FAQs
AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
West Broad KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks-1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Preschool Programs (3-4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Before- and After-School Programs (5-12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5-12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Cooking Academy™ (3-12 Years)
In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!
Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.
Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!
A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Please email us at enroll. [email protected] with your child’s birthdate and information about when you wish to enroll your child. A registration form and information about our program will be emailed to you. Fill out the registration form and return it to us. We will determine which classroom your child would be in and it will put you on the wait list.

Poison Prevention Program
Omaha Public Library
Friendship Tea
Dr. Oxygen Science Show
Our Curriculum
Our center follows developmentally appropriate practice. For young children, research tells us they learn best by “doing” or through play. Play is their “text book”. Our teachers create intentional, planned, play-based environments that facilitate all areas of development while at the same time allowing enough flexibility to respond to each child’s individual needs. Our teachers provide a wide variety of “hands on” experiences that encourage children to be active learners, to lead, to follow, to solve their conflicts, to listen, to appreciate differences, to count, to reason, to create, and to use their fine & large motor muscles. Our teachers teach by close observation and attunement to each child’s unique talents and abilities. Emphasis is placed on the process (the doing) rather than the product. The purpose is to help each child reach their highest potential intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally as well as nurture a genuine lifelong love of learning.
Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines (ELGs)
Our Curriculum is based on the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines standards: Creative Arts; Social & Emotional Development; Approaches to Learning; Health & Physical Development; Language & Literacy Development; Mathematics; and Science. The guidelines provide information about what children can typically be expected to know and do by the age of five and what adults can do to provide experiences and environments that support learning across the developmental and learning domains.

Description
The Firefly Children’s Center opens its doors to parents who want their kids to be fully developed. Here the child will have the opportunity to do mental arithmetic and drawing. And if he wants to spend less time preparing for tests or homework, the staff will offer you to sign him up for speed reading lessons. Those children who are interested in the culture of other countries or plan to travel abroad in the future can learn the basics of the English language. In the lessons, teachers pay special attention to setting the correct pronunciation, listening to speech and learning popular phrases so that the children do not have difficulties when communicating with foreigners. The administrator will tell you what things you need to buy for classes and introduce you to the teachers.
In addition, here you can sign up your child for classes in applied arts, modeling and mathematics, as well as rhythm. If necessary, a speech therapist is always ready to accept him.
The Center can be found at: Russia, Ryazan, Leninsky Komsomol street, 1. For more information, call +7 (900) 902-54-51. Company doors are open Mon-Fri: 07:00 – 19:00; extended day group: Mon-Fri 19:00-22:00.

Description Book Lucius Annaeus Seneca “Volume 2. About a happy life. Thiest. Agamemnon. Oedipus”
Lucius Annaeus Seneca the Younger was an outstanding Roman Stoic philosopher, poet, playwright, and statesman. In the last years of his life, Seneca paid special attention to issues of moral self-improvement, many of his thoughts are consonant with the Christian worldview – it was not for nothing that Seneca was considered “almost a Christian” and attributed to him correspondence with the Apostle Paul. As you know, the problem of comprehending the essence of happiness and finding a happy life for a person was one of the central ones in the legacy of Seneca. “About a happy life” – the philosophical views of the thinker about the saving power of a virtuous life, which in Seneca is understood as the desire to know the highest truth, love for the world, people living on earth, faith in the highest destiny of each person, daily inner work of a person on his soul , fidelity to tradition and duty.

On September 16, the artistic director of the Theater of Nations, Yevgeny Mironov, spoke about what the new season will be like in the team he leads.
Evgeny Mironov
Photo: Gennady Cherkasov
Actually, it has already begun. On September 5, the theater went to Tula as part of the Big Tour program, and then took part in the IV International Cultural Forum Golden Mask in Ulyanovsk.
