Apache2 Debian Default Page: It works

Apache2 Debian Default Page

This is the default welcome page used to test the correct
operation of the Apache2 server after installation on Debian systems.
If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at
this site is working properly. You should replace this file (located at
/var/www/html/index.html) before continuing to operate your HTTP server.

If you are a normal user of this web site and don’t know what this page is
about, this probably means that the site is currently unavailable due to
maintenance.
If the problem persists, please contact the site’s administrator.

Debian’s Apache2 default configuration is different from the
upstream default configuration, and split into several files optimized for
interaction with Debian tools. The configuration system is
fully documented in
/usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian.gz
. Refer to this for the full
documentation. Documentation for the web server itself can be
found by accessing the manual if the apache2-doc
package was installed on this server.

The configuration layout for an Apache2 web server installation on Debian systems is as follows:

/etc/apache2/
|-- apache2.conf
| `-- ports.conf
|-- mods-enabled
| |-- *.load
| `-- *.conf
|-- conf-enabled
| `-- *.conf
|-- sites-enabled
| `-- *.conf

  • apache2.conf is the main configuration
file. It puts the pieces together by including all remaining configuration
files when starting up the web server.
  • ports.conf is always included from the
main configuration file. It is used to determine the listening ports for
incoming connections, and this file can be customized anytime.
  • Configuration files in the mods-enabled/,
    conf-enabled/ and sites-enabled/ directories contain
particular configuration snippets which manage modules, global configuration
fragments, or virtual host configurations, respectively.
  • They are activated by symlinking available
    configuration files from their respective
*-available/ counterparts. These should be managed
    by using our helpers

    a2enmod,
    a2dismod,

    a2ensite,
    a2dissite,

    and

    a2enconf,
    a2disconf
. See their respective man pages for detailed information.

  • The binary is called apache2. Due to the use of
environment variables, in the default configuration, apache2 needs to be
    started/stopped with /etc/init.d/apache2 or apache2ctl.
Calling /usr/bin/apache2 directly will not work with the
    default configuration.

By default, Debian does not allow access through the web browser to
any file apart of those located in /var/www,
public_html
directories (when enabled) and /usr/share (for web
applications). If your site is using a web document root
located elsewhere (such as in /srv) you may need to whitelist your
document root directory in /etc/apache2/apache2. conf.

The default Debian document root is /var/www/html. You
can make your own virtual hosts under /var/www. This is different
to previous releases which provides better security out of the box.

Please use the reportbug tool to report bugs in the
Apache2 package with Debian. However, check existing bug reports before reporting a new bug.

Please report bugs specific to modules (such as PHP and others)
to respective packages, not to the web server itself.

Humphrey Bogart Anniversary

Humphrey Bogart AnniversaryReport a technical issue

Humphrey Bogart Anniversary

“You got in my way boy! Should I kiss you or hit you?” Marlene Dietrich asked Humphrey Bogart when they met. They weren’t limited to just one kiss. He was a cynic and a drunkard. But no one wore hats so elegantly and no one burned women with his eyes like that. Humphrey Bogart was old fashioned. If you fell in love, you got married. All wives are actresses. The third, Mayo Meto, drank even more than Humphrey. She was so jealous that she set fire to the house several times, and once stabbed Bogart with a knife. The couple was called the “Warring Bogarts”. It was Mayo who spread rumors about Humphrey’s affair with her partner in the legendary Casablanca, Ingrid Bergman. To refute this nonsense, Humphrey and Ingrid swore that they could not stand each other. And they didn’t lie.

A 19-year-old debutante turned out to be more dangerous than the famous Ingrid Bergman. Humphrey met Lauren Bacall on the set of another of his iconic films, To Have and Have Not. Lauren was so afraid of the 45-year-old Bogart that she looked at him frowningly, her head bowed low. But then this look made her a sex symbol. They got married a year later. Friends called their house “The Rat Hole”. The most noisy parties were held there. Lauren gave Humphrey two children. They lived together for 12 years – until Bogart’s death. He died at 57 from cancer – an addiction to cigarettes and alcohol affected. Lauren outlived her beloved by 57 years. She called Humphrey Bogart the best man to walk the earth.

But, most often, the surname could be the name of the activity that the whole family is engaged in.
Usually, the knowledge and skills of such crafts were passed from father to son, from grandfather to grandson. At the same time, the surname was also transmitted – as a memory of the main activity of the whole family,

These surnames are very common, but there are many other very interesting and unusual surnames, the meaning of which you will learn from our articles.

According to tradition, children inherit their father’s surname. The reason for this was that ancient times, when a woman left her father’s house, she completely passed
under the authority of her husband’s family and accordingly took his surname. Children born in this marriage inherited the father’s surname. But many centuries have passed, and traditions have become less severe

You are one of those few people who believe that they can not follow fashion, despite their age and status in society due to their sense of style. You are very sensitive to your body and take care of it, thanks to this you constantly look fresh and young, others noticing this, try to imitate you and in this way you influence their preferences.

Your freedom is very important to you. You do not like boundaries that limit you, constrain your actions and prevent you from using your full potential. If you are faced with the choice of stable well-being, but to be a canary in a cage, or to dispose of yourself completely, you will always choose the latter option. When fate tries to diversify your life, you very easily decide to abandon the stable, in favor of the new and unknown. Being passive is not for you. It is easy for you to go through life, to adapt to any circumstances. To be constantly in motion, this is what your soul requires. Just remember that “a hundred acquaintances” will not be able to replace one true friend. Thanks to your desire to change everything, this also applies to relationships, this can lead to loneliness, which will be hard to come to terms with. You need to maintain a balance between the desire for change and strong relationships with people.

Marriage for you is first of all a partnership where you are on an equal footing with your partner. You are characterized by affection and exaltation of your love, but in no case will you tolerate encroachments on your freedom in any manifestation. An imbalance in your family life can be introduced if this union becomes burdensome for you, in order for the marriage to last as long as possible and be stronger, your partner should focus on marital duties and this will lead to a happy relationship.

