Top 5 job interview mistakes

When it comes to job interviews, first impressions really matter so make sure you plan ahead to avoid making these common interview mistakes

It’s essential to use this opportunity to showcase your best qualities and ensure that you’re memorable for all the right reasons. Nerves do play their part in the interview process, and everyone has areas that they could improve upon. However, more often than not it’s the most preventable errors that cost you the job.

1. Being unprepared

Preparation for an interview is crucial to arriving in a confident mood and feeling ready to tackle the interviewer’s questions. Read up on the company’s background, its place in the market and its competitors, and familiarise yourself with its key members. Make sure that you fully understand the role on offer. Failing to do so will make you look lazy and uninterested.

Being prepared also means figuring out how you’re going to get to your interview, planning your route and factoring in any delays you may encounter. There are no excuses for tardiness when it comes to job interviews so show your enthusiasm by arriving on time.

Sometimes delays are unavoidable and as long as the circumstances are out of your control, they shouldn’t take you out of the running. Take the details of your interview contact with you so you can let them know if you encounter any problems on your way.

For virtual interviews make sure all your technology works and is set up properly, have any log ins to hand and make sure all distractions are removed.

Find out more about how to prepare for an interview.

2. Dressing inappropriately

Being well presented is a must so choose your outfit carefully. Clothes should be clean and freshly ironed. Turning up in ripped jeans and a pair of trainers hardly gives a professional impression.

Knowing the type of company you have applied to should give you a clue as to the dress code. For example, in legal or business firms dress is usually more formal, while in creative companies or IT the dress code is more relaxed. However, if in doubt always err on the side of caution. It’s better to go too formal than not formal enough.

If you’d wear the same or a similar outfit on a night out or on the weekend you may want to rethink your choice. You need to make sure that you look the part and still feel confident.

3. Talking too much or not enough

Learning to strike a balance between talking too much and talking too little can be a challenge. Taking part in practice interviews with your university careers service can really help to ensure that you give the right amount of information.

Waffling is a common interview mistake and tends to be the result of nerves, so avoid talking about everything all at once. It’s important to sell your skills and experience without rambling. Once the interviewer asks a question, pause for a couple of seconds, take a breath and gather your thoughts before responding. If you’re talking too much or too fast, you also run the risk of talking over or interrupting the interviewer.

Not giving enough information and forgetting to mention important points can be just as detrimental as waffling. To make sure this doesn’t happen, practise answers to common interview questions beforehand and make sure you have a number of examples from your studies and previous work experience to draw upon.

Employers understand that nerves play a part in the process so, if your mind goes completely blank, politely ask for a couple of seconds to gather your thoughts or ask if it’s ok to come back to the question at the end, once you’ve had some time to think

4. Criticising previous employers or colleagues

Complaining about colleagues, drawing attention to the negative aspects of your previous or current job or moaning about your superiors are all likely to blow your chances of success.

This gives employers the wrong impression of you and makes them question what you’d say about them in similar circumstances.

No matter the reason for you leaving your previous or current employment, always be diplomatic. You don’t want potential employers to think of you as disloyal or complaining.

Instead of highlighting the mistakes of others, emphasise the positive steps you took in order to overcome them. This shows how proactive you can be.

5. Failing to ask questions

As the interview draws to a close the recruiter will ask if you have any questions you’d like to ask them. It’s never a good idea to say no. This is your opportunity to get answers to your queries about the role and the company so don’t waste it. Asking a couple of relevant questions shows your interest in the role. You could ask about any current projects your potential team is working on, progression opportunities, or where the company sees itself in five years’ time.

Avoid asking what the company does (you should have done your research), how much paid leave you’re entitled to or whether you’ve got the job. Also avoid asking a question if the answer has already been covered during the interview. Try where possible to prepare two or three questions – that way you’ve always got a backup.

Find out about 7 good questions to ask an interview.

How to succeed at interview

It’s all well and good knowing what not to do at an interview, but not much use if you don’t know what you should be doing to win the job.

Setting aside your nerves is easier said than done, but learning to conquer job interview jitters is important if you want to give the impression of confidence. Try to relax and show your natural personality – the employer will get a much better feel of how you’ll fit into their team if you do. Take comfort from the fact that if you’re being interviewed the recruiter is already impressed with what you have to offer, and after sifting through countless applications they’ll be rooting for you to do well.

Enthusiasm and a positive attitude also go a long way and instantly make a more appealing candidate. Throughout the interview, evidence and reiterate your motivation for the role and the company. Employers like forward thinking graduates who can commit so to really put yourself above the competition, talk about the future of the company and your role within it.

Another good tip is to observe the basics. It can be easy to underestimate the power of good manners, regular eye contact, a firm handshake or a smile. Be polite to everyone you come into contact with as you never know who might be on the selection panel.

How to prepare for an interview

In order to put in a good performance and secure the job you need to make sure you’re prepared. Take a look at these tips to get you interview ready

Types of interview

There are different types of job interview. In some cases, you’ll only need to succeed at one of these to land the role. In others, particularly at large graduate employers, you may face several interview formats throughout the application process.

  • Face-to face – the traditional and still most common form of interview. You’ll attend the employer’s office and be questioned on your suitability for the job by an individual or panel. Face-to-face interviews usually last between 45 minutes and two hours, and may be preceded or followed by tests and exercises. Questions may be strength-based or competency-based.
  • Telephone – often used by employers early in the application process to filter large numbers of applicants. If you’re successful, you’ll typically be invited to a face-to-face interview or assessment centre. Expect a telephone interview to last around half an hour.
  • Video – increasingly popular among large employers, particularly for applications to graduate schemes.  Video interviews can be live or pre-recorded and tend to last around half an hour.
  • Assessment centres – lasting a full day they enable employers to compare the performance of lots of candidates at the same time. You’ll attend an assessment centre with other applicants and take part in tasks such as presentations, team exercises and psychometric tests.

