Primary school

0090 There is nothing better in the world,
Than to go to this school with a briefcase
Here we are always greeted with a smile
And all questions are answered.
Forgetting everything in the world,
Teachers give their hearts to children,
And they will not forget their calling,
And they will teach children all their lives.
Our carpet is the road to the kindergarten.
Our walls are your beautiful view.
Our roof is our faithful director.
Our happiness is to live with this school.

Since 2011, primary school has been taught in accordance with the second generation standards.

The primary school implements the curriculum: “School of Russia” http://school-russia.prosv.ru/

Duration of lessons in the 1st grade:

I half-year – 35 minutes,
II half-year – 45 minutes.

Number of lessons per day, in September-October – 3, in the following months – no more than 4.
Education without homework and scoring of students’ knowledge.
Additional weekly holidays in the middle of the third quarter.
Conducting two physical education sessions during the lesson.
Duration of the academic year: in grade 1 – 33 academic weeks;

Duration of lessons in grades 2-4 – 45 minutes.
Duration of the academic year: in grades 2-4 – 34 academic weeks.

The academic year is divided into quarters. From grades 2 to 4, assessment takes place in quarters. Parents have the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of their child’s education on the pages of the “Electronic Diary” service of the “Petersburg Education” portal.

The curriculum of the school from the 2nd grade includes the study of English. For successful learning and acquaintance with the language in the 1st grade, English is studied in the extracurricular activities “English through a fairy tale”.

To achieve successful education and upbringing, teachers and students are assisted by a school psychologist and speech therapist.

A school speech therapist is working to prevent writing disorders in students of grades 1 and to eliminate dysgraphia (violation of written speech), dysorphography (the inability to master spelling rules against the background of violations of oral and written speech) in children of grades 2,3,4.

Students have the opportunity to receive qualified assistance in preparing lessons.

In addition to hot breakfast and lunch, children can also drink tea or juice with pastries in the school cafeteria.

Free clubs and sports sections help children to reveal their creative abilities:

  • Rhetoric
  • fantasy world
  • Theater
  • Informatics in games and tasks
  • History of the city
  • English through fairy tale
  • Futsal and OFP
  • The path to creativity
For primary school students, extended day groups are organized, which are equipped with all kinds of educational games and videos.
Maintaining health is facilitated by a flexible daily routine: classes alternate with rest, after lessons a walk in the fresh air is provided.

Our school cooperates fruitfully:

– with the district children’s library, where specialists conduct master classes and classes on the history of the city with children free of charge;
– with the Center for Out-of-School Activities, where the Nevsky Route game program is held for students during the school year.
Primary school teachers pay great attention to educational work.
Comprehensively engaged in the moral and aesthetic education of students: they visit museums, theaters, during the academic year they go on sightseeing tours.

To create and unite the children’s team, holidays are held that have already become traditional:

  • Knowledge Day
  • “Initiation into young pedestrians”
  • “Initiation into first-graders”
  • “Mother’s Day”
  • “Farewell to the ABC”

Sports and entertainment programs:
“New Year’s Tale”

  • “If the army is strong, the country is invincible”
  • “March 8 – Mother’s Day”
  • “I protect my health – I will help myself”
The school has 8 primary classrooms.
Primary school teachers pay attention to working with gifted children. The school has created conditions for the participation of children in Russian Olympiads and competitions: in Russian “Russian Bear”, in mathematics “Kangaroo”, in English “British Bulldog”.
During the summer holidays, the city recreation camp “Peterburzhets” worked at the school, which was recognized as the winner of the nomination “The best organization of a summer recreation campaign based on a day camp” of the annual review competition for the best organization of a summer recreation campaign in 2012.

Primary school education is the foundation, the foundation of all subsequent education. Based on the natural curiosity of children, the need for independent knowledge of the world around them, cognitive activity and initiative, an educational environment is created in elementary school that stimulates the desire of students for self-knowledge and self-development through well-organized educational activities.
A stable, highly qualified teaching staff works with children – active, creative teachers who own modern pedagogical and information technologies. All teachers have higher education, 1 or the highest qualification category and work in their specialty.
Teaching subjects “Physical Education”, “Fine Arts”, “Foreign Language” are taught by subject teachers.

