We so far love the school and the teachers! My 7 month old baby always seems happy when he is dropped off and doesn’t seem desperate to leave when we pick him up. Sometimes I will peek in before I enter the room and I love watching the staff reading, playing or cuddling my son. I love the constant updates I receive about my child and the quick responses to any written messages I may leave. We are

always greeted with the warmest welcome and I love the little smile that crosses my son’s face when he sees or hears his teachers in the morning. Its been a great experience for us and as long as we live in the area, we will continue to keep our son enrolled with the school.

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Woodward Park KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community.  Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Soccer and Dance classes with TumbleAmerica

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Parents stop looking! You’ve found the best! I am so thankful to the amazing staff at KinderCare. I enrolled my daughter when she was 18 months and it was worth it. I am a full-time working mom and let me tell you, it gets tough during the day when I miss my baby who is now four years old. What I love about KinderCare is their open-door policy. I can pop in at any time to visit, even to pick my daughter up to have a lunch date, and take her back to the center after. Now that she is in preschool, I am confident that choosing KinderCare was the right choice. Her preschool teacher is constantly expressing to me how smart my daughter is and well mannered. I appreciate a school who teaches the same values I teach at home. Thank you KinderCare!

    Adriana – KinderCare Parent
  • CLEAN, SAFE, and FRIENDLY is what best describe Woodward Park KinderCare! As a working mother I wish I could stay home and educate my girls at a personal level, but I can’t. I feel the caretakers do just that and I am so blessed to have my girls enrolled here. Oh and I have traveled to nearly all day cares in Fresno and none have pleased me like this one.

    Brenetta S. – KinderCare Parent
  • I absolutely love it here. As a new single and working mom (previously stay-at-home mom) the ladies have made me feel so comfortable with leaving my two-year-old in their care. Putting him in daycare was a scary thought for me, but my little one loves it and so do I! His teachers are wonderful and show him so much love. Thank you so much to all the teachers at KinderCare!! You guys are awesome!!

    Shelby W. – KinderCare Parent
  • My twins have been at this facility since they were six months old. The love and care that they got from the teachers was wonderful. The everyday educational and creative activities they provide are quite impressive. The overall facility is clean, bright and welcoming. The Director and Assistant Director were always available to answer questions. Without any reservations, I would recommend this center to others.

    Shreya K. – KinderCare Parent
  • As a parent of a two-year-old I am excited that he is attending KinderCare Learning Center. Once I walked in I suddenly felt the warmth and welcoming spirits from the Director and all of the KinderCare staff. I love the fact that they are committed to not only watching over the children, but also instill creativity and personal skills. The joy is great when I am able to pick up my child and he cries to stay longer. That speaks wonders of the teachers there and I will definitely stay committed to the KinderCare Learning Center of Fresno, California.

    Mushana M. – KinderCare Parent

We are talking about a completely new concept: right before our eyes, the evolution of humanity is taking place. And yet, to many, this idea seems unacceptable, too politicized and even religious. Is it really that radical? Can we dismiss her just because she looks so intimidating and ticklish?

    Improvements in human consciousness

A couple of years ago I came across an abstruse review. It was published in the business section of Fresno Vee on May 11, 2003, and dealt with sociologist Morris Schechtman’s book The Fifth Wave Leaders. Fresno is in California, it’s very hot there. The article made a strong impression on me: it said that sociologists study the impact on society of individuals. It could be said differently: they study shifts in the minds of people. The article went on to argue that a new way of thinking was being formed. And that in the entire history of mankind there have been only four social revolutions, and we are witnessing the fifth! Can I give you another quote?

“Sociologists distinguish four social revolutions: hunters/gatherers became farmers. During the Industrial Revolution, farmers became factory workers; then the industrial revolution was replaced by the information one; information culture laid the foundation for the formation of a rapidly growing global information society. Now we are experiencing the fifth revolution, when our future no longer depends on external events, it depends on what is happening inside us.

The Fresno Way, May 11, 2003, book review

Jan and I are bringing this information to you because it gives us the right to talk about things that until now have been considered impossible. Now the exact sciences and sociology are gradually coming over to our side. It is very likely that we are witnessing changes in human nature, and they were first noted in children born with new characteristics. In keeping with Nancy’s definition, we will continue to refer to people with these traits as Indigo Children.

The great split: the medical community against reality

It is rather strange that the most ardent opponents of these ideas were the very professionals from whom one could only expect support. We are talking about pediatricians – doctors who are directly related to children. Jen and I occasionally read articles by these childhood illness experts and watch their television interviews on the Indigo phenomenon. Every time they talk about him with prejudice and ask him not to get carried away with newfangled fantasy. In their words one can hear: “Come on, guys, let’s go down from heaven to Earth. Children are children.”

