At the final stage of the war, both W. Churchill and the commander of British troops in Europe, B. Montgomery, seriously considered the option of capturing Berlin, Vienna and Prague by the Western allies before the Soviet armies. German resistance […]

How often do we have to return to the world in childhood and face our fears? What special memories does our memory hold? It is with the return to childhood of the nameless hero that Neil Gaiman’s novel “The Ocean at the End of the Road” begins.

Humphrey Bogart Anniversary
“You got in my way boy! Should I kiss you or hit you?” Marlene Dietrich asked Humphrey Bogart when they met. They weren’t limited to just one kiss. He was a cynic and a drunkard. But no one wore hats so elegantly and no one burned women with his eyes like that. Humphrey Bogart was old fashioned. If you fell in love, you got married. All wives are actresses. The third, Mayo Meto, drank even more than Humphrey. She was so jealous that she set fire to the house several times, and once stabbed Bogart with a knife. The couple was called the “Warring Bogarts”. It was Mayo who spread rumors about Humphrey’s affair with her partner in the legendary Casablanca, Ingrid Bergman. To refute this nonsense, Humphrey and Ingrid swore that they could not stand each other. And they didn’t lie.
A 19-year-old debutante turned out to be more dangerous than the famous Ingrid Bergman. Humphrey met Lauren Bacall on the set of another of his iconic films, To Have and Have Not. Lauren was so afraid of the 45-year-old Bogart that she looked at him frowningly, her head bowed low. But then this look made her a sex symbol. They got married a year later. Friends called their house “The Rat Hole”. The most noisy parties were held there. Lauren gave Humphrey two children. They lived together for 12 years – until Bogart’s death. He died at 57 from cancer – an addiction to cigarettes and alcohol affected. Lauren outlived her beloved by 57 years. She called Humphrey Bogart the best man to walk the earth.

But there are a number of problems with this, because due to excessive planning, if something does not go according to plan, it immediately throws you off balance. You are impulsive and therefore it is important to always control the situation. Others will have to get used to your features in order to go hand in hand with you through life. You are ready for any work, but only if you consider it timely and extremely necessary. You do not like being pressured, it causes you indignation and a sharp dislike for the person from whom it comes. You do not like it when your opinion is not taken into account and decisions are made for you, this causes rejection in you. You need to be in control of all your actions. Reliability in marriage, reliable business, being yourself under any circumstances is important for you. You will give all your strength, energy, your talent and, most importantly, time to your business.

2. Knowledge update
Teacher: – Answer the questions that a student of our class will ask you. First say the whole word, and then say it syllable by syllable. (The student goes to the blackboard and begins a vocabulary warm-up.)
– Capital of Russia. (Moscow.) Moscow-qua
– Pet, man’s friend. (Dog.) So-ba-ka
– Plate, cup, saucer, in a word. (Dishes.) So-su-yes
– A garden plant growing in a head. (Cabbage.) Cabbage
– Large horned domestic animal. (Cow.) Ko-ro-va
– Intense cold. (Frost.) Mo-rose
– A small city bird, a bully and a thief. (Sparrow.) Vo-ro-bey
– A wild animal with long ears. (Hare.) Hare
Teacher: – How are all the words of the answers similar? (These are all vocabulary words.)
– What words are called vocabulary (Answers of children)
Teacher : Guys, dictionary words are words that have orthograms (letters) that are not checked by the rules of Russian spelling (spelling). Word “ Spelling ” of Greek origin and translated as “correctly” “I write” . The spelling of any dictionary word is determined by the dictionary – hence the name “dictionary words”
– Guys, who will name the topic of our lesson? (children’s answers)
– Why do you think the whole lesson will be devoted to this topic? (children’s answers)
Teacher: – There are a lot of vocabulary words in Russian and you need to write them correctly.
Teacher: – What knowledge is needed to quickly find the right word in the dictionary? (children’s answers)
Teacher: You need to know the Russian alphabet.
– Look and tell me how the words are arranged in the dictionary? (children’s answers)
Teacher: That’s right guys, the words are in alphabetical order.
– Tell the alphabet along the chain.
– Ask each other questions to check how well everyone in the class knows the alphabet. (What letter comes before the letter …, after the letter …, between the letters …?)
3. Explanation of new material
Teacher: – Today we will get acquainted with new vocabulary words. As we have already said, the correct spelling of which you just need to remember or check their spelling in a dictionary. There are a lot of such words in Russian. Today we will get acquainted with some of these words. You will learn these words when you solve my riddles.
Riddle one:
Growing in the field
Under the millstone was,
From the stove to the table
Loaf came.
(Wheat)
Riddle two:
A huge house floats on the sea –
People on themselves through the waves are lucky
(Ship)
Riddle three:
No feather, no wing
And faster than an eagle.
Just release the tail –
Rush to the stars.
(Rocket)
Mystery 4:
Two humps, hooves, tail…
He is huge!
People are crowding in front of him.
Children, who is he?
(Camel)
Riddle fifth, last:
On the bottom shelf
Bowls, dishes,
And above the tea. ..
(Cookware)
4. Difficulty identification
Teacher: – Guys, I wrote the answers on the blackboard. But as you can see, each word is missing one letter. How do you think? What letter should be written in the word “Wheat” after the letter “w”. Who will answer?
(Teacher listens to different answers)
– What letter should be written in the word “Ship” after the letter “k”?
(Teacher listens to different answers)
– Let’s continue. And what letter should be written in the word “Rocket” after the letter “r”?
(Teacher listens to different answers)
– What letter should be written in the word “Camel” after the letter “c”?
(Teacher listens to different answers)
– What letter should be written in the word “Dishes” after the letter “p”?
(Teacher listens to different answers)
– Guys, you called different letters. Today we will learn how to get out of this difficult situation.
And now for a physical education session.
Development of a plan to get out of their existing difficulty
Teacher: Guys, we continue our vocabulary work. I will tell you a secret. Dictionary words are very easy to remember if we can find a bridge between the word that we want to remember and another word in which the “stubborn” letter is heard clearly and distinctly. … But remember! You must come up with a word that is connected with our word, this is the bridge.
5. Discovery of new knowledge
Teacher: – Guys, in the word “Wheat” (writes in a letter), the letter “e” is written. Now we will try to find such a word (bridge) to the word “wheat” so that the sound “e” sounds clear. (children’s answers)
– Well done, (child’s name). What a good word “bread” you found (found). Let’s add the word “bread” so that we get a small crossword puzzle (the teacher writes on the blackboard).
Now, open your workbooks. We skip two working lines. On the third we write down the number, and below we write “Classwork”.
(Students write in notebooks the number, class work.)
The children write the word “Wheat”. We divide this word into syllables and for transfer.
Teacher: Guys, what are they doing with wheat? (children’s answers)
What is made from flour? (children’s answers)
How should you treat bread? (children’s answers)
Teacher: – Yes, guys, the attitude to bread should be careful.
– What is the name of the bread that is made from wheat (Children’s answers)
– We write on the board: wheat bread.
– Guys, who will make a sentence with the words bread and wheat. (children’s answers)
In notebooks we write down the sentence:
Bread is made from wheat.
The teacher on the blackboard writes the word “wheat” horizontally, the word “bread” vertically.
– Guys, do you know what a crossword puzzle is? (children’s answers)
Write off our little crossword puzzle from the board (the guys write the word “wheat” horizontally, the word “bread” vertically)
The teacher offers to highlight the syllable (color, circle, underline) that causes difficulties in writing.
6. Primary consolidation of new knowledge
Teacher: – In our crossword puzzle, underline the letter “e”. Guys, the word “bread” is called associative. And in order for us to write the word “wheat” correctly, it is enough to remember the word “bread”. Now I will tell you what an association is. Association is born in any person. When a person hears a familiar word, then an image appears in his brain, a picture not only of a familiar word, but also of words that are associated with the first word. Vladimir Ivanovich Dal (the teacher shows the dictionary) very well reflected such connections in his Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language. For example, for the word “cow”, Dal indicates such associations according to the color of the cow’s coat: “white, beluga, gray; brown, cow; redhead; black; white-faced”. You guys understand that we are talking about a cow when someone says “cow”.
The same work is being done with the dictionary word “Dishes”
7. Independent work
Teacher: – And now come up with associative words for the rest of the dictionary words.
I’ll give you three minutes to complete the task.
– Guys. Time is over. Let’s hear what you got. Who wants to read their own words? (Answers of children).
The teacher, with the help of correctly asked leading questions, leads the children to the expected answer.
8. Reflection
After all the vocabulary words of the lesson have been learned, the teacher conducts a final memorization: he dictates an associative word, and the students write down or pronounce the corresponding vocabulary word aloud.
Teacher calls the dictionary word, children – associative.
For example, sea-ship; spoon-dishes, start-rocket; ship-sea, crockery-spoon, rocket-start.
The guys make up sentences using a couple of words.
All proposals are listened to, and the best proposal, according to the children, is written in a notebook under the dictation of the teacher.
9. Homework
Teacher: – At home you should illustrate (draw) mini-crossword puzzles.

