School Without Walls High School (SWW) is a small public magnet High School in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington. Students and faculty colloquially refer to it as “The Walls”. The school is based on the concept of urban education, which encourages students to “use the city as a classroom”, which is the origin of its name. [2]
SWW offers a preparatory academic curriculum with 22 AP courses. [3] It is part of the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and attracts students from all parts of the city. Applicants must receive 3.0 points. Average score and meet or exceed the expectations of the PARCC exam during their eighth grade year. During the application process, they complete a multiple-choice test, a written essay, and an interview with teachers and current students. [4]
As part of the school’s partnership with George Washington University, teachers and students can take dual enrollment classes at the university. [5] GW Early College students graduate with a high school diploma from School Without Walls and an Associate Doctor of Arts from George Washington University. [6]

School History
The school was founded in 1971, modeled after the Parkway Program in the School District of Philadelphia. The goal was to create a learning environment that offered an alternative to conventional programs. They started with fifty students, six teachers and one administrator. [7]
The school is located on the George Washington University (GWU) campus, on G Street intersecting 21st Street NW. School without walls, founded in 1971, was originally located on the 8th floor of an office building on the street. 1411 K. In the fall of 1973, the school moved to 10th and H Streets, NW, where SWW shared a facility with the Webster Girls School, a program for pregnant teenagers. She then moved to 1619 M St., N.W. in the mid 70s. In August 2007, Walls was moved to Capitol Hill at the Logan School building on G Street NE between 2nd and 3rd Streets NE (near Union Station and adjacent to the Securities and Exchange Commission headquarters). This temporary home was used for two years while the original building was being renovated. During the summer of 2007, Logan’s school was renovated, including a new roof and interior renovations, to accommodate students. In August 2009The School Without Walls returned to the Grant School after the opening ceremony. Mayor Adrian Fenty, DCPS Chancellor Michelle Rea and GWU President Stephen Knapp.
In August 2011, the “School Without Walls” was forced to temporarily close due to damage to the walls and roof of the building during the earthquake and Hurricane Irene a few days later. [8]
Despite opposition from parents and students, in 2014 SWW merged with the neighboring Francis-Stevens Educational Campus, renamed the School Without Walls under Francis Stevens. [9] Francis-Stevens, which serves preschools through eighth grade, was not registered and had to close, while the school building without walls was too small for students. The two schools now share administration, although Francis-Stevens is non-selective and graduates are not guaranteed admission to “School Without Walls” high school. SWW students do not attend classes at Francis-Stevens due to distance between buildings and because Francis-Stevens has quickly become more popular, reaching a waiting list of over 900 in 2016. [10]

Before the School Without Walls occupied it, the building was very dilapidated. The school was badly damaged by water, the brick facade needed to be repainted, and the slate roof was gradually losing its tiles. On February 13, 2006, the D.C. City Council and the George Washington University Board of Regents approved a $12 million deal to renovate and expand the school building in exchange for transferring ownership of the parking lot behind the school to the university. [11]
The old façade has been preserved intact, while the interior has been renovated and rebuilt. A new building has been added as an additional wing to accommodate the growing set.
Student Housing
In 2010, 52% of SWW freshmen came from DCPS high schools and 33% from charter high schools. [12] The school received over 1,300 applications for 140 freshman class seats for the 2018-19 school year. [13]
In the 2017-18 academic year, SWW students were 43% Caucasian, 31% African American, 12% Hispanic/Latino, 8% Asian, and 5% mixed race. [1] Students also accounted for 12% of the economically disadvantaged and 60% of women. [14]
SWW has the lowest minority and at-risk enrollment among DCPS high schools. In 2019, DCPS rolled out a pilot program to allow students in the top 15 of their schools to take the SWW entrance test even if they have not met the minimum criteria for meeting or exceeding PARCC expectations. The goal was to determine whether relaxing the requirements of standardized testing could diversify the SWW student body. However, because DCPS did not inform prospective parents about the program, 226 affected students were ultimately not allowed to take the admissions test. [15]
Academic Achievement
Walls was named a National Blue Ribbon School on September 9, 2010, one of 304 schools nationwide. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes and honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools whose students have achieved very high levels or made significant progress and have helped close the achievement gap, especially among underprivileged and minority students. Art students have received many awards for their work, including the 2011 awards. National Cherry Blossom Festival Youth Poster Competition. [17]
Rankings
In the 2018 Public High School Rankings, U.S. News and World Report ranked Walls first in the District of Columbia and 51st in the United States, and 11th among magnetic schools in the country. [18]
2019 High School RankingMr. Nisha listed Walls as the best public high school in DC and the 36th best public high school in the US. [19]
Test Results
Walls has the highest average SAT score among DCPS high schools since the district began releasing data in 2013. The school’s average cumulative GPA was 1272 in 2018. [20]
In 2018, 80% of Walls students who took the AP exam achieved a passing score of at least 3. [21]
Sports Achievement
The Walls compete in the DCIAA and offer the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Golf, Indoor Track, Lacrosse, Outdoor Track, Football, squash, swimming, softball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, and weightlifting. [22] Before the school adopted the penguin as its mascot, its teams were known informally as the Walls. [23]
The SWW volleyball team won the first DCIAA school title at 1997 year. [23] The track and field team competed in the 2011 Penn Relay. The softball team won the citywide championships in 2011 and 2012.
Walls student won the 2017 Girls Outdoor Gatorade Player of the Year in Athletics, the first time a Walls student has received the award in any sport. [24]
Francis Stevens School Without Walls

