We do have 3 different shows for age groups. The children attending your event will see magic that is appropriate for their age. We basically call our show a “Comedy-Magic Show for Kids”! All of the shows include funny stuff but also some of Louis’ favorite friends which may include a chicken, dog, rabbit, a circus flea, and sometimes a skunk! (OK, none of those area actually real but the kids think they are!)
The biggest compliment we get at the end of the show is that parents are stunned that the kids sat entranced for the 45 minutes! The show includes a ton of audience participation so that the kids are actually part of the show. During birthday parties the birthday child is highlighted as a helper in a couple magic tricks even winning a fun prize during the show!

Full time magician, Louis the Magician has entertained the DC Metro area for over 12 years. Magic started as a hobby as a boy and has now grown into a professional business. His goal is to bring a style of magic for children that is contemporary and fun for all ages.
Louis has won Nickelodeon’s award for Best Party Entertainer in the Washington DC area. In addition, Louis produces and runs the country’s largest convention for children’s entertainers called Kapital Kidvention. He is also asked to speak at other conventions around the country to teach other entertainers how to entertain children. Because Louis performs over 500 shows yearly, children around the DC area recognize him everywhere he goes.
With all of this experience he is to read children as he performs. He can sense their emotions from a glance. Louis feels it is important to know when a child is nervous (about being an assistant) and when restlessness is setting in. Foreword
Many years ago, a young mother came into my office.
Her name was Sarah, and she raised three children alone. At that time she was thirty-three years old. When Sarah sat down and I had a chance to look at her, I thought: this woman looks like she was just run over by a truck.
When I asked Sarah what brought her to me, she replied:
– Dr. Phelan, I don’t feel like getting out of bed in the morning. It’s horrible. I just lie there with my head covered and cowering in fear.
– Why don’t you want to get up?
– The thought of having to wake up my three children and get them ready for school horrifies me. It’s just a nightmare! They reject any negotiations, fight, pretend not to see me. I scream and scream and grumble. And all this makes me so upset that the whole day goes down the drain. I can’t concentrate on work and I’m constantly depressed. And the next morning it starts all over again.
I asked Sarah a series of questions and briefly got acquainted with her life story. Then he asked if she wanted to try 1-2-3 Magic.
– I’ll do anything! Sara exclaimed.
And I taught her 1-2-3 Magic.
Sarah returned home and began to talk to children in a new way. They giggled and looked at her like she was crazy.
But within a few weeks, Sarah’s three children believed her. She used counting when there was rivalry and disrespect between siblings. Used tactics start-behavior to get children to pack their things, do their homework and, most importantly, to get up in the morning and leave the house for school. Sarah also learned to listen kindly and communicate with each of the children one on one – to strengthen relationships.
Sarah was a tough tin soldier. She made a revolution in her house, and we met less and less, because she no longer needed my help in such a volume.
Sometime in early January, Sarah came to see me for the last time. Now she didn’t look like she’d been run over by a garbage truck. Sarah sat down in a chair and I asked her how she was doing.
– Excellent! Really great.
“Sounds inspiring,” I remarked. “Although you have just spent two weeks of Christmas holidays with your children.
– Yes, and everything was fine. I have come a long way. She hesitated. – Do you know what? I didn’t realize how much things had changed until the kids got back to school after the holidays.
– What do you mean?
Sarah was silent again, tears glistening in her eyes.
– I miss them, for the first time in my life.