Interview research

Your performance in an interview depends, to a significant extent, on how well you prepare. Don’t leave this until the last minute. In the days leading up to the interview, focus your research on the:

  • Employer – you need to show that you understand the business beyond the basics. What sector does it operate in? What challenges does it face? Who are its competitors? What major projects has it recently completed? What are its culture and values? This kind of knowledge demonstrates a genuine interest.
  • Role – read the job description again and, if you completed an application form, go over it to refresh your memory of how your skills and qualifications match the job. It’s vital that you can explain why you want the job, that you understand the role and, even more importantly, why the employer should choose you over other candidates.
  • Interview panel – try to find out who will be interviewing you. The email inviting you to the interview may include this information. Use LinkedIn and the ‘About us’ section of the company website to find out more about their professional interests and experience. This may help you to connect with your interviewers and create a positive impression during the interview.
  • Questions – consider how you’ll answer common interview questions, as well as preparing some questions you’d like to ask the interviewer.

There are also some practical things to plan. When and where is the interview taking place? Have you planned your journey and checked the timetables for any public transport you need to take? Does all your equipment work for video and telephone interviews?

Getting a good nights sleep and having a healthy breakfast on the morning of your interview will stand you in good stead. If your interview is scheduled after lunchtime, make sure you eat something even if you’re feeling nervous – you won’t put in your best performance on an empty stomach.

Practice job interviews

It’s a good idea to do at least one mock interview before the real thing. Your university careers and employability service will help you to practice your interview technique.

You can also write and practise answers to common interview questions with someone you trust – possibly even recording yourself and then reviewing your performance.

It’s also worth testing your telephone connection and making sure that your laptop, microphone and any other technical equipment you need is working, and you know how to use them.

What to take

  • pen and notebook
  • your CV and interview invitation
  • your academic certificates and work examples if requested
  • photo ID
  • breath mints or gum
  • a bottle of water
  • money for transport and food.

In addition, for online interviews you may also need:

  • laptop/computer
  • headset/earphones
  • microphone
  • log in for the software you need to use.

What to wear to an interview

While many employers expect candidates to dress smartly, a growing number encourage casual wear at work, making it trickier than ever to choose an interview outfit.

What you’ll be expected to wear depends on factors such as the size of the company, the industry it operates in and the culture it promotes. For example, a small creative agency may have different standards to a major accountancy firm.

If you’re unsure on the dress code, ask before attending the interview. The key point to remember is that it’s better to be too smart than too casual. Only opt for a more casual outfit if you’re certain that’s acceptable – if there’s any doubt, go for smart business attire. Whatever you choose, make sure that your clothes are ironed and your shoes are clean.

For telephone and online interviews make sure you dress as though the interview is in person. Sitting in your tracksuit bottoms trying to act professional probably isn’t going to go too well.

4 ways to make a good impression

As you’re preparing for the interview, think about ways you can show yourself in a positive light:

  1. Punctuality – arriving late will increase your stress levels and give the employer a bad first impression, so do your best to arrive in good time.
  2. Positivity and enthusiasm – be polite and professional with any staff you meet before or after the interview and, if you’re feeling particularly nervous, remind yourself that the worst thing that could happen is not getting the job. During the interview, respond to questions with positive statements, be enthusiastic about the job and avoid badmouthing your previous employers or university tutors.
  3. Body language – give a firm handshake to your interviewer(s) before and after the session. Once you’re seated, sit naturally without slouching in your chair or leaning on the desk. Throughout the interview, remember to smile frequently and maintain eye contact.
  4. Clarity – answer all questions clearly and concisely, evidencing your most relevant skills, experiences and achievements. It’s acceptable to pause before answering a difficult question to give yourself thinking time, or asking for clarification if you’re unsure what a question means. When answering, don’t speak too quickly.

After the interview

As your job interview comes to an end, make sure you find out when you’ll be informed of the outcome – and thank the interviewer for giving you the chance to attend.

Make some notes about the questions that were asked and how you answered them while the interview is still fresh in your memory. This will help you prepare even better for future interviews.

There are three potential outcomes:

  • Success – if you’re offered the job, make sure it’s right for you by discussing it with friends and family, and double-check details such as the salary before deciding whether to accept.
  • Rejection – if you’re unsuccessful, don’t be too downhearted as graduate employers receive large numbers of applications for every role. Email the company to thank them for the opportunity and request feedback from your interview so that you can improve your performance next time.
  • Further steps – interviews are typically the final stage in the application process, but if the employer has not been able to make a decision you may be asked back for a second interview.

Five questions that you should definitely ask the employer at the interview

The interview is in full swing, and you have already managed to tell about your education, achievements and explain why you would like to work in this particular company. What to add to consolidate success and make the right career decision? It is very important to ask the right questions about future work. Moreover, their sequence (which question to ask first, and which one is better not to rush) also matters.

In order not to miss the vacancy of your dreams, read the recommendations of Superjob.ru.

Question one: about the content of the job

Of course, during the interview, you have probably already discussed what your duties will be. In addition, this is usually described in the job advertisement. Therefore, in your question, you need to clarify what remained unclear in the functionality.

For example, you apply for a position as a PR manager in an existing public relations department. Specify what exactly your role will be in establishing PR communications. What is more important for a specialist accepted into the team – to be a competent and creative writer of texts or a talented organizer?

Another example is an interview for a sales assistant in a perfume shop. You have already discussed that the duties will include advising customers, working with the cash register and displaying goods. Specify how exactly it is customary to advise customers on the trading floor – to wait for their questions or to present information about the assortment of the store yourself?

Questions about functionality must be asked, even if everything seems clear and understandable to you: this will emphasize your high motivation and show the recruiter that he is a responsible and professional person.

Question two: about the objectives

Be sure to ask about the strategic objectives of your future work. What does the future employer expect from you, say, in an annual perspective? What are the criteria for assessing the effectiveness of your work?

For example, an applicant for a sales manager job might ask what the sales plan for next year is. Human Resources Inspector Candidate – Ask about anticipated headcount growth and therefore workload.