Francis-Stevens School Without Walls is an early childhood education school for grades 3 to 8, which has the same administration as the school without walls. It is located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood and is operated by the District of Columbia Public Schools. Unlike a high school, this is a traditional public school that primarily accepts students based on the enrollment boundary. Students may also enroll through the District of Columbia School Lottery if space is available. High school graduates are not guaranteed a place in High School Without Walls. Instead, they feed on the Cardoso Education Campus for the ninth grade. Graduates of Ross and Thomson Elementary School can move on to Francis-Stevens in sixth grade. [25]
The school had problems with low attendance for decades, and in 1977 the first afterschool program in the District of Columbia was created to attract the attention of parents who worked in the neighborhood. [26] An ongoing problem led to the merger of Thaddeus Stevens Elementary School and Francis Junior High School in 2008, followed by the decision to close Francis-Stevens Educational Campus in 2014. , also known as Perry School , is a historic former school building located in the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, DC. It has been listed on the D.C. Historic Places List since 1978 years old and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The building avoided demolition with community support and the efforts of conservationists and is now a community center.
History
The school was founded in 1870 as Preparatory High School for Negro Youth , [2] also called Washington High School . [3]
Between 1870 and 1891 the school was located in several makeshift locations. At 189In 00, Congress appropriated $112,000 to build a permanent school, and the building on M Street was designed by Thomas Entwistle of the Building Inspector’s Office and built 1890-1891. [4] [5]
It was one of the first African American high schools in the nation and represents a milestone in the development of Washington’s education system. The African American community had to fight for quality education in the city. The dual school system resulted in disparities in facilities, grounds, architectural design, and size. However, the school provided a rigorous curriculum and an outstanding faculty due to limited professional opportunities for African Americans. School principals included Francis L. Cardozo, Sr., Robert H. Terrell and Anna J. Cooper. Among the many teachers were Carter G. Woodson who taught French, Spanish, English and History, and Christian Fleetwood, a Medal of Honor recipient. The school produced a high percentage of college graduates, sending graduates to Harvard, Yale, and Brown, among other places, and its alumni included many distinguished educators and community leaders. The high school was moved to a new building at a different location in 1916 when it was renamed. Dunbar High School honors famous African-American poet Paul Lawrence Dunbar. [7] In 1919, the school building at 128 M Street became the home of M Street High School, which was renamed Shaw High School in 1921. Then, in 1928, Shaw moved into the McKinley Technical School building at 7th and Rhode Island Avenues, NW.
From 1929 to 1932, the M Street High School building was used to house students from the Cardozo High School. In 1932 it became M Street Junior High School, later named Terrell High School. In 1952, it was again renamed the Secondary School. Leona L. Perry, named for the headmaster, superintendent, and school board member of the black school system from 1914 to 1945. In 1954 the school was merged. [8] It was closed soon after.
The building continued to take on new life. In the 1960s it was used as a homeless shelter and food distribution center. In 1978 it was nominated for the status of an architectural monument. At the time, it was planned to be demolished to create a playground for the students of nearby Terrell High School, but after an outstanding nomination, the school board decided to keep it instead. In the 1980s, the city tried to sell it to developers, but the local community sought to keep it as a public asset. At 19It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, and in 1989 the DC School Board approved the use of the vacant Perry School as a community service center. [10]
In 1998, the building became the home of Perry School Community Services, Inc, a nonprofit health and community service center. [11]

Buc-Ee’s Texas Convenience Store Chain Displays Its Pay and Benefits
Buc-ee’s is a Texas-based chain of convenience stores that’s acquired a cult-following in Texas.
All 33 of the company’s locations have signs advertising its salaries, benefits, and vacation policies.
Buc-ee’s general counsel Jeff Nadalo told Business Insider that the transparency is meant to attract top job candidates.
He said the company also hopes to demonstrate to current employees that there’s room for advancement within Buc-ee’s.
Buc-ee’s puts it all out there when it comes to its salaries, benefits, and vacation policies.
Of course, in the era of job sites like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed, employees around the world are shining a light on previously obscure and touchy workplace subjects like pay and benefits. Nowadays, people increasingly want transparency when it comes to pay.
Buc-ee’s is one company that bucks the trend by preempting questions surrounding compensation.
All 33 locations of the Texas-based convenience store chain have signs displaying information about pay for entry-level and managerial roles, company-wide vacation policies, and other benefits.
Buc-ee’s general counsel Jeff Nadalo told Business Insider that the signs have been around as long as he can recall — and he’s worked at the company for seven years.
The salaries listed on the Buc-ee’s signs are, for the most part, above industry standards.
Nadalo say most applications take place through the store’s website.

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data from 2017, food service workers make an hourly wage of $9. 81, cashiers make a median hourly wage of $10.11, vehicle cleaners make a median hourly wage of $12.39, hand laborers make an hourly wage of $12.44, and retail workers make an hourly wage of $13.20.
That’s something Buc-ee’s understandably wants to advertise to prospective job candidates. But the company’s signage also has another effect.
“Our customers expect and look forward to a very unique experience,” Nadalo told Business Insider. “We have to attract the best talent.
“And so we work very hard at not just providing a transparent wage schedule to those potential future team members, but also to remind those who are currently there of some opportunities that are there at the store, as well,” he said.
According to Nadalo, the signs have had the desired effect.
“We’ve had folks who started out as cashiers and now they’re at fairly senior levels within the home office,” he said.
The signage should come in especially handy now that Nadalo said the chain is looking to hire more employees as the company prepares to open a new location in Baldwin, Alabama. This foray into the Yellowhammer State represents the first ever Buc-ee’s store that will be built outside of Texas. Nadalo added that the company’s ideal employee is friendly and hard-working.
“You’re on your feet most of the day and you’re customer-facing,” Nadalo said. “Not only are you having to work hard, but you’re having to do it in a manner that makes the customer feel like they’re important.”

Salaries are paid only to full-time employees under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, for all others, for example, performers under a GPC agreement, remuneration is provided. What is a salary
A salary, or salary, is a monetary reward that an employer pays to a staff member for tasks performed.

incentive payments – bonuses and rewards, for example, a percentage of the amount of sales for the past month.
The employer has the right to independently choose which wage system to install in his company. There are several restrictions:

What are the restrictions:
non-monetary remuneration to an employee cannot exceed 20% of salary;
payment in kind is common in the employer’s field of activity. For example, in agricultural production;
you cannot pay with coupons, receipts, alcoholic drinks, drugs, toxic and poisonous substances, weapons, ammunition and other things that are prohibited by law;
An employer cannot overstate the cost of goods with which he pays an employee instead of money. For example, a dairy plant cannot count a bottle of milk given to an employee as payment for work at 200 ₽ if the price in the store is 60 ₽.
The law also provides for categories of employees who can receive wages not in rubles, but in foreign currency. For example, diplomats, consuls and official representatives of the Russian Federation abroad.

What are the systems of remuneration
The law provides for a tariff system of remuneration. It can be time-based, piecework or mixed. The employer himself chooses which system to apply, depending on the complexity of the work, the qualifications of the employees, the conditions and their capabilities.

Time wage system. In this case, the employee is paid for the time worked, taking into account his qualifications, and at the request of the employer, a motivation system is established.
Time payment is of two types:
Salary. Under such a system, the employee is paid a fixed amount per month, regardless of the work performed, without additional payments. For example, the administrator receives 25,000 ₽ for any flow of visitors.
Simple time-based. The employee is paid for the time spent at work. For example, a promoter is paid 150 ₽ per hour, regardless of how many flyers he distributes during this time.
By law, normal working hours are 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day. This time does not include the employee’s lunch break and travel time to and from work. The work schedule of employees is specified in the employment contract or in the local regulations of the employer.

There are types of work when employees work in shifts. Then the working day may be different. For example, storekeepers or salespeople at gas stations can work 10-12 hours a day. In this case, they must work in shifts, that is, change with a partner during the week. Taking two shifts in a row is prohibited.

It is difficult for an employer to draw up a work schedule so that there are no more than 8 hours in a shift if the enterprise works for 12 hours. In this case, the law allows the use of summarized accounting of working hours. For example, with a standard five-day work week, an employee works 160 hours per month. Shift workers must also work a total of no more than 160 hours per month.

For overtime work, the employer must pay the employee at an increased rate. The first two hours of processing – in one and a half times, all other hours – in double. If desired, the employee may ask for compensation not in money, but in rest. The main thing is that the rest time for processing should not be less than the employee spent on overtime work.

