Free preschool in Colorado: How to apply for universal pre-K

A student teacher works with preschoolers at Lowry Elementary in Denver. Colorado’s free preschool application opens Jan. 17.

The parent application for Colorado’s new free preschool program opened at 8 a.m. on Tuesday — a major milestone in the march toward the program’s launch next summer.

The program, funded in part by a voter-approved nicotine tax, will offer 10 to 15 hours a week of tuition-free preschool to 4-year-olds statewide, with some eligible for 30 hours a week. In addition, some 3-year-olds will be eligible for 10 hours a week.

The application for free preschool is open. Families who fill out the application by Feb. 14, will find out what preschool their child matched with around March 17.

Fill out the application here

State officials expect about 30,000 children to opt into the universal preschool program in its first year. That’s about half the number that will be eligible.

Here’s what families need to know about the online preschool application:

Who gets free preschool and what age do they have to be?

Three groups of children qualify: 4-year-olds, some 3-year-olds who need extra help, and a small number of 5-year-olds who are too young for kindergarten.

Let us explain. The new preschool program is designed for children in the year before they go to kindergarten — children who turn 4 before the state’s Oct. 1 cutoff date. The state will pay for 15 hours a week of preschool for these students at no cost to parents. Some preschool providers may offer only 10 hours a week — for example, a school district that offers K-12 classes only four days a week.

Some 4-year-olds will get 30 hours of free preschool a week, including those from lower-income families, who speak a language besides English at home, are homeless, in foster care, or have disabilities.

The new preschool program will also cover 10 hours a week of preschool for 3-year-olds in these same groups.

What about 5-year-olds who aren’t in kindergarten yet?

Some 5-year-olds will qualify for free preschool and some won’t. Children who live in school districts with kindergarten cutoff dates before Oct. 1 will qualify if they turn 5 after the district’s cutoff date and before Oct. 1. For example, a child in a district where children must turn 5 by Aug. 1 to attend kindergarten, will qualify for free preschool if they turn 5 in September. (The application may indicate these children are not eligible. State officials say families should contact the group coordinating universal preschool in their area if this happens. Search this county-by-county list to find contact information for the right local group.)

Five-year-olds who could go to kindergarten but have been held out by their families — a practice often called redshirting — won’t be able to get free preschool through the new state program.

What do I need to fill out the application? Are there income requirements?

Many families will need about 15 minutes and not much else. The application is offered in English, Spanish, and Arabic, and parents should be able to complete the application on a cell phone or computer.

Families whose household income qualifies their 4-year-olds for extra hours or allows them to enroll a 3-year-old will need to upload documents that prove their income. Families that earn up to 270% of the federal poverty limit — about $81,000 a year for a family of four — fall into this category.

If that describes you, this FAQ lays out which documents the state will accept for proof of household income.

Families who qualify for 3-year-old preschool or extra hours of 4-year-old preschool for reasons other than income levels — perhaps their child has a disability or is learning English — won’t need to show proof of income.

Check this FAQ for details about which documents the state will accept for proof of household income.

How do I know how many hours my child will get?

The online application system will tell you how many hours your child is eligible for after you enter a few pieces of information. There are four possibilities:

  • Not eligible: Your child is too young, too old, or doesn’t live in Colorado.
  • 10 hours: If your child is 3 and meets one or more of the eligibility criteria.
  • 15 hours: If your child is 4.
  • 30 hours: If your child is 4 and meets one or more of the eligibility criteria.

Can I pick my child’s preschool?

Yes. Families will be asked to pick up to five preschools they’d like their child to attend and will be able to rank their choices. Options include school-based preschools, church-based preschools, preschool programs inside child care centers, and state-licensed home-based preschools.

Search and map functions are available to narrow down the choices. You can look for the program your child already attends or explore new options. Children will be prioritized for a spot in a preschool if they’re already enrolled there, if a sibling is enrolled there, or if a parent works there.

There are some cases where preschool providers may not accept a preschool match made by the application system. For example, a school-based preschool might turn away a child who lives outside district boundaries or an employer-based preschool that mainly provides care to children of company employees may not enroll the child of a non-employee. (During the application process, parents will see a blue banner indicating if selected preschools prioritize certain students.)

My child has a disability. What preschools can I pick?

If your child has a special education plan — officially called an Individualized Education Program, or IEP — your child will be served in a preschool classroom run by your school district. That’s because of the way special education laws are written.

If your child doesn’t have an IEP and you’re worried about a developmental delay, contact Child Find, the state’s early intervention program for 3- to 5-year-olds.

My child is 3. What preschools can I pick?

Three-year-olds will mostly be served in preschool classrooms run by their school districts. Some 3-year-olds may have non-school options, but only if their district partners with private preschools. That’s because of the way the state’s preschool law is written.

Parents of 3-year-olds won’t be able to select specific preschools on the state application. Instead, they’ll select their local school district. That’s because school districts are in charge of matching 3-year-olds to specific preschool programs.

What if I don’t see my child’s provider on the list?

Preschool providers don’t have to participate in the state’s universal preschool program, but more than 1,000 have chosen to and more are expected to sign up. State officials say if parents don’t find the preschool they want listed in the application system, they should reach out to the preschool provider and encourage them to sign up.

What if I need more hours than what my preschooler is eligible for?

You can still pay for extra hours above and beyond what the state covers for free, as long as the preschool offers more hours. You can also see if you qualify for financial help through other means, such as the state’s child care subsidy program for low-income families, called the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program.

Do I need to fill out the application right away?

Families who fill out the application by Feb. 24, the deadline for the first round of applications, will have more options and find out sooner which preschool they matched with.

The first application window runs from Jan. 17 to Feb. 24. (The original end date was Feb. 14, but state officials extended it.) Families will find out their match on March 30. State officials said families can still apply after Feb. 24, including through spring and summer.

I filled out the state’s preschool application. Do I have to fill out my school district’s school choice application, too?

Possibly. Some districts also want parents to fill out school choice forms if they want a spot in a district-run preschool. That includes Denver and Jeffco, the two largest school districts. If you choose a district-run option, check your local district’s enrollment website to see if they want you to apply there as well.

The state application will determine whether your child qualifies for free preschool and if so, for how many hours. It will also match 4-year-olds to a specific preschool. The district school choice system collects more information so that children can be enrolled in the program they matched with. For 3-year-olds, the district choice system is where families get matched with a specific preschool.

If families fail to fill out the district choice form, district officials they’ll reach out and work with them to get it done. In some cases, delays in filling out the district form could mean families end up with fewer preschool options.

