+ Step 1: Start Your Child Care Search Early

Start your child care search sooner than you think you need to. It takes a considerable amount of time to research your options, make comparisons, and visit potential providers.

+ Step 2: Make the Calls

Call 1-877-ALL-GA-KIDS (1-877-255-4254) to get a list of providers that match your specific needs. Our child care search experts can help you identify possible providers based on the location of your work or home, budget, and more. Create your own list of possible providers by performing a child care search online at www.qualityrated.org. After you have created a list of possible providers, call each one to check details such as availability, hours, fees, etc.

+ Step 3: Download our Child Care Check List

Before visiting possible child care providers download the child care checklist and observe the quality indicators included on the list.

+ Step 4: Visit, Ask, & observe

Visiting each location gives you an opportunity to make important observations and ask questions. Possible question might include:
How many children are with each adult? See the child care checklist for ratios.

  • What are the training and education requirements for staff?
  • Are general emergency procedures in place in the event of inclement weather? If so, what are they?
  • How many staff has been employed with the provider?
  • What is the policy for sick children and emergencies?
  • What are the policies for field trips and transportation?
  • Is the provider nationally accredited? See Checklist for examples
  • Is the provider Quality Rated? If not, why? Click here to learn more about Quality Rated.

+ Step 5: Make Your Choice

Review all of the information you have collected from your child care search, evaluate your choices and make the selection best for your family.

+ After Enrollment

Once your child is enrolled with the provider of your choice, remember to be available to communicate with staff about your child on a regular basis. Make time to visit your child while they are in their learning environment or ask about other volunteer opportunities. Your child is more opt to be engaged in learning when they see that you have taken an interest in their education. Also, have daily conversations with your child about their experiences. No matter how old (or young) your child is, children benefit most when their primary caregiver takes a positive interest in them.

Donald Trump Brashly Delivers His First Speech Since He Was Federally Indicted. The former president, facing 37 U.S. charges related to possession of classified documents, speaks at Republican conventions in Georgia and North Carolina.

Trump made his first public address since the federal indictment was announced this week in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday.

According to The Guardian, the former U.S. president took the stage at the Republican state conventions in Georgia and North Carolina, where he lashed out at the Justice Department, the FBI and the Biden administration, called his recent indictment a “travesty of justice” and repeated statements about that Joe Biden himself hid secret documents in the Chinatown area of Washington, DC.

“We have to stand up to… the radical left Democrats, their lawless partisan prosecutors… Every time I fly over the blue state, I get a subpoena,” Trump said at the beginning of a speech in which he tried to overcome his legal problems with campaign promises.

“I put everything on the line and I will never give up. I will never be detained. I will never stop fighting for you,” he added.

Trump went on to tirade federal officials, stating, “Now the Marxist Left is again using the same corrupt Justice Department and the same corrupt FBI and the Attorney General and local DAs to interfere… They are cheating. They are crooked. They are corrupt. These criminals cannot be rewarded. They must be defeated. You must defeat them. Because in the end they won’t come for me. They’re coming after you and I’m just standing in their way.”

Trump accused the Biden administration of using the Justice Department as a weapon, calling the recent indictment “ridiculous and baseless” and “one of the most appalling abuses of power in our nation’s history.”

The ex-president went on to add that “the only good thing about [the indictment] is that it really boosted my poll numbers.”

Trump repeated his attacks on his former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, who was investigated by the State Department for several years for her use of personal email before finding “conclusive evidence. .. of deliberate mishandling of classified documents.”

The former US president also lashed out at Joe Biden over secret documents from his time as vice president and senator that were found in his Washington office and his home in Delaware.

“With all this nothing happened to Crooked Joe … He has so many secret documents … This is a sick nest of people that needs to be cleaned out immediately,” Trump said as the Georgia crowd cheered.

Trump also mentioned his former vice president-turned-presidential opponent Mike Pence, who was also found to have tagged documents in his Indiana home.

“They looked at Mike Pence. He had secret documents, no problem,” Trump said.

At the time, The Guardian notes, as Biden and Pence handed over the marked documents as soon as they were discovered and allowed their lawyers to inspect their property, Trump was accused of deliberately hiding boxes of records from his lawyer, the FBI and a grand jury. , according to the latest indictment.

On a plane flying to North Carolina after his speech in Georgia, Trump told Politico that he would not withdraw from the presidential race even if he was convicted on the latest charges. “I will never leave,” he said.

When asked if he would forgive himself if he became president again, he said, “I don’t think I’ll ever have to do that… I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Pence also appeared at the North Carolina event, marking the first time he’s had a joint event with his former boss since the ex-VP announced his own campaign. He denounced the “politicization” of the Justice Department and called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to “stop hiding behind the Special Counsel and face the American people” to explain the grounds for a federal investigation into Trump.

In an interview with The Associated Press after his speech, Pence said he had read the indictment but repeatedly refused to share his personal reaction to its content or criticize Trump.

“The very nature of a grand jury is that no defense is presented,” Pence said. “That’s why I said today that I’m going to call for patience, call on people to pray for the former president, but also for all those in power and for the future of the country.”

In North Carolina, Florida Gov. and Trump rival Ron DeSantis did not mention Trump by name, but compared his situation to that of Hillary Clinton.

“Are there different standards for a Democratic Secretary of State compared to a former Republican President? DeSantis said. – I think that in this country there should be a single standard of justice..”.

Trump said Saturday night that he would support Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson in the race for governor of North Carolina. Trump said he would save his formal endorsement for another time, but told Robinson from the stage, “You can count on that, Mark.” He called Robinson “one of the great stars of the party, one of the great stars of politics.”

Robinson gained a reputation as an outspoken social conservative when he told a church in 2021, “There is no reason anyone anywhere in America should be teaching any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, any other such abomination.

Trump’s two speeches were scheduled before the Justice Department filed 37 criminal charges against him on Thursday night for his alleged illegal possession of classified government documents after leaving office in 2021.

The sweeping indictment, released Friday, accuses Trump of mishandling classified documents as well as obstruction of justice, making him the first US president to be federally charged.

Trump is expected to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday and could face jail time if found guilty.
