This center is awesome! We have only been at this center a little over a week it is like night and day from the previous center we were enrolled in. The Center Director Kristen always takes my child from me in the morning and he always smiles. My son started crawling within the first week of starting at KinderCare. Ms. Renee, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Melissa and Ms. Kristen are amazing. It is evident that the staff cares for the children and wants them to learn and grow while in their care. I could not ask for better care for my son.

When my sons were babies, they want to KC in Buena Park and they loved it. Now they’re parents and my grandson needed to be in daycare when he was 11 months old…so I naturally thought of KC. He was there until he was 2-1/2, and then I transferred him to the Lab School since I work at Fuller College. When he turned five I took him back to KC and it was like he never left. He was welcomed back with opened arms…Kristen Funk, the Director, was there when Shawn first started, as well as Ms. Sherry and Ms. Rene. They have always been there for me, and it’s been a place they Shawn always feels happy to go back to.These next two weeks will be his last ones there before kindergarten. Thank you KC for playing such an important role in the lives of my sons and grandson!

Not the place for your child
This school keeps on changing their teachers. My first child has been through 3 teachers in less than a year alone! My 2nd child has been with 2 teachers in a span of 5 months!! School does not inform parents that their child’s teacher is leaving. Teacher qualifications are poor. Most of them are still students taking their degree in education. Class sizes are always at max or even more because they keep on sending some 3 year olds to 2 year old classroom or 4 yr olds to 3yr old classrooms. Teachers instilling fear among the kids when they misbehave. Curriculum is okay. Not challenging enough. There’s no writing or reading programs for 4 yr olds. When I drop my kids in the morning, the classrooms are usually filled with crying, cranky, unhappy children. I eventually took my kids out of this school. Beware of this particular Kindercare branch. This is definitely not the place you want your kids to be.

Julia Fullerton-Batten: The Art of the Curve – Photar.
ru
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
Photo artist Julia Fullerton-Batten and Hasselblad brand ambassador create photographs that are infused with cinematic and hyper-realism. Many of her projects are shown in unexpected and surreal settings.
In her projects Julia often uses the so-called dramatic lighting in order to convey the tension and mystery of what is happening at the same time. This gives her works a mystery that pushes the viewer to constantly rethink the picture, because every time something new comes to the fore.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
Her fine art photographs are world renowned. Many works are exhibited internationally. Julia Fullerton-Batten has won countless awards internationally. Her photographs are often published in photo magazines, she has also published two books and is a frequent speaker at international seminars and is a member of the jury of international competitions.
Images by Julia Fullerton-Batten were featured on the cover of The Guide to Collecting Contemporary Photography. In addition, many of the photographer’s works are in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, the Élysée Museum, Lausanne and the Parliamentary Art Collection, Houses of Parliament.