What if I decide against the preschool my child was matched with?

You can reject the preschool match the state makes for you. However it’s possible you’ll have to resubmit your application.

When does free preschool start in Colorado?

Not until August or September, whenever the preschool program you matched with starts. Families will find out their matches sooner, but tuition coverage doesn’t kick in until late summer.

My child qualifies for free preschool. Can my preschool charge extra tuition or fees?

Yes and no. It depends how many hours of care your child needs each week.

Preschools participating in Colorado’s universal preschool program cannot charge families additional money — tuition, supply fees, or activity fees — for the free hours the child is eligible for through the state program.

However, preschools are allowed to charge for any additional hours they provide to a child above the number of free hours granted through the state. For example, if a 4-year-old receives 20 hours of preschool a week, but is only eligible for 15 free hours, the provider can charge tuition for the additional five hours, plus supply or activity fees for that extra time.

I have more questions. What should I do?

You have three options:

  • Check out the state’s universal preschool frequently asked questions page.
  • Contact the local group that’s coordinating the universal preschool program in your county or region. Here’s a county-by-county list of all the groups — the state calls them Local Coordinating Organizations or LCOs — with email addresses.
  • Contact the state’s help desk from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays. The number is 303-866-5223 and the email is [email protected]

Do you have a question you don’t see answered here or can’t find the answer to elsewhere? Let us know at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to find an answer.

Early childhood is an important period in a child’s development. Children learn a lot during the first 7 years of their life and acquire all the necessary abilities, as well as develop physical, social, emotional and educational skills. A child at preschool age is able to absorb a huge amount of information, gain basic knowledge and hone the skills that are necessary for further learning.

    Educational materials for preschool children

Early development of a child is important as it provides the basis for future school achievements. Teaching preschoolers is effective only if the child is interested in learning and the activity gives him pleasure.

Bright worksheets and didactic games help children learn and improve all kinds of skills in a playful way.

Fine motor skills and handwriting for children

    • worksheets for finding matching pairs or matches;
    • tasks for the development of graphomotor skills and training of children’s writing skills;
    • educational coloring pages;
    • templates for cutting and crafts.

Math games, activities and worksheets for toddlers and preschoolers

At the age of 2-3 years, children are introduced to numbers and counting up to 10. They can recognize geometric shapes and solve simple problems. Math activities for preschoolers will help develop children’s thinking and good performance in school. Some helpful tips from Wunderkiddy:

    1. Demonstrate the practical use of mathematics in real life. Pay attention to everything related to mathematics around you: shopping at the store, cooking according to a recipe, time, etc.
    2. Practice math skills for preschoolers with things they are interested in: toys, candy, nature, appliances, stationery, etc.
    3. Print out math games and worksheets for preschoolers to make learning activities fun and rewarding. Kids love the colorful and fun printables of educational materials, so our educational materials for toddlers will help develop an interest in learning.

Games and tasks for the development of children’s memory

Printed educational memory games develop the child’s ability to acquire knowledge and memorize large amounts of information. The activities also help the child better organize and remember their daily tasks: cleaning the room, putting pencils in a pencil case, brushing their teeth, or helping parents with simple household chores.

Thematic worksheets and games for each child

The correct choice of the topic of the material is the key to a successful developmental lesson. If you choose a worksheet or print out an educational game on a topic that is interesting for the child, then he will be purposeful, interested and active.

Many tasks require attention and perseverance of preschoolers. For children, this can be a problem if they do things they don’t like.

Free preschool in Colorado: How to apply for universal pre-K

A student teacher works with preschoolers at Lowry Elementary in Denver. Colorado’s free preschool application opens Jan. 17.

Inside Colorado’s free preschool initiative

Leer en español.

Free preschool in Colorado

Taking into account the three most important characteristics of children’s and preschool education – “play, knowledge, activity” – we have created for you the opportunity to print educational worksheets, didactic and board games, exciting tasks and many other materials for children from 1 to 7 years old. Bright worksheets and didactic games help children learn and improve all kinds of skills in a playful way.

Fine motor skills and handwriting for children

The development of fine motor skills is an extremely important stage for children. Educational activities with colorful worksheets will develop the habit of regular study. You can choose and print materials for preschoolers that he will like:

  • educational games for sorting objects;
  • worksheets for finding matching pairs or matches;
  • tasks for the development of graphomotor skills and training of children’s writing skills;
  • educational coloring pages;

Educational games for preschoolers on logic and critical thinking

You can learn to make the right decisions and think rationally even at preschool age. On our website, you can print educational games for logic and thinking for free to teach children to assess the situation and make the most correct and effective decisions.

Free Craft & Craft Templates

Print out paper craft templates and encourage toddlers’ creativity with crafts to decorate and play with. During creative activities, children develop imagination and thinking. Children also train other necessary skills: fine motor skills, cutting, logical and spatial thinking.

Materials for the development and entertainment of children at home and not only

  1. Select material by type, topic, category or age.
  2. Download or print free PDF file.
  3. If you want to reuse worksheets and games for children, we recommend laminated sheets of paper.
  4. For some toys, you will need additional materials, such as Velcro electronic games, small cars, crayons or glue.
  5. With a premium subscription, you can get exclusive educational games for preschoolers and other benefits on our website.

Wunderkiddy makes it easy and fun

  • We create e-learning materials that kids love and make learning fun and exciting.

Development of preschool children

The period of preschool age of children in Russia falls on the time of attending kindergarten – 3-7 years. Ideally, children receive a comprehensive, age-appropriate education in a group, but there are situations when parents want more advanced education or the child does not attend kindergarten. Then all sorts of circles, development schools, online courses, and so on come to the rescue.

Today we will consider the most popular developmental activities for children aged 3 to 7 years.

The goal of early childhood development

Why develop preschool children? This question has a right to exist. indeed, when viewed from the outside, children are inquisitive and active enough to develop on their own. However, the overestimated requirements of the modern world change the vector of development from natural to accelerated.

It is at preschool age that the foundation for the unborn child is laid: thinking, memory, psyche, independence, self-esteem. Parents should choose classes and circles, taking into account the wishes of the child and encouraging any results.

It is best to proceed in development from the needs of the child and combine activities so that all areas of the personality are covered:

  • memory and thinking;
  • mind and emotions;
  • growth and physical development.

What classes to choose, we will consider further.

Additional activities for preschool children

Comprehensive development of children helps them to become intellectual, independent, sociable, purposeful in the future.

