The main figure in preschool education is the teacher
TASS hosted a press conference dedicated to the first All-Russian Forum of Preschool Education Workers “Guidelines for Childhood”. This is the first time such a forum has been held in Russia. The forum was organized by the All-Russian Society “Knowledge”, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education and the Association for the Development of the Quality of Preschool Education.
The invited guests spoke about the idea of holding the forum, its main tasks, as well as how a teacher should change in the modern world: Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, Chairman of the All-Russian Society “Knowledge” Lyubov Dukhanina, President of the Association for the Development of the Quality of Preschool Education (ARKADO) Elfiya Dorofeeva, Rector of the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education (IPADO) Nikolai Veraksa, First Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Development of Education and Science of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Dudova.
Preschool age is a period of personality formation, when a child learns the world with a sincere desire, the teacher does not yet have to think about how to motivate the child, to formulate his learning task. Every thought that arises can become part of the project activity, the study of the child and the adult.
– The emergence of a standard for preschool education meant a change in the type of work of most educators. The upcoming forum is designed to help teachers: to demonstrate their own developments to some, and to get acquainted with the new things in preschool education, – said Lyubov Dukhanina.
She stressed that the level of professional competencies of educators has increased. Only 8% of preschool teachers today admit that their knowledge of raising children is not enough. 29% note that they work with psychologists and doctors when organizing work with children. Almost half of the educators note that the educational work in their kindergartens is organized effectively.
It takes time and effort for new technologies to enter into the practice of our lives. Traditional methods of advanced training are fading into the background, teachers today say that the existing system of advanced training is not enough for them. It is very important to find new tools for such work: master classes, trainings, competitions of professional skills. The forum “Landmarks of Childhood” also belongs to such sites. The Russian society “Knowledge” actively supports such unusual, modern formats and acted as a co-organizer of the event.
The Intensive Forum “Landmarks of Childhood” has the main goal of creating space and opportunities for educators. At the forum, along with scientists, for the first time, representatives of business, the best coaches in personal motivation will speak. Forum guests will be able to get acquainted with the best practices that exist today in preschool education, Ms. Dukhanina summed up.
Nikolai Veraksa sees the upcoming forum as a search for adequate forms of interaction and support for specialists in the field of preschool education.
“A preschool child is our future,” Nikolay Veraksa emphasized. – We should look at the child not as inept, poorly educated and little knowing. We must look at it as the bearer of our future. Its possibilities are endless. And if so, we must communicate with him in a different way, and for this it is necessary to train teachers. It is important to hear the voice of the child, to try to create such an environment for him, to support him in such a way that it would be interesting for him to realize himself in the kindergarten environment. This is not an easy task, it requires a special system of communication. Children, they are from the future, and we adults are rather from the past. This is a startling but true postulate.
One of the directions that we are trying to implement is to create a space for children’s realization in preschool education. A child who understands that he can realize himself, increases social motivation, he begins to move towards self-development, he is capable of fantastic achievements in preschool age.
It is important to improve the quality of preschool education. The state has ensured the availability of preschool education, but this is not enough. In order to improve the quality, to change preschool education to meet the highest standards, the Association for the Development of the Quality of Preschool Education was created. Elfiya Dorofeeva, Chairman of ARKADO, identified three components of the quality of preschool education.
The first is material: buildings, furniture, toys.
The second is the working conditions for teachers: reduction in the number of children in the kindergarten group, minimal administrative pressure, salary and prestige of the profession.
The most important – the third component – is the teacher, his education, competencies, love for children. The teacher must know the psychology of a preschooler, be armed with methods, good educational programs. He had to be a free person, otherwise he would not be able to educate a free citizen.
How can we change the situation in preschool education in terms of professional competencies? The most painful point is the relationship between an adult and a child. It is important for the educator to see the personality in the child. It is necessary to build relationships without orders. Not to teach, but to kindle inner interest. Do not suppress, but help develop, express yourself. The teacher, as L.S. Vygotsky, should work in the child’s zone of proximal development. He must know how the child develops in order to give him tasks according to his abilities, according to his age, but not to make it too easy. All this should be done by a teacher of a new formation. How can he become one?
Elfiya Dorofeeva spoke about the Stars of Preschool Education project. This is an all-Russian movement, which the majority of kindergartens in Russia will join. Its goal is to unite the efforts of teachers, the state and society in order to bring the quality of preschool education to a new level. The project provides for a system of ranking kindergartens with stars, from 1 to 5, for achieving a certain level of education quality. Moving to a new level, the kindergarten will receive a star, a certificate of conformity, gratitude from educational authorities, a number of privileges from commercial companies participating in the project. “Stars of preschool education” will be presented at the forum. And they will become the continuation that motivates teachers for further achievements.
The unique format of the upcoming forum involves three categories of speakers: government officials who will tell what the state is doing to develop preschool education; content speakers will introduce teachers to the latest methods of preschool education. And the third category is motivational speakers, business coaches, who are designed to fill teachers with energy for work, to help develop.
At the forum, considerable attention will be paid to the problems of digitalization of preschool education, said Lyudmila Dudova.
Everything starts from childhood. At the stage of preschool personality development, we receive 78% of knowledge and skills. Further in the course of life we will get only the remaining 22%.
Now there is a growing “thumb generation” – a generation of children who are fascinated with gadgets from birth and treat them better than ordinary toys, she noted. – The whole central nervous system works differently for them than for us. If we grew up listening to the lullabies of grandmothers and mothers, now children grow up listening to music from headphones and gadgets.
The current preschooler will perceive a figure running on the display screen better than a real doll, and a doll is a very important part of childhood, it is difficult to imagine a child without it.
Federal standards are changing. The state has done quite a lot. But the army of educators needs more attention to their problems.

Career Beverly Cleary
After graduating from the University of Washington in 1939, she worked as a children’s librarian in Yakima, Washington and then as a librarian at the US Army Hospital in Oakland, California. In 1942, she began working as a writer for children.

As a children’s librarian, Cleary sympathized with her young patrons who had difficulty finding books with characters they could identify with [and she struggled to find enough books to suggest that they will like them. After several years of referrals and live storytelling as a librarian, Cleary decided to start writing children’s books about characters that young readers would understand.
Cleary said, “I believe in this ‘missionary spirit’ among children’s librarians. Children deserve quality literary books and librarians are very important in encouraging them to read and choosing the right books.”
Cleary’s first book, Henry Huggins (1950), was accepted for immediate publication and was the first in a series of fictional books about Henry, his dog Ribsy, his neighbor friend Beezus, and her younger sister Ramona.
Like many of her later works, Henry Huggins is a novel about people leading ordinary lives and based on Cleary’s own childhood experiences, children in her neighborhood growing up, and children she met while working as a librarian .

Cleary’s first book about the Quimby sisters Beezus and Ramona was published in 1955. A publisher asked her to write a book about a kindergarten student.
Clary resisted because she didn’t go to kindergarten, but later changed her mind after the twins were born. She wrote two memoirs, The Yamhill Girl (1988) and My Own Two Feet (1995). During a 2011 interview with the Los Angeles Times at age 95, Cleary stated, “I’ve had an exceptionally happy career.”
Beverly Cleary Life
She has received several awards and honors for her books. She currently leads a peaceful life at a nursing home in Carmel Valley, California. Her father was a farmer and her mother was a school teacher. She had no brothers and sisters. Clery spent her childhood in the countryside of Yamhill. When she was six years old, she moved to Portland with her family. Her father took a job as a security officer at a bank in Portland.
City life was difficult for young Cleary. This affected her studies. She was placed in a group of difficult students. The school librarian helped her find books suitable for her, and she made significant progress. When she was in the sixth grade, one of her teachers encouraged her to become a children’s story writer. Cleary graduated from Grant High School in Portland.
In 1938, Cleary graduated from the “University of California” with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked as a seamstress and maid to pay for her college education. In 1939, Cleary received a master’s degree in library science from the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Washington.

