AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Ina KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Being a first-time mom, I was hesitant to take my daughter to a child care center. I thought it would be hard for my daughter to adjust, but Ina KinderCare ended up becoming an extension of our family! I couldn’t be happier with KinderCare, and my daughter even cheers when we arrive in the parking lot. I love that it is something she looks forward to. As a parent, I love how they keep me informed and everyone knows my daughter by name. I always recommend KinderCare because I know my friends will be just as happy there as I am. I feel confident leaving my daughter there and know this as her happiness shows how great they are with her. She has picked up great social skills, counting, her alphabet, and more–all by attending KinderCare’s Infant and Toddler programs. We know that she is having fun, but we also know she is learning. We love KinderCare and look forward to continuing our relationship with them for many years to come.

    Alicia D. – KinderCare Parent
  • Our experience with KinderCare for the last two years has been outstanding! We foster medically fragile children: some with physical needs, others with developmental delays. We know in our hearts that the staff is a huge part of why these children flourish and thrive. The Teachers in the Infant and Toddler Classrooms are highly skilled with a focus on growing strong little bodies and curious, happy minds. They are always open to any physical therapy requests we have, offering more tummy time, keeping up on the latest on DME (durable medical equipment) care, and offering one-on-one attention to get our kiddos up to speed with loving care and kindness. The administrative staff is just as supportive–not only do they encourage and nurture our kiddos, but they also give us support and encouragement to continue with this calling to be foster parents.  It is not an easy road being a foster parent: There are many difficult days and heartaches from dealing with the court system, but the staff let us know every day that they appreciate our efforts. They are an integral part of our success with these kiddos, and a core part of our team. I can’t imagine doing this wonderful, difficult, amazing thing without all of them! We could go anywhere in Tucson, but we choose Ina KinderCare for the education setting coupled with knowledgeable, loving staff.  Thank you for all you do for our family.

    Jules N. – KinderCare Parent
  • I am a single mom raising a two-year-old child, but with all the help and support from the wonderful people at KinderCare, my son is learning more than I could ever teach him. They sing, play games, teach manners, and are even helping with potty training. Thank you, Ina KinderCare! Special thanks to Ms. Donna, Ms. Leah, Ms. Kathy, and Ms. Foster, who have worked directly with my son.

    Gina B. – KinderCare Parent
  • Ina KinderCare and their team have been a lifesaver! I am a single mom with three boys and the staff, including the Director Ms. Jacki and Assistant Director Ms. Sarina, are fantastic! I love the care and attention that my kiddos receive while they are there and my boys absolutely love their Teachers! My younger boys come home singing songs, reciting the alphabet and their colors, and talking about what they did in school today. My older school-age son has been able to make friends and he loves the activities that are planned for him after school–well, after help with homework, that is… Overall, the staff and KinderCare as an organization have put my mind at peace while I am at work and knowing that my boys feel they truly cared for makes my confidence that much stronger! Thank you, KinderCare, I appreciate you guys!

    Carrie F.

  • It is with great pleasure that I write this testimonial for the Ina KinderCare center in Tucson, Arizona. The center is well-organized, safe, clean, and comfortable. The most important feature is the staff, all of which are professional, caring, and incredibly patient. We have only been at this school for six months and I was very nervous to switch child care providers. Prior to the switch, I met with the Teachers and administration, and felt very reassured about the move. They listened to all of my concerns and made it a seamless transition. My youngest son (age four) has some emotional issues and can be very trying, to say the least. After a short ‘honeymoon’ period, he fell back into his routine of defiance and aggressive behavior. The Teachers could have easily labeled him as a ‘problem child’ and written him off. Instead, they communicated with me, took the initiative to pull outside resources, and together we created a special system to recognize and encourage my son’s positive choices. It is evident that they care deeply about every child. Although it is a work in progress, I am very pleased with the results and emotional growth that I have witnessed in my son in recent months. In addition to the emotional support provided by the Teachers, I love the structured environment and stimulating activities I observe. Every month has fun, themed days that create excitement for my children. We enjoy seeing the Teachers dress up and I like how the themes provoke interest and questions about other cultures. Since I am a single mother without much family nearby to help, I rely heavily on KinderCare to be the ‘village’ that helps me raise my children and shape their futures. We have been through several child care providers and I am confident that this center is the best place for my kids when they cannot be with me.