Development of memory and thinking

Children’s memory is very flexible and directly depends on the emotional background. Preschoolers are great at remembering the information that evoked emotions in them. That is why it is important to choose the right teachers and training programs. Monotonous reading or instructions will not give results, but bright pictures, poems and videos will bear fruit.

By the age of 6, the child begins to understand the causal relationship, to monitor his actions, at this age, teachers recommend starting preparation for school.

Development of the psyche and emotions

Psycho-emotional development of a child – a start for a healthy self-awareness. Excessive loading of the child with activities, games and circles greatly depletes the body, therefore, along with intelligence, it is important to fill the child with positive emotions:

  • trips to the circus and theater;
  • joint games with peers;
  • watching movies and cartoons with parents;
  • travel.

It is up to adults whether a child grows up as a full-fledged personality. His behavior and hobbies should be encouraged and accepted.

Physical development of a preschool child

It is customary to devote most of the time to physical development: swimming, tennis, athletics, football, martial arts – all these circles are available to children even in state kindergartens.

Biomedical scientists carry out tests on samples taken by doctors and nurses in order to diagnose a range of illnesses and diseases

As a biomedical scientist, you’ll carry out a range of laboratory and scientific tests on tissue samples and fluids to help clinicians diagnose and treat diseases. You’ll also evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.

Your work is extremely important to many hospital departments, such as operating theatres and A&E, and the functions you carry out are wide ranging. For example, you may work on medical conditions such as cancer, diabetes or AIDS, screen for and monitor a range of diseases, or carry out tests for emergency blood transfusions.

Types of biomedical scientist

Biomedical scientists usually specialise in one of four areas: infection sciences, blood sciences, cell sciences or genetics and molecular pathology.

Infection sciences includes:

  • medical microbiology – identification of micro-organisms causing disease and their antibiotic treatment
  • virology – identification of viruses, associated diseases and monitoring the effectiveness of vaccines.

Blood sciences includes:

  • clinical chemistry – analysis of blood and body fluids to help with diagnoses, and toxicology studies
  • transfusion science – determination of donor/recipient blood compatibility, ensuring blood banks are sufficient
  • haematology – form and functions of diseases of the blood
  • immunology – understanding the immune system and its role in combating disease.

Cell sciences includes:

  • histopathology (also known as cellular pathology) – microscopic examination of diseased tissue samples to establish the cause of the disease
  • cytology – best known for cervical smear screening, but also covers other cellular analysis.

Genetics and molecular pathology includes:

  • genetics – study of genes and hereditary variations in genes
  • molecular pathology – study and diagnosis of disease through examination of tissues and fluids at molecular level.

For more information on the four laboratory disciplines, see the IBMS What is biomedical science?.

Responsibilities

As a biomedical scientist you’ll need to:

  • perform routine and specialist analytical testing on a range of biological samples
  • give test results to medical staff, who use the information to diagnose and treat the patient’s illness
  • process patient samples in good time and make sure that turnaround times for reporting results are achieved
  • prioritise your workload and perform urgent analytical testing as required
  • identify abnormal or unexpected results and report back and follow up with requesting clinicians
  • maintain and run specialist lab equipment
  • maintain and order stocks of materials
  • answer telephone enquiries about test results and other general lab issues
  • accurately record data, write reports and share results
  • develop new methods of investigation and keep up to date with diagnostic innovations
  • support the lab’s quality management system and observe all relevant health and safety regulations
  • supervise, mentor and support trainee biomedical scientists and other support staff
  • keep your professional knowledge up to date and take responsibility for your continuing professional development (CPD).

Salary

  • Starting salaries in the NHS range from £25,655 to £31,534 (Band 5).
  • With experience and/or specialist knowledge, you can earn a salary of £32,306 to £39,027 (Band 6).
  • As a senior biomedical scientist, you can expect to earn £40,057 to £53,219 (Band 7/8a). Salaries for consultant biomedical scientists, who have reached the top of their profession, are higher.

If you’re working in London and the surrounding areas you may receive a high-cost area supplement of between 5% and 20% of your basic salary.

Salary levels for biomedical scientists working for private companies, universities, government bodies and other organisations may vary.

Income data for NHS salaries from pay bands agreed under the Agenda for change pay rates.

Figures are intended as a guide only.

Working hours

If you’re employed by the NHS, you’ll generally work a standard 37.5 hour week. A flexible approach to work is essential to cover day, evening, night and weekend working.

Some opportunities exist for part-time work or job sharing. Self-employment is unlikely as it’s rarely possible to set up an independent laboratory.

What to expect

  • You will usually work in a laboratory using computers and hi-tech automated lab equipment.
  • You’ll work as part of a team that includes healthcare science staff, doctors (particularly those specialising in pathology) and nurses.
  • Vacancies are available across the UK in hospitals and private sector laboratories.
  • It’s also possible to follow a career in research or forensic science.
  • Although you won’t usually need to travel during the working day or spend time away from home, travel between sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

You’ll need to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to work as a biomedical scientist in the UK.

To achieve this you need to complete a BSc (Hons) degree in biomedical science accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) or approved by the HCPC. You will also need to successfully complete a period of clinical laboratory training in an IBMS-approved laboratory, where you’ll complete the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio.

IBMS-accredited undergraduate biomedical science degrees are offered by universities on a full-time, part-time, sandwich and integrated basis.

Integrated degrees will include a laboratory placement in an IBMS-approved laboratory, during which you’ll complete the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio. On successful completion of your degree, you will be awarded an IBMS Certificate of Competence to show you’re eligible to apply to the HCPC for registration as a biomedical scientist.

If your IBMS-accredited degree doesn’t have an integrated placement, you’ll need to arrange a laboratory placement and complete the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio either during a sandwich year or once you’ve finished your degree.

Alternatively, you can take a BSc (Hons) degree in healthcare science (life sciences) through the NHS Practitioner Training Programme (PTP), which must be accredited by the IBMS or approved by the HCPC if you want to be eligible to apply for registration as a biomedical scientist when you graduate. The degree takes three years, full time and combines academic and work-based learning. Completion of the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio is integral to this programme.

If you’re already working in an NHS pathology department and have A-levels or equivalent that include a life science, your employer may support you to complete an accredited degree on a part-time basis or as part of an IBMS-accredited degree apprenticeship programme.

If your degree isn’t accredited by the IBMS, contact them to have your degree assessed and they’ll advise on whether or not you need additional academic education. See the IBMS website for a list of accredited degree courses.

