Alana is a graduate of Minnesota State University–Mankato in Elementary Education. She joined the Y in 2003, most recently as the Family Engagement Program Director at the Eagan Y.
Alana’s favorite thing about Lakeville ECLC is seeing happy faces coming through the front door every morning. She loves hearing the daily stories being shared between family members.

If you love your Early Childhood Learning experience, spread the word and get rewarded!
It’s easy to make a referral. Pass on the referred parent’s name, along with some basic information about the family to your program director.
Complete the parent referral form and give it to your program director.
After the new family has enrolled at any of our Early Childhood Learning Center locations and stayed for at least four weeks, you’ll receive a week’s free tuition for your oldest child.
You can refer as many families as you’d like to earn more. Every time a child is enrolled as a result of your recommendation, you’ll get a week’s free tuition.

Why do we do early development?
Children’s club Gulliver is not only an early development center where children simply learn to read and count, where they take classes in chess and acting, where they study foreign languages and other developmental activities. All this, of course, is true. In our children’s center, your child will undoubtedly receive valuable skills and abilities. But among other things, our children’s club is a place where a social circle is formed for your child. Being close to beautiful, confident, purposeful, attentive, highly cultured and benevolent adults, children involuntarily learn the same. These are the teachers in our early development centers, other behavior is not acceptable for us.

We use play forms🧩, attractive aids and visual material in our early development classes. This contributes to the formation of interest in learning and obtaining new knowledge👨🎓. We apply modern methods, an integrated approach, use TRIZ technologies, which helps to systematize knowledge, summarize the experience gained and independently find answers to many questions , as well as workbooks and textbooks📚, where knowledge and skills are strung together according to the thematic plan, common for all clubs and programs. We give out all methodological materials monthly completely free of charge👍.

This is such a fun LOW PREP free seasons printables to help kids understand the four seasons and months of the year.
First have student color the pictures and letters on their seasons worksheet preschool project. Instead of having pages that turn, this is a spin project which will delight and engage young learners.

You can either teach them the four seasons alone
Or you can teach them about the 4 seasons showing the months. I feel like adding the months allows kids to better grasp when the months /seasons occur. PLUS I think it is cool for kids to see all the months in a circle that they go around and around over and over. Each season has a section to color in representing the season. Then you stick the two sections together with a brad and you have a fun season spin. We are keeping ours with our Calendar so that as the months or seasons change they can see the change happen as part of a whole. We made this four seasons tree craft showing the same tree in the four different seasons. We traced Minnie’s hand to make the tree trunk. Then we labeled our four season trees. As Goofy had just finished studying famous artist Seurat we decided to use his Pointillism style to make our trees.

Preschoolers love celebrating holidays, don’t they? It might be because holidays bring different activities to the classroom, along with some special celebrations. Or it might be because the kids are responding to the adults around them getting into the seasonal and holiday spirit. Either way, I find children are very engaged around the holidays.
Below you’ll find a variety of holiday and seasonal activities for preschoolers. Many of them are things I’ve done in the classroom or at home. But some are ideas I’ve found elsewhere and just had to share with you. I’ve tried to include a variety of holidays, and I plan to add more when I can.
Please keep in mind that some might not suit your classroom, depending on where you teach. I suggest you take the ideas that work for you and your students and discard the rest. And feel free to leave me a comment if you have additional ideas and activities to share!

Seasonal Activities for Preschoolers
Now that we’ve touched on holiday activities for preschoolers, I wanted to make sure you have some seasonal ideas too. Not all children celebrate all holidays. And I know that some of you might be constrained by school rules when it comes to holiday activities in the classroom.
Plus, it’s always fun to explore seasonally-themed activities with the children. Depending on where you live, they might be observing changes in the weather and the environment. Or they know seasons are changing because the adults in their lives are commenting on it.
Seasonal activities can help guide your students as they learn and explore the world around them. And it’s another chance to show the kids that seasons are different all over the world. The weather is very different in January when you compare the Northeastern United States and Australia, for example.