In our school, junior schoolchildren are taught using modern interactive technologies aimed at forming an active, intellectually developed personality who owns a solid base of knowledge, skills, who is able and willing to learn. Primary school teachers use both traditional and new pedagogical technologies and forms of educational activities in their work, trying to develop the child’s personality as much as possible. Therefore, at present, the school is actively implementing the requirements and provisions of the new generation educational standard.
The teaching staff directs its efforts towards educating the intellectual personality of a student who has a personal position, is able to perceive and understand the values of world culture, and is ready for self-determination and self-realization in the modern conditions of a big city.

Schools in Portugal are all about primary education. Differences from Russian schools

We have put together a guide to the best schools in Portugal: how to enroll a child in a school, how much tuition will cost and how to study for free.

How to send your child to a Portuguese school

Primary education in Portugal can be obtained not only by citizens of the country, but also by foreigners. In most schools, students learn Portuguese, one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and also receive education through international programs.

We have already talked about how the school system works in the article “Education in Portugal: Kindergartens, Schools and Universities”. Let us briefly recall the features.

Choice of school. Schools in Portugal are divided into two types: public, where teachers teach in Portuguese, and international – with programs in English. The cost of education depends on the prestige of the school and the composition of teachers: the more foreign teachers, the more expensive.

Stages of learning. Education at school consists of three stages: preparatory, basic and high school.

Preparatory classes accept children from three to five years old. Training in them is optional.

Basic school education is received for nine years, between the ages of 6 and 15. For the next three years, schoolchildren study according to the general program if they are going to enter universities, or according to the technological program if they plan to work immediately after school.

Calendar and schedule. The school year in Portuguese schools starts in mid-September. There is no fixed date: the Portuguese Ministry of Education recommends when to start studying, for example from September 15 to 20, and the school administration independently determines the date of the first classes.

Vacation dates are also not fixed. At the beginning of the academic year, they are approved by the Ministry of Education of Portugal.

Pupils have two weeks off at Christmas and Easter. Classes are closed for a week from the end of February to the beginning of March, when the Mardi Gras carnival takes place.

The longest holidays are summer holidays: they start in early July.

Lessons last 90 minutes. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but parents are allowed to bring their children to class by 7:30 a.m. From 17:00 to 19:00, a student can be left for an extension.

Unlike Russian schools, Portuguese schools consist of several buildings. Students under the age of 10 study separately from senior students.

Program. At primary school, they study Portuguese, mathematics, science, music, drawing, physical education. English is studied from the third grade. Children of foreigners can attend additional free Portuguese lessons.

If parents believe that a child needs the help of a psychologist to adapt, the school provides a specialist free of charge. To apply, you must contact the class teacher.

An additional advantage of Portuguese schools is that you do not need to buy textbooks and diaries. The administration issues a QR code, according to which parents pick up textbooks from the school library or a specialized store. Diaries are also free. Parents pay only for backpacks and stationery.

Admission procedure. Children who are six years old before September are admitted to the first grade in Portugal.

Enrollment in schools opens in May. Information on the number of free places can be clarified on the school website or in the administration.

In order for a child to be enrolled in a Portuguese school, an application must be submitted electronically. Attached to the application:

  1. Copies of passports of the parents and the child.
  2. Medical certificate with vaccination information translated into Portuguese.
  3. Father’s or mother’s individual tax number.
  4. Student’s personal file.
  5. Two photographs for a personal file.
  6. Documents confirming the address of residence. For example, a certificate of ownership for an apartment or a lease agreement.

Foreign students. Families who move to Portugal from Russia need to prepare documents in advance and certify them with an apostille at the Russian Ministry of Education. To affix an apostille in Moscow, you can apply on the mos.ru website. Verification of documents takes from 5 to 45 business days.

If a student is transferred from a Russian school, you will need to receive his personal file with information about progress in subjects. On the basis of a personal file, a student is enrolled in a suitable class.

Final exams. In the twelfth grade, students take final exams. The subjects depend on the direction that the student has chosen.

The maximum score in the exams is 20 points. Students who score 18 or 19 points in the exams pass the competition in most universities.

Private and public schools in Portugal

Portuguese schools are divided into public and private.

Public schools are free for citizens of the country and families who have received a residence permit in Portugal.