Foton 6 return capsule on display at the Evergreen Air and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.
Foton (Russian: Fotoн, “Foton”) is the project name for two series of scientific satellite programs capable of returning to Earth, the USSR and then Russia. Despite being unmanned, their design was adapted from the Vostok capsule. The Foton project is primarily focused on materials science research, but some missions have also carried out experiments for other areas of research, especially biology. The original Foton series included 12 launches from the Plesetsk cosmodrome from 1985 to 1999. The second series, Foton-M , includes many improvements over the original Foton and is still in use today. The first launch was in 2002 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, but failed due to a problem with the launcher. The next three are mandatory from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Both the Foton and Foton-M series used Soyuz-U missiles (11A511U and 11A511U2) as launchers. From the Foton-7 mission, the European Space Agency is a partner in the Foton program.

Foton-M
Foton-M is a new generation spacecraft for research conducted in microgravity conditions in near-Earth orbit. The design of the Foton-M is based on that of the Foton, with several improvements including a new telemetry and remote control unit for increased data throughput, increased battery capacity, and an improved thermal management system. Produced at TsSKB-Progress in Samara.
First launch of Foton-M1 failed due to malfunction of its Soyuz-U launcher. However, the second launch, Photon-M2, was a success. Foton-M3 was launched on September 14, 2007 by a Soyuz-U rocket carrying the cockroach Nadezhda, the first terrestrial creature to give birth to offspring conceived in space. It returned to Earth on September 26, 2007 and landed in Kazakhstan at 7:58 GMT.

The Foton capsule has limited motor power. Therefore, its trajectory and reentry orientation cannot be controlled once the capsule is separated from the service module. This means that the capsule must be protected from return heat from all sides, which explains its spherical shape (as opposed to the conical shape of American capsules), which allows maximum volume while minimizing the external surface. However, the lack of lift means that the capsule is subjected to significant re-entry stresses, 8 to 9g.

John A. Day (May 24, 1913, Salina, Kansas – June 21, 2008, McMinnville, Oregon) was an American meteorologist, educator, and skywatching evangelist. He mapped out Pan American Airways’ new air routes in the Asia-Pacific region in an era before meteorological satellites and computer instant data. A natural and atmospheric photographer, he has published many books, articles, atlases and cloud maps that explain the importance of the weather. Widely known as “The Cloud Man” for decades as a college professor and lay advocate for cloud recognition.

Early War
Day was born on May 24, 1913 in Salin, in Salin, in Salin. Kansas, the first child of Lenora (Wilson) and Arthur Cutler Day. He grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Day ended Colorado College in 1936 majoring in physics/mathematics. After learning that the Boeing School of Aeronautics in Oakland, California guaranteed jobs for its graduates in the new field of commercial aviation, he entered Boeing first class in the emerging field of aviation weather forecasting and then went to work for Pan Am World Airways helping to lay new air routes. in the Pacific region for four-engine flying boats “California Clipper”. His assignments took him to Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia and Japan.
In the early days before meteorological satellites, Pan Am had to build its own network of media and communications, using tiny Pacific atolls as bases. Forecasting has often been a risky game of guesswork and daring. Day was responsible for providing accurate advance notices of adverse weather conditions, such as a hurricane/typhoon or South Pacific cyclone, on 2,000-mile overwater routes, ensuring passenger comfort and safety. Even in the best conditions, when there was a lot of weather information along the routes, this was a responsible job.
When war broke out in 1941, the US Navy took over Pan American Airways and Day instantly became Lieutenant j.g. in the USN Transportation Wing. He has been involved in several pioneering projects, including the expansion of flights to Australia. In 1946 Pan Am sent him from Manila to Tokyo to provide forecasting services for the movement of UNRRA (United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration) personnel from the United States to China. The chosen route was a previously unused great circle around the Aleutian Islands to Tokyo through a very weather-active region. Forecasts had to be made from a very sparse network of observing stations in continental Asia and the western Pacific. Today this route is a high-speed highway for flights to the East. [1]
Postwar teaching career
In 1946, Day left Pan Am to pursue an academic career teaching physics at the Oregon State College (OSC). He and fellow professors Fred Dekker, Bill Lowery, and Russ Lincoln founded the new OSC meteorology department.
After receiving his PhD in cloud physics from OSC in 1956, he taught at the University of Redlands in California from 1956 to 1958, then returned to Oregon to teach atmospheric sciences at Linfield College in McMinnville. At 1962-63 years He received a National Science Foundation Faculty of Science Fellowship to study cloud physics at the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, England, where he investigated the relationship of bursting water droplets to the formation of condensation nuclei. In May 1963 at the International Conference on Cloud Physics in Toulouse, France, he contacted Vincent Schaefer, the discoverer of cloud seeding from dry ice, with whom he later collaborated Peterson’s Atmospheric Field Guide , [2] (published in 1981 and awarded the New York Academy of Science Award for Excellence in Science for Young People in 1982. [3] ) Day subsequently published another volume in the series, Peterson’s First Guide to Clouds and weather in 1991 [4] He is the author of eight textbooks on meteorology, climate and the environment, beginning with Water, the Mirror of Science , [5] (1961, with Kenneth Davis) and 2002, Book of Clouds , [6] which presents the best of his photographs and understandable explanations of weather phenomena.
In 1975, Day proposed expanding Linfield College’s educational mission beyond its campus and established the Division of Continuing Education (DCE)/Adult Extension Program. This partnership with the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Portland provided registered nurses with the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). At 1982 Linfield College/Good Samaritan School of Nursing became a division of Linfield College and DCE now teaches almost all of its courses online and welcomes students from all over the world. [7] Although Day officially retired in 1978, he continued to teach freshman meteorology as an honorary adjunct professor until the age of 91. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do preschool teachers make?
A: As of 2021, the average hourly wage for preschool teachers is $12.60. Preschool teachers with higher levels of education typically earn more than the national average. In 2018, top preschool teaching positions paid a median annual income of about $30,000.
Q: How long does it take to become a preschool teacher?
A: The time needed to be eligible for a teaching job at a preschool depends on the educational requirements. An associate degree takes two years and a bachelor’s degree is typically a four-year commitment. But in states that only require early childhood education certification with a high school diploma, preschool teachers may complete the ECE course in as little as six weeks.
Q: Do you need a degree to be a preschool teacher?
A: Some states require a college degree for preschool teaching positions, while others accept a high school diploma and early child education certification. To work for the Head Start program, aspiring teachers must earn at least an associate’s degree, and many positions in the federally funded program require a bachelor’s degree in an education field.