You like to plan everything, go according to plan and expect high results. But there are a number of problems with this, because due to excessive planning, if something does not go according to plan, it immediately throws you off balance. You are impulsive and therefore it is important to always control the situation. Others will have to get used to your features in order to go hand in hand with you through life. You are ready for any work, but only if you consider it timely and extremely necessary. You do not like being pressured, it causes you indignation and a sharp dislike for the person from whom it comes. You do not like it when your opinion is not taken into account and decisions are made for you, this causes rejection in you. You need to be in control of all your actions. Reliability in marriage, reliable business, being yourself under any circumstances is important for you. You will give all your strength, energy, your talent and, most importantly, time to your business.

How to Enroll in our Montessori Programs

Our programs provide a supportive learning environment for every child. Here’s how you can learn if our school is the right choice for you and your family.

  1. RSVP for one of our upcoming Open Houses held each spring, or
  2. Call or email our office to talk to an educator/staff, schedule a tour or request more information.
  3. Complete an admissions application that will be provided once we meet!

Our toddler classroom offers a small group Montessori experience to children aged 15 months – 3 years, with a 1 to 5 adult/child ratio. The program is offered 9:00 AM – 12:00, Monday through Friday, with the option of choosing a 2, 3 or 5 day program. Additionally, all day childcare is available from 7:30 AM-9:00 AM and 12:00 PM-5:30 PM.

The toddler environment is carefully prepared to meet the young child’s special needs in a peaceful, loving and secure space. The intimate setting provides a shared space for the children to practice togetherness, helping them to build trust in relationships. Toddlers are given opportunities to work in the development of language skills, sensorial experiences, art, music, and daily living skills.

Another aspect of our toddler education is to support and inspire our parents. We believe that Montessori is an education for life, and consider parent involvement to be a vital part of our understanding.

Our primary classroom is for children who are three years or older and fully potty trained. This program is 5 days a week. Half-Day and Full-Day options are available.

For half-days, the hours are 9:00 AM – 12:00 noon, Monday – Friday. For children attend the full day, the hours are 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Thursday and 9:00 – noon on Fridays.

Additionally, all day Montessori childcare is available from 7:30 AM-9:00 AM and 12:00 PM-5:30 PM. For those children attending for the full day, a rest time will be offered after lunch.

During the morning the children are in multi-age groups with children 3 to 6 years old. The primary classroom is a calm atmosphere of exploration and joy. The younger children are guided by the teacher and by observing and working with older students. Children learn to work at a task from beginning to end and develop their self-discipline and capacity for self-directed learning. Respect and consideration for others develop as children grow within the Montessori environment. In the Montessori classroom, children work at their own level and pace.

For children that are 5 years old, we offer an Extended Day Kindergarten program. The Kindergarten program hours are Monday through Thursday 9 AM until 3 PM; 9 AM – 12 noon Friday. During the afternoons the children work as a group without the younger preschoolers on more academically challenging and abstract material. There is an emphasis on developing social/emotional skills in readiness for first grade. Peer influences and the ideas of fairness and appropriate behavior are all addressed.

Our Extended Day Kindergarten program encourages the child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn by engaging him/her in purposeful, developmentally appropriate and self-directed activities. Guides carefully design activities allowing our Kindergarteners to joyfully learn to care for themselves, their peers, and for their class environment.

The Montessori In The Woods Summer Camp is designed to be consistent with our Montessori school year program, in a relaxed, more outdoor-oriented atmosphere. Campers enjoy developmentally appropriate projects and activities within the indoor and outdoor classrooms. Our Summer Camp is for children who are enrolled for upcoming school year.

Our youngest campers (15 months – 3 years) enjoy lots of fun and water activities in their own outdoor environment. The children treasure their own play area, taking walks in the woods and trails, and picking flowers and vegetables in the gardens. Toddlers who have been enrolled in MITW continue to follow their familiar daily schedule started during the school year, which allows them to be secure and independent in their own movement and choices. The toddler summer program offers warmth, love, independence and continuity.

Our primary camp (3-6 year olds) will feature a different theme each week. The goal of our summer program is to offer a balanced combination of Montessori education and theme based fun activities. Children will enjoy the comfort of familiar Montessori classroom routines in combination with outdoor activities, arts and crafts, music and movement, as well as games and sports. We spend as much time outside as possible, with woods, water and nature play.

Available for all students before and after school from 7:30AM-5:30PM Monday-Friday, except for school holidays and breaks.

We call this childcare “All Day Montessori” because the children are with Montessori trained guides all day, and in their Montessori environments no matter what time they arrive or stay until.

Summer School has 4 subjects every day:

The main thing that children should learn at school is to read, count and write.
Therefore, the subject “BUSINESS” includes daily training in one of three skills: counting / reading / writing.

Skills

Knowledge

We develop the child’s brain and the main skill is the ability to learn. Daily workouts for the development of logic, memory, attention and thinking from effective training special agents!

Forget about boring old lessons and assignments. The subject “Knowledge” was created in order to repeat with children the material of the school curriculum in subjects: mathematics, Russian, English in an interesting and cheerful way.

I want a consultation with the Summer School manager

Subject “Body”

The task of this subject is to form good habits over the summer, and if they have already been formed, to support them. Remember the rules of safe behavior at home and on the street.

Every day is good for health: do a warm-up, brush your teeth. On this subject, the children and I will deal with health and mark daily progress with the help of special checklists.

The subject’s lessons are the same for all classes.
Every two weeks, children will add a new good habit and record progress.

Example of the lesson of the subject “Body”

Example of the lesson of the subject “Business”

Subject “Business” three basic skills: increase reading speed, work with handwriting, we train oral counting.

After all, these skills are the most important in learning!

At each lesson, children need to read (both in mathematics and geography). Every day, children need to count and, of course, write.

The tasks of this subject are of different difficulty levels depending on the age (grade) of the children.

Subject “Skills”

Daily tasks include exercises to develop memory, thinking and logic, speech, mindfulness, perseverance, effective learning techniques: retelling, reading, writing and creative tasks.

These lessons are a good prevention of learning difficulties and the development of a situation of success in the child.