This will show that you can think strategically and plan your activities. In addition, a clear understanding of their tasks in the company is a real career engine. You will always be able to independently evaluate your work, applying the performance criteria agreed upon at the interview.

Question three: how to quickly join the team

Be sure to ask what your first working days will be like. Is there an introductory briefing or training? Will you have a mentor to turn to for any question? What are the criteria by which the success of the probationary period will be assessed?

This question is especially important if the job will be something new to you. For example, if you used to work in a small company, and now you have come to an international corporation. Or if you were engaged in PR in the field of retail, and now in the restaurant business.

Question four: why did this vacancy appear?

The answer to this question may give you food for thought. If the vacancy is new, then you will have to draw up a work schedule yourself and discuss in detail the responsibilities, as well as strategic goals with the head and HR manager. You will also have to think about the means to achieve these goals – after all, the vacancy is new, and this work has not been done before you.

If the position has existed in the company for a long time, pay attention to the reasons for the dismissal of the previous employee. Of course, they can be very different – a specialist found a more interesting job, failed to cope with his duties, went on parental leave, or was even fired for unethical behavior … a delicate matter, but it is still worth asking and pondering. If five people have left the position you are interested in in a year, it is worth looking for additional information about the company and the atmosphere in the team.

Question five: salary, vacation, lunch…

Don’t rush these questions – ask them at the very end of your meeting, discussing all the responsibilities, tasks and work plan. Superjob.ru has already talked about how to talk with a potential employer about money. The main thing is to adequately assess your own value in the labor market and not overestimate the importance of a lunch break in your career.

We wish you not only to ask the right questions at the interview, but also to hear the answers that suit you.

20 questions you might be asked at an interview

Some companies like to ask you what your ideal job is like. In others, why manhole covers are round and not square. Some employers consider standard interview questions useless and improvise, while others carefully consider each next step. We’ve put together 20 questions you’re likely to be asked during an interview.

Different questions serve different purposes. But most often, employers ask quite expected things related to the personality of the candidate, his professional level, career ambitions, understanding of the work mission, position fit.

1. “Tell me about yourself.”

You will be asked to do so, so be prepared to share the highlights of your work bio. Use the simple formula “present-past-future”. First, talk about who you are at the moment, what you do, what you can do. Then talk about what brought you to where you are today: a combination of skills and experience. At the end, talk about your plans and prospects.

2. “Name your strengths.”

It is important here not only to list your best qualities, but also to give an example of how they helped you achieve certain goals and success in your work.

3. “Name your weaknesses.”

Position your weaknesses as points of growth: tell us about how you plan to work on the shortcomings that you have already managed to fix.

4. “Why do you want to work with us?”

Here you can demonstrate the degree of preparation for the interview, the level of knowledge about the company, and interest in the job. If you can’t find enough information, feel free to ask your employer questions.

5. “Why did you leave your previous job?”

It is not necessary to be frank here. If your relationship with management did not go well or you just got bored, the employer will be wary.

Answer in a positive way

: You would like to see more variety in the work, or the ideal boss, in your opinion, does not bother you after hours.

6. “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”

Do not try

be accurate in forecasts: here the employer is interested in your train of thought and direction of dreams.

7. “What are your

salary expectations

? Be prepared for the fact that after that you will be asked about the salary in the last place.

8. “What do you plan to do in the first month/quarter of your job if you get this job?”

It’s not scary that you don’t know the intricacies yet, the main thing is to demonstrate an active attitude, a willingness to join the process.

9. Tell us about your achievements in the previous place

.

10. Tell us about your biggest failure.

11. Do you have children?

12. How long have you been looking for a job? Are there other offers that interest you?

13. What exactly did you do at your previous job?

14. How do you feel about overtime?

15. What is your latest major project?

16. Why should we choose you for this job? How are you different from other candidates?

17. Why did you choose this major/university?

18. How do you spend your free time?

19. Do you have bad habits?

20. What problems do you most often have to solve in your work?

If you already know which company you want to work for, but do not find a suitable vacancy for you, send the message to the employer “I want to work for you!”. It will fall into a special folder, and the employer will know about your candidacy.

We consider ourselves so incredibly lucky to have found Gaby and Growing and Learning. Our daughter has been going to Gaby’s for over two years and she is thriving. Her daycare offers a curriculum filled withconstructive and dramatic play, delicious homemade food and social interactions with other kids of various ages. Of course, as first time parents we were so nervous to leave our daughter with someone when my wife went back to work in 2015…now we chuckle every time our daughter barely looks back to say good bye when I drop her off. Our daughter loves her day care friends and loves Gaby. We couldn’t have asked for a better day care provider….

Our days are scheduled to include time for small and large motor activities, music, reading books, outdoor time, arts/crafts, and much more. I also provide breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks. I participate in a family childcare provider association to further my knowledge in early childhood….

We found Melba after we had a bad experience at another daycare and I thank God that we did. She’s been amazing and has watched my son since he was 9 months old. She has loved him like he was her own. He haslearned so much at her home and he is ready to start kindergarten thanks to her. She has the patience of a saint and does so many fun activities with the kids. My little guy loves coming home telling me everything they did that day, showing me his artwork and letting me know what he ate (he even tells me what she makes better than I do). The communication is open on both ends and I have never felt safer leaving him with anyone else. She has become a member of our family and we will miss seeing her everyday. If you’re looking for a nurturing place that is like a second home to your little one, run, don’t walk to Sunny Daycare!…

5 questions to ask on an interview: Top 5 job interview mistakes

Four FedEx Perks and Benefits the Company Offers Its Employees

If you’re wondering about the FedEx perks that the company offers its employees, you’ve come to the right place. The company provides competitive benefits and perks that attract new talent and help it retain its top performers.

In general, FedEx’s package aims to nurture employee happiness, efficiency, and general wellbeing. Keep reading to find out what FedEx employees stand to gain when working for the transport company. Who knows, you may well find some ideas to shape your own offering if you’re in the same industry.