My travels. Cincinnati, Ohio. Part 1. Sightseeing tour: neznakomka_18 — LiveJournal
A few months ago, family circumstances brought us to the state of Ohio, the city of Cincinnati.
Of course, it was impossible to see all the most beautiful and interesting things there in two days, but we managed to get to know this city a little.
Cincinnati is located in the Midwest, on rolling hills along the Ohio River.
But here’s what is curious: if the city itself lies on the territory of the state of Ohio, then Greater Cincinnati, i. e. a city with all suburbs, partly also occupies the territories of the states of Kentucky and Indiana.
Cincinnati was founded in 1788.
Because of its inland location, for a time it was considered a typical American city. was not subjected to such a strong influence of Europeans as the cities on the east coast.
Over time, settlers from the east began to move en masse to Cincinnati, in particular, a large number of immigrants from Germany settled here.
Initially, the city was called Losantiville, which means “the city located opposite the mouth of the river.”
In 1790, the city’s governor changed its name to honor the Cincinnati Society of which he was a member.
Cincinnatus was the name of a Roman patrician of the 5th century. And this organization, founded, by the way, by George Washington, accepted into its membership the most worthy representatives of the American community, in particular, valiant officers who participated in the US War of Independence.
I must say that Cincinnati, like the whole state of Ohio, is considered the birthplace of a large number of descendants of veterans of that war, since these lands were granted to them as a payment for participation in the war.
Today, the largest communities in the city belong to Germans, Irish, British and Italians.
Cincinnati is a very economical city.
It produces jet engines, electronic equipment, cosmetics, clothing, building materials and chemicals.
10 Fortune 500 companies are based in the city.
Cincinnati is a world leader in machine tools, soaps and detergents.
This photo shows two identical buildings on the right – they are occupied by the headquarters of the world famous company Procter & Gamble.
Cincinnati is quite a beautiful city, where many new, modern buildings are being built and at the same time they are careful about their history.
As in any American city, and especially in the American outback, Cincinnati residents are very friendly and tolerant.
The city has many parks, gardens, recreation areas.
Moreover, in each such place it is equally interesting to spend time both for adults and children.
It is clear that, as elsewhere in America, sports are very important here.
The city has two stadiums owned by local major league baseball and football teams.
In general, the city seemed very nice, pleasant, clean and homely. It is a pity that much has remained unseen.
I will dwell on some of its sights in more detail in the following posts.
Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden
The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is a zoo in the US city of Cincinnati, Ohio. It claims to be the second oldest zoo in the US, having opened 14 months after the Philadelphia Zoo.
The zoo covers over 65.4 acres (26.5 ha) and is home to about 2,800 animals. It has over 30 indoor and outdoor rides. The Cincinnati Zoo also breeds rare animals. For example, it was the first zoo to breed the California sea lion and one of the first to breed the American bison in 1878. This is the only place in the Western Hemisphere where one, two and three Sumatran rhinos were born.
History
The Cincinnati Zoo began operations in 1875. It occupied 66 acres and was owned by the richest people in Cincinnati. Currently, the zoo has about 500 species of animals, with a total of about 1900 individuals. The zoo also features over 6,000 plant species. The zoo is home to Indian blue owls that roam freely around the enclosure.
Eco-friendly
In the late 2000s, the Cincinnati Zoo was named America’s Greenest Zoo for his “environmental” practice. Currently, the zoo has ten special garden displays and more than 5,000 species of other plants distributed throughout the zoo. In early 2010, the zoo completed construction of over 6,000 solar canopies in the main parking lot. This is the largest exposition of solar panels in the world. The zoo also exhibits plants in animal exhibits that match the species’ biome. For example, Manatee Springs has many swamp plants and shrubs native to Florida; in the exposition of the red panda – bamboo gardens; in the exposition of the sea lion – shrubs from California.
Outdoors
Canyon Wildlife and Sumatran Rhinos
Since 1989, Wildlife Canyon has been showcasing rare and exotic ungulates that are native to many parts of the world. It currently consists of six different paddocks located along the bottom of a steep canyon that was built in 1942. Visitors can walk among emus, camels, Asian wild horses, Sichuan takins, river pigs and the endangered Sumatran rhinoceros. Every Sumatran rhinoceros living in the US was born at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Eagle’s Nest
Opened in 1970, this attraction features large flight cages that are home to two of the world’s largest flying birds, Andean and California condors, and sea eagles. When visitors enter the two flight cages from the elevated observation deck, there is nothing between them and the birds. Currently, the Cincinnati Zoo is the only facility in North America that breeds the Steller’s sea eagle. Efforts to free these species have repeatedly met with success. Two eagle chicks can be seen nesting in flight.
Monkey Island
This artificial rock island, surrounded by a moat and exotic landscaping, is home to a large troop of snow monkeys or Japanese macaques. It is over 80 years old and was one of the first bare-barred monkey exhibits in North America.

The main enclosure is an approximately 30,000-square-foot forest habitat with many tropical plants, waterfalls, meadows, logs, and vines that can host the zoo’s famous western lowland gorillas. The zoo also holds the record for the most births of gorillas in one year – six in 1996 year. There are also exhibits of colobus monkeys and crowned Huguenots.
Rhino Sanctuary
The entire area is a series of eight enclosures that house a variety of African savanna and Asian forest species. The Rhino Sanctuary was opened in 1997.
Jungle Trails
Jungle Trails takes visitors through a 2.5-acre naturalized rainforest habitat teeming with rare and exotic wildlife and hundreds of plant species from Asia and Africa. Each display area is divided into open and closed habitats, where you can see the zoo’s collection of rare primates such as Bornean orangutans, bonobos, Muller’s and lara’s gibbons, bamboos, lemurs, Angolan colobus monkeys, aye-ayes, Francois’ langurs, lion-tailed macaques, pottos, pygmy slow lorises, and large galagos that climb, crawl, and hop from branch to branch. In addition, Jungle Trails is home to some of the zoo’s birds, reptiles, insects and other rare mammals: adjutant and saddle-billed storks, pelicans, white-nosed crows, yellow-billed horned birds, starlings, herd ducks, hammercops, cloud rats, sugar gliders, large-spotted genets, imperial scorpions and land boas. At 19In 1994, a year after opening, the attraction received the AZA Award for Prestigious Exposure. In the building of Africa, you can see two baby galagos and three baby large-spotted genets.
Arctic animals
The main animals in this area are the zoo’s two polar bears, a male named Malysh and a female Berit. Visitors can watch the bears swim in one large 70,000-gallon pool that sits between two enclosures. There are many viewing platforms for guests, including underwater, through the moat, and even on land, where bears are separated from visitors by 3 inches of glass. Next to the bears is an enclosure in which a bald eagle lives.
Bear Hill
The Bear Hill grottoes were built in 1937 and feature two species of bears from North and South America – the black bear and the Andean bear. The exhibits were built on a hillside to complement their natural mountain habitat and also to keep the sun out of the exhibits.
Lorikeets
Lorikeet Landing, a flying aviary built in 1962 and refurbished in 2006, houses a netted aviary filled with hundreds of birds native to Australia and New Guinea.
Wolves
Guests can walk through the Wolf Forest to see animals native to North America. This area opened in 2005 following the redevelopment of Otter Creek.
Children’s Zoo
The Children’s Zoo, opened in the 1950s and renovated in 1985 and 2008, is an attraction for children and young animals. The zoo nursery houses baby animals that come and go from different zoos. Young animals have the opportunity to leave their exposition and walk around the zoo under the guidance of caretakers. In the play area designed for children, there are small habitats for three types of armadillos (three-striped, six-striped, screaming hairy) and three types of turtles (ground squirrel, red-footed, radiant).
Children can go to the zoo, feed and interact with pygmy goats and doll sheep. Blakely’s Barn, which was added in 1997, has indoor and outdoor pens where you can get a close look at four-horned sheep, cattle, llamas, pygmy goats, miniature cows, miniature donkeys and alpacas. At the entrance to the attraction is the Penguin Walkabout, opened in 1985. Small and black-footed penguins live here.
Gibbon Islands
This attraction features rare and endangered monkeys that can be seen exercising on two large jungle gyms built on two round islands that were built in 1972 year. Guests can walk on a wooden platform on the surface of the lake to get an even closer look at the zoo’s loudest animals, the siamang and brown-cheeked gibbons, as they can be heard from anywhere in the park.
Red panda habitat
Some of the current red pandas were donated to the zoo in 1985 from the Beijing Zoo. They live in two exhibits of the zoo, which abound with natural plants of China. The zoo has raised over 70 red pandas, the last of which appeared in the early 2000s.
Elephant Sanctuary
The Elephant Sanctuary opened in 2008 after the reconstruction of the Vanishing Giants in an area where elephants and other pachyderms have been exhibited since the Zoo opened in 1875. The highlight of the exhibit is the 1.5-acre female habitat, featuring the zoo’s stars Shotzi, Mai-Tai, and Jati. The exhibit includes a 60,000-gallon swimming pool that sits next to one of the many viewing platforms. Sabu, the bull, has its own habitat, which was added in 2006.
Swan Lake
Swan Lake is the zoo’s largest body of water and is home to native Cincinnati waterfowl. Many species, such as mallards, pintails, and swans, are free to inhabit the lake at will while the historic train circles around them. At the end of the lake is Crane Island, home to the Japanese Red-throated Cranes. Wetland Trails is an area that provides a completely natural, naturally enclosed habitat for the sandpiper.

Miradent launches XyliPOP dentifrice lozenges with strawberry flavor
08/06/2018
New from miradent®: tasty and healthy for teeth.
Modern children are lucky: instead of the traditional “don’t eat sweets, they ruin your teeth,” they can hear “hold a lollipop, it will help your teeth stay healthy.” miradent® Strawberry Flavored XyliPOP Lozenges are designed specifically for dental care. They are free of sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors, animal products, GMOs, gluten and lactose, but they do have the beneficial xylitol. Xylitol is a favorite of all dentists, it helps in the prevention of caries. In addition, the composition of lozenges includes calcium lactate, which is responsible for restoring the mineral balance of tooth enamel.
Of course, it is necessary to carefully monitor oral hygiene at any age, but this is especially true for children. Caries literally destroys milk teeth in a very short time. And they are in place of the rudiments of future molars, so it is so important not to bring milk teeth to a critical state.
Almost all children have a sweet tooth. However, everyone knows that teeth deteriorate from sweets. XyliPOP lollipop is a great option for those parents who take care of their little ones’ teeth but don’t want to deprive them of sweets. The remains of sugary food on the teeth are an ideal breeding ground for bacteria that cause cavities. There is no sugar in the composition of the lollipop, only the natural sweetener xylitol, and it just prevents the growth of bacteria and helps in the prevention of caries, at the same time providing remineralization of damaged teeth.
XyliPOP lollipops are loved not only by children, but also by adults who take care of their teeth and figure, but want to treat themselves to something sweet. The novelty from miradent® has already been evaluated at the University of Zurich, having given official approval. So we can say with a clear conscience that XyliPOP lozenges are not only tasty, but also good for your teeth!