Research Triangle
Research Triangle , or simply Triangle , are common nicknames for a metropolitan area in the Piedmont region of the U. S. state of North Carolina in the United States, assigned to the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and home to three major cities. research universities: North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, respectively. The name “Triangle” originated in 1950s with the creation of the Triangle Research Park, located between the three anchor cities, which is the largest research park in the United States and home to numerous high-tech companies. [1]
The nine-county region, officially named by the Office of Management and Budget Raleigh-Durham-Carey Combined Statistical Area , includes the Raleigh-Carey and Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Areas and the Henderson Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area has a population of 2,106,463 as of the 2020 census, making it the second largest combined statistical area in North Carolina after Charlotte. [2] The Raleigh-Durham Television Market includes a wider area of 24 counties including Fayetteville, North Carolina, with a population of 2,726,000. [3] Most of the Triangle is part of North Carolina’s first, second, fourth, ninth, and thirteenth congressional districts. [4]
The region is sometimes confused with the Piedmont Triad, which is the region of North Carolina adjacent to and immediately west of the Triangle, comprising Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, among other cities.
Depending on which definition of the Research Triangle region is used, the region is comprised of three to 16 districts. The three main counties of Wake, Durham and Orange are home to the three research universities for which the area is named.
As of September 14, 2018, the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has defined the Raleigh-Durham-Carey Combined Statistical Area as consisting of two metropolitan and one micropolitan statistical area. [5] These three statistical areas are in turn defined as consisting of a total of nine districts. MSA and their constituent districts:
Until September 2018, the OMB used the name Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area and included several additional counties. [6] The Dunn Micropolitan Statistical Area (Harnett County) and the Sanford Micropolitan Statistical Area (Lee County) were moved to the Fayetteville-Sanford-Lumberton Combined Statistical Area, while the Oxford (Granville County) Micropolitan Statistical Area was merged into the area Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Raleigh Metropolitan Statistical Area was also renamed the Raleigh-Carey Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Texas Rising Star
The Texas Rising Star program is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) for child care programs. Numerous research studies have shown that children who attend higher-quality early learning programs are more prepared for school entry than children who do not attend high-quality programs.
Our programs offer quality that exceeds the child care licensing standards for director and staff qualifications, teacher-child interactions, program administration, family education and engagement, and indoor and outdoor learning environments. These above and beyond practices positively affect the development of the children we serve.
Physical Development
Children will have several opportunities throughout their day to actively explore their indoor and outdoor environments by using their bodies to practice their gross motor skills, such as running, jumping, balancing, dancing, crawling and more.
Healthy Snack
EAC YMCA ensures children have access to a healthy, balanced snack each morning and afternoon. Snacks include a variety of vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and small amounts of added sugar and saturated fat. All USDA approved.
Small Group Instruction
Preschoolers will experience hands-on activities during small group instruction which allows the teacher to provide specific support to help each child move to the next level of learning. These activities include fine motor skills, sorting, counting, and number and letter recognition.
Calendar & Forms 2022-23 Early Education Academic Calendar
Current and validated immunization records or a vaccine affidavit and a health statement are required by child care licensing before child care services begin. Most doctors can provide a health statement; however, you can click on the link below for a template that your doctor can sign, if needed. If your child is 4 years or older we will also need records of their hearing and vision results.
Immunization & Health Statement Form
Note: Start of care will be delayed until all required documents are received at the EAC Y business office.
Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for Child-Care Facilities

