This northern suburb of Atlanta provides a welcoming environment for both families and developing tech startups.
Peachtree Corners’ Town Center serves as its anchor, offering residents a hub for shopping, dining, and community events, such as free yoga or CrossFit classes, sporting-event screenings, and its annual summer concert series, which features free live music on the last Saturday of every month of the season.
Bordered by the Chattahoochee River, the town offers plenty of outdoor water activities, from fishing to tubing. The town’s 500-acre Technology Park, founded in the late ’60s, now employs 7,500 and is home to the buzzy new Curiosity Lab. Run by the city, the lab enables tech firms to trial prototypes under real-world conditions on its 5G-enabled, 3-mile autonomous vehicle track and test lane, which is connected to a public street that sees more than 14,000 cars daily. Also nearby is Atlanta Tech Park, an accelerator helping entrepreneurs develop and grow their businesses.