Raleigh, USA – travel map
Raleigh (eng. Raleigh; [ˈrɑːli] or [ˈrɔːli]) is the capital of the state of North Carolina (USA). Raleigh is called “Oak City” as it is famous for its oak forests. It is the second largest city in North Carolina, 42nd in the US, and one of the fastest growing cities in the country. The city is named after the English statesman, discoverer and adventurer Walter Raleigh.
History
18th century
In December 1770, Joel Lane successfully petitioned the North Carolina General Assembly for a new county. On January 5, 1771, the bill creating Wake County was passed in the General Assembly, forming the new county from portions of neighboring Cumberland, Orange, and Johnston counties. The county got its name in honor of Margaret Wake Tryon, the wife of Governor William Tryon (as evil tongues gossiped, this was a means to overcome the resistance of the governor, who initially spoke out against the creation of a new county). Bloomsbury became the first county seat.
New Bern, a port city on the Newes River 50 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, was the largest city and capital of North Carolina during the American Revolutionary War. When the British army besieged the city, it became impossible to lead the state from it.
City plan, 1792
Raleigh was chosen as the site for the new capital in 1788, primarily because its location in the center of the state protected the city from sea attack. Officially founded in 1792 as the state and county capital, the city was named after Sir Walter Raleigh, organizer of the mysteriously vanished Roanoke Colony.
The location of the city was chosen, in particular, because 16 kilometers from it was the tavern “Hunter Isaac”, very popular among the deputies of the General Assembly. There is no information about the existence of any settlements on this site before the foundation of Roli. Raleigh is one of the few cities in the United States that was designed and built specifically to serve as a state capital. Its original boundaries were formed by North, East, West and South Streets. It was originally planned that the layout of the city would be rectangular, with four squares in the corners and a fifth in the center.
The North Carolina General Assembly held its first meeting in Raleigh in December 1794, soon approving a city charter that governed the city with a council of seven Assembly-appointed deputies (whose positions became elective in 1803) and a “commissioner of police” (who eventually became mayor). In 1799 N.C. Minerva and Raleigh became the first newspaper published in Raleigh.
19th century
In 1808, Andrew Johnson, the seventeenth President of the United States, was born in Raleigh. The city’s first water supply system was completed in 1818, although constant failures caused the project to be abandoned. In 1819a volunteer fire brigade was formed, and then in 1821 a permanent fire brigade.
In 1831, a fire destroyed the State Capitol. Two years later, granite for the renovation is delivered by the state’s first railroad.
In 1853, the state’s first exhibition was held near Raleigh. The first institution of higher learning in Raleigh, the College of Peace, was founded in 1857. Raleigh Historic Center has many 19th century houses in good condition.
After the outbreak of the civil war, Governor Zebulon Vance ordered the construction of earthen fortifications around the perimeter of the city, to protect against northern troops. During General Sherman’s Carolina campaign, Raleigh was captured by Northern cavalry under General Hugh Kilpatrick on April 13, 1865. As the Confederates retreated west, Union soldiers began a pursuit that eventually led to the Battle of Mauriceville.
Raleigh suffered significant damage during the war, in addition to the economic problems of the post-war period and the occupation. The elimination of slavery actually destroyed the agriculture of the South, which was the basis of its economy. Like many other southern cities, Raleigh fell into stagnation for several decades. Political life, on the contrary, was very turbulent, primarily because of the confrontation between whites and African Americans.
By the end of the 19th century, Raleigh’s economy began to develop again. New buildings are being built in the city, several educational institutions, a hospital, and a conservatory are opening. The political situation calms down, the racial confrontation ends with the victory of the whites, up to 19In the 70s, blacks were practically ousted from political life.
20th century and present
Bloomsberry Amusement Park opened in 1912, offering city dwellers the rapidly popular carousel rides (one of which is still in operation).
Between 1914 and 1917, 288 citizens died during an influenza epidemic.
WLAC became the city’s first radio station in 1922, but only lasted two years. WFBQ, which began broadcasting in 1924 (and renamed WPTF in 1927) is the city’s oldest continuously broadcasting radio station.
On December 12, 1924, the Vatican officially established the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus became the official residence of the bishop.
The city’s first airport, Curtiss-Wright, opened in 1929. That same year, a stock market crash led to the closure of six of the city’s largest banks.
During the difficult years of the Great Depression, the government at all levels tried to create as many jobs as possible. Significant public works were carried out in Raleigh (primarily garbage collection and tree planting). At 19In 39, the State General Assembly decided to build a new large airport near Raleigh. The first flight took place in 1943.
In 1947, the citizens voted for a new system of city government, in which the main powers of the city are exercised by an elected council, which appoints a contract manager to the position of mayor. This system has been in place to this day.
Dorton Arena, a 7,610-seat multi-purpose stadium designed by architect Matthew Nowitzki, opened at 7 p.m.52 year. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
Raleigh suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Hazel in 1954.
In 1956, WRAL-TV became the first local television station.
With the opening of the Research Triangle in 1959, Raleigh began to experience rapid population growth, bringing the city’s total population to 100,000 by the end of 1960 (76.4% white and 23.4% black) .
After the passage of the federal Voting Rights Act, the degree of political activity and participation in the voting of blacks in Raleigh increased dramatically. At 19In 1967, a descendant of slaves, Clarence Lightner, was elected to the city council, and in 1973 became Raleigh’s first black mayor.
In 1976, the Raleigh and Wake County school systems merged to minimize costs, and Wake County’s school system is now the largest in the state and 19th in the nation.
In the 1970s and 1980s, I-440, a bypass around the city, was built to reduce congestion and make it easier for motorists to access the city’s main roads.
In 1988, Raleigh was severely affected by a series of tornadoes, most notably on November 28, when seven tornadoes between 1:00 am and 5:45 am caused more than $77 million in damage and killed 4 people. The tragedy repeated itself in April 2011, with a similar number of deaths, the damage exceeded $115 million.
In the first decade of the 21st century, Raleigh was repeatedly included in the top lines of various ratings for quality of life, career prospects and education (including Forbes and Money magazines).
Geography and climate
Geographic data
Raleigh is located in northeast central North Carolina where the Piedmont Plateau and the Atlantic Low meet. The area is known as the “fall line” because it is known for its many waterfalls in the streams and rivers that flow down from the plateau. As a result, most of Raleigh is located on gentle hills, gradually decreasing to the east, to a flat coastal plain. Raleigh is 233 kilometers south of Richmond, 373 kilometers south of Washington DC and 230 kilometers northeast of Charlotte.