In addition, these lessons will help develop brain activity and, as a result, will make it easier to cope with learning difficulties.

– Russian language
– Mathematics

Daily practice will allow children to maintain and increase their knowledge of the school curriculum.

The tasks of this subject are of different levels of complexity depending on the age (grade) of the children.

The son is not afraid to make mistakes!

Thank you for a great course! My son enjoys studying every summer and it helps him a lot at school. Feel more confident and not afraid to make mistakes! I am so glad!

The child studied by himself!

The child followed your video lessons with great desire. At a convenient time for us. All materials are presented in a very easy to understand form. We will definitely continue training next summer.

The child is happy!

In addition to Yoshkola – a great option! The child is happy, always looking forward to the lessons! I like that I do it completely on my own, I don’t get involved at all. Excellent result and a lot of free time

My daughter studied every day!

Nastya liked the classes very much. Until the 4th grade, she taught her herself, in the summer it was especially difficult to force her to study. But at the Summer School I like the form of presentation, and most importantly, my daughter studies with pleasure and without additional reminders!

Learning to memorize information easily without cramming

It is difficult for a youngster to remember the numbers of his parents, new English vocabulary or a poem. In such cases, mnemonics can help.

Mnemonics are techniques for quickly memorizing information and increasing memory capacity. Children will learn to invent images for memorizing poems, foreign words, terms and formulas. For example, you can learn the English word “pillow” through the Russian verb “to saw”.

Effective Reading Intensive: Learning to read meaningfully and highlight the main thing

Some children already know how to read but do not understand or remember what they read. It is difficult for a child to retell paragraphs, he does not understand tasks in mathematics well and because of this he cannot solve them. With each class of information there is more and more information and it is important to be able to work with it.

At the intensive, children will improve their reading technique, work on articulation, concentration and breathing. They will learn to recognize true and false facts, as well as irony and sarcasm in a written text. They will make a “memory card” to remember what they read.

    Research Triangle

Research Triangle , or simply Triangle , are common nicknames for the metropolitan area in the Piedmont region of the U.S. state of North Carolina in the United States, assigned to the cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, and home to three major cities. research universities: North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, respectively. The name “Triangle” originated in 1950s with the creation of the Triangle Research Park, located between the three anchor cities, which is the largest research park in the United States and home to numerous high-tech companies. [1]

The nine-county region officially named by the Office of Management and Budget Raleigh-Durham-Carey Combined Statistical Area includes the Raleigh-Carey and Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Areas and the Henderson Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area has a population of 2,106,463 as of the 2020 census, making it the second largest combined statistical area in North Carolina after Charlotte. [2] The Raleigh-Durham TV market includes a wider area of 24 counties including Fayetteville, North Carolina, with a population of 2,726,000. [3] Most of the Triangle is part of North Carolina’s first, second, fourth, ninth, and thirteenth congressional districts. [4]

The region is sometimes confused with the Piedmont Triad, which is the region of North Carolina adjacent to and immediately west of the Triangle, comprising Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, among other cities.

Depending on which definition of the Research Triangle region is used, a region is comprised of three to 16 districts. The three main counties of Wake, Durham and Orange are home to the three research universities for which the area is named.

As of September 14, 2018, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has defined the Raleigh-Durham-Carey Combined Statistical Area as consisting of two metropolitan and one micropolitan statistical area. [5] These three statistical areas are in turn defined as consisting of a total of nine counties. MSA and their constituent districts:

Until September 2018, the OMB used the name Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area and included several additional counties. [6] The Dunn Micropolitan Statistical Area (Harnett County) and the Sanford Micropolitan Statistical Area (Lee County) were moved to the Fayetteville-Sanford-Lumberton Combined Statistical Area, while the Oxford (Granville County) Micropolitan Statistical Area was merged into the area Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area.

John Heinz: A Western Pennsylvania Legacy

    H. J. and Sarah Heinz
    Howard and Elizabeth Rust Heinz
    H. J. “Jack” Heinz II and Joan Diehl
    Clifford and Vira Heinz

    H. J. Heinz was born in 1844 in the Birmingham section of Pittsburgh, the son of Anna
Margaretha and John Henry Heinz. His father ran a brickyard in Sharpsburg; part of
that property was used as a household garden by his mother.

At the age of 14, Henry was already tending his own section of the garden and was developing
a list of customers. He attended Duff’s Mercantile College and thoroughly familiarized
himself with good, sound business practices. Soon, he began peddling prepared horseradish.

By 1869, Heinz was ready to formalize his business and did so by entering a partnership
with L. Clarence Noble and forming Heinz & Noble. Their first product was, of course,
horseradish, sold in clear bottles to prove that, unlike some foods, it was totally unadulterated.
In the same year, he married Sarah Sloan Young, known as Sallie, who was a first-generation
American, her family hailing from County Down, Ireland, where they owned a mill. Together they
had four children: Irene, Howard, Clarence and Clifford.

Disaster struck in 1875. Tight money, a national financial panic and the purchase of
huge stocks of cucumbers and cabbage led to the bankruptcy of the young company. Despite
seemingly impossible odds, Henry regrouped and forged ahead with the emotional and modest
financial support of Sarah. He vowed to repay every debt, which he considered moral
obligations, and did just that. By February 1876, he joined his brother John and cousin
Frederick and launched the F. & J. Heinz Company.

By 1888, Heinz bought out his partners, established a relationship with retailers
in England and embarked on construction of a factory on the Allegheny River that would
embody the best of his business acumen and his Christian principles. His benevolent management
style made the H. J. Heinz company a pioneer in labor relations. Workers were well
treated and afforded comforts and conveniences including free manicures and rooftop gardens
    for both men and women.

In 1894, the greatest tragedy of Henry’s life occurred—the death of his dearly beloved
wife, Sallie. She died from double pneumonia, leaving a broken husband and bereaved children behind.

Despite his profound loss, Heinz worked tirelessly against a large segment of the processed
food industry to gain passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act in 1906. It inaugurated the modern
food industry and guaranteed purity to all consumers.

