I cannot express how grateful I am to have this ProHealth facility nearby. Even in these crazy times, the facility was, as always, clean, dependable and filled w caring employees.
I had called my primary for an appointment, thinking I had a severe sinus infection. Understandably, as some of my symptoms overlapped w COViD 19 symptoms (severe headache, dizziness, nausea), she asked me to go to a (different) urgent care instead. I knew better, and went to Pro-Health immediately. While I had the option to make an appointment online, they were running 3 days out, so I tried my luck, and walked in. I knew I could count on their safety protocols.
I was the only person in the large waiting room. There was a receptionist on the phone when I arrived, it wasn’t 5 seconds later that a second appeared, took my info (I wanted a rapid COVID 19 test first, in case). He apologetically explained that he would call me on my cell when it was time to come in. I laughed: under the circumstances, I expected to wait upwards of 3 hours! They texted me a link, and I filled out paperwork in the car, then rec’d a link letting me watch my exact place in line, in real time. Clearly, they have some staff dealing w walk-ins, and others with those w appts. I was called in less than 50 mins later!
This was my first COVID test, and we’ve all heard stories about that nasal/“brain” swab! This technician was thorough, but gentle. No sudden poke, but gentle twisting in both nostrils, sure to get at different parts of each nostril. I was asked to wait in the room for results, which came back (negative🤗) in less than a half hour.
The Dr who came in to follow up about my sinus infection was professional and personable. As I’d had no fever, and was already taking Flonase, he started me on a 6 day course of steroids. 2 1/2 days in, and I already see an improvement!!
I have used Pro-Health for years, whenever I was unable to see my primary. I have never once been disappointed. How they can handle the amount of people they are, while keeping patients apart, is nothing short of amazing!

I have been extremely sick for four days now and I have been here several times and I always had a great experience but this time they did not offer to take my temperature or check my oxygen all they did was take my blood pressure The doctor did listen to my breathing and then they give me a shot and the doctor told me he was going to give me some medicine they did not do an x-ray on my chest which is extremely congested and feels like I have a horse on top of me it was late when I got there and I understand they were tired and ready to go home but still yet when a sick person comes in you would think they would take care of them as they would if it was in the morning. I was very disappointed and I am still very sick and will probably end up having to go to the hospital maybe that’s where I should’ve went to begin with but I will not use Sevierville Hospital so I have to go to Knoxville and I have no energy and really don’t know that I want to make that drive by myself. I know you can call an ambulance but I don’t feel like this is an emergency but if my breathing does not get better maybe it will be. I just feel like they could have done more as far as check me out instead of just giving me a shot and a Z pack and prednisone and sent me home. I really just feel like they should’ve checked my oxygen they should’ve checked my temperature and they should’ve at least done a chest x-ray I was just very disappointed this time. I recommend them because it is always been a good place but I’m trying to just make it out as the fact that they close at eight and I got there at seven so they were ready to go home. I tested negative for Covid but not that I want that Q-tip shoved up in my nose but I really don’t think they are testing right because it just barely went up in my nose. I feel like they should do a different type of Covid test if they don’t know how to put the Q-tip in the nasal and actually get a good swab. Just makes me wonder do I have Covid and have I exposed others so I am being very safe at home and staying away from everyone because I am so sick I have no energy and I really can’t drive right now. And I don’t really have anyone to help me because everyone has a life and it’s kind of hard to ask them to stop what they’re doing to take me to the doctor that may take hours you never know. I just thought that urgent care was my best bet because it has always been in the past this time I really just feel like they were done with the day and wanted out of there. If I’m not better in a few days I’m going to have to go to the hospital and I don’t want to. Then I will be exposed to all those germs that has been brought in there. I have a very low immune system and catch everything and anything so I’m scared to go to the hospital but at the same time if I get worse or do not get better I’m going to have to when I really feel like the urgent care could’ve helped me better than they did.

