What is Head Start?
Head Start programs prepare America’s most vulnerable young children to succeed in school and in life beyond school. To achieve this, Head Start programs deliver services to children and families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being while engaging parents as partners every step of the way.
Head Start primarily serves 3- and 4-year-old children, and Early Head Start serves infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Head Start services are delivered nationwide through 1,600 agencies which tailor the federal program to the local needs of families in their service area. Early Head Start and Head Start welcome children with disabilities.
Do I Qualify?
Eligibility is generally based on family income at or below the poverty level according to the Poverty Guidelines published by the federal government. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) are eligible regardless of income.
To be eligible for the RCCAA Head Start program, children must be three (3) years old before July 1st. To determine eligibility for public schools/collaborative, children must be four (4) years old before July 1st. Three year-old children may be placed on the wait list after their third birthday, and accepted as slots become available.
To be eligible for the RCCAA Early Head Start program, children must be between the ages of six (6) weeks and three (3) years old to enter. Six months prior to their third (3) birthday we will begin the transition process into the Head Start Program as slots become available. If a child is between six weeks and three months of age, a center shall have on file a statement signed by the child’s licensed health care provider permitting the child to enter group care.

How Do I …
Enroll My Child in Pre-K?
Make Sure Your Child is Eligible
To be eligible for the state’s Pre-K program, your child must be a resident of Georgia and at least 4 years of age on Sept. 1 of the school year.
Gather What You’ll Need
Proof of eligibility, such as age and residency. Read more about Pre-K eligibility requirements.
Acceptable proof of age includes a birth certificate, passport, hospital record of live birth, legal document, or an official document from another country.
Acceptable proof of residency includes a current lease, property tax notice, homeowner’s insurance bill, mortgage statement, current vehicle registration form, any utility bill listing your residence as the service address, a letter from a shelter, or a letter from your employer, if your employer provides housing.
A completed Pre-K program application. Many Pre-K programs accept applications online. If you need to print out application forms, download them from the DECAL website.
If your application is selected, you will need to provide additional information to formalize your child’s enrollment. This includes hearing, vision, dental, and nutrition examination certificates as well as immunization records. These completed forms can be provided by a county public health department and your healthcare provider. If you need to print out these forms, download them from the DECAL website.
Find a Pre-K Program
Find a Pre-K program using the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning’s search tool. Pre-K programs are offered by local school systems and child care learning centers.
Local school systems
Require you to be a resident of the school system’s district
Generally accept registration applications between January and mid-March
May limit how many schools your child may be considered for when you apply to the system’s Pre-K program
Child care learning centers
Are not part of the local school system
Have no state limit to how many centers you can apply to
May offer programs besides the state-funded Georgia Pre-K Program, so make sure you’re applying to the no-cost program
Do not have county residency requirements
Generally accept registration applications around the same time as the local school system
Apply for Pre-K
Each provider has a different application process. Contact the local school system or the child care learning center for application instructions.
You must complete and submit one application per child by the deadline.
Applying does not guarantee admittance into a Pre-K program.
Next Steps
If your application is selected, you will receive notification from the local school system or child care learning center by email, phone, or mail. Please follow the program’s instructions to confirm your registration.
If your application is not selected, it will be placed on a waiting list. You do not have to reapply to move off the waiting list; if another child drops out of the class, your application may be offered a spot.
Once your application is selected, you will need to complete the enrollment process as instructed by the local school system or child care learning center. If you miss the deadline, your spot will be forfeited.

ENROLL IN A PRESCHOOL INSTITUTION | reutovobr
Dear parents!
During the period of understaffing (from September 1 to March 1) or recruitment (as of April 1), parents can track the decision of the city commission for the recruitment of educational organizations implementing the preschool education program (hereinafter referred to as the commission) through the child’s personal account formed on the uslugi official website .mosreg.ru. It monitors the child’s status from the 1st to the 5th day of the month that falls into the understaffing/staffing periods. If the application is approved, then the status “Registered” changes to the status “Distributed”. At the same time, a notification from the preschool educational organization where the child is assigned is sent to the applicant’s personal e-mail at the same time.