How to Incorporate Holiday Activities into Your Preschool Plans
Now, let’s chat a bit about how to use these seasonal and holiday ideas when planning. First, map out the general overview for the whole year. Pencil in the dates you’d like to incorporate the holiday activities and move on to planning out your preschool themes and projects.
Once you have the year generally mapped out, come back here and pick a few of your favorite seasonal and holiday activities for preschoolers. That’s right, I said “a few”. You don’t need to try and incorporate every single one of these ideas into just one year!
What I share here on Fun-A-Day are activities I’ve done with multiple classes of children, mostly with preschoolers and kindergartners. I definitely didn’t do every activity during just one school year.
Some classes will be more interested in different activities than others, and that’s okay. So leave a little wiggle room in your plans so you can adjust as you need to. For example, one year I had a class that was crazy about all things art. Another year, the children were much more interested in exploring engineering and building. So I change things up depending on the interests and personalities of each class. Honestly, that’s more fun for me too! What about you?
I also highly suggest integrating diverse holiday ideas when you can. This will give the children a view into other cultures and locations. It’s always interesting to see what holiday experiences children in different part of the world have.
Oh, and don’t feel like every single activity you do needs to be holiday or seasonally themed. It’s more than okay to incorporate some holiday/seasonal ideas into your preschool day, with the rest of the day focused elsewhere.

Four Seasons of a Tree Preschool Art Activity –

Everyone has their favorite season (Summer, anyone?!) However, there is pleasure, joy and love to be found in every season. This four seasons preschool art activity is perfect for teaching the changes in seasons. It is literally crammed with sensory learning for young kiddos. In one project your child will draw, dip, dab, clench, cut, glue and get creative!
Four seasons of a tree preschool art activity offers a variety of sensory experiences for young learners. It’s also an engaging way to delve into the science of trees. Get out your craft supplies, roll up your sleeves, and have some fun with four seasons arts and crafts for preschool. You won’t be sorry you added this to your lesson plans.

Benefits of Art Integration in the Curriculum
Teaching the four seasons to preschoolers MUST go beyond conversations and picture books. Art projects can really bring concepts to life while providing important sensory and fine motor experiences for preschoolers.
Benefits of integrating art into a four seasons preschool theme include:
Fine motor exercise (grasping, brushing, dipping, cutting)
Use the marker to draw the trunks only of four trees. Space them evenly on your cardboard/paper.
Using scissors, cut the toilet paper roll in half. Press it flat to create a marquise shape. Add brown and green paint to the paper plate. Dip one end of the roll into the brown paint and press multiple shapes onto the first trunk and above it to create a bare Winter tree. You can also add green/brown leaves at the bottom of the trunk.
Create a Spring tree on the next trunk. Add more color to the plate with pink, purple, orange, etc. Use a cotton swab to dip into the various colors and dab onto the tree to create a tree laden with blossoms and covered with green buds.
The third tree represents green buds and a full bloom in Summer. It should be ripe and drooping with colors of your choice. Pinch a cotton ball with the clothespin and dip into various paint colors to create a beautiful, full Summer tree.
Finally, the fourth tree represents Fall. Use the glue stick and tissue paper squares to show vibrant leaves drifting to the ground while leaving some of them on the branches.

Plus, there are many different ways to delve into a four season preschool theme. Along with four seasons preschool crafts, you can include picture books (both fiction and non-fiction), songs and poems, math activities, nature walks and science experiments.
You could even complete this project one season at a time, beginning with Fall and putting it all together at the end of the school year. That lends itself to talking about and experiencing each season as it is occurring. Use one piece of construction paper for each season, then attach the squares when all four seasons are complete.

Summer is an amazing time of the year when children can walk, run and jump to their heart’s content. It is during this period that children spend a lot of time outdoors.
All work during the summer period is built in accordance with the approved plan and schedule of work, which includes a set of recreational activities and procedures: hardening with air and sun, extensive washing, walking barefoot after sleep, increasing the time spent by children in the air, physiotherapy and massage. Our pupils spend the whole period of wakefulness in the fresh air, the time for walking in the summer has increased.
Excursions to the garden are organized with children, where children see how vegetables grow, learn how to care for them, games with sand and water, entertainment, outdoor games, exercise games in the sports area, theatrical games, drawing on asphalt, walking along the “Path of Health” and many other interesting events.

Deto gives us a lot of joy, bright colors and flowers!
Our pupils really liked the game entertainment “Carnival of Flowers”. The event took place on a playground decorated with colorful balloons. The guest of the holiday was a toy bunny. At the holiday, the guys danced for the bunny, danced with flowers, collected flowers in a basket, guessed the name of summer flowers from the pictures, and at the end of the holiday they played a fun game.

