Offer letters for 3-year-old kindergarten will be emailed to families from Monday, 3 October 2022.
Families will receive their offer letters via email and the letter will contain instructions on how to accept or decline the offer.
If you want to change your preference please or make updates to your registration please contact the Kindergarten and Registration Liaison Officer on 9784 862 or email info@frankston. vic.gov.au.
On-time registrations close on Friday, 30 September 2022 at 5:00pm. Registrations can be submitted after that date and will still be processed but will not receive the same priority as On-Time Registrations received before 30 September 2022.

What Does It Cost?
The Victorian Government is investing up to $169.6 million to offer Free Kinder in 2023, to give our kids the best start in life and has announced it will fully fund 3-year-old kindergarten programs as of 2022.

Most kindergartens within the Frankston municipality offer a 3-year-old kindergarten program.
Nominating kindergarten preferences
You are only required to nominate one (1) kindergarten preference.
Due to limited availability you are not guaranteed to receive a place at your preferred kindergarten. If there are no vacancies at your preferred kindergarten you will be added to that waiting list. You can only be on ONE list – you cannot be on multiple waiting lists and you cannot accept an offer of a place at one kindergarten and also be on a waiting list for another kindergarten.
Do NOT submit multiple registrations for different kindergartens. Only one registration per child per year. If you need to amend an existing registration please contact the Kindergarten and Registration Liaison Officer on 9784 1862 or email [email protected].

Is my child eligible to start three year old kindergarten?
To be eligible for 3-year-old kindergarten children must be three years of age or older by 30 April in the year they start kindergarten.
If your child turns three years of age between 1 January and 30 April in the year you wish to start 3-year-old kindergarten, your child will not be able to attend until they have turned 3 years of age.
Early Start Kindergarten
Early Start Kindergarten provides free or low cost kindergarten to eligible three year old children where programs are offered by a qualified teacher. Some services will be able to offer your child a place in a program for four-year-olds or a mixed age group.
Is My Child Eligible for Early Start Kindergarten?
Your child is eligible for Early Start Kindergarten if they are aged three by 30 April in the year they will be attending a kindergarten program, and:
- from a refugee or asylum seeker background, or
- identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or
- your family has had contact with child protection.

K3 – 3-year-old Kindergarten
The three-year-old kindergarten program (K3) at St.
Mary Parish School is a fun, friendly way to start your child’s school experience. We provide a loving and caring atmosphere in which students can gain self-confidence, develop friendships and learn about the world around them. Through play, song and age-appropriate structured learning, students develop independence, a sense of self and a love of learning.
K3 students participate in a curriculum and activities about religion, mathematics, reading readiness and language arts, science and social studies, and learning centers.
The K3 program is a half-day program offered two or three mornings per week from 8:05 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
K4 – 4-year-old Kindergarten
The four-year-old kindergarten program (K4) at St. Mary School strives to provide a warm and friendly learning environment through the use of a wide range of media and materials. Our curriculum fosters self-expression, exploration and positive learning experiences to help each child grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, morally, and physically.
We believe each child is unique with individual abilities, experiences and needs.
Throughout each school week, our K4 students experience: religion, reading readiness and language arts, mathematics, science, development and understanding of others, morning meeting, learning centers, and “specials” such as art, music, library, computers and physical education.
The K4 program is offered as a full day or half day option. St. Mary’s offers on site Before and After-Care from 6:30 am – 7:50 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm whenever school is in session.
K5 – 5-year-old Kindergarten
The five-year-old kindergarten program (K5) at St. Mary Parish School fosters our students’ love of learning, their general knowledge, their social abilities and their curiosity about the world around them.
Our K5 students participate in a variety of activities throughout the day, including learning opportunities as one group, in smaller groups and as individuals. Learning incorporates a variety of media and methods, such as block building, pretend play, picture books, paints and other art materials, and table toys such as legos, pegboards, and puzzles.
Teachers work with individual children, small groups, and the whole group at different times during the day.
K5 students participate in a curriculum and activities about religion, mathematics, reading readiness, science and social studies, morning meeting, learning centers, and “specials” such as art, music, library, computers and physical education.
K5 is a full day program. St. Mary’s offers on site Before and After-Care from 6:30 am – 7:50 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. whenever school is in session. Extracurriculars available to five-year-old students include private music lessons and Daisies Girl Scouts.