Infant Daycare 2-18 Months | Austin Childrens Academy
Montessori Infant Program
When it comes to the care of infants and our infant program, we at the Austin Children’s Academy (ACA) know that your fundamental concern is for the safety, comfort, and loving care of your children. We treat your babies with as much compassion as if they were our very own. By placing them in the arms of our joyful, experienced caregivers, in an environment designed to be a home-away-from-home, you’re offering your children a world full of opportunities for play, wonder, as well as cognitive, sensory, and motor skill development.
In our infant program, we focus on three basic tenets of early educational development. The first is to instill in your children a sense of warmth, safety, and security in their new environment. The second is to nurture trust between the children and caregivers by fulfilling the babies’ and older infants with the most basic needs in a timely and loving manner. The third is to help them explore their new world in a way that will encourage their ever-maturing sensory, cognitive, and motor-skill development.
ACA Parent’s Perspective
The Infant Class staff are very special to us and has been a real gem in our experience at ACA. They are always happy for the babies, and works diligently on their cognitive, social and kinesthetic development, all the while, ensuring everyone is loved and well-cared for. It shows that they come with many years of professional early-childhood experience and we couldn’t be more fortunate to have our infant child’s first school and education experience at Austin Children’s Academy!
Margaret Mathews
When it comes to helping your child feel welcome and confident in their new environment, safety is the first priority. One visit to our facilities and any concerns you may have will be put at ease. Here are just a few of the ways we keep your new born baby and our infants happy, healthy, and safe:
Our classrooms are dedicated to specific age groups. This allows us to choose only the toys that are certified safe, engaging, and developmentally sound, as well as to modify the space appropriately.
We have two large outdoor play areas, equipped to accommodate the gross motor skill needs of different age groups. These play areas are enclosed and monitored by security cameras.
ACA has strict policies and procedures when it comes to cleanliness and health issues. We require every parent to observe our focus on Infant Safety in regards to materials that are safe to be kept in the crib with a sleeping baby. Our goal is to protect every child and reduce the spread of illness.
Every teacher is trained and certified in First Aid as well as infant and child CPR.
Every classroom has at least two teachers so that there’s always someone monitoring the napping children as well as the active ones.
When it comes to developing a strong and trusting bond between child and caregiver, our teachers are experts. The daily schedule takes into account the needs of each individual child and is modified as they mature into new developmental stages. Our teachers understand the importance of interpersonal engagement in the development of young minds. A visit to the observation area of our facility will show caregivers smiling and making eye contact with gurgling infants, singing to them, playing games of peek-a-boo, and otherwise engaging with them to encourage language development and emotional bonding. Trained as keen observers, they’ll notice subtle shifts in mood that may indicate the need for a nap, a change of diaper, or a snack, and react to them to pre-empt frustration. When infants and toddlers feel as safe and loved as if they were in their own home, then they have the confidence to venture out to play and wander with joy.
My husband and I are new to the Austin area and interviewed many other infant schools in our area before deciding on ACA. We fell in love with the staff at ACA immediately and so has our son. The staff is very warm, friendly and passionate about the work they do for our children. The facility is clean and safe. Our son started when he was only 8 months old and now at 13 months has developed strong social skills and physical skills. We would recommend ACA to anyone who is considering and infant school.
Leslie Lafferty
Herein lies the advantage of the Austin Children’s Academy program over many conventional daycares. The greater Austin Children’s Academy is a large, 10,000 square foot facility with ten classrooms that focus on early childhood education through kindergarten. For those who dread introducing their children to a series of new facilities each time they “age” up through infant and nursery programs, preschool, or kindergarten, ACA offers your children the opportunity to “age up” at the same facility. But the more important advantage of the nursery program at ACA is that your children will benefit from the school’s child-centered Montessori Method of educational philosophy.
Developed over 100 years ago by Italy’s first female physician, the Montessori Method is based on child-directed learning. Montessori classrooms don’t have rows of chairs; they have wide open spaces. Teachers don’t lecture; they guide children through academic and developmental milestones using natural creativity and curiosity to your child’s advantage. The hallmarks of the method include keen observation by teachers, guided but independent learning, and developing the qualities of initiative, self-reliance, and intrinsic love of learning.
At the infant and toddler level, the quality of keen observation is the key. Teachers are trained to quickly discern when a child is hungry, sleepy, or frustrated, as well as to encourage cognitive, sensory, and motor skill development. Picking up a block is a milestone for a young baby, just as learning how to walk is for a rising toddler. Our teachers keep track of those milestones while encouraging and nurturing the ones that naturally follow. We encourage all this development through joyous play, whether it’s free play in the classroom and playground, playing games, singing, listening to stories, or engaging in art. Your child’s natural curiosity is the engine that fuels his or her development.
Finally, here at ACA we believe that communication between parents and teachers is vital to your child’s comfort and growth as well as your peace of mind. We encourage you to speak to the lead teacher long before your baby’s first day at our facility. The more information we know about your child, the better we can serve his or her ever-changing needs. Constant communication through the school year is encouraged so that we can mark the milestones your child is making at home as well as communicate the fun your child is having through his or her day.
Want to hear more about our two-to-eighteen-month program at ACA? Give us a call to schedule a tour and interview. We are confident that once you take a look at our colorful, child-centered, spacious facilities and talk to our experienced teachers, you’ll understand why we believe the Austin Children’s Academy has the best early education program in all of Cedar Park Tx.

Austin Landmarks – USA
Austin Landmarks
1. Texas Capitol
In the center of Austin stands the legislative center of Texas, the State Capitol. Opened in 1888, this historic Austin landmark is 5 meters taller than the main US Capitol in Washington, DC. The capitol is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
2. Metropolitan Park
Located on the banks of the Colorado River, this locals’ favorite park spreads over 350 acres and maintains Austin’s reputation as one of the best places to live. The park is home to some of Austin’s most popular city attractions, from the Botanical Gardens, the Sculpture Museum to the Barton Spring Pool, as well as several sports fields and plenty of open spaces to walk with lovely lawns punctuated by small groves of trees. There is also a theatre, children’s train and many small playgrounds on site. The park hosts the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival.
3. Sculpture Garden
The work of Charles Umlauf, a professor of art at the University of Texas for 40 years, blends with the local Texas landscape. Umlauf and his wife Angelina donated their property, Charles’ home and studio, along with 168 sculptures, to the City of Austin in 1985. The garden contains 59 Umlauf sculptures, mostly in bronze using the wax melting method. The collection also includes thousands of his drawings.
4. Mount Bonnell
For great views, head to Mount Bonnell in Covert Park for stunning views of the city, Lake Austin and the surrounding hills. Mount Bonnell has been designated a Texas Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
5. Blanton Museum of Art
The Blanton Museum of Art, located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin, is a must-see for any art lover and is considered one of the university’s largest museums of art. in the USA, it stores more than 21,000 works of art. His collection of Latin American art (with over 2,000 works) is one of the oldest, largest, and most complete collections in the US, with artists from Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as Central and South America.
The Blanton Museum of Art is across the street from the Bullock State Historic Site. It is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and also on Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under 12.
6. Barton Springs Pool
Located in Metropolitan Park, the pool has been a favorite bathing spot for locals and visitors for generations. Native Americans used the springs at this site for thousands of years before the arrival of European colonists. William Barton first painted an architectural bathing complex in the 1830s. The 3-acre pool, fed by underground springs, maintains a constant temperature of 26 to 28 degrees. The area around the pool features recreational lawns, bathhouses, and an educational exhibit about the history of Barton Springs, including the endangered salamander that lives in the area.
7. Museum of Texas History
was on atop the dome of the State Capitol, to a 1960s rocket control room at the Houston Space Center. Along with galleries featuring over 700 artifacts, the museum features special exhibits that reflect Texas’ diverse history. The museum also houses the largest IMAX screen in the state, as well as the Spirit of Texas Theatre, outdoor patio cafe and gift shop.
Located on the outskirts of the University of Texas on the Austin campus, across the street from the Blanton Art Museum, the museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $13 for adults, $11 for students and seniors, and $9 for children ages 4-17.
8. Austin Bats
Experts say Austin is home to the largest urban bat colony in North America. Approximately 1.5 million bats call the Ann Richards Bridge on Congress Avenue their home. Bats settled here after the reconstruction of the bridge in 1980, creating crevices perfect for bats to hide from predators. Every spring, Mexican free-tailed bats migrate north to the bridge to give birth and raise their young. During the summer, bats can be seen every evening at dusk as they fly out in search of food to rid the city of pesky insects before heading back to central Mexico in the fall. Evening kayaking at Lady Bird Lake is a great way to watch bats.
The Congress Avenue Bridge is located south of downtown Austin, between the Colorado River and Lady Bird Lake. There is a footpath on the bridge, and it is best to go to the bridge before sunset.
9. Museum of Mexican Art
The Museum of Mexican Art is dedicated to the preservation of Mexican and Latin American art and culture, including artists from Texas. It houses a permanent collection of over 5,000 contemporary works, including photographs, sculptures, arts and crafts and masks, as well as works by local artists. The museum also hosts theatrical and musical performances throughout the year.
Located along Congress Avenue downtown, just a couple of blocks south of Driskill, the Museum of Mexican Art is open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday and from 12:00 to 17:00 on Sundays. Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and $1 for children under 12.
10. Mayfield Park and Preserve
Although listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Mayfield Park and Preserve attracts tourists primarily because of its exorbitant population of peacocks (about two dozen!). Peacocks roam all over the park, keep your eyes open while walking and don’t forget to look at the trees and rooftops. The historic cottage and gardens are located on a 2 hectare parcel of land that Mary Mayfield Gutch donated to the City of Austin in 1971 years. There are many ponds and gardens to explore here. Mayfield Preserve is a 21 hectare natural landscape that hikers can access via hiking trails.

