Amanda L
8950 S. 84th Court, Hickory Hills, IL 60457
Starting at $225/wk
Description:
I’ve been doing in home childcare for a little over 16 years now and I am licensed through the state. Prior to my daycare career I was a teacher until I became a Mom! I was also the head of an after-schoolprogram for a local elementary school. I’ve worked in daycare, summer camps, summer school, basically any job that involves children. I have my degree with a certification in early childhood education. I started babysitting out of my home 16 years ago and love it. I’ve teamed up with my sister who is also a stay at home mom and comes to my house to help me out or to fill in for me. Teaming up with my sister has really worked out nice because she’s my back up so you wouldn’t ever have to worry about your sitter calling off with the two of us! We would treat your child as if he/she were our own. As a mother I know how hard it is to find childcare I’ve been there, especially trusting someone off the internet. Rest assure being a teacher in a public school I’ve been fingerprinted, background checked, and have a great reputation from my long term families I sit for! I charge $50/day for full time and $60/day for part time (2 or 3 days). I live in Hickory Hills very close to 294 & 55. Please email me if you’d like more information, I’d love to meet you and your little one:)
Thanks. ..

Happy Elephant English Kindergarten has created an international environment that brings together children from different countries of the world who speak different languages, which ensures English-speaking communication between children, and not just with teachers, which creates a natural English-speaking environment and ensures complete language immersion, thereby children learn English most quickly and naturally.
Parents have the opportunity to choose a program for children: English, English-Russian, Russian.
We raise our future generation from a very young age and develop their personalities in all aspects. To do this, we have created a safe and comfortable space, developed the best development methods. We organize an English-speaking or bilingual environment from a very young age. We do all this based on love, warmth and respect for children. We are chosen by families who want the best for their child. It is important for us that when picking up a child, the children and their parents have happy and satisfied faces after each day spent in Happy Elephant kindergarten.
All-round development of children
In addition to learning English, our kindergarten provides various hobby groups and sections, from music to sports and technical.
There is also a weekend group where you can leave your child for one hour or all day and not worry about him, under our supervision he will spend this time not only fun and interesting, but also useful.
Happy English employs professional speech therapists and child psychologists.
About Happy Elephant
Active learning
We teach children not to give up at the first difficulties in learning English, but to persevere towards their goal.
Critical thinking
Children form their own opinions and make informed decisions based on the information they receive.
Games and exploration
Children should be willing to try new things, look for new challenges and not be afraid to make mistakes.
Why should a child learn English in kindergarten?
Modern realities are such that a person who speaks English well, a priori, has an advantage over colleagues and competitors in almost any field of activity.
However, it is very difficult for an adult to master English perfectly. Today it is absolutely proven that the formation of neural connections responsible for language skills occurs in the period up to 6-7 years, and it is at this time that a child is able to master English in a natural way, through communication and games, and not through tedious memorization.

What parents say
My son has been going since the opening. He really likes the team of children and teachers who find a common language with children! I recommend the kindergarten for children from 4 to 7 years old (we went at 4), although there are also a lot of little ones, they go for a long time, which means that the parents are happy. I would especially like to mention the teacher Nino, whom the children perceive as a member of the family. Constant classes on various topics with her go with ease and joy for the child. Which is very important. I like the approach of the speech therapist Anastasia – the result of pronunciation by her son is objectively visible. Drawing for practicing fine motor skills is also at the highest level.

For 6 weeks Victoria played and studied with great pleasure. Unfortunately, we have to move to Holland now. Victoria and I would like to express our gratitude to the entire team for the proper care and attention. And we wish you good health and great success with Happy Elephat!

We loved every minute at Happy Elephant! All teachers and staff are always so friendly and nice. My kids are so happy to come every day and are always happy when we pick them up. This is such a wonderful program. We look forward to returning in the fall. We are in Canada this summer!