Today is graduation day.
And we are proud of our garden,
After all, it is very dear to us!
May is traditionally graduation time. Graduation ball in kindergarten is the most touching, most unforgettable of all holidays. The word “prom” for everyone, without exception, evokes certain associations. This is parting, sadness, good parting words. Graduation ball is a symbol of the end of a beautiful kindergarten time. And this holiday should remain in the memory of graduates forever.
So in our kindergarten in the last week of May, pupils of four groups said goodbye to the kindergarten.
Once again, graduation in our kindergarten was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The children sang songs, danced, searched for their first diplomas with the fairy-tale detective, and the children showed the fairy-tale heroes Ivanushka and Baba Yaga how they prepared for school. Graduates coped with all the tasks, because they did not go to kindergarten in vain and are ready to go to school.
Graduation party has become bright and memorable for children. At the end of the holiday, the children made wishes, and in order for them to come true, they released white balloons into the sky with the same snow-white doves. The holiday ended with the presentation of gifts to graduates and a delicious tea party.

Goodbye to the winter!
Cheerful farewell to winter, which was illuminated by the joyful expectation of the approaching warmth, the spring renewal of nature, took place on March 5 in our kindergarten. At the holiday, the educators amused the children with various games, fun, contests. Children played outdoor games “Crossing”, “Pull the Rope”, competed in dexterity bypassing obstacles.
Together with the adults, the children danced “Vesnyanka”, sang funny songs, played the musical game “Repeat the Movement” and, of course, danced.
After seeing off Winter, Spring came to visit the children and treated everyone to delicious ruddy pancakes.
The holiday brought both adults and children a cheerful spring mood.

September 25 in the kindergarten celebrated the Day of the Preschool Worker!
It became the first open event of the preschool educational institution in the new academic year. Everyone was preparing for it: children, parents, teachers … The kindergarten lit up with a rich palette of colors: an exhibition of children’s drawings and crafts with parents in the autumn style, creative competitions for creating compositions from leaves, cones in paintings and decorating hats from flowers, improvised and natural material, master classes from teachers and … a children’s musical ensemble of our guys. And, of course, at the end of the holiday – a hospitable table with pies and tea. In a warm, homely atmosphere, the rallying of parents and employees of the preschool educational institution took place to create a successful joint work on the way to a common goal for all in raising our kids.

A district workshop on preparation for the summer recreational season “Organization of a developing environment for summer recreational work in preschool” was held in the kindergarten.
A pre-school institution of the Kuznetsk region presented its project for the improvement of playgrounds. A variety of topics were presented: “Smeshariki”, “In the country of Multipult”, “Green Planet” and others.
The head of the education department of the Kuznetsk district, Vladimir Nikolaevich Reznichenko, and the leading specialist in preschool education, Natalya V. Oytseva, who were present at the event, expressed confidence that in the course of implementing joint projects with parents, the territory of each preschool institution will turn into a fairy-tale land of childhood this summer. And they added: “We are collecting the summer bit by bit, we can’t miss it!”.

On the eve of International Women’s Day, a solemn meeting of the teaching staff with the mothers of pupils was held in the kindergarten.
Congratulations on the holiday, sincere songs and heartfelt words sounded in a warm homely atmosphere. Video congratulations from the pupils moved our mothers to tears. Every woman on this day had the opportunity to demonstrate their talents. The vocal group of parents prepared a musical gift, and culinary masterpieces in the form of gingerbread houses and cakes attracted the eye. The music hall was decorated with creative works of parents and teachers. Here and beadwork, and knitting, and embroidery, and decoupage, and much more.
Conducted by Svetlana Igorevna, mother of Diana Vydrich, a master class on making tulips from corrugated paper gave every woman a piece of spring, love and happiness.
I would like to say special thanks to Tatyana Doronchenko for the preparation and organization of the holiday. Her activity, seething energy and endless enthusiasm rallied her parents around a common cause.

Athlete’s Day is celebrated annually on the second Saturday of August and in 2019 fell on August 10.
Athlete’s Day is a holiday celebrated in our country since 1939, considered by millions of our fellow citizens. This is a holiday for everyone who loves sports, regardless of profession and age. The holiday “Athlete’s Day” has a rather long history. By tradition, the date of the celebration is rolling.
On January 27, 2019, our city celebrates the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade!

After analyzing more than two thousand vacancies on the Headhunter, Superjob and Jobs in Russia websites, we found out who is hired as a boss and what salary is offered.