If the status has not changed and the priority remains, then the application is not satisfied and will be considered next month.
We remind you that you can bring an application (if there are any changes and additions to the initial application) for consideration at the next commission until the 20th. All applications brought after the 20th are considered at the next commission. All applications are brought on reception days: Monday, Wednesday, from 10.00-18.00, lunch: 13.00-14.00, at the address:
Reutov, Kirova st., 5, ground floor, room 13.
For all questions, you can call 8(495)528-01-07.
You can contact the Head of the Department of Preschool and Correctional Education with a question, having previously made an appointment for a personal appointment at the above phone number. Reception is held on 1-3 Wednesdays of the month from 14.00-17.00.

cost and terms – TSM
Where can I get the packaging?
When placing a request for delivery, tell the manager that you need packaging. The courier will arrive with envelopes and safe packages. If sending abroad will be through an office in Moscow, then a specialist on site will reliably and compactly pack the contents of the parcel, in accordance with international rules.
If I call TSM next time, will I have to tell you again about what and where to deliver?
From the first contact with the TSM international courier express delivery service, a personal manager is assigned who maintains a customer card. On the next call, the client gets to the assigned manager of the TSM company.
Is TSM open on weekends?
On weekends and holidays there is always a manager on duty who is ready to advise on delivery issues, fill out an application, set a date and time for pickup on a weekday, but couriers do not work on weekends. If the client has a deadline, then we connect an air courier who is ready to urgently deliver the shipment to the addressee.
Do you have branches/offices abroad?
Time Saving Machine is an aggregator to which 128 Russian and international courier services and logistics companies are connected, so TSM has representative offices even in corners of the planet remote from megacities.
How can I track my shipment?
After the courier picks up the parcel, cargo or documents, the personal manager sends the carrier’s website and a tracking number, thanks to which each stage of delivery is visible in real time.
Is it possible to send a bank card abroad by courier service?
TSM sends bank cards from Russia to abroad every day. In order for the envelope to pass customs control without hindrance, the sender or addressee must be the owner of the payment card. The bank statement with a blue seal must be attached to the card.
Are envelopes and parcels opened at customs?
Items are not opened, but X-rays are used during inspection. If the customs service finds undeclared contents, the parcel can be opened, arrested, destroyed, or, at best, returned to the sender.
Do you have delivery within 24 hours in Russia?
If you need urgent delivery between cities in Russia, then TSM has a solution. Within 30 minutes after the application is made, the courier picks up the shipment and, bypassing warehouses and sorting centers, goes to the airport to transfer documents or a parcel on the next flight, thus saving the client’s precious time. In the city of destination, a local courier hands over the shipment to the addressee, that is, you do not need to go to the airport and meet the desired flight. Thus, the delivery cycle usually takes up to 12 hours, depending on the distance of settlements from airports and the availability of flights.
Tell us more about the air courier service
The air courier service is the fastest way to deliver from Russia to abroad and from abroad to Russia within 24-48 hours, depending on the distance of the countries and the availability of flights. The team has a staff of proven reliable air couriers who have visas to all international destinations. Delivery of items is carried out by one person from hand to hand without sorting centers, warehouses and points of issue of orders.
When will the courier arrive?
The manager appoints a courier at a date and time convenient for the client after signing the contract and paying for delivery services. The courier calls 30 minutes before arrival, please do not ignore the calls, otherwise the collection of the departure will have to be rescheduled for another day.
Who completes the supporting documentation?
The logistics department of the international courier service TSM takes over the task of filling in invoices and waybills. Also, if necessary, we help to collect the accompanying documentation for sending parcels abroad.
Why send photos of the package contents to the manager?
