Classroom Environment
We believe our Center environment must be clean, safe and well planned. Our teaching staff is responsible for ensuring this. Your child will feel safe and secure in our clean and comfortable classrooms. Our child size furniture and equipment help your child develop self reliance in taking care of his or her personal needs. Our Center offers block play, housekeeping, dramatic play, reading, quiet play, science, art and manipulative for exploration and problem solving.
Classroom Transitions
Criteria including chronological age, social and emotional development and self care skills have been established for each classroom. When your child is ready for an older group, you will be notified as to when your child can be expected to change rooms.
Lesson Plans & Daily Notes
The teacher in each classroom will post weekly lesson plans that provide information on activities and the skills developed through these activities. Daily notes are provided for all children who are infants, toddlers, two years of age, three years of age, and four years of age. This will inform you of your child’s individual activities and anything special that may have occurred.
Our Mission
WHAT’S OUR GOAL
We are sensitive to a child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. We provide developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning and help children enjoy successful experiences. We believe in providing a physical environment that is save, clean, healthy and oriented to children. Classrooms are arranged to offer challenging play and learning. We provide valuable social skills that students need to acquire for future scholastic development. We believe in positive methods of discipline. We establish consistent, age-appropriate limits to help children function. Our programs are designed to develop in children a sense of independence and personal responsibility.
We believe that honesty and sound work ethics are valuable assets that each staff member should possess. We believe every member of our team has valuable skills that contribute to our combined success. Each member has a positive impact on each child that they are responsible for by providing a nurturing environment which includes mutual respect for one another. We offer a school-oriented environment. We believe that quality childcare and education are important to our clients. We strive to create mutual respect between parents, teachers, and children. We encourage daily communication between parents and Study Hall Learning Center staff members. Our doors are always open to parents.

Our dance class offers children an opportunity to learn modern and traditional styles of dance. The dance class is part of the Study Hall Learning Center curriculum and the class adds value to the children’s developmental growth. The children attend dance class provided by Kinder Dance Alamo City at Study Hall Daycare Center. This Dance Class is free to the enrolled students courtesy of the LEIJA stars project.
The Powerhouse Bus comes to Study Hall Learning Center to provide students with a fun and exciting gymnastics experience that includes a balance beam, climbing bars, etc. This program is free and available for all enrolled students courtesy of the LEIJA stars project. More Information
All of our infant to two-year-old Teachers are certified in Baby Signs, the original sign language program for babies. This certification allows our teachers to teach your baby or infant to communicate through sign language. Babies that learn Baby Signs, talk sooner and obtain a long-lasting boost in their intellectual development.
Our program offers children an opportunity to learn Spanish. We have a Spanish teacher that works with each age group for about thirty minutes each day with age-appropriate activities.
Our programs are based on each child’s social, intellectual, emotional and physical developmental needs. Each child is assigned to his or her classroom depending upon age and developmental level. All classrooms follow a common theme each week, but each classroom follows a specific curriculum that has been designed for each age group. Each classroom has the daily activities posted.

WHAT PARENTS SAY ABOUT US
My three kids have been attending study hall for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. I love all the staff & they are always so friendly. Most important I love that all three of my kids love it and their teachers.Naomi Caballero
I love it! My daughter has been there a month and I see the difference already. She talks a whole lot more and she adapted so well. Love it!!Julie Berlanga-Martinez
I just love it because you can see all the children are learning, having a good time, and involved in what they are exploring. It is wonderful to see how The Study Hall has a genuine concern for the well being of all the students. This shows by thorough planning of a variety of activities throughout the day. The owner and staff provide effective teaching skills, methods and philosophy. Finally The Study Hall shows a commitment to self improvement year after year. Congratulations!Tere Marquez Ocampo

Have a great time
It’s very hot in San Antonio, so walking along the river will be pleasant and comfortable. The route is interesting – we passed by beautiful houses. restaurants. I liked it very much! I recommend!!!

Warm and high humidity inside
It was a very cold day and the opportunity to get into the caves was very pleasing. There are 2 routes, up to an hour each, groups depart on time, you can take a plane in both. They warn that one is difficult, but it turned out to be normal, there were people who did not look like athletes.
Footwear – for comfortable walking on wet floors. Food is not allowed, from drinks – only non-carbonated water is allowed.
You can’t touch anything, just hold on to the railing.
Due to humidity and temperature change (34 outside, about 80 inside, Fahrenheit), I did not dare to take out the camera, the phone managed.
Both routes are somewhat similar, on a more difficult one in the depths of the hall of complete darkness (there is no natural, the artificial guide will turn it off, everyone is sitting on benches), interesting.Review of: Natural Bridge Caverns

Make this mission the last one on your way to San Antonio
This mission looks the best, so visit it last so as not to spoil your impression of the others. Don’t expect too much from this mission, or from all of them, though.

Pretty good
If you like looking at old ruins, then this is the place for you. The park brings together four missions located in the San Antonio area, in varying degrees of preservation and restoration. The visit is free, you can devote a couple of hours to this activity if you have your own transport – a car or a motorcycle.

Charming
Very beautiful cathedral. The oldest functioning Catholic cathedral in the United States. This alone will make you visit it. Despite its age, the cathedral is in excellent shape, giving the impression that it was built recently. So atypical for the states as a whole, but in beauty and interior decoration it can compete with good European samples!

Riverboat trip
Wonderful river crossing San Antonio almost in half. Excursion tours on small boats for 10-12 people are organized on the river. While traveling along the river, passengers can admire the view of the well-groomed embankment and local attractions. I recommend to everyone!

Lovers of walks and beauty – come here!
Very nice place to visit, also with children. During our visit, an exhibition of tiny Lego figures was opened in the garden, from 20 thousand to more than 90 thousand in every creation. The children received cards with pictures and were happy to look for the figures. They were happy to find them and mark them on their maps. I think they will remember this trip.

the zoo is not very big, but there is something to see (you will definitely spend 2 hours). There were not many visitors in February. the pavilion with butterflies did not work. in my opinion, an interesting collection of snakes, mainly from South America, and interesting specimens of wild cats. Some birds can be viewed by entering the spacious aviary-cage.

Remains of former luxury
Personally, I liked this mission the most of the four in the San Antonio area. Probably because there is the least left here, but most of all there is confidence that what is presented is not built now, but has been preserved for a long time. If you have nothing to do, you can ride through all four missions – three hours for this activity will be enough for your eyes and ears.

Central square of the city.
The main sights of the city are located here and the nearest district. Excursions around the city begin here. And the main historical monument of the state of Texas is the Alamo mission.