North Carolina is located in the southern United States and belongs to
south atlantic states. North Carolina borders the states
Virginia to the north, Tennessee to the west
Georgia and South Carolina in the south.
North Carolina is located on the territory of two
physical-geographical regions of the USA. Coastal plains and stretching along
coasts of the chain of barrier islands are part of
Atlantic Lowlands USA. To the west, behind the escarpment known as
“line of fall”, the relief rises, passing into the provinces of the mountain system
Appalachians: first into the rolling Piedmont Plateau and then into the mountain ranges
Blue Ridge (“Blue Ridge”), Great Smoky, Black Mountains and others.
Most of North Carolina has a humid subtropical climate, dependent on proximity to the ocean and
relief. The islands and the coast have very mild winters and warm summers; in the Piedmont Plateau region, the seasons are more pronounced,
it is colder here in winter and hotter in summer; in the mountains in the west, the climate is cooler. Most of the precipitation falls
in summer, in winter, snow regularly occurs in mountainous regions and from time to time – in the central and eastern (although once a
blizzards with heavy snowfalls occur here for several years). North Carolina, and especially its coastal regions, often
suffers from hurricanes and tropical storms; tornadoes also occur in spring.
The first European navigator who saw the coast of the state was the Italian Giovanni da Verrazano (Verrazzano),
who sailed from North Carolina to Rhode Island in 1524. During his expedition,
passed in 1539-1540 from Florida to the Mississippi River,
North Carolina was explored by the famous Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto. In 1567 another Spanish detachment under
the leadership of Juan Pardo built the first European settlement on the lands of the state – Fort San Juan (true
lasted only about a year).
In the 1680s, the British attempted to establish their first
American colony, but this attempt was unsuccessful. The settlement was abandoned, the fate of the colonists is certain
unknown, most likely they assimilated with the Indians who lived here. The Roanoke colony entered the history of the United States as
“disappeared” or “lost”.
In the middle of the 17th century, colonists began to move to the territory of modern North Carolina from the north, from
colonies of Virginia; it was then that permanent European settlements appeared here. In 1663
In the year Charles II of England granted rights to the new colony (named “Carolina” after his father, Charles I) to eight
to their favorites, known as the “Lords Proprietors”. Due to geographical features (primarily –
due to the presence of convenient harbors), the southern part of Carolina developed faster; there, in Charleston, housed
provincial government. Less attention was paid to the northern districts (which even led to riots among the colonists) and
gradually began to distinguish, albeit unofficially, North and South Carolina. Since 1712, North Carolina has actually
became an independent colony, and after in 1729year, the British Crown bought from the seven Lords Proprietors their
rights, received the status of a royal colony. In the middle of the XVIII century, North Carolina was the fastest growing among all
English colonies in North America. Disagreements between sections of society and dissatisfaction with government officials
led in 1768 to an uprising known as the Regulators’ War.
In the 1870s in North Carolina, the Sons of Liberty movement was gaining momentum, striving for
independence. In 1775, created on the recommendation of the First Continental Congress “committees of safety”
actually replaced local authorities, and the “Security Council” approved by the Provincial Congress began to carry out
government functions. On April 12, 1776, North Carolina legislators passed the so-called “Halifax Resolutions”
which authorized the delegates going to the Second Continental Congress to vote for the proclamation
independence (this was the first such document in the colonies). During the American Revolutionary War, the population of North
The Carolinas were divided into patriots and loyalists (followers of the crown), which led to numerous clashes. Also
in 1780–1781 several battles took place here between the Continental Army and British forces. November 21
1789years North Carolina ratified the Constitution of the United States of America, becoming the same twelfth
US state.
Now in the largest city in North Carolina, Charlotte, about 900,000 people live. In the state capital, Raleigh,
about 475,000 inhabitants. The largest state metropolis grew around Charlotte, about 2,700,000 people live in it.
Economics of modern Northern Carolina is well developed and very diverse. The state occupies one of the first places in
country in terms of production of tobacco and sweet potatoes (yam), as well as pigs, broilers and turkeys. On farms
also grow soybeans, cotton, Christmas trees and other crops, bred
trout. Traditional industries (textile, tobacco, woodworking) are gradually losing ground to more
modern and high-tech (production of electronics, various equipment, food processing).
The development of industry and the service sector is facilitated by the creation of the so-called “Research Triangle”,
formed around the state’s leading universities.

City of Seattle | USA | Prices | Tours | Flights | Hotels | Climate
Seattle is a port city in the northwestern United States (Washington state), surrounded by dense evergreen forests. In addition to traditional industries (logging, shipbuilding), the 21st century marked a technological boom, which the city owes to Amazon.com, RealNetworks, including medical organizations (HeartStream, Heart Technologies). The cultural life of the metropolis is striking in its diversity: here you can find entertainment for every taste – for example, from classical music performed by the Seattle Symphony Orchestra to alternative grunge and rock music (Sunny Day Real Estate, Fleet Foxes). The mixed ethnic composition is no exception for this city, where, in addition to the European white population, Asians (Chinese, Vietnamese), African Americans (Cambodians, Somalis) and Hispanics live. The percentage of educated population in Seattle is one of the highest in the United States.

Description of the city
General information
Description of the city
The first European settlement on the site of Seattle was founded on November 13, 1851 by Arthur Denny’s group and was called Alki’s New York, which roughly translates from the Chinook dialect as “Future New York”. In 1853, David “Doc” Maynard suggested that the main settlement be renamed Seattle, after the leader of the local Suquamish and Duwamish tribes.
According to the Washington State Department of Finance, the city had an estimated population of 612,000 as of April 1, 2010.
Starting in 1869, the city’s unofficial nickname was “King’s City”, more precisely “Queen’s City”, which came from the “Pacific Queen of Cities”, which was the name of Seattle in one Portland real estate agency, but in 1982 King County officials held an official competition to an unofficial nickname, resulting in the choice of the title “Emerald City”. Other nicknames for Seattle are “Gateway to Alaska”, “Rainy City” and “Jet City” (thanks to Boeing).

The traditional landscape design of Chinese gardens appeared back in 607, when the Chinese themselves began to imitate the imperial gardens. Over time, an unusual vision has spread throughout the world, but only real masters of garden art can create symbolic images from an ordinary small pebble or a small pond. In order to see a real Chinese garden, it is not necessary to go to China. You can visit its small copy in Seattle.

The Space Needle is a famous tower that has become perhaps the main attraction of Seattle, a real symbol of the city. The 184-meter-high monument is a gift to the city from the World’s Fair held in Seattle on 1962 year.
With its outlines, the Space Needle is somewhat reminiscent of a huge tower with a landing pad for a flying saucer. From here, stunning views of the picturesque surroundings of Seattle open – the Cascade Mountains, the Olympic Range, and the Pacific coast are perfectly visible. Here …
features
“Space Needle”
In terms of tourism, Seattle, with its architectural features, is the most attractive city on the north west coast. The city has many attractions. The most famous tourist attraction is the Space Needle, built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Its panoramic observation deck offers a magnificent view of the city and its surroundings. The architecture of the business center of the city is also distinctive, its skyscrapers are not inferior to other American cities in height and, at the same time, are favorably distinguished by the exclusivity of constructive solutions.
Shopping: shops
Pike Market (Pike Place Market)
Historic Pioneer Square and its surrounding neighborhoods are the core of Seattle and are teeming with shops, art galleries and restaurants. The city’s main shopping malls are centered around Westlake-Center, Pioneer Square, Pacific-Palace, and Pike Place Market. One of the most crowded and noisy places in the city is the famous Pike Place Market, located in Downtown. This is a huge multi-storey market that sells everything you can imagine: fresh fish, homemade cheeses, fragrant flowers, unfiltered beer, souvenirs, clothes, films, books and much more. It’s always fun here – everyone jokes, laughs, sings and plays. On the territory of Pike Place Market there is a real cheese factory, a shop of magicians, a shop for magicians, a restaurant-brewery and other equally interesting establishments.
Climate
olympic mountains
Seattle has a mild maritime climate. However, some characteristics are inherent in the Mediterranean climate – winters with high humidity and dry summers. The air temperature is not very high or very low due to the proximity of the Puget Sound, the Pacific Ocean and Lake Washington. Winters are cool and humid, with temperatures dropping to 2-4°C at night. The lowest temperature was recorded on January 31, 1950 years, it was -18 °C. Summers in Seattle are dry and warm, around +22.2/+26.7 °C during the day. The hottest temperature was recorded on July 29, 2009, it was +39.5 °C.
Transport
Port of Seattle
South of Seattle in the nearby city of Seatac is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which provides regular commercial international air travel. Boeing Field Airport, located closer to the city center, is used for the needs of civil aviation, as well as for the transport of goods. The only public transport within the city and throughout the district is an extensive network of bus routes, both private and municipal. Seattle is one of the few cities in North America with trolleybuses in its bus fleet. The road communication is well developed.
Tip
Seattle International Fountain
Tipping is a long tradition in the US and an integral part of the American way of life. Often the service charge is not included in the restaurant bill, but waiters and bartenders expect to receive 15 to 20 percent of it, depending on the class of the establishment. When using a taxi, a tip of 10 to 15 percent of the cost is considered normal.
Reasons to visit
Seattle loves coffee, which people like to brew and drink here. Seattle residents drink more coffee than any other city in the country. It was from here that the history of the Starbucks coffee shop chain began, which began as a small shop and turned into a global coffee giant. There are also many other coffee shops here. There are 2.5 such cafes for every 10 thousand inhabitants of the city. Another reason to visit Seattle is the local beer, as Seattle is home to thousands of breweries and is as famous for its beer culture as its coffee culture.
The “metal” brainchild of architect Frank Gehry is located in the very center of the city. Someone calls this eccentric building with an area of 42,000 square meters ugly, and someone notes its originality. This building houses one of the most interesting museums in the state – the Music History Project, which opened in 2000. You should definitely visit the Museum of Asian Art with its collection of 24,000 unique exhibits. The Aviation Museum, opened in 1965 in a former Boeing building, is considered one of the most popular museums in America.