Four Impressive FedEx Perks & Benefits For Employees

1. Several Financial Benefits

FedEx offers a variety of financial employee benefits. This is to set its workers up with the income they need for retirement and help them to support their families comfortably.

Benefits include a 401(k) plan that enables employees to save up to 4% of their salary, with FedEx matching 50% of their contribution. In addition to this, employees get a low-cost life insurance plan.

The company’s financial perks extend into family life. When an employee adopts a child, FedEx covers the costs of the court and adoption for single parents and families.

Transport is paid for too, and those who commute to work can get reimbursement for their parking, bus, and rail expenses.

When it comes to injury or illness, FedEx provides short-term disability coverage with pay replacement for a set amount of time.

Finally, employees who go above and beyond or fulfill particular performance targets set by the company can also receive pay bonuses.

2. Health Insurance

FedEx takes care of its employees’ medical needs and emergencies, too. The Ground division has a group insurance or benefits program for which the company pays the entire premium amount. Employees become eligible to claim extended dental and health coverage after they’ve worked there for 90 days.

The FedEx healthcare plan not only covers the employee but their family as well. It covers hospital stays, surgical procedures, and routine health care.

The dental plan covers preventative care and specialist dental work for employees and their dependents, while the vision plan pays for vision-related medical equipment and vision exams.

Mental health has come to the fore over the last year, and FedEx recognizes this. It cares about workers’ mental health and gives employees unrestricted access to counselors to discuss work-related and personal concerns.

Employees can also contribute a specific percentage of their income to a tax-free HSA, which they can use to pay for qualified medical expenses.

3. Paid Leave

FedEx believes that life is about more than simply work. As part of its FedEx perks, the organization offers paid leave benefits to cover a variety of life challenges and needs. This includes relocation, child education, hospitalization, and more.

The accumulation of vacation time and salary begins on the day FedEx welcomes a new employee. Employees can claim this reward after six months of continuous service. Every permanent employee of the organization is entitled to eleven days of paid vacation per year.

4. Discounts

All FedEx employees, their families, and close friends are eligible for a variety of unrivaled employee discounts. They receive discounts on numerous travel and vacation products, like aircraft tickets, hotel stays, and travel insurance.

Employees also receive special discounts on movies, malls, sports zones, golf clubs, amusement parks, publications, newspapers, and more.

Useful to know is that the special discounts can contribute to car maintenance. Workers can use them for car insurance, auto loans for new and used vehicles, service, replacement parts, roadside assistance, tires, and batteries.

Adding to this useful discount bank are perks for household items. This includes internet and cable subscriptions, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, and home cleaning and maintenance products and services.

Final Thoughts

FedEx perks are designed by the company to be a great value proposition to attract and retain talent. Their workforce gets access to a range of benefits, including financial planning and incentives, discounts, medical care and support, and comprehensive discounts to cover everyday expenses.

What benefits does FedEx offer?

FedEx offers a comprehensive benefits program to all full-time employees, which includes excellent health insurance coverage, financial benefits, retirement planning, paid time off, and numerous discounts.

FedEx has a group insurance or benefits program for which the company pays the entire premium amount. Employees become eligible to claim extended dental and health coverage after they’ve worked there for 90 days. The dental plan covers preventative care and specialist dental work for employees and their dependents, while the vision plan pays for vision-related medical equipment and vision exams.

FedEx offers a variety of financial employee benefits. This is to set its workers up with the income they need for retirement and help them to support their families comfortably. FedEx also offers financial perks to extend into family life. When an employee adopts a child, for example, FedEx covers the costs of the court and adoption for single parents and families.

Retirement benefits include a 401(k) plan that enables employees to save up to four percent of their salary, with FedEx matching 50% of their contribution. In addition to this, employees get a low-cost life insurance plan.

FedEx employees receive discounts on numerous travel and vacation products, like aircraft tickets, hotel stays, and travel insurance. They also receive special discounts on movies, malls, sports zones, golf clubs, amusement parks, publications, newspapers, and more. They also cover the cost of transportation to and from work.

FedEx Health Insurance Benefits

Like other employers, FedEx offers health insurance to full-time employees. However, these benefits only extend to part-time workers who’ve worked at least 1000 hours.

Full-time employees receive full health benefits that also cover dental and vision from Cigna Health Insurance. Typically, these benefits start 90 days after being hired, which inevitably prevents seasonal staff from applying.

FedEx Retirement Plans

In 2020, FedEx previously used a pension plan closed to new hires, but this was replaced with a new 401k benefits plan.

As of 2021, the 401k retirement plan is in effect. This means that if you choose to contribute 6% of your earnings as an optional contribution, FedEx will contribute an additional 8% to match. However, the downside is that employees have lost their guaranteed 5% contribution that they would receive without donating their own money.

FedEx Employee Discounts

Given that FedEx is a delivery service, the company offers several useful discounts to employees. These include:

  • 10% on select FedEx Home Delivery services

  • 20% on select FedEx Ground services

  • 25% on select FedEx Express international shipping services

  • 29% on select FedEx Express U.S. services

  • 78% on select FedEx Freight services

FedEx Paid Time Off (PTO)

PTO is an important part of being able to take sick days and going on vacations.

Luckily, FedEx does have a PTO policy. As an employee, you can expect to receive 1 hour of PTO for every 20 hours worked. However, you’ll only be permitted to use PTO after 90 days of continuous service.

FedEx Parental Leave

FedEx offers wedding leave, maternity leave, and paternity leave. Expecting mothers and fathers will receive 50 weeks of paid maternity leave, 50 weeks of unpaid maternity leave, and two weeks of paid paternity leave. Mothers can choose to decline the unpaid leave if they wish.

FedEx Education

FedEx does offer college tuition aid, but these benefits are minor. For example, part-time FedEx employees can earn up to $1,500-$2,500 per calendar year, depending on their position and hours worked. This money can go toward tuition reimbursement.

