Highly Trained Staff

Teachers are CPR certified, have passed a background check, have 24 hours of pre-service training, and complete 24 hours of child development yearly.

Country Setting

Located on 2. 2 acres on Weiss Lane in Pflugerville, Kinder Haus has 5 large play areas, giving children lots of fresh air and country views.

Infants -12 month

Daily care is focused on cuddling, talking to, playing with, holding, and rocking.

Three Year Olds

Pre-reading development, science in the classroom and outdoors, pre-math concepts, and more.

Toddlers

Learning social skills, sharing with classmates, and navigating boundaries.

Four Year Olds

Number readiness, verbal and language arts skills, reading and phonetic readiness, and more.

2 Year Olds

Continue developing social skills, colors, finger songs, nursery rhymes, and art activities.

After Schoolers

Study time, outdoor play, sensory development, social/emotional development, and more.

Kauffman – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy opens at SKOLKOVO Business School

Moscow, March 5, 2013. – Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and Kauffman Fellows Academy announce the launch of a new Kauffman educational program – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy. For the first time, Kauffman will present his unique course outside of Silicon Valley.

This innovative 10-week Executive Education program is designed specifically for current and future venture capitalists in the country. The maximum task that the creators of the course set for themselves is to form a “smart money” segment in Russia, which would include strong venture funds, business angels and private investors.

During the competitive selection process, 20-30 candidates will be admitted to the program. The training structure assumes an integrated approach, which will include online lectures, seminars by world-renowned teachers and experts, and project work – the creation of independent funds or the development of existing ones.

Alumni of the program will be able to join a first-class community of partners, entrepreneurs and others in the industry as Kauffman International Members.

As part of the course, Kauffman – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy students also have the opportunity to attend lectures and master classes at the SKOLKOVO Startup Academy, a program aimed at entrepreneurs working on their own startups.

Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Third Hypostasis, the Third Person, the Third Essence of the One and Indivisible God. So, when the Holy Spirit descended to earth, the Trinity was revealed to the world – all the Three Hypostases of God, hence the name. The main icon of the holiday, which is brought to the center of the temple on the Day of the Holy Trinity, is the famous “Old Testament Trinity” by Andrei Rublev. Since in 2020, due to quarantine, not everyone will be able to get into the temple, it’s time to figure out what is encrypted in this masterpiece, familiar to all of us from childhood.

Let’s start with the plot of the icon. For the first time, the fact that God exists in three Persons was revealed to people back in the Old Testament times, when the Lord appeared to Abraham and his wife Sarah “at the oak forest of Mamre.” “Abraham and Sarah were old and advanced in years,” says the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis. The Bible further tells how this phenomenon happened: Abraham “lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, three men stood against him. ” So, “three men”, the Lord appeared to Abraham. Abraham met these “three men”, prepared a dinner for them, and then They asked Abraham: “Where is Sarah, your wife?”, He answered: “Here, in the tent.” “And one of them said (the phrase “one of them” in the text of the Bible is highlighted, emphasizing that the Lord appeared in three persons):” I will again be with you at the same time, next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son. … Is there anything difficult for the Lord?” “And indeed, Abraham and Sarah had a son, Isaac, at the appointed time, from whom, as God promised Abraham, a great nation descended, and then it was in the offspring of Isaac that Jesus Christ was born.

The “Old Testament Trinity” depicts the appearance of the Holy Trinity to Abraham and Sarah at the oak of Mamre. And we see the oak itself behind the back of the central Angel.

Rublyov’s “Trinity” is called theology in colors. Because the finished pictorial form of the ingenious icon tells us in the language of the artistic image about the inseparability and inseparability of the Three Hypostases of the Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – about their consubstantiality. On the feast of the Trinity, believers remember that in this world the fullness of all the Three Hypostases of the Creator has appeared to us. And the main icon of the holiday in some incredible way opens for us, often theologically unenlightened people, the most difficult postulate – about the inseparability and at the same time non-merging of all the Three Persons of God.

But how does Andrei Rublev achieve this? Here is what academician Boris Raushenbakh, the creator of space satellite orientation systems and, at the same time, the author of the work “The Coming of the Holy Trinity”, a researcher of the ancient Russian icon, writes about this. “In the time before Rublev, all the icons of the Trinity were painted according to the type known as the “Hospitality of Abraham.” Not only the Trinity, but also Abraham and Sarah were depicted here, treating dear guests, sometimes the slaughter of a calf by a youngster. The Trinity in the form of three Angels existed even before Rublev, but the absence of Abraham and Sarah in them is explained quite simply: there was not enough space for their image . .. As soon as the size of the sacred image increased, Abraham and Sarah necessarily appeared in the field of view.

