AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Cuyahoga Falls KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • My daughter has been at KinderCare since she was born (about five-and-a-half years ago). I went for a tour while I was still pregnant. I decided at that moment this would be the center where she will grow and learn. KinderCare has fantastic and dedicated teachers! Every class my daughter has been in has been a wonderful experience. I have always felt comfortable talking with teachers and other staff about my daughter’s needs. I completely trust the staff to care for my daughter and inform me of anything she needs or they are concerned about. My daughter has grown into a wonderful child. I give some of this credit to the amazing staff which has been there for us since she was born. I have been awestruck by the dedication and caring of the staff. I look forward to the next seven years with KinderCare and intend to enroll children I may have in the future. KinderCare has been such a blessing to my family! Thank you for all you do!

    Rebecca Y. – KinderCare Parent
  • “We started our daughter in KinderCare when she was 9 months old.   Coming from in-home care, we were worried about our daughter getting enough one-on-one attention.  We are blown away by KinderCare and their staff.  Everyone is so friendly and caring, and they strive to go the extra mile to make sure your child is comfortable and thriving.  They truly make you feel like a part of one big family.  Our daughter had trouble sleeping at night before we started her at the center, and now she sleeps through the night, finally!  Ever since she started KinderCare, we can see a difference in her all around.  Her personality is really coming out and she is enjoying socializing with other children.  We could not be happier with KinderCare!

    Emily S. – KinderCare Parent
  • “My daughter has been going to KinderCare since she was 6 months old.  The first day I dropped her off I was very emotional.  I was leaving my baby with perfect strangers for several hours, and wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to make it through the day.   Luckily, I was able to call which I took advantage of the first few days.  However, my confidence in these strangers began to grow tremendously.  I made it a point to stay at drop off and pick up to talk to the teachers.  I wanted to know the person my daughter was spending her day with.  My daughter is now 4.5 years old.  I am proud to say that every room she has been in has been a blessing where she has grown, learned and developed into the smart, caring girl she is today.  Each teacher we have had has made a huge impact on both of us.  I have been blessed to meet some very special people who I like to think of as family.  After all, they spend more time with my daughter during the day than I do.  Each teacher I have come across has a heart of gold and truly loves each and every child in the school.  They took time out of their busy schedules on a weekend to attend a three hour dance recital for my daughter.  I have also run into teacher at sporting events for family and they were there to see their students.   That takes so much compassion, caring and love to take unpaid time away from their families to see ours.  This shows me that teaching at KinderCare is more than just a job to them, that the children at the center are part of their family as well.  Because of the love, support and encouragement my daughter feels, it makes it easier to drop off my child in the moring and go to work to focus on the job I have.  I know without a doubt in mind that my child is having a great day and she is well taken care of.  She gets to experience learning in a classroom environment, gets extra love in phonics, and learns to share, play and be a good friend.  The teaches truly do a fabulous job teaching the students their letters, numbers, colors, shapes, site words, and listening skills to help them excel in their next big adventure.  I can see a huge difference between what my daughter at 4.5 knows compared to other children her age who don’t attend the center.  I could truly go on and on about how much I love the center and the teachers, but I am going to take a moment to single out one special person who holds it all together, the Center Director, Amy.   I seen multiple directors in our time at KinderCare, and she is by far the best.  She has made so many improvements to the center, which has made it fun for the kids as well as entire families.  She has great ideas for center events that incoporate families having fun at school with their children.  Amy truly values families’ opinions and is always very open to discussions and suggestions.  She takes my feedback and addresses it.  She truly believes, as well as each teacher at the center, that the children come first.  For that I am utterly grateful. “

Jenna’s Village

2550 Chamberlain Rd A3, Akron, OH 44313

Starting at $250/day

Description:

Jenna’s Village is the perfect place for your child’s preschool experience.
About The Owner
Your own personal preschool teacher, at your service! My name is Jenna, my students call me Miss Jenna. I have mydegree in Early Childhood Education and have been a teacher for early preschool through pre-k for over a decade. I became an Early Childhood Educator because I want to make a positive impact in this world. Children are our future. Molding them early to be compassionate, resilient, kind, and persistent leaders puts them on a path to greatness. That is my goal; to put your child on the path to greatness.
My Philosophy
At Jenna’s Village the group size is small. I use positive redirection and believe in the power of praise. I believe that all moments can be teachable moments. And most importantly, I believe children need to feel safe and loved to succeed in their learning environments.
The teacher to child ratio in Ohio Preschools and Daycares for the 3-year-old age group is 1:12; for 4- and 5-year-olds, that ratio is 1:14. Having taught both preschool and pre-k for over a decade in 5-Star Ohio StepUp Rated daycares, I know firsthand how unrealistic that ratio is. At that ratio, it will take two hours a day for the teacher to spend just ten minutes with each child in a preschool room. Ten minutes is not that much time, but in these settings it’s almost impossible to do.
A small ratio allows for more interactions between the teacher; interactions that are much more substantial because the teacher can take the time and interact meaningfully with the child. More significantly, it also shows the child that they are worth our time, building that bond between teacher and student.
The preschool environment needs to be one of positivity. It is so important to offer an environment where children are taught and not punished when their behavior seems undesired. I do not turn a child away to time-out when they need help the most. We use breathing exercises to calm our feelings, talk about the problem, strategize what we will do “next” time, and make sure our friends are okay.
Above everything else, your child will feel loved and cared for in this program. I believe the preschool years are such crucial years for a child. A positive experience can really foster their love for learning and give them the confidence and skills they need for success when they arrive to kindergarten!
I look forward to being a positive impact in your child’s growth.

Beautiful place other than a smart ass rude chubby guy who told me the cheapest drink they had was over $3 for a 20 oz. Also, they jack up their stuff, it’s a good place… juss bring your own stuff to grab a bite to eat for all the price…

    GREAT LOCATION AND RIVER VIEW!
The front desk clerk made a mistake on check in, she charged my bill twice. The management does not allow the clerks at the front desk to make adjustments. This is bad customer service.
Note: this was the only negative part of my stay at Wkend.
Beau’s on the River was amazing, they had live acoustic music. Fun! My fam loved the hot tub, there were plenty of towels etc. The suites were spacious and the staff were helpful. Can’t wait for the outdoor grill/bar to open in May. I would recommend this place!

I called the reservation desk to make my reservation. I wanted to be sure to get a swirl number. I then called the hotel and spoke to the front desk, they confirmed that I had booked a whirlpool room. When we checked in, the person at the front desk told us that they did not have whirlpool rooms available and that my booking was not for that room. Instead of trying to make things better, the clerk just told us if we didn’t want to stay here because of this, then we could leave. We decided to stop as we have already been here. There was no menu in the room for a restaurant that offers room service and no TV channel guide. The room was clean but not what I ordered. The toilet was full and within 2 minutes water was at the front door. The noise from the highway is very loud along with the river. It makes for a nice view but it should be warned at check in that it’s loud. We received a refund and left. I am not impressed with this hotel at all and will not go back again.

Awesome hotel – in my opinion the best hotel in the Cuyahoga Falls/Akron/Stowe area. The hotel is located right on top of the river and falls and the view from the central restaurant is amazing. Great food! All rooms are suites with two rooms and are very comfortable. I travel to the area very often and make it a point to always stay at this hotel.

You enter this hotel and see the beautifully decorated lobby. It is wide open with a glass wall at the back. The backdrop to this hotel is a beautiful flowing river that churns the view as soon as it is viewed. The hotel staff were professional and welcoming. The room was just as inviting as the lobby, well designed and spacious.