Piecework wage system. With piece-rate payment, the main indicator is the result obtained. The more a worker completes a task or produces a product, the higher the earnings.
Piecework payment is divided into four types:
Straight. In this case, the employee is set the final price for the product or service. For example, the editor receives 5000 ₽ for an article.
Chord. In this case, the employee is paid a fixed amount for a set of work. For example, according to the terms of reference, a full-time team of locksmiths will repair a failed conveyor line at a plant for 30,000 rubles and three working days. Each locksmith will receive an amount proportional to the time he spent on work.
Piece-progressive. The employer pays a fixed cost for a good or service and pays extra if the employee has performed above the norm. For example, a factory set 100 rubles per item if an employee makes 50 pieces per month. If an employee makes 51 or more, then all products over this amount are paid for 120 ₽.
Indirect piecework. In this case, the employee receives a percentage of the salary of the main workers. Such a system is often used for labor workers, such as equipment repair mechanics, who work only during a breakdown. For example, the salary of a sewing machine repair technician is 10% of the salary of seamstresses in this production. If the seamstresses earned 200,000 ₽ in a month, the mechanic will receive 20,000 ₽.
Mixed wage system. The law does not prohibit employers from additionally establishing a mixed form of remuneration using several systems at the same time.
These include:
Time-bonus. In this case, the employee is given a fixed salary and an achievement bonus. For example, a manager was given a salary of 10,000 ₽, if he fulfills the sales plan for a month, the bonus will be 100,000 ₽.
Time-based piecework. The employee is set a salary and a norm for a certain time, which he must exceed in order to receive an additional payment. For example, an Internet connection technician was set a salary of 30,000 rubles for 50 connected subscribers per month. To receive a 20,000 ₽ surcharge, he must connect 20 more subscribers per month.
Piece-rate premium. In addition to paying for each product, the employer pays an additional bonus for good performance. For example, at the plant, the team received a bonus for working the whole month without marriage.
If desired, the employer and employee can agree to change the wage system. For example, transfer employees from a stable salary to piecework. This can be beneficial to workers who make goods. For example, previously a seamstress received a fixed salary of 30,000 ₽ per month, and will receive 800 ₽ for each dress. Everything is on the plus side: the seamstress wants to work more, and the employer does not overpay, if suddenly the employee has not made the norm for the month.
What is the minimum wage and why does the state establish it?
The minimum wage is the minimum wage. It is impossible to pay an employee who has worked the monthly norm of working time below the amount. That is, it is prohibited by law to assign a salary less than this amount.
About the minimum wage – in art. 133 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation
If the employee works on a piece-rate basis, he is set a production rate, that is, the amount of goods that he must make in a month. This norm cannot be set so that the salary is lower than the minimum wage, subject to full load.
A seamstress gets paid for each dress and spends two days making it. In a month, she will be able to sew 20 dresses. This is the production rate. The amount she earns for 20 dresses must not be less than the minimum wage.
The minimum wage increases annually and cannot be lower than the subsistence level. In 2021, the size of the federal minimum wage in the Russian Federation is 12,792 ₽, but in the regions they can set their own amount, for example, in Tatarstan – 15,400 ₽.

We are going to visit scientists at the Antarctic station, we will take part in scientific experiments, we will meet with the Eskimos. How do I get my child to camp?
Flight from Moscow
The flight is not included in the ticket price. Our business partners are organizing a group flight, accompanied by experienced adults, from the airport of Moscow (Sheremetyevo) to the airport of Sochi.
Organized transfer
Organized transfer from Sochi airport and back is included in the tour price. We go to Hotel 28 on a comfortable bus. Meeting point: Sochi airport. We will send all the details on the day before arrival.
For children coming from other cities
At your request, we will arrange an individual meeting at the airport or railway station in Sochi. Our manager will agree with you all the details and select the most convenient option.

How is the study of English in the camp?
In each shift, 20 academic hours of English are planned with teachers from the ONE network! international school. The camp program is aimed at developing speaking and grammar skills. At the end of the shift, each child receives a certificate of completion of an intensive course in English on the topic “Urban Environment”. In addition to classes, children are immersed in the English language environment at least 50% of the time. Each unit has a counselor who interacts with children only in English. In a bilingual environment, children develop English comprehension and speaking skills much faster.
What if the child does not have a high level of English?
Children come to us with both conversational and basic English skills. At the beginning of the shift, we form groups within each squad according to the level of English proficiency. It is important for us that every child is interested and comfortable in the classroom.
How is the safety of children organized in the camp?
Children’s safety is our top priority, so we carefully select each location and make high demands when choosing a place to stay. ONE! International Camp is located in the closed territory of Hotel 28. Children in our camp are always under the supervision of counselors who monitor their safety 24/7. Leaving the territory, going to the pool or excursions are carried out only accompanied by the required number of adults.
Who are the camp leaders?
Our counselors are graduates with long teaching experience in the ONE network! international school.
What if the child is traveling for the first time?
We understand that the first trip to the camp is always very exciting for both the child and his parents. In each shift 24/7, an experienced child psychologist works with the children, who helps them adapt to the new environment and, if necessary, gives regular feedback to parents about the past day.
How is food organized in the camp? What should I do if my child has food allergies?
A balanced five meals a day is organized for the children in our camp. Every day they have fresh vegetables, fruits and dairy products on their menu.
In case of individual food allergies or intolerance to any products, be sure to indicate this in the questionnaire – we will select an individual menu.
Our counselors and medical staff will make sure that the special diet is always observed.
Can I take my phone with me?
We do not forbid taking phones with us, but modern gadgets can interfere with children during their holidays. We always ask parents to help their children adapt, and not to disturb them with frequent calls and messages. Our counselors are always in touch with parents at any time of the day.
Will the child be on the phone all the time?
Our program is so busy that children simply don’t have time for their phones. In addition, children are always under the supervision of counselors, and in case of abuse of the phone, we can offer a regulation for issuing gadgets (by agreement with parents). For example, only from 14:00 to 15:00 and from 21.00 to 22.00.
How will I get photo and video reports?
We will send photos and videos daily in the whatsapp group.

Summer camp is in full swing!
Two weeks ago, the summer Sun Camp program started in our garden!
Children from 3 to 7 years old went on an expedition to unravel the mysteries of the third planet – the Earth. The journey begins with the study of the ancient continent of Pangea, the oceans, volcanoes and mountains. Children managed to try themselves as rock climbers, scuba divers and tourists. Every week, the guys are waiting for a new expedition, interesting and exciting!
For children from 1.5 to 3 years old, there is another program – “It’s fun to walk together.” Each week is devoted to one song from a cartoon or a fairy tale, getting to know the melody, words and characters. Children are happy to sing their favorite songs about kindness, friendship and travel.
Summer has just begun, have time to spend it fun and interesting at Sun Camp!