KinderCare teacher fired over allegations of abusing babies

The time is fleeting. The moments, precious. And the letting go, necessary.

“I have to work to take care of my family. I have to trust people with my child,” said Ashley Causey, holding back tears.

When Causey, a pharmacy technician, had to put her baby daughter, Janelle, in daycare, she chose

KinderCare

on Torrey Pines Drive and Flamingo Road.

Janelle’s tears turned to smiles as she adjusted to her new surroundings. Then…

“This incident happened and made me question everything,” said Causey. “This is a working mother’s worst nightmare.”

On Aug. 13, according to a report later filed with police, an administrator told Causey that Janelle was “mishandled” by a teacher while trying to put her down for a nap.

“When I pick her up, she’s wincing in pain,” Causey recalled.

It was only after Causey got home that she learned just how bad it was.

“Under her ribs, wrapping her ribs, she has whole human hand marks bruising on her back. You can see each finger and hand on her back. And she had bruising on her head. I lost it.”

Evidence of suspected abuse

Emergency room records show Janelle had a chest wall contusion–meaning the muscles between her ribs were bruised.

Hospital records describe it as a painful condition because every breath moves the injured area.

During the doctor’s exam, Causey said, “She screamed. I’ve never heard her scream that way.”

KinderCare wouldn’t tell Causey who hurt Janelle but state child care licensing records name Karla Garcia.

KinderCare did self-report the incident to the state and also did their own internal investigation.

Records show another teacher witnessed Garcia “abruptly forcing two children to lay down… while yelling.”

“Slammed down, face down, and it was witnessed that she was hitting them on their backs,” is how Causey says it was described to her.

The teacher who reported Garcia to the center director wrote: “As I was watching, Karla [Garcia] slammed [the babies] down onto their cots and pushed their bottoms down very aggressively and with lots of anger.

The kids were crying.” She added, “This is getting out of hand and I am starting to feel very uncomfortable,” indicating it wasn’t an isolated incident.

“You have a one-year-old baby who can’t talk, who can’t defend themselves!” Causey said through tears.

Six teachers independently interviewed in KinderCare’s internal investigation said they’d seen Karla Garcia “constantly yelling inappropriately at the children” and handling the babies “heavily,” “roughly” and “aggressively.”

Also, “not providing explanation for ‘incidents’ with the children.”

And one wrote, “In her current mental state, I do not think she should work with children.”

Yet none of them reported any of that to the center directors until Janelle and the other baby were injured.

“It seems like this teacher may have been a ticking time bomb and a lot of people knew it,” Darcy Spears said to Denise Tanata of the non-profit group

Children’s Advocacy Alliance.

“And I think it’s important that… Obviously someone in the childcare center finally spoke up–another teacher saw enough that raised red flags,” Tanata responded.

Garcia herself claims she raised a red flag in a statement she wrote during the internal investigation.

At the time, she alone was responsible for nine children under the age of two–a violation of state ratio requirements.

Garcia wrote: “I have said more than once to more that one person in management that that room is too much for me. A person of my age.”

But she didn’t believe she did anything wrong with Janelle or the other baby, saying she was just “being firm.”

Garcia did not respond to our attempts to reach her.

“It’s a red flag. Not only for this center but I think for other child care centers to look at,” Tanata said.

“Do their staffs have the support that they need? Are they in the right place? Do they need to make some adjustments so these teachers aren’t getting stressed out to the point where they’re acting out on the kids?”

KinderCare fired Karla Garcia.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Abuse/Neglect detail investigated her and the case is now in the District Attorney’s hands. She has not been criminally charged.

The state cited KinderCare for “inappropriate discipline” and required all the center’s directors and caregivers to get more training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect.

But this is not the first time the center has been cited.

Records from 2017, 2018 and 2019 document failures in teacher training, proper staffing, supervision, support and safety.

So how do parents protect their children and what do you look for in a daycare?

Tanata recommends looking at the

state website for licensing.

There you can find inspection reports, complaints and supporting documents for incidents like Janelle’s.

And when talking to center directors, ask questions.

“Do they have an open-door policy–so can parents come into the facility at any time and go see their kids? If there’s ever a point where they’re denied access, that’s something that they might want to question. Also, some centers now have cameras on site where you can log in remotely and watch your kid, so at any time you can see them. That’s another good quality to look for.”

KinderCare says, “Due to privacy reasons” their centers do not have cameras.

