, who proved to be a highly qualified specialist with a different approach, but at the same time having the desired effect.

I went to Chicago to think in English as in Russian. So far this is a long way off, but I’m getting there. But now, after classes, I talk a little in English, which cannot but rejoice. If, like me, you once think that languages are not given to you, then break yourself, they will definitely help you here!

At CHICAGA school I have already passed 2 levels: Beginner and Elementary.
The first thing I felt was that I stopped feeling like a fool next to my children 🙂 My children have a very good level of English. And very often they spoke among themselves in English, and all sorts of bad words. And now I began to understand everything)

Second: I tried to watch films. Until I understand everything, sometimes speech is too fast for me. But cartoons … For the first time in my life, I watched Peppa Pig (Peppa Pig). That is, I did not even watch it in Russian. And now look at English. And it’s so cool when the characters speak English, and I understand them!

I have been learning English all my life. I tried to learn, actually. I had tutors. And I didn’t understand a word at all. There was always a very big problem in hotels that I couldn’t quarrel properly when something didn’t suit me. Because of this, I came to English at all, because somehow they gave us the wrong number in the hotel. The only thing I could say was that I needed a Russian assistant. Okay, it turned out that they brought him. And if not? It would be very embarrassing.

And only here, in “Chicago”, I realized that I have some not only great abilities, but at least I can move and learn English. And before, I thought that I had no ability for languages at all. In the end, it turned out that this was not the case. So I’m slowly walking. And now I have already finished Elementary.

I chose the English language school for adults in St. Petersburg based on reviews and ratings. Somehow I liked Chicago more. Well, plus a teacher. I want Alina to be proud of me, to be glad that I’m trying 🙂

It’s hard for me to speak English. But still, I see for myself: the difference is huge between the fact that I came and wrote the test, and now.
After the first page of the test, I said: “That’s it, take it, put me on the very first level. I do not understand anything”. Went to Beginner.
That’s what saved me, because I’m gradually learning English. I work very hard, I have a lot of all sorts of other studies. And sometimes there is an overload of the brain. I walk individually, it helps to slow down a little. At times like these, we watch Peppa Pig. These are my favorite lessons, in fact 🙂 Then I continue to study with renewed vigor.

I am satisfied, I will go to the end)

Now I can speak English calmly, even with unfamiliar people, without fear of making mistakes in pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. Yes, and grammar is improving, vocabulary is expanding.
Knowledge of English has already helped a couple of times in communicating with foreigners.

I like the structure of the organization of the lesson and the principle of teaching. You can study individually, you can in groups, depending on the goals of training.

I attended level 2. And at both levels there was a very interesting good company, both students and teachers. Very charged, emotional, active, positive.

I like the fact that from the beginning of the class to the end we speak English.

3 trial lessons in groups are free.
They are not obligated to anything. There is no need to pay anything or buy a package of classes.

We give 3 trial classes in different groups so that you can study with different teachers and different classmates and choose the best group for you.
It is important that the teacher suits you 100%.
Then learning English will be more interesting and effective.

Combinations of trial lessons possible: 2 in different groups + 1 individual, at school + online, in different types of courses

          • 20% discount when buying a group course from 4 months, 25% discount when buying a group course from 12 months

Tuition can be paid monthly or at a discount when buying a full course (20% discount when buying a group course from 4 months, 25% – from 12 months).
          Payment by installments is possible.
Schools accept payment by bank card and cash.
You can pay online on our website.

Conversation course takes place every Saturday and Sunday.
Groups are divided according to the level of English proficiency.

At a free consultation, we will determine your level of English and offer a convenient option and cost of studying depending on your goals (standard course, specialized, conversational), the format of training (at school or online, in a group or individually, in a group + individually) and duration of training.

With full payment of a group course from 4 months, a 20% discount, from 12 months – 25%.
25% discount for online classes from the cost of offline classes.

Groups start as soon as we recruit 2 people.
This does not affect the cost of training.

