Description:

I’m offering summer daycare at my home in Long Grove, IL. I am a sophomore pre-med student at Northwestern University majoring in Neuroscience. I have decided to spend this summer hosting a children’s day camp.I am certified in basic life support (BLS), first aid, asthma and inhaler protocol, as well as Epi-Pen protocol. I am also Red Cross certified in babysitting. My mother will be working from home in case of situations in need of an older adult. Days with more than 5 children will include my brother who is a senior at Stevenson High School and also a junior baseball coach with the Lake County Stars. Camp is limited to 10 children.Every day has the same structure but with different activities; we will swim, learn, do science experiments, cook, do crafts, and read! An afternoon snack will be provided. Camp is held Mon – Fri, rain or shine, 9am – 4pm. A waiver and medical information form will be sent for completion before camp start date. The price is $350/week per child. Before and after care available, on an as-needed basis, at $20/hour/child. Payment can be made in cash or check and is due on Mondays. Your child must be able to use the bathroom and change in and out of their bathing suit independently. It is preferable if your child knows how to swim; however, if your child cannot swim, you will need to provide a life vest and/or floaties. There are six cats and one dog in the home. Questions? Contact me at (847) 867- 4949 or waldron. [email protected]. My Home & Camp Location: 4126 Three Lakes Dr., Long Grove, IL 60047. Parents will check-in children with their signature when dropped off. Adults designated for pick-up must show a driver’s license and sign check-out form. Temperatures will be taken daily upon arrival with an ear thermometer. Children with a temperature of 100.4 or above may not stay for camp. Children will be monitored to ensure they wash hands throughout the day. My philosophy is that it’s not realistic for children to wear face coverings and stay 6 feet apart throughout the day. They will not be allowed to share food or drinks and will be discouraged from overt physical contact. Camp is offered starting June 8th and will be offered every week until the end of July….

Lake Zurich, Zürichsee – Zurich

  • Location: between the cantons of St. Gallen, Schwyz, Zurich, Switzerland
  • Average depth: 49 m
  • Area: 88.66 km²
  • Bridges: Kweibrücke
  • Islands: Ufenau, Lützelau

You can relax your body and soul in nature – it is advisable to have a picnic in the forest or swim in a pond, so Lake Zurich is an ideal candidate for this, given its nature and the entertainment program prepared for tourists.

More about Lake Zurich

The reservoir is located in Switzerland and is located at an altitude of 409 meters above sea level. Lake Zurich has such settlements around it as the cantons of St. Gallen, Schwyz and, of course, Zurich.

The lake is shaped like a crescent or a banana. A dam is located on the water, which divides the lake into 2 parts (upper and lower lakes), which turns them into completely different reservoirs in terms of depth, appearance, etc. Also, a railway runs along their banks, which allows newly arrived tourists to go to the water first thing.

There are two lakes on the lake – Ufenau and Lutselau, they are very small, but they have several buildings in the form of a church and houses. In addition, in 1854, elements and remains of pile settlements (houses on piles above the ground or above the water) were found at the bottom of the lake, including: tools, weapons, utensils and fishing tackle.

Upper and Lower lakes

Before you start to relax, you need to decide on the lake you need. The upper lake is shallow and there is no opportunity to swim in it, not to mention boats, but this is a wonderful place for fishing and that is why many people go here. It is rich in thickets of reeds and various types of fish.

The Lower Lake is a wide and deep (up to 143 meters deep) body of water, which is an ideal place for diving, sailing in boats and even steamboats.

Rest on Lake Zurich

The lake provides an opportunity to go boating, just swim, there is even shallow water for children, but the lake itself is far from a resort place, since the beaches are not equipped for recreation and all overgrown with grass. Be that as it may, people on the lake are given the opportunity of yachting, diving, fishing and even sailing on a passenger steamer.

Timetable for boats on Lake Zurich: 5 boats operate to transport tourists and they leave every 10 minutes. Each steamboat has a slightly different service and services, so the ticket price may vary, but on average from 85 euros to 125 (there is a small ship with a ticket price of 30 euros). It is also possible to ride on ordinary boats and small ships, which is much cheaper.

Often events and celebrations (art festivals and even wine fairs) are organized on the shores of the lake and in the surrounding area, which everyone can visit and participate in competitions.

How to get there?

You can get directly to Zurich from the airports of the capitals of European cities or by train from any other city in Switzerland and get off at the railway station very close to the lake. If you are already in Zurich, then you can get to the lake by public transport under the numbers S40 and 125 or by rented car.

The lakefront in Zurich wraps around it from two sides. Its western part is Mythenquai , the eastern part is Utoquai . Both parts originate from bridge Quaibrucke separating the lake from the river Limmat.

Well-maintained and tidy, the embankment is one of the most pleasant places for walking. Lake Zurich is ecologically clean, and you can safely swim in it, and on both of its banks there are numerous parks, squares and recreation areas with benches and flower beds.

Bürkliterrasse , where the Bahnhofstrasse ends, is the point on the western waterfront from which tourist pleasure boats leave. There is a flea market right here on Saturday mornings, carousels are set up in the summer, and a wine exhibition is held on the decks of ships moored off the coast in the fall. Nearby is the picturesque green Enge Square (Enge Weise) near the water, and further south – Belvoir Park (Belvoirpark).

East embankment ends at park Zurichhorn , pleasant for relaxation and jogging. The futuristic Tangley sculpture “ Eureka ” is installed here, reminiscent of a steampunk self-propelled apparatus. Here, in the summer, residents of the city gather for recreation: they take sunbaths and swim in the lake.

Walking a little further, you will find yourself in Chinese Garden : a vibrant and picturesque landscape park worth visiting.