And further, Academician Raushenbakh draws an extremely important conclusion: “The appearance of Rublev’s Trinity in the 15th century was not the result of a gradual development, it was a leap, something explosive. With amazing courage, the artist completely excludes scenes of hospitality, cleans everything longer. of fellowship, but the Eucharist, which unites not into fellowship, but into the Church. Rublev succeeds in making it so that the one contemplating the icon sees the complete trinity dogma. In the pre-Rublev time, the icons, relatively speaking, had to have a commentator who would explain and supplement what was depicted, since their content from the point of view of the embodiment of the dogma was always incomplete. Here, for the first time, such a commentator turned out to be redundant.”

Let us remember Rauschenbach’s phrase that the appearance of Rublev’s “Trinity” was not the result of a gradual development, that it was a leap (an act of insight?), and we will draw the first conclusion. Rublev has nothing superfluous, everything works for him to elevate the icon from the image of a specific situation – the appearance of the Three Angels to Abraham and Sarah at the oak forest in Mamra to the artistic penetration into the Mystery. The mystery of the eternity of God. The mystery of the Trinity of God. The three sit at a table and have a silent conversation. Unity binds Them: They are three, but at the same time They are one. It is incomprehensible, but, at the same time, absolutely, true, unconditional.

Now let’s try to examine the icon. Let’s start with the most obvious observation: the three depicted Angels are exactly the same type. There are no visible differences between them – so we get the feeling that theologians have formulated as “the consubstantiality of the three Hypostases, the three Persons of God”, their inconsistency and inseparability.

And now let’s turn to the composition. She is extremely interesting. Look, the composition of the icon is built on the principle of a circle, and the thought of a person peering into the Trinity also moves in a circle, or rather, we seem to be unable to go beyond it. This circle unites the three Angels into the indivisible, into the Trinity.

“On a light (originally gold) background, three Angels are depicted sitting around a table on which a bowl stands. The middle Angel rises above the others, a tree is depicted behind him, behind the right Angel – a mountain, behind the left – chambers. The heads of the Angels are bowed in silent conversation. Their faces are similar – as if the same face is depicted in three versions. you can draw along the halos, along the outlines of the wings, along the movement of the angelic hands, and all these circles converge to the epicenter of the icon, where a bowl is depicted, and in the bowl is the head of a calf, a sign of sacrifice.0003

Before us is not just a meal, but a Eucharistic meal in which the atoning sacrifice is performed. The middle Angel blesses the cup, the one sitting at his right hand receives it, the Angel, located on the left hand of the middle one, seems to be moving this cup to the one opposite him. The main meaning of the image is transparent – in the bowels of the Holy Trinity there is a council on the redemption of mankind, “says art historian Irina Yazykova.

And here is what we read from the theologian Professor Leonid Uspensky: “If the tilt of the heads and figures of two Angels, directed towards the third, unites them together, then their hand gestures are directed towards the Eucharistic chalice with the head of a sacrificial animal standing on a white table, as if on a throne … it constricts the movements of the hands “. The sacrificial bowl – the semantic and compositional center of the icon – is one for all three Angels.

And here – be careful! – an amazing thing. Usually, on an icon, one of the figures necessarily looks at the one who is praying: for example, if the Divine Infant looks at the Mother of God, then Mary herself will look not at Her Son, but at us, the faithful, answering our prayerful gaze directed at Her. This is the principle of icon painting: the icon draws the worshiper into its space. Rublev violates this law. Why? For what?

All the Angels of Rublyov’s “Trinity” are turned to each other for a reason. Closedness of the circle of communication, when the Angels lean towards each other and towards the cup, when even their gazes form a circle… So the person standing in front of the icon is drawn into the icon, and his gaze involuntarily focuses on the cup – the cup of sacrifice. She is the center. She is the main thing. And to us, looking at the icon, another mystery of God is revealed – the mystery of the infinite Divine Love for us. After all, it is out of love for us, people, that God sends His Only Begotten Son into our world – a sacrifice that redeems humanity, a sacrifice that redeems humanity from the captivity of sin. Of course, in order to see such depths in the image of Rublev’s “Trinity”, you need at least a minimal knowledge of the figurative system of icon painting. But the next discovery can be made by anyone who is attentive to their feelings. Because everyone who at least once fixed his gaze on the “Trinity” involuntarily noted a feeling of peace, a feeling of touching eternity, the transcendent nature of the image. This is also no coincidence. This is an illustration of the fact that the three Persons of the Trinity always exist, an illustration of the thesis of eternity.

“But “always” is a category of time, and it is extremely difficult to convey time with the means available to the fine arts. Only indirect methods are possible here, writes Boris Raushenbakh. Rublev very subtly and successfully uses this opportunity. Turning to all the means available to him (composition, line, color), he creates a feeling of silence, peace and a stop of time. This is also facilitated by the fact that the Angels are conducting a silent conversation. After all, ordinary conversation requires utterance words, it takes time, and if Rublev depicted such a conversation, time would enter into an icon. In a silent conversation, images and emotions are exchanged, not words. After all, emotions can arise instantly and last as long as you like.0003

No wonder such concepts as “love at first sight” or “eternal love” appeared. Similarly, images: a person is able to immediately imagine a beautiful landscape. If you try to convey love or a landscape in words, then time will be necessary for this, and it is impossible to adequately convey such subtle feelings as love in words. The image and emotions will always be richer and brighter than words in this sense. As a result of the totality of the means used by Rublev, it seems that the three Angels have been sitting and talking for an infinitely long time and will continue to sit here just as long. They are outside the bustling and hurrying world of people – they are in eternity. But in eternity, time does not flow, it is entirely in it. What is in eternity really becomes perpetual, always existing,” the academician sums up.