Years of hard work and innovation had made Henry John Heinz and his products internationally
known and respected. In 1919, in the year of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Heinz &
Noble, H. J. Heinz died of pneumonia at his home, Greenlawn, in Pittsburgh. He had instilled a sense
of duty and obligation in his children that would bear fruit for generations to come.

Howard Covode Heinz was born in 1877 to H. J. Heinz and his wife, Sallie. Raised with
an ethic of hard work and community obligation, he worked in the company’s factories
and salting stations around the country as a youth. Howard graduated from Yale in 1900 and
    began his executive career.

In 1906, Howard married Elizabeth Granger Rust from Saginaw, Michigan. Elizabeth’s
family, the Rusts, were involved in the lumber business in Michigan. As a young woman,
she attended the fashionable Ogontz School for Young Ladies near Philadelphia, and she was an avid bridge
player. In 1908, their son H. J. “Jack” Heinz II was born, followed in 1913 by another son
    named Rust.

During Howard’s tenure as president of the Heinz Company, World War I broke out and he
would come to have a role in the aftermath of the hostilities. Beginning in 1917, Howard
served as United States Food Administrator for Pennsylvania. At the end of the war, in
December 1918, Herbert Hoover, director of food relief, cabled Howard and asked him to serve
as Director-General of American Relief Administration for Southeast Europe and Asia Minor.
Howard willingly accepted and departed for Constantinople, where he would remain until his
father’s death in May of 1919 called him home. During his time away, Elizabeth, or “Betty,” as
Howard called her, wrote frequently and was very supportive.

The decades of the 1920s and 1930s saw Howard at the top of his game. The ’20s saw expansions
to thousands of acres, 69 branch offices and nearly 1400 salesmen. Howard controlled the
finances and traveled extensively to oversee this vast international empire.

With the onset of the Great Depression, Howard’s exceptional business skills, exercised during
the ’20s, paid off. The company had no debt and was actually able to expand its markets and
its workforce at a time when other companies were closing their doors. In fact, it was during
this time that son Jack was off to Australia to set up a new factory.

Also during the 1930s, Jack and Rust were completing their educations and beginning their
own careers. Jack would apprentice himself at the company, and Rust began designing automobiles
in Pasadena, California. He designed the Comet, a delivery vehicle for the Heinz Company, and
the Phantom Corsair, a futuristic vehicle with the ultimate in safety features. The car was
even featured in the movie The Young in Heart with Paulette Goddard and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.
Ironically, there was only ever one Corsair made, as Rust lost his life in an automobile
    accident in July of 1939.

As the 1940s approached, war loomed on the horizon for Europe and tragedy again befell
the Heinz family. This time, it would have to be H. J. Heinz II who would see the company through.
Howard died in early 1941 after suffering a stroke following a medical procedure in Philadelphia.
With his will, the Howard Heinz Endowment was established.

Elizabeth Heinz continued to live in their Morewood Heights home in Pittsburgh until her
    death in 1952.

Born in 1908, Jack Heinz would live to see two world wars, the Great Depression, the vast
international expansion of the Heinz Company and a renaissance in the city of Pittsburgh.

He was educated at Choate, Yale and Cambridge, but, like his father before him, he worked
summers in the pickling and salting stations for the company. He then joined the sales force
in England and grew to have a happy and profitable association with the UK.

In 1935, Jack married Joan Diehl, a pioneering aviatrix, and the mother of their only child,
    H. J. Heinz III. They established their home at Rosemont Farm in the Fox Chapel suburb of
Pittsburgh. While Jack was active in the business world, Joan was an industrial designer and a
fine artist. They divorced in 1942, shortly after Jack became president of the company following
    the death of his father.

His task to lead the company at a time of war was a daunting one. He made five trips to England
during the war once when the company’s Harlesden plant was bombed and on several occasions at the
request of the British government. He was tapped to assist England with its food shortages and
also toured the Netherlands to assist that nation with food aid. Like his father after World War I,
Jack was instrumental in assuaging the dire food situation in war-ravaged Europe.

The company under his leadership actively participated in the war effort. The main plant
in Pittsburgh was retooled for a time to manufacture glider planes for the Department of the
Army and, overseas, the Harlesden plant developed innovative strategies to utilize what food was
available in England to its best advantage.

As a civic leader, Jack served as chairman of the United War Fund and routinely gave speeches
with the themes of food conservation, rationing and food allocations. After the war, he served
as chairman of the Community Chest, which later became the United Way, criscrossing the country,
encouraging people to give and give generously.

But Jack Heinz was not just the president of an ever-growing company. He was an avid skier and
an art collector, he traveled extensively all over the world and he was a thoughtful and dedicated
philanthropist. In 1953, he married Drue Maher, who shared these interests and also had her own areas
in which she worked, often acting as a theatrical angel. The arts in general, and literature and
writers in particular, received great attention. She founded Ecco Press in 1971 and the Drue
Heinz Literature Prize in Short Fiction, which is awarded annually by the University of Pittsburgh
Press. It was as a philanthropist that Jack Heinz would make significant contributions to the city
of Pittsburgh. Following the war, he teamed up with Richard King Mellon and Mayor David Lawrence
for Renaissance I—a plan to revitalize Pittsburgh and its image from old 19th-century ways to
modernity. Smoke-control ordinances went into effect, ending years of pitch blackness at noon
caused by soot and smoke from the steel mills.

Through his chairmanship of the Howard Heinz Endowment, Jack Heinz undertook the rebirth of the
Lowe’s Penn Theater, originally a movie theater. He worked to convert it to a home for the
Pittsburgh Symphony. The building, known now as Heinz Hall, has served as a model for urban
    redevelopment.

Despite advancing years and encroaching illness, Jack continued his dynamic leadership at the
    H. J. Heinz Company. Among the more notable achievements was the development of a baby food
factory in mainland China. He was personally on hand for the opening, where the Chinese, who have
a respect for lineage, were pleased to see that there was actually a Heinz behind the Heinz Company name.

In 1987, Jack Heinz succumbed to cancer, passing the reins of the company outside the family
for the first time and the leadership of the family’s philanthropy to his son, H. John Heinz III.