Skills

You will need to have:

  • practical laboratory skills and manual dexterity
  • analytical skills and the ability to present data in a meaningful way
  • communication and teamwork skills
  • the ability to work alone or under instruction
  • patience and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • a willingness to accept responsibility and use common sense
  • flexibility and the ability to work with a range of equipment and techniques
  • the ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards of service
  • attention to detail
  • IT skills.

Work experience

It’s worth arranging a visit to a local hospital diagnostic/medical laboratory before applying for degree courses to get a feel for the type of work carried out. A placement or other work experience in a laboratory and evidence of medical interest is useful.

Unless you have taken an integrated biomedical sciences degree, you’ll need to arrange a laboratory placement and complete the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio. You can do this either during a sandwich year or once you’ve finished your degree. Many IBMS-accredited courses will offer a placement or sandwich year as part of their degree course.

The NHS advertises pre-registration roles such as medical laboratory assistant or laboratory technician or you could try to set up your own placement.

Competition for trainee positions is fierce as there are limited opportunities, so check job adverts regularly and contact hospitals directly. Most hospitals will have an approved training laboratory, although this doesn’t automatically mean that they will take on a trainee.

You should check with the employer whether their laboratory is approved for training and if you are able to complete the Registration Training Portfolio as part of the job role.

Find out more about the different kinds of work experience and internships that are available.

Professional development

In the first two years after registering with the HCPC, you’ll normally continue your professional development by taking the IBMS Specialist Diploma, a specialised professional qualification. The Diploma is offered in a range of disciplines:

  • cellular pathology
  • cervical cytology
  • clinical biochemistry
  • clinical immunology
  • cytopathology
  • diagnostic cytopathology
  • haematology with hospital transfusion practice
  • histocompatibility and immunogenetics
  • medical microbiology
  • transfusion science
  • virology.

It’s also possible to take the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Blood Sciences or the Diploma of Specialist Practice.

You’ll need to provide evidence of your training, specialist knowledge, practical skills and competency via a portfolio, presentation, laboratory tour and oral examination.

On completion of the IBMS Specialist Diploma or Diploma of Specialist Practice, you’re eligible to become a member of the IBMS (MIBMS).

As your career develops, there are opportunities to take IBMS higher and expert qualifications. These are aimed at biomedical scientists looking to move into management or who want to show advanced skills in their specialist area. At the highest level, you can work towards IBMS Advanced Specialist Diplomas. For details of post-registration professional development opportunities, see IBMS Education.

It’s also possible to further your knowledge and expertise via an MSc or PhD.

Members with the highest levels of specialist knowledge, achievement and professional standards are eligible to apply for IBMS Fellowship (FIBMS).

With the right combination of experience, knowledge and skills, you may be eligible for registered scientist (RSci) or chartered scientist (CSci) status through the Science Council. For full registration criteria, see the Science Council professional registers.

Career prospects

Opportunities for career development are generally good. There’s a set career structure in place in the NHS and you’ll need to show you have the required skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to progress through the pay bands.

Upon qualification, many biomedical scientists choose to specialise in a particular area of biomedical science and progress to senior and specialist roles. To progress to a grade 6 in the NHS, you’ll usually need an IBMS Specialist Diploma. Progression to grade 7 usually requires an MSc or the IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma.

With further experience and qualifications, it’s possible to reach the top of the profession by becoming a consultant biomedical scientist. For more information, see IBMS Career Pathways.

Senior roles often involve managing a team or department within a laboratory, or managing a particular area of service provision such as health and safety, quality management or service delivery. You may also become involved in advanced specialist scientific work, clinical research or training and education. For information about careers in biomedical research, see The Academy of Medical Sciences.

Some biomedical scientists choose a postgraduate route to other clinical roles, such as endocrinology, or you may wish to move into health promotion or the commercial sector in product development or scientific sales and marketing.

Yes, master’s studies at Sechenov University are possible both on a budgetary and contract basis. Read more here.

I have a specialist diploma. Can I apply for a budget place in a master’s program?

If you are a bachelor’s degree graduate and do not yet have a specialist or master’s degree, then you can apply for a state-funded place. If you have a diploma of a graduate (obtained before 2014), then you also have the right to apply for a budget place.

JP Morgan boosts pay to $175k for associates. The banking skills that could get you killed

The difficult thing about an investment bank’s compensation structure is that it is exactly what the name suggests – a structure. Different points have to bear some sort of reasonably stable relationship to one another; you can’t have completely different pay scales for sales and trading compared to capital markets and advisory, and the salary increments between ranks have to be significant enough to make it worth people’s while to chase promotion. So when the analysts are getting big pay rises, it’s pretty certain that associates are also going to see an increment.

JP Morgan is the latest big bank to recognise this inevitability, with an announcement going out that first year associates joining via the MBA programme will be paid $175k, up from $150k last year. No announcement has yet been made about the rest of the associate program, but it’s hardly likely that second year associates will be paid much less than first-years, or that internally promoted ones will put up with less money than newly hired MBA grunts.

And although there is less of a direct connection, we’ve seen over the last six months that it’s very difficult for any bank to remain significantly out of step with the overall industry pay norms. So by the end of the year, it’s very likely that the entire top tier of investment banking will have seen the basic element of junior banker compensation go up by somewhat more than 15% across the board. Several firms have already bitten this bullet, with Deutsche, Barclays and UBS all raising salaries for associates at the same time as analysts.

But the question now has to be asked – does this really mean more money? Even at the associate level, variable compensation is often bigger than salary, and at Vice-President or above, it’s pretty much de rigeur to think of things in terms of total comp. The pay rises being announced now don’t necessarily mean all that much if the extra $25k is just taken back out again at the end of the year (or for European banks, early next year).

In fact, there’s a large element of window dressing here. Basic salaries for first year analysts and MBA associates are practically the only parts of the compensation structure where there is visibility and where comparisons are made. For most bankers, there’s no way of knowing for sure how much your colleagues and competitors make, only rumour and assumption.

The strong performance of revenues so far in 2021 is likely to mean that these sorts of questions can be avoided in the short term – although bonus pool accruals were not growing as fast as revenues at the h2 stage, there should still be enough to give most bankers a bonus that compares favourably with the recent past. But if the market cools even a little bit, we might see a leverage effect with variable comp having to fall a lot further than it otherwise might in order to meet cost targets. And if things cool a bit more, some highly paid associates and analysts might have cause to wonder whether it’s an entirely unmixed blessing in terms of job security to have locked in a significantly higher fixed cost.