Of course, it is not enough just to look at an icon – with the eyes of an idle lover of painting, with the eyes of an art critic. Only prayerful anticipation can bring us closer to this great mystery, which once, by God’s grace, was revealed to the holy icon painter Andrei Rublev.

The true meaning of the Day of the Holy Trinity is greatly distorted in the mass understanding, as well as other Orthodox holidays. Over the years, many superstitions and traditions have appeared that not only have nothing to do with the Church Charter, but also defame the Orthodox faith. Priest Alexander Yermolin , head of the Missionary Department of the Kazan Diocese, told Tatar-inform how to properly celebrate the Day of the Holy Trinity.

“The understanding of the Day of the Holy Trinity is greatly distorted in the mass understanding. If we ask the average person what holidays he knows in Orthodoxy, he will name Christmas, Easter and Trinity. That is, this holiday is quite popular,” says father Alexander.

The Feast of the Holy Trinity is 50 days away from Easter and is therefore also called Pentecost. It always falls on a Sunday.

“The Trinity parental Saturday precedes this day. Prayer is the only thing the dead really need. Moreover, prayer is the most important and most important thing that cannot be replaced by absolutely nothing. Neither our tears, nor our words, nor regrets, and even a mournful look – none of all this can replace prayer for the departed. There are also many superstitions associated with this day. For example, that pregnant women should not go to the cemetery. Of course, this is not justified in any way, the priest believes. Some peoples have preserved the tradition of sitting on special mounds near the graves.

“Some sources say that these days the pagans also had some parental days. I doubt it very much, because the Trinity is celebrated every year on different days,” he said.

Many, as it turns out, are convinced that suicides are commemorated on this day. This categorically cannot be done, the clergyman warns.

“I always ask church staff to ask if parishioners write names of suicides on a note. You need to understand that we do not commemorate suicides at all. Because they themselves have already decided their existence, they have committed a sin that they cannot repent of, because death occurred at the moment of its commission. There is a rite of consolation for relatives, but this is not a funeral service. The Church gives all this to the judgment of God. We pray that the Lord will accept the person, but in this situation we do not pray, because the person himself decided so. The Lord, in his mercy, can forgive and have mercy, but there is a church rule. Just as the funeral service is not a pass to the Kingdom of Heaven, so the Church does not pray for suicides,” says the rector.

Father Alexander believes that such a delusion appeared because of the prayers that are read in the Trinity Parents’ Room. They commemorate the dead under various circumstances: “beat with a stone, drown in the sea.” Somehow, people very delicately attributed suicides to it.

There are such long services with the reading of kneeling prayers, for the first time we kneel, because there were no earthly bows for all 50 days – it was the feast of the Resurrection of Christ. And such a divine service is held once a year,” Father Alexander said.

The holiday itself is dedicated to the mystery of the Holy Trinity. Mystery – because our human mind cannot comprehend this, says the priest.

“The existence of the Holy Trinity is something that so fundamentally transcends our consciousness that we can only accept it out of love,” said the clergyman.

It so happened that a lot of completely non-Orthodox things turned out to be connected with the Day of the Holy Trinity, the rector complains.

“What is very important, the Trinity is not a holiday of birches, it is the birthday of the Church. Our Church has an unequivocal clear date of birth – on the Trinity, the 33rd year from the Nativity of Christ, the Lord sends the Holy Spirit, and thus the Christian Church is founded. The apostles receive the gift of speaking in different languages ​​and set out to preach the gospel. That is, the Lord has done everything for us, we do not need anything else, the full cycle is completed. All we have to do is live a Christian life, go to church, go to confession, take communion and do our Christian deeds,” says Father Alexander.

It is believed that we are richer than all the righteous of the Old Testament, because we have the Church. They lived according to the rules of the Old Testament, which was many times more difficult, he noted.

“Very often we judge the Day of the Holy Trinity by some external things. Here is the greenery. By the way, this question is very difficult. We usually get very simple answers to the most difficult questions. We say that the temple is decorated with greenery, mind you – not with birch trees, greenery. In southern countries, for example, what kind of birches can there be? Greenery is a symbol of the life-giving grace of the Holy Spirit, it is a symbol of life. And the Lord sends the grace of the Holy Spirit so that everything blooms and, first of all, we ourselves bloom, spiritually blossom,” says Father Alexander.