Tanata says, “The biggest thing is intuition. If it doesn’t feel right it might not be. And I think that’s the other piece too–being an engaged parent. Having conversations with the teachers in the classroom. Knowing who they are. And just getting a feel for their personality.”

KinderCare refused to go on camera and would only provide a written statement, which says:

At KinderCare, the safety and well-being of the children in our care is our highest priority. We work hard each day to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in.

“The teacher involved in this incident no longer works at KinderCare. As soon as this concern was brought to our attention in August, we immediately put this teacher on leave and informed the child’s family. We also notified state licensing and other agencies and worked closely with them throughout the investigation. We provide rigorous training to our teachers across the country on all aspects of childcare – from child safety and nutrition to proper supervision. To help prevent situations like this from happening in the future, we’ve retrained all of the center’s teachers on mandated reporting.

As for Janelle, she’s back in daycare at a new school, and mom says, “It’s been a rough transition for her. She’s not the same.”

“There has to be justice for this situation, not only for my baby but for other babies,” she said.

Songs for babies 9000 separate world2 It is here that the child makes his first friends, goes through an important stage of socialization, learns independence, learns reading, writing.

The charm of this special period of life is reflected in funny songs about kindergarten! They tell about the exciting leisure of the children, devoted friendship, kind, attentive teachers. Each child will be able to recognize himself, his comrades, and teachers in these musical compositions.

The main feature of these songs is the simple text. If you decide to learn a vocal number with children, such compositions will fit perfectly. Familiar vocabulary combined with rhyme, perky melody will help the baby to show artistic talent! The lyrics of the song are easy to print out for distribution to the children. So the learning process will be as comfortable as possible for children. At the same time, this will be an additional training in reading.

When will nursery rhymes come in handy?

Songs about kindergarten can be used in several ways.

  • Listen for general development and vocabulary.
  • Study in music lessons, use for charging.
  • Rehearse dance numbers for a matinee.
  • Learn the vocal part for graduation.
  • Develop musical accompaniment, compose potpourri for competitions.

This makes songs about kindergarten and teachers a universal methodological tool for teachers and parents. The compositions will be appropriate not only for the graduation party, but also for other holidays in a preschool institution. Different in plot, complexity, duration of the compositions allow you to choose the perfect option for each occasion, to hold a memorable event.

Graduation songs

Graduation party is one of the most important holidays for a preschool child. It marks the end of kindergarten, the imminent entry to school. This is an exciting moment in a child’s life. Children’s graduation songs in kindergarten are full of gratitude to the teachers, joyful anticipation of an even more interesting social experience. They are perfect for:

  • for staging individual and group numbers;
  • musical background when presenting diplomas, memorable prizes;
  • support of games, contests.

Picking up songs about kindergarten for graduation is not difficult, because there are a lot of provocative compositions in professional performance. Melodies of different nature will help create a festive mood, set the children and parents in a solemn mood.

How to choose a musical composition?

Kindergarten songs for toddlers to choose depends on the event for which they are planned to be used. From an extensive playlist, it is easy to choose a few of the most suitable songs. When listening at home, you can safely turn on all the songs in a row!

Where and what to look for in order to choose a good kindergarten

To find out what toys are missing in kindergartens and what methods teachers use, experts from the Moscow City Pedagogical University conducted a study of the quality of Russian preschool education. Igor Shiyan, head of the Child Development Laboratory of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, member of the organizing committee of the International Conference “Education and Education of Young Children”, told Mel what is happening in modern Russian kindergartens.

Your research identified the strengths and weaknesses of early childhood education. But surely this is not his only goal?

We had two main motives. The first (formal) motive is to provide objective information about the work of the preschool education system. After all, there is a state standard, and you need to understand how it is being implemented. It is easier with the school: you can conduct final examinations. In kindergarten, it is more difficult to collect such information. When we test children and determine their level of development, it is easy to fall into the trap: is it the merit of the kindergarten or does the family develop the child? In addition, even within Moscow, kindergartens have different sociocultural conditions.

Second motive. By and large, what happens in the kindergarten group was unknown until recently. The work of the kindergarten was evaluated according to some formal indicators: according to the level of education of teachers, material equipment, and documentation. Another indicator was child morbidity, because children are very sensitive. If a child doesn’t like something or feels bad in kindergarten, he immediately gets sick.