Large, clean rooms. The pool and hot tub were nice and big. The view from the restaurant was great but the breakfast buffet was mediocre. It was not replenished on the day we were there. I give it a three start just because our room has a terrible mechanical noise at random times throughout the night that even woke the kids up. This is probably not the case for the entire hotel. If not for that room (fifth floor – upstairs) I would have given it 5 stars. I informed the staff about the noise at check out.

What a great view from the restaurant! The service was amazing. Food, salmon, we’re just fine. Drinks were good. Don’t stay at the hotel as my work was completed in Akron but the lobby was welcoming and seems like a very nice place.

Very good hotel. The rooms were very spacious with separate living areas and bathrooms, it felt like my small apartment. We stayed for a New Years Eve celebration and they had a blast, they have their own bar downstairs so there was no need to go anywhere. Was even treated to a full course breakfast the next morning at the actual restaurant! def recommend.

The room was amazing! It was kept very clean and had many neat features such as a pocket door to separate the beds from the sink area which was nice as I got up earlier than my colleague and didn’t want the light to wake her up. The beds were very comfortable and I enjoyed the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided, as well as the mouthwash and lotion. The hotel itself was located within walking distance of some amazing restaurants and a short drive from any other shop you might need.

Very good atmosphere in this restaurant! Wonderful staff, very friendly, always checking my date and myself. The food was good but it took a little longer to prepare and serve than we expected. The waiter didn’t give us a list of cocktails but we ordered some anyway and they were terrible. I would recommend wine instead!

We were there for my son’s wedding which was held elsewhere.
The staff were friendly and the room very comfortable. I really liked the mattress.
We are not experiencing any problems, but some of the wedding party had problems with the air conditioning and another with a leaky ceiling. It was raining very hard.
Both issues were resolved promptly. Very pretty hotel and close to done really cool shops and restaurants.

I have never been to the Sheraton Suites before and I must say the experience was quite good. The staff were very nice and quite professional. The restaurant and bar were not only reasonably priced but had a live jazz band. Our room was a jacuzzi suit which was very comfortable, well kept and plenty of space. Now I had one complaint and that is when we checked in they upgraded us to a new room but that room didn’t have a jacuzzi as the receptionist said. However, he got it right and we got our jacuzzi room. All in all, we plan to return on our next trip.

Lovely big rooms, very comfortable beds, great showers, amazing views. The breakfast could have been better, but not so bad. Noise from roads and falls but pretty good windows to keep it out. Microwave in the room is always at hand.

Amazing. Very friendly staff. When I left the building, I saw a housekeeper vacuuming on sofa cushions. Amazing architecture. Warm environment. Quiet. Room service was prompt and the beer was cold. Attentive and responsive staff. Amazing food. Ideal for a holiday away from children. With animals and does not smell like animals. Great environment.

Very convenient location for a wedding nearby and a reception hall. The hotel is very well maintained with very good rooms for the price, also has a pretty cool “rock lift” that will allow you to go outside and check out the rocks along the river. The only complaint is the shuttle service to our wedding was unbearably slow to and from Quaker Square.

We just had our wedding here, September 2015. The location was beautiful and the staff was top of every detail. Our block of rooms were nice and spacious. Maitre D’, CEA, oversaw all the details, at the end of which took all the pressure off us for the day, and Jennifer Sturgeon agreed with us from the main start to make sure we had the wedding we wanted. The end result was that our wedding was amazing, the guests loved it and the evening was unforgettable in the best possible way. Thank you!

Nice big room. The bar has a great vibe, the bar guards all knew how to make a good dry martini (big plus for me) and we had great conversations. The restaurant was lovely every night I ate there. The fried sea bass with baby bokchoi and purple sticky rice was delicious as was the creme brulee. My favorite place to stay when in the Akron area.

The best sleeping beds in the universe. I have stayed at the Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls twice, both quite stressful. The first time was a couple of nights for my daughter’s wedding (good stress!) and the room was so calm and relaxing and the bed was so comfortable that especially I was actually able to relax and get some much needed rest. The second time a loved one was hospitalized, and after being in the hospital all day, the wonderful suite awaiting me at the Sheraton was a real blessing to me. Once again I slept great and was able to do what I needed to do on that trip. Plus, the staff were always pleasant and helpful whenever I needed them. Thank you, Sheraton Hotel in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and I could not have asked for anything more. The room was amazing, clean and stocked with info and things to do in the area and what a view! In the city of Cuyahoga Falls right there. The bar was also very good, with a great view. Friendly staff everywhere we went. The pool was very nice, private, no kids. The restaurant was amazing with again a great view with great food! Too good a price for what your getting. Recommended for a romantic evening for two.

AAAA it’s 4:32 am and I can’t sleep. Why? Because the Sheraton is located next to the railroad and at 3:40 Fast Track just woke me up from a dead sleep. It sounded like he was walking right across the room. I finally dived in. Just be dumb. Another train was blown across the room. It was 3:57 am I know. I looked at the clock. I didn’t see this in the amenities list. And again at 4:30 in the morning – (while I’m writing this) – about the man stomp. I’ll be useless today. Hey. And both of us, I might as well mention my disappointment when I realized there was very little valet parking option and you car sits in a dark lot with no protection. I had to park across the street. As for the newlyweds. I thought it was pretty good, but for the money spent. $165 a night you should get a good night’s sleep. I will not stay here again.

Vityaz Bay near the Gamov peninsula in the Khasansky district of the Primorsky Territory

Vityaz Bay (Primorsky Territory, Khasansky district) is one of the largest and most famous bays of the Kitovy Bay. The bay borders the Gamow peninsulas from the west. The entrance to the bay is limited by capes Tarantsev in the north and Schultz in the south, the distance between which is one and a half kilometers. The Vityaz Bay itself has an oblong shape and is elongated from the southwest to the northeast. The distance between Cape Schultz and the “village beach” in the village is about 3.5 km. The shores of the bay are mostly rocky, interspersed with pebble beaches. The sandy coast can be observed in the apex, where the village of Vityaz is located and at the junction with the Gamow Peninsula of the Schultz Peninsula.

The bay is fairly well protected from waves by the entrance capes and Tarantsev Islands.

The photo clearly shows the exit from the Vityaz Bay: on the left you can see part of Cape Schultz, in front of the island and Cape Tarantsev.

Large waves are practically not observed in the apex, and the apex of the bay itself adjoins the isthmus of the Gamow Peninsula.

Vityaz Bay is deep, the maximum depth opposite Cape Tarantsev is 38 meters. In the center of the bay there are Klykov stones – a rock formation that is clearly visible at low tide and delimits the deep northern part of the bay from the shallower southern one. Significant depths along the northern coast remain until the old pier, which is now in a dilapidated state.

Vityaz Bay – a brief history

Primorsky Krai has been a part of Russia for less than 200 years. In historical terms, this is a brief moment. But during this “moment” Vityaz Bay managed to visit both the private property of the Yankovskiys and Shevelevs, and the submarine base and scientific outpost of the USSR in the Far East, and now it is simply a place of rest, par excellence in summer. The history of the Vityaz Bay in detail.

Vityaz Bay as a place of rest

Of course, getting to Vityaz takes another half an hour along the bumpy road from the village of Andreevka. The road, once simply terrible, and now, thanks to the efforts of the Vityazeans, has become suitable even for “puzoterki”. And this road is worth it.

The highlight of Vityaz is the unique Gamow Peninsula with its amazing natural landscapes, cozy and beautiful bays, trails and paths along the surrounding hills, from where amazing views of the sea distance open up. Perhaps, the second such place in the southern Primorye cannot be found.