There are many superstitions about Trinity weed. They just don’t do anything with it: they brew it, store it in order to put it in a coffin for the dead. But it’s still not so sad, the saddest thing is when the really pagan things start: wreaths, mermaids, jumping over fires. Here is just a small list of what people sincerely believe in:

• if a guy kisses a girl under a birch tree, the girl will be his wife;
• that day they listened to the cuckoo: how many times it cuckoos, how many days the girl has yet to spend in her father’s house;
• if you wash yourself with morning dew, you will keep freshness and beauty for a long time.

“Faith in the Holy Trinity – the fundamental difference between Orthodoxy and other religions”

In Orthodoxy, there is a day after the holiday when they remember those saints who took part in it, the so-called heroes of the occasion. “It turns out that the Lord comes into the world to preach himself. His Son comes to preach the gospel. He himself suffered, was crucified for us, and resurrected for us too. Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Third Hypostasis, the Third Person, the Third Essence of the One and Indivisible God. So, when the Holy Spirit descended to earth, the Trinity was revealed to the world – all the Three Hypostases of God, hence the name. The main icon of the holiday, which is brought to the center of the temple on the Day of the Holy Trinity, is the famous “Old Testament Trinity” by Andrei Rublev. Since in 2020, due to quarantine, not everyone will be able to get into the temple, it’s time to figure out what is encrypted in this masterpiece, familiar to all of us from childhood.

Let’s start with the plot of the icon. For the first time, the fact that God exists in three Persons was revealed to people back in the Old Testament times, when the Lord appeared to Abraham and his wife Sarah “at the oak forest of Mamre.” “Abraham and Sarah were old and advanced in years,” says the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis. The Bible further tells how this phenomenon happened: Abraham “lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, three men stood against him. ” So, “three men”, the Lord appeared to Abraham. Abraham met these “three men”, prepared a dinner for them, and then They asked Abraham: “Where is Sarah, your wife?”, He answered: “Here, in the tent.” “And one of them said (the phrase “one of them” in the text of the Bible is highlighted, emphasizing that the Lord appeared in three persons):” I will again be with you at the same time, next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son. … Is there anything difficult for the Lord?” “And indeed, Abraham and Sarah had a son, Isaac, at the appointed time, from whom, as God promised Abraham, a great nation descended, and then it was in the offspring of Isaac that Jesus Christ was born.

The “Old Testament Trinity” depicts the appearance of the Holy Trinity to Abraham and Sarah at the oak of Mamre. And we see the oak itself behind the back of the central Angel.

Rublyov’s “Trinity” is called theology in colors. Because the finished pictorial form of the ingenious icon tells us in the language of the artistic image about the inseparability and inseparability of the Three Hypostases of the Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – about their consubstantiality. On the feast of the Trinity, believers remember that in this world the fullness of all the Three Hypostases of the Creator has appeared to us. And the main icon of the holiday in some incredible way opens for us, often theologically unenlightened people, the most difficult postulate – about the inseparability and at the same time non-merging of all the Three Persons of God.

But how does Andrei Rublev achieve this? Here is what academician Boris Raushenbakh, the creator of space satellite orientation systems and, at the same time, the author of the work “The Coming of the Holy Trinity”, a researcher of the ancient Russian icon, writes about this. “In the time before Rublev, all the icons of the Trinity were painted according to the type known as the “Hospitality of Abraham.” Not only the Trinity, but also Abraham and Sarah were depicted here, treating dear guests, sometimes the slaughter of a calf by a youngster. The Trinity in the form of three Angels existed even before Rublev, but the absence of Abraham and Sarah in them is explained quite simply: there was not enough space for their image . .. As soon as the size of the sacred image increased, Abraham and Sarah necessarily appeared in the field of view.

And further, Academician Raushenbakh draws an extremely important conclusion: “The appearance of Rublev’s Trinity in the 15th century was not the result of a gradual development, it was a leap, something explosive. With amazing courage, the artist completely excludes scenes of hospitality, cleans everything longer. of fellowship, but the Eucharist, which unites not into fellowship, but into the Church. Rublev succeeds in making it so that the one contemplating the icon sees the complete trinity dogma. In the pre-Rublev time, the icons, relatively speaking, had to have a commentator who would explain and supplement what was depicted, since their content from the point of view of the embodiment of the dogma was always incomplete. Here, for the first time, such a commentator turned out to be redundant.”

Let us remember Rauschenbach’s phrase that the appearance of Rublev’s “Trinity” was not the result of a gradual development, that it was a leap (an act of insight?), and we will draw the first conclusion. Rublev has nothing superfluous, everything works for him to elevate the icon from the image of a specific situation – the appearance of the Three Angels to Abraham and Sarah at the oak forest in Mamra to the artistic penetration into the Mystery. The mystery of the eternity of God. The mystery of the Trinity of God. The three sit at a table and have a silent conversation. Unity binds Them: They are three, but at the same time They are one. It is incomprehensible, but, at the same time, absolutely, true, unconditional.