But no one knew what was happening in the children’s group, how the teacher communicates with the children, what toys the child had at his disposal, whether they were allowed to be used. Now we have received this data. To do this, our experts spent five to six hours in groups.

Igor Shiyan

Did the presence of an outsider in the group affect the results? After all, the educator is unlikely to raise his voice when someone is watching him, and can allow the children to do something on ordinary days under lock and key.

Yes, you can pretend for a while. There is even such an expression: the quality of one day. But children are hard to fool. Their reaction to what is happening is indicative. And in any case, even if the educators did something good once, it means that they know how to do it in principle. What if they like it and want to repeat it?

The level of kindergartens is really different, especially in the regions. Did you have a random sample or did you select gardens of the same level?

Completely random in Moscow. And the Moscow study can be called 100% qualitative. A total of 36 preschool groups participated. But 228 preschool institutions from other 40 subjects of Russia were difficult to control. We offered to choose five random kindergartens and three in good standing. The tool we used (ECERS-R – “Scales for Comprehensive Assessment of the Quality of Education in Preschool Educational Organizations”) accurately described the indicator. We still have a great habit of reporting that everything is fine. Some regions did just that. But we tried to get rid of falsification and promised everyone that we would not compare the regions with each other. It was important for us to see what works in principle and what does not work.

Will the study continue?

Yes, this is a longitudinal study. We assumed that after the second year it would become clear how often it should be held. After all, there may not be a big jump in a year. Problems that relate to equipment are easy to solve even without additional investments. But work with staff will not give quick results. Therefore, it makes no sense to conduct research for the sake of research every year.

You assessed the environment of the preschool institution and the conditions for the development of the child. What does the term “environment” mean?

The environment is not only things, toys, cabinets, lighting. Although, speaking of this, we looked at what equipment the groups have, how useful it is and whether children can use it. It often happens that everything is there, but it is closed with a door with adhesive tape on it or lies in a hard-to-reach box. The environment is also the nature of the interaction of the educator and children, educator and parents, educators with each other.

A low score (between two and three on a seven-point scale) was given to the parameter of the presence of educational toys in the environment. Now there are a lot of plastic bright things in groups, but they are often useless. There is, of course, something like Lego, but this is different. It is important that children can build a structure in which they can fit themselves. There are almost no large building kits. Previously, there was a wonderful building set by Agapova. Now you rarely see him anywhere.

But it’s much sadder that children don’t even have access to what they have. In order for the toy cabinet door to be open, rules and norms are needed, which must be developed together with the children. Therein lies the problem. Much easier to remove and close. Even by the way the furniture is arranged, you can see everything: the children are sitting at the tables as if they were at their desks.

What were the most unexpected results?

In kindergartens, there is excellent communication between teachers and children among themselves, but not so much between teachers and children. We are the heirs of the outstanding psychologist Lev Vygotsky, and we are proud of it. His concept is just about the zone of proximal development and about an adult – a person who focuses on the capabilities of the child. It turned out that we are not very good with this, we do not teach teachers this.

And, as I said, we were struck by the fact that there were few dice in the groups. There is a lot of all kinds of expensive equipment (musical, sports), but there are no elementary things. Another of the parameters that we explored is cultural diversity. That is, toys and activities that show diversity: national, gender, professional and physical.

And by what criteria did you evaluate the discipline? For example, some children consider themselves disciplined and good if they eat all the porridge on their plate, say hello loudly, and are not distracted in class.

We investigated whether children follow the rules and whether there are conflicts in the group. And there are two points to think about.

First, are all rules so good? Olga Shiyan recently wrote about the common rule “When I eat, I am deaf and dumb. ” Well, yes, it’s easier to manage the process, none of the children will choke. At the same time, we ourselves talk when we eat.

It turns out that in kindergarten, eating from a cultural and, by the way, educational process has turned into a physiological one

Secondly, no one knows how these rules were introduced. When an expert comes to the group, he sees how the rule is being executed. Children follow the rules, do not interfere with each other. But how these rules appeared is unclear. We made sure that very often the communication of the educator with the children is as instructed. It is very rare that an adult just talks to a child to try to understand him.

Another curious thing. Bedrooms are the pride of all our gardens. But there is a rule: go there only during quiet hours. This huge space is used for two hours a day! Children accumulate in the playroom, crowding occurs, and the lack of space leads to both children’s conflicts and an increase in morbidity.