Amazing groves of dense-flowered pine on the rocks of white granite – a visiting card of the Vityaz Bay and all of Gamow. And let’s turn the “business card” over, and here it is – the lush flowering of Schlippenbach and Pointed rhododendrons in the month of May.

And there is also the white-sandy Astafiev Bay, the majestic Telyakovskogo Bay, the Gamow cape and lighthouse, and a host of other attractions.

Here you can swim until October, walk in the surrounding hills with excursions, photo tours, recreational walks with or without sticks, visit the lost worlds of small hidden coves by kayak, raft or boat. And finally, fishing! Go diving!

And the Vityaz bay itself is beautiful both in winter and in summer. Two main peaks of the surrounding landscape – the Misty and Serpentine mountains – give it a special flavor. They are good both in winter and summer. In winter, when the snow covers the slopes with its white blanket, Tumannaya from the opposite shore of the bay looks like a majestic prehistoric pyramid.

Serpentine is not inferior to her, as if descended from Japanese landscape engravings.

And then spring comes, followed by summer. And now the young greenery of the surrounding hills competes in brightness with the blue sea waters.

And then the high season comes and the village beach of Vityaz resounds with the cries of children and adults who have not lost the ability to enjoy life. The hot days of summer holidays by the sea give way to evening gatherings over barbecue and enjoying summer sunsets.

Sunsets on Vityaz are distinguished by variety and mood.

But September is coming… Children should be sent to school, and the number of vacationers in Vityaz Bay is sharply decreasing. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing more to do here. On the contrary, September on Vityaz is an ideal time for a full sea holiday. It’s not so hot anymore, you sleep better, and the water is still warm. The air at this time of the year is transparent, and the most distant objects of the surrounding landscape are clearly visible from the Gamov hills. This is the perfect time for photo tours and photo tours.

The deserted beaches at this time are especially good. Pebble…

    Sandy…

Then October enters the scene. There are years when the first decade of October allows you to take water baths in the still warm summer water. Golden autumn on Vityaz usually comes noticeably later than in the continental part of Primorye – from about October 10th. The forest first turns yellow and red, then becomes uniformly red – after the leaves fall, only one local broad-leaved species (Mongolian oak) retains it, and until the buds awaken next spring.

In winter, when snow falls, this red color does not look like a sad autumn at all, but, on the contrary, perky and joyful.

And then spring comes to Vityaz again, and everything starts again …

In general, Vityaz is, first of all, a place for outdoor activities all year round, and only then – for seal-like felting on the sand for two months a year.

Those who have heard or read about this place, but have never been here, may be interested in the tourist infrastructure of Vityaz – recreation centers, houses. All this is here in abundance.

Development of a ship degaussing system in the bay. History of Holland Bay in Sevastopol

Development of a ship degaussing system in bay

On the very first night of the Great Patriotic War, enemy planes appeared in the Sevastopol sky. Unknown objects separated from them, which descended on parachutes and exploded when they fell to the ground, several of these objects fell into the sea. Military experts have suggested that the enemy is dropping conventional anchor mines. On the evening of June 22, as a result of an underwater explosion, the SP-12 tug was lost, two days later, a 25-ton floating crane, then the destroyer Bystry. It turned out that the German troops used a new type of weapon – non-contact bottom magnetic mines, which exploded under the influence of the mass of ships passing over them. By placing electromagnetic mines in the fairways, the German command hoped to clog the main base of the Black Sea Fleet, and then destroy the ships with bomber strikes.

Means of combating non-contact mines were found by boatmen of the Division of protection of the water area. At high speed, the boats passed over the places where the fall of mines was noted, and dropped depth charges, from the explosion of which the mines detonated and exploded. But this method was not absolutely reliable and fraught with huge risks.

In order to quickly solve a complex problem, the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet created a group of military engineers in early July. They were greatly assisted by the scientists of the Leningrad Institute of Physics and Technology E.E. Lysenko, Yu.S. Lazurkin, A.R. Regel, P.G. Stepanov and laboratory assistant K.K. Shcherbo. Soon the first electromagnetic trawl was created.

On August 9, 1941, physicists, later academicians, A.P. Aleksandrov and I.V. Kurchatov arrived in Sevastopol. The days of intense work came (after the departure of A.P. Aleksandrov, the leadership was carried out by Igor Vasilyevich Kurchatov). In a small house on the shore of Holland Bay, I.V. Kurchatov and his group managed to develop a demagnetization system in a uniquely short time. Scientists, together with specialists from the Black Sea Fleet, having carefully and comprehensively studied the fundamental foundations of the new weapon, theoretically substantiated the method of mine protection of ships by demagnetizing them. Based on their research, the special anti-mine treatment of warships before they go to sea gave positive results. Surface and submarine ships of the fleet processed in this way were not afraid of enemy magnetic mines.

The problem of mine protection of ships was considered by the Soviet government as a task of strategic importance.

People’s Commissar of the Navy, Admiral N.G. Kuznetsov, systematically informed the Headquarters about the progress of large-scale work. If necessary, he directly turned to I.V. Stalin. Thus, for example, an order for the manufacture of 350 km of cable at the Moskabel plant and for the purchase of 300 km of cable abroad was “pierced”. The problem of magnetic mines was brilliantly solved by Kurchatov and his group. After the introduction of the demagnetization method in the Black Sea, and then in other fleets, not a single Soviet ship was lost. In addition to this main task, a group of specialists led by I.V. Kurchatova solved many more equally important tasks: she created a trawl that exploded magnetic mines, developed a submarine protection system without installing permanent windings on them, and developed ways to control the magnetic field of the ship. During November-December 19For 41 years, Kurchatov visited various ports of the Crimea and the Caucasus, where he checked the progress of work to protect ships, and provided the necessary assistance. At the end of December, he carried out the same work in Baku.

By the Decree of the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR of April 10, 1942, A.P. Aleksandrov, I.V. Kurchatov and six other participants in the work were awarded the Stalin Prize of the first degree for the creation of effective methods for degaussing ships and their practical implementation. On October 4, 1944, I.V. Kurchatov was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for solving the same problem. The command of the Black Sea Fleet presented Kurchatov for the medal “For the Defense of Sevastopol”.

In 1976, in honor of the feat of scientists and military engineers, a monument was erected in Holland Bay in Sevastopol, which is a granite stele, on the front side of which there is a silhouette of a ship between the poles of a magnet. There is an inscription on the stele: “Here in 1941 in the fighting Sevastopol, a group of scientists led by A.P. Alexandrova and I.V. Kurchatov, the first successful experiments in the country on degaussing ships of the Black Sea Fleet were carried out.

Vyborgsky Zuckerhut. Few people know about the unusual boulder

Vyborg is connected with granite by history itself. Not surprisingly, several particularly noteworthy boulders located near it have received their own names. In “Mon Repos” – “Falling Stone”, on the northern exit from the city – “Cossack-stone”: according to legend, during the siege of 1710, Peter I climbed on it, and the Don Cossack shielded the king from the Swedish bullet . .. But there is one “nominal stone”, which, perhaps, not all residents of Vyborg know about, there is no need to talk about tourists.

Zuckerhut on a lithograph by Albert Sprengel, mid-19th century./Reproduction. PHOTO by author

To the northeast of the Vyborg railway station there is a historical district called Papula. It rarely attracts attention, although there are interesting architectural and historical monuments. Behind it, on the opposite bank of the Raduga Bay, a rock mass rises, from the name of which, according to one version, the area got its name. Papule is translated from Latin as “bulge, elevation” .