Now let’s try to examine the icon. Let’s start with the most obvious observation: the three depicted Angels are exactly the same type. There are no visible differences between them – so we get the feeling that theologians have formulated as “the consubstantiality of the three Hypostases, the three Persons of God”, their inconsistency and inseparability.

And now let’s turn to the composition. She is extremely interesting. Look, the composition of the icon is built on the principle of a circle, and the thought of a person peering into the Trinity also moves in a circle, or rather, we seem to be unable to go beyond it. This circle unites the three Angels into the indivisible, into the Trinity.

“On a light (originally gold) background, three Angels are depicted sitting around a table on which a bowl stands. The middle Angel rises above the others, a tree is depicted behind him, behind the right Angel – a mountain, behind the left – chambers. The heads of the Angels are bowed in silent conversation. Their faces are similar – as if the same face is depicted in three versions. you can draw along the halos, along the outlines of the wings, along the movement of the angelic hands, and all these circles converge to the epicenter of the icon, where a bowl is depicted, and in the bowl is the head of a calf, a sign of sacrifice.0003

Before us is not just a meal, but a Eucharistic meal in which the atoning sacrifice is performed. The middle Angel blesses the cup, the one sitting at his right hand receives it, the Angel, located on the left hand of the middle one, seems to be moving this cup to the one opposite him. The main meaning of the image is transparent – in the bowels of the Holy Trinity there is a council on the redemption of mankind, “says art historian Irina Yazykova.

And here is what we read from the theologian Professor Leonid Uspensky: “If the tilt of the heads and figures of two Angels, directed towards the third, unites them together, then their hand gestures are directed towards the Eucharistic chalice with the head of a sacrificial animal standing on a white table, as if on a throne … it constricts the movements of the hands “. The sacrificial bowl – the semantic and compositional center of the icon – is one for all three Angels.

And here – be careful! – an amazing thing. Usually, on an icon, one of the figures necessarily looks at the one who is praying: for example, if the Divine Infant looks at the Mother of God, then Mary herself will look not at Her Son, but at us, the faithful, answering our prayerful gaze directed at Her. This is the principle of icon painting: the icon draws the worshiper into its space. Rublev violates this law. Why? For what?

All the Angels of Rublyov’s “Trinity” are turned to each other for a reason. Closedness of the circle of communication, when the Angels lean towards each other and towards the cup, when even their gazes form a circle… So the person standing in front of the icon is drawn into the icon, and his gaze involuntarily focuses on the cup – the cup of sacrifice. She is the center. She is the main thing. And to us, looking at the icon, another mystery of God is revealed – the mystery of the infinite Divine Love for us. After all, it is out of love for us, people, that God sends His Only Begotten Son into our world – a sacrifice that redeems humanity, a sacrifice that redeems humanity from the captivity of sin. Of course, in order to see such depths in the image of Rublev’s “Trinity”, you need at least a minimal knowledge of the figurative system of icon painting. But the next discovery can be made by anyone who is attentive to their feelings. Because everyone who at least once fixed his gaze on the “Trinity” involuntarily noted a feeling of peace, a feeling of touching eternity, the transcendent nature of the image. This is also no coincidence. This is an illustration of the fact that the three Persons of the Trinity always exist, an illustration of the thesis of eternity.

“But “always” is a category of time, and it is extremely difficult to convey time with the means available to the fine arts. Only indirect methods are possible here, writes Boris Raushenbakh. Rublev very subtly and successfully uses this opportunity. Turning to all the means available to him (composition, line, color), he creates a feeling of silence, peace and a stop of time. This is also facilitated by the fact that the Angels are conducting a silent conversation. After all, ordinary conversation requires utterance words, it takes time, and if Rublev depicted such a conversation, time would enter into an icon. In a silent conversation, images and emotions are exchanged, not words. After all, emotions can arise instantly and last as long as you like.0003

No wonder such concepts as “love at first sight” or “eternal love” appeared. Similarly, images: a person is able to immediately imagine a beautiful landscape. If you try to convey love or a landscape in words, then time will be necessary for this, and it is impossible to adequately convey such subtle feelings as love in words. The image and emotions will always be richer and brighter than words in this sense. As a result of the totality of the means used by Rublev, it seems that the three Angels have been sitting and talking for an infinitely long time and will continue to sit here just as long. They are outside the bustling and hurrying world of people – they are in eternity. But in eternity, time does not flow, it is entirely in it. What is in eternity really becomes perpetual, always existing,” the academician sums up.

Of course, it is not enough just to look at an icon – with the eyes of an idle lover of painting, with the eyes of an art critic. Only prayerful anticipation can bring us closer to this great mystery, which once, by God’s grace, was revealed to the holy icon painter Andrei Rublev.

The true meaning of the Day of the Holy Trinity is greatly distorted in the mass understanding, as well as other Orthodox holidays. Over the years, many superstitions and traditions have appeared that not only have nothing to do with the Church Charter, but also defame the Orthodox faith. Priest Alexander Yermolin , head of the Missionary Department of the Kazan Diocese, told Tatar-inform how to properly celebrate the Day of the Holy Trinity.