On a totally different theme, if you needed a further reason to stay out of prison, according to the experts you would probably be no good at it. Apparently the skills needed to succeed in Wall Street are “not only in large degree useless, they are probably counterproductive”. That’s the view of Jeffrey D Grant, who runs a prison ministry focused on white collar criminals. He adds that “Business rewards a certain type of attitude and assertiveness—all things that will get you killed in prison”.

Even when you get out, Grant notes that bankers often have problems adjusting to the fact that their world has fundamentally changed. Because of the examples of people like Michael Milken, they tend to assume that it’s possible to make a comeback to the kind of life they lived before when it usually isn’t. One of the members of the ministry group has launched “Commissary Club”, the exclusive social network for executives with criminal histories, but it’s unlikely to be competing with LinkedIn any time soon.

MARCELA:

Hi, I’m Marcela. I am currently a banker analyst in the JPMorgan Private Bank Brazil team in the New York City office. I work in the private banking team. We help manage our clients’ wealth. And we do the most basic things like credit cards and helping them with their daily needs, as well as succession planning, structure, and complex lending operations. What I like the most about my role. Clients recognize me. They call me. And then, you can have a conversation as if you’ve known them for years. My manager is constantly giving me feedback, being our voice, giving us plenty of opportunities. I did a presentation in my summer internship, and the slides went to Mary Erdoes, the CEO of Asset and Wealth Management. She emailed me saying it was a great deck. And I still have that email saved in my folder. My day is intense, busy, and unpredictable. Practicing yoga helps you deal with these emotions in the sense of trying to stay calm. [CLAP] Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I studied economics in the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I feel like I’m a really extrovert individual. Advice I’ve been giving is, “Feedback is always good, even if it’s bad.” Networking is your number one tool. Are we good? Thank you.

financial results, forecasts and balance sheet of the company

JPMorgan Chase & Co is a leading international financial services company with $3.8 trillion in assets and $290 billion in equity.

  • About the company
  • Business segments
  • Financial results and balance sheet
  • Growth prospects and company valuation
  • Company forecast

JPMorgan Chase & Co has over 200 years of history. The company is a leader in investment banking, consumer and small business financial services, commercial banking, financial transaction processing and asset management.

About the company

JPMorgan Chase & Co serves millions of clients in the US and many of the most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients in more than 60 countries under two brands, JPMorgan and Chase. JPMorgan’s clients include the world’s largest corporations, governments, high net worth individuals and institutional investors interested in investment banking, private banking and wealth management. The Chase brand brings together the group’s business of consumer and commercial banking to serve the public and businesses.

Such a structure was created in 2000, when the investment conglomerate JP Morgan & Co merged with the country’s largest bank, The Chase Manhattan Corporation. The combined structure was named JP Morgan Chase & Co and took a leading position in retail banking, investment banking and financial services.

In subsequent years, JPMorgan Chase & Co merged with several more financial and investment companies – Bank One, Bear Stearns Companies, Washington Mutual and Cazenove. This allowed the company to become the largest financial conglomerate in the world with a capitalization of almost half a trillion dollars.

Business segments

For management reporting purposes, JPMorgan Chase’s operations are divided into four main reportable business segments:

  • Consumer and Community Banking, CCB. Serves ordinary consumers, small and medium businesses and large commercial enterprises within the framework of traditional banking services: deposit and investment products, payment solutions, issuance and servicing of loans and bank cards;
  • corporate investment bank – Corporate and Investment Bank, CIB. Provides a suite of investment banking, market maker and prime brokerage services, as well as treasury services and securitized securities for corporations and institutions around the world;
  • Commercial Banking, CB. Includes servicing and financing US and multinational commercial clients, including municipalities, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, and investors and real estate owners;
  • asset management – Asset Management, AWM. Serves large organizations, high net worth individuals and retail investors in major markets around the world. The division’s typical clients are high and ultra high net worth institutions and investors.

Financial results and balance sheet

For the nine months of 2021, JPMorgan Chase posted net revenue of $92.392 billion, up 2% from the same period a year earlier. At the same time, net profit increased almost 2.3 times – from $17 billion in the nine months of 2020 to $37.935 billion in the nine months of this year.

The exponential growth of net profit can be explained by accounting operations for the creation and subsequent dissolution of reserves for possible losses on loans. In the first nine months of 2020, JPMorgan Chase withdrew $19 into reserves.37 billion, which halved net profit. But thanks to a strong economy and a confident financial position of borrowers this year, the financial holding did not create new reserves and disbanded $7. 97 billion from previously created ones. The total provision for possible losses on loans as of September 30, 2021 is $20.5 billion.

Non-interest income amounted to $53.682 billion, up 9%. This was driven by a 41% increase in corporate and investment banking (CIB) investment banking fee income, a 10% increase in lending and deposits related fee income, a 28% increase in card services revenue and a 17% increase in -an increase in asset management fees at Asset Management (AWM).

Net interest income amounted to $38.71 billion, it decreased by 6%. This was driven by low interest rates and a cautious 5.5% growth in the loan portfolio compared to a 20% growth in deposits, as well as lower net interest income in CIB Markets.

The largest part of the banking group’s net income came from asset management, administration and commissions. Their volume amounted to $15.48 billion in the first nine months of 2021. At the same time, the total volume of non-interest income is 58%, which makes JPMorgan Chase’s income stable and predictable. The return on equity (ROE) was a record 20%, the group’s reserve capital reached $210 billion.

JPMorgan Chase’s total assets reached $3.757 trillion, up 16% y/y. At the same time, $2.357 trillion is represented by the most liquid assets – deposits in federal banks, government bonds and other securities. The volume of the deposit and loan portfolios amounted to $2.4 trillion and $1.04 trillion, having increased by 20% and 5.5% in nine months of 2021, respectively.

The loan-to-deposit ratio, used to assess a bank’s liquidity by comparing a bank’s total loans to total deposits over the same period, was 43% compared to 49%.% a year earlier. This indicates low risks and a high level of financial stability of the group compared to most banks from developing countries, where the Loans to Deposits Ratio often reaches 100%.

Borrower selectivity is reflected by strong credit quality, with NPLs of just 8.8 billion and a net write-off ratio of 0.32% cumulative for the nine months and 0. 21% for the third quarter of 2021.

The financial performance of the company. Data source: Analytical department of LLC Newton Investments

Growth prospects and company valuation

Due to near-zero interest rates, the group’s net interest margin is currently at an all-time low of approximately 1.37%. This means that by taking on the credit risk on the loans it makes, JPMorgan Chase & Co earns only $1.37 a year for every $100 it lends to borrowers. For this reason, the group does not increase its loan portfolio, the size of which is growing four times slower than the volume of deposits received from depositors. The company is actively increasing its non-interest income.