Razor from the Berezina. The most mysterious rarity from the collection of Ivan Kolodeev

At the foot of this massif, next to the modern Television Street, there is a huge piece of rock, about which the story will go. Its shape is so characteristic that the stone was nicknamed Zuckerhut among the inhabitants of Vyborg, that is, translated from German – “Sugar Loaf”.

It is possible that this rock owes its German name to the students and teachers of the nearby Bem school. It was founded in 1853 by Carl Gottlieb Behm, a candidate of theology, a graduate of Dorpat University, and was considered one of the best in the Vyborg province. Teaching was conducted in German.

It was one of the teachers of the Bem school, art teacher Albert Sprengel, who lithographed, among other views of Vyborg, the Zuckerhut rock. This drawing was probably made shortly after the opening of the school’s own building, built in 1856. Thus, the signature made by the author is the earliest mention of the name of the stone.

One of the high school students carved the name of Molly, the daughter of the school doctor Holtzius, on the rock. This episode was recalled by the famous Russian collector and educator Pyotr Ivanovich Shchukin, who studied at the Bem school in the 1860s and described it in detail in his memoirs.

In subsequent years, Shchukin visited Vyborg twice more and each time visited Zuckerhut. In his memoirs, another curious detail is given, indicating how uninhabited the Vyborg outskirts were back in the middle of the 19th century. Here, at the very stone, the hunters dug a dugout, from where they shot wolves in winter, which they lured, scattering bones and carrion around.

The Vyborg granite massifs have been studied by many geologists and geophysicists. First of all, they were interested in the famous rocks of the Mon Repos park, but Zuckerhut is also mentioned in scientific publications of the 19th century. So, in 1859In 1999, the stone was examined and sketched by the director of the Mining Institute, academician Grigory Gelmersen, the founder of the Russian school of geological cartography.

12 years later, “Sugar Loaf” was examined by another outstanding geomorphologist, better known, however, as a revolutionary and public figure. It’s about Pyotr Kropotkin. In 1871 he made a great scientific trip to Finland and Sweden. By the example of the Vyborg granites, Kropotkin, by the way, argued with Gelmersen, developing the glacial theory of the formation of boulders.

Since the 1860s, the Papula rock massif has become one of the favorite vacation spots for the residents of Vyborg. In 1886, according to the project of the Stockholm architect Wilhelm Rydberg, a park was laid out here, one of the attractions of which was the Sugar Loaf. Over the years, an observation tower was built in the park, from where a magnificent panorama of Vyborg opened, a restaurant, a stadium, ski jumps and a bobsleigh track.

Now only the romantic ruins of the water tower remind of its former splendor. Zuckerhut in his place. True, the stone is partially covered with nondescript growth, so it is better to inspect it in autumn or spring, when the foliage does not interfere with the view, and the rocks are not hidden by snow.

What I like about the employer

A job that definitely improves your knowledge and skills. As they say, in consulting, 1 year is 3 years.
A supportive corporate culture, colleagues and managers are always ready to help you here, and in general, everyone is quite open and friendly.
There are a lot of bonuses for employees from a cool VHI package to paying for psychologists, lawyers, good affiliate programs, and so on.

    What could be improved

Career growth in business is very fast, steep and transparent, but for the back office everything is much more difficult, unfortunately.

Top 30 Most Valuable CEOs of Ukrainian Companies

Today launches its first annual project Top 30 Highest Paid CEOs of Ukrainian Private Companies. In it, we will talk about the level of income of top managers of firms that are among the 300 largest in the country in terms of turnover.

As you know, a top manager’s salary consists of base salary and remuneration. For example, the net rate of the winner of our rating of the head of DTEK Maxim Timchenko is $60 thousand per month, but the full package of bonuses, payments and compensation paid to him can be much more.

The same picture for other top managers. But for our rankings, we decided to limit ourselves to net salaries, which we determined, perhaps approximately, but very close to the truth, thanks to information received from the five largest HR agencies in the country. Their names are widely known, but we, for obvious reasons, do not give them.

    Join us on social networks!

So, in addition to the already mentioned winner of the rating, the top three included the head of another Rinat Akhmetov’s company, Metinvest, Yuri Ryzhenkov, with a net salary of $55,000 per month. Paramjit Kalon from ArclelorMittal Krivoy Rog closes it – his monthly check is $50,000. 25 thousand

    Follow us on Google News!

It should be noted that not all top managers of the country were included in the rating. Behind the scenes there are many corporations that have no turnover. For example, we did not include Oleg Popov from SCM, Yulia Chebotareva from East One, or Aleksey Pertin from Smart-Holding, because their companies are purely management companies and do not generate cash flow as such. We also did not include Irina Kozlova from PepsiCo Ukraine or Kamran Iskenderov from Coca-Cola Ukraine in the rating, because their companies are not in the top 300 largest in terms of turnover.

There is one more feature of our rating – we took only those top managers who are not the owners and founders of large corporations. Such as, for example, Vladimir Kostelman (Fozzy Group), Alexander and Galina Geregi (Epicenter), Vitaly Antonov (Galnaftogaz), Yuri Kosyuk (MHP). We did not include them in the ranking, as they cannot be considered classic hired top managers. The rating also did not include companies where the position of CEO is vacant.

    What the study showed

The information collected by the editors could not fit in one table. Moreover, we have a lot more highly paid managers and large companies. Therefore, we decided to share with you some interesting observations.

According to the BoydenGlobal Executive Search, which it conducted among 173 companies, the average salary level for the position of president of a large company in Ukraine is $6.81 thousand. But the gap between the highest and the lowest is huge – $57.65 and $4.06. CEOs receive less – from $4.48 to $20 thousand per month (with an average of $8.44 thousand).

According to Aleksey Dolgikh, Managing Partner of BoydenGlobal Executive Search, the level of salaries is higher in large companies with a turnover of over $200 million. At the same time, the highest level of salaries, according to him, is in such industries as telecommunications, banks, agribusiness and manufacturing.

However, if the majority receives $15-20 thousand per month, this does not mean that there is no certain category of managers who would be paid more.

It is noteworthy that there is gender equality among top managers in Ukraine. But the differences on the basis of nationality are significant – Ukrainian specialists, on average, receive half as much as expats.

How top managers become in Ukraine

Viktor Povnytsia, president of the ECO Market supermarket chain, started from the very bottom – as a salesperson in a wholesale store of the DC chain (now Watsons). They paid him about $100 a month. Then, step by step, he went from a purchasing manager to a commercial director. Then he moved to ECO Market as a commercial director, and now he has become the president of this network. His current total income is $7,000-10,000.

Povnitsa is one of those self-made top managers who have grown to the top. But most of the tops (especially large companies) still came to the real business from consulting. McKinsey & Company, PWC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG are the main platforms from where you can make a dizzying career and become a top manager of the largest corporations. This is exactly what happened in the case of Rinat Akhmetov’s businesses. First, he hired consultants who prepared a strategy for the development of his business, and then hired them to implement it.

Oleksiy Yurchenko, CEO of Hudson HR-company in Ukraine, notes that according to statistics, half of the CEOs come from the companies themselves, and the other half from outside.

In Ukraine, according to Yurchenko, companies change managers to suit their tasks. For example, a large rotation took place in 2008-2009, when crisis managers were needed. But already in 2011-2012. they were replaced by those who can provide rapid growth.

“In the end, the choice of CEO depends on what the company needs at the moment. If it is in the stage of dynamic aggressive growth, then they want to see a merchant as CEO. If you need to reduce costs, optimize, structure, consolidate – a financier, ”says the head of Hudson in Ukraine.

So, for example, they acted in the Kyivstar company. In 2014, the operator developed very dynamically, and therefore invited Peter Chernyshov, a top manager from the Carlsberg brewing company, to the position of president. And he was able to achieve excellent results. And then, when the stage of rapid growth passed, Alexander Komarov was put in his place, which is cheaper for the operator.