“The understanding of the Day of the Holy Trinity is greatly distorted in the mass understanding. If we ask the average person what holidays he knows in Orthodoxy, he will name Christmas, Easter and Trinity. That is, this holiday is quite popular,” says father Alexander.

The Feast of the Holy Trinity is 50 days away from Easter and is therefore also called Pentecost. It always falls on a Sunday.

“The Trinity parental Saturday precedes this day. Prayer is the only thing the dead really need. “Some sources say that these days the pagans also had some parental days. I doubt it very much, because the Trinity is celebrated every year on different days,” he said.

Many, as it turns out, are convinced that suicides are commemorated on this day. This categorically cannot be done, the clergyman warns.

“I always ask church staff to ask if parishioners write names of suicides on a note. You need to understand that we do not commemorate suicides at all. Because they themselves have already decided their existence, they have committed a sin that they cannot repent of, because death occurred at the moment of its commission. There is a rite of consolation for relatives, but this is not a funeral service. The Church gives all this to the judgment of God. We pray that the Lord will accept the person, but in this situation we do not pray, because the person himself decided so. The Lord, in his mercy, can forgive and have mercy, but there is a church rule. Just as the funeral service is not a pass to the Kingdom of Heaven, so the Church does not pray for suicides,” says the rector.

Father Alexander believes that such a delusion appeared because of the prayers that are read in the Trinity Parents’ Room. They commemorate the dead under various circumstances: “beat with a stone, drown in the sea.” Somehow, people very delicately attributed suicides to it.

And such a divine service is held once a year,” Father Alexander said.

The holiday itself is dedicated to the mystery of the Holy Trinity. Mystery – because our human mind cannot comprehend this, says the priest.

“The existence of the Holy Trinity is something that so fundamentally transcends our consciousness that we can only accept it out of love,” said the clergyman.

It so happened that a lot of completely non-Orthodox things turned out to be connected with the Day of the Holy Trinity, the rector complains.

“What is very important, the Trinity is not a holiday of birches, it is the birthday of the Church. Our Church has an unequivocal clear date of birth – on the Trinity, the 33rd year from the Nativity of Christ, the Lord sends the Holy Spirit, and thus the Christian Church is founded. The apostles receive the gift of speaking in different languages ​​and set out to preach the gospel. That is, the Lord has done everything for us, we do not need anything else, the full cycle is completed. It is believed that we are richer than all the righteous of the Old Testament, because we have the Church. They lived according to the rules of the Old Testament, which was many times more difficult, he noted.

“Very often we judge the Day of the Holy Trinity by some external things. Here is the greenery. By the way, this question is very difficult. We usually get very simple answers to the most difficult questions. We say that the temple is decorated with greenery, mind you – not with birch trees, greenery. In southern countries, for example, what kind of birches can there be? Greenery is a symbol of the life-giving grace of the Holy Spirit, it is a symbol of life. There are many superstitions about Trinity weed. They just don’t do anything with it: they brew it, store it in order to put it in a coffin for the dead. But it’s still not so sad, the saddest thing is when the really pagan things start: wreaths, mermaids, jumping over fires. Here is just a small list of what people sincerely believe in:

• if a guy kisses a girl under a birch tree, the girl will be his wife;
• that day they listened to the cuckoo: how many times it cuckoos, how many days the girl has yet to spend in her father’s house;
• if you wash yourself with morning dew, you will keep freshness and beauty for a long time.

Start your child care search sooner than you think you need to. It takes a considerable amount of time to research your options, make comparisons, and visit potential providers.

Once your child is enrolled with the provider of your choice, remember to be available to communicate with staff about your child on a regular basis. How to Start a Daycare in Georgia

Opening a childcare center in Georgia requires you to follow strict guidelines set by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. Whether you want to start a home-based or center-based program, it’s important to plan accordingly and understand all the licensing regulations. Read on to learn more about childcare licensing requirements and how to start a daycare in Georgia.

Do I need a childcare license in Georgia?

To start a daycare center in Georgia, you must hold a valid license.  

There are two license options available depending on the type of center you plan to open. 

Family Child Care Learning Home

A Family Child Care Learning Home (FCCLH), operates from a private residence. With this type of license, you may care for three to six children under 18 for less than 24 hours per day. 

Child Care Learning Center

A Child Care Learning Center (CCLC) license applies to your center if you provide care for seven or more children under 18 for less than 24 hours per day. You must operate out of a facility that’s not a private residence.  

Georgia requires you to carry a license to ensure your services are appropriate and in the best interest of the children in your care. This includes your facilities, activities, and overall program. Licensure also ensures families know which daycare centers are best for their children. 

Before you start writing your business plan, marketing your center, or choosing a name, you’ll need to determine the type of childcare facility you’ll open and examine specific licensing requirements.

Childcare licensing requirements in Georgia

To obtain your childcare license in Georgia, you must meet several requirements.