The expected 50pp increase in the Federal Reserve’s federal funds rate will widen the group’s interest margin, as it will be reflected in multiplier increases in mortgage, consumer and auto lending rates. This will be reflected in an increase in interest income, which currently accounts for 42% of the company’s total income, and will return interest in increasing the size of the loan portfolio. Thus, a 50 percentage point increase in JPMorgan Chase & Co’s interest margin would increase interest income by about $18 billion, and in the case of a 50% increase in the loan portfolio, it would give an increase in interest income in the amount of $21 billion per year. After deducting administrative expenses and other overheads, this gives the prospect of increasing net income before provisions by an additional $16-18.5 billion per year. This means an increase of 47% to the current values.

JPMorgan Chase & Co will continue to benefit from its strong positions in asset management, administration and underwriting. Taking into account the regular buyback, in the aggregate, this allows us to predict the growth of the company’s net profit to $15 per share at the end of the current year and at least $22 per share at the end of 2023.

Based on this forecast, JPMorgan Chase & Co is trading at a 2-year forward P/E of 7.26x. This implies 55% upside potential over the next two years to an industry average of 11. 3x and nearly 80% upside to the company’s five-year average of 13x.

Company forecast

The financial results of JPMorgan Chase & Co demonstrate the group’s ability to increase profits even in difficult times. A strong American economy with growing rates over the next two years will lead to a significant increase in interest income and a 1.5-fold increase in net income, which, according to the most conservative estimates, could give a 50% potential for growth in the company’s capitalization. At the same time, the well-established corporate practice of distributing profits among shareholders through dividends and share buybacks makes it possible to count on an additional 7% return on invested capital. The bank’s shares trade at a discount to industry averages and their historical levels.

The target price of JPMorgan Chase & Co shares on the horizon of one year is $200. Upside potential – 25% .

Each child is a separate person for us. We create conditions in the kindergarten that take into account his abilities and unique qualities. AND PROFILE KITKA

It is very important to interest the child.
Then he will be curious to learn new things.
We encourage children to make their own
discoveries and experience on their own.

The world around us

“The world around us” is a big project, lasting for the whole academic year for all age groups of the kindergarten. Every week on Fridays, we hold a common game for all children in order to consolidate all the knowledge that children have received during the week in the game, to form social and communication skills, to motivate children to learn to read and write, to explore the world around them.

World around

Every day a child encounters objects and phenomena, some of which are familiar to him, others are not. He has questions, a strong desire to know: what is it? What is the name of? For what? From what and how is it made? And children get answers to all these questions in the Travel Club. Thus, they form a holistic perception and idea of various objects and phenomena of the surrounding reality.

Crafts

These are the first workshops for preschoolers, where all their work is aimed at satisfying aesthetic needs. In their work, children use modeling, paper construction (origami), making crafts from natural materials, scrapbooking, paper plastic, plasticineography and much more. Working in these workshops gives the child the opportunity to experiment, think creatively of their own conceived product, and sometimes make something interesting and memorable for everyone together.

Entertaining experiments

We consider entertaining experiments not as entertainment, but as a way to get acquainted with the outside world and the most effective way to develop thought processes. Experiments allow you to combine all types of activities and all aspects of education, develop observation and inquisitiveness of the mind, develop the desire to know the world, all cognitive abilities, the ability to invent, use non-standard solutions in difficult situations, create a creative personality.

Games in English

Games in English allow you to lay a solid foundation for further study and perception of a foreign language, form primary speaking and listening skills, and work with motivation. This is achieved through games of various levels of complexity: from simple to role-playing, traditional and modern. After all, playing is so natural for a child!

I am an artist

Drawing is one of the most favorite activities for children. Drawing in unusual ways causes even more positive emotions in children. Using non-traditional drawing techniques in the classroom, there is a development of thinking, imagination, fantasy, and creative abilities. The child has an interest in drawing, and as a result, the desire to create. They draw with a piece of chalk, charcoal, pencil, felt-tip pen, fountain pen, gouache, watercolor, sanguine, pastel, wax crayons, ink, toothbrush, foam rubber, fingers, palm, wand and many others. Any discovery of something new, unusual brings children looseness, joy and gives impetus to creativity. Imagination and fantasy are the most important aspect of a child’s life. They don’t know what is right and what is wrong. They draw as they see and think.

WHAT ELSE WE ARE SPECIAL

THE WORLD AROUND US

Every season we have a matinee in our garden, for which we prepare performances together with the children. Starting from the senior group, we perform on the stages of Moscow theaters twice a year. We change the environment and the premises so that children feel important and confident in different conditions. Children’s performance from beginning to end takes place on a real stage of the theater. This is the format of musicals – they sing, and talk, and dance.

Classes and procedures that take place
in “Rainbow” to strengthen the body, develop creativity and teach you how to manage your emotions.

Children’s yoga is fabulous stories in the morning before breakfast 2 times a week. Together with the monkey, the guys travel through the jungle, meet turtles and dogs, and climb mountains. Listening to fairy tales about yoga monkey, children perform assanas that develop coordination, flexibility, balance, and learn breathing techniques. Children become familiar with the possibilities of their bodies. Coordination and plasticity develop.

MUSICAL AND THEATER

STEP AEROBICS

Step aerobics is a rhythmic movement up and down a special step platform. It develops mobility in the joints, forms the arch of the foot, trains balance, strengthens the muscular system, improves flexibility, plasticity, restores body tone, normalizes the activity of the cardiovascular system, helps to develop good posture, beautiful, expressive and precise movements.

From a beauty to a “stub”: a Christmas tree for Velikiye Luki was cut down right in the village, the residents are indignant

Society

The central New Year tree in Velikiye Luki has again become a subject of discontent this year. But this time, the New Year tree is being discussed not only by the townspeople, but also by residents of the neighboring Kunyinsky district. They assure: the Christmas tree for Velikiye Luki was not brought from the forest. She was cut down right in the village of Zhizhitsa, near the house of one of the residents, where she “pleased people for many years.” “MK in Pskov” learned about the “conflict of interest.”

Living tree or artificial? Which one to put at home? Hundreds of thousands of people across the country answer this question on the eve of the New Year. In Velikie Luki, the “Christmas tree issue” is a settled matter. For many years in a row, a living tree has been installed in the center of the city on Lovat. Although some great-earners in social networks insist that, from the point of view of ecology and respect for nature, it would be more humane to acquire artificial ones.