What do oligarchs think about their top managers? Here’s what they said.

The head of TAS Sergey Tigipko first of all expects net profit from top managers. “Practically all company executives are our partners, depending on the final result. This earnings depends on the final figures that the company receives. If the company is in net profit, then the amount of bonuses is maximum,” he explains. Ultimately, according to Tigipko, the effectiveness of a CEO is measured by how much money he brings to the business owner.

The main shareholder of MHP Yuri Kosyuk expects from his top managers, first of all, the ability to inspire the team and manage people. “It is very important that a top manager loves and respects the people with whom he works. So that he can inspire and teach them,” Kosyuk is sure.

The founder of the agricultural holding Ukrlandfarming Oleg Bakhmatyuk says that experience is a key factor for him. “We mainly hire people from the company itself for leadership positions. They have an understanding, a vision of the system in which we operate, and a knowledge of the context. Those are key factors,” he says.

Head of Ferrexpo Konstantin Zhevago is primarily looking for people who clearly know how to solve the company’s problems. The key selection criterion is whether the person being hired is able to find a way out of the situation and make the necessary decisions on his own.

Top 5 skills that will help you become the head of a large company

To complete the picture, I interviewed those who manage large businesses in our country. To find out what helped them reach the top.

Proactivity. Head of business Visa in Central Asia, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe Vera Platonova believes that the most difficult thing for a top manager is to cultivate the ability to make decisions and take responsibility. Business owners are well aware of which employees are willing to take risks. And as a rule, they love those who take risks and win. This is the key quality that helps to become an SEO.

Leadership. A CEO needs the ability to ignite the team, make them believe in the success of the entire enterprise, notes Yulia Badritdinova, CEO of McDonalds Ukraine. As trite as it sounds, leadership is a key skill for tops. And without the trust of the team, it is basically impossible to achieve success here.

Ability to work. Viktor Povnitsa from ECO-Market believes that the main thing that allows a CEO to succeed is hard work. For the heads of companies operating in Ukraine, 84 hours of working time per week is a normal schedule, work on weekends and after hours is also the norm. In principle, the life of most CEOs today revolves around work.

Reliability. One of the key properties that an employer respects (even if he himself is lax) is the ability to do work clearly on time. “Achieving all the deadlines that the manager has set for you, and the correct presentation of your achievements, as well as the desire to receive new projects. The shareholder or management at the top must understand that you can be relied upon. Otherwise, you can’t make a career, ”says Vera Platonova.

Open to new ideas. Finally, another important factor (according to Badritdinova) is the desire and desire to learn new things. “The world is now changing every day, and business is following it. And without a desire to learn, you will fall out of the process pretty quickly,” she notes.

The next release is scheduled for June 2, 2020.

Kids Quest at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa

    General FAQs

What activities do you offer at Kids Quest?

There are a variety of exciting activities at Kids Quest from physical challenges to video games, tablet play, and crafts. Please visit the amenities page on this website for full details on all of the great things children can experience in our care. The fun varies slightly from center to center, so please visit specific location pages for a list of play events.

What ages does Kids Quest care for?

Kids Quest hourly child care is available for children from 6 weeks through 12 years of age*. Our Tiny Tots room is specifically designed for our smallest guests, ages 6 weeks to 30 months. The main play floor is designed for children from 30 months to 12 years of age. All interest areas and kids’ activities are designed to be age-appropriate.

*Green Valley Ranch provides care to children 2.5 years through 12 years of age only.

Can I stay and play with my kids?

Kids Quest is an hourly child care and entertainment center created so that adults may explore amenities located at our host properties independent of their children. In fact, our mission is to provide “Play time for kids and free time for you!”

Do I need to bring anything for my child?

Kids Quest is a shoe-free environment that requires children to wear socks throughout their stay. Comfortable clothing is recommended, and if you forget socks they are always available for purchase. Other than that, our little guests just need their imaginations and the desire to have a fantastic time.

I have an infant, what do I need to bring to the center?

Parents are asked to provide diapers, formula, a bottle and/or sippy cup, food for infants, a change of clothes, baby wipes, and a pacifier (all if applicable). Diapers are available for purchase at a nominal fee, as well as infant and toddler-friendly snack options.

What if my child has a food allergy?

Please notify our team members upon check-in if your child has an allergy. We offer a variety of food options, but we cannot assure you there will be items to fit your child’s dietary needs.

Does Kids Quest have a behavioral policy?

Maintaining a safe and healthy atmosphere is critical to our mission. We do not discipline children in our care; however, it is appropriate to redirect unwanted behaviors. Ideally, we would like to work with families to prevent these behaviors from occurring. When necessary for the safety of all children in our care, we may need to look at dismissing a child that engages in inappropriate behavior. For further questions please speak with a manager on duty when visiting Kids Quest or call ahead of your visit for further clarification.

What are the qualifications of your employees?

Kids Quest teammates are trained and certified in CPR and first aid, as well as in all forms of play-based activities to engage your child. There are also mandatory ongoing trainings for teammates throughout their employment to supplement and refresh skills or to update credentials.

How do I check the balance on a Kids Quest gift card?

First, ensure that your card is the “new” version. New cards have “Gift Card” in the bottom left corner. If you have the new version, click here and type in the card number and pin. For more information on Kids Quest gift cards, visit our Gift Cards page.

    Pricing FAQs

What is included in the hourly price?

All of the games and kids’ activity areas in the center are included in the hourly child care fee including karaoke, large playing structure, dramatic play, video games, and more! Monthly themes and activities are also included in the hourly rate unless otherwise stated in the event details. Snacks, refreshments, and meals are available at our Quest Café for an additional charge.

Is there a time limit on how long my child can stay?

Kids Quest is located throughout the country and complies with all local and state regulations. Please call the center directly before your visit for more information.

    Do I need a reservation?

We are currently only taking reservations for Tiny Tots, children 6 weeks through 30 months of age. Tiny Tots are not currently available at all of our centers so please check your location page or call the center for the latest information. Otherwise, we operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. Centers do get busy, so pre-registration is offered and suggested to speed up the check-in process. At this time, reservations are required for children’s birthday parties at Kids Quest. Please see the “Parties” tab for more information on birthday parties.

    Loyalty Rewards FAQs

Do you have a Rewards program?

Yes, every guest can participate in the Loyalty Rewards program. To enroll, simply provide a valid email and gaming card number for our files at check-in. Once you enroll you can begin accruing hours. For every 15 hours, a FREE hour of time is earned at Kids Quest.

Does it cost anything to join the Loyalty Rewards program?

No, our program is absolutely free to join. You simply need a valid email address and gaming card on file. Every hour your child spends at Kids Quest is counted towards your FREE hour.

Are there any other benefits to the Loyalty Rewards program?

Besides earning a FREE hour of play after you accumulate 15 hours of paid play, you will be eligible for deals and offers through the program. As well as, be the first to know about exclusive center and community events.

Is there a discount for multiple kids?

Currently, we offer the Loyalty Rewards program as a great way to accumulate free time at Kids Quest. Hours are accrued for all children checked into Kids Quest on the same record. Example: Adult caregiver checks in three (3) children for four (4) hours at Kids Quest, for a total of 12 hours accrued. After that visit, there are only (3) three hours to go for one FREE hour of care.

Through our Loyalty Rewards program, we do also offer various discounts each month.

    Registration FAQs

What do I need to bring for registration?

You will need a form of photo identification to check your child in and out of our facility. If it is your first visit, you can pre-register on the location page to streamline the process.