If you plan to send a parcel abroad, it will go through customs control, for which you must provide invoices and waybills filled in English and Russian. Thanks to the photographs, the logistics department will enter the data on the cargo into the accompanying documentation as accurately as possible – this will allow you to freely pass through the customs services.
What do I need to apply for the delivery of a shipment?
Contact the TSM manager in a convenient way – by phone, e-mail, instant messengers;
Please state the weight and dimensions of the shipment;
Specify the urgency of delivery;
Please provide addresses, contact numbers, full name of sender and recipient;
Send photos of the shipment;
To conclude a contract for the provision of delivery services, send a scan of your passport to the manager;
Choose the tariff that suits you from those offered by the manager;
Pay for TSM’s delivery service;
Tell us a convenient date and time for calling a courier;
Hand over the envelope or parcel to the courier.
How to save on parcel delivery?
The cost of courier delivery directly depends on the size and weight of the shipment. By packing the shipment compactly, the client will save a lot of money. If there is no urgency for the delivery of a parcel or documents, then choose an economy tariff with a delivery time of 21–28 working days.
Will you make a discount?
The more affordable the cost of international courier delivery services, the more often legal entities will be able to exchange commercial documentation, product samples and goods with foreign partners, therefore, when concluding an agreement, we provide discounts.
For individuals, we provide weekly discounts for the delivery of items to 10 Russian and 10 foreign cities. Keep track of updates weekly, probably in your direction there will be a promotion.
When sending parcels or documents from 9:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00 from the office located at Moscow, Shukhov 17, building 2, for individuals we give a 10% discount on international delivery services.
Do you sign contracts with customers for delivery services?
For the peace of mind of customers and for the accounting of TSM, it concludes two types of contracts with individuals and legal entities: for a one-time shipment and for the provision of delivery services on an ongoing basis.
In what currency do you accept payments? Can I pay for delivery services while abroad?
TSM made sure that customers from any country could pay for the services of courier delivery of parcels, documents, cargo, therefore, in March 2022, they opened a foreign currency account abroad, which makes it possible to accept payments in any currency, including dollars and euros.
How do I pay for TSM delivery services?
The following payment methods are available for TSM clients: in cash at the office located in Moscow at ul. Shukhov 17, building 2; through the Internet service for receiving payments Robokassa; to the account of the organization. For foreign clients, TSM has a foreign currency account, so we accept payments in dollars and euros from payment cards issued in Europe, Turkey, the CIS, and the USA.
Can the recipient pay for TSM delivery services?
Anyone can pay for courier delivery — the manager generates a link for paying for services through the Robokassu online payment service, sends it to the customer, and the customer sends it to the addressee. After payment, Robokassa issues a check, which must be sent to the manager of the TSM company.
When do I pay for TSM delivery services?
We provide courier services on a 100% prepayment basis. For your confidence and security, we draw up a contract, after payment we issue a check.
How much does door to door delivery cost?
Hand-to-hand courier service is already included in all Time Saving Machine rates. It is enough for the sender to contact the TSM manager in a convenient way, provide information for filling out the application and appoint a courier for a convenient date, time and place. In the country of the recipient, the shipment will be delivered by the courier to the addressee.
What is the cost of TSM’s international delivery of parcels, documents and cargo in 2022?
Please provide your TSM personal manager with the following information to calculate the cost of delivery:
weight and dimensions of the shipment;
indices and addresses of sender and recipient;
urgent delivery.
The cost will not seem to be what the client expects. Indeed, the prices of international courier services have risen, this is due to the increase in the route of the supply chain, currency fluctuations and the increase in fuel costs.
What is the delivery method, but planes don’t fly?
In March 2022, TSM opened an office in Asia, where we deliver shipments by air, then arrange shipment to Russia. Aviation in the direction of Asia-Russia-Asia is operating normally.
What is the delivery time for parcels/documents from abroad to Russia or from Russia abroad?