After the first year of operation, we abandoned the subscription system after questioning our students and experiment: by different teachers.

There is no relationship between lessons in the subscription. It’s like reading a book with selective pages and wondering where the old hero has gone and where the new one came from.
The subscription can be used to maintain the current level. And for development it is necessary to move from lesson to lesson.

We care about our students and their time. Therefore, we have training under the international Oxford program.
And to keep the language level up to date, there is a conversation course on weekends.

I want to express my gratitude to the teachers Galina and Natalia (branch in Vesnyanka). Thank you for your knowledge, which you not only own, but also know how to pass on to each student. Thank you for putting your soul into your work. Children go to school with great enthusiasm. You are professionals in your field. Thank you for your hard work! I want to say special thanks to the administrator Ludmila for her goodwill. Any question or request is never left without attention.

Another semester has ended and I realized how classes at IH school entered my life, how I will miss my wonderful group and wonderful teacher Evgenia! Despite the evening after-work hours, despite the online format and periodic technical difficulties on my part, the classes were held at a decent level, debriefing to a full understanding, additional homework to reinforce, game formats. Especially pleased with the friendly atmosphere in the group! Separately, I want to note the high level of service of administrators, I could always clarify all questions, payment points, order a certificate by phone. Impeccable tact and competence! I’m already looking forward to the fall semester 😌

I want to express my gratitude to the English teacher Veronika Kulikovskaya for her high professionalism, care, attentiveness and interesting lessons. The class time flew by unnoticed. Veronika knows how to involve the whole group in the learning process and competently guide and support.
I wish the school further success and thank you for the quality selection of teachers!

          2. Class schedule – convenient for a child attending a general education school on the first shift
          3. Teaching aids – the child likes it
          4. Teacher – the child loves his teacher, the mother is also pleased, because the teacher is both in writing (at the end of the quarter) and in person tell about the success of the child
          5. The quality of the product – progress is visible, which means everyone likes it 👍

My daughter has been attending IH for a year and plans to continue her studies here.

The child goes to classes with pleasure, it is clear that she likes it. In addition, the result and the knowledge gained are visible.

141b gets to the school of English from Leskovka. In principle, the bus schedule and classes this year are more or less convenient. How it will be next year – I don’t know, because. The school will study in 2 shifts. Therefore, it would be more convenient to study at BSSH No. 3.

Everything else is fine. My daughter likes the teacher, and when Olga is on sick leave, Katya gets upset.

The manuals are interesting and informative.

          Egorova Yuliya Petrovna

At the beginning of the school year, I decided to enroll my daughter in an English language class. On the advice of my friends, my choice was the International House school, because I heard a lot of positive feedback, I was satisfied with the time of the classes and the location of the office. During the academic year, my daughter attended classes with pleasure, learned a lot of new things. I want to express my gratitude to Olga for the skillful organization of the entire educational process: for the use of various techniques and methods in mastering the material, which helped the child to quickly and easily assimilate the material given. I would also like to express my gratitude to the administrator of this school, Irina. For her polite and attentive attitude to organizational issues. Thanks to the English language school, my daughter enjoyed learning English.

          mother, Zhernosek Irina Vladimirovna.

          Irina

Thank you very much for your lessons!

The child says: Hooray, today is a test!)))

The location is very convenient, he can come and return home.

Convenient schedule: comes home after school (I shift at school), has time to relax and do homework.

I really like the teacher, the child goes with joy.

At the end of the school year with IH, I would like to thank you for the interesting and intensive classes. This was not my first attempt at learning English, but I finally not only did it (without quitting in the middle), but also achieved significant success. I especially want to mention Ekaterina Afanasieva – thanks to her, verb tenses, pronunciation and many other topics that previously did not arouse interest at all 🙂 After a whole school year with IH, I realized that it’s worth it for anyone who doesn’t know where to start or, like me, who thinks he can find a month to repeat everything. Here I became sure that not all is lost. Many thanks to Ekaterina, an incredible teacher, thanks to whom I always left the lessons with a smile and a good mood. Thanks IH

I really like the IH English courses. Tanya Kachko is probably the best teacher I have met. It is very clear and easy for me to remember

          Darya Prasnyakova-Leshchanka

I study English. Interesting, fun, advanced teachers. Special thanks to Irina!