Another school year in kindergarten is behind us! During this time, the guys successfully mastered the program, gained knowledge and skills, grew up and got stronger. Children’s cooking

Recently, a culinary theatrical master class was held in our kindergarten. Remy and Alfredo (heroes of the cartoon “Ratatouille”) came to the guys from France itself and, together with the guys, prepared dumplings for a strict restaurant critic. The children with great pleasure helped the characters to make two types of dumplings: with potatoes and cherries.

Our teachers always come up with something interesting for children, so that it is easier and more fun for them to perceive new material. This week is dedicated to space, so the English-speaking teacher Pavel organized a quest for his children! It all started with a magical portal, through which the children ended up in space. After they found the details of the rocket, they assembled it and flew! After the flight, the guys were waiting for experiments. Now they know how to inflate a balloon without air and how many balloons are needed to make the Umka teddy bear fly to the Big Dipper.

Talks about ecology and nature protection are organized in children’s institutions. Our kindergarten is no exception, the other day in the senior group, the guys, together with the teacher Anya, talked about the Earth, how to save air and water on it and what can be done to live in an environmentally friendly way.

How was March?
The first spring month is full of holidays! In honor of March 8, the guys and I organized a concert with touching numbers and fun contests. And then we met the most delicious holiday – Maslenitsa. Everything is as it should be – they enjoyed pancakes and saw off the winter! And so that winter would hurry up, they conducted an experiment and melted the snow. It turned out to be very fun!
Although March pleased us with warm sunny weather, sometimes frost bit the children’s
cheeks. But we walked no less than before, friendly and productive! We were riding
on ice rinks, played snowballs, watched the arrival of spring. After all, spring is an amazing time of the year!

Arlington’s homeland is the hospitable state of Texas. The city is located in Tarrant County and is part of the vast Fort Worth-Dallas amalgamation. The main areas of Arlington are entertainment and sports. Within its boundaries there are dozens of amusement parks and entertainment venues. The city is famous for its modern sports grounds and stadiums. The city of Arlington is the capital of the world of bowling, on its territory there is a museum and an institute dedicated to this game.
History of the city
Several centuries ago, the lands of modern Arlington were inhabited by Indian tribes. Around 1840, the first Europeans arrived here. Trying to protect themselves from the constant Indian raids, they decided to build a military fort. Over time, it turned into a small trading town. And the fertile lands adjacent to its territory added even more attractiveness to the city. The impetus for the development of Arlington was the construction of the Texas Railroad. Enormous progress has been made in trade and the economy, and the agricultural and industrial sectors have been actively developed. The 20th century was an era of great industrialization. The first automobile and aerospace plants appeared on the territory of the city. Emigrants flocked here from all over the country in search of new jobs. The urban population grew steadily, and the city continued to flourish and develop. Arlington is a fairly young city, so there are practically no historical sights here. The architecture is not pompous or original. Everything is quite simple and calm.

Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas Amusement Park is the city’s most iconic attraction. It is located in the picturesque Hurricane Harbor. The park provides a huge selection of rides and water slides. In 2011, a new attraction was built on its territory, called the Texas Giant. Wonderful playgrounds are provided for the youngest guests. Visitors can swim in one of the many pools or relax in a cozy cafe. Numerous street stalls offer a huge selection of soft drinks, cotton candy, popcorn and other sweets.
Arlington Art Gallery
The Arlington Art Gallery is incredibly popular with art lovers. Its walls contain unique paintings, engravings and canvases by famous masters of our time. The gallery exhibition is constantly replenished and updated. The museum is famous for its magnificent opening days, exhibitions and art evenings.
Levitt Concert Hall
Classical music fans are advised to head to the Levitt Concert Hall, which looks more like a large indoor pavilion. Every year, a lot of live music concerts, both classical and modern, take place within its walls. On the Levitt stage you can see quite famous artists. The acoustics in the hall are extraordinary – the sound coming from the instruments penetrates even into the most hidden corners of the pavilion.
Bowling Museum
The Arlington Bowling Museum is well known. The exposition is dedicated to the history and development of this exciting sport. The museum building hosts interesting interactive exhibitions and charming sports shows. Visitors can play mini-bowling.
Entertainment centers
There are a huge variety of entertainment centers within the city. Among the most visited is the center “Pix-Mall”. These are dozens of bars, shops, cafes and restaurants. This is a large ice rink, an excellent cinema, several beauty salons, a wonderful games room, and a bowling alley. In addition to the Peaks Mall, you can go to the center of Matlock Road or visit the Arlington Highlands.
Arlington Stadiums
Arlington has a large city stadium. A few years ago, the well-known American baseball team, the Texas Rangers, trained in its penates. Today this team has relocated under the dome of another stadium – Globe Life Park. This is a new stadium, equipped with the latest technology, built in retro style. Nearby you can see the “Cowboy Stadium” – the Dallas Cowboys, a well-known football club in the country, conduct training at its base.
Arlington Parks
River Legacy is Arlington’s charming natural park. There are excellent walking and cycling paths for visitors. Those who wish can go roller-skating and ice-skating in winter. The townspeople arrange picnics here. River Legacy is a delightful place for hiking. On the territory of the park there are picturesque greenhouses and bright flower beds, artificial reservoirs and fountains have been created. Comfortable benches are placed throughout the park. Art lovers will love Kaluma Mura Park, whose main decoration is numerous sculptures. A special park has been opened for animals in Arlington. The townspeople walk their beloved pets here.
Memorial Bridge
In 1932, the Memorial Arch Bridge was inaugurated in Arlington. This is a simple, but graceful and elegant building made of steel and stone, made in the neoclassical style. The bridge is decorated with beautiful bronze sculptures, miniature figures of eagles and bison. From the top of the bridge offers stunning views of the city panorama. Arlington House rises on one side, and on the other, you can admire the Lincoln Memorial.
Tourist information
Arlington is close to major cities such as Fort Worth and Dallas. Therefore, getting to the city is not at all difficult. Interestingly, Arlington is the only American city in which there is no public transport. There are several companies serving the elderly, the disabled, and students in the city. City enterprises and organizations provide transport to their employees on a daily basis.