In the upcoming season, the theater will continue experiments with novice authors and directors on the Small Stage. It is there that on September 17 the premiere of the play “#shakespeare’s sonnets” directed by Timofey Kulyabin will take place, which will turn to sonnets dedicated to withering and oblivion. On October 2, the performance “My Anomaly” will be performed by the director, stage designer and choreographer in one person – Mart Kangro from Estonia. This is a co-production of the Kostroma company of modern dance “Dialogue Dance” and the Moscow rock band J.Hellboy. According to Mart Kangro, he is interested not only in the anatomy of the body, but also in its sociality, which does not end beyond our skin. “I am interested in the whole person, as he is, with all his signs, friends, the music he listens to, what he breathes and lives in,” says the director.
Polina Struzhkova, a graduate of the Moscow International Film School and Russian Academy of Theater Arts, will present the Kindergarten of Poems on October 18 based on the poems of the Scottish writer and poet Robert Louis Stevenson. The main role will be played by a young and talented actress Nadezhda Lumpova, who recently made her bright film debut. She starred in the film by Oksana Bychkova “One more year” based on the play by Alexander Volodin “Do not part with your loved ones.” “Kindergarten of Poems” is the first performance at the Theater of Nations addressed to a young audience. As part of the Russian Classics cycle, the December premiere of Russian Romances directed by Dmitry Volkostrelov will take place.
June 2015 is scheduled for the release of Pushkin’s Tales staged by the outstanding director Robert Wilson as part of the same programme. He has already chosen the actors. The lucky ones were: Daria Moroz, Dmitry Serdyuk, Elena Nikolaeva, Oleg Savtsov, Anna Galinova and Alexander Novin. Pushkin the narrator will be played by Yevgeny Mironov. A whole team of Wilson will come to Moscow: German opera director Nicola Panzer, lighting designer A.J. Weisbard, set designer Annick Lavalier and not only them. Rehearsals began back in August at the Robert Wilson Watermill Center near New York. In November they continue in Moscow. The world premiere is scheduled for June 16 at the Theater of Nations. .
The no less famous director Luc Bondy is also invited to the theatre. He turned to Chekhov’s play “Ivanov”.
Work is in full swing on the social-documentary project “The Touched” with the support of the Foundation for the Deaf-Blind-Mute, directed by Ruslan Malikov and playwright Marina Krapivina.
This autumn the Theater of Nations will tour Tbilisi and Yekaterinburg. The performance of the Theater of Nations “Miss Julie” was invited to the prestigious Lincoln Center.

5 Best International Schools in Panama City, Panama
⇩ Scroll directly to the list of top 5 best schools in Panama City ⇩
With the Panama Canal ensuring a thriving economy, it’s no wonder Panama is increasingly popular among expats. The country leads the way in many respects for Central America, and not just with its economy. Among many other things, you’ll find the best international schools in the region here.
The majority of international schools in Panama are located in the capital, Panama City. You’ll find some in other cities like Colon and David, but the choice available won’t be as good as here. Schools are spread across the capital city, with a cluster near Tocumen International Airport, some next to urban forest areas north of the city centre, and some located in the heart of the city itself.
You should keep in mind, however, that this broad spread of schools across the city could create a challenging commute. Remember to consider where you will be living in Panama before choosing a school. If you don’t know which part of the city you’ll be living in, consider some areas where you would like to live and try to find out how the commute would work from there. Most schools offer a bus service for students which should help.
The majority of Panama City’s international schools teach through English, with some offering a choice of instruction through English or Spanish. So if your child hasn’t started learning the local language yet, this is a great way for them to catch up. The most well-known schools in the city have native English-speaking teachers, but this can be hit-and-miss in some of the newer, lesser known international schools.
The school calendar may follow Panama’s public schools and run from February to December, (November to January are the summer months in this part of the world). Alternatively, many schools choose to follow the typical calendar of the international school’s country; i. e. a British or American international school will take a summer break during the British/American summer months, from June to August.