But can a teacher be in the bedroom and in the group at the same time? Perhaps this is the problem?

Yes, but there are many different solutions. An assistant educator is not a nanny, as we used to think. This is a junior teacher. This is a person who should also be involved in the process. But he has many other duties, for example, table setting. We talk a lot about labor education, but our children almost do not help set the table. Somewhere this is dictated by security, and somewhere by the fear of breaking dishes. Well, how to learn it differently? If a child is overprotected, he will not learn how to behave safely. And this is part of the educational program.

I was not at all surprised by the low score for the “personnel satisfaction” parameter. Teachers cannot leave even for five minutes, because they are responsible for the life and safety of children.

This is a very complex story about respect for the individual. The attitude that the educator receives, he also transmits to the children. You are right, there are very few equipped rooms just to take a breath. According to the time that the teacher spends at work, he is not allowed a break. This is the problem of the system as a whole. In fact, the time of pedagogical work is a physical stay with the children. This is such a strange rule.

When choosing a garden for a child, you may not always and immediately look at it through the eyes of a child. What should alert, and what should be good?

Everything that the child enjoys is good. And you should be alert if your acquaintance with kindergarten is limited. Try joining the group. If you see explicit or implicit disapproval, this is bad.

Look at the design of the space. You can already see everything along the corridors, you don’t even have to go into groups. Pay attention to something spectacular, for example, “Corner of Nature” or some village hut. You can immediately understand whether children go there or if this is an installation for beauty. If entry is denied, this should alert. Children always want to sit on a bench in this hut, touch some mineral or plant with their hands. Unfortunately, teachers underestimate the role of the game. “Play” in kindergarten should not be synonymous with the word “relax”. Children must play.

And focus on the formation. When a parent comes to pick up a child, the first and short report that they give him is: “Petya ate well.” It’s important, yes. But you need to understand that kindergarten is primarily about education and development. If teachers think about it, then with care and supervision, as a rule, everything is fine too.

Another significant moment: how many seconds the teacher is silent after asking the child a question. And how long can he remain silent when another adult asks the child a question. Usually not at all.

How to choose a private kindergarten in Chelyabinsk: Shopkalka for parents

Komsomolskaya Pravda

SHIPUSUSUSY-PRESS

31 July 2018 10:06 9000

What are private kindergartens, what should parents pay attention to

Today there are about 160 private kindergartens in Chelyabinsk. How can parents navigate this diversity? How to choose a kindergarten that your child will like? And what points should you pay attention to when choosing a private kindergarten in Chelyabinsk?

The problem is that often most private kindergartens in advertising and on websites say about the same thing about themselves – love and care, individual approach, a large list of activities, and so on. However, in fact, commercial kindergartens can differ diametrically in terms of the level of services provided.

Natalia Stolyarova, founder of the private kindergarten “Kolibri”

Together with the founder of the private kindergarten “Kolibri” in Chelyabinsk, Natalya Stolyarova, we tried to understand the issues of what the market of private kindergartens is like now, and what parents should pay attention to when choosing a kindergarten for your child.

Small or big?

The majority of private kindergartens are the so-called family kindergartens, which are located in apartments. If you see on the website of the kindergarten that it has one or two groups for children from one to three years old, then this is most likely an apartment option. Such gardens, according to approximate data, are about 90% of all existing in Chelyabinsk. Their main task is to look after and care for the kids while the parents are busy at work.

The second part is larger gardens with three or more groups. They are located either in cottages or in non-residential premises. These kindergartens are focused not only on care and supervision, but also on the development of the child. And only a few of them are licensed.

Both types of kindergartens have advantages. If your plans are to enroll a child before getting a place in a municipal kindergarten, and your priority is proximity to home and affordable price, then an apartment kindergarten may be a good option. An indisputable plus of apartment kindergartens is that you can certainly find such a kindergarten very close to your home.

If you plan to take your child to a private kindergarten before school, then you should look at large gardens. They have age groups, and your child will not be left among the kids when he grows up. In addition, large gardens, as a rule, have a number of advantages that apartment gardens do not have. This is its own territory for walking, an expanded staff, which includes teachers of additional education and narrow specialists, separate rooms for music classes, holidays, matinees and much more.

Important document

If you want to be completely sure that all the requirements and norms of the state are observed in the kindergarten, then it makes sense to consider private kindergartens with a license.

