Special needs child care in Salt Lake City, UT

Background Check

After nearly five years in Talent Acquisition/HR, I have decided to return to teaching. I have taught in public and private schools in NY, UT and the Middle East. My most recent experience working with children was as a private teacher/trainer in Brisbane, Australia, supporting young people withspecial needs in the community.
I am flexible and easy-going. I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with the care/education of someone else’s child and I take that responsibility very seriously.
A comprehensive CV and references will be provided upon request. I am happy to answer any questions about work history, personal philosophies, and education….

Background Check

Hello! I am 21 years old at Westminster college studying K-12 Mild/ Moderate Special Education
and a minor in Early Childhood Montessori teaching. I love to be with children of all ages! I have
always known that I wanted to work with kids so I decided to go to college for it. I wanted to
become a Special Educator because I was a student growing up with an IEP. I have an Auditory
Processing Disorder and my family recognized it early on. I had a speech therapist also growing
up and was pulled from classes to be in Special Ed. My teachers supported me and helped me grow.
I learned so many tools that I was able to take with me out into the world. While being in college
I’ve loved learning and grasping new techniques to help others. I want to help other kids learn
in their own way to their best potential. While I can be a tutor, doing laundry, cleaning, errands I
can even be a friend.
Message me if you’re interested!…

Salt Lake City History

The official date for the creation of the first permanent settlements in the Salt Lake Valley is July 24, 1847. On this day, a group of Mormons led by Brigham Young arrived there. They traveled across the United States in search of a secluded place where they could live in peace in their faith – without the violence they were subjected to in other states.
In history, the famous phrase said by Young after a visit to the valley – “This is the place!” dedicated to Mormon pioneers.

Four days after the move, Brigham Young identified a site for the Salt Lake Temple. Subsequently, he became one of the most famous attractions in Salt Lake City and the “calling card” of the Mormons.

In 1849, the Mormons decided to officially name their lands Deseret and filed an official petition. The U.S. Congress rejected the petition and named it Utah Territory, making Fillmore the capital.

In 1858, the title of state capital passed to Salt Lake City. The city’s population continued to grow with Mormon converts and gold diggers during the Gold Rush. Ultimately, the city became one of the most populated places in the Wild West.

Mormons have been under tight government control since the mid-19th century. The reason was the polygamy they practiced. The federal authorities established two military bases on their territory, and in 1890 a manifesto was issued ordering church members to submit to the government and renounce polygamy. In the end, the Mormons surrendered.

Utah became a state in 1896. In 2002, the Winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City. Preparations for it had a positive impact on the entire infrastructure of the city.