Meanwhile, the community of pediatricians is shaken by a new problem: an avalanche-like increase in cases of attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These diseases are spreading like a plague, forcing professionals to resort to a tried and tested remedy – psychotropic pills.

When you start a conversation on this topic, they limit themselves to an excuse: they say that these syndromes have always existed, but only now doctors have learned to diagnose and treat them. When we undertook to study the phenomenon of Indigo, I wanted to check whether this is really so. I went to kindergartens and interviewed teachers with more than twenty years of experience, asking them if they had experienced attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which supposedly “had always been”, or perhaps they noticed something new.

If doctors didn’t want to talk about it – because they weren’t taught it, and besides, it was difficult for them to accept a new idea – then I wanted to get first-hand information, from people with real experience with children.

It was these conversations that shook Jen and me so much that we decided to take on the first book. Wherever we turned, practical teachers who deal with children every day told us a lot of interesting things. They unanimously asserted: children change! Their personalities change – and adults should take this into account in their behavior. Discipline is a thing of the past (except when the adult understood what the child wanted and changed his actions accordingly).

Relations between children have also changed. They began to communicate differently during games, and also began to (deep breath!) Take care of each other. Adults who spend hours watching other people’s children say that already at a very early age, babies show compassion that was not noticed in them before. This is a new feature and has never happened before. Such facts were ignored until we wrote about it.

The result of this study is one of the best constellations of authors we have been able to collect. Among them are university professors, scientists specializing in pedagogy, medical workers, intellectuals and businessmen. They are ready to give you their unbiased opinion on the phenomenon of the Indigo Children. Some will share recommendations on what parents and teachers should do, others will simply talk about their experiences, thus adding to the overall picture.

In the first book, Indigo Children, Jen and I expressed the hope that someday professionals working with children would believe in the reality of the existence of this phenomenon. Then we collected a lot of parental stories … But we wanted the scientific community to have its say. Finally it happened. Thus, a new book was born (which is why the first part, “Educators Speak,” is the longest).

You probably noticed that this time our book turned out to be international: for the shift in consciousness experienced by humanity should cover the whole world, manifesting itself in children of all countries and continents. And indeed it is. That is why we present you several articles by foreign authors.

Read “Meridians of the map and the soul” – Kaputikyan Silva Barunakovna – Page 15

The Tatar really wants to send something as a gift to his little correspondent, he fumbles around the room with his eyes, – maybe some kind of postcard or chewing gum, self-writing, – but there is nothing at hand. I promise to give one of my pens to Gayane from him. The old man is happy. At parting, we kiss, he whispers the words that, like “Our Father”, repeat all the Armenians of the Diaspora when the time comes for parting:

    – Say hello to Armenia.

The meeting with Tigran Melikyan in Montreal was also preceded by a telephone conversation.

Intermittent, agitated voice in the receiver, I can hardly make out the words. I promise to find time and visit, because I heard that he, one of the respected people in the colony, is now paralyzed after a stroke.

Two small rooms with whitewashed walls in a larger multi-storey building in a new, remote area of the city. He recently arrived here from Cyprus, where his relatives had been living for a very long time. He moved to Canada because there are two of his married daughters. Closely associated with Soviet Armenia, Tigran Melikyan was the chairman of the Repatriation Committee in Cyprus, and at 19In 61, the Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries invited him to stay in Armenia.

Judging by the trembling voice on the phone, I thought I would see an old man pinned to the bed. It turned out not so. In a metal wheelchair is a handsome, immaculately dressed elderly man with almost no wrinkles on his face. There is humor in the speech.

“There is such a parable,” he says, laughing. One person comes to visit another. They treat him to glory. Parting, the guest laments: “Oh-oh, and why did we just meet, why did we become friends, why did I come to visit you, why did you put up such a treat? It would be better if I didn’t know you…” The stunned host froze for a moment, until it dawned on him that this was a peculiar form of enthusiastic gratitude. The same is true with my arrival in Armenia. I could also say: why did I go, why did I see Armenia? Now it’s harder to live without her.

Tigran Melikyan filled the short time of our meeting with memories of those days. When the tape recorder played back his speech delivered on the Yerevan radio, it seemed to me that I was at home and late in the evening I was listening to the daily broadcast for the Diaspora.