However, FedEx will not provide this benefit if you’ve accepted any other form of financial aid, making it tenuous at best.

Though, on the GED side, FedEx does allow employees to earn full reimbursement for specific courses.

FedEx Bonuses

According to current and former employees, FedEx bonuses do not go to hourly employees and are only given to managers. The annual incentive program for managers centers around base salary and can range anywhere between. 3-15%.

Other Perks From FedEx

Now that you know the most common benefits of working for FedEx, here are some other interesting perks:

  • Counseling. FedEx provides free access to counselors that can talk you through work-related grievances or other issues.

  • Career Planning. FedEx is known to give employees consistent and constructive feedback on performing better, earning promotions, and more.

  • Developmental Resources. FedEx provides several internships and seminars to improve employee knowledge and skills.

They want to offer benefits to employers for the employment of disabled people and large families

About 1.5 million families with many children, 12 million people with disabilities, the poor, refugees and other citizens in need of support will become the object of social entrepreneurs. This implies a government bill, which the State Duma plans to consider in the second reading in mid-May. The deputies and experts in the press center of the Parliamentary Newspaper reflected on its features and goals.

Which of the businessmen will be considered “social”

World experience shows that in developed countries about 25 percent of entrepreneurs are classified as social. In our country, there are much fewer of them – according to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, no more than one percent, and their contribution to the gross domestic product is only about 0.56 percent. This disproportion, according to Dmitry Sazonov , Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, is largely a consequence of the fact that the legal status of a social entrepreneur, as well as the list of socially significant activities, has not been defined and fixed until recently by law.

Dmitry Sazonov. Photo: PG/Igor Samokhvalov

The Government’s draft law eliminates this legal gap, systematizes and classifies the relevant areas of economic activity. But not only: socially vulnerable categories of citizens are also described in legal terms, to the protection or support of which social entrepreneurship should be directed. Quite specific measures are also envisaged to support this special type of business: first of all, it is planned to allocate quotas with the participation of social entrepreneurs in competitions for the purchase of goods or services held by companies with state participation, as well as to provide preferential rental rates for real estate, loans at a reduced interest rate and create other economic incentives. The most important criterion, according to which a businessman will receive social status and be included in a special register of the Ministry of Finance, will be the staffing of a small or medium-sized enterprise – at least half of the employees must have the status of socially unprotected, and their salary fund cannot be less than 25 percent of the total.

The categories of such citizens are listed in the draft law: disabled people, parents with many children, parents of disabled children, refugees released from places of deprivation of liberty, and some others. Thus, according to preliminary estimates, up to a million jobs can be created without direct budget investment.

If you work for society, get benefits

An innovation that is also planned to be introduced by law to support social business is the introduction of certificates for the purchase of goods and services for socially vulnerable categories of the population. Having received such a document for a certain amount, a citizen presents it to an enterprise or firm registered in the register of the Ministry of Finance as a social one, and receives a service or product that the supplier is ultimately paid for by the local or federal budget.

Olga Pavlova. Photo: PG/Igor Samokhvalov

But how to determine what type of activity should be considered socially significant? Olga Pavlova , a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, is sure that the list should be determined by the Government, but in any case, it is necessary to expand the range of social services, significantly increasing the number of social entrepreneurs, as they do in Tatarstan.

Donald Trump Brashly Delivers His First Speech Since He Was Federally Indicted. The former president, facing 37 U.S. charges related to possession of classified documents, speaks at Republican conventions in Georgia and North Carolina.

Photo: Global Look Press

Trump made his first public address since the federal indictment was announced this week in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday.

According to The Guardian, the former U.S. president took the stage at the Republican state conventions in Georgia and North Carolina, where he lashed out at the Justice Department, the FBI and the Biden administration, called his recent indictment a “travesty of justice” and repeated statements about that Joe Biden himself hid secret documents in the Chinatown area of Washington, DC.

“We have to stand up to… the radical left Democrats, their lawless partisan prosecutors… Every time I fly over the blue state, I get a subpoena,” Trump said at the beginning of a speech in which he tried to overcome his legal problems with campaign promises.

“I put everything on the line and I will never give up. I will never be detained. I will never stop fighting for you,” he added.

Trump went on to tirade federal officials, stating, “Now the Marxist Left is again using the same corrupt Justice Department and the same corrupt FBI and the Attorney General and local DAs to interfere… They are cheating. They are crooked. They are corrupt. These criminals cannot be rewarded. They must be defeated. You must defeat them. Because in the end they won’t come for me. They’re coming after you and I’m just standing in their way.”

Trump accused the Biden administration of using the Justice Department as a weapon, calling the recent indictment “ridiculous and baseless” and “one of the most appalling abuses of power in our nation’s history.”

The ex-president went on to add that “the only good thing about [the indictment] is that it really boosted my poll numbers.”

Trump repeated his attacks on his former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, who was investigated by the State Department for several years for her use of personal email before finding “conclusive evidence. .. of deliberate mishandling of classified documents.”

The former US president also lashed out at Joe Biden over secret documents from his time as vice president and senator that were found in his Washington office and his home in Delaware.

“With all this nothing happened to Crooked Joe … He has so many secret documents … This is a sick nest of people that needs to be cleaned out immediately,” Trump said as the Georgia crowd cheered.

Trump also mentioned his former vice president-turned-presidential opponent Mike Pence, who was also found to have tagged documents in his Indiana home.

“They looked at Mike Pence. He had secret documents, no problem,” Trump said.

At the time, The Guardian notes, as Biden and Pence handed over the marked documents as soon as they were discovered and allowed their lawyers to inspect their property, Trump was accused of deliberately hiding boxes of records from his lawyer, the FBI and a grand jury. , according to the latest indictment.

On a plane flying to North Carolina after his speech in Georgia, Trump told Politico that he would not withdraw from the presidential race even if he was convicted on the latest charges. “I will never leave,” he said.