Like international schools all over the world, Panama City’s international schools have small class sizes to encourage student-teacher engagement and hands-on learning. 25 students or less per class is the norm here. You’ll find a mix of nationalities among the student body, with a relatively small number of local students (usually around 10-25%).
Although international schools in Panama City aren’t strictly religious, it’s important to know that the vast majority of Panama’s population are Roman Catholic. Religion plays a very important part in people’s daily lives. You should expect this to enter into school life in some way, especially if there is a high number of native teachers and staff in the school. That said, religious activities should not be forced upon your child and will usually be optional.
Below, we have compiled the top 5 international schools in Panama City according to our users.
However, there are another 11 schools to choose from in the city.
You can find the best international school for your child by personalising your results. Just fill in your search criteria, and we will calculate a personal score for every international school in Panama City based on your requirements.

Immigration to Panama: How to choose the right school for your child?
Every parent, when he decides to immigrate with his family abroad, worries about how to choose the right school for his child? Panama can offer emigrants a choice of free education in a public school or paid education in private schools.
The education system in Panama includes free and compulsory education for Panamanians, which is enshrined in the country’s Constitution back in January 1941 years old. As in many Latin American countries, Panama’s education system is underfunded by the government. This fact has repeatedly provoked criticism from various international organizations.
Nevertheless, the general level of education in Panamania is significantly higher than in other countries of the Latin American region. So the literacy of the population of Panama is 93%. In recent years, the government has been investing more in the development of its education system, but the allocated funding is still not enough.
Many experts say that Panamanian education is gaining positive points at the expense of private international schools with links to well-known educational institutions in the USA, Canada and Europe. The Panamanian education system is divided into two levels – primary education and secondary education.
What does primary education in Panama include?
Primary education in public schools in Panama is free.
Pre-school education has two levels, and includes the period of the child’s stay in kindergarten. This is the age of children from 4 to 5 years. At the same time, the state does not oblige citizens to send children to preschool institutions and receive a preschool level of education.
The elementary school has six years of education, and covers the age of children from 6 (grade 1) to 12 years (grade 9).
Secondary school – the first stage “Cyclo común” covers children aged 12 to 15 years, that is, it is designed for three years, after which a school certificate is issued.
Secondary school – the second stage “Ciclo académico” is already a paid form of education, but not mandatory. It includes three years of education for children from 15 to 18 years old, and is based on extracurricular activities. Students themselves choose a technical or academic direction, in specialties in the fields of: natural science, mathematics, technology, literature, business basics, as well as agriculture and animal husbandry. At the end of the three-year period of study, students receive a high school diploma (Diploma de Bachiller).
In some parts of the country there are specialized educational institutions that provide training courses for children with disabilities. Including in Panama, there are informal programs for adults to improve education and change qualifications.
Those who wish are taught new technical and professional skills for 2-3 years, after which they receive a specialty and a certificate, and can get a better job.
Higher education in Panama
Higher education in Panama can be obtained at the universities of the country. University curricula are focused on the economic interests of the Republic of Panama.
Against the backdrop of many years of economic growth, the country is experiencing a serious shortage of highly qualified specialists. The most demanded sectors of the economy are: science, the maritime industry, the environmental sector, telecommunications and Internet technologies.
The length of the school year and the assessment system in Panamanian schools
The Panamanian Ministry of Education is responsible for regulating the school curriculum, writing textbooks and teaching aids for teachers. In turn, private schools have the right to deviate from state educational requirements and programs, and determine their own concept of education.
Spanish is the main language of instruction in public schools. After 2001, according to the order of the government, the English language also received the official status of education.
Public and private secondary schools in Panama have a five-point assessment system in which a three-point score is satisfactory and allows a student to progress to the next semester or grade.
If a student misses four or more subjects in the same year, or misses the same subject twice in a row, they will not be able to advance to the next grade and may be suspended or transferred to another school.