What is the check-in/check-out process at Kids Quest?

On your first visit, you will be asked for essential information regarding pertinent health and allergies**, personal photo identification, email address, gaming card information, emergency contact(s), and a café spending allowance. You will also be asked to review and sign a daily authorization form that explains Kids Quest policies and procedures. Once your child is in our system, two bar-coded labels will be issued, one for you and one for your child. These stickers must be matched and verified with a photo ID at check-out. Upon completion of check-in, a Kids Quest team member will escort your child through the safety gates to the play floor so the adventure can begin!

**Kids Quest is a state-licensed facility that abides by the State of Nevada’s child care licensing regulations. Per state regulations, if you reside within Clark County Nevada, you must provide proper immunization documentation prior to your first visit. Accepted immunization documentation includes; records from a public or private school, records from a local health office or a letter signed by a licensed physician, or records from WebIZ.

If you reside outside of Clark County Nevada and are visiting the property for 15 consecutive days or less, your child(ren) will be conditionally admitted to the center by signing our daily authorization and providing us with documentation of proof of out-of-county residency (i. e. Drivers License, State Issued ID) upon check-in. For more information, contact the center directly.

If you’re wondering where to stay in Vegas with kids, I’ve got some great suggestions for you!

Even though many people think of this city as a place purely for adults, there are actually quite a few family hotels in Las Vegas that your kids will love.

Places where kids are as welcome as grown-ups – there are even many Vegas hotels with a kids club that will keep children thoroughly entertained throughout their stay.

Here are 15 of the best Vegas hotels for kids that you can consider, both on and off the main strip, when it’s time to plan your next getaway – and what each of them has to offer.

The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino

The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is
located right on the famous Las Vegas, NV strip – and it’s not as busy or as
crowded as you would expect to find, especially during quieter months of the
year when it’s not technically “tourist season.”

Instead of just a pool, they offer a water park – complete with sand to complete the look and feel of the real beach – and right at the same resort you can find an aquarium that totals just over 1.5 million gallons.

It’s huge, it’s impressive, and it’s sure to wow the kids.

Amenities like free wi-fi and room service are available, and the restaurants around the resort have great menu options catering to kids (even fussier ones!).

Dissolution of a marriage concluded in Las Vegas on the territory of Russia

We can collect maximum child support
    More

Many couples want to make a wedding celebration especially unusual, bright and memorable, in Russia this is not always possible, exit registration of marriages is currently allowed in rare cases, a bill on this topic is under discussion. There are many more opportunities abroad.

So in Las Vegas, to get married, you don’t have to wait a month, by applying to the city court with a passport on any day of the year from 08:00 to 00:00, you can immediately become a married person. The ceremony can be held in a chapel, in a gazebo, in a car tunnel, without getting out of the car, in any hotel in Las Vegas or just in a beautiful place, at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, by helicopter and even in a hot air balloon.

Did you think it only happens in the movies, and everything that was in Vegas will remain in Vegas? But no, during registration they issue an official marriage certificate, which, if there is an apostille, is recognized by other states.

So our trustee, Mrs. G., went with her boyfriend to travel to America, and got married at Special Memory Wedding Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. As in a Hollywood movie, the wedding celebration took place, and the newlyweds returned to Russia. Some time later, the couple had a child.

Later, the husband left the family, and Mrs. G. turned to us for advice on the following issues:

    • Can this marriage be considered official?
    • What are the characteristics of such a marriage?
    • Is it possible to get a divorce in Russia?

Can a marriage contracted in another country be considered official?

Almost any marriage, even concluded in Africa in the company of aborigines, if desired, can be legalized in Russia. To do this, it is necessary to put an apostille on a foreign marriage document if the marriage was concluded in a country participating in the Hague Convention, or in all other cases, apply for legalization to a foreign consulate in the territory of the Russian Federation of the country where the marriage certificate was originally received.

However, if a violation of the norms of the Family Code of the Russian Federation is found, namely: one of the spouses is already in a registered marriage, the persons are close relatives in a straight line (parents and children, brothers and sisters, etc. ) or adoptive parents and adopted children, one of the spouses is recognized by the court as incompetent due to a mental disorder, the marriage cannot be legalized.

So, Mrs. G., immediately after the wedding, having put an apostille on a bright certificate from America, actually legalized this marriage on the territory of Russia. The husband mistakenly believed that he was an unmarried person.

Marriage certificate in Las Vegas (USA) with an apostille

What are the characteristics of a marriage in Las Vegas, USA?

From a legal point of view, except as a form of evidence, such a marriage is no different from that concluded in the Russian registry office. When legalizing a marriage, the same stamp is put in the passport. Property acquired during the marriage is considered jointly acquired, and the consent of the spouse is required when selling it. If a change of surname is recorded in a foreign certificate, it must be done.

The peculiarities include the fact that if both the husband and wife do not want to legalize marriage in Russia, then they will not be considered married.

Is it possible to get a divorce in Russia if the marriage was concluded in the USA?

If both spouses are citizens of the Russian Federation, the dissolution of the marriage takes place according to the general rules, without any particularities. The nuance lies only in the obligatory presence of a notarized translation into Russian and an apostille or a document on the legalization of a marriage certificate. This also applies to foreign birth certificates of children.

Collection of alimony can be carried out in any way, voluntarily or judicially. In this case, the spouses almost immediately after the birth of the child, even before the decision to disperse, signed an agreement with a notary on the payment of alimony, believing that their interpersonal conflicts should not affect the interests of the child.

For the dissolution of a marriage concluded in Las Vegas, our specialists:

Firstly, they determined which justice of the peace had jurisdiction over this civil case, since the child was registered with the mother, the right to choose a court arose, at the place of registration of Mrs. G. or at the place of registration of her spouse.

Secondly, we prepared a statement of claim with the following documents attached:

    • original marriage certificate with notarized translation and apostille;
    • a copy of the marriage certificate with a notarized translation and an apostille for the defendant;
    • a copy of the statement of claim for the defendant;
    • receipt of payment of state duty;
    • 2 copies of the child’s birth certificate;
    • 2 copies of the certificate of registration of the child;
    • a copy of Mrs. G.’s passport for the court and 2 copies of the power of attorney for our lawyers to represent her interests in court.

The first court session on the issue of divorce was scheduled a month after filing a lawsuit in court.

At this time, work also began with the bailiffs – executors on the issue of initiating enforcement proceedings for the collection of alimony payments by force, on the basis of an agreement on the payment of alimony, which in its force is equated to a writ of execution. If alimony payments stop or the spouse begins to evade them, the notarial agreement should be sent to the bailiffs for execution, which we did. Having prepared an application to the inter-district department of bailiffs with copies of the child’s birth certificate, passport and bank details of Mrs. G., a power of attorney for our specialists and the original notarial agreement, enforcement proceedings were started.

Agreement on the payment of alimony and a statement to the bailiffs for the recovery of alimony.

But literally two weeks later, having received a court summons, it would seem that already a former spouse, he began to make active attempts at reconciliation, initially surprised that this marriage could generally be considered legal in Russia. G. herself expressed her desire to resume marital relations. But the application to the court has already been filed, what should be done in such a situation?

The Code of Civil Procedure provides for the right of the plaintiff to withdraw the claim at any stage of the proceedings until the decision is made. At the first court session, our lawyer Akimova A.N. filed a motion to waive the claims in connection with the reconciliation of the parties. The magistrate issued a ruling to terminate the proceedings, which entered into force 15 days later and was received by our lawyers as confirmation of the preservation of the marriage. Vivid evidence of Las Vegas returned to G.