It’s been 25 years since Amber Hagerman disappeared in Texas. During this time, the investigators never found out who kidnapped and killed the girl. However, the disappearance of Amber marked the beginning of an organized search for children in the United States and other countries of the world. We tell you how AMBER Alert works and why it is criticized in the USA.
Abduction of Amber Hagerman
Amber’s family lived in Arlington, Texas. On January 13, 1996, at around 3:00 pm, Amber and her five-year-old brother Ricky went for a bike ride. They arrived at the parking lot of an abandoned Winn-Dixie store. Soon Ricky went home to his grandparents, but Amber stayed: she wanted to ride more. When Ricky returned for her, he found only a pink bicycle, his sister was not around.
The only witness named Jim Kevil, who lived near the store, testified that a truck drove up to the parking lot, a man got out of it, grabbed the girl, pushed him into the car and drove off. Amber, according to him, screamed and fought back. He described the kidnapper as a man of average build, between 20 and 30 years old, with dark hair. Noticing what had happened, Jim ran home to call the police.
Dozens of people went looking for Amber, reports of her disappearance appeared in all local media. “She was like the child of all the people of Arlington,” recalls Sheriff Anderson.
Four days later, on January 17, a man walking his dog found Amber’s body in a ditch about eight kilometers from the store’s parking area where she was last seen.
According to Sergeant Lopez, who dealt with the Amber case, the investigation had about seven thousand versions of what happened during the entire time of work. After 25 years, the identity of the killer has not been established. Sgt. Lopez and Amber’s mom, Donna, regularly attend kidnapping public discussions and appeal to the girl’s killer to demand justice.
“We have other unsolved cases… We want to solve them all, but 20 years is a long time. We are saddened that we still cannot give more information to Amber’s mom and family, ”says Lopez.

Why not notify people of missing children?
Arlington resident and mum Diane Simone sympathized with the tragedy of the Hagerman family. Shortly after Amber’s funeral, she called the local radio station with the suggestion, “Since we have weather warnings, why not notify people of missing children?” It seemed to her that this could make the search more effective.
About nine months after Amber went missing, AMBER Alert (America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response), named after the girl, appeared. As part of this program, Texas radio stations began to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. The police promptly sent information about the missing children, and it was broadcast on the radio.
In 1998, thanks to AMBER Alert, the first child was saved. The nanny kidnapped him. The girl was found thanks to the driver, who heard directions on the radio and noticed a car that matched the description of the kidnapper’s car. After that, representatives of different countries began to contact the Arlington Police Department to consult on the creation of similar warning systems.

How AMBER Alert works
Today, when US police officers learn of a child abduction, they collect all available information about the incident and send a message to the media. The media, as in the case of other emergencies, are obliged to immediately publish an announcement. Radio and TV channels interrupt the broadcast according to the schedule or show a ticker with the details of the kidnapping and orientation. Information about abducted children can also be found on billboards along the highway and road signs.
All cellular subscribers located in the state where the kidnapping occurred receive a notification on their phone. Even if it is on silent mode, the message about the missing child will sound loudly. Notifications can be turned off.
What it takes to get a child on AMBER Alert*:
Law enforcement has reason to believe that a kidnapping has occurred.
Law enforcement authorities are sure that the life and health of the child is in danger.
The authorities have enough information about the kidnapper and the kidnapping to spread the message.
Child under 17 years of age.
The child’s name and other information is on the registry of the National Crime Information Center. The case should be labeled “kidnapping.”

In 2019, AMBER Alert in America worked 145 times and notified residents of the United States about the disappearance of 180 children. As of February 25, 2020 from notifications 2019In 142 cases, the children were returned, three children were still missing, and 10 were found dead.
According to information on the program website, by July 2021, AMBER Alert has saved 1,074 children. Donna, mother of Amber Hagerman, often supports the program in public speaking. “This [AMBER Alert] will not bring Amber back to Donna,” says Detective Lopez. “But at least she knows that her daughter has helped so many children.”

Criticism for AMBER Alert
Many people in the US complain about a loud missing-child notification that can come at night and disturb their sleep. Because of this, many turn off notifications. This situation makes AMBER Alert volunteers worry that fatigue from frequent notifications in general will lead to indifference to kidnappings.
University of Cincinnati Associate Professor of Criminal Justice Timothy Griffin calls AMBER Alert “a theatrical fight against crime” and believes that the benefits of the program are more symbolic than practical. The researcher believes that society has a negative attitude towards law enforcement agencies due to cases when information about abducted children does not enter the media or arrives too late. This happens because it takes too long for the police to get enough information about the kidnapping. It seems to Griffin that people are given an “illusion of security” due to the exaggerated achievements of AMBER Alert in the media. In addition, as Griffin argues, children are more likely to suffer and die at the hands of abusive relatives than as a result of abductions. “Classic” kidnappings, he says, happen much less frequently.
Professor of sociology and criminology at Northeastern University in Boston, Jack Levin, in a commentary to The Washington Post, also expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the program: even if AMBER Alert worked after the kidnapping, this does not mean that the story ended well because of it.
Despite the dissatisfaction and criticism of the program, AMBER Alert and similar systems of mass notifications of child abduction continue to operate in dozens of European countries: the UK, Italy, Denmark, the Czech Republic, etc.
Preparing for an interview takes a lot more than Googling a list of common interview questions (though yes, you should 100% be ready for those). You have to make a great first impression (no showing up in wrinkly suits or running late!), know about the company and its products and mission, and, of course, convey exactly why you’d be a great hire for this job.

Learn everything you can about the company, the job, and the interview.
A lot of your interview preparation will depend on the specifics surrounding the job, the company, and even who is interviewing you and how.
1. Research the company.
Spend a few hours learning everything you can about the company—from as many sources as you can. Talk to people in your network to find current and previous employees, read current news releases, and, yes, spend some time on Google. Often, candidates just look at the information a company is pushing out on its own website and social media accounts, but fail to look more in depth at what others are saying. By looking at multiple sources, you’ll get a broader picture of the company (along with any negative press), and be ready to talk about why you’d like to work there and what you can do for them.
2. Learn everything you can about the open position.
Before you can show your interviewer why you’d be a great hire, you need to know what they’re looking for. Luckily, most organizations have laid out exactly what they want in an applicant in the job posting. So go back to the description you looked at before you applied. What skills and experiences are they emphasizing? What problems will this hire need to solve? These are the things you’ll want to emphasize throughout your interview.
3. Try out the company’s product or service (if you can).
If the company you’re interviewing for sells a product you can feasibly check out—try it before your interview (ideally, a few times). If hired, your goal will be to create value for the people who use that product, and being a user yourself is the first step. Plus, it’ll help show the hiring manager that you’re truly interested in the role.
4. Learn about the interviewers (without being creepy!)
If you’re not told who you’ll be meeting with during your interview, ask. For each interviewer, learn what their role at the company is and prep some questions that are specific to them. You can ask for details about their role, discuss current events related to their field, or bring up a common interest you know they have outside the office (just stick to one mentioned in an easily accessible spot, like their company bio or LinkedIn profile).
5. Find out what kind of interview you’re in for—and prepare accordingly.
Different companies use different types of interviews, so ask what you’ll be faced with. For example, some companies will have you meet one on one with several different people at the company, while others might have you meet with multiple people at once or give an interview presentation. You may also have a phone or video interview. Asking the recruiter or HR contact about the interview format ahead of time is totally fair game. And once you know, investing time to become familiar with this style can make a huge difference.