Panama Public Educational Institutions
In general, pre-school education is not particularly developed throughout the country, although in large cities of Panama you can find a sufficient number of kindergartens, private play or pre-school institutions. Usually, Panamanians are accustomed to hiring home nannies to raise young children.
The academic year in public Panamanian schools, as well as in most private schools, consists of three semesters. The study begins in the last days of February, and ends in December. Summer holidays last from the beginning of January to the end of February.
At the same time, there are many private schools in the country that operate the so-called “northern” calendar, with the academic year from September to June.
The curriculum in Panama includes subjects such as mathematics, a foreign language, science, art and physical education. Classes at the school (depending on the schedule) can start at 7 or 8 in the morning and end at 14-00 or 15-00.
With regard to providing students with additional classes in the form of dance or art circles, as well as other electives, such an opportunity does not always exist.
Despite some improvements in Panama’s public education, the quality of education “leaves much to be desired. ” Especially in rural areas where there are often cramped classrooms, there are not enough teachers and there may be children of different ages in the same class.
In this case, the school may not be very close to where many students live, in which case the school provides students with school buses. But in cities the situation is much better. Given all the pros and cons, the quality of public education in Panama has been improving in recent years, but still inferior to the level of private schools.
The enrollment process usually consists of a simple meeting between the school principal and the student and their parents. Depending on the availability or absence of vacant places in the school, it is the director who decides whether the student is admitted to study.
For enrollment, you must provide the following documents:
Health certificate.
Birth certificate or passport or identity card (cedula).
Statement of academic performance in subjects from the previous school, notarized in the country of issue. After that, the document must be certified by the Panamanian consulate or embassy.
Panamanian Private Schools
Panamanian Private Schools are among the best in Central America. The quality of education in private schools is equal to the level of schools in North America. Panamanian private school administrations are well resourced and have highly qualified teachers. Typically, subjects in private schools are taught in English, resulting in a bilingual middle class in Panamanian society.
Panama City has a large number of private Panamanian and international schools. Tuition fees in international schools, in comparison with Panamanian ones, are quite high. Therefore, the main students of international schools are the children of immigrants.
Admission to an international school depends not only on the availability of space, but also on the child’s knowledge of the language used at the school. It is advisable to start the enrollment process early, as the procedure can be delayed.
Most of the international schools in Panama have their own websites, so you can start by filling out the online form and using the online registration.
When making a decision about choosing a school for your child, you should first find out the language used, as well as the school curriculum. This approach is necessary so that in the future the program is not too difficult for the child, especially during the transition period in the new school.
It is also important to pay attention to the volume and qualification of knowledge that children receive at school. If your child in the future wants to enter, for example, universities in Canada, the UK or the USA, then it is necessary that the standards and level of knowledge gained allow him to enter the chosen university.
With regard to the cost of education, the main part of all international schools in Panama, when enrolling a child in school, obliges parents to pay a so-called registration fee or donation, which can vary from 1000 USD to 16000 USD . In this case, both one-time payments for the year and installments can be used, within the specified time before each semester.
Health and Medical Services in Panama
Among the international private schools in Panama there are also traditional small: Catholic, Jewish, Christian and Muslim schools, where teaching is conducted in two or more languages. Many of them are located in almost every district of the city.
For example, in Panama City there are Catholic schools such as: El Javier, La Salle, Colegio Episcopal, Las Esclavas, Maria Imaculada, St. Mary’s, as well as Christian Crossroads Christian Academy.
International bilingual schools:
International School Panama – Spanish, English.
Interamerican Academy of Panama (Academia Interamericana de Panama) – Spanish and English.
The Oxford School – English, Spanish.
Balboa High School – English, Spanish.
Boston International School (Boston School International) with the teaching of English and Spanish.
French Lyceum named after Paul Gauguin (Lycée Français Paul Gauguin) – education according to the French educational program, and only in French. Also, children can learn Spanish and English, which are secondary.
King’s College Panama – English, Spanish.
What do you need to emigrate to Panama?