Warm and high humidity inside
It was a very cold day and the opportunity to get into the caves was very pleasing. There are 2 routes, up to an hour each, groups depart on time, you can take a plane in both. They warn that one is difficult, but it turned out to be normal, there were people who did not look like athletes. Footwear – for comfortable walking on wet floors. Food is not allowed, from drinks – only non-carbonated water is allowed. You can’t touch anything, just hold on to the railing. Due to humidity and temperature change (34 outside, about 80 inside, Fahrenheit), I did not dare to take out the camera, the phone managed. Both routes are somewhat similar, on a more difficult one in the depths of the hall of complete darkness (there is no natural, the artificial guide will turn it off, everyone is sitting on benches), interesting.

Pretty good
If you like looking at old ruins, then this is the place for you. The park brings together four missions located in the San Antonio area, in varying degrees of preservation and restoration. The visit is free, you can devote a couple of hours to this activity if you have your own transport – a car or a motorcycle.

Charming
Very beautiful cathedral. The oldest functioning Catholic cathedral in the United States. This alone will make you visit it. Despite its age, the cathedral is in excellent shape, giving the impression that it was built recently. So atypical for the states as a whole, but in beauty and interior decoration it can compete with good European samples!

Very nice place to visit, also with children. During our visit, an exhibition of tiny Lego figures was opened in the garden, from 20 thousand to more than 90 thousand in every creation. The children received cards with pictures and were happy to look for the figures. They were happy to find them and mark them on their maps. I think they will remember this trip.

the zoo is not very big, but there is something to see (you will definitely spend 2 hours). There were not many visitors in February. the pavilion with butterflies did not work. in my opinion, an interesting collection of snakes, mainly from South America, and interesting specimens of wild cats. Some birds can be viewed by entering the spacious aviary-cage.

Remains of former luxury
Personally, I liked this mission the most of the four in the San Antonio area. Probably because there is the least left here, but most of all there is confidence that what is presented is not built now, but has been preserved for a long time. If you have nothing to do, you can ride through all four missions – three hours for this activity will be enough for your eyes and ears.

Creative Expression and Movement – Action for Healthy Kids
Overview
Feelings don’t give a warning sign before they come up, so it’s important to help children create a toolbox of activities or expressive outlets to work through different feelings and emotions. Creative expression offers children an opportunity to develop important skills that support positive social emotional health including the ability to name and identify their own feelings, think critically about the world around them and practice self-regulation for positive behavior management.
Creative expression through movement also comes with the added benefit of physical activity – supporting the mind-body connection. The best part? There is no right or wrong answer! Feelings are special and specific to each and every one of us – so how we express them is, too. Use movement to bring the attention back to the body and have fun exploring feelings and emotions.
Take Action
Move to the music. Just turning on some music and allowing your body to move to how it makes you feel is a great way to get your body moving while reflecting on feelings and emotions.
Make a playlist of songs with different melodies and intensity. Encourage children to move to the music based on how it makes them feel. A slow, harmonic song might elicit feelings of calm or mellow while an upbeat, bouncy song might bring out feelings such as happy or inspired.
You can also create your own music. Use household items such as pots and pans, upside down cups, shakers made of rice in a plastic container, etc. Develop a list of feelings and emotions and create the sounds that come to mind with your very own living room band.
Interpret the sounds and sights of nature. Our surroundings can influence how we feel including the sounds of nature. It also offers an outlet for creative thinking and self-reflection.
Step outside and listen to the surrounding sounds and look around at what you see.
Draw a picture or write down a list. Think of what feelings or emotions come to mind with each of these sounds and how you might express those feelings through movement.
Snow is quietly falling – It feels calm and sleepy – I move with long stretches and quiet steps.
Cars are zooming along the street of a busy city – It feels energetic – I spin and move quickly.
Thunder rumbles – It feels angry – I dance with big movements and loud stomps.
The sun is shining brightly – It feels happy and excited – I move with hops and jumps.
Dance through the rainbow. Colors can be interpreted to mean different things and represent different emotions. Create a rainbow ribbon and dance through each color and an associated feeling.
Create a rainbow ribbon stick or ring by using different colored ribbon or up-cycling strips of old t-shirts.
Encourage children to think about each color of the rainbow (you can also add in neutrals like white, grey and brown) and feelings that come to mind.
Orange is bright and energizing – I feel excited and hopeful.
Green is calming – I feel relaxed.
Grey is hard to explain – I feel mellow.
With their rainbow stick or ring, invite children to dance through each color and express an associated feeling. At the end, ask them to dance to all of the colors of the rainbow they feel today together. This can be done to music or with children speaking their thoughts out loud.
Tips
With whatever activity you choose, create space to reflect and “debrief” afterwards. As children explore feelings and emotions of their own, it’s important to give them an outlet to talk through them when needed. You can also do this through journaling or arts and crafts.
Reinforce positive ways to express feelings – whether through movement, creative play or quite mindfulness activities. Encouraging children to express their feelings in ways that feel the most supportive to them, helps them to develop a routine or “go to” strategy when feelings and emotions are running high.
Avoid discrediting how children connect feelings in some of these activities. Children may interpret sounds, music or colors to mean different things to them. Avoid leading questions that influence them to answer one way or another and instead invite them to share more around their connections and seek to understand their perspective.
Model creative expression by sharing in the activity with children. Children may feel more comfortable to express feelings and emotions if they see the adults around them doing the same. It also affirms that there is no right or wrong answer and invites them to express a little more freely.
Always be sure to invite not request. Sharing in feeling and emotions can be sensitive and take time for children. Building trust and allowing the pace to unfold at a speed that makes the most sense for them is key to creating an open line of communication.
Creative Expressions and Activities for Preschoolers
Most parents have the misconception that education is limited to only reading and writing. But the real goal of education is to hone your child’s skills and encourage their curiosity.
Every child has different needs. Every child learns at his or her own pace. Some kids are creative and artistic, while others are astute observers.
With one child, it’s hard to keep up with their energy and with the other, you wonder if they’re even in the room.
Encouraging your child to communicate using movements, words, and visuals is essential for helping them grow and develop. Here are a few creative expressions and activities every parent should teach their kids:
Dancing
There are various types of dances, and enrolling your child for dance lessons is an excellent way to help them grow. They’ll become more flexible, learn to balance themselves, and improve their focus.
Dancing will help your child learn about discipline. It’ll also help them use their energy positively. It’ll help boost their self-esteem and they’ll learn to express themselves confidently.
Drawing
Unleash the little artist within your child with art lessons. If your child has a creative side to them that’s begging to be let out, don’t hesitate.
Art itself is a form of expression. Let your child’s imagination thrive by letting them grab those paints and colors. It’ll bring their world to life and you’ll also get to learn what type of person your child is.
This is important because it will:
Develop their motor skills
Encourage visual analysis
Boost self-confidence
Improve concentration
Establish hand-eye coordination
Teach creative problem-solving techniques
Building
Given your child is above the age of 5, allow them to play with Legos (still supervise them).
This will bring out the innovator in them. It’ll also help hone their creative problem-solving skills and encourage their critical thinking abilities. They’ll learn to solve problems based on logic and not just emotions.
If your child is sensitive and emotional, it’s a good way to help them de-stress. You can also give them a cardboard box and let their imagination run wild.
Join in on the fun and you can improve your relationship with your child!
Ask them if they think the box is a spaceship, boat, or a car. You can even look up a few cardboard crafts videos on YouTube to help encourage your child’s creative side.
From a miniature wardrobe to a bookshelf, there are no limitations!
Puzzles and Word Games
Puzzles will help develop your child’s critical thinking skills and show them there is more than one way of solving problems. It will help think on the spot and this way, they’ll learn to remain calm during emergencies and develop mental resilience.
Words games will help increase your child’s vocabulary; they’ll learn new words and hone their reading skills.
Enroll Your Child into a Pre-School Program
A pre-school program will help your child learn to express themselves creatively. Your child will master the ability to adapt to their surroundings at their own pace. They will be taught different ways to express themselves and explore their creative side.
If you’re looking for a daycare center in Orlando, we offer an exceptional preschool program that uses a hands-on approach to help your child grow. With a safe learning environment, we will ensure that your child gets the love and encouragement they deserve to thrive.