When asked if he would forgive himself if he became president again, he said, “I don’t think I’ll ever have to do that… I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Pence also appeared at the North Carolina event, marking the first time he’s had a joint event with his former boss since the ex-VP announced his own campaign. He denounced the “politicization” of the Justice Department and called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to “stop hiding behind the Special Counsel and face the American people” to explain the grounds for a federal investigation into Trump.

In an interview with The Associated Press after his speech, Pence said he had read the indictment but repeatedly refused to share his personal reaction to its content or criticize Trump.

“The very nature of a grand jury is that no defense is presented,” Pence said. “That’s why I said today that I’m going to call for patience, call on people to pray for the former president, but also for all those in power and for the future of the country.”

In North Carolina, Florida Gov. and Trump rival Ron DeSantis did not mention Trump by name, but compared his situation to that of Hillary Clinton.

“Are there different standards for a Democratic Secretary of State compared to a former Republican President? DeSantis said. – I think that in this country there should be a single standard of justice..”.

Trump said Saturday night that he would support Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson in the race for governor of North Carolina. Trump said he would save his formal endorsement for another time, but told Robinson from the stage, “You can count on that, Mark.” He called Robinson “one of the great stars of the party, one of the great stars of politics.”

Robinson gained a reputation as an outspoken social conservative when he told a church in 2021, “There is no reason anyone anywhere in America should be teaching any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, any other such abomination.

Trump’s two speeches were scheduled before the Justice Department filed 37 criminal charges against him on Thursday night for his alleged illegal possession of classified government documents after leaving office in 2021.

The sweeping indictment, released Friday, accuses Trump of mishandling classified documents as well as obstruction of justice, making him the first US president to be federally charged.

Trump is expected to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday and could face jail time if found guilty.

Kristin K. (OC parent)

“Ontario Christian is by far the best Christian school in the area. I’ve noticed that most parents that send their kids here are very involved. The teachers are very approachable and in tune with all parts of the child – from academic to social. OC also offers many “extras” that the kids are involved in like computers, art, music, PE, Spanish, and library. Yes, the school is definitely an investment, but it’s worth it.”

Christine K. (OC Parent)

“We have been so pleased with the education that our children are receiving from Ontario Christian Schools. They are challenged academically and are growing spiritually as well. The teachers are fantastic, especially at the middle school level. The school is committed to its mission of ‘Growing Christian Leaders. ’ We can see it in the growth of our children. We believe having our children at Ontario Christian is worth every penny!”

(OC parent)

“Ontario Christian is a place where we do not have to worry about our children’s safety, what they are being taught in their lessons, or who their friends are. Ontario Christian is a place where we know the values are the same as ours at home. Ontario Christian will always be a part of who we are!”

Toia G. (OC Parent)

“My Husband and I love this school. Our daughter started there last year during the summer for Pre-K and is now going to start kindergarten in the fall. The school has been great! They are truly growing Christian leaders. My daughter is far more advanced than most her age. The staff really show they care and are always keeping my family involved. I am excited to be a parent of a child that attends Ontario Christian Schools.”

(OC Parent)

“The education that OC provides is absolutely outstanding and priceless. The love, support, and instruction my daughter has received at OC are astonishing… I thank God every day that He opened the door here. I literally could thank you over and over again!”

  • Secondary education in Canada: a guide for beginners . In Canadian schools you will find modern equipment, quality sports facilities, teachers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the best universities and students from cultures from all over the world. A Canadian education is a win-win investment in a child’s future, and it’s easier than ever to get one today.

    To order
to objectively assess the quality of Canadian education, just look
on the success of schoolchildren who have passed through it. According to the international program
PISA, which compares the academic performance of students around the world,
Canadian children are among the most well-prepared: they take
third place in the science and reading category and fifth place in the
    mathematics.

How is education organized in secondary
    schools Canada

    What
Is the education system in Canada different from the rest of the world? Define some
a general distinction can be problematic as there are different provinces in Canada
have a fairly large freedom in determining the school curriculum, the system
learning and the needs of young learners. Consolidates schools in different provinces with the strictest
quality control, which is carried out both by the government and independent
    parents’ oversight organizations.

    In general
children in Canada go through primary education from the age of 6 to 11 (in some cases
up to 13 years), and the average – from 12 to 14 or 18 years. After completing classes
secondary education children usually choose between a more academically oriented
higher education provided by Canadian universities, or
get more practical and focused on rapid professional growth
    college education.

    Types of Canadian Secondary Programs
    school

    Advanced Placement

    Academic year
in Canada it lasts from September to May and is usually divided into 2 semesters. And if
primary education programs are similar to each other in schools of different
provinces, secondary education differs significantly depending on
academic level of the school. The more advanced the school is considered, the more
She offers a wide range of subjects to her students. Greatest difficulty
education, and, accordingly, the greatest prestige, give programs of increased
complexity of Advanced Placement (AP). Students in these programs can choose
from over 35 items. High marks for exams in the programs of this
categories are accepted by most universities in the US, Canada and Britain.

    Regardless
on the complexity of the program diploma of graduation from high school (Secondary School
Diploma) students receive after successfully passing a certain
the number of subjects, some of which are mandatory, and some remain
    choice of students.

    International Baccalaureate

    Many
students in Canada, including international students, upon completion of the program
high school also has a unique opportunity to get an International Diploma
Baccalaureate. This is an international program whose diplomas are accepted
most of the world’s leading universities: in the course of their studies, children undergo a program
increased complexity, aimed at preparing for university education,
and the results of the International Baccalaureate exams themselves become
a sufficient basis for admission to first-class universities.

    Extracurricular activities in Canadian
    schools

    Of course,
when choosing a school for a child in such an important period of development, a significant role
plays not only academic education. Canadian schools today aim at
to provide the child with all the opportunities for full development in
various aspects of personality. Schools here have always paid great
attention to sports and creative pursuits. First class in Canadian schools
teach two of the country’s favorite sports – hockey and figure skating. School
ice hockey teams in Canada regularly take part in championships on
the highest level, so if your child is interested in this sport, here
a bright career could begin for him. However, for those children who do not
interested in these sports, the schools have swimming pools, tennis courts,
fields for basketball and football. For children who are more interested in creativity
development, friendly and inspirational painting circles function in schools,
sculpture, film, photography, music, dance and theatrics.