Be that as it may, traditionally, a few weeks before the New Year, a living Christmas tree for Velikiye Luki is specially looked for in neighboring areas, evaluated, selected … Then they are cut down and brought to the main square. This is where the fun begins.

Dozens of kilometers on a winter road for a fluffy coniferous beauty do not pass without a trace. By the time the Christmas tree takes a vertical position near the stele “City of Military Glory” on Lenin Square, some of the needles crumble, the branches break and the beauty goes bald literally before our eyes.

Bald beauty

This is exactly what happened last year. Seeing the city’s main Christmas tree, a 70-year-old 30-meter tree that arrived from the Kunyinsky district, the townspeople began to resent. Broken branches with needles that fell off during transportation did not, perhaps, inspire anyone. In social networks, the Christmas tree was called nothing more than “ shabby ” and “ plucked chicken ”.

However, the administration assured that by the holidays the Christmas tree would definitely be “healed” and, as a result, they would make a real beauty out of it.

The residents of Velikoluch saw such a Christmas tree after transportation last year. Photo: Marisha Volkova in the social network “VKontakte”

“Damaged branches will be replaced and old ones removed. This technology is used when installing live spruce. As a result, the spruce will be put in order, decorated and fully prepared for the upcoming holiday.0024 – wrote in the community of the administration of Velikiye Luki.

And so it happened. The Christmas tree was transformed and almost until the end of January it pleased the townspeople.

New Year – a new Christmas tree

On the eve of 2023, a live Christmas tree was delivered to Velikiye Luki on December 15th. Installed in a traditional place on Lenin Square. The appearance of the tree again caused displeasure among the great beamers. On the one hand, the Christmas tree has almost completely lost its branches.

The appearance of the Christmas tree raised many questions. Screenshot of the resource: iluki.ru/cameras/velikiye-luki

“You can’t watch without tears!”; “How can you mock a tree like that?”; “How can you ruin a tree like that?”; “It’s a shame”; “Terrible, bald”; “What kind of stub is that?” – these are just a few comments that appeared in Velikie Luki groups on the VKontakte social network under a photo of a city Christmas tree.

However, even this indignation pales before the dissatisfaction of the inhabitants of one of the villages in the Kunyinsky district. It was there, right in the village, that they cut down a spruce for Velikiye Luki. Before transportation, the tree was really beautiful.

Fallen branches will be attached to the central Christmas tree (left). Screenshot of the resource: iluki.ru/cameras/velikiye-luki

FIR IN NUMBERS

The spruce brought to Velikie Luki from the Kunyinsky region is about 80 years old. The height of the New Year tree is 25 meters, and the span of the branches reaches more than 6 meters.

80-year-old fir-tree

Fir-trees from the Kunyinsky district in the past several times became central in Velikiye Luki. However, this time the green beauty has turned from a symbol of the holiday into “ tree of contention “. She was chosen not in the forest, as last year, but right in the village.

“This spruce stood for many years and made people happy. And now they cut it off so that it could stand in the square for several days. Is this normal? – one of the local residents was outraged on the social network.

This is how the Christmas tree in Zhizhytsy looked before being transported to Velikiye Luki. Photo: Valeria Yurievna in the social network “VKontakte”

“Really, there are no forests closer to Zhizhitsa?” – another was upset.

“A fir tree was cut down almost in the center of the village of Zhizhitsa!” – a resident of the district shared his indignation.

As was explained to the correspondent of “MK in Pskov” in the administration of the Zhizhitskaya volost of the Kunyinsky district , the spruce cut down for Velikiye Luki grew on Topolevaya Street in the village of Zhizhitsa. Why did the choice fall on her? Probably because it turned out to be the most suitable of the proposed options.

While the spruce was being cut, the cars could not pass on the road. Photo: Valeria Yurievna in the social network “VKontakte”

“We gave a command to the forestry department to find a Christmas tree. They found. They came to a private owner – this Christmas tree stood on his site, the private owner decided to give it away, ” – said the head of the administration of the settlement Nikolai Balmyshev. And then he asked: “ Did you see what it was like with us, and what it is now in Velikiye Luki? »

«I found out that this Christmas tree was being cut down at half past one. Was in the regional center. I was told that cars couldn’t get through, food couldn’t be delivered to the store, and other things. They cut down and blocked the road. You understand, such a spruce, “ – noted Nikolai Balmyshev.

Who exactly chose this spruce and how? And finally, why did she begin to look so unpresentable? These questions are answered by the administration of the city of Velikiye Luki.

Spruce transportation to Velikiye Luki. Photo: Maria Semenova in the social network “VKontakte”

“Help in finding a suitable tree was provided by employees of the Velikoluksky forestry, who issued a permit for sawing spruce after obtaining consent from the owner of the land plot on whose territory the spruce grew. To avoid mechanical damage to spruce branches during transportation, as well as the threat of wire breakage, damage to road signs and vehicles standing on the sides of the road, Zelenkhoz employees transporting the tree dismantle individual branches, which are then returned during installation, – reported by representatives of the authorities of the municipality.

The indignation of the inhabitants of the Kunying village can be understood: the beautiful spruce, which turned into Quasimodo during transportation, is really a pity. But the tree grew on private property. The owner agreed. No lawlessness. As for the appearance of the Christmas tree… The city administration says that the installation and preparation of the Christmas tree for decoration will be completed by Wednesday, December 21st.

Top 10 Highest Paying Salesforce Jobs

in
Career

There is no doubt that a career in Salesforce leads to some very attractive salaries. The highest Salesforce salaries combine bountiful Salesforce skills to properly administer, implement, or develop, and the fact that the platform brings a huge positive impact to businesses.

When getting started in the Salesforce world, there are usually a few core roles that people hold, including junior admin, consultant, and developer – depending on your background, one might be more appropriate than the other. Once you have a few years under your belt, there are many different paths you can take to build a fulfilling career.

As salary is a motivating factor for a lot of people, let’s take a look at the Salesforce jobs that command the most money in the world.

*Data included in this post is from the world’s largest salary survey by Mason Frank – download your copy.

10. Project Manager | $135,000

Project managers oversee Salesforce implementations, ensuring they are completed within scope, on time, and within budget. Great PMs will have a mixture of technical and soft skills, ensuring they can help the team troubleshoot any issues that arise, and manage all stakeholders involved.

Project managers are commonly found working at Salesforce Consultancies, but can also be permanent, or contracting for end users.