Formation of creative self-expression in preschool children in music classes
music director of the highest qualification category
MKDOU “Kindergarten No. 510 of the combined type “Kalinka”, Novosibirsk
All parents dream that their baby will grow up to be a bright and extraordinary personality, a real creator of his life. However, the dream is separated from reality by more than one step, and in order for it to come true, parents must actively participate in the creative development of their child. Before the makings turn into talents and abilities, a lot of time will pass.
The current stage of the development of society is characterized by the formation of a new type of education, the meaning-forming factor of which is the idea of educating a person of culture, a “person-creator”, “a person-creator”, capable of a positive and constructive approach to solving urgent life problems.
Preschool childhood is a period during which the formation of a personality takes place, its main personal qualities, character and mental characteristics are laid. The high natural activity of children ensures their rapid development.
Self-expression is a way that helps a child to express himself to others, to realize himself. Under the self-expression of preschool children understand the age-related manifestation of independence in creative activity. Monitoring the musical development of preschoolers shows that the development of creative self-expression abilities is often a “problem area” in the work of a music director. In this regard, the problem of studying the features of the development of children’s creative self-expression, the development of a system for the formation of their musical and rhythmic feeling, motor sphere, creative activity, which is one of the components in the development of the creative abilities of a preschooler, is important.
Taking into account the age characteristics of the mental, physical and speech development of children at preschool age, it is possible to single out some ways of a child’s self-expression. At a younger preschool age, imagination begins to develop, which is especially clearly manifested in the game, when some objects act as substitutes for others. We form the same ways of self-expression in music lessons. For example, listening to music in the upper register, light, moving, children transform into “bunnies”. Or listening to music in the lower register, children transform into “bears”. Relationships between children are conditioned by norms and rules and are manifested in play activities.
An analysis of psychological and pedagogical research has shown that at preschool age there is an integral system of objective and subjective prerequisites for the successful development of children’s creative self-expression in various directions and with the help of various means. And a special role is given to the activity of the artistic and aesthetic cycle, since, by its specificity, it is designed to create conditions for the development of children’s creative self-expression, to contribute to the disclosure of their creative potential, to solve the problems of developing creative abilities.
Self-expression of preschool children is reflex-impulsive in nature, due to the nature of the child. In children of middle preschool age, role-playing interactions appear in play activities. In music lessons, children can independently come up with a short fairy tale on a given topic, their own simple dance movements, draw a picture for a piece of music. All this characterizes the manifestation of independence of children and the desire for self-expression. During this period, children show situational-imitative self-expression, and it depends on the amount of knowledge, information, as well as on the conditions in which the child finds himself.
Self-expression at this age acquires new qualitative characteristics, the child can express emerging images in various ways: in movement, in feelings and emotions, in images and signs. Self-expression therapy is a current and growing area of psychological assistance. The most popular at the present stage are art therapy and dance-movement therapy.
A child of senior preschool age enters the stage of improvisational and effective self-expression.
Based on this, we can conclude that each child goes through stages of self-expression: in the younger preschool age, the reflex-impulsive nature of self-expression, in the middle preschool age, situational-imitative self-expression, the older preschooler enters the stage of improvisational-effective self-expression, in children of the preparatory group, improvisation is activated but-figurative self-expression.
Thus, we can say that preschool age is sensitive for the development of the foundations of a child’s creative self-expression.

In our work we present the experience of studying the role of the family in the development of children’s creative abilities in fine arts. The study was conducted in kindergarten No. 176 “Squirrel” ANO DO “Planet of Childhood” Lada “, Tolyatti, Samara Region. The study involved children of middle groups and their parents. Fine arts include the emotional and intellectual aspects of a child’s life. V.A. Sukhomlinsky wrote: “During childhood, mental processes should be as closely connected as possible with living, bright, visual objects of the surrounding world … The emotional richness of perception is the spiritual charge of children’s creativity. ” The world in which the baby lives and grows up largely depends on what feelings we, adults, bring into it.
How often and not always rightfully educating and significant for a preschooler adults, with their worries about material comfort, forget about creating elementary conditions for the development and creative self-expression of children .
We carried out our work on studying the actual problem in two stages, within one month. At the first stage – diagnostic – a survey of parents was conducted on the topic: “Conditions for the child’s creative self-expression in art.” It turned out that not all parents of children aged 3-5 understand the meaning of the question asked. 65% of the respondents answered: “We do not interfere with the child to draw, so we create conditions for creativity.” To the question: “Do you visit exhibitions, museums with your children?”, “Do you discuss books, TV shows, films that you have read with your children?” the majority answered, “Unfortunately, no. ” At the same time, 87% of the parents surveyed note that they have mutual understanding, common activities and hobbies with their children. The results of the survey of parents once again confirm the relevance of the stated problem. The results of further experimental work showed that already in the middle preschool age it is possible to teach children to express their emotions and feelings through independent creative activity: drawing, appliqué, modeling, manual labor, which means teaching them to think creatively, to be an empathic, responsive person, capable of reflecting their feelings. It was concluded that the participation of kindergarten teachers alone is not enough, it is necessary to involve parents in solving the problem.
At the second stage of the study, we offered the parents of pupils to create conditions in the family for independent activities of children to complete a creative task on the topic: “My mood”. Previously, a consultation was held with parents on the topic: “How to create the right conditions for creative self-expression of children in fine arts. ” The work performed provided an opportunity to analyze the role relationships in the family, as well as the attitude of the parents themselves to the creative task. 76% of parents did the work together with their children: dad painted a Christmas tree, and the child decorated it with toys; mother drew a fish, and the child drew algae around it, etc. Part of the work (14%) was done by the parents themselves, without the participation of the child. 10% of parents create the necessary conditions for the child’s creativity, but at the same time they do not directly participate, the children work independently.
Later, using the results of the creative joint activities of children and parents, we conducted a cycle of combined classes in order to form in children an idea of role relationships in the family and family values; created conditions for creativity, encouraging the child’s need for self-expression through creativity, as a result of which an exhibition of drawings was designed, dedicated to the mood of people.