Having a license from a private kindergarten guarantees that:

 all tutors and teachers have specialized education and undergo advanced training in a timely manner;

 all employees of the kindergarten have valid medical books and regularly undergo serious medical examinations;

 the educational program complies with state standards of pre-school education, and the way the educational process is conducted is controlled by the Ministry of Education;

 the kindergarten complies with fire safety standards and has the conclusion of the Fire Supervision Authority, is under the control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations;

 the kindergarten complies with sanitary safety standards and is under the control of Rospotrebnadzor.

All this not only confirms the safety of the institution for the baby, but also gives parents confidence that the child will receive education in kindergarten, and not just be under supervision.

How to choose a private kindergarten in Chelyabinsk?

When you have decided on the type of kindergarten, it makes sense to pay attention to the parameters that determine how comfortable and safe the child will be in the kindergarten, and whether this kindergarten will be able to offer your child a full development.

— When parents come to the kindergarten, they often don’t know the intricacies and don’t always understand what to ask the manager to make a conclusion whether the kindergarten is suitable for the child or not, — says Natalia Stolyarova. – The most important, in our opinion, questions that should be asked when communicating with the kindergarten administration are listed below in a memo for parents.

The most significant parameters that you should pay attention to when choosing a private kindergarten are safety, catering, walking, comfort and opportunities for the development of the child.

Safety

To understand how safe the child will be in kindergarten, you can ask the administration a number of questions.

In the apartment kindergarten, you can find out how experienced the employee will work with the child, whether the employees have medical books, whether the furniture is fixed in the group, and how many tiers the cribs have, how often the premises are cleaned.

In large gardens, in addition to all of the above, you can ask about the availability of the conclusions of the Fire Supervision and SES, is there a video surveillance system with the ability to broadcast online, is there an emergency call button for the security service or, perhaps, are there guards on the territory, is there a medical worker in the state, whether employees will be able to provide first aid to the child if necessary.

You should be alerted if:

 employees do not have medical books;

 there are more than 10-12 children in the kindergarten and only one adult who acts as a teacher, nanny and cook at the same time;

 You are not asked for any medical records or certificates of your child’s health upon admission;

 a child from the kindergarten is ready to be given to an adult who comes for him without any written or verbal permission from the parents;

 in the kindergarten at the time of the visit you see dirt, children left unattended, open windows during the presence of the children in the group.

Catering

In the apartment garden, you should ask who prepares and serves meals for children, how many times children eat in kindergarten, is there a developed two-week menu or dishes are prepared according to the principle “what products are left”, are there any children in the diet products that can cause allergies, how products are purchased, where children’s dishes are washed.

For large gardens, the list of questions expands: is professional kitchen equipment used or dishes are cooked on a household stove, is it possible to adjust the menu for the individual characteristics of the child, are food samples taken and stored in the right way.

You should be alert if:

 children’s dishes are washed in the same sink where children and employees wash their hands;

 perishable products are bought in advance;

 food-allergens are present in the diet of children;

 On a child’s birthday, parents are allowed to bring cakes and sweets to the kindergarten to treat the children.

Walk

In the apartment kindergarten, it is worth asking how and where children walk, whether they take children for a walk in the cool season, and if the path to the playground is blocked by a road, how do caregivers solve the issue of safety when transferring children across the road.

In larger gardens, children usually walk on their own territory, but there are nuances, so check: is the territory for walking fenced off and can the child leave it on his own, what kind of children’s complexes are installed on the territory and whether they correspond to the age of children, what are covered walking areas, is the coating safe.

You should be alerted if:

 the yard where the guys will walk has a busy car traffic;

 in the winter season, children in the garden are not taken out for a walk;

 unsafe children’s complexes have been installed on the promenade.

Comfort

A very important parameter, because the child spends up to 12 hours a day in the kindergarten.

As a rule, a playroom and a bedroom are combined in apartment gardens, this is not always convenient, since a child who wakes up can wake up other children – there simply will be nowhere to take him out. Therefore, a plus for the kindergarten will be the division of the group into a playroom and a sleeping room. What else is important to clarify in the apartment garden for the comfort of children: how many children will be in the group and whether the room is designed for this number of children, what temperature is maintained in the group, is the furniture suitable for children, is it age appropriate, are the floors warm in the room, is it suitable whether the space of the toilet room for babies and how.