          Elena L.

Hello! still looking for a teacher? Tired of boring lessons, and under the mumbling of the teacher, you want to take a nap? Lost hope of speaking like a native? Stop searching! On Zhinovicha 11 there is a teacher from God-Asel, I don’t know where she gets the strength to smile at us from 19:40 and until the victorious, chew on everyone, joke and treat us with love. I began to speak fluently, enriched the vocabulary.

          Elizabeth

Hello! Polina is delighted with the lesson! Say a big THANK YOU to Evgenia! These are apparently the children of the future. They are part of this computer space. They settled in quickly and easily))

          Marina

My daughter is 7 years old. For the second year she has been studying at IH, which is located in the a/g Lesnoy, Minsk region. We were lucky that at one time an IH office opened near us. Here, besides my daughter, there are many children from Lesnoy and Borovlyane who would find it difficult to travel to classes in Minsk on their own. I see that children come to classes with pleasure, many of them make new friends here. This year my daughter went to the 1st grade of a secondary school, however, thanks to the fact that she went to the real lessons at IH all last year and completed the required homework, adaptation to a regular school went quickly. A good material and technical base, small groups, a friendly teacher with fluent English – I consider ideal conditions for the successful study of English.

          Maria Mikhailovna

Convenient office location is a big plus for me personally. The class schedule is convenient and suitable for busy people. The textbooks are quite complete and clearly explain the topics of the classes. Very lucky with the teacher. Everything is explained quite simply and clearly, some moments are literally “chewed”. A pleasant atmosphere certainly creates a feeling of comfort. Courses at the International House advised and will advise, because. I have no complaints, excellent attitude towards students, excellent teachers, and language learning is given simply and interestingly.

          Alina Sergeevna

I sent my child to courses for children. Half a year has passed since the beginning of the visit. English grades at school have grown quite a lot, from 5-6 to 8-9, I plan to go further. And so thanks!

          Irina

Thank you very much to your educational center and our wonderful teacher Tatyana Stefanyuk for knowledge, for a good level and most importantly, for the desire to learn the language. I can’t believe my child doesn’t want to miss classes and she’s interested. Many thanks to Tatyana for being able to find an approach and create a pleasant atmosphere in the classroom!

          Natalia

I would like to thank the excellent teacher Natalia Shirokovskaya (branch in Vesnyanka) for her professionalism and desire to pass on her knowledge to students. This is the merit of Natalia. Happy New Year to the whole team.

          Tatiana

            • They confirm their qualifications annually

We evaluate not only pedagogical, but also general professional competencies of a tutor – for example, the ability to build dialogue and ability to handle stress.

            • Helping you speak English

Our materials are developed using a communicative methodology. This is the most effective approach to learning English online with a tutor.

            • Pass a three-stage selection

Assignment on the subject, a trial lesson with a methodologist and a test period when the mentor monitors the quality of the lessons.

            • Improve teaching skills

70+ workshops and 40 courses at the university for teachers. Each tutor completes at least one training per month.

Didn’t find a suitable tutor? Leave a request, we will help

He will let you get comfortable. The first part takes place individually – you can “feel” the platform and pass a small test, determine the level and select a program. After that, a methodologist will connect with you to answer all your questions, tell you about the learning process and help you create a schedule.

No, you can meet at any time convenient for you.

Absolutely nothing but a phone, computer, or any other device that has a microphone, camera, and internet access.

It’s okay, it happens! Students have the opportunity to cancel a lesson 8 hours before the scheduled time without losing payment.