Municipal Autonomous Preschool Educational Institution Kindergarten No. 3 of the city of Tyumen was formed as a result of the merger of two preschool educational institutions – the Municipal Autonomous Preschool Educational Institution of Kindergarten No. 3 of the city of Tyumen and the Municipal Autonomous Preschool Educational Institution of the Child Development Center – Kindergarten No. 163 of the city of Tyumen has two buildings, which are located in typical two-story buildings. Irving has a population of 205,541 according to the annual US Census. Among all cities in Texas, Irving ranks 13th in terms of the number of inhabitants. The city of Irving belongs to the agglomeration of the cities of Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington. Irving has a neighborhood called Las Colinas, which was once the first integrated planning and development area in the United States, with an area of approximately 49km².

When I hold on tight to needing things to go a certain way my children have been excellent teachers. When I breathe, center myself and focus on the beautiful way the moment is unfolding just as it is, my children have been excellent teachers. When I enforce someone else’s agenda and methods, my children have been excellent teachers. When I open myself to approaching challenges from a creative angle, my children have been excellent teachers. I continue to learn every single day, and my children continue to teach me. I so look forward to implementing the lessons I have learned both formally and informally in the classroom with your children. We are going to have a wonderful, laughter filled year full of songs, and stories, and laughter and discovery.
Originally I am from the cornfields of Iowa but have spent the last 20+ years in Boulder planting my roots firmly in the rocky soil of the foothills. I live in Boulder with my husband Mark and my two lovely (not so little) littles, Penny and Tilda. Both Penny and Tilda graduated from Snow Lion.
At the same time we are not striving to be perfect and in fact, appreciate our imperfections, as they are often our best teachers. We think it is wonderful for children to see the adults in their life working with their rough edges, continuously growing and changing.
My primary classroom training is focused on social emotional development and separation in toddlers. The journey children go through to discover that they are independent, capable little big beings is my favorite thing to witness. It is unique to each as well as a shared experience. Observing and supporting aha moments, resilience and the figuring out of where one person ends and another begins fills me with joy.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2001 in the College of English Language and Literature; shortly after that I packed up my Honda Civic with all my belongings with my husband Shawn, and moved to Boulder in June of 2001. I consider myself a lifelong learner and truth seeker driven by a passion for knowledge. In my free time, I enjoy researching and reading about health and wellness, hiking, doing yoga, playing card and board games with my family.
Currently I hold a level VI Colorado Early Childhood Credential Professional Credential 3.0. In 2019, I took the Colorado Foundations in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health course. Currently, I am in the process of renewing my Early Childhood Coaching Credential to help first year and teacher aides in the profession.
I was fortunate to find a place at Snow Lion, first in the Cubs room and then with the Lions. I am thrilled to be continuing to connect with the children and helping to facilitate outlets of self-discovery. I look forward to sharing my creativity, energy, love and compassion with each of your children.
I have two children who graduated from Snow Lion and I feel so lucky to be a part of this amazing community. I have worked with children throughout my career and find myself in awe of their sense of wonder, unique expression, and the intricacies of each child’s individual path toward development. When I’m not teaching you will find me adventuring, here in CO and beyond, with my family. We love to travel, ski, hike, snorkel, anything outside will do. In addition, I have a background in yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda with a 200 hour YTT.
Looking after children has always been my first love, but for some reason I never thought of going into early childhood education when I went off to college at CU Colorado Springs. Instead, I picked Geography as my major and I loved all of the classes. After coming back up to Boulder, I earned my associates degree through Front Range and a little later, my Bachelor’s degree from CU Boulder in Geography. I worked for Whitewave Foods for a couple years in the Finance department and realized finance wasn’t my jam and I still felt the pull to work with children again.