IN DALLAS – Our Texas – Russian Newspaper in Houston, Dallas, San-Antonio, Austin, Texas
PROTEST MARCH
opening game of the Dallas Cowboys season. With their protest march, they denounced the September killings of young blacks. O’Shay Terry, 24, was shot dead by an Arlington police officer when his SUV was moving in the opposite direction from the officer. Botham Jean, 26, was shot and killed in his own apartment by white police officer Amber Guyger, who said she mistook his apartment for hers and mistook him for a burglar.
Family lawyer Jean Lee Merritt led a symbolic funeral procession with a hearse and coffins. The demonstrators demanded that Gaijer be charged with “murder” instead of “infliction of death by negligence.” Lawyers have criticized the investigation, calling it “biased” and arguing that the killer of an innocent person is “being given preferential treatment.” They disagree with the police officer’s version of events, stating that “her actions are portrayed in the best possible light.” At a press conference, Merritt stated that “two independent witnesses said they heard a knock on the door in the hallway before the shooting, one witness said they heard a woman’s voice saying, ‘Let me in!’ and after the shots, a man’s voice saying: “God, why are you doing this?” Merritt believes that these are the last words of Botham Gene, a native of the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, a graduate of the University of Arkansas and an employee of a consulting firm in Dallas, whose funeral was attended by 1500 people.
Mike Mata, president of the Dallas Police Officers Association, called Gene a “great individual” and called for “an open and full investigation into the event,” according to the Dallas Morning News. Police Chief Renee Hall said the Texas Rangers, who took over the investigation, have asked her “not yet to issue a warrant with specific wording of the charge, as they await confirmation of new information.” Many questions remain unanswered. Hall said that Gayger’s blood was found at the scene and will be tested for alcohol and drugs.
Amber Guyger released from Kaufman County Jail on $300,000 bail. She has been with the police for 4 years. In 2017, a police officer shot another man, Uvaldo Perez, who, after getting out of the car, behaved aggressively. Gayger tried to use electric shock, and then pulled out a gun and shot Peres in the stomach. No charges were filed.
INFLUENTIAL FIRST LADIES OF THE USA
George W. Bush Presidential Center invites you to the new exhibition “First Ladies: Style of Influence”. The exhibition shows how the role of the first lady has changed over time, and how the wives of presidents, including Barbara Bush, Laura Bush, Dolly Madison, Michelle Obama and Eleanor Roosevelt, used their position to advance social, cultural and political initiatives. Exhibitors will be able to present America’s First Ladies as hostess, teammate, advocate, all in the context of the changing US political and cultural landscape. Among the exhibits are rare photographs, historical documents, Eleanor Roosevelt’s evening dress, Dolly Madison’s snuff box, a movie camera and Lou Hoover’s scout uniform.
Ticket price 10-16 dollars; for active military, children under 4 years old and students, teachers and employees of SMU – admission is free.
BURY RETAIL EARLY
Despite the “retail apocalypse” as the media called the closures of Sears, Kmart, Toys R Us and others, some US retail chains are thriving and have no plans to close. These networks can become a reliable employer. They’re expanding, hiring new staff, and business success ensures they won’t close anytime soon. The list of such companies was compiled by GO Banking Rates.
With the help of sales analysis and information from Kantar Consulting, the US National Retail Federation (NRF) has compiled its new annual list. North Texas is represented quite well in it: the “successful hundred” included 8 companies of Dallas-Fort Worth.
“The list has changed little over the past few years, thanks to the efforts of successful companies that continuously and vigorously work to modernize and update their retail strategies,” according to the NRF website. The top 50 included Dallas-based 7-Eleven (No. 32) and AT&T Wireless (No. 35), as well as J.C. Penney Co. from Plano (No. 38). Dallas-based Army & Air Force Exchange landed at #61, Grapevine-based GameStop at #69, Irving-based Craft Store Michaels at #88. back and loved by Coco Chanel herself, made it into the top hundred with difficulty, becoming 93rd. Nearly left out is Exxon Mobil, the largest public oil company in the world and a direct descendant of Rockefeller’s Standard Oil, headquartered in Irving (No.2).
NORTH TEXAS IS THE NATION’S MAIN REAL ESTATE MARKET
According to a new WalletHub survey, the North Texas real estate market is hotter than the hottest summer day.
To determine the best real estate markets in the US, the financial site compared the situation in 300 cities of different sizes on 22 key indicators. Many things were taken into account – from housing prices to the growth of employment of citizens.
Frisco, McKinney and Allen took first 3 places. WalletHub analyst Jill Gonzalez noted that 15% of Frisco’s homes were built between 2010 and 2016, helping to become the top US real estate market. Another 5 cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area made the top 25: Richardson, Denton, Fort Worth, Irving, Grand Prairie. The top 100 included Garland, Plano, Dallas and Arlington.
MetroTex Realtors Association spokesman Bill Head said market leaders Frisco, McKinney, Allen and Richardson benefited from growth around State Highway 121 and the Bush Turnpike. “The affordability of homes in these cities is key to their attractiveness to buyers. The same can be said for many other places around Dallas, but here there is a smart combination of residential development and the business sector,” he added.
Head notes that “the real estate market in North Texas seems to be stabilizing, moving away from recent highs during the housing boom. Sales and pricing are getting firmer as more homes come on the market and buyers have more choice.”
On WalletHub’s list, Fort Worth ranked third among major US cities, McKinney ranked first among mid-sized cities, and Frisco, Allen and Richardson ranked in the top five among small towns. In other major markets in Texas, the situation is as follows: Austin received line 36, San Antonio 173, Houston 215.
FREE AIRPORT WIFI
Wi-Fi is considered standard service at most airports. Travelers can choose between free Wi-Fi at fixed speeds or pay for higher speeds. Finally got free wifi and Dallas Love Field airport. Approved by the Dallas City Council in August, the communications service went live in September. Previously, the airport only offered 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi.
NBA INVESTIGATION AND MAVERICKS REFORM
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will contribute $10 million “to better educate the public about domestic violence issues, address the claims of his female employees, and improve team working conditions. The Basketball League also announced that seven months after the release of the Sports Illustrated report detailing the women’s grievances, the team is expecting changes to its staffing, reporting system, and work rules.
There are allegations of sexual misconduct by former team president Terdemi Yousseri, who worked for Cuban for 15 years. Usseri was accused of similar actions in 1998, two years before Cuban acquired Mavericks. The investigation revealed that Cuban was unaware of this.
NBA investigation noted changes already implemented. Immediately after the release of Sports Illustrated, the team owner made personnel changes, invited former AT&T CEO Cynthia Marshall to the post of CEO, and hired two former prosecutors to investigate complaints within the team.
“The results of the independent investigation presented are disturbing. Nothing will undo the harm done, but the changes made, the upcoming reforms, and the $10 million that Mark has agreed to contribute are important steps to mend this past and address the societal problem of the inability of so many organizations to provide a safe workplace for women,” the commissioner said. MARY POPPINS, GOODBYE
Rebecca Anderson, owner of the Dallas Day Care Center, is incarcerated in county jail for “harming and leaving young children in a state of danger to their life and health” .
Mesquite Police Department investigators report that to make her job easier, the 60-year-old nanny kept small children and infants tied to car seats for several hours, regularly sedated them, left them bound in a dark room for up to 7 hours a day . A hidden camera showed Anderson abusing a child in a car. Pulling the baby by the ankles out of the child seat, she force-fed him with an unknown substance with a syringe.
Police also report that the defendant abruptly and dangerously pulled a bib from the neck of a 6-month-old baby, tied strings around the necks of younger children to restrict their movement, and gave them a sedative. Neighbors said they sometimes heard children screaming. “I was alarmed that the children always cried when their parents left them. Then they screamed,” said one of them.
Anderson charged with 9 counts.
FOR THE LOVE OF ART
Timothy Paul Hamilton Jr. from Dallas pleaded guilty to defrauding investors in Texas and Oklahoma of more than $875,000. He also agreed with the accusations of prior conspiracy to commit fraud using electronic means of communication. Hamilton, 31, told the court how he painted false investment opportunities for companies that make and sell sportswear and nutritional supplements. His parents, Gina and Timothy Hamilton, who work as managers of these companies, pleaded guilty to providing false information to financial institutions.
It turned out that the money received was used to advance the career ambitions of Hamilton Jr. in country music. The verdict to the hapless musician and his parents will be handed down in December.
FORMER WHITE HOUSE HOST TOUR
Dallas will be one of 10 cities Michelle Obama will visit during her fall tour to promote her memoir Becoming, which is being released in 28 languages. The tour kicks off November 13 in her native Chicago and ends December 17 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The participants of the meetings will hear stories about events, both public and private, that influenced the life of the author. “I hope this tour will inspire others to reflect and share their stories, joys and sorrows, and together we can better understand that each of us, in our own way, is in a constant process of becoming,” she says.