Overwhelmed by the sheer strength and flexibility of a young troupe of acrobat girls, Hasselblad Ambassador Julia Fullerton-Batten decided to shoot a stunning photo project featuring these girls flexing in all sorts of unimaginable poses.
Using her signature cinematic style and recognizable lighting against the backdrop of impressive venues she found throughout England, Julia’s photographs provide us with a fresh look at one of the oldest forms of physical art dating back to ancient civilizations.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
Julia, tell us how did you find this acrobat troupe? And tell us a little about these girls.
Girls range in age from 12 to 16 years old. Most of them I found through their trainer, Pixie Le Not, who starred in Game of Thrones and my short film Frost Fair 1814. Some of them started doing gymnastics and then found out they were super flexible and now take acrobatics very seriously. I have been following them on social networks for a long time and I am always aware of all the events in which they participate. This is a wonderful, tightly knit, fun group of girls.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
How did you manage to create such a good environment for all these young girls to feel at ease during the shooting of the project?
Most girls are used to performing on stage. As with all athletes, it is very important for acrobats to properly warm up before shooting by exercising and practicing stretching. I make sure they have as much time on set as they want to pose. I also alternate them, when one gets tired, she rests, and another comes in her place.
It takes a lot of physical strength to assume a posture, especially a deep backbend, as all other muscles are used to protect the spine. Interestingly, on the day of the performance, the girls eat very little. It makes sense!
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
Julia, tell us about how you found all these great locations for this project.
One of my favorite places, the former Carmel College in Oxfordshire was the only known Jewish boarding school in Europe. From 19From 48 to 1998, it provided a first-class education almost exclusively for Jewish students, initially only for boys, girls were accepted later, from about 1986.
This school has often topped the list of the most expensive boarding schools in the UK, and since 1970 it has been nicknamed the “Jewish Eton” for its academic excellence and special cultural affinity. In 1997 the school was closed for financial reasons and most of the buildings fell into disrepair. I was attracted by the uniqueness of the rooms, but due to COVID-19I had to wait several months to be able to shoot there!
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
The second of my “members only” locations is a spectacular four-story Georgian townhouse in east London that offers private parties – striptease, etc. A door hidden in a bookcase opens up to exotic, decadent rooms. You might get the impression that you’ve stepped into a Baz Luhrmann movie set that oozes quirkiness and sophistication. This place has been closed for months due to COVID-19, but I got special permission to shoot and took advantage of this opportunity.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
The final filming location is an award-winning architect’s home inspired by a 1970s sci-fi movie. The house was designed by architect Adam Richards. Nestled in a secluded valley, the traditional brick building, in the style of a historic Roman villa ruin, contains grandiose concrete-lined rooms modeled after those seen in Andrey Tarkovsky’s sci-fi film Stalker.79 years old.
Modernist house built in the countryside in place of an old farmhouse is as far removed from British rural architecture as one can imagine. I was allowed to bring in most of the family’s belongings and art, turning it into a harsh, brutal gallery.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
What did you focus on to bring this idea to life?
For most of my fine art creations, the architectural setting is important to me. I try to remove as many things from the rooms as possible and then fill them with appropriate props to create the story I’m telling.
Only small adjustments are needed to create the setting – corn flakes spilling out of the package on the floor, boxing gloves hanging in the gym locker room, a fan standing on the floor, a girl holding a bottle of perfume. I come up with scripts for specific stories and then spend hours searching prop houses for the best props. I do not allow myself any compromise solutions.
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
Julia, how did you choose clothes for these acrobats?
The girls’ wardrobe was complex, as they had to be able to easily and comfortably bend in certain poses, but at the same time wear clothes that would not hide the shape of their body – otherwise the twisted figure would be hidden from view. We spent a day of trying on clothes and trying out moves in my garden in West London in the summer of 2020. It was a lot of fun and the girls were very excited!
Photo: Julia Fullerton-Batten
How did the camera help you Hasselblad H6D-100C in this shoot?
Combined with the lenses and accessories I use, the H6D-100c represents my ideal for optimal simplicity and unsurpassed image quality. The latter is very important to me as I exhibit very large prints (mostly over 1 meter wide). I love shooting with the H6D-100c.

Kings Education at California State University Fullerton | Education in the USA
Kings Education is an international educational group with more than half a century of history. The first language school was opened in 1957 in Bournemouth in the UK. In 2010, the network began operating in the United States. Today Kings has 3 schools in America, 4 in Britain, as well as centers for preparing students for admission to universities in the US and the UK. The choice of programs is extensive: language courses for youth and adults, preparation programs for entering foreign universities, vacation programs for schoolchildren. The level of teaching and organization of the educational process is confirmed by many awards, including the ESL award in 2017 and the UK Entrepreneurship Queen’s Award in 2016.
One of the Kings Education locations is Fullerton , California. Here, on the basis of California State University Fullerton (CSUF), programs are conducted for foreign students planning to enter one of the US universities.
CSUF is California’s premier public institution. It has over 40,000 students. California State University Fullerton has 8 colleges offering more than 100 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. Credits received while studying under the Kings Education program at CSUF can be credited for admission to any of the California universities, including California State University Fullerton itself or another American university.
Kings Education programs are hosted by California State University Fullerton. The urban campus is located in the northeast of Fullerton, in the center of Orange County. Founded in 1957, the university began to actively rebuild in the late 1960s. Under the direction of architect Howard van Hoeklin, futuristic buildings were erected, including the Pollack Library (South), Titan Shops, the Humanities Campus, and McCarthy Hall. In the 90s, the College Park Building, Steven G. Mihaylo Hall, University Hall, the student union center, art centers, etc. appeared. The university also includes a unique field station – the Desert Study Center.
The sports infrastructure of California State University Fullerton is represented by a modern sports center where students can practice swimming, rock climbing, as well as sports such as badminton, basketball, football, frisbee, volleyball, etc. CSUF is a member of the NCAA Division I. University sports teams have won 13 national championships in 8 different sports.
The university pays great attention to the all-round development of its students. There are more than 350 student clubs and organizations, including the Entrepreneur Club, Video Game Design Club, Civil Engineers Society, Absurd Chamber Club, Student TV, and more.
Kings Education offers the following study programs to international students at California State University Fullerton:
- GO:50,
- GO:100,
- GO: Art & Design,
- GO: Engineering.
They are designed for students with a strong command of English and academic subjects. However, the entrance requirements for programs from Kings Education are significantly lower than for direct admission to the university. At the same time, there is no need to waste a year on the traditional preparatory “zero” course: students immediately start studying at the university in the 1st year on a par with other students. After completing 2 courses, it is possible to transfer to another, more rated university. Thanks to this approach, students receive a bachelor’s degree in 4 years, like ordinary American students.