    See also:
How we helped a citizen of the Russian Federation to carry out a “divorce with a Turk”.

Our trustee also decided to terminate the enforcement proceedings for the recovery of alimony. Having sent a corresponding application to the bailiff, the agreement on the payment of alimony was returned to the hands of G. , and the collection of alimony through the bailiff service was terminated.

Court ruling to terminate judicial proceedings in a divorce case and a decision to terminate enforcement proceedings.

A story with a happy ending, the family survived and even strengthened after the incident. We do not know whether the magical power of Las Vegas affected the spouses or not. But the lawyers of the ICPS “Planet of the Law” are always ready to come to your aid and terminate any marriage, no matter where in the world it was concluded.

Las Vegas with kids – Janette’s Cafe – LiveJournal

Las Vegas is the capital of lights, entertainment and sin. And also the capital of excitement, because there are more than 100 casinos there! How to plan a trip to Vegas? When is the best time to go? What is there to see? Food, entertainment, helpful tips, and Vegas with the kids. Come visit and I will tell and show everything. ..

    Overview, The Strip

Las Vegas is a city in the western United States, in the state of Nevada. It is located on the territory of a rocky desert, which causes a hot climate. The coldest month is December. The most favorable months for travel are from January to May. In summer, the air temperature rises to 40+ degrees, and it is very hard to bear. April is the most favorable month for travel with comfortable temperatures ranging from 20 to 27 degrees.
The flight from Toronto to Las Vegas takes only 4.5 hours, but the time difference between the cities is 3 hours. Toronto is ahead.
Flights to Las Vegas should be taken in a package, along with a hotel. The final price depends on the level and location of the hotel. The entertainment zone of Vegas is located along the main street – the strip. It is on the strip that the main hotels are located. And visiting hotels is an integral part of a vacation in Vegas. You can walk around any hotel, regardless of where you stay. This is what an approximate strip map looks like –

    Hotels

On the map, all hotels are located next to each other, and Google says that the strip is only 7km long. In fact, these are all huge distances !!! Walking only along the strip, with calls to hotels, we walked more than 20,000 steps every day! Hence tip #1 – take very comfortable shoes with you, in which you can walk for hours –

The fact is that each hotel is a huge complex, where you can walk endlessly. The invariable attributes of each of the hotels are, of course, casinos, shopping centers, cafes and restaurants. But the hotels differ from each other with their unique styles, architectural designs and entertainment programs.

Well, let’s start our journey from our hotel – The LINQ . By the way, I can safely recommend it. Location – couldn’t be better. Right in the center of the strip. The hotel is small, relatively cheap, modern, with big rooms and the highest Ferris wheel in the world!

Outside the hotel – a walking area with cafes, restaurants, and shops –

This is how beautiful the strip looks from above, from the Ferris wheel –

You can see the pools below. I would not advise you to count on the fact that you can relax in the pools. They are quite noisy, with a huge number of people. Our hotel had a pool for adults, but we could use the pool for children in a neighboring hotel – Flamingo. But there were so many plans that somehow there was no time left for the pools –

Yes, we stayed in Vegas for 4 nights. I think this is the best way to see the city, as well as visit the Grand Canyon (I’ll talk about it later).

Nearby hotel – Flamingo . One of the oldest hotels on the strip. Of course, it has already been restored many times, and it looks pretty decent –

Next I will write which hotels did not look very decent))). The hotel is notable for its small oasis, where flamingos walk, of course. We didn’t shoot live flamingos –

The neighboring hotel on the other side – Venetian . One of the most beautiful hotels on the strip. Judge for yourself –

    Beautiful scenery inside –

And by the way, despite the blue sky, this is the view inside the hotel.
You can ride a gondola to the songs of a gondolier from $30+ per person –

We leave the Venetian and continue to go north. Here is our favorite hotel – Wynn

Most of the decorations are made from natural flowers –

Later, this is where we will see the most unusual, fabulous and beautiful show that we have ever seen …

We cross the road and find ourselves near the hotel Mirage . We didn’t go to all the hotels. It is simply unrealistic to overpower physically in a few days. We looked at the Mirage from the outside –

And the hotel is significant in that the stones periodically “erupt” a volcano –

Of course, it is clear that this is not a volcano, but like all the scenery of Vegas, it is part of the entertainment program. There are many such free viewing facilities in Vegas. City of entertainment after all …

    Near Mirage, hotel Treasure Island

And this is a huge hotel complex – Caesar Palace . Hotel in the style of Ancient Rome –

Inside is a huge amphitheater, which was built specifically for the Celine Dion show. Now Elton John also performs in this theater.
We looked at the interactive show – Atlantis –

Next hotel – Bellagio . Famous for its singing fountains, made famous in the movie “Ocean’s Eleven”. Yes, all sorts of movies were shot in Vegas…

In the evenings, the fountains “dance” to different music every 15 minutes –

The hotel is also famous for its ceiling, which is decorated with beautiful glass flowers. There are over 2000 of them! –

We also saw a beautiful pavilion with seasonal floral decorations –

And the foyer is so beautifully decorated –

Bellagio also has a cafe with the largest chocolate fountain in the world! Well, with delicious pancakes and cakes)) –

And now let’s move to the very north of the strip to understand that it is completely optional to go there)))

In the north there is a circus hotel – Circus Circus . It seduces people with the fact that it is supposedly intended for families with children –

In fact, there are many children’s slot machines in the hotel, good circus performances are constantly held –

Huge attraction complex right inside –

The rest of the hotel is quite old and sucks, with the smell of cigarettes ingrained in the old carpets. By the way, smoking is not prohibited in all casinos, so there is always a smell of smoke there …

And one more hotel from the category “you can not visit” – Stratosphere

The northernmost hotel, on the outskirts of the strip. Like the hotel, the Circus is located in an uncomfortable area, more like an industrial / poor area than an entertainment center. It is famous for its tower, as well as extreme rides. One of these attractions is a portable carousel that circles people around the tower, high in the air.
Why do people choose such hotels? I think because of the cheap price. But being so far from the center, you still have to spend quite a lot of money on transport. Hence tip #2 . Take a hotel in the middle of the strip. This will save you money.

And now let’s go in the opposite direction, towards the south.
We look into the hotel Planet Hollywood . There are no special attractions in it, except for inexpensive restaurants and a good shopping center – Miracle Shops –

And this is the hotel Paris . Of course with the Eiffel Tower –

Romantic atmosphere of the good old Paris –

We move along the strip towards the south. Hotel Cosmopolitan . Known for a huge chandelier with hanging pink lenses –

We go to the next hotel and look at art galleries on the way –

Opposite hotel MGM . Once upon a time, several tigers lived in it, but now they are no longer there, and nothing of note remains in the hotel. Although, as it turned out, this is the largest hotel in Vegas in the number of rooms –

And this is the hotel Excalibur

And this Egyptian pyramid is the hotel Luxor

and here we are already in the southernmost hotel of the strip, we sat down to rest at – Mandalay Bay

    Casino

It would be wrong not to show the main attributes of Las Vegas – the casino. There are casinos at every turn, starting from the airport. Yes, our trip was dedicated to the anniversary of my husband, and was a complete surprise for him. Here is our cheerful company departing from Tortno to Las Vegas –

And here are a couple of pictures of the casino –

We spent very little time in the casino, in the evenings, when the children were already asleep, and purely for decency)) to say that we practically did not lose anything)).
By the way, any hotel has several entrances. Naturally, through the main entrance most often you get directly to the casino, and after passing through the casino, you can already get to other parts of the hotels. Tip #3 – Look for entrance not through the casino. Well, why go through a smoky room once again, if you can immediately get into a beautiful / interesting part of the hotel.