    Volunteering

    Canadian
schools are also very fond of volunteer programs. In many schools for academic
year, students must devote a certain number of hours of voluntary
working on projects that help the school, communities or children in
needy countries. For Russian schoolchildren and their parents, this practice
may seem unusual, but in Canada they believe that such work helps
to develop in children the qualities necessary for a balanced and successful
adult life. In the process of volunteer work, children develop independence,
leadership skills and responsibility. For schoolchildren from Russia, this is also
a great opportunity to gain work experience abroad, to make useful
dating and start your career path at the earliest stages.

    Of course
one of the most important aspects of a study abroad trip for most
parents and schoolchildren in Russia is the study of a foreign language. in different
parts of Canada the official language is English and French, so here
you will be able to choose which linguistic environment is most suitable for
your child. While studying abroad, he will constantly communicate on this
language with classmates, teachers and staff, and statistics
shows that thanks to this practice, the vast majority of children quickly and
assimilates even a foreign language that was not given before.

Elementary School – children start their education at the age of 6-7 and

formation of personality as a whole.

    Secondary School
    (obsolete name – High
School ) – second stage of secondary education, where

7 steps to a decent salary. How to behave at an interview – Career on vc.ru

Finding a job takes time. You compose a resume, prepare a cover letter, view vacancies. And then you get to the interview. Almost no one wants to argue with the conditions of the employer after all the efforts made. You probably won’t risk it either.

24 144
views

Most will not. And agree to the salary offered by the employer. But in many cases this is the wrong decision. A higher salary can be negotiated. In fact, recruiting managers are often ready for such negotiations. Are you ready for them?

What are salary negotiations and why you should not refuse them

Negotiating wages is one of the last steps in finding a new job. Such negotiations are not the same as asking for a pay raise in your current position. The main difference is that they are conducted at the time of hiring and after the interview, but before signing the employment contract, and not when reviewing conditions some time after taking office.

Such negotiations are useful for several reasons. Even the fact that you initiate them is already a huge plus. After all, this tells the manager about your self-confidence and that at the first opportunity you will consider a more profitable vacancy. In addition, during negotiations, you think about what level of income will suit you, and analyze the situation that has developed in the labor market. It also gives you a higher starting salary.

“Unemployment is now lower than ever. At the same time, the demand for talented and skillful employees remains high, says Luke Stratmann, manager of Robert Half, an S&P 500 HR consulting company with over 70 years of experience. “Professionals have a big advantage.”

By saying “yes” to the employer, you agree to the full range of conditions, including the salary currently accepted. Otherwise, the salary is reviewed, as a rule, only after six months or a year. Refusing to negotiate, you lose the additional amount for the entire time.

“Most employers expect, even welcome, discussions about their proposed terms of cooperation,” Stratmann says.

According to a study conducted by Robert Half in 2019, 70% of HR managers are ready to negotiate salary or additional bonuses. In addition, throughout the year, 45% of applicants accepted the terms of the employer without any discussion. Don’t act like them. It’s about extra money, and you can count on it. Down with indecision.

How to negotiate salary

An interview is an exciting event. And when combined with salary negotiations, it causes a lot of stress. And even a panic attack. Wanting to avoid such inconvenience, many miss the chance to conclude the most profitable contract. Do not allow yourself such weakness.

This step-by-step guide to negotiation will relieve you of empty fears, and you will achieve the best result. You will certainly agree on a really decent salary. And perhaps even get an even better offer from the employer himself. And to achieve this, study the following instruction:

Step 1: Find out what salary your level of professional really is looking for

.

Lisa Gates, leadership and negotiation coach for businesswomen and one of LinkedIn’s top experts, suggests starting your salary negotiation preparations by finding out what other employees in the same position are earning. To get an idea of the average salary of specialists in the region and in a particular company, ask colleagues or search for information on the net. Don’t settle for less.

Step 2. Know for sure how much your work costs

You have already found out the average salary level for the desired position. Now figure out how much your services cost.

“If you’re a mid-level professional…go for the average salary,” advises Gates. “But if your qualifications are much higher than average, then you have the right to expect more income.”

One should not underestimate oneself. But you will have to prepare arguments to convince the employer that your requests are justified. Prepare a list of your skills and accomplishments. And determine how much the value of your services increases due to each of them. In numbers. In general, figures and statistics are the most powerful arguments during negotiations. And if you need a certain amount, say, for the maintenance of a child or rent, this can also be mentioned. But besides the costs, other arguments are also needed.

“An employer won’t like it if a job seeker insists on a high salary, taking figures out of thin air, without a reasonable justification,” says Stratmann. Explain why your work is more expensive, and it is likely that your conditions will be accepted.

Step 3. Respond politely to the initial offer

You just received a job offer (congratulations!), and it either made you happy or not. Perhaps the company offers exactly the conditions that you wanted, or maybe the salary offered is too low. In any case, the invitation caused a strong emotional response. And so many act impulsively: they respond either with enthusiastic consent or indignant refusal. And you are not in a hurry. Take a deep breath and don’t answer right away, even if it seems like the opportunity of a lifetime is before you.

“It’s important to give a respectful, polite response to the first offer,” says Lauren Margolis, CEO and founder of Training & Leadership Success. “Listen to your feelings and pause.” Margolis is a professional training specialist and a member of the Forbes Council of Business Coaches. Among her clients are companies from the Fortune 500 list. According to Margolis, even with a ready-made solution and determination to immediately begin negotiations with the employer, it is better to take some time to think about the situation. “If you start negotiations right away, there is a great risk of succumbing to emotions. And you need to talk about money soberly, carefully weighing every word, ”she adds.