Family Child Care Learning Home provider licensing requirements

To become a licensed Family Child Care Learning Home provider in Georgia, you must:

• Be 21 years of age
• Meet Georgia’s minimum educational requirements for providers by obtaining one or more of these approved childcare credentials:
  • A Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education
  • A Technical College Diploma (TCD) in Early Childhood Education
  • An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • An up-to-date Child Development Associate (CDA) professional designation from the Council for Professional Recognition
  • Paraprofessional Certificate from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
• Attend a Licensure Orientation Meeting (LOM)
• Obtain 10 hours of pre-service training: 
  • Early Learning Standards (2 hours)
  • Communications (2 hours)
  • Leadership & Professional Development (2 hours)
  • Business Management (2 hours)
  • Advocacy for Parents & Children (2 hours)
• Secure CPR & First Aid certifications
• Complete the Criminal Record Acknowledgement Form
• Get a fingerprint criminal record check for all adults over 17 residing in the home and other adults providing care
• Submit a copy of your business license or a letter stating no business license is required
• Submit a copy of your zoning approval letter or letter stating no zoning is required

Child Care Learning Center licensing requirements

If you’re opening a Child Care Learning Center, you must meet all of the same requirements to open a FCCLH, along with the following:

• The director must complete a 40-hour director training course approved by the Department
• Meet staff-to-child ratios as follows:
  • 1 adult for every 6 children (birth to 18 months old – not walking)
  • 1 adult for every 8 children (1-year-old – walking)
  • 1 adult for every 10 children (2 years old)
  • 1 adult for every 15 children (3 years old)
  • 1 adult for every 18 children (4 years old)
  • 1 adult for every 20 children (5 years old)
  • 1 adult for every 25 children (6 years old)
• Meet capacity requirements as outlined in the applicant’s guide to licensing

Childcare license application in Georgia

There’s a detailed application process to secure your FCCLH or CCCL childcare license.  

Family Child Care Learning Home license application process

Step 1: Become familiar with the application process 

You can print the application from the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) website. 

Step 2: Attend a licensing orientation meeting (LOM)

There is a free, mandatory six-hour meeting to secure your license. You can attend online in a webinar format or in-person, depending on what’s available. The orientation teaches you how to manage your business and ensures your facility complies with state laws. You can register to attend here. 

Step 3: Complete certifications and courses

You’ll need CPR and First Aid certifications and 10 hours of online training courses. During these courses, you’ll learn about business management, leadership, communication, professional development, early learning standards, and advocacy for your children and families.

Step 4: Learn Georgia childcare laws

To operate a childcare facility in Georgia, you must know the laws for FCCLHs. When your facility is open, an inspection can occur at any time. You’re expected to be compliant with all rules at all times. 

Step 5: Submit your application

Once you’re ready to submit your application, it should include the following:

• A signed and completed FCCLH licensing application
• Documentation or evidence of having completed the education requirements described above
• A criminal record check acknowledgement form
• A signed and notarized affidavit indicating your lawful presence in the United States
• Documentation of having completed the required pre-service training
• A completed copy of the FCCLH rules and regulations checklist provided with the licensing application package
• A copy of a zoning approval letter from the appropriate jurisdiction permitting the home to be licensed as an FCCLH
• A copy of your business license or a letter stating that you don’t require a business license for your childcare operation
• Proof of ownership of the residence, or a copy of your lease/rental agreement indicating that you’re allowed to operate a childcare business
• A copy of your water/sewage bill that identifies the water source for your home. If your home uses a septic tank, you’ll need a local county health department letter indicating approval for your childcare business
• A readable floor plan of your residence
• A copy of a fire inspection for your home and certificate of occupancy, if applicable

Step 6: Complete your inspection visit

Once you submit your application and it meets all requirements, it’s time for your site visit. A DECAL consultant will ensure your home complies with Georgia state laws. They’ll also want to review your qualifications and those employed by the childcare center.

Step 7: Receive your FCCLH license and pay fees

After you complete the application successfully, you’ll receive your FCCLH license from Georgia. At this time, you must pay your $50 non-refundable license fee. Your license will remain valid for one year.

Child Care Learning Center license application process

Step 1: Become familiar with the application process 

While the application process for a CCLC license is similar to that for the FCCLH license, there are different requirements. You can also print the application from the DECAL website.

Step 2: Attend the CCLC licensure orientation meeting 

The first part of the application process is to complete your Child Care Learning Center licensure orientation meeting. You’ll register through the Georgia Professional Development System for Early Childhood Educators (GaPDS).

Step 3: Complete the director training course  

Next, you’ll begin your 40-hour director training course that’s required to be a director by the state of Georgia. This is a $200 program that’s available online and in-person. You’ll cover various topics including fiscal management, licensing regulations, curriculum and child development, family engagement, and marketing. You can work on this course as you complete the other items to receive your license. 

Step 4: Prepare your facility for compliance 

You must determine which state and local agencies have jurisdiction over your facility. The fire, zoning, building, and health agencies will determine whether your facilities comply with Georgia state laws.