9. Pre-Sales Consultant | $137,000

A pre-sales consultant is a skilled role that bridges the gap between the commercial and technical world. By definition, this role is usually involved alongside sales teams in selling a product or service.

A pre-sales consultant is a sales individual’s right hand (wo)man, and will take on the responsibility of finding out about the prospect’s business and technical requirements, and will sometimes build and present a demo. Pre-sales roles are usually found at product companies such as Salesforce or any app on the AppExchange, as well as Salesforce consultancies selling their services.

8. CRM Manager | $137,500

A Salesforce CRM Manager can be compared to a Salesforce Admin role. However, CRM Managers are usually a more senior role involved in larger Salesforce implementations.

As opposed to just administering the Salesforce org, they will usually be managing a team, and be much more involved in the company’s overall CRM strategy.

7. Functional Consultant | $139,000

Functional consultants are the individuals who implement Salesforce products. You will most often find these roles within Salesforce Consultancies. They will be tasked with identifying a customer’s requirements, translating it into Salesforce solutions, and then actually implementing it using declarative point-and-click tools on Salesforce.

6. Program Manager | $142,000

Program managers are very similar to project managers in the way they are involved in the successful roll-out of Salesforce products. The way they differ is the fact that programs are usually made up of several other projects and have an overarching business strategy attached to them, providing extra complexity and requiring additional skill.

5. Solution Architect | $151,000

A solution architect is involved in the solutioning and architecting of Salesforce projects. While a functional consultant may be able to gather requirements and create a solution for a smaller project, solution architects are typically brought in for more complex projects.

This may involve multiple departments, integration with other systems, or simply complex processes. The architects are the people who need to understand Salesforce inside out, as well as best practices associated with larger projects.

4. Technical Consultant | $161,000

Similar to a functional consultant, you will find that technical consultants are mostly at Salesforce consultancies. The differentiator is that technical consultants will have the knowledge of both the functional and development side of Salesforce.

This is a powerful combination, meaning this individual can support almost any aspect of Salesforce.

3. Development Manager | $164,000

When a team of developers is needed for an end user of Salesforce or a consultancy, a development manager may be required. They will be in charge of ensuring developers’ performance, as well as providing best practices and leadership support.

2. MuleSoft Technical Architect | $170,000

Salesforce purchased MuleSoft back in 2018, and it has been a huge success in helping companies move through their digital transformation. With its out-of-the-box API connectors, you can connect Salesforce to any system, whether it has an API or not.

This doesn’t come cheap though. MuleSoft is an expensive, specialist product, and the skillset that comes with it is handsomely rewarded. MuleSoft Architects are some of the most well paid Salesforce professionals in the world, and for good reason – they are working with tools and processes that can make a huge impact.

1. Technical Architect | $174,000

There are no surprises here – the technical architect is one of the highest-paid Salesforce jobs in the world. Similar to a solution architect, technical architects will work on large-scale implementations or projects.

The difference is that a technical architect can oversee any element of a Salesforce implementation – they understand code, integrations, declarative solutions, and even other systems such as AWS, CTI systems, and BI tools. Please bear in mind that this salary is not for a Certified Technical Architect, who can command even more than this salary!

Bonus. VP Sales | $190,000 + Comission

There is one role in the Mason Frank Salary Survey that commands more money than a technical architect, and that’s a sales director or vice president of sales. You will typically find these roles within Salesforce, Salesforce AppExchange partners, or Salesforce Consultancies. Sales roles such as these often make up their salary with 50% base and 50% performance-based commission.

While very different to many of the other technical roles above, if you fancy making the big bucks, sales could be the path to choose.

In our latest survey, we questioned two different types of Consultants: Functional and Technical. We found that more Technical Consultants (81%) are satisfied with their current role, compared to 57% of Functional Consultants. There could be several reasons for this decrease, however one fact is certain—there is a considerable jump in the average salary of a Salesforce Technical Consultant in comparison to a Functional Consultant. The average salary of a Junior Functional Consultant is between $117,750 and $143,750 (or £50,500 to £68,750 for workers in the UK) which jumps up to around $167,750 in Senior roles.

Salesforce Technical Architect

Technical Architects are in high demand across the Salesforce ecosystem, making it one of the highest paying roles in the ecosystem and rewarded accordingly—78% of Salesforce Technical Architects are satisfied with their salary, up from 64% in our last survey. Due to the difficulty of the certification process, they are a rare commodity across Salesforce, often referred to as the ‘one percent’ in the ecosystem. However, once you have verified your skills with the certification, it’s safe to say that your earning potential will significantly rocket.

how much managers and executives receive

At any time, and especially with the advent of the coronavirus crisis, it is important for businesses to maintain a stable level of sales in the company. One of the most important vacancies in business today is becoming a sales manager. Hundreds of companies in Ukraine are currently looking for good sales.

Journalists inform.zp.ua decided to figure out what kind of work it is and how in Ukraine you can start receiving a salary of tens of thousands of hryvnias in 2021.

How to become a sales manager

The sales department of any company is always “at the forefront” and is the engine of business. Sales managers communicate directly with customers, and both the volume and structure of sales and the development of the enterprise as a whole largely depend on the results of the department’s work. Universities and colleges don’t train people to be sales managers. At the same time, both large and small companies are looking for such employees in sales departments.

A survey among managers shows that a person with any profession can become a good salesperson, and in sales qualities of character and communication skills are more important than education. A good salesperson is always persistent and purposeful. It is important for him to quickly find a common language with any client. Among the important factors for success in sales, it is worth noting the ability to convince and stress resistance to work with customer objections. In other words, to become a good seller, you need to start selling systematically and learning from your own mistakes.

What salary do sales managers get? At the same time, the salary of the head of the sales department can reach the amount twice as high. At the same time, the head of the sales department is responsible for the entire department and the success of each individual manager. When searching for a head of sales department, vacancies, salaries start from 15,000 hryvnia.

It is worth noting that in most cases in the field of sales, the rate and percentage for successful sales are usually distributed in a 50/50 ratio. Thus, the manager and the head of the department are interested in increasing sales, and the owner of the company pays for a specific result, not man-hours.

Three ways to find a good job

The first and most common way is to find a job on job search sites. They offer up-to-date vacancies of reliable companies. For example, on the grc.ua website, more than 85,000 companies are looking for employees, and there are also more than 10,000 various vacancies throughout Ukraine.

The second method is recommended. You can get into the company through the right person, who can recommend you. The disadvantage of this method is that not everyone will want to take responsibility for you if you do not already have experience or proper skills.