2% of all vacancies we found are so-called nominee directors. They are looking for a person to whom one-day firms will be registered. Experience and education are not important. Only Russian citizenship and no criminal record are required. The task is to go to the tax office, banks and a notary and put a signature where they show. They pay from 20,000 R.
They are not shy about vacancies, they write like this: nominee director. Another such position may be called an interim director. We did a detailed analysis of what such work is fraught with. In short, they can be imprisoned.
What kind of job
Most employers require that a director candidate already have managerial experience—usually one to three years. 1. Brief history of the school: date of foundation – 1904. Zaisang of Taltakhinsky aimag S. L. Taltaev – a descendant of the Hero of the Patriotic War of 1812. Manki Taltaeva donated a two-story wooden mansion to an elementary school. This is one of the oldest schools in Kalmykia. School development stages: I. 1904 – 1920 The opening of the school on the donation of zaisang Sanji Taltaev. II. 1920 – 1935 Creation of a school campus. Opening of the 5th grade. 1933. – Tsagan-Nur exemplary elementary school III. 1935 – 1943 7th grade opening. The first release of the 10th grade in 1942. IV. 1943-1956 In connection with the liquidation of the KASSR in 1943, the Tsagan-Nur secondary school was again transformed into a seven-year school. The first post-war graduation of the 10th grade in 1955. V.1957-1982 “Star years” of the Tsagan-Nur school under the guidance of E. Z. Sandzhiev. – Honorary director of the Tsagan-Nur secondary school, Honored teacher of the KASSR and the RSFSR, holder of the Order of Lenin and World War I degree, medal “For Courage”, Honorary Citizen of Kalmykia, author of the song “Tsagan-Nuurin Schools”. On July 31, 1963, by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 937, the Tsagan-Nur secondary school was named after the Hero of the Soviet Union N.M. Sanjirov. 11/06/1967 the opening of the monument to N.M.Sandzhirov took place. The author of the bust was the well-known sculptor of Kalmykia Sandzhiev N.A. In 1966 the school created the “Room of Military Glory”. 02.12.1982 was awarded certificate No. 4422 on conferring the status of “School Museum of Military Glory”. In 1987 a building was built for the school museum. In 1978 A shooting range was built by students and teachers. 02.11.1977 The school was listed in the Republican Book of Honor. VI.1982-1992 Stage of democratic transformations. Implementation of new methods and technologies in teaching. VII.1993-2004 Opening of the first national classes. Obtaining the status of “National school of the 1st stage. Introduction to profile education. VIII.2005-2010 Updating the content of education. Implementation of ICT. Application of innovative technologies. IX. 2011-2015 – Introduction of the Federal State Educational Standard of the second generation. The 110th anniversary of the school. Our school has produced 13 medalists (2 gold and 11 silver). Outstanding alumni. Bukhaeva V.Ts., the first medalist, graduated from school in 1958 with a silver medal. After graduating from the Rostov graduate school in 1970. together with her husband, she leaves for Iraq, works as a teacher at the University of Baghdad, is engaged in scientific activities, in the 90s she becomes one of the country’s leading chemists, has a number of patents for scientific discoveries. Borlikov G.M. – President of KSU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, at 1962 graduated from school with a gold medal; Kalyaev A.L. – Doctor of Philology; Erdniev B.P. – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences; Mantsaev N.G. – Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences; Badmaev V.N. – Doctor of Philosophy, graduated from school with a silver medal in 1987, Okonov M.M. – Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Zulaev M.S. – Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Shoshunkaev K.L. – Cavalier of the Order of the Badge of Honor. Tsagan-Nur secondary school pays special attention to the effectiveness and quality of education, raising children in the best national traditions. The school successfully operates the Museum of Military Glory named after M. Sandzhieva E.Z. ”, various circles, sports sections work. Students invariably win prizes in all-Russian, republican and regional subject Olympiads, in creative competitions, and sports competitions. 2. Year of construction of the building – 1965, design capacity – 320 seats. Premises: a canteen for 60 people, a medical office, assembly and sports halls, a library, an informatics office. Horace Walpole , 4th Earl of Orford – English writer, founder of the genre of horror and mystery novels, the so-called “Gothic novel”. Son of prominent minister Robert Walpole. He was educated at Eton and King’s College, Cambridge University. In 1741 he was elected to parliament, but did not take an active part in political life. In 1748 Walpole purchased the estate of Strawberry Hill, and in 1757 set up a printing press there. At 1791 year was elevated to the rank of Earl of Oxford.
He began his literary career in 1758 with the publication of A Catalog of the Royal and Noble Authors of England, 2 vls. This was followed by “Anecdotes from the history of painting in England” (Anecdotes of Painting in England, 4 vls, 1762-1771) and, finally, in 1764 The Castle of Otranto, the first “Gothic” novel, was published anonymously. , which takes place during the era of the first crusade. Immersed in the details of gloomy and mysterious descriptions, the author carries out in this work the idea of a fatal retribution falling on descendants for the sins and crimes of their ancestors. Walpole’s next work, The Mysterious Mother (1768), tried to establish the genre of horror and mystery in the drama (the play, however, was not staged). Apart from Historic Doubts on the Life and Reign of King Richard the Third, published in 1768, nothing else was published during Walpole’s lifetime. After his death, his very interesting and historically valuable memoirs (The Last Ten Years of the Reign of George II, 1822; The Reign of King George the Third, 1845) and Letters were published.
Six copies of the Heiroglyphic Tales were printed in 1778 and published in full in 1982. Hieroglyphic Tales is a collection of short surreal parables.
In his main literary works, “The Castle of Otranto” and “The Mysterious Mother”, Walpole appears as one of the forerunners of romanticism, affirming the Middle Ages and mysticism. Walpole throughout his works is an apologist for the nobility, negatively related to the bourgeois reality of his contemporary England. Walpole’s novel of horrors and mysteries found successors in the person of Anna Radcliffe, William Beckford, John Moore, Matthew Gregory Lewis and others.
Walpole died in London on March 2, 1797.