Drue Heinz continues her philanthropy in the United States and Europe. Recently, she underwrote
part of a major renovation of the National Portrait Gallery in London and was instrumental in
the establishment of the Drue Heinz Study Center at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Center.

The youngest of H. J. Heinz’s sons was born in 1883 and grew up in the shadow of three older
siblings. In 1905, he entered Lafayette and eventually moved to a career with the H. J. Heinz Company’s
Pittsburgh works. He married Vira Ingham of Pittsburgh in 1932 and died a scant three years later
    in Palm Springs.

Vira would never remarry, but she would embark on a career of philanthropy that would go on for
more than four decades. She worked in the homefront war effort during World War II and went on
to participate in the founding of the Civic Light Opera, serve on the boards of the Pittsburgh Opera
and Symphony Society and become the first woman trustee of Carnegie Mellon University.

Her devotion to Pittsburgh and the region she called home continued even after her death in 1983.
As part of her will, she established the Vira I. Heinz Endowment, which continues her generous work
in giving back to Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.

History of Heinz – KraftHeinz FoodService

    1844

    Company Founder

The history of Heinz began with one person. Henry John Heinz – the future founder of the company and the inventor of the legendary ketchup recipe – was born in the fall of 1844 near Pittsburgh. From early childhood, the boy began to help his mother by working in the family garden. From the age of 15, he was already cultivating his own small plot, and from the grown vegetables, Henry’s mother taught him how to make pickles and marinades according to traditional family recipes.

Henry Heinz’s favorite motto is “Do ordinary things extraordinarily well, and this is the key to success.” And, judging by the recognition that both he and his world-famous ketchup received, Henry Heinz turned out to be absolutely right.

“Do ordinary things extraordinarily well, and this is the key to success”

    1869

Transparent jar as a sign of trust

In 1869, Henry John Heinz, together with his friend Clarence Nobel, created a company for the production of vegetable preparations. Their first product was grated horseradish according to Henry’s mother’s recipe. But not only the recipe of the product won the hearts of consumers. The partners took an innovative step for their time – Heinz & Noble vegetable preparations were packed in transparent glass bottles, which made it possible for customers to see the product they were purchasing. The vegetable preparations of young entrepreneurs were liked by people, and the company quickly gained momentum. “You should only offer customers what you would buy yourself,” said Henry John. “Personally, that’s what I do.”

“You should only offer customers what you would buy yourself,” said Henry John. “Personally, I do that”

    1876

    The same “Heinz” ketchup

1876 is considered the year of creation of the legendary Heinz ketchup. It cannot be said that Henry Heinz had the idea of inventing the original tomato sauce. But it was this person who achieved an excellent combination of taste and aroma of the ingredients included in ketchup, and then was able to competently serve it to consumers. The secret of the taste of Heinz ketchup is in ripe tomatoes and natural ingredients. The company still follows this tradition, making ketchup without the addition of any artificial colors, preservatives and GMOs. Henry Heinz was very proud of his ketchup, which he lovingly grew from selected tomatoes. We continue his work, and years later, the branded glass bottle “Heinz” remains the invariable mark of quality for the whole world.

The secret of Heinz ketchup taste is in ripe tomatoes and natural ingredients.

    1886

“Our market is the whole world”

In 1886, Henry Heinz, taking samples of products with him, went to London to meet the purchasing manager of the Fortnum Mason department store, a supplier to the British royal court. Henry was very pleased with the results of the meeting. England became the first foreign market for Henry Heinz products. Ten years later, sales there had grown so much that Heinz opened an office in London near the Tower, and in 1905 built a factory in the British city of Peckham. Thus began the victorious march of Heinz ketchup around the world.

England became the first foreign market for Henry Heinz products.

    1906

    Food Control Act

One of the main beliefs of Henry Heinz concerned the main principle of the production of his products: “the best preservative is purity.” That is why his enterprises continued to operate successfully after 19In 06, Roosevelt passed a new law on the control of food production, and many unscrupulous factories were closed.

Moreover, the widely publicized campaign “for the cleanliness of the rows” led to the fact that only the word “Heinz” was henceforth associated in the minds of housewives with naturalness, quality and safety.

“Cleanliness is the best preservative” is the guiding principle behind the production of Heinz products.

    1936

    “Grown, not just produced”

Heinz ketchup is made from 100% natural ingredients of the highest quality. However, the main ingredient that determines the unique and recognizable taste of Heinz ketchup is a special variety of tomatoes, thanks to which the ketchup is so thick and tasty.

Since 1936, a special division of Heinz Seed has been breeding tomato seeds. Traditional breeding helps to naturally concentrate in tomatoes the characteristics necessary for ketchup: the pulp of the fruit is very fleshy with a low moisture content, which provides Heinz ketchup with the necessary thickness without the addition of starch and other thickeners. In fact, today the production of Heinz ketchup begins with seeds. Thus, the motto “Grown, not just produced” is not a metaphor, but the very reality.

“Grown, not just produced” is not a metaphor, but the very reality.

    2013

    Biggest deal in history

In 2013, the Brazilian investment fund 3G Capital, together with the Berkshire Hahaway fund, owned by the famous billionaire Warren Buffett, announced their intention to acquire Heinz. The Heinz Board of Directors unanimously approved the proposed terms, and the deal, valued at $28 billion, became one of the largest in the history of the food industry. “Heinz has strong growth potential given the company’s high product quality standards, continued innovation, excellent management and the great taste of its products,” said Buffett, 82, who heads Berkshire Hathaway.

“Heinz has strong growth potential!” – Considers the 82-year-old Buffett, who heads Berkshire Hahaway.

    2014

    145 years of success

In 2014, Heinz celebrated its 145th anniversary. Over the years, the famous “Heinz” ketchup has won the hearts of millions of people, for whom the name “Heinz” has become synonymous with the word “ketchup”. In more than 50 countries around the world, our ketchup occupies a leading position in the ketchup market.

In addition to the legendary ketchup, today Heinz offers a wide range of high quality food products, among which the main ones are: sauces, mayonnaises, canned vegetables, ready meals and baby food.

In more than 50 countries around the world, our ketchup is a leader in the ketchup market.