In order to emigrate to Panama, you need to use the State Investment Programs, which are established by the government of the country. There are a fairly large number of such migration programs, and choosing the most suitable one for yourself, you can sign up for a free consultation with us.
If you are serious about immigrating to Panama with your whole family, you should immediately be reminded that, for example, buying residential or commercial property in the country, you automatically receive a legal right to reside. Here is one example of real estate that can be bought in the prestigious central area of the capital of Panama.
Our specialists in Panama have developed a service “Introduction tour for investors in real estate in Panama” , which will introduce you to the volume and range of housing offered in the capital, as well as beach real estate on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts .
Investment Programs provide a foreigner with temporary and permanent residence permits in Panama. All of them are based on certain rules and requirements that a foreign applicant must fulfill.
A number of investment visas allow a foreigner to become a citizen of Panama after five years of permanent residence in the state. In this case, a foreigner can obtain citizenship only through naturalization in the country, showing their economic and social attachment to Panama.
Of great importance in this matter will be not only the presence of financial and material assets in the country, but also the continuity of the term of permanent residence in the country.
The Panamanian authorities do not monitor the period of stay of foreign residents in Panama, it will be necessary to prove to the government that the requirements for permanent residence are met. Such confirmation can be, for example: payment of utilities, payment of any local taxes, the presence of a business in the country, and much more.
For those foreigners who do not aspire to claim Panamanian citizenship in the future, maintaining the status of “permanent resident” will be easy. The main thing is to come to Panama for one or two weeks at least once every two years, since the absence in the country for more than two years will jeopardize the status of permanent residence in the country.
Here are the most popular investment programs that citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and other post-Soviet countries can apply to obtain permanent residence and citizenship.
Economic investor visa
Friendly countries visa
Business visa
Our company can advise you on the preparation of the necessary documents, and direct support in Panama, during the process of obtaining a residence permit.

At what age can you work as a nanny – from 16 and older
When young parents are faced with the question of choosing a nanny for a child, few have a good idea of what age she should be. It all depends on the range of duties of the babysitter and the financial capabilities of the employer. The advantage of young nannies can be considered good physical health, and older nannies – work experience. There are many exceptions to these stereotypes.
In the article we will consider the features of nannies of different age groups, restrictions on work in accordance with the current legislation, which nanny to give preference to – young or old.
From what age can you be a nanny and up to what age
In Russia, even teenagers cope with the duties of educators. Many have younger brothers and sisters, others just like to mess around with babies. Babysitting is a good way to earn money in a fair and safe way.
From what age you can work as a nanny, school-age children are already beginning to be interested.
The state today allows hiring boys and girls from the age of 14 with the consent of their parents or guardians, and from the age of 15 a teenager can make a decision on his own. The number of hours of the working week for a teenager is strictly regulated by Article 92 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation:
14-16 years old when combining work with study – 2.5 hours a day, 12 hours a week;
14-16 years old without combining work with study – 5 hours a day, 24 hours a week;
16-18 years old combined with work and study – 4 hours a day, 17.5 hours a week;
16-18 years old without combining work with study – 7 hours a day, 35 hours a week.
If parents need to leave the child for a short time during the day, a teenager as a babysitter is the best fit.
Young babysitter distinctions
A young nanny, who herself was a child not so long ago, can easily establish contact with children. She will be active: she will play with them with pleasure, run on the street, take up drawing, sculpting, and share her creative skills and abilities.
Thanks to excellent health and physical data, the young teacher will not complain about feeling unwell, will keep up with the child everywhere and even carry him in her arms.
Usually, young nannies for a child strive to become necessary, gain experience, so they listen to advice and comments addressed to them, make mistakes, but they also learn from them. In addition, they try to educate kids in accordance with modern rules, taking into account pedagogical recommendations and refusing to be conservative.
For their work, as a rule, young babysitters do not require a large fee.
The disadvantages include the lack of necessary knowledge in the upbringing and development of children. In some cases, nannies do not understand how to properly care for a child, they lack experience, since they do not yet have their own family and children.