John Heinz: A Western Pennsylvania Legacy
H. J. and Sarah Heinz Howard and Elizabeth Rust Heinz H. J. “Jack” Heinz II and Joan Diehl Clifford and Vira Heinz
H. J. Heinz was born in 1844 in the Birmingham section of Pittsburgh, the son of Anna
Margaretha and John Henry Heinz. His father ran a brickyard in Sharpsburg; part of
that property was used as a household garden by his mother.
At the age of 14, Henry was already tending his own section of the garden and was developing
a list of customers. He attended Duff’s Mercantile College and thoroughly familiarized
himself with good, sound business practices. Soon, he began peddling prepared horseradish.
By 1869, Heinz was ready to formalize his business and did so by entering a partnership
with L. Clarence Noble and forming Heinz & Noble. Their first product was, of course,
horseradish, sold in clear bottles to prove that, unlike some foods, it was totally unadulterated.
In the same year, he married Sarah Sloan Young, known as Sallie, who was a first-generation
American, her family hailing from County Down, Ireland, where they owned a mill. Together they
had four children: Irene, Howard, Clarence and Clifford.
Disaster struck in 1875. Tight money, a national financial panic and the purchase of
huge stocks of cucumbers and cabbage led to the bankruptcy of the young company. Despite
seemingly impossible odds, Henry regrouped and forged ahead with the emotional and modest
financial support of Sarah. He vowed to repay every debt, which he considered moral
obligations, and did just that. By February 1876, he joined his brother John and cousin
Frederick and launched the F. & J. Heinz Company.
By 1888, Heinz bought out his partners, established a relationship with retailers
in England and embarked on construction of a factory on the Allegheny River that would
embody the best of his business acumen and his Christian principles. His benevolent management
style made the H. J. Heinz company a pioneer in labor relations. Workers were well
treated and afforded comforts and conveniences including free manicures and rooftop gardens
for both men and women.
In 1894, the greatest tragedy of Henry’s life occurred—the death of his dearly beloved
wife, Sallie. She died from double pneumonia, leaving a broken husband and bereaved children behind.
Despite his profound loss, Heinz worked tirelessly against a large segment of the processed
food industry to gain passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act in 1906. It inaugurated the modern
food industry and guaranteed purity to all consumers.
Years of hard work and innovation had made Henry John Heinz and his products internationally
known and respected. In 1919, in the year of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Heinz &
Noble, H. J. Heinz died of pneumonia at his home, Greenlawn, in Pittsburgh. He had instilled a sense
of duty and obligation in his children that would bear fruit for generations to come.
Howard Covode Heinz was born in 1877 to H. J. Heinz and his wife, Sallie. Raised with
an ethic of hard work and community obligation, he worked in the company’s factories
and salting stations around the country as a youth. Howard graduated from Yale in 1900 and
began his executive career.
In 1906, Howard married Elizabeth Granger Rust from Saginaw, Michigan. Elizabeth’s
family, the Rusts, were involved in the lumber business in Michigan. As a young woman,
she attended the fashionable Ogontz School for Young Ladies near Philadelphia, and she was an avid bridge
player. In 1908, their son H. J. “Jack” Heinz II was born, followed in 1913 by another son
named Rust.
During Howard’s tenure as president of the Heinz Company, World War I broke out and he
would come to have a role in the aftermath of the hostilities. Beginning in 1917, Howard
served as United States Food Administrator for Pennsylvania. At the end of the war, in
December 1918, Herbert Hoover, director of food relief, cabled Howard and asked him to serve
as Director-General of American Relief Administration for Southeast Europe and Asia Minor.
Howard willingly accepted and departed for Constantinople, where he would remain until his
father’s death in May of 1919 called him home. During his time away, Elizabeth, or “Betty,” as
Howard called her, wrote frequently and was very supportive.
The decades of the 1920s and 1930s saw Howard at the top of his game. The ’20s saw expansions
to thousands of acres, 69 branch offices and nearly 1400 salesmen. Howard controlled the
finances and traveled extensively to oversee this vast international empire.
With the onset of the Great Depression, Howard’s exceptional business skills, exercised during
the ’20s, paid off. The company had no debt and was actually able to expand its markets and
its workforce at a time when other companies were closing their doors. In fact, it was during
this time that son Jack was off to Australia to set up a new factory.
Also during the 1930s, Jack and Rust were completing their educations and beginning their
own careers. Jack would apprentice himself at the company, and Rust began designing automobiles
in Pasadena, California. He designed the Comet, a delivery vehicle for the Heinz Company, and
the Phantom Corsair, a futuristic vehicle with the ultimate in safety features. The car was
even featured in the movie The Young in Heart with Paulette Goddard and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.
Ironically, there was only ever one Corsair made, as Rust lost his life in an automobile
accident in July of 1939.
As the 1940s approached, war loomed on the horizon for Europe and tragedy again befell
the Heinz family. This time, it would have to be H. J. Heinz II who would see the company through.
Howard died in early 1941 after suffering a stroke following a medical procedure in Philadelphia.
With his will, the Howard Heinz Endowment was established.
Elizabeth Heinz continued to live in their Morewood Heights home in Pittsburgh until her
death in 1952.
Born in 1908, Jack Heinz would live to see two world wars, the Great Depression, the vast
international expansion of the Heinz Company and a renaissance in the city of Pittsburgh.
He was educated at Choate, Yale and Cambridge, but, like his father before him, he worked
summers in the pickling and salting stations for the company. He then joined the sales force
in England and grew to have a happy and profitable association with the UK.
In 1935, Jack married Joan Diehl, a pioneering aviatrix, and the mother of their only child,
H. J. Heinz III. They established their home at Rosemont Farm in the Fox Chapel suburb of
Pittsburgh. While Jack was active in the business world, Joan was an industrial designer and a
fine artist. They divorced in 1942, shortly after Jack became president of the company following
the death of his father.
His task to lead the company at a time of war was a daunting one. He made five trips to England
during the war once when the company’s Harlesden plant was bombed and on several occasions at the
request of the British government. He was tapped to assist England with its food shortages and
also toured the Netherlands to assist that nation with food aid. Like his father after World War I,
Jack was instrumental in assuaging the dire food situation in war-ravaged Europe.
The company under his leadership actively participated in the war effort. The main plant
in Pittsburgh was retooled for a time to manufacture glider planes for the Department of the
Army and, overseas, the Harlesden plant developed innovative strategies to utilize what food was
available in England to its best advantage.
As a civic leader, Jack served as chairman of the United War Fund and routinely gave speeches
with the themes of food conservation, rationing and food allocations. After the war, he served
as chairman of the Community Chest, which later became the United Way, criscrossing the country,
encouraging people to give and give generously.
But Jack Heinz was not just the president of an ever-growing company. He was an avid skier and
an art collector, he traveled extensively all over the world and he was a thoughtful and dedicated
philanthropist. In 1953, he married Drue Maher, who shared these interests and also had her own areas
in which she worked, often acting as a theatrical angel. The arts in general, and literature and
writers in particular, received great attention. She founded Ecco Press in 1971 and the Drue
Heinz Literature Prize in Short Fiction, which is awarded annually by the University of Pittsburgh
Press. It was as a philanthropist that Jack Heinz would make significant contributions to the city
of Pittsburgh. Following the war, he teamed up with Richard King Mellon and Mayor David Lawrence
for Renaissance I—a plan to revitalize Pittsburgh and its image from old 19th-century ways to
modernity. Smoke-control ordinances went into effect, ending years of pitch blackness at noon
caused by soot and smoke from the steel mills.
Through his chairmanship of the Howard Heinz Endowment, Jack Heinz undertook the rebirth of the
Lowe’s Penn Theater, originally a movie theater. He worked to convert it to a home for the
Pittsburgh Symphony. The building, known now as Heinz Hall, has served as a model for urban
redevelopment.
Despite advancing years and encroaching illness, Jack continued his dynamic leadership at the
H. J. Heinz Company. Among the more notable achievements was the development of a baby food
factory in mainland China. He was personally on hand for the opening, where the Chinese, who have
a respect for lineage, were pleased to see that there was actually a Heinz behind the Heinz Company name.
In 1987, Jack Heinz succumbed to cancer, passing the reins of the company outside the family
for the first time and the leadership of the family’s philanthropy to his son, H. John Heinz III.
Drue Heinz continues her philanthropy in the United States and Europe. Recently, she underwrote
part of a major renovation of the National Portrait Gallery in London and was instrumental in
the establishment of the Drue Heinz Study Center at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Center.