    2015

    Global merger

2015 was the year of the birth of the new KraftHeinz Company, created as a result of the merger of two of the most famous companies in the food industry: Kraft Foods and Heinz.

As a result, a powerful international group has been created that combines the best talents and brands of the two companies. With beloved brands such as Kraft, Heinz, Oscar Mayer, Ore-Ida and Philadelphia, KraftHeinz is now the fifth largest food company in the world.

In Russia, the first acquisition of the new company was the Ivanovo Baby Food Plant (Ivanovo), which specializes in the production of baby food products under the Umnitsa and Sami s Usami trademarks.

2015 marked the birth of the new Kraft Heinz Company

Formation of moral and ethical guidelines by means of additional education of artistic orientation

Currently, in the era of geostrategic upheavals, social, technological, cultural and ethical changes, the system of values is being modified. The loss of values is becoming a global problem. The very existence of world civilization depends on the humanitarian culture of the individual as a backbone element of society. An important role in the formation of a new image of a person who is able to reproduce and increase the content of humanitarian culture belongs to the education system. In the concept of the development of additional education, the personalization of additional education is defined as the leading trend in the development of education in the 21st century. At the present stage of development of additional education, the process of formation of moral and ethical qualities in students is of particular relevance. The mechanism for transferring the rules of etiquette from generation to generation is a custom, rite, ritual. The moral and ethical culture of our people is rich and has specific features and characteristics. It is no coincidence that 2022 in the Russian Federation has been declared the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. High spirituality permeated the traditions of both Russian and other peoples, introducing students to the system of images, language, forms of festive life, one of which was the celebration of name days.

The birthday remained unnoticed, many even forgot about it, but the day of the Angel, or name day, was celebrated by everyone who could afford it.

Birthdays in Russia began to be celebrated in the 19th century only by nobles and wealthy merchants. And only since the 20th century, the tradition has spread among the people. In the modern world, the name day and the day of the angel gradually began to lose their common features. Birthday today is a celebration that unites children and adults. Surprises, sweet and creative gifts, fun games are expected from the holiday. In order for the holiday to be exciting and unforgettable, adults show creativity and ingenuity.

Who, if not teachers of additional education, is characterized by creativity and ingenuity, curiosity and emotionality, so we continued our acquaintance with the values of traditional culture and turned to the favorite genre of children and adults – a fairy tale, or rather, a Dagestan fairy tale. Dagestan fairy tales are works of high culture of folk thinking, the richest source of folk wisdom and talent. In folk culture, national rituals, songs, dances, intertwined into one “rainbow”, retain their originality, originality and originality, and at the same time become even brighter.

The question arose before children and adults: what can two different creative associations have in common? how to make simple performances become a link in the concert program; so that parents and children feel and realize the significance of their activities; and absolutely “aerobatics” – they were proud of what they do! So, we turned to a fairy tale, or rather, we watched the 1959 Soviet cartoon “Birthday”, directed by Valentina and Zinaida Brumberg. In one Dagestan village, watching his grandfather write down a lamb born in the house book, the little boy Murat was surprised not to find himself in this book. It turns out that it has been customary since ancient times that a person’s birthday is not considered the day when he is born powerless, like a lamb, but the day when he deserves his birth. The connecting link that united the anniversaries of two creative associations – the Workshop of the master of ceremonies and the artistic word “Applause” and the association of folk singing “Romashka” was found. Students of the associations “proved” to the audience that they deserved their birth, told about signs and how birthdays are celebrated in different countries. One of the signs is that congratulations sound on this holiday, which attract good luck for the whole year!

The novelty of such an integrated approach is manifested in the unification of the capabilities of two creative groups – folk singing and an association for the study of entertainer through the celebration of the birthday of the groups. An important fact is that our experience served as a stimulus for uniting – a community of teachers, children and parents, of various orientations.

Even 100 years ago, folk traditions and customs were passed down from generation to generation. Today, they are partially lost, and, accordingly, many spiritual landmarks have been lost. Without a careful attitude to traditions, the younger generation will not be able to preserve and, moreover, pass on the experience of the past to future generations. Therefore, the organization of such events loved by children as birthdays is relevant, especially for the formation of moral and ethical guidelines and cultural traditions. Children emotionally and with lively interest get acquainted with the traditions and signs of different peoples.

Concert activity is a powerful stimulus for the development and improvement of the child’s skills, which allows self-determination, self-assertion in the world of hobbies. This is the main pedagogical meaning – one can develop only in a creative atmosphere and environment, and a holiday is a platform for the emergence of an emotional upsurge, enthusiasm for knowledge, a sense of inspiration and the formation of general cultural value orientations. Children with great pleasure reveal their abilities and talents, especially to their parents and close relatives.

The pedagogical expediency of holding such events is in the transfer of knowledge and skills of traditional culture to children. On the basis of tradition, not only is the entire experience of practical activity consolidated, but also the norms of social relations (family, community, labor, gender and age), the entire way of life are regulated. Therefore, the priority task is to carefully preserve and develop the traditions of both the Russian and other peoples. The holiday united children and adults, motivated all participants in the educational process to make creativity a necessity. After all, now, more than ever, Russia needs active, creative people!

One of the main goals of the events is to help teachers, educators in creating conditions for the spiritual and moral education of children by means of traditional culture. The organization and holding of events of such a plan is based on the principles:

    – collective creativity and living continuity;

    – equal opportunities – the law of equality of all participants;

    – moral priorities – the subordination of all activities to the values of traditional culture;

    – the relationship of various types of art.

The success of any event depends on how accurately it is thought out and planned. Preliminary work is very important – at the invitation of parents, teachers, class teachers, social partners; creation of posters, logos; selection of works for the exhibition of arts and crafts. Attracting fellow artists to decorate the stage, parents can be the initiators of creating gifts for the children.