There is also a possibility that the nanny will take up her personal life and leave the ward, who managed to become attached to her.
Features of the experimental
A teacher of respectable age has an extensive store of knowledge and commands respect from the child and all family members. The nanny knows not only how to properly care for children of different ages, but also how to run a household, what menu to choose for your child.
During work, she will not make spontaneous decisions, showing consistency and calmness.
Usually nannies in years are reliable assistants that you can rely on. As a rule, her own children have already grown up, she is not burdened with a family, so she will be able to pay maximum attention to her child.
Of the minuses, it is worth noting the likely health problems, as well as established views on life, in which, perhaps, the nanny does not agree with the child’s parents, especially regarding methods of education.
Is it possible to work as a nanny at the age of 13-16: follow the law
Persons under 18 have the right to work, but their employment is limited in time and subject to certain requirements.
A teenager of 14-16 years old can officially find a job in accordance with the law if he is not studying full-time (or has stopped studying, taking into account legislative norms) and he has completed general education. In the period not occupied with studies, the teenager is allowed harmless and uncomplicated work. Those under the age of 14 are only entitled to work in certain areas:
concert;
cinema and theater;
circus.
According to Art. 63 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation there is a prerequisite: work should not harm health – physical or moral. Thus, to the question of whether it is possible to work as a nanny at the age of 13, labor legislation gives a negative answer.
For the employment of children under 16 years of age, the written consent of the parents or persons replacing them is required.
Is it possible to work as a nanny at the age of 16, what does the law say? For minors, the legislation provides for a reduced working time, while the production standards are calculated on the basis of general indicators in proportion to the hours worked. Official employment of a teenager provides for the provision of documents:
passports;
document on education or certificate of suspension of studies;
work book;
medical certificate;
permission of parents (custodians) and guardianship authorities for employment (if the child is under 16 years old).
For those who combine study and work, payment is provided in accordance with the hours worked. Every year, teenagers, like adults, have the right to take paid leave of 31 calendar days. The employer does not have the right to refuse to provide it, to replace the leave with compensation or to interrupt it ahead of schedule.
Nanny for a child by age: advantages and disadvantages
More on the topic:
People have many personal and professional characteristics that do not depend on age. Contrary to the stereotype that older nannies act not according to the employer’s needs, but according to their own established standards, innate stubbornness can also be observed in young girls.
Age is not affected by appearance and grooming. If the nanny is not indifferent to her own appearance and health, she will have a pleasant and fresh look even in adulthood, even in comparison with younger colleagues who do not take care of themselves.
A person’s readiness for change and learning new things depends solely on the personality, and not on age. Many nannies try to develop themselves, learn new methods of raising children, and even in everyday terms are ready to cope with the electronics and appliances that are present in the house where they work.
Does not depend on age and work experience in families. Sometimes a woman becomes a nanny only after she retires, having experience only in raising her own children and grandchildren. And a young girl can have a lot of practical knowledge and skills.
There are also qualities that are inherent in people at a certain age.
Adolescents aged 14 to 18
Often, 14-18-year-old girls try to earn extra money as babysitters in their free time from school. They want to find a job in order to have their own finances and be at least a little independent of their parents’ money.
Is it legal to babysit at 14? Such a nanny can be hired by those who need to leave their child unattended by their mother for a couple of hours a day. In this age category, there are responsible and serious people, but it should be understood that parents are fully responsible for the safety and health of the child. Before entrusting your child to a girl who was a child herself, ask her questions:
What experience does she have with children?
How long does she need a job?
Is she going to link her future professional activity with raising children?
Perhaps the girl is studying at a pedagogical college or institute, a medical school. Then she needs practice herself. Benefits for 14-18 year old nannies:
desire to follow the instructions of the employer, diligently fulfill duties;
energy;
the ability to quickly find contact with children of different ages.