In 2016, I became a mom and deepened my understanding of what it is to be a teacher of young children and in 2017, we welcomed our second little lady to our lives. We spend our summers camping and playing with friends. I love to travel and have been instilling in our girls the love of adventures and discovery that traveling affords. I look forward to getting to know you, your family and children while building a friendship that hopefully lasts a lifetime!
In my free time I enjoy many hobbies. My current favorites have been crocheting and going for walks.
It is such an honor to be a teacher and to have the opportunity to support children and families on their unique life paths.
It is very important that all children arrive in time to benefit from this time when we come together to welcome the day, to acknowledge each other’s presence, and to connect with what is happening in our world. Circle is a time when the children are lead through a series of songs, verses, movements, and games that weave into a story. At circle, there is a sense of wonder, inspiration, and appreciation that is sparked and that carries the children through their day at school. What happens in circle tends to flavor much of the children’s play, observations, and provides the ground for other class activities. Please make it a priority to arrive in time for circle every day. When children arrive in the middle of circle, it disrupts the entire rhythm, making it nearly impossible to re-group. Sequences, poems, songs, and silence are interrupted and the atmosphere changes dramatically. For children who are the ones interrupting, they distinctly feel the discomfort of this and we notice a significant difference in their sense of connection.
For us as teachers, we spend great amounts of time preparing for circle and it is frustrating for us as well. Please make sure your child arrives by 9:00 a.m. If you are going to be late, please call and then wait until 9:45a.m. to arrive. At 9 o’clock, we will put a sign on the gate to let late-arriving families know that circle has already begun. We completely understand that sometimes you are running late in the morning and we really appreciate your understanding about our circle time, which we all hold so dear.
Children’s play is, by far, the most important aspect of their early education. Children learn more through play than through any projects we are able to provide. In play, the children communicate deeply with one another, sharing their thoughts and ideas, sorting out difficulties, experiencing their emotions and the emotions of others. When children are able to sink into their play, uninterrupted, they become exceptionally creative. If we can imagine the times in life when we feel completely relaxed and expansive, when our creativity flows, leaving us with confidence and a feeling of greater meaning and connection to our lives, we can begin to understand the depth and importance of children’s play. Teachers provide support during these times by creating a cheerful and uplifted environment, nice playthings, and an unobtrusive yet warm presence, there to lend a hand if needed, and otherwise content to simply observe. The playthings available to the children are mostly made of natural materials – cotton and silk cloths, building blocks, log pieces, hollow blocks, dolls, stones, pits, and carved wooden figures, to mention a few.
These open-ended types of toys encourage children to “create as they go” and to connect to the natural world through their play.
Through the course of the year we paint, color, sew, weave, die cloth and wool, sculpt, dip candles, and do many, many other crafts and art activities.
This is easier said than done! We always sing as we work and help each other out. We don’t force the children to clean up, but we strongly encourage them to participate, mostly through modeling this habit ourselves. When a child is consistently not relating to the ending of their projects, we use stories, games and group discussions about “wrapping up loose ends” and “relating to the beginning, middle and end” as our main tools for helping the children feel the importance of completing what they start.
We tell many different kinds of stories- some with morals, some just for fun, some that are highly interactive. Each story is told daily for about a month to give the children the opportunity to absorb the story and make it their own.
He even opened a school for tractor drivers on his farm. But then winter comes, and the whole city is covered with snow. The students rush to Ture’s aid and unanimously clear the city of snow. This year my high schooler (and many other HS/middle schoolers) received 2 global seals of fluency – in Spanish and Chinese and the HS will get to study in Spain for a month while they complete their dual enrollment college classes. The class sizes are pretty small so that teachers can give students the individualized attention to help them stay ahead, which is great bc they are learning very deep advanced material. If any students need extra help in the subject the school will offer tutoring. My kids attended an Irvine public school for a year and felt the material was not challenging enough, including the advanced math classes, so we decided to come back to keep them challenged.