6. Identify your selling points for this job.
Even if you’re a well-oiled interviewing machine, it’s essential to spend time thinking carefully about what skills, accomplishments, and interview answers will resonate with your interviewers most for this job. Your management abilities? Your creativity? Go back to your research and see what makes you most qualified.
7. Be ready to tell the interviewer about yourself.
For every interview, you’ll want to have an answer to “Tell me about yourself” that’s tailored to this job and company and ready to go. Interviewers almost always ask this question or a similar one—like “Walk me through your resume”—to start off the conversation, so you want to make sure you’re getting started on the right foot.
8. Know why you’re interested in this position at this company.
It’s likely you’ll get asked why you’re interested in this particular role and company. (And if you can’t answer this question, you shouldn’t be in the interview!) So to make sure you can answer, identify a couple of key factors about the job and the organization that align well with your strengths, interests, and/or work style and get you excited about the position. Even if you’re not asked about this specifically, you can use this to inform your answers to other questions.
9. Do some salary research.
Even if you’re not ready to have the money conversation, you might still get asked about your salary expectations. To keep yourself from getting caught off guard and giving (or agreeing to) a way-too-low number, do a bit of salary research to figure out how you’d answer.
10. Prepare your stories.
Most interviewers will ask at least a few behavioral questions, that is, questions about how you’ve acted or would act in certain scenarios. While you can’t anticipate every possible situation you’ll be asked about, you can prepare a few stories about your past work experiences that you can adapt as needed.
11. Familiarize yourself with the STAR method.
Whenever you’re answering interview questions with a story, you want to make sure that story is well structured and the takeaway is clear. Your goal should be to give your interviewer all the context they need to understand what happened while still answering the question clearly and concisely. One way to do this is using the STAR method. STAR stands for:
Situation: Briefly lay out the scenario using just enough detail that the interviewer will understand the stakes and everything else in your answer.
Task: Talk about what your role in the situation was.
Action: Discuss what you did and why.
Result: Tell your interviewer about the outcome and what you learned.
Note that for some questions you might want to tweak this structure slightly. For example, if you’re talking about a time you demonstrated leadership skills, consider defining what leadership means to you before jumping into the situation. But the STAR method will ensure your stories always have a beginning, middle, and end.
12. Jot down important numbers and details.
Don’t forget about the numbers! Find some revenue figures, engagement numbers, budget or team sizes, percentages of time saved, or anything else you can use to communicate your impact. Throwing in some hard numbers when talking about your responsibilities and accomplishments or answering behavioral interview questions really sweetens the deal and helps you tell a hiring manager why you’re so awesome. You can even write them down so you can refer to them during the interview. (Here’s how to quantify your accomplishments, even if you don’t work with numbers.)
13. Brush up on your interview skills.
How well you answer interview questions isn’t everything—though it is a lot. Interviewers are also consciously or subconsciously picking up on how well you use other interview skills such as active listening, small talk, and empathy. These skills not only help you impress an interviewer, but also give them a sense of what it might be like to work you as a colleague.
14. Practice—but don’t memorize—your answers to common interview questions.
You can and should familiarize yourself with common interview questions—but don’t prepare by writing out your entire answer; instead, jot down a few notes or bullet points and keep them on hand for the interview itself. You’ll ensure you cover the bases—without reading from a script. Practice looking in the mirror and answering them out loud. This prep work will help you clarify your thoughts and make you much more comfortable during the interview.
15. Think about body language.
Brush up on what certain body language conveys. Be aware of what you’re communicating through your posture and stance—and make sure it’s good. (For example, sitting with your arms and legs crossed sends a message that you are closed-off or feel defensive.) Think your movements through ahead of time so you’re not distracted (or distracting) during the interview. If you’re on video, think about how you’ll show that you’re actively engaged in that format—putting the Zoom window near your camera so you’re not looking away from your interviewer, for example, or making non-verbal gestures or expressions to show that you’re listening without cutting off their microphone.
16. Try some mock interviews.
If you have the time, do a few mock interviews with a friend or loved one. You’ll be much better at answering, “What would you bring to the position?” the 100th time you do it and you’ll know ahead of time where you want to put your hands or how you want to sit.
17. Write down questions you’ll ask them.
Most interviews will wrap up with “Do you have any questions for me?” and you should absolutely have some questions. You can start with this list of interview questions to ask, but you should also plan some questions that are very specific to the job and company. And prepare more than you think you’ll need—you don’t want to ask questions that have already been answered or be left without any backup options if the interviewer already touched on your first two questions during your conversation.
18. Plan for what you’ll do if you’re caught off guard.
You can’t prepare for everything, but you can prepare to handle the unexpected—like an interview question you don’t know how to answer. For example, you can come up with a go-to phrase that’ll help you avoid dead air if you need time to stall and gather your thoughts. Two strategies that work well are repeating the question thoughtfully before answering or saying (slowly), “Now, that is a great question. I think I would have to say…”
19. Prepare for technical interviews or skill tests.
If you’re getting ready for a technical interview or you’ve been told there will be a skill test during your interview, start preparing and practicing as early as possible. Working through a prep book or sample questions will not only give you good practice, but it’ll also put you in the right problem-solving mindset.