Step 5: Submit application part A 

The first part of your application requires you to provide these items:

• Floor plan
• Site plan
• Operations plan
• Zoning letter
• Certificate of completion from your licensure orientation meeting
• Proof of property ownership or a lease
• LLC information, if applicable
• Any other items included in the checklist for your application

Step 6: Submit application part B 

Once the first part of your application is approved, it’s time to submit part B. You’ll need to submit these items:

• Results of criminal record checks for all staff members
• Proof of the director’s credentials or education
• Map directions to the facility
• Certificate of completion for the 40-hour director’s training course
• Confirmation of public sewage and water or a letter from the local health department stating there’s safe drinking water and/or the approval for septic tank usage at the center
• Completed vehicle inspection form for any vehicles used to transport children
• A completed copy of the Initial Licensing Study Staff Profile form for staff members
• Certificate of occupancy/approval from state/local agencies for building and fire

Step 7: Complete the onsite inspection 

Once your application part B has been reviewed, an Applicant Services Unit (ASU) consultant will complete their onsite inspection to ensure your facility meets Georgia childcare laws.  

Step 8: Pay licensing fees 

If your onsite inspection is successful, you’ll receive your permission to operate. Next, you’ll need to pay your annual licensing fee ranging from $50-$250, depending on how many children are at your facility, within 30 days of receiving your license. Once you’ve paid the fees, you’ll receive the CCLC license for the state of Georgia.

After you’ve completed all the steps to obtain the appropriate childcare license, you can move onto the next phase of operating your business. How to stay compliant with a daycare license in Georgia

Once you receive your childcare license in Georgia, you must remain compliant to keep it. Here are some details to keep in mind. 

• License term: Whether you have an FCCL or CCL, it’s valid for 12 months before renewal.  
• Ongoing training: All staff members must obtain 10 hours of training related to the care of children annually. These trainings can cover child development, early childhood education, or related topics. 
• License fee: You must pay your license fee annually, ranging from $50-$250. 
• Annual inspections: A state inspector will visit your daycare center annually to ensure it complies with all rules and regulations.

A kindergarten for 300 children has been put into operation as part of the Buninskiye Luga residential complex in the TiNAO, the press service of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Committee (Mosgosstroynadzor) reported.

“A permit was issued for the commissioning of a kindergarten as part of the Buninskiye Luga residential complex. The preschool institution was assigned a postal address: settlement Sosenskoye, pos. Kommunarka, st. Alexandra Monakhova, 80, building 4 (TiNAO). The new kindergarten has become the fourth pre-school facility built on the territory of a large-scale residential area. It is designed for 12 groups of pupils of junior, middle, senior and preparatory ages. The total area of ​​the three-story building is 4.7 thousand square meters. Harriet Tubman Charter School serves 1100 students in grades PreK-8 on two campuses in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans. Our newly-renovated 11-acre Montessori campus for our PreK-2nd grade scholars allows students to play and learn outside everyday. This campus also houses our Aurora program for students who need an alternative setting. Our older scholars spend their day at the historic Harriet Tubman school building on General Meyer Avenue, which was fully renovated in 2018.

Some fun facts kids can learn about Harriet Tubman include the fact that she escaped from slavery in 1849. She returned to the South many times to help family members and other slaves escape to freedom. Through her efforts, she became known as the “conductor” of the Underground Railroad.

Harriet Tubman, born in 1820, worked as a spy for the Union Army and led a raid on the Combahee River that resulted in the freedom of 700 South Carolina slaves.

Despite his fame, Tubman never found financial freedom. Friends and fans helped her raise money throughout her subsequent years. Proceeds from the biography Scenes from the Life of Harriet Tubman, written by Sarah H. Bradford, went directly to Tubman.

Celebrate Black History Month: “Steal, steal, steal, steal to Jesus”

I finally broke down and watched Harriet last night. I won’t go into details why it took me so long to watch this, it’s… difficult, but it happened last night. While I was watching the film, I was very touched by the musical choice I made. I appreciated that they tried to keep the essence of slave music and used lyrics written by Harriet Tubman herself in key scenes of the movie, like when she first ran away. I don’t know if I can explain the feeling that some of us with a slave background feel when we hear this kind of music. It’s like a deep-sleeping, wary animal waking up somewhere inside. As if in this moment you feel every second of oppression, but at the same time hope and dream of a better future.

Spiritual songs are believed to be the first type of music native to the American soil and, like Soul Food, these songs have been passed down from generation to generation and their legacy was based on other black Americans and influenced other musical genres such as jazz. Many of these songs have a very sad tone and are often used in funeral rites. When my mother passed away, she said she wanted one of these traditional songs to be sung at her funeral, and we granted that wish. Like many Negro spirituals, this song was meant to be a coded song to warn others that someone is trying to escape north. As you sing, you may hear the singer beg others to be quiet so they can hear.