Even the lack of experience in raising children cannot be called a significant disadvantage, since at this age teenagers are easily trained.
Students and youth
Adult young people usually have already formed the skills of behavior in everyday life and communication with people of different ages. Babysitting for students is suitable in many ways. However, most of them perceive child care as a temporary part-time job.
You don’t have to count on the fact that the nanny will stay in your family for a long time. As soon as a more suitable option turns up for her, she will leave you. The main disadvantage of this situation is that the child will have to get used to a new person.
This age category of babysitters is distinguished by activity, the ability to present themselves favorably, and competently write a resume. Often they themselves choose the family where they will work, knowing for sure what kind of salary they need and what functions they will have to perform.
Such girls have a formed character, established habits, a stable psyche, and most importantly, experience in raising children. They are always in demand in families. Pluses for nannies from 18 to 30:
unmarried marital status;
responsible attitude to duties;
good physical data;
willingness to play outdoor games;
knowledge of modern gadgets, the ability to navigate the Internet.
If the nanny has a driver’s license, this will be an additional advantage: she will be able to pick up the child from kindergarten or school, take him to additional classes and entertainment.
However, such girls are mainly focused on making money and may leave if a more tempting offer looms on the horizon. In addition, they need to arrange a personal life, which means that as soon as the girl acquires the status of a married woman, she will most likely stop working as a nanny.
30 to 45 years old
Many thirty-year-old women can already share the experience of raising and developing their own children. They treat work with great responsibility, especially if it is connected with kids.
At the same time, they put their own family above all else, without sacrificing its interests for the sake of professional duties. Having a child, they can become pregnant again and go on maternity leave at the expense of the employer. When hiring women of this age category as a nanny, it is worth asking how having a family of your own will affect duties towards pupils.
It is good if the nanny lives close to the employer. This increases the likelihood that she will stay in the family for a long time.
50 and up
Women who are 50 or older are subconsciously perceived by the child’s parents as alternative grandmothers. They often make great babysitters for years to come, until your child no longer needs a caregiver.
Such women are trusted with both babies and older children, given that they have experience in raising their own children. Even for some inexperienced parents, they can be a great example. Age Babysitter Benefits:
Willingness to stay in the foster family for a long time.
The ability to adequately perceive problem situations: illnesses, accidents with a child, teenage psychological trauma. They can help find a way out of the current circumstances.
The desire to establish contact with both parents and the child in order to stay in the family as long as possible. It is not uncommon for nannies and children to become sincerely attached to each other.

How old can you be to work as a nanny – from 16 and older
14-16 years old when combining work with study – 2.5 hours a day, 12 hours a week;
14-16 years old without combining work with study – 5 hours a day, 24 hours a week;
16-18 years old when combining work with study – 4 hours a day, 17.5 hours a week;
Those under the age of 14 are only entitled to work in certain areas:
concert;
cinema and theater;
The official employment of a teenager provides for the provision of documents:
passports;
documents on education or certificate of suspension of studies;
work book;
medical certificate;
permission of parents (custodians) and guardianship authorities for employment (if the child is under 16 years old).
Is she going to connect her future professional activity with the upbringing of children?
Perhaps the girl is studying at a pedagogical college or institute, a medical school. Then she needs practice herself. Benefits for 14-18 year old nannies:
desire to follow the instructions of the employer, diligently fulfill duties;
energy;
the ability to quickly find contact with children of different ages.
Pluses for nannies from 18 to 30:
unmarried marital status;
responsible attitude to duties;
good physical data;
willingness to play outdoor games;
knowledge of modern gadgets, the ability to navigate the Internet.
Age babysitting benefits:
Willingness to stay in the foster family for a long time.
The ability to adequately perceive problematic situations: illness, accidents with a child, teenage psychological trauma. They can help find a way out of the current circumstances.
The desire to establish contact with both parents and the child in order to stay in the family as long as possible. It is not uncommon for nannies and children to become sincerely attached to each other.