The youngest of H. J. Heinz’s sons was born in 1883 and grew up in the shadow of three older
siblings. In 1905, he entered Lafayette and eventually moved to a career with the H. J. Heinz Company’s
Pittsburgh works. He married Vira Ingham of Pittsburgh in 1932 and died a scant three years later
in Palm Springs.
Vira would never remarry, but she would embark on a career of philanthropy that would go on for
more than four decades. She worked in the homefront war effort during World War II and went on
to participate in the founding of the Civic Light Opera, serve on the boards of the Pittsburgh Opera
and Symphony Society and become the first woman trustee of Carnegie Mellon University.
Her devotion to Pittsburgh and the region she called home continued even after her death in 1983.
As part of her will, she established the Vira I. Heinz Endowment, which continues her generous work
in giving back to Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.

History of Heinz – KraftHeinz FoodService
1844
Company Founder
The history of Heinz began with one person. Henry John Heinz – the future founder of the company and the inventor of the legendary ketchup recipe – was born in the fall of 1844 near Pittsburgh. From early childhood, the boy began to help his mother by working in the family garden. From the age of 15, he was already cultivating his own small plot, and from the grown vegetables, Henry’s mother taught him how to make pickles and marinades according to traditional family recipes.
Henry Heinz’s favorite motto is “Do ordinary things extraordinarily well, and this is the key to success.” And, judging by the recognition that both he and his world-famous ketchup received, Henry Heinz turned out to be absolutely right.

1869
Transparent jar as a sign of trust
In 1869, Henry John Heinz, together with his friend Clarence Nobel, created a company for the production of vegetable preparations. Their first product was grated horseradish according to Henry’s mother’s recipe. But not only the recipe of the product won the hearts of consumers. The partners took an innovative step for their time – Heinz & Noble vegetable preparations were packed in transparent glass bottles, which made it possible for customers to see the product they were purchasing. The vegetable preparations of young entrepreneurs were liked by people, and the company quickly gained momentum. “You should only offer customers what you would buy yourself,” said Henry John. “Personally, that’s what I do.”

1876
The same “Heinz” ketchup
1876 is considered the year of creation of the legendary Heinz ketchup. It cannot be said that Henry Heinz had the idea of inventing the original tomato sauce. But it was this person who achieved an excellent combination of taste and aroma of the ingredients included in ketchup, and then was able to competently serve it to consumers. The secret of the taste of Heinz ketchup is in ripe tomatoes and natural ingredients. The company still follows this tradition, making ketchup without the addition of any artificial colors, preservatives and GMOs. Henry Heinz was very proud of his ketchup, which he lovingly grew from selected tomatoes. We continue his work, and years later, the branded glass bottle “Heinz” remains the invariable mark of quality for the whole world.

“Our market is the whole world”
In 1886, Henry Heinz, taking samples of products with him, went to London to meet the purchasing manager of the Fortnum Mason department store, a supplier to the British royal court. Henry was very pleased with the results of the meeting. England became the first foreign market for Henry Heinz products. Ten years later, sales there had grown so much that Heinz opened an office in London near the Tower, and in 1905 built a factory in the British city of Peckham. Thus began the victorious march of Heinz ketchup around the world.

1906
Food Control Act
One of the main beliefs of Henry Heinz concerned the main principle of the production of his products: “the best preservative is purity.” That is why his enterprises continued to operate successfully after 19In 06, Roosevelt passed a new law on the control of food production, and many unscrupulous factories were closed.
Moreover, the widely publicized campaign “for the cleanliness of the rows” led to the fact that only the word “Heinz” was henceforth associated in the minds of housewives with naturalness, quality and safety.
“Cleanliness is the best preservative” is the guiding principle behind the production of Heinz products.
1936
“Grown, not just produced”
Heinz ketchup is made from 100% natural ingredients of the highest quality. However, the main ingredient that determines the unique and recognizable taste of Heinz ketchup is a special variety of tomatoes, thanks to which the ketchup is so thick and tasty.
Since 1936, a special division of Heinz Seed has been breeding tomato seeds. Traditional breeding helps to naturally concentrate in tomatoes the characteristics necessary for ketchup: the pulp of the fruit is very fleshy with a low moisture content, which provides Heinz ketchup with the necessary thickness without the addition of starch and other thickeners. In fact, today the production of Heinz ketchup begins with seeds. Thus, the motto “Grown, not just produced” is not a metaphor, but the very reality.