To conduct the event, it is necessary to pay attention to the following methodological recommendations:

    – organize the work of the creative team to prepare the holiday;

    – to distribute responsibilities for the preparation and holding of the holiday: creating a poster, advertising campaign, preparing numbers, working with social partners (invitation), making gifts (birthday cakes), working with the media, issuing letters of thanks, selecting musical accompaniment;

    – the holiday will be a great success if the program is compiled according to the principle of growth: closer to the finale, put on more dynamic, bright numbers, as the audience loves variety and entertainment;

    – an end to the work done can be put only after the analysis of the activity has been carried out;

    – it is obligatory to place an article about the event on the website of the institution, in the media.

The results of the activity show that purposeful work on raising children through familiarization with traditional folk culture contributes to the creation of a favorable “internal environment” of the individual, making the child’s personality more responsive to pedagogical influence (the emergence of emotional uplift, joy, moral and aesthetic response). The degree of development of the moral and ethical principles of a person characterizes his humane culture. The personal development of students depends on the degree of formation of humanistic culture.

The event is over, and the memory of it motivates both children and adults to do everything to deserve their birth! The duty of the modern teacher is to teach to honor traditions; help children learn the history of their country, broaden their horizons and erudition.

Russia has always surprised and continues to surprise the world with its spirituality, its culture, which has developed a powerful root system over the centuries – folk art! You will say, and what is the novelty of the form of organization of the educational process? What is the inculcation of a high cultural and artistic taste? And where does the improvement of principles? And we want to say in the words of Henry John Heinz: “Doing ordinary things extraordinarily well is the shortest path to success.

    Classroom Environment

We believe our Center environment must be clean, safe and well planned.  Our teaching staff is responsible for ensuring this.  Your child will feel safe and secure in our clean and comfortable classrooms.  Our child size furniture and equipment help your child develop self reliance in taking care of his or her personal needs.  Our Center offers block play, housekeeping, dramatic play, reading, quiet play, science, art and manipulative for exploration and problem solving.

    Classroom Transitions

Criteria including chronological age, social and emotional development and self care skills have been established for each classroom. When your child is ready for an older group, you will be notified as to when your child can be expected to change rooms.

    Lesson Plans & Daily Notes

The teacher in each classroom will post weekly lesson plans that provide information on activities and the skills developed through these activities. Daily notes are provided for all children who are infants, toddlers, two years of age, three years of age, and four years of age. This will inform you of your child’s individual activities and anything special that may have occurred.

    Our Mission

    WHAT’S OUR GOAL

We are sensitive to a child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs.  We provide developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning and help children enjoy successful experiences.  We believe in providing a physical environment that is save, clean, healthy and oriented to children.  Classrooms are arranged to offer challenging play and learning.  We provide valuable social skills that students need to acquire for future scholastic development. We believe in positive methods of discipline.   We establish consistent, age-appropriate limits to help children function.  Our programs are designed to develop in children a sense of independence and personal responsibility.

We believe that honesty and sound work ethics are valuable assets that each staff member should possess.  We believe every member of our team has valuable skills that contribute to our combined success.  Each member has a positive impact on each child that they are responsible for by providing a nurturing environment which includes mutual respect for one another. We offer a school-oriented environment.  We believe that quality childcare and education are important to our clients.  We strive to create mutual respect between parents, teachers, and children.  We encourage daily communication between parents and Study Hall Learning Center staff members.  Our doors are always open to parents.

The acceptance of applications for participation in the Russian stage of the American TOBY Awards

    has started July 26, 2017

The Organizing Committee of the PROESTATE Forum is accepting applications for participation in the Russian stage of the international TOBY Awards in the field of commercial real estate management. The award is organized by the American Association of Homeowners and Building Managers BOMA International.

TOBY Awards can be nominated for office and shopping centers, industrial, historical, medical and government buildings, as well as suburban business parks. A prerequisite for the nominees is that the object must be in operation for at least three years. It is necessary to download and submit an application before August 15 on the official page of the award.

An international board of experts in the field of commercial real estate management evaluates the declared properties. Evaluation criteria for buildings include technical characteristics, interior finishes, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, emergency preparedness, degree of impact of the project on society, quality of interaction with tenants, level of competence of employees, waste management and air quality in the building.

The winners of the Russian stage of the Award get the opportunity to first present the project in Moscow at the XI International Real Estate Investment Forum PROESTATE, and then at the BOMA Every Building Conference and Expo International Forum on June 23-26, 2018 in San Antonio (Texas, USA).

    – collective creativity and living continuity;

    – equal opportunities – the law of equality of all participants;

    – moral priorities – the subordination of all activities to the values of traditional culture;

    – organize the work of the creative team to prepare the holiday;

    – to distribute responsibilities for the preparation and holding of the holiday: creating a poster, advertising campaign, preparing numbers, working with social partners (invitation), making gifts (birthday cakes), working with the media, issuing letters of thanks, selecting musical accompaniment;

    – the holiday will be a great success if the program is compiled according to the principle of growth: closer to the finale, put on more dynamic, bright numbers, as the audience loves variety and entertainment;

    – an end to the work done can be put only after the analysis of the activity has been carried out;

According to the new law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, a child who is educated in a family is not included in the contingent of an educational institution.

Teachers who work in classes where a child is enrolled in family education do not receive payment for this child. О

According to the new law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, a child who receives education in a family is not included in the contingent of an educational institution. Teachers who work in classes where a child is enrolled in family education do not receive payment for this child. However, an intermediate and final certification is carried out with this child. How should the school pay the teacher in this case? What type of payment is this?

At the federal level, there are no specific rules governing the payment to teachers for conducting intermediate and final attestation of a child in family education. So, in accordance with paragraph 5 of the Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated November 15, 2013 No. NT-1139/08 “On the organization of education in the family form”, the founder of an educational institution can determine the standard costs for the provision of public services for the implementation of a general educational program in the form of family education, covering the costs of conducting intermediate and state final certification. Unfortunately, you did not indicate in which region you live and therefore we do not know if your region has a normative definition of the cost of providing a public service for the implementation of a general education program in the form of family education.

At the same time, there are federal regulations stipulating that teachers must be paid for conducting intermediate and final assessments of a child who is in family education.