What Can Affect Product Manager Salaries?
What is a Product Manager?
Product managers are responsible for the conception, creation, and launch of new products. Their duties might include providing product strategy, managing a development roadmap, specifying technical and functional requirements, launching the product, creating the marketing strategy, and initiating ongoing updates such as new features.
There is a lot of variety in a product manager’s daily routine, but the one common thread is a focus on creating and launching products. They typically work with engineering teams, marketing professionals, and project managers.
Related Product Management Titles
There are several related product manager job titles that are worth mentioning and which are also covered in our salary guide below. Most denote different levels of seniority or different industries.
Director Of Product Management
This is one of the most senior positions that you can reach as a product manager. Responsibilities include creating the overall product strategy, writing business cases and case studies, design and implementation, and overseeing production and launch.
Senior Product Manager
Senior product managers often report to the director of product management and often take on responsibilities delegated to them by the director. They are more involved in the day-to-day of product management, as well as the creation and production processes, and defining and refining requirements.
Product Owner
Product owners tend to focus on maximizing efficiencies and the value of products to the consumer. In the software industry, product owners work directly with product development teams. Product owners guide the product team and keep production on track.
Junior Product Manager
Junior product managers aspire to the responsibilities of the senior product manager. They often start out with fewer duties and gain experience as they manage more and a wider variety of products. They are involved in production and the day-to-day, often supporting more senior product managers.
Associate Product Manager
Associate product managers do product management as part of their role, and may have another role such as sales, admin, or account management. Alternatively, associate product managers may work under a senior product manager to provide support, although their position requires more experience than a junior product manager.
Technical Product Manager
Job descriptions for technical product managers are almost identical to that of other product managers, but their roles are specific to technical industries such as engineering, IT, or software.
Product Marketing Manager
Product marketing managers work closely with product managers but their roles are distinct. The former primarily creates strategies for marketing the products created by the product manager and their team. This might include training sales staff, creating a marketing strategy, and producing marketing materials.
New Product Development Manager
This role is more involved in coming up with ideas for products. This may involve research, design, and requirement definition. New product development managers may assist in production, though not to the extent of product managers.
Chief Product Officer (CPO)
A CPO is the most senior position that a product manager can achieve. While not every organization will employ a chief product officer, within those that do, the CPO is the head strategist and oversees all products and product operations in an organization, including everything from product ideation to product design, product development, and product launch.
Average Product Manager Salary

Product Manager Career Path
Product manager careers can take many different paths. There are a variety of industries and sectors that require product managers, including software, manufacturing, retail, tech, and more. It’s also common to start out in one industry and move throughout your career, as interests and industries change.
Product managers often have several different titles over their career as they gain seniority and move between industries. All of these factors, and more, affect salary and career path.
Take a deeper dive into this topic, here: A Guide To The Product Manager Career Path + Roles And Skills
How We Calculated the Numbers?
Averages by experience, education level, and location (see below) were pulled from this report.
Product manager salary information by specific job title was sourced from Indeed. All dollar amounts are listed in USD unless stated otherwise. Survey responses that reported salaries in a currency other than USD were converted to USD, and any currencies that were not specified were assumed to be USD.
What Can Affect Product Manager Salaries?
So, how much do product managers make? The answer is, it depends—which may not be the answer that you were necessarily looking for, but just providing a number with no context or disclaimers wouldn’t give you any actionable information. Here is a brief explanation of the factors that can affect product management salaries.
Experience
As with any job, experience affects your salary. You might be working as a product manager in software, IT, or manufacturing, and whether you choose one industry or path and follow it, or jump around between industries or product types, your experience changes throughout your career. In general, entry-level positions that require less than 2 years of experience on average earn US$74,000, 6-10 years earn US$117,000, and 15+ years earn US$154,000.
Keep in mind that these numbers speak to average base salary, and do not take bonuses or other forms of compensation into account. This is important, since it is reported that about 44% of Product Managers receive a bonus of at least US$3,000 annually as part of their average total compensation, which is not accounted for above.
In certain industries and companies, it is also common to offer employees, including product managers, compensation in the form of company stock options. Be sure to take this into account when conducting research into a potential new job or negotiating a salary.
Education
Product managers tend to be well-educated, as they need training and education in product management and business. This might include an MBA, or some other type of business degree, as well as technical training or supplementary courses in product management.
Around 42% of product managers have a master’s degree, while 45% have a bachelor’s degree. Those with a bachelor’s degree make an average of US$116,500, and those with a master’s or some master’s make an average of US$127,800.
Location
Salary also varies in different regions of the U.S. Places where product managers are more in-demand tend to offer more money than other areas. For example, product managers are highly sought after in Silicon Valley, where the pace of creating and launching new products is still growing. Product managers are likely to earn more there than anywhere else in the US.
Here are the median salaries by region in the United States:
Median salaries by region in the United States.
West Coast (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle): US$120,000
East Coast (New York, Boston): US$108,000
South (Atlanta): US$101,000
Midwest (Chicago, Denver): US$95,000
Compensation for product managers also varies by country. Keep in mind that the amount fluctuates based on many factors, including the average cost of living in that city or region.
Toronto, Canada: CA$106,591
Berlin, Germany: €57,000
Sydney, Australia: A$110,000
London, UK: £55,000
Zurich, Switzerland: CHF109,000
Certification
Whether or not a product manager has relevant certifications will have an impact on their salary. On average, 68% of product managers have between 1 and 3 certifications. This makes product managers more hireable, as well as earns them more money. Product management certifications provide tangible proof to employers that they are capable of their responsibilities, so certified product managers tend to make more.