Horace Walpole’s The Castle of Otranto, a novel with mystical components, is worth noting in the first place, in which all sorts of horrors are heaped up: a helmet falls from the sky, killing a prince, a statue of an ancestor of one of the heroes suddenly begins to bleed, he also has a vision of a gigantic hand, etc. And his collection of “Hieroglyphic Tales” (Heiroglyphic Tales) can be called the first surrealist work, far ahead of the era of surrealism in literature.
Horace Walpole is considered the founder of the Gothic novel. An art connoisseur who lived alone in his own castle until old age, he, without realizing it, revolutionized the horror genre and created a new direction in literature. Born September 24, 1717 The future writer grew up in the family of a famous political figure. His father is Robert Walpole, the head of the Whig party in Great Britain (he headed the government longer than anyone else in the country – 21 years). Horace’s father spent his fortune on works of art, in his collection there were paintings by Rubens, Velasquez, Rembrandt. This could not but affect Walpole, and he subsequently became an art historian.
Horace is also known in the UK as the creator of Strawberry Hill. Having once rented this villa, he bought it and remade it, turning it into a beautiful castle. Now Strawberry Hill is an example of the Gothic style in architecture.
Walpole spent his life in politics, but held minor positions, mainly due to the influence of his famous father. Culture was his main passion. He continued his father’s passion and assembled one of the largest and richest art galleries of his time in the UK.
Walpole’s mother dies in 1737. As one of his biographers says: “Love for his mother was the strongest feeling in his life, his whole world changed after her death. ” Walpole never had serious relationships with women, which gave rise to homosexual rumors. Some biographers suspect that Walpole was asexual.
Walpole began writing literature twenty years after his mother’s death, with the Catalog of Crowned and Noble Authors and Anecdotes from the History of Painting in England.
Strawberry Hill is known to have had a manual printing press. But in 1764, Walpole published his most famous novel, The Castle of Otranto, anonymously (without using a personal mini-printing house). It was a kind of hoax: on the cover it was stated that this was a translation of an Italian novel written by the canon of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, Onufrio Muralto. It was pointed out that the novel was published in 1529 in Italy, and the action itself took place even earlier. The translator called himself William Marshall. The second edition was published under Walpole’s name. “The Castle of Otranto” immediately began to be considered a model of the Gothic novel (although Walpole himself called it a short story). The author also emphasized that he wrote “The Castle” in less than two months.
Later, Walter Scott, Poe, Bram Stoker and many others spoke about the influence of this novel on their work. Interestingly, the castle of Otranto itself actually exists in southern Italy. This building has a trapezoidal shape and is surrounded by a moat.
Walpole’s next work, The Mysterious Mother, tried to consolidate the horror genre already in drama (but the play was never staged). Then, he wrote a collection of short stories in the absurd genre, thus predicting surrealism. They were called “Hieroglyphic Tales”.
The writer said: “Those who watch the game from the side often see more in it than its players.” And so it happened. He looked at life from the windows of his castle, inventing new Gothic stories, changing literature, attracting the reader with mysticism and the Middle Ages.
Walpole lived a secluded life on his estate, collecting art, writing and politics.