The family only pays for after-school and school lunches: from 70 to 90 € per month. If parents do not have time to take their child to classes, you can use the free school bus. The bus driver will pick up the child at home in the morning and bring him after school.

You can get a residence permit – a residence permit – in Portugal in exchange for investments.

The investor chooses one of the options: buy shares of a Portuguese company or open a deposit in a bank in the amount of €1,500,000, invest €500,000 in research activities or investment fund units, create a company with a capital of €500,000 and head office in Portugal, invest 250,000 € in the preservation of the national heritage, open a business and create 10 jobs or buy real estate in the amount of 280,000 €. Buying a home is the most popular option. The minimum investment amount is 350,000 €. With this amount, you can buy real estate over 30 years old, which is located in the interior regions of Portugal, in Madeira or the Azores. To buy a newer object, you will need to invest from 500,000 €.

Residence permit in Portugal can also be obtained 2-3 months after the D7 visa for financially independent persons. Such a residence permit has more restrictions, for example, it is necessary to spend at least 183 days a year in the country.

In public schools, they teach according to the generally accepted secondary education program – International Baccalaureate or IB Diploma Program. Lessons are held in Portuguese. If the child does not know the language well, the school will allocate time for additional free lessons.

Children from low-income families can get help. Depending on the income of the parents, the student is given money every month to buy notebooks and pens, and they are provided with free lunches. A new academic year has begun in the country. Every third of these guys is a foreigner, and even more were born in mixed families. Therefore, for many parents, the Swiss school is also something completely new and unusual, sometimes radically different from the school of their childhood. How do they deal with culture shock?

Shy and uncommunicative children are often ignored by teachers. But Swiss teachers do their best to take into account the individual characteristics of each child. ” Rubin* is originally from India, she now lives in the canton of Vaud, and she is just happy that her children can go to school in Switzerland. Lynn came to Switzerland from China. She was pleasantly surprised that the Swiss school thinks of everything: “Here they even offer us scissors and left-handed laptops!”

Five months before the first day of school, the family received a letter from the local RONO listing everything that the child should already know and be able to do. Among the competencies required are the ability to use scissors, the ability to tie shoelaces, and the understanding of the need to … flush after using the toilet.

I got the impression from him that the school needs a herd of obedient sheep doing the same thing,” says Munira, not without sarcasm.

Adrienne Berger, educator in charge of migrant children’s schooling at the Friborg Cantonal Public Education Office (DICS), is puzzled by this reaction. “These letters are sent solely for the purpose of starting a dialogue with the parents of our future students. It is not about the requirements that will be imposed on children immediately on the threshold of school, but about the ways in which parents can prepare their children for school, thereby facilitating a change of scenery for them, ”she clarifies.

At the center of these films are the peculiarities of the school system in the canton of Friborg. And they unobtrusively show the daily life of Swiss schoolchildren.

And if he devoted the first 15 minutes to greetings, then for another half hour he talked about the measures that the school is taking to help the weakest students, ”says a mother from China. She was deeply impressed by how the school takes care of children who find it difficult to learn. Fadel, a Moroccan father who lives in the canton of Bern, confirms her words: “If you take compulsory schooling in Switzerland, then first of all I would note the attention paid to lagging children who grasp knowledge more slowly than others.”

According to her observations, students who do not speak the language of a given canton take on average two years to become fluent in it. And in order to bring it to the level of the native language – from five to seven years.

And parents appreciate it. Children start intensive learning to read and write from the first year of primary school (the so-called 3H level). Since this year is considered a key year, it is not uncommon for teachers to recommend that one of the children stay for a second year, or, as it is politically correct called here, “extend” the first year.

However, the final decision remains with the parents,” says Adrienne Bergère. “Come on, neither the principal of the school, nor the government official who advises on education, no one can make a decision against your will,” says Munira with admiration, regretting that often migrant parents, feeling insecure away from their homeland, almost blindly trust official educational bodies instead of acting on their own.

This is Jia, a Chinese mother from the Canton of St. Gallen. Her 8-year-old son, since he started elementary school, has been constantly suffering from headaches. “The problem is that he learns too fast and then he just dries out of boredom at school,” his mother says.

Gia eventually did just that, however, her son’s situation did not improve at all.