For Best Results
1-2-3 Magic provides simple, easy-to-understand methods for correcting the behavior of children from approximately two to twelve years of age. These methods are suitable for all children – both normal and developmentally delayed. You can use “Magic for 1-2-3” from the age of eighteen months, if the child develops without deviations.
For best results, there are a few things to keep in mind.
1. All methods should be used exactly as described here. This is especially important for rule “No talk, no emotions” .
2. When both mom and dad live with their children, ideally both adults should participate in the program. But if one of the parents refuses “Magic for 1-2-3”, the second one can still use it independently (provided, of course, that the partner treats the children reasonably).
3. Single parents who live apart can also use this method effectively.
It is preferable that both parents use the program, but this is not always possible. In fact, single moms and dads benefit greatly from a system as simple and effective as 1-2-3 Magic. Raising kids alone can be stressful, but it doesn’t take long to implement a discipline program.
4. Grandparents, nannies and other people who are raising young children have also found the 1-2-3 Magic program very helpful. There were times when grandparents discovered “Magic for 1-2-3” for themselves and told their children about it. In addition, lately I have been hearing more and more often that grandparents are raising their grandchildren themselves and consider the “Magic for 1-2-3” program to be a lifesaver.
5. Make sure your children are physically healthy. After all, diseases, allergies and physical pain exacerbate the problems of children – both in the emotional sphere and in behavior. It is extremely important to regularly examine the child with a doctor. It is also important to know and follow the natural daily routine of the child, which relates to meals, hygiene procedures and sleep patterns.
A child who has not had enough sleep, or is hungry, or wants to go to the toilet, can create serious problems for parents.
Need for professional advice
Parents sometimes ask: at what point in the application of the “Magic for 1-2-3” program should I consult a mental health specialist?
It is recommended to undergo a psychological examination and seek specialist advice before using 1-2-3 Magic if the child has a history of physical abuse, or severe self-harm, or excessive fear of separation. It can be difficult to deal with such children in the initial period, when they are just getting used to the new rules of discipline.
If your family is already working with a psychologist , discuss the use of “Magic for 1-2-3” with him in advance. If the psychologist is not familiar with this program, share the book with him.
It is recommended to sign up for a psychological examination and consultation with a specialist after the application of “Magic for 1-2-3”, in the following cases:
1.
If unstable relations between spouses or conflicts prevent effective application of the method. 1-2-3 Magic is usually good at helping mom and dad get on the same side in parenting. Sometimes just a few consultations will help find the right course.
2. If one or both parents are unable to comply with the No Talk, No Emotion rule (see Chapter 4). Stress, anxiety and depression sometimes do not allow parents to calm down enough to effectively use “Magic for 1-2-3”. If parents use alcohol and drugs, they can behave aggressively, and all parenting methods will be ineffective.
3. If a child behaves very badly, manipulates and “tests” parents even three weeks after the start of the program. If you had a hard time dealing with a small child before using 1-2-3 Magic, it’s better now, but there are still many problems.
4. Trust your instincts. Here’s a great, tried-and-true rule: if you have a particular problem with your child and it’s been going on for more than six months that’s too long.
Talk to a mental health professional or pediatrician to find out what’s wrong. If there really is a problem, try to fix it or learn how to deal with it. If everything is in order, stop worrying.
In young children, psychological and behavioral problems often manifest as:
• they find it difficult to concentrate and sit still;
• they lag behind in the development of speech, avoid interaction and communication, their interests are limited;
• they behave in an unacceptable, hostile or defiant manner;
• they have excessive anxiety or severe fear of separation;
• lost interest in entertainment and became irritable;
• children show physical or verbal aggression;
• they cannot or refuse to comply with the rules and regulations appropriate for their age;
• they have unexpected problems with their studies.

Meet the 1-2-3 Magic
Raising children is one of the most important things in the world, and it can be the most joyful activity in life, incomparable with other areas. Young children are charming, cute, gentle, curious, funny and full of energy. For many adults, raising children is extremely beneficial.
Still, being a mother or father can be incredibly frustrating. When the cookie scene is repeated for the thousandth time, it’s hard not to despair. And then often swearing and spanking are used. This is a bad way of survival for everyone – both for children and adults.
The How to Raise Me guide is not included with a newborn baby. That is why there is a program “Magic for 1-2-3”! The program is already used by millions of parents around the world, including singles and divorcees, as well as teachers, grandparents, kindergarten and summer camp teachers, nannies, hospital nurses and other people who are somehow connected with raising children. And they all have one goal – to raise a happy and healthy child.
1-2-3 Magic is taught and recommended by thousands of mental health professionals and pediatricians. It’s talked about at parent-teacher conferences (sometimes parents recommend 1-2-3 Magic for Teachers to teachers, and other times teachers introduce 1-2-3 Magic to parents!).
Why such interest? As one mom said, “1-2-3 Magic is easy to learn and I got results. I enjoy being with children again and have become the mother I always wanted to be.” More than twenty-five years have passed since the launch of this program, and today we hear from parents: “My children were good children and they grew up to be wonderful adults. What to expect in the beginning
Once you start using “Magic for 1-2-3”, your relationship with your children will quickly change. But I have two news for you – good and bad. Good: about half of the children immediately begin to cooperate. You implement the 1-2-3 Magic methods and the kids immediately support you – sometimes just in a “magical” way. What should you do? Just relax and enjoy your luck!
But here’s the bad news: the other half of the children immediately start a confrontation.
We need this information so that we can make a decision on the child’s claim. In some cases, if the child is over age 12, he or she must sign his or her own medical release.