Get ready to present yourself well and figure out all of the interview logistics.
Once you’ve prepped for the content of your interview, it’s time to make sure you walk in looking put together and feeling confident.
20. Figure out what to wear.
Unless you’re prepping for a phone interview, you’ll need to take your physical appearance into account. (And yes, for video interviews, that does include pants.) Not sure what to wear? Ask a contact at the company if you have one or scope out photos on their social media or Muse profile and dress at least as professionally as employees do. For example, for a casual environment, business casual is appropriate for an interview.
21. Look appropriate and professional.
Don’t forget the little things. Make sure your outfit is cleaned, ironed or steamed, and tailored if needed (a modern fit is best). Shine your shoes, check for loose hems, and make sure your fingernails look neat. Do a little pampering, because looking your best helps you feel your best. If that means you need a facial, haircut, shave, or even a new interview outfit then by all means go for it! If you can’t afford an appropriate outfit, you can check out a local Goodwill or thrift store or search for services in your area that provide free or discounted interview clothes for people who are out of work. Feeling good about yourself will boost your confidence—and we probably don’t have to tell you that confidence is key to landing the job.
22. Print out copies of your resume.
If you’re going to an in-person interview, you’ll want to bring enough copies of your resume for everyone you’re meeting with plus one to refer to yourself. However, if you have a phone or video interview it can still be useful to print out a hard copy of your resume to easily refer back to.
23. Prepare a reference list.
Prepare a reference list, whether you think you’ll be asked for it or not. For each reference, include a name, title, organization, division or department, telephone number, and email address, as well as a sentence briefly explaining the relationship (e.g., “Carlton was my team leader for two years, during which we collaborated on four major product launches”). If you have an in-person interview, a hard copy is a good idea, and for any later-round interview, being prepared to send off the file as soon as you’re asked for it shows how you prepare ahead of time.
24. Test any needed tech.
If you’re doing your interview over the computer or the phone, make sure ahead of time that all the needed hardware, software, and network connections are working smoothly. If you can use headphones with a microphone, do so, and make sure they’re connected before the interview begins.
25. Pack your bag ahead of time.
Whatever purse, backpack, or briefcase you carry should be large enough to hold your everyday essentials, plus your interview musts, such as extra resumes and a notepad, as well as a special emergency kit stocked with what you might need in an unexpected situation (think: Band-Aids, a stain stick, an umbrella, and breath mints). Here’s a general checklist of what to bring to an interview so you’re super prepared. And clean out that bag! If you have to dig past candy wrappers, phone chargers, and old receipts to get that resume, you’re going to look a little disorganized.
26. Figure out where you’re going and how you’re getting there.
Whether you’re driving or taking public transportation, make sure you look up your route ahead of time (including where you’ll park). Buy any needed tickets, add needed money to your metro card, fill up your tank, or do anything that could slow you down on the way to your interview. Know how long it should take you to get there and add plenty of extra time in case of traffic or transit delays.
27. Prepare your environment (if needed).
If you’re doing a remote interview, you’re responsible for your environment, so make sure that you’re in a quiet place without distractions and that anything you’ll need to reference during the interview is laid out in front of you along with a notepad, working pen, and beverage. For video interviews, you’ll also need to pay attention to what’s going on behind you, so choose a plain or non-distracting background to sit in front of and make sure your shot is free of clutter and well lit ahead of time.
28. Fill in an interview cheat sheet.
You can use an interview cheat sheet to compile all the details you need to remember, jot down notes about what you want to say and ask, and check off all the essentials of what to bring to the interview. Print one out for every interview, read it over the morning of, and you’ll be good to go! (We made one for you right here!)
29. Get a good night’s sleep.
This sounds like something your mom would tell you, but there are few things that will throw you off your game like sleep deprivation.
30. Calm your nerves and/or get psyched.
Immediately before the interview (or as close to the time as possible) you’ll want to get yourself in the right headspace. Expect to be nervous and plan ahead of time to use whatever tools you need. These methods are different for everyone, so think about what’ll work for you. Maybe there’s a friend who can pump you up (or talk you down) over the phone or text or a song that always makes you feel like you can do anything. Perhaps you need to do some breathing exercises or give yourself a pep talk in your car. Whatever will get you ready to go into your interview confident, calm, positive, and ready to ace it.

15 Interview Questions You Should Be Prepared to Answer
Luckily, you’re not going to let that happen again, and you’re planning ahead to ace this interview. The best way to prepare for anything is to do your research ahead of time.
1. Tell me about yourself?
Most interviews start with this question, and how you answer it can help you make a good first impression. If you stumble over the answer and aren’t quite sure what to say, it may show a lack of self-confidence. If you start listing all your greatest accomplishments and talk too much, your ego might look a little too big. Try to find a balance between being confident and not pretentious.
The best way to prepare for this question is to prepare an elevator pitch about who you are. Skip your personal history and give about 2-3 sentences about your career path and how you ended up in this interview, applying for this job. You don’t need to be too detailed, there are plenty more questions coming. You just want to leave enough curiosity that the interviewer becomes excited to learn more about you throughout the interview.
2. Why do you want to work for [insert company name]?
When a hiring manager asks this question, not only do they want to know why you want to work for them, but they also want to know what you know about the company. This question tests how well you know what the company does and how passionate you are about the work they do–so make sure you know the company well and can speak truthfully about your desire to work there.
3. How did you hear about this job?
When asked this during an interview, don’t just say you heard about the job on a website. This is your opportunity to go into more detail about why you love this company and what motivates you to want to work there. Moreover, if you have a personal connection at the company, this would be a good time to mention their name!
4. Tell me about something on your resume.
Everyone has something on their resume that they’re really proud of. Whether it’s a skill or achievement you’ve listed or a specific place you worked, consider answering this question by calling out the most interesting thing on your resume. Don’t just say something relevant to your most recent position — you’re already going to be asked about that. Instead, think back to one of the older positions listed on your resume and talk about how that experience helped you grow into the person you are today.
5. Why are you looking for a job? Or, why are you looking for a different job?
This question might seem innocuous, but this is how interviewers weed out the people who are either a) just looking for any job b) were fired from their last position, or c) might have a high turnover rate, meaning you won’t be sticking around for too long. Focus on the positives and be specific. Think about why you are looking for a job: did you just graduate and this will be your first real job? Are you switching career paths? Are you leaving your current job for this one?
If you are currently working somewhere, you should also be prepared to answer, “why do you want to leave your current job for this one?”
6. Why should we hire you?
When asked this question, keep in mind that the recruiter is looking to hear what skills you have that you’re going to bring to the team. Don’t give a vague answer, such as, “I’m friendly and a hard worker.” Be specific, summarize your work history and achievements, and use specific examples when possible.
For example, say how many years of experience you have or name some of the accomplishments you made at your last company. The more specific you can be about what your skills are and how valuable of an employee you are, the easier it’ll be for the interviewer to picture you working there.
7. Where do you see yourself in five years?
This can seem like a heavy question during an interview, especially when you haven’t prepared for it ahead of time. Keep in mind that you’re in an interview setting — so you don’t need to go into all the details about what your personal life goals are for the next five years. Focus on your career goals and be realistic.
If you plan to work at this company for five years, make sure you understand who would be working above you and what potential career growth there is. The hiring manager asks this question to find out if you set realistic goals, if you are ambitious, and to confirm that the position you are interviewing for aligns with these goals and growth.
If this position isn’t exactly a job with a lot of future opportunities, you can simply answer this by noting that you are not certain what your future is going to look like, but that you believe this position is going to help you navigate yourself in the right direction.
8. Tell me about a conflict you faced at work and how you dealt with it.
This question is important to ace because it helps an interviewer understand how you deal with conflict. It also helps test how well you think on your feet. Prepare ahead of time with a specific example to avoid the awkward moment of silence while you try to think of an example.
Once you have an example in mind, explain what happened and how you resolved the issue in a professional manner, and try to end the story with a happy note about how you reached a resolution or compromise with your co-worker.
9. What is your dream job?
Similar to the “where do you see yourself in five years” question, the interviewer is looking to understand how realistic you are when setting goals, how ambitious you are, and whether or not the job and company will be a good place for you to grow.
Again, try to set aside your personal goals (don’t say your dream job is to be paid to take Instagram photos) and focus on your career goals. Think about how this job is going to set you up for the future and get you closer to your dream job. But, don’t be that person who says, “to be CEO of this company.”
10. What do you expect out of your team/co-workers?
This question is meant to understand how you work on a team and whether you will be the right cultural fit for the company. To prepare for this answer, make sure you research the company ahead of time. You can always tell a little bit about what a company’s culture is like by looking through their social media profiles or reading their reviews on Glassdoor.
11. What do you expect from your manager?
Again, the hiring manager is looking to understand what kind of employee you would be and whether you will be a good fit to add to their team. In some interviews, your future manager might be interviewing you. Answer this question as honestly as possible, and pull examples from your current manager if you can show how they positively help you work better.
12. How do you deal with stress?
Answering this question will help hiring managers identify any potential red flags you might have. You want to show that you can handle stress in a professional and positive manner that helps you continue working or won’t stop you from accomplishing your goals. Moreover, be specific and explain what you actually do to deal with stress — like taking a 15-minute break to take a walk outside, crossing items off on a to-do list, etc.
13. What would the first 30 days in this position look like for you?
This question helps a company understand what you will get done in your first month, to three months in the position–and how you answer it will signal whether or not you’re the right person for the job. Start by mentioning what information you would need to get started and what would help you transition into the new role. Then focus on your best skills and how you would apply those to this position right away.
14. What are your salary requirements?
Some interviewers ask this question, others don’t. It’s always better to be prepared, especially because you want to make sure you’ll get paid a fair wage for the value you are going to add.
15. Do you have any questions?
The last question you will always be asked during an interview is whether or not you have any questions for the interviewer. This is your chance to really stand out — so make sure you have your questions prepared and avoid asking ones that have already been answered.
Keep a list of at least three to five questions in the back of your mind so there are at least two questions you have to ask at the end of the interview. Recruiters say they actually enjoy getting to answer some questions at the end of an interview.