In accordance with Part 2 of Art. 99 of Federal Law N 273-FZ, the standard costs for the provision of public services in the field of education are determined for each level of education in accordance with federal state educational standards, for each type and focus (profile) of educational programs, taking into account the forms of education, as well as taking into account other features of the organization and implementation of educational activities provided for by the specified Federal Law (for various categories of students).

Let’s turn to the standard of basic general education, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated December 17, 2010. N1897. According to Clause 23: The financial and economic conditions for the implementation of the main educational program of basic general education should, among other things, provide state guarantees of the rights of citizens to receive free publicly available basic general education and reflect the structure and amount of expenses necessary for the implementation of the main educational program of basic general education, as well as the mechanism for their formation.

At the same time, the Constitution of the Russian Federation guarantees the general availability and free of charge of preschool, basic general and secondary vocational education in state or municipal educational institutions and enterprises and supports various forms of education and self-education (Article 43).

Therefore, the state should provide free attestation to students in the form of family education and financially provide for this, that is, including pay for the work of teachers.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated August 30, 2013 N 1015 “On Approval of the Procedure for Organization and Implementation of Educational Activities in Basic General Education Programs – Educational Programs of Primary General, Basic General and Secondary General Education”, persons mastering an educational program in the form of family education or self-education while passing an intermediate and state final certificate As external students, students enjoy the academic rights of students in accordance with the relevant educational program.

Thus, during the assessment period, students in the form of family education are equal to other students in an educational institution.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated December 22, 2014 N 1601 (as amended on June 29, 2016) “On the length of working hours (norms of hours of pedagogical work for the wage rate) of pedagogical workers and on the procedure for determining the teaching load of pedagogical workers, stipulated in the employment contract”, the working hours of pedagogical workers are determined on the basis of the norm of hours of pedagogical work for the wage rate (clause 1.). In an employment contract with an employee, the employer must indicate the number of hours of pedagogical work for the wage rate, as well as the conditions for paying compensation and incentive payments (Article 57 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

Therefore, if the assessment of a child studying in the form of family education is carried out together with the assessment of other students and the number of hours of work does not increase, then this assessment is not subject to additional payment. If the certification of a student in the form of family education is carried out separately, then the hours spent by the teacher should be taken into account when calculating wages. If, according to the employment contract concluded between the employee and the employer, they are included in the norm of hours for the wage rate, then they must be taken into account in calculating the wage rate. If they are not included in this norm, then they should be included in wages as compensation payments for overtime work (Article 99 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated November 15, 2013 No. NT-1139/08 “On the organization of education in the family form”, an educational organization must adopt an appropriate local act regulating the procedure for organizing and passing intermediate and state final certification, including external students. At the same time, the above local act must be available for free familiarization, including on the website of the educational organization in the information and telecommunication network Internet.

Thus, you should see if your region has established a normative definition of costs for the provision of public services for the implementation of a general education program in the form of family education, as well as clarify the provisions of the employment contract and local acts of the educational organization, perhaps they provide specific answers to your questions. If there are no rules in them regulating the financial support for attestation of students in family education and if the employer refuses to pay you compensation payments, you can contact:

    1. To the trade union
    2. To the commission on labor disputes within three months from the date of the violated right
    3. To the federal labor inspectorate
    4. To court.

Please note that the deadline for filing a lawsuit in connection with a violation of your right by an employer is 3 months from the moment you learned or should have known about such a violation. At the same time, the appeal to the above authorities does not interrupt the course of the term.

Kindergarten details for paying for services through Sberbank online

In order for parents to pay for the services of a kindergarten or other preschool institution, it is often necessary to resort to the use of remote payment methods, for example, Sberbank online. Other systems are also used to make a payment if they are clients of another bank, for example, Post Bank.

    Kindergarten details

Meanwhile, in order for the payment for kindergarten services to reach its addressee, you need to know the details:

    1. Settlement account;
    2. OKTMO;
    3. Bic of the beneficiary’s bank;
    4. BIN;
    5. CBC.
    6. The child’s special personal account number can also be used.

How to pay for kindergarten through Sberbank online

In order to pay for services through Sberbank online, you need:

    • Log in to your system account;
    • Go to the “services and translations” tab;
    • Find the organization and services you need in the list;
    • Enter payment details.

[info_border pre_border_color=”red” width=”100%” text_align=”left” hex_border_color=”” hex_text_color=””]Please note that if a kindergarten is on the list, then most of the payment details will be entered automatically, if not, or you are doing it for the first time, you will need to use the available details (TIN, OKATO) to find it using the search bar.[/info_border]

We also recommend that you read the article on payment for kindergarten services in more detail here. It describes the main methods and mechanisms for quickly making payments for kindergarten services using only the child’s individual account number, as well as the CCC.

    [info_border pre_border_color=”red” width=”100%” text_align=”left” hex_border_color=”” hex_text_color=””]Additional information:

    • MTS payment by bonuses;

    [/info_border]

If you read the reviews that parents leave on using this Sberbank service, we can conclude that it is not yet implemented quite conveniently for the average user. And it is also quite difficult to master by a person who is not quite familiar with computers.

How can I find out the child’s personal account for payment

This requisite is the main one for making an online transaction to the account of a preschool educational institution. You can find out if you carefully read the details of the receipt (see picture). It is also very desirable to write it down in a place that is easily accessible to you if you cannot remember it. In the event that you know it, you can pay for kindergarten from any terminal even without a receipt.

How to find out the CBC for paying for kindergarten services

    • In order to find out the KBC of the kindergarten, you can also use the receipt. It is indicated on almost every payment document.
    • In the event that the kindergarten uses an individual receipt form without specifying the CSC, or the number is lost, you can contact the institution’s accounting department directly and ask them to write (or print) the details required for making a payment.

    Applegate Academy & Preschool

The first daycare that my son attended always left me feeling uneasy and he cried every day he was dropped off. At Applegate, he loves his teachers. He comes home happy and seems much more comfortable around other toddlers outside of daycare. Everyone there, from front desk staff to otherinstructors, knows who he is and acknowledges him. He is provided healthy meals, great activities catered to his developmental stage, and is genuinely loved and cared for. I am so glad that we signed up with Applegate, I’d recommend them to anyone….