In larger gardens, attention should be paid to how fresh and modern the rooms in which the children will be, whether there are additional facilities for activities such as a music and physical education room, equipped rooms, whether there are separate toilet rooms for each group of children and are they equipped according to the age of the children, are there cubicles in the toilets for older children, do the children have personal lockers for undressing.

Care should be taken in gardens where the premises do not correspond to the number of children attending this group (the norm is 2.5 sq. m. group per toddler, 2 sq. m. – for children from three years old).

Opportunities for the development of the child

If a private kindergarten is ready to offer maximum conditions for development, this will serve as a reliable basis for further successful education of the child and admission to a prestigious school.

How is the issue of the development of children in apartment gardens solved? As a rule, if there are classes with children, they are conducted by the educator himself from the arsenal of his knowledge and experience. Most often, these are modeling classes, reading literature, gymnastics to music. The presence of additional incoming specialists will be a plus of such a kindergarten.

If you have chosen an apartment kindergarten, check with the administration: what classes are held with children, how often they are held, which of the teachers leads them, and what kind of education the teachers have.

Large kindergartens can offer you a fairly extensive list of activities. Pay attention to who leads the classes: it’s great if they are taught by different teachers. Find out what kind of programs the kindergarten works on. Ask how groups are formed – by age or in one group there can be children of different ages. If children are in a group of different ages, how are classes organized for them. Ask if all the children are taught at the same time or if the children are divided into subgroups. Ask if the kindergarten has a swimming pool, sports grounds and other spaces for activities. Specify whether children are being prepared for school, and what results kindergarten graduates show. Look at the class schedule, how saturated it is.

Instead of a conclusion

Both residential and large private kindergartens can be useful for parents. There are a lot of firsts in the city, and often they are located near the place of residence or work. The latter will ensure the maximum possible development and comfort for the child.

Kindergarten – how to choose and what to pay special attention to? | Mamovedia

Kindergarten – how to choose and what to pay special attention to? | Mamovediya – about the health and development of the child

Socialization is an integral part of our life and it begins from the sandbox, from acquaintance with peers. An important step in the socialization of a child is a visit to a kindergarten, where children learn to navigate in the world around them in a playful way. And the parents are faced with the task: to choose a kindergarten in which the child would go with pleasure. But how do you choose from the many options?

Choosing a kindergarten is a very painstaking task, which should be undertaken in advance due to long waiting lists for places in kindergartens.

First of all, don’t be afraid to entrust your child to someone else’s “aunt”. It doesn’t matter if you choose a private or public kindergarten, the workers in preschools are experienced, certified professionals who know how to handle a group of children. But if you have any fears, then your child will also feel them, which will greatly complicate the process of getting used to the team. Discuss your concerns with the head of the institution, with the educators themselves – do not cheat yourself and your child.

Private or public kindergarten? Everything depends on the financial possibilities of the family. But we advise you not to choose immediately without familiarizing yourself with the institutions of both categories. It also happens that the state kindergarten provides wonderful skills for children, has a list of special courses, provides wonderful conditions for nutrition, sleep and the child’s stay in general. Do not rush in your choice! Explore all relevant options.

And what options for choosing a kindergarten can be suitable?

Consider what will be the determining factor for you.

  • Proximity to home. Yes, this is important because you don’t have to wake up your child in the morning and get there in crowded transport. Explore kindergartens located nearby, where it will be convenient to walk with a small child in any weather.
  • Garden area . If possible, take a walk near the kindergarten during the walk of the pupils of the chosen institution. Is it safe for children to move around the area? Are the playgrounds equipped for active leisure? Do the teachers monitor the children, actively participate in the walk? And in general, do you like the area next to the kindergarten? Is it cozy in here? Focus on inner feelings, because your child will see this landscape every day and therefore it is important that beauty and harmony surround it.
  • Room condition inside . Explore the kindergarten from the inside. Bright bright corridors, cozy corners with exhibitions of children’s drawings and works will tell you more about the kindergarten than an audience with the head of the institution.
  • Getting to know the garden management. Before registering and standing in line to attend kindergarten, talk to the head of the preschool educational institution. Ask about the advantages of this kindergarten, what additional conditions are created for pupils, at what age children are accepted. It is also important to find out the opening hours of the garden, from which time you can bring the child and when to pick it up. Ask everything that interests you, even ask such “uncomfortable” questions as the amount of cash contributions. In addition to useful information, you will be able to see what kind of person leads the specialists who should provide your little blood with a proper upbringing.
  • Garden Specialization . Additional circles have become quite common even in state institutions. Choreography, drawing, art, swimming (if there is a pool on the territory of a preschool institution) – these are the most common special courses that can be offered to your children for an additional visit. But keep in mind that usually specialized circles are paid in addition to the general payment. Find out about the fee and the mugs that are available in a particular garden.