Ask for time to think things over. It is permissible to take such a timeout for 1-7 days. Most often it is 24-48 hours. But sometimes the employer urgently needs employees and does not want to wait long.

“You can also directly ask the manager when the final decision needs to be made,” Stratmann says. “This will avoid unnecessary worries and misunderstandings, since there is a clearly defined deadline.”

Step 4. Prepare a counter offer

In salary negotiations, it is important to stick to the facts obtained in advance and to name acceptable numbers. They must correspond to the realities of the market. Within the range determined by the local market, select a narrower one that meets your wishes and competencies. If you were asked the question “What salary do you expect?”, what would be the answer?

Let’s say 60 to 80 thousand. Then focus on this range. Let the original offer be 60 thousand per month, 4 weeks of vacation per year, plus medical care and a gym at the expense of the company. Let’s say that this fully meets your expectations, and it fits well into the planned payment range. But there will still be negotiations. “Always bargain, if only to show how you know how to conduct a complex working dialogue,” advises Gates. “The ability to resolve difficulties and get your way is the art of negotiation.”

The exception is companies with “fixed” terms, derogation from which is not allowed, which is announced immediately. If the amount of payment is set rigidly and the employer considers bargaining inappropriate, all that remains is to accept. Unless, of course, you decide to refuse the vacancy. Otherwise, prepare a counter offer. Consider the following numbers:

  • minimum wage you are willing to work for. For example, 65 thousand.
  • target amount. This is the most likely outcome of the negotiations. Aim above the minimum wage. Let it be 70 thousand.
  • is the highest figure you will mention during negotiations. And that’s where you start the discussion. In this case, 80 thousand.

It is very possible that the company will not agree to pay you the “target” amount even after the negotiations are over. But don’t despair. Stratmann urges: “When considering a job offer, look beyond the salary. Additional bonuses, career prospects, corporate culture of the company and many other factors also matter.” And these factors can also be a subject for discussion. Maybe there is a rest room in the office building? Or is it possible to at least sometimes work from home? Scholarships for education? Refresher courses? Extended vacation? Prizes? Maybe something else? Think about what additional options would make the job more attractive to you and include them in your offer.

Step 5: Negotiate Properly

You’ve done a lot of preparation. Are you ready to present its results in a dialogue? Clearly and confidently, despite the excitement that is almost inevitable during an interview? Hardly.

The dialogue itself can take place in person or remotely. But it must be a conversation. Not correspondence. “By exchanging letters, you can discuss some general issues or arrange a meeting,” Stratmann says. “But it’s better to conduct the main negotiations live or by phone, because this way you can better feel the tone of the interlocutor.”

In a personal meeting, intonation is only one of the details worthy of close attention. According to research by Robert Half, recruiting managers note the following features of the applicant for the position:

  • posture;
  • glance;
  • hand gestures;
  • handshake;
  • facial expression;
  • fidgeting, nervousness;
  • whether eye contact is maintained.

That’s why you can’t get off with correspondence. And the ability to use all these features of behavior to your advantage requires a certain skill. “Practice negotiating with someone you know well. Be sure to ask him to make your task as difficult as possible, advises Margolis. – Let him try to confuse you, put you in an awkward position, challenge your judgments. Let him challenge you, and you will learn to respond professionally.

Margolis also recommends that you write down the most important points for you to discuss during the negotiations. Then write down three of your qualities that distinguish you from other applicants. Throw it on paper and you will gain more confidence.

Gate, in turn, offers to write a short opening speech with the following structure:

  • list your strengths;
  • evaluate the result that was achieved thanks to them;
  • tell us how these results can be used;
  • name the amount of wages you are applying for. Name the maximum possible (in accordance with previous research and your qualifications) amount. After all, it is with her that negotiations should begin.

End your speech with a question to start the conversation. For example: “What do you see as the prospects for our cooperation?”.

“I am a high-end creative copywriter who has created several successful copywriting experiences for my recent clients that have increased their ad revenue by 20% in one quarter. I believe that if your company has more resources and staff at my disposal, I will be able to work even more efficiently. Taking into account my experience and merits, I count on a salary (name the largest amount possible under the given circumstances in this position). How do you look at the possibility of cooperation on such conditions? Your speech, of course, can be written quite differently. Write in your usual language, change the structure to your liking. Don’t forget to mention how much you’re hoping for and end your introduction with a question that starts the negotiation itself.

When rehearsing a speech with a friend, try going through several options to find the best one. Just do not ask a question that can be answered in one word, because your goal is to start a dialogue. Practice until you gain enough confidence. And don’t forget to properly thank your “coach”!

Step 6. Get a higher salary

It’s time. Let’s take a deep breath and start fighting for better conditions. If negotiations are held in person, do not forget about body language. If you are offered a drink, do not refuse. Sipping aromatic coffee or tea, you will successfully fill in uncomfortable pauses in a conversation and gain some time to gather your thoughts.

If the interview is over the phone, forget about body language and other unnecessary details that are still not transmitted by voice. You can freely use prepared records. But remember how important intonation is. Speak clearly, slowly, and the negotiations will go well.

Step 7. Make sure the terms and conditions are correct

Salary negotiations have been successfully completed.

    AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

    We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

    SCHOOL-READY

    What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

    West Broad KinderCare Programs

    Infant Programs (6 weeks-1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
    ready to explore their world.

    Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

    Preschool Programs (3-4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
    kindergarten!

    Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5-12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5-12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

    Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

    Cooking Academy™ (3-12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

    Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

    Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

    Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

    A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

    An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What accreditations does KinderCare have?

We are your trusted caregiver. Our centers are state-licensed and regularly inspected to make sure everything meets or exceeds standards, including child-to-teacher ratios and safe facilities. Our centers aren’t just licensed—most are accredited, too! Find out more.

Do you offer part-time schedules at Tamarack KinderCare?

Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.

How does naptime work at Tamarack KinderCare?

Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap. In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on “10 Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap” to learn more.

    Do you support alternative diets?

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.

Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.