In order to ensure the objectively necessary degree of unification of educational programs and standards, the HarmoS project was launched in Switzerland. In the Confederation, such projects are called “concordat” . At the center of this kind of contractual relationship is the mechanism of voluntary accession to a particular project of the subjects of the federation, who are convinced of its, the project, objective usefulness.

The HarmoS Education Concordat entered into force in 2009 after the minimum number of cantons joined it.

Not only academic performance should be taken into account. You also need to think about factors such as the process of socialization and the development of personal maturity, ”explains Adrienne Berger. “A child, albeit with a very developed intellect, still has a degree of maturity corresponding to his real age. Studying in the society of older schoolchildren can only complicate the process of his socialization. In order for the child to find friends and feel good in the class, it would be optimal for him not to change the class, but to offer him a program that is more in line with his abilities and needs.

Gia understands this well. “Primary schools in Switzerland are very good, especially if you have an ordinary child, such a strong average child,” she says. As a result, she and her husband decided to send their son to a private school, which would cost them dearly.

Hannah, an English mother, still does not know how to resolve it. What should an atheist family do if their daughter is enrolled in a school in the canton of Bern, where religion is taught as a compulsory curriculum? Some children receive exemption from them, but the only alternative then is the need to do additional homework while sitting in the school corridor, most often alone. Therefore, Hannah’s daughter decided to stay in the class for the religion lessons, which were taught by a very religious teacher.

As a result, one day the girl returned home in tears. “She said that, according to the teacher, those who do not believe in God will go straight to hell. And she was very scared for me, ”says her mother. Another time, Hannah’s daughter could not calmly listen to the retelling of the sufferings of Christ by the same teacher. “This is too bloody scenario for children 6-7 years old. My daughter was sitting in the classroom and secretly wiping her tears!” Nevertheless, Hanna did not apply to the directorate. “One mother has already done this, and to no avail. What’s the point then?”

If you cannot find a common language with teachers, then you should contact the director or the school inspector. In addition, schools usually have a parent committee. “Even if they do not always agree among themselves, teachers and parents, nevertheless, are always determined in the end to ensure the good of the child. But for this, everyone must go his own half way.

This is exactly what a mother from Russia has in mind. “We often here in Switzerland recall our own experience of studying at school, compare school subjects with what our children go through at home. And you can often hear the opinion that, they say, children here are learning mathematics “wrongly”, that they do not do this or that. But do not forget that, in the end, our children will have to live in Switzerland. Therefore, the school must first of all prepare them for the Swiss future, and it does an excellent job with this function.”

Local officials attribute this reorganization to improved spending efficiency and promise to transfer elementary schools to kindergartens, while the fate of special schools for difficult teenagers is still unknown. Residents of the metropolitan area are indignant and demand that officials start with themselves and vacate the kindergarten occupied by the local education department.

Local residents who contacted the editors of GZT .RU have somewhat different information. They fear that only elementary schools will be reorganized, while two special schools will simply be closed and their fate has not yet been determined.

I immediately wrote a letter to the Internet reception of the prefect of Zelenograd. It was never published in the following days. Moderators haven’t let him in for a week now. The same story with the local education department, – says Nikolay Kazusev.

Great team, extended service until 18:00, many medical procedures. I already planned to send my youngest son to her, who will soon go to school. As I managed to find out, we will be merged with a regular school and there will be no extension there. The teachers, as I understand it, will most likely move to a new school, and the teachers will simply be fired, – Nikolai is sure.

School No. 1704 teaches children with visual impairments. On the basis of the institution, a day hospital for children’s polyclinic No. 84 operates. Children receive ophthalmic, physiotherapeutic treatment, massage, exercise therapy, herbal medicine, electrosleep. After the reorganization of schools in Zelenograd, there will be one full-day elementary school – No. 1701 in the 11th microdistrict.

Anna Haleva also does not exclude the possibility that three primary schools (No. 1702, No. 1703 and No. 1704) will be converted into kindergartens.

According to official information, at the moment there is a shortage of places in Zelenograd kindergartens of 1.5 thousand (another kindergarten is being built in the 9th microdistrict).

Gryzlov promised to place 1.7 million children in kindergartens in a year At the moment, about 1.7 million children in Russia cannot go to kindergarten. After Russian President Medvedev addressed his children’s message to the Federal Assembly, State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov said that it was possible to eliminate queues in kindergartens in just a year.