Biggest deal in history
In 2013, the Brazilian investment fund 3G Capital, together with the Berkshire Hahaway fund, owned by the famous billionaire Warren Buffett, announced their intention to acquire Heinz. The Heinz Board of Directors unanimously approved the proposed terms, and the deal, valued at $28 billion, became one of the largest in the history of the food industry. “Heinz has strong growth potential given the company’s high product quality standards, continued innovation, excellent management and the great taste of its products,” said Buffett, 82, who heads Berkshire Hathaway.

Formation of moral and ethical guidelines by means of additional education of artistic orientation
Currently, in the era of geostrategic upheavals, social, technological, cultural and ethical changes, the system of values is being modified. The loss of values is becoming a global problem. The very existence of world civilization depends on the humanitarian culture of the individual as a backbone element of society. An important role in the formation of a new image of a person who is able to reproduce and increase the content of humanitarian culture belongs to the education system. In the concept of the development of additional education, the personalization of additional education is defined as the leading trend in the development of education in the 21st century. At the present stage of development of additional education, the process of formation of moral and ethical qualities in students is of particular relevance. The mechanism for transferring the rules of etiquette from generation to generation is a custom, rite, ritual. The moral and ethical culture of our people is rich and has specific features and characteristics. It is no coincidence that 2022 in the Russian Federation has been declared the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. High spirituality permeated the traditions of both Russian and other peoples, introducing students to the system of images, language, forms of festive life, one of which was the celebration of name days.
The birthday remained unnoticed, many even forgot about it, but the day of the Angel, or name day, was celebrated by everyone who could afford it.
Birthdays in Russia began to be celebrated in the 19th century only by nobles and wealthy merchants. And only since the 20th century, the tradition has spread among the people. In the modern world, the name day and the day of the angel gradually began to lose their common features. Birthday today is a celebration that unites children and adults. Surprises, sweet and creative gifts, fun games are expected from the holiday. In order for the holiday to be exciting and unforgettable, adults show creativity and ingenuity.
Who, if not teachers of additional education, is characterized by creativity and ingenuity, curiosity and emotionality, so we continued our acquaintance with the values of traditional culture and turned to the favorite genre of children and adults – a fairy tale, or rather, a Dagestan fairy tale. Dagestan fairy tales are works of high culture of folk thinking, the richest source of folk wisdom and talent. In folk culture, national rituals, songs, dances, intertwined into one “rainbow”, retain their originality, originality and originality, and at the same time become even brighter.
The question arose before children and adults: what can two different creative associations have in common? how to make simple performances become a link in the concert program; so that parents and children feel and realize the significance of their activities; and absolutely “aerobatics” – they were proud of what they do! So, we turned to a fairy tale, or rather, we watched the 1959 Soviet cartoon “Birthday”, directed by Valentina and Zinaida Brumberg. In one Dagestan village, watching his grandfather write down a lamb born in the house book, the little boy Murat was surprised not to find himself in this book. It turns out that it has been customary since ancient times that a person’s birthday is not considered the day when he is born powerless, like a lamb, but the day when he deserves his birth. The connecting link that united the anniversaries of two creative associations – the Workshop of the master of ceremonies and the artistic word “Applause” and the association of folk singing “Romashka” was found. Students of the associations “proved” to the audience that they deserved their birth, told about signs and how birthdays are celebrated in different countries. One of the signs is that congratulations sound on this holiday, which attract good luck for the whole year!
The novelty of such an integrated approach is manifested in the unification of the capabilities of two creative groups – folk singing and an association for the study of entertainer through the celebration of the birthday of the groups. An important fact is that our experience served as a stimulus for uniting – a community of teachers, children and parents, of various orientations.
Even 100 years ago, folk traditions and customs were passed down from generation to generation. Today, they are partially lost, and, accordingly, many spiritual landmarks have been lost. Without a careful attitude to traditions, the younger generation will not be able to preserve and, moreover, pass on the experience of the past to future generations. Therefore, the organization of such events loved by children as birthdays is relevant, especially for the formation of moral and ethical guidelines and cultural traditions. Children emotionally and with lively interest get acquainted with the traditions and signs of different peoples.
Concert activity is a powerful stimulus for the development and improvement of the child’s skills, which allows self-determination, self-assertion in the world of hobbies. This is the main pedagogical meaning – one can develop only in a creative atmosphere and environment, and a holiday is a platform for the emergence of an emotional upsurge, enthusiasm for knowledge, a sense of inspiration and the formation of general cultural value orientations. Children with great pleasure reveal their abilities and talents, especially to their parents and close relatives.
The pedagogical expediency of holding such events is in the transfer of knowledge and skills of traditional culture to children. On the basis of tradition, not only is the entire experience of practical activity consolidated, but also the norms of social relations (family, community, labor, gender and age), the entire way of life are regulated. Therefore, the priority task is to carefully preserve and develop the traditions of both the Russian and other peoples. The holiday united children and adults, motivated all participants in the educational process to make creativity a necessity. After all, now, more than ever, Russia needs active, creative people!
One of the main goals of the events is to help teachers, educators in creating conditions for the spiritual and moral education of children by means of traditional culture. The organization and holding of events of such a plan is based on the principles:
– collective creativity and living continuity;
– equal opportunities – the law of equality of all participants;
– moral priorities – the subordination of all activities to the values of traditional culture;
– the relationship of various types of art.
The success of any event depends on how accurately it is thought out and planned. Preliminary work is very important – at the invitation of parents, teachers, class teachers, social partners; creation of posters, logos; selection of works for the exhibition of arts and crafts. Attracting fellow artists to decorate the stage, parents can be the initiators of creating gifts for the children.
To conduct the event, it is necessary to pay attention to the following methodological recommendations:
– organize the work of the creative team to prepare the holiday;
– to distribute responsibilities for the preparation and holding of the holiday: creating a poster, advertising campaign, preparing numbers, working with social partners (invitation), making gifts (birthday cakes), working with the media, issuing letters of thanks, selecting musical accompaniment;
– the holiday will be a great success if the program is compiled according to the principle of growth: closer to the finale, put on more dynamic, bright numbers, as the audience loves variety and entertainment;
– an end to the work done can be put only after the analysis of the activity has been carried out;
– it is obligatory to place an article about the event on the website of the institution, in the media.
The results of the activity show that purposeful work on raising children through familiarization with traditional folk culture contributes to the creation of a favorable “internal environment” of the individual, making the child’s personality more responsive to pedagogical influence (the emergence of emotional uplift, joy, moral and aesthetic response). The degree of development of the moral and ethical principles of a person characterizes his humane culture. The personal development of students depends on the degree of formation of humanistic culture.
The event is over, and the memory of it motivates both children and adults to do everything to deserve their birth! The duty of the modern teacher is to teach to honor traditions; help children learn the history of their country, broaden their horizons and erudition.
Russia has always surprised and continues to surprise the world with its spirituality, its culture, which has developed a powerful root system over the centuries – folk art! You will say, and what is the novelty of the form of organization of the educational process? What is the inculcation of a high cultural and artistic taste? And where does the improvement of principles? And we want to say in the words of Henry John Heinz: “Doing ordinary things extraordinarily well is the shortest path to success.