The largest casino in the Venetian Hotel.

    Shopping

Las Vegas has many shopping opportunities. There are shops in every hotel – from souvenir shops to super brand shops –

There are two outlets not far from Vegas that are said to have quite good prices. We didn’t plan to shop, so we didn’t buy anything but souvenirs.

    Transportation

The easiest way to get to Las Vegas from the airport is by taxi or Uber. Being on the strip, it makes no sense to rent a car. There will simply be nowhere to park it…
It is most convenient to just walk along the strip itself, but as I wrote earlier, you will have to walk sooo much –

You can get a bus pass, but it’s not cheap. You can also buy a train pass – Monorail . We took advantage of this option one of the days. The pass cost $11 per person per day. The train flies over the strip, but does not always stop close to the hotels, and still you have to walk a lot. It is useful when you want to move from one end of the strip to the other. We have used Uber several times. And already when we went on a trip to the Grand Canyon, we rented a car.

    Food

Eating out in Vegas is expensive. A small bottle of water on the strip costs $4-5. Of course, there are many restaurants, but it is quite difficult to find inexpensive options. Of course, it all depends on personal preference. We did not plan to go to fancy restaurants and spend a lot of money on food. For breakfast, we found a budget option for a restaurant. I can safely recommend this place – Ocean One Bar and Grille . The restaurant is located in the Planet Hollywood Hotel, in the heart of the strip.
One day we also had dinner at this restaurant. It was very tasty –

The most popular breakfast in Vegas is the so-called American breakfast – eggs, potatoes, bacon, toast, pancakes, pancakes or waffles. Here is one of the restaurants of the popular chain Denny’s and a typical American breakfast –

Each of the hotels has many restaurants and buffets. Friends went to the buffet at the Wynn Hotel, for brunch, and said that it was unusually varied, beautiful and tasty. You can also find restaurants of famous chefs, such as Gordon Ramsay –

And this is also one of the popular places – a cocktail bar. There are many such bars in Vegas –

At the Caesar Palace Hotel we dined at the Planet Hollywood restaurant

appeared on the threshold of restaurants –

Now, as I understand it, all these stars have long since retired from business, and restaurants are far from being in a profitable position. But it was still interesting for us to look there –

And this beauty, so similar to various sweets, is actually made of soap. In Vegas, we met many such deliciously smelling soap shops –

Well, just for the beauty of a little ice cream)) –

On entertainment in Vegas can be written endlessly. There are many of them and for every taste. Concerts of Hollywood stars, shows of the famous Du Solele Circus, musicals, famous fights, dance shows, shows for adults, magicians and hypnotists. As well as various museums and unique exhibitions. Above, I have already described which shows you can watch for free just by going to different hotels. But we also wanted to go for something special. We faced a difficult choice. Of course I wanted to see everything at once, but, unfortunately, financially it is difficult to pull. The choice fell on two of the most famous shows in Vegas. After much discussion, the choice was divided. One couple chose the famous Cirque du Solele “O” show, and the other two (including us) chose the equally famous “Le Reve” show. The fact is that both of these shows are water shows and, due to the most complex scenery, are not traveling shows. They can only be seen in Las Vegas. So show Le Reve (Wynn Hotel) –

Looking ahead, none of us have seen anything more beautiful and impressive than this show.
Place of action – round aquatic theater. It’s not huge and almost all the places are good. The first 5 rows are a bit cheaper as sitting there can get you a little wet from the spray. In the center of the aquatic theater there is a swimming pool, which changes and takes on various forms during the show. It is difficult to describe what he saw, but the show is based on a love story, with the most difficult acrobatic stunts, elements of dance, synchronized swimming, humor, with unusually beautiful scenery and costumes –

The kids went to see another show that we didn’t plan, but by the end of the holiday we decided to give them a little more fun. Blue Man Group (at the Luxor Hotel). This is a touring show. It can also be seen in other cities. As I understand it, this is a modern show in the style of “Mask Show”. The main three participants are in blue masks. The combination of music, rhythm, colors, humor and special effects. The children were absolutely delighted! They said it was the best thing they saw in Vegas))) –

We also took the kids to the 4D Cinema at the Excalibur Hotel –

We also planned to go to some adult show in the evening (there are a lot of them in Vegas), but somehow we didn’t get to it.

And one of the evenings we went to downtown, on the street Fremont . The street is known for its light show, which is projected on a huge screen, right in the sky above the street –

Around – loud music, casinos, shops, restaurants, fun. And the later it got, the more “adult” the fun became. Therefore, with the children, we did not spend much time there –

As you know, in Las Vegas you can arrange the fastest and most budget wedding. Here is one of those places where you can get married in a quick way –

And one more day we went to the Grand Canyon. It is a national park and one of the most beautiful natural parks in North America. But the story about this unique place deserves a separate post. I’ll tell you about this another time…

And finally, I’ll show you some pop))) But, as we say, What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas = Everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas –

Where can I leave my kids at the Las Vegas Casino?

Where can I leave my children at the Las Vegas casino?

Traveling to Las Vegas with my two kids (1.5 and 5) in September. Can we see people roaming the roads of Vegas at night with their kids? In almost all the photos and videos, I saw only adults wandering around with booze and laughter. All adult activities. I really want to show my wife the casino in Vegas before returning to my country.

Much of Las Vegas is very family friendly, so you shouldn’t have a problem taking the whole family just about everywhere. You can visit all major hotels and attractions with children.

However, although they are allowed in hotels, children are technically not allowed in play areas, so if you don’t want to gamble, you don’t have to leave your kids anywhere.

However, you can still watch the many gaming tables passing through the casino. They are usually noticeable due to different carpet or other borders. As long as the kids stay in line, you’re fine.

There are plenty of activities for families with small children like yours and plenty of free ones like the Circus Circus or the Children’s Park and Playground at Town Square Mall. You also want to visit the casino with your wife, and that means childcare, which can be done in most hotels. Those who do not offer in-home childcare can arrange for you to have an independent licensed nanny come to your hotel. Before you arrive, try browsing the Las Vegas Kids website, which is filled with information and ideas.

(Really, a comment on Johns-305’s post, but it doesn’t fit. ) I have to disagree with Johns-305. Although there was a period when Las Vegas tried to position itself as a family destination, it was a failure and they returned to the adult playground model.

The main problem is that there are very few for children. Gambling is age-restricted and the gambling commission makes them very strict about it while children are allowed to go through because the location of the casinos generally makes it impossible not to go through the gaming areas and get what is from them waiting on the go, don’t stop and look.

There are a few shows that would be interesting for children, but most of them are not, nudity is common and also some rather crude humor. Also, shows that don’t fall into any of these categories often contain a lot of content aimed at those who are middle-aged or older – too many links that will fly past the younger crowd, leaving them puzzled.

There are a few things, such as magical acts, that don’t fall into any of these traps, but that doesn’t mean much to children. There are a few activities for kids, but again, they are limited.

Showing your family in Las Vegas won’t be a problem. Just expect to shell out a decent amount for child care if you plan to stay for a very long time.

Based on our personal experience, which I have recorded in the following blog posts, Las Vegas has a lot of fun things to do for kids. If you are going to be there in the summer, you should choose a family-friendly hotel with a beautiful pool, such as Mirage, MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. Many of the resorts along the strip also have kid-friendly Vegas shows, like Terry Fator in the Mirage, Blue Man Group in Luxor and Tournament of Kings in Excalibur. There are even a few places to grab a bite to eat and listen to live music with kids like House of Blues in Mandalay or Nine Fine Irishmen in New York (kids allowed from 9until 11 p.
