Description:

When you walk through the front door at this unique and innovative preschool you never know quite what to expect! You may find The Evergreens the oldest students (3-5 years old) engrossed in writing their ownbooks about the caterpillar they found in their Outdoor classroom, totally focused on an organic cooking project or up to their elbows in paint as they work together to create their representation of Van Gogh’s starry night as part of their project learning and the younger students- The Sprouts and Seedlings happily playing and exploring to their hearts content in tubs of water on the sensory deck as part of their project on water.
That s because this is a Reggio-inspired school where the children and teachers work together on an emergent curriculum based upon the children s interest. We believe that our children are strong and capable learners, who have a deep curiosity for the world around them and what they want to learn about. As educators we would do them a huge disservice and squash their natural desire to learn by presenting them with themes and lesson plans that may coincide with what society think they should be learning about or the month of the year but are of no real interest to them. Instead we carefully observe what our students are interested in and then plan projects and learning activities around that interest to encourage optimum learning and interest
An Apple a Day Academy takes a holistic approach to education and seeks to nurture each child s potential to build a strong foundation for their future as well as the future of our world. We promote a message of positive world consciousness and modern learning. A strong focus on social development and building healthy relationships with each other and our world are emphasized. Every child is given the opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace and valued as a unique and important member of our school community.
Christina Miller, owner and operator of An Apple a Day Academy has put a big emphasis in providing each and every student with an environment that is truly organic and toxic free. Our preschool is also a certified Healthy Green school. We take extra care in providing a healthy toxic free environment by using natural products, providing natural materials and certified lead free toys and manipulatives. Our program provides organic…

Not a safe place

Reviewed by: Jumpin Fun Inflata Park

My son got hit several times on the Air Rider because it had an exposed metal part not covered by the red soft mat. I wrote about this problem to the owner Mark, but he didn’t seem to care. Mark was rude and doesn’t seem to care if your child gets into an accident. NO SECURITY! The staff is young and not so concerned about your child’s safety. If your child has been in an accident, please email me. I have seen children stumble upon this metal piece several times, but the problem is that their parents were not around and did not see this because they believed the park workers. But you can’t, because the employees didn’t pay too close attention to security. I wrote about my problem to Mark, this owner, and he called it harassment. That’s all you need to know about this park. Avoid it.…

Beat the Heat with Fun Inflata

Review of: Jumpin0003

This is a good break from the summer heat. We researched this and found out that on Sundays from 9:00 to 11:00 they had time for toddlers/preschoolers and we planned to visit them. Our 3 year old loves to jump and run. The area was quite large. There were big slides on one side and there were also rock climbing spots. One room was dedicated to throwing soft nerfs like balls and had soft poles to crash into. Most of the children seemed to fit the age limit, but it seemed that some older siblings may have also been let in during the preschool years. It wasn’t enough to be a problem, but just something to be aware of. Lots of options for preschoolers and our little one loved it and can’t wait to come back. If this is your first time plan to fill the wiavers. If you are bringing a toddler, plan to take him to the jump zone. The price was very reasonable and worth it on a hot summer day. As others have said, the staff seem completely aloof and bored when interacting with customers. No smiles, minimal eye contact, no offers of information or questions if you have any questions. This, combined with several older children present at scheduled toddler times, made it impossible to get an A.…

Not fun to jump, more like fight club junior

Review for: Jumpin Fun Inflata Park

I have been taking my grandchildren to this park since it opened. We bought a summer pass and happily went this morning. I was extremely disappointed with what happened and how it was handled! Two children about 7 and 12 years old beat each other to such an extent that one child hit another child and gave the other child a nosebleed, two employees separated them, but the two children continued to follow each other, I went to ask if they needed help, and one of the employees politely declined and said that everything is in order, they are brothers: “No, it’s not okay.” everything calmed down for a moment, and the young manager girl came out to talk to them. she allowed 2 children to immediately return to the jump zone with all the other children, after which 2 children started yelling obscenities at each other! At that moment, I went to ask the manager, but she again was going to deal with two children, who ended up being HER children. She let them go with all the other kids again! At that moment, I no longer felt that this was a safe place for my grandchildren to play. What if it was one of my grandchildren or one of your children who got hit? I left, as did 2 other people with children. I asked to speak to another manager, but the woman with the angry kids was there alone and didn’t care about the safety of any of the kids, not even her own! Super disappointed…

Inexpensive Family Fun

Review of: Jumpin Fun Inflata Park

Our son is almost 5 years old, so he got a discount for under 5 – my husband and son cost $24 for an hour and a half of the jump. This is a great place with cheap concessions (alcohol included!!) so overall a great experience for us. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