Personal manager, depending on the client’s request, selects the optimal tariff. In 2022, we deliver items from hand to hand in 24-48 hours, 7-12 days, 10-15 days and 21-28 days. The faster you need to deliver a parcel, cargo, documents, the more expensive the cost of delivery services.
Do you deliver parcels from Russia abroad? / Do you deliver parcels from abroad?
In March 2022, TSM opened an additional office in Asia, through which parcels, cargo and documents transit to Russia, so delivery to and from Russia works as usual.

Nursery rhymes, song lyrics, Dr. Seuss books — without realizing it, we are surrounded by poetry every day. Poems can make children laugh, but more than that, they can help with cognitive development.
Short poems for kids can help your child understand patterns, which aids the brain in learning to process and retain information (1). Poems can even help with the development of speech. Plus, children enjoy poetry when it’s age-appropriate.

Funny poems are an excellent starting point when you begin to share poetry with kids. Whether it’s wordplay that makes the poem funny or a joke or a twist at the end, these poems will tickle their funny bone and encourage them to recite it.
Eletelephony
Once there was an elephant, Who tried to use the telephant— No! No! I mean an elephone Who tried to use the telephone—
(Dear me! I am not certain quite That even now I’ve got it right.) Howe’er it was, he got his trunk Entangled in the telephunk;
The more he tried to get it free, The louder buzzed the telephee— (I fear I’d better drop the song Of elephop and telephong!)
— Laura Elizabeth Richard
At the Zoo
First I saw the white bear, then I saw the black; Then I saw the camel with a hump upon his back; Then I saw the grey wolf, with mutton in his maw; Then I saw the wombat waddle in the straw; Then I saw the elephant a-waving of his trunk; Then I saw the monkeys – mercy, how unpleasantly they smelt!
— William Makepeace Thackeray
The Purple Cow
I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one, But I can tell you, anyhow, I’d rather see than be one!
— Gelett Burgess
Our Kittens
Our kittens have the softest fur, And the sweetest little purr, And such little velvet paws With such cunning little claws, And blue eyes, just like the sky! (Must they turn green, by and by?)
Two are striped like tigers, three Are as black as black can be, And they run so fast and play With their tails, and are so gay, Is it not a pity that Each must grow into a cat?
— Evaleen Stein
The Picture-Book Giant
Once there was a fierce, defiant, Greedy, grumpy, grizzly giant In the pages of a picture-book, and he Sometimes screamed, in sudden rages, “I must jump out from these pages, For this life’s a much too humdrum one for me! Fiddle-dee! Yes, this life’s a quite too quiet one for me!”
So one rainy day he did it, Took the picture-book and hid it, Stamped his foot, and shouting loudly, “Now I’m free!” Boldly started out, forgetting That he could not stand a wetting! He was just a paper giant, don’t you see? Dearie me! Just a gaudy, picture giant, don’t you see?
— Evaleen Stein
Rebecca
Who Slammed Doors For Fun And Perished Miserably
A trick that everyone abhors In little girls is slamming doors. A wealthy banker’s little daughter Who lived in Palace Green, Bayswater (By name Rebecca Offendort), Was given to this furious sport.
She would deliberately go And slam the door like billy-o! To make her uncle Jacob start. She was not really bad at heart, But only rather rude and wild; She was an aggravating child…
— Hilaire Belloc
Rhyming Poems for Kids
Rhyming poetry gives children the opportunity to anticipate what’s coming next and sometimes have the satisfaction of being right.
Most nursery rhymes are basic rhyming poems. Beyond that, there are endless examples of rhyming poems for kids, some more modern than others.
A Million Little Diamonds
A million little diamonds Twinkled on the trees; And all the little children cried, “A jewel, if you please!”
But while they held their hands outstretched To catch the diamonds gay, A million little sunbeams came And stole them all away.
— Mary Frances Butts
Room For One More
There is always room for one more I see by his coat he must be a stray, The untidy look gives him away. He’s lost his will and is so thin, Hasn’t eaten since God knows when. I know as I coax him through the door, There’s always room for just one more.