Product manager and IT team: how to interact? — GlobalCIO|DigitalExperts
Global CIO Edition
November 26, 2021
The profession of product manager is becoming more and more popular and in demand. Mikhail Karpov, CEO of ProductStar, tells how to competently implement a product approach in the work of a team and establish interaction with the IT department.
Why does a company need a product manager?
Market boundaries are changing, competition is getting tougher, and global instability is adding fuel to the fire. New players are actively invading the market (like Tesla in the production of traditional cars), as a result of which the rules of the game and consumer preferences are rapidly changing.
Customer expectations are high, but not always clearly defined: they want a personalized service at the highest level, but how and in what form to offer it is up to the business to figure out on its own. That is why competent product managers who know how to feel the market and at the same time hear customers, helping the business to use resources to the maximum and get financial returns from them, are worth their weight in gold today.
Roles of a product manager in a company
Depending on the type of business, industry, company objectives, product managers can occupy different positions in the management hierarchy and company structure. Often, their activities are attributed to the technology department or the marketing service, but there is no clear distinction, since the product manager has knowledge from different areas.
Ideally, the product manager remains independent enough to set the product roadmap, direction, and strategy. For example, a product manager reporting to a chief engineer will be forced to focus on technical details. In the marketing structure, he will have to keep the focus on marketing aspects. This is natural, since each department strives to achieve the maximum result in its front of work.
In a well-built business structure, the product manager performs several roles at once. First of all, he must be an idea evaluator: collects ideas about new products / services, evaluates them for viability and marketability. As well as strategist , creating a development strategy for one or more products or services along with a roadmap for them. Another role is omniscient expert: the product manager must be a guru in the markets where his product is sold. He needs to deeply understand the psychology of customers, including how they perceive the product and why they are interested in buying.
In addition, the product manager needs to be the top skeptic in the company. He understands that different interest groups inside and outside the company will pull the blanket over themselves. He will need to choose only what best suits the product.
In the role of sympathizer, the product manager makes sure that the best interests of customers are served. He hears not only what the buyer says, but also what this buyer cannot articulate or dares to say. Because customers cannot attend development team meetings, the product manager can act as an advocate by asking questions from the customer’s point of view. Sometimes these are difficult questions that everyone avoids.
There is a whole world of data, metrics and analytics to help the product manager in the role of analyst . Which is better: to find more leads and still get a higher churn rate? Or vice versa? And since the product manager often has to choose between two equally difficult options, he also has to try on the role of optimizer.
Product Manager and IT Department
Most of the transformations and new initiatives in the company require the involvement of the IT department, and the management must have a person or group of people who have both a business mindset (not just a project one) and the skills to work with a technical team: developers, testers, analysts and designers . That is, they are able to carry out a change from and to – from the proposed business idea to its direct technological implementation within the specified time frame and within the agreed budget, with the required level of quality.
Therefore, a product manager in the context of working with an IT team must have process tools (starting from knowledge of Agile, Scrum and specialized programs for implementing these processes in a team) in order to ensure control over the result and be able to correctly set technical tasks. It is also important for him to understand the structure of the company’s IT services (architecture and infrastructure of services, existing technological risks in the company and the concept of technical debt, the nuances of the release process, the distribution of tasks between Dev, QA, DevOps teams).
In addition, the product manager should act as a recognized leader for the IT team in order to focus it on the necessary tasks, increase the team’s efficiency.
When a product manager interacts with an IT team, transparency of decisions and goals is also important. This helps to focus the team on the desired result, involve it in the design of solutions and improve the final quality of the product being developed. When working with a team, it is always important to correctly allocate the responsibility of each of the participants. Typically, the product manager answers the “what needs to be done” question, and the development team and its technical lead answer the “how to do” question. As a rule, the product manager comes with a list of tasks, then the IT team evaluates them and organizes a “grooming” – a meeting at which the composition of the tasks for the next product releases is formed, taking into account their priority and labor costs.
One of the common mistakes a product manager makes is trying to set deadlines for a team. This reduces the responsibility of the development team for the final result and can lead to conflict situations, and it is simply a less accurate way to predict releases. Another mistake is the unstructured process of introducing endless edits and new ideas into the development plans during the current release. This slows down the pace of the team and slows it down, reduces overall motivation and blurs the focus of responsibility.
If you look at the approaches of collaboration between Product manager and IT team in Russia and in the West, they will differ somewhat. In Europe and the US, as in more mature markets, the product manager must have a focused but deeper expertise. For example, some products work more closely with the development team and receive the Technical Product manager specialization. Other products focus more on working with stakeholders or users. In Russia, in an actively developing market, most often, on the contrary, a wider expertise is required from a product manager (for example, the roles of both Project manager and Product manager are often combined in one person).
As a result of the work of a professional product manager, the company receives not only an IT team that can cope with the technical implementation of the tasks, but also an IT team that understands the company’s strategy, thinks in business metrics and stands on the side of product quality for end users, which leads to acceleration of development time (business and IT understand each other better, no unnecessary tasks are done, the team has a transparent goal and motivation), improving user experience and growth of business metrics (there is an emphasis on metrics and decision-making based on data, as well as the IT team begins to better understand the needs of customers and take them into account when designing technical solutions).
Product management hierarchy
Who works under or with the product manager? This depends on whether your organization is a startup, a medium or small business, or a large enterprise. In a startup, the founder or CEO may himself be the product manager, and therefore everyone should report to him.
In SMBs, product managers usually play a specific role, and the product management hierarchy looks something like this. The Chief Product Officer (CPO) is the top-level representative in the product management department, responsible for the overall strategy and budget. The Product Manager or VP of Product manages the management team and is responsible for profit, loss, and budget. In some organizations, the VP and CPO are the same person.
The next step in the hierarchy is the senior product manager or product manager: he owns a particular product and leads it through the life cycle. The junior manager works under his direction and is responsible for certain parts of the task.
Accreditation is an official review process performed by a nationally-recognized outside agency. The process of achieving and maintaining accreditation is no easy feat. It involves staff and family participation, classroom observations, and health and safety checks. The accrediting agencies have high standards that often go above and beyond our state’s minimum licensing requirements for child care centers. We have to meet these high standards in order to achieve this mark of excellence.
Accreditation Equals a Commitment to Our Families
Our centers are accredited because we believe so strongly in the process and its purpose: to ensure your child receives the very best education and care in the early years that we know are so important to development. When your child is enrolled at our accredited center, you will experience the difference.
Doing the Right Thing for You and Your Child
Accreditation inspires a dedication to constant improvement in all areas—meaning our centers take the care and education of your child very seriously and work tirelessly to answer “yes” to important questions about:
The Teachers: Are they professional, experienced, nurturing, and qualified? Do they form bonds with the children and build trust with families?
The Environment: Is it safe, clean, and organized? Are daily routines clear?
The Curriculum: Does it spark a joy of learning and is it appropriate for each stage of development? Is there time and space for children to explore in the classroom and outside?
These are likely many of the same questions you’re asking yourself or a Center Director on a tour. In an accredited center, the answer is a resounding “yes” to these and many other important questions. The answer is “yes” to what matters most to you as a loving, involved parent.
We’re proud to have the most nationally accredited early learning centers in the country—nearly 1400. We’re dedicated to achieving 100 percent accreditation for all of our eligible centers—and that puts us head and shoulders above the rest of the industry.
Who Accredits Our Centers?
Our centers pursue national accreditation from one of three national early childhood accreditation agencies:
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA)
For more information please contact your state’s child care regulatory office, or visit the above accreditation organizations.

The head of the Ministry of Education called the condition for the exemption of kindergartens from certification
Kindergartens in Kazakhstan that have voluntarily passed accreditation will be exempted from attestation. About this during the panel session… 08/10/2022, Sputnik Kazakhstan
NUR-SULTAN, August 10 – Sputnik. Kindergartens in Kazakhstan that have voluntarily passed accreditation will be exempted from attestation. This was stated by the Minister of Education of Kazakhstan, Askhat Aimagambetov, during the panel session of the August conference. That is, the emphasis will not be on how documents are drawn up, but the main issue will be a survey of parents and interested teachers. State accreditation is a procedure for confirming the compliance of educational activities in the main educational programs of vocational education with the requirements of the state educational standard. qualifications of teachers with the requirements for qualification categories, or confirmation of the compliance of teachers with their positions based on an assessment of their professional activities. Earlier, the Ministry of Education reported that dozens of complaints were received about the work of kindergartens. Based on the results of the inspections that followed the complaints received, 5 administrative cases were initiated on facts of harm to the life and health of children. The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated 15 administrative cases against preschool organizations, the Ministry of Education reported. We note that earlier the Ministry of Education initiated the return of the procedure for licensing kindergartens. Today, all levels of education are licensed in Kazakhstan – schools, colleges, universities, except for preschool education.
NUR-SULTAN, August 10 – Sputnik . Kindergartens in Kazakhstan that have voluntarily passed accreditation will be exempted from attestation. This was stated by the Minister of Education of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov during the panel session of the August conference.
The minister said that the department is changing approaches to certification of gardens in terms of quality characteristics. That is, the emphasis will not be on how documents are drawn up, but the main issue will be a survey of parents and interested teachers.
“Attestation will change in the direction of qualitative indicators. We want to additionally introduce the possibility of accreditation, it is assumed that those (kindergartens) who pass voluntary accreditation will be exempted from attestation. Why is it necessary to conduct both accreditation and attestation in parallel? There are such plans and we will discuss them,” Aimagambetov said.
State accreditation is a procedure for confirming the compliance of educational activities in the main educational programs of vocational education for compliance with the requirements of the state educational standard.
Certification allows you to establish compliance with the level of qualifications of teaching staff with the requirements for qualification categories, or confirmation of the compliance of teaching staff with their positions based on an assessment of their professional activities.
