Kauffman – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy opens at SKOLKOVO Business School

Tuesday, 05 March 2013

Moscow, March 5, 2013. – Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and Kauffman Fellows Academy announce the launch of a new Kauffman educational program – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy. For the first time, Kauffman will present his unique course outside of Silicon Valley.

This innovative 10-week Executive Education program is designed specifically for current and future venture capitalists in the country. The maximum task that the creators of the course set for themselves is to form a “smart money” segment in Russia, which would include strong venture funds, business angels and private investors.

During the competitive selection process, 20-30 candidates will be admitted to the program. The training structure assumes an integrated approach, which will include online lectures, seminars by world-renowned teachers and experts, and project work – the creation of independent funds or the development of existing ones.

Alumni of the program will be able to join a first-class community of partners, entrepreneurs and others in the industry as Kauffman International Members.

As part of the course, Kauffman – SKOLKOVO Venture Capital Academy students also have the opportunity to attend lectures and master classes at the SKOLKOVO Startup Academy, a program aimed at entrepreneurs working on their own startups.

“We are honored that the Kauffman Fellows Academy among all countries in the world has chosen Russia as a platform for launching a new program,” comments Vladimir Preobrazhensky, Director of Research at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. “For the SKOLKOVO Business School, the addition of this program to the product line means that we continue our tradition of offering innovative educational courses.”

“The funds, and the companies they invest in, can no longer afford to be left out,” said Clint Korver, CEO of the Kauffman Fellows Academy. – Today, globalization covers all areas of activity, including talent, capital, markets and technologies. We hope that Russia will become an interesting “laboratory” for this innovative educational experiment.”

“We see great potential in Russia for developing business ideas and making smart investments,” says Val Jerdes, Partner at Innov8 Global Ventures. “Venture capitalists can’t sit around ad infinitum waiting for quality investment opportunities to hit the market, and entrepreneurs can’t mourn the lack of investment. They must develop together. We strive not only to provide knowledge that is useful for working in an innovative economy, but also to show instant results.”

The start of the program is scheduled for April 11, 2013, applications for admission are accepted from March 4 to April 4. Read more: http://www.skolkovo.ru/public/ru/vca/vca-about/

Premiere Pro and macOS Ventura

After updating macOS 13 Ventura, are you experiencing issues with Adobe Premiere Pro? Learn more about a few common problems, their fixes, and workarounds.

Adobe Premiere Pro versions compatible with macOS Ventura

The compatibility of Adobe Premiere Pro with macOS Ventura is summarized below:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro 23. X is compatible with macOS Ventura (version 13) with these known issues.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro 22.X and earlier have not been tested for compatibility with macOS Ventura (version 13)

Ventura known issues

The following known issues are specific to macOS Ventura.

Important! Until these issues have been resolved, you may want to remain on your current macOS version, or test in a non-production partition to ensure all your software and hardware is compatible.

If you do encounter issues not already documented here, feel free to report them to our support community .

Workaround

No Font sync happens when a project is opened. The Text Layer uses a default Font (Looks like Helvetica® in the Comp Viewer), and in the Character panel. You will see the Font it needs in brackets like this: (Permanent Marker).

Open the Creative Cloud desktop app to make sure it’s running. Then go back to Adobe Premiere Pro and wait for some time to let your fonts sync.

The Save, Save As, and Open windows close automatically when you press Home, End, Delete, Page Up/Page Down, or any arrow keys.

Avoid pressing any of the mentioned keys when saving a project.

Are legacy/perpetual versions of Adobe Premiere Pro compatible with macOS Ventura?

No, legacy/perpetual versions of Adobe Premiere Pro were not designed or tested to work on macOS 13.