1. Describe yourself in one word
Why are you asking this? The interlocutor is trying to determine your personality type and degree of self-confidence, as well as to find out if your work style matches the style adopted in the company.
What’s the catch? This question is dangerous in the early stages of an interview when you have no idea who the potential employer is looking for. What’s the catch? This question is a real minefield, because the concept of success is very subjective. Any, even the most reasonable answer, can be misinterpreted.

Are you looking for other vacancies?

In our company, for each position, there is a list of key competencies that a candidate applying for a particular position must possess. Therefore, depending on the vacancy, we ask questions that will allow us to determine the level of expression of competencies. There are a lot of such questions, but they are united by the fact that they are all tied to the candidate’s real experience and to real working cases, which we ask you to describe in detail. The catch with these questions is that the candidate won’t be able to give us socially desirable answers or come up with a detailed case study on the fly that wasn’t there in their experience. For example:
“Tell me about a situation where you failed to achieve your goal. What did you do to solve the problem? Why was the result not achieved? What conclusions did you draw?

We study the experience and motivation of the candidate in the process of free friendly conversation and do not set traps for anyone. But for some positions, especially Junior, the ability to think outside the box is important at Bercut. This is difficult to determine in a standard interview. Therefore, we use logical puzzles. We are interested in the way the candidate thinks, and we ask you to voice his decision process. Sometimes the course of the decision is more important than the correct result. And sometimes the ability to solve a simple logical problem is an indicator for us that a candidate can pull himself together and give a quick result in a stressful situation. If such qualities are required for the position for which we are looking for a candidate, then the problem becomes a trick question. How to answer non-standard questions in an interview
Imagine a candidate comes to an interview, he is ready for smart questions about his career and knowledge. And then he is asked a non-standard question, for which he is not ready: “How many times a day do the clock hands coincide in one position?”, “For how much money will you wash all the windows in the city?”, “Why is the manhole cover round?”.
Such a question can drive even an experienced specialist into a stupor.
How not to get confused in such a situation?
The first thing to remember is that confusion in this situation is a normal reaction. HR managers know this and will calmly accept your request to think for a few minutes.
Interviews may ask a non-standard logic question to see your reasoning and problem-solving skills in action. It’s not so much the correct answer that matters, but your reaction.

How many windows are there in all the buildings in our city?
This is one of the logic questions. The goal is to see how quickly you get together, take on the search for a solution and argue the answer. You obviously don’t know the exact answer. Instead of freaking out and avoiding the question, take the chance to show off your problem-solving skills.
It’s okay to ask for a few minutes to think and then present your solution plan:
“I would solve this problem in three steps. I have some assumptions and now I need to divide the problem into groups. The last step is to do the calculations. Tell me about your hobbies
When planning your answer, choose your hobbies that are related to work. Highlight the skills and qualities that develop through these hobbies. Find a connection between the position and hobbies (the job description and the company website will help with this). It is also important how you talk about your hobbies. For example, volunteer experience can be tied to communication skills and strong soft skills, sports to leadership qualities, tourism to organizational skills.

Questions to ask the employer
At the end of the interview, the candidate is usually asked if he has any questions. This is not just an act of courtesy. This is another chance for the candidate to prove himself.
Two reasons to ask the employer:
Show that you are interested in the company and position, that you have done your homework and learned everything about the company’s field of activity.
Avoid unpleasant surprises. By asking about the state and future of the business during the interview, you can predict whether there will be cuts or salary delays in the near future.
First, ask a clarifying question about responsibilities. The wording “Did I understand correctly that …” is suitable.

Not every question is a good question. Do not ask questions that are answered in the job description or on the company’s website.

Summing up
Preparing for an interview is the key to success. Find as much information as possible about and the vacancy: in the job description, on the company’s website, on other sites, in social networks. Highlight those of your skills that the company needs.

1.3. The marketing manager belongs to the category of specialists and reports directly to the head of the marketing department of the Company.
1.4. The marketing manager is responsible for:
timely and high-quality fulfillment of the assigned tasks;
performance and labor discipline;
safety of information (documents) containing information constituting a commercial secret of the Company, other confidential information, including personal data of the Company’s employees;
ensuring safe working conditions, maintaining order, compliance with fire safety rules in the premises of the department.
1.5. Persons with a higher professional (economic or engineering-economic) education and at least 1 year of work experience in the specialty in the field of marketing can be appointed to the position of a marketing manager.
1.6. In practice, the marketing manager should be guided by:
legislation, regulations, as well as local acts and organizational and administrative documents of the organization (enterprise), regulating the work of marketing, the activities of the sales service and department;
internal labor regulations;

Kindergarten in Andorra is presented at all resorts. We will tell you about a kindergarten in the Grandvalira ski resort, which annually accepts small skiers to learn how to ski. Each sector of Grandvalira has a kindergarten where you can leave your child for the duration of your skiing under the supervision of an instructor. We will tell you more about the kindergarten in Encamp. After climbing the Funicamp, exit the lift room and turn right. You will see a building that includes a ski school, equipment rental and a kindergarten. The kindergarten will be glad to see children from three to six years old.
What is a kindergarten in Andorra
Kindergarten in Andorra is a large room conditionally divided into zones: a dressing room, play areas, a dining room and a separate room with toilets. The garden is equipped with toys from the Imaginarium store. There is a TV for watching cartoons, there are books. The child will be offered to draw or make some crafts with their own hands.
Kindergarten instructors will treat you to cocoa and sweets. Drinking water is always available. A Russian-speaking instructor-educator works in the garden. During the day, children with an instructor go skiing. Skiing is organized before and after lunch. Children usually ride on the training slope. If the child is not yet on skis, then the instructor will work with him individually for no more than 30 minutes. If the child has already mastered braking on skis and is not afraid to climb on the drag lift, then the classes will be held in a group with other children and their duration will be 60- 90 minutes per day.