Have you decided on the main criteria? Then we have two tools for checking the selected options – the Internet and reviews of parents whose children have studied or are studying in this institution. Seek other parents’ opinions, but consider reasoned responses rather than impulsive comments. You can’t please everyone, and if the complaints are too emotional, then it’s hardly worth making the determining opinion of one family.

And now – the most important thing – introduce your baby to the selected options. Of course, the decision is up to you. But actually the child will spend several hours in this institution. Tell about the benefits of the garden and group games in a way that is accessible and interesting for your child, encourage your child to visit an educational institution, make up a fairy tale about the animals that studied here, come up with a fantastic story to make it easier for your child to get used to the kindergarten.

Good decisions for you and let visiting the kindergarten be a joyful event in your baby’s life!

Children’s hell. Toddlers sleep fours in cribs and on the floor

with social networks, a video appeared, which captures the “Tihiy hour” in kindergarten. Toddlers, of which there are at least 50 in the room, literally sleep side by side. Three or even four children huddle on one bed. Some did not have enough space in the beds – they were bedded on the floor.

The author of the video did not say when and where it was filmed. However, many users are sure that the overcrowded kindergarten is located in Kyrgyzstan.

The lack of pre-school institutions for the country is an acute problem. For the last 10-15 years in many kindergartens, especially in Bishkek, each group has 60 or even 80 children. Whereas the premises are designed for 25 people in a group.

Even in the early 2000s this situation was in the Ministry of Finance Sadik Frunze-Panfilov, also recruited 60 people into a group, slept 2-3 children in a crib.

The question is different – why are the former preschool institutions still not being returned?! I want to draw attention to the former kindergarten on Skryabin-Panfilov, at the present time there is the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs, another office would be allocated to the police, but how many young families with children would be made happy!

No, this cannot be in Kyrgyzstan. This is from some other Asian country, where they didn’t care about children and their health. Fortunately, in Kyrgyzstan this is more or less in order.

This is not news, this is a fact and has been like this for a long time. Parents need to earn money, and most of them, knowing about the overcrowding of groups in kindergartens, send them there, because they no longer have a choice. Not everyone can afford a private kindergarten. And our nordeeps don’t care about the ministries, it’s better to have more money in their pockets to have time to score, while hypermarkets are being built instead of state institutions.

There are 90 people in our group. It is a pity when the old Soviet buildings designed for children. gardens – demolish and build shopping centers. So it was with the kindergarten on the site of which the shopping center “Spring” now stands. Everything is for sale, what kind of debt to the motherland can we then talk about? Accordingly, patriotism.

kindergarten is money down the drain but the mosque is the electorate knowingly built a mosque and gardens and schools are not fashionable there and there is no electorate because the grandchildren themselves sleep 2-3 nannies on a separate bed yes and they go to school at least in a private and expensive one where in classes of 10 people or even less.

From Germany

04/24/2019, 19:35

This is all happening because of the general lawlessness in the country. There is no control in everything! During the union, each microdistrict had at least three kindergartens. Now what? Due to the lack of a Kindergarten in the localities, parents from no avail try to give in and shove their children into the kindergarten, where it is already overcrowded. Do you think someone is in control? det. Sada?! I think no. For example, in Germany we have a body at the mayor’s office that controls the movement of a child from the moment of birth. he can recommend and give a place for the child, specials are filled. Forms, etc., etc. this is done in advance, when the mother is still pregnant, i.e. Parents already know which kindergarten their child will go to. lawlessness and slovenliness at all levels is now happening in Kyrgyzstan, no comment

My granddaughter goes to kindergarten so there are 65-70 people in this group and what we saw on the video is not happening somewhere in neighboring countries, but in real life in Kyrgyzstan in the Bishkek nursery gardens. Here is a video to send to the Jogorku Kenesh to see what conditions our children are in, not theirs, but OUR CHILDREN. ..