“I have come to see with my own eyes my homeland, Soviet Armenia, which you created with your own hands. Glory to you, my relatives! When the bell sounded the alarm, when we were on the verge of death, it was then that the voice of a friend, the voice of salvation, came to us: “No, you must, you will live,” and the friendly hand of disinterested help reached out to us. We remember this hand. Our magnanimous brother, the Russian people, glory to you…”

The great discoveries of the 20th century, in other words, scientific and technological revolution, brought a lot of complex, unforeseen things into a person’s life, but they also gave him a lot. And one of these gifts is sound recording, when an inanimate, narrow plastic strip bending under the hand, as if alive, absorbs and stores the voice of a person that once sounded, a smile, sigh, breath hidden in this voice, saves everything, and now, after many years, comes to life. in front of you is that long-gone minute, a word once uttered, and in it, in this word, the young beating of your already worn out, old heart. To the usual material evidence and traces left from the lived fleeting life – letters, diaries, albums, photographs – these magic cassettes-cassettes were added, where a few precious seconds from the rapid flight of time were captured and stopped.

That’s what I was thinking when I listened to the words of Tigran Melikyan recorded on tape and saw the blissful expression on his face, the rapid alternation of the most diverse feelings. This old man would have lost a lot if he didn’t have this little plastic reel with fifteen days of happiness wound around it right here at hand. The tape unwinds and each time again and again with a blue vein connects it, connects it with that pulsating artery that is called the people, the Motherland, life.

In Fresno, visiting the writer Vage Gaik, I felt very tired and asked the hostess to give me the opportunity to be alone for a few minutes, to rest.

As soon as the head touched the pillow, a stooped, gray-haired man entered the room without knocking.

    — Please, excuse me. – His voice is thick, Harberd, which sounds so strange in this Californian distance. – I’m from Kharberd, my name is Napoleon Hayachyan. I have vineyards here. I was in Armenia, I saw Yerevan. His eyes softened, and so did his voice. “I don’t have any relatives in the world. I really want to live in Armenia… no, not as a tourist, but just for at least three or four months. I want to come and every day early in the morning to come to the kindergarten, stand aside, look at the children. I don’t need anything else … Stand and look. I am childless, but those children are mine. All. Here, when I spend a cent more, it seems to me that I spend their share. I already made a will. Not very rich, but what I have, I want to get to Armenia, to kindergartens …

I don’t know what to say. This moment seems to me a sacred oath, which I have no right to break either with a gesture or a word…

    March 25, Yeghvard

In Canada, Armenians mostly live in Montreal and Toronto. So my Canadian program spent a whole week in Toronto.

I traveled from Montreal by car of Suren Akkibrityan, a furrier, a frequent visitor in Yerevan, my old acquaintance. Everyone who comes to Montreal from Armenia immediately falls under the care of Suren, who is so hospitable, so wholeheartedly does everything he can for the visitor. Therefore, when Suren appears in Yerevan, a queue of people who want to invite him to their place literally forms in the “Armenia” hotel, to repay him for hospitality as generously as possible.

All the way to Toronto, Suren turned on his ever-talking tape recorder, so the voice of the third passenger was always heard; there are almost no recordings of music and songs on the tape, but only speeches. Elda, Suren’s wife, came to Armenia for two months to attend teacher retraining courses – and here you are, the tape “immortalized” the lectures given at these courses. Our scientists and public figures were guests in Montreal, the tape also captured their performances here. No matter how much I had to ride in Suren’s car, he invariably regaled me with these records. Thus, during my stay in Montreal, I learned the “grammar of the Armenian language” almost “perfectly”, learned the figures of “a steep rise in agriculture in Armenia”, found out the role of “Armenian architecture in world architecture” and much, much more. Suren turned on these endless speeches and lectures, beaming with pleasure, enthusiastic and happy, waiting for my response. Try to resist such childish delight from everything connected with Armenia!

Unlike Montreal, in Toronto the reins of the Armenian colony are in the hands of young people. Especially active among them is Hrach Poyajyan, the editor of the weekly program for Canadian Armenians “Tekeyani Dzain” on radio and television, unusually energetic and businesslike. He literally tore a few hours out of my extremely busy time and took me to the studio to record.

Before that, together with him, we went to the office to extend my stay.

The office was quite crowded, we got in line, and when we got closer, an unfriendly, dull face of an elderly woman looked right at us from the window.

    – God forbid from the ladies-rulers! I whispered half-jokingly, half-seriously to Poyadzhyan. — Just fall into their hands… Not only will they extend it, but they will cut it down…

I fervently suggested even reorganizing on the move to the window behind which the man was sitting, but Grach had already handed me my passport. The woman silently took it, and while I waited in trepidation for her to return it with a polite refusal, suddenly a kind of smile flickered on her dry face, which quickly grew into outright benevolence.