— Author Unknown
The Forest
The forest is the town of trees Where they live quite at their ease, With their neighbors at their side Just as we in cities wide.
— by Annette Wynne
Robin Redbreast
Goodbye, goodbye to Summer! For Summer’s nearly done; The garden smiling faintly, Cool breezes in the sun;
Our Thrushes now are silent, Our Swallows flown away – But Robin’s here, in coat of brown, With ruddy breast-knot gay.
Robin, Robin Redbreast, O Robin dear! Robin singing sweetly In the falling of the year.
— William Allingham
The Cow
The friendly cow, all red and white, I love with all my heart: She gives me cream with all her might, To eat with apple tart.
She wanders lowing here and there, And yet she cannot stray, All in the pleasant open air, The pleasant light of day;
And blown by all the winds that pass And wet with all the showers, She walks among the meadow grass And eats the meadow flowers.
— Robert Louis Stevenson
What is Pink?
What is pink? A rose is pink By the fountain’s brink. What is red? A poppy’s red In its barley bed.
What is blue? The sky is blue Where the clouds float through. What is white? A swan is white Sailing in the light.
What is yellow? Pears are yellow, Rich and ripe and mellow. What is green? The grass is green, With small flowers between.
What is violet? Clouds are violet In the summer twilight. What is orange? Why, an orange, Just an orange!
— Christina Rossetti
Ladybird Ladybird
Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home The field mouse is gone to her nest The daisies have shut up their sleepy red eyes And the birds and the bees are at rest
Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home The glow worm is lighting her lamp The dew’s falling fast, and your fine speckled wings Will flag with the close clinging damp
Lady-bird, Lady-bird, fly away home The fairy bells tinkle afar Make haste or they’ll catch you and harness you fast With a cobweb to Oberon’s star.
— Author Unknown
Famous Short Poems for Kids
There is both modern and classical children’s poetry available. The issue of copyright prevents us from including some of the best modern children’s poetry, but you can find examples from poets such as Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein, and Jacqueline Woodson all over the internet.
Here are some of our favorite classical examples.
When I Was One
When I was one, I had just begun. When I was two, I was nearly new. When I was three, I was hardly me. When I was four, I was not much more. When I was five, I was just alive. But now I am six, I’m as clever as clever. So I think I’ll be six Now and forever.
— A.A. Milne
My Shadow
I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me, And what can be the use of him is more than I can see. He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head; And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.
The funniest things about him is the way he likes to grow- Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow; For he sometimes shoots up taller like an India rubber ball, And he sometimes gets so little that there’s none of him at all.
He hasn’t got a notion of how children ought to play, And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way. He stays so close beside me, he’s a coward you can see; I’d think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!
One morning, very early, before the sun was up, I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup; But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head, Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.

How To Choose Poems For Kids
If you’re unsure about how to find suitable poems for children, here are some tips that will help:
When you are choosing poems for children, look for examples of poetry that cover familiar topics.
Don’t break out the abstract, freeform poetry to share with your children. Stick to poems that rhyme and have a simple, clear, distinct rhythm.
The poems you choose can encourage wordplay. That stimulates your child to see words and the way they are used in a different fashion.
Your poems of choice should be vivid and allow your child to create a clear mental picture of what’s going on.
With young children, the sillier or the funnier the poem is, the better.
With younger children, poems that can be accompanied by physical actions are an excellent way to help “paint the picture.”
Think about attention spans. The poems here are short enough to keep your child interested right to the end.
Tips for Teaching Your Kids Poetry
To help teach your kids poetry, we’ve put together our best hints and tips.
Make it fun. Don’t sit your child down and inform them they’re going to learn some poems. Instead, introduce them casually.
If you are going to read a new poem to your child, be sure to run through it so you can read it aloud, without hesitation, and not ruin the experience for you both.
Use an expressive voice when you’re reading your child a poem. Different voices for characters, the appropriate emotions, raising your voice or lowering it where appropriate will all enhance the experience.