We create a warm, trusting environment where children feel comfortable to explore the world around them and develop social and emotional skills so they can thrive and grow. Children in our Preschool Special Education programs have varied challenges, including speech impairments, learning disabilities, neurological impairments, developmental disabilities, emotional/behavioral challenges and autism.
Setting and Achieving Goals
No matter what the challenge, we help children progress toward their personal goals, such as learning to make eye contact, controlling aggressive behaviors and communicating through sign language. We meet each child’s specific developmental and learning objectives through play, individual instruction time, and classroom activities. The territory of the present Kaliningrad region several centuries ago was part of the lands of the Teutonic Order. The power of the Order was based on a network of powerful fortresses that controlled territories, trade routes and the actions of the local population. Waldau Castle, founded in the 13th century, is one of the few well-preserved fortifications of the Teutonic Knights.
Through the efforts of enthusiasts, a museum was created in the castle, which operates to this day, in which you can learn a lot of interesting things about the history of the region, the life of the surrounding inhabitants and the crafts of the Baltic region.
History of Waldau Castle
Valdava Castle is located in the village of Nizovye, Kaliningrad Region. Previously, this settlement was also called Waldau. The name comes from the ancient Baltic word “valdati”, meaning “to own”. Thus, the name “Waldau” is translated as “Possession”. The expansion of the Teutonic Order turned out to be tragic for the local Baltic peoples – the Curonians and Prussians, who were practically destroyed by the German knights.
After the capture of Prussia, the Teutonic Order builds castles to control the surrounding lands and trade routes. There is a version that the citadels were built with money received from the Templars, since the Teutonic knights themselves did not have significant cash reserves. For the first time, the fortification of the “Walds” is mentioned in the order chronicles of 1258. A more serious fortress was erected in 1264 to control the road along which order servants, knights and priests constantly moved.
In the middle of the 15th century, a castle was built on the site of the old fortress, meeting all the requirements of the fortification of that time. For a long period, the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order lived in a reliable citadel. In the future, the castle served as one of the outposts of the Prussian kingdom.
The history of the Waldau Castle and Russia first crossed in 1697, when members of the Great Embassy, headed by the young Tsar Peter the Great, lived in the castle buildings for several days. In the 1820s, the Prussian king leased the castle to a wealthy aristocratic family, who completely rebuilt it in accordance with the architectural style of that time. It is this rebuilt castle complex that has survived to our time.
In the middle of the 19th century, the faculties of the agricultural academy were located on the territory of the castle, and in the 70s of the 19th century a teacher’s seminary was based here. In the post-war years, the castle buildings were given over to the needs of an agricultural school, and the outbuildings were used as a hostel for this educational institution. In 2007, the Waldau Castle was given the status of a cultural heritage site. In 2010, the object was transferred to the ownership of the Kaliningrad Diocese.
Modernity of Waldau Castle
The Waldau Castle Museum was organized in 2007 in the right wing of the castle by Andrey Ivanovich Barinov, a well-known local historian, sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
Gradually, the museum team was replenished with new employees – real museum enthusiasts and new expositions telling about the history of the castle and the life of local residents. Today, the museum offers its guests many interesting exhibits that allow them to get to know the daily life of the Teutonic Order, the Kingdom of Prussia, and the German Empire.
Separate thematic exhibitions are devoted to crafts such as weapons, carpentry, pottery and pharmacy.
The interiors of the castle halls have been restored and are furnished with furniture from the 18th-19th centuries and filled with works of art – sculptures, paintings, engravings and photographs. On one of the walls you can see a gallery of portraits of the former owners of the Waldau castle.

The restoration of the left wing of the castle is carried out by the simple Sorokin family, who rented the building for 25 years. With their own efforts and the efforts of caring people, the tenants restored the utility block with a historic courtyard, cleaned and restored the basement of the times of the Teutonic Order, landscaped the area near the castle and planted climbing roses.
A new variety of asparagus was bred on the grounds of the castle, which was subsequently registered under the name “Waldau”. A delicacy vegetable is massively grown and sold in cafes and restaurants. You can get to the asparagus tasting here in May-June. There are plans to hold an asparagus festival.
The Sorokin family regularly holds interactive exhibitions and master classes. Anyone can make a decorative element from plaster – especially for this, molds were made for casting elements of medieval patterns.
Recently, Waldava Castle has become a favorite location for filming popular programs and filming.