For older kids, have them choose a favorite song, and recite them as a poem. They’ll discover they already know plenty of poetry.
Use poems in artwork, crafts, and other places so they are an everyday feature. That way, when the time comes for your child to learn about poetry at school, they’ll have a headstart in poetry appreciation.
Dress up as a character in the poem you’re reciting. That will increase their interest.
Make it age-appropriate. For toddlers, stick to a poem with four or six lines.
The Last, Non-Rhyming, Word
Just the word poetry can be an instant turn-off for some people, but don’t let it put you off.
Sharing poems with your child can help you bond, aid their development, and it can be a whole lot of fun.
So use some of our poems or find some of your own, and discover short poems for kids — you’ll be glad you did.

Poems for preschoolers – simple and instructive
Poems for preschoolers 9001 7
This collection contains funny and exciting poems for preschoolers, which the child will be happy to memorize. And it’s great, because not only does memory train, but also:
thinking develops;
diction improves;
vocabulary is replenished;
the child learns to speak expressively, to play with intonation.
Children understand simple rhymes and rhymes very well, so this is a great way to learn and prepare for school. When your child is reciting a poem, ask them to speak with expression, introducing characters – this stimulates the imagination, and also helps develop speech and become a good speaker.
Loquacious legs
Legs unable to speak – They are supposed to be silent. Feet can walk along the road For mushrooms in the forest to walk, Run in felt boots in the snow, Ride barefoot along the beach, They can jump, they can run, And, tired, go on foot. I say this to my mother, And she repeats again: – Stop dangling your legs! How many times can you repeat?

What a howl, what a roar?

***
“About little Tanya”
Our Tanya is lost, Where shall we look for her? — Cat, black stockings, Have you seen our daughter? – Meow, I didn’t see Tanya, I caught mice in the closet. – Piggy, pink belly, Do you know where Tanya is? – Oink, I slept near the bathhouse, I didn’t see your Tanya… – Duck, little white neck, Where is she, tell me soon? – Quack, I didn’t see Tanya, I took the ducklings from the bath. Listen, Pied Chicken, Where is Tanya anyway? – Oh, I dug in the weeds, Tanya was not visible there. – Goat, sharp horns, Have you seen our baby? — Meh, I was jumping across the clearing, I didn’t notice your Tanya. — Tuzik, red-haired ear Do you know where Tanya is? – Woof, now I’ll finish my porridge And I’ll find your Tanya. Tuzik is rushing along the path, Here are the tracks … Here are the sandals … Well, here is our Tanya In a bright blue sundress.***
Sister
Sister Anya will grow up, I will teach her everything: Songs to sing and drumming, And counting rhymes and writing! I’ll be with her, not with the kitten Run around the wattle fence. Little sister will grow up soon – She is already four days old!

A spoon is a spoon, Soup is eaten with a spoon. A cat is a cat, A cat has seven kittens. A rag is a rag, I wipe the table with a rag. A hat is a hat, Got dressed and went. FAQs for finding preschools near you in Duncanville, TX
In 2023 what types of preschools can I find near me in Duncanville, TX?
There are two main types of preschool programs near you in Duncanville, TX. The first is a full-time program that usually works best for parents working full-time shifts, and the second is a part-time preschool where your child would attend only two to three days per week and typically choose between a morning and afternoon shift. A part-time preschool can be a great option if you want to ease the transition of this new learning experience for your child! You can also check your options in Duncanville, TX for traditional preschool centers, or private home-based preschools.
What should I look for in a good preschool program near me in Duncanville, TX?
When you begin looking for preschools near me in Duncanville, TX, consider your priorities and ask administrators about their philosophies and approach to common child care issues or occurances. You may also want to ask about the ratio of learning time to supervised play time so you can get a good sense of whether you believe your child’s needs will be met. From there, ask about what a typical day consists of, what the safety protocols are and how discipline will be handled.