It was the most caring and friendly hospital visit I’ve ever had, I’m very stubborn about going to clinic’s, they make me nervous and I feel like just another number on there to do list, but the Next Care Urgent Care in Arvada made me feel like I was a long time friend of the family, it was very neat and organized, and they asked if I could stay 15-20min after my treatment to make sure the shot I received didn’t make me nauseous, and they spent extra time to explain everything that was wrong with me, and answered all my questions without looking at me like I was delaying there day, and the gentleman that checked me in was very professional and very polite, even with my worn out Medicaid card, he was looking at it like it was brand new, and helping other folks and taking care of the phone calls all at once without even missing a beat, and a smile on his face the whole time he did it, that takes pride and dedication to be able to do something like that, trust me on that because I have been to the doctor’s dozens of time’s in my life, and over the last 7yrs. I haven’t been to the clinics at all because of the the way I have been treated, but today’s visit that I wasn’t even going to go to made me feel like there are clinic’s that actually treat people like the way they would want to be treated if they were wearing someone else’s shoes, it definitely took all the stress and anxiety away from me about all the bad experiences I’ve had in the past, Thank You Very Much Next Care, You Folks Are Awesome. yours truly Bryan B.

Dr. Marco Vela excellent dr great sense if humor. I saw him fir the 1st time at Urgent care ❤ he took care if me and my pain in mt ears with antibiotics and a wonderful shot for pain. As for thw staff @ Urgent Care wonderful and polite. But staff at Dr Habers off the FRONT desk people and the off staff very RUDE. One of them told me i have to hear this all the time. I said well this should tell you something is not right.i told her its sad to hear yoy say this so i will maje sure Dr Milton hears about this cause he probably doesn’t even know whats happening in his off. We have been patients of his for over thirty plus yrs.

It was 10pm on a Friday night and I needed to see a Doctor. I looked online and randomly chose Reliant Urgent Care at LAX. I called several times and nobody answered. WTF? That doesn’t seem very Reliant to me. Not a good sign. I decided to go anyway.
So, I went to Reliant LAX Urgent Care expecting the worst. The very worst. How could it not be? It’s at LAX, right? Had to be All Bad.
I was so WRONG.
Filled out all the paperwork online before going. Walked in and the place was packed. Ugh! Went out to move my car, came back and was called 5 minutes later. NO long wait!
No other paperwork! Nurse walked into the exam room behind me. Doctor walked in 5 minutes later. Explained everything thoroughly -answered all my questions. Less than 5 minutes later, the “Shot” guy jabbed me with a dose of Antibiotics –painlessly! and done!
Every person that helped me was SUPER nice and knew how to do their job [for once]. Plus- the office was modern and nice and pleasant. ….and my visit was completely covered by insurance. (Medi Cal)
I don’t know these people and Nobody asked me to write this. We’re all quick to rag about incompetent terrible service, but it’s time people who do an outstanding job are commended. This was definitely not the grimey back alley morgue I convinced myself it was going to be. I’m so happy I chose this place.
**My only complaint: Fix the phone system. Reliant Urgent Care has several locations and they all have the same phone number. It was impossible to call them to find out if they were open or if they could even help me; or if they would accept my insurance. Someone needs to answer the phone. In an urgent situation I need to speak to someone who can assure me they’re going to do whatever they can to help.

I have so much to say about my experience this evening. This was our first visit here. Being a parent with a sick child is so stressful in itself. Dealing with all the technicalities of getting them scheduled, seen, treated and insure that they are receiving quality care always make this situation even more exhausting. The staff at Urgent Care for Children, Chattanooga completely irradiated all my added stress and anxieties tonight. From the online scheduling, to Robin welcoming us so warmly the moment we crossed the threshold. It was a late Friday evening which normally adds to the stress of assuring your child’s needs are met before options for care are limited and pharmacies are closing. We walked into the lobby and it felt like a warm hug. The facilities were immaculate. The medical staff quickly brought us back and listened intently to all of my concerns and made my daughter at ease immediately. After a throat swab not only my daughter but my very tired son who had to join is, got popsicles while we waited. Dr Pierce was so kind and very attentive. She payed such close attention to detail and was wonderful with my daughter. She was very knowledgeable about the issues we were having and validated all of my concerns. I then did the unthinkable!!! I waited five minutes and was able to have her prescription filled there. No driving to a second location, dragging a very tired 7 year old boy, and very uncomfortable 5 year old back out into the car to travel however far on a Friday night, only to drag them into another facility to WAIT for a prescription to be ready. I walked out into the parking lot and administered her first dose of antibiotics. She literally was checked in, evaluated, had labs, checked out and began treatment is 35 minutes. I can not say enough about my experience tonight.

I am a nurse who has spent my 22 year career working in a medical office/clinic, specifically family medicine, pediatrics and ob/gyn. I’d like to think that I am pretty knowledgeable with the internal workings of an office, and have experienced both well run and greatly mismanaged, even hostile work environments. When I say that my appointment today at AFC provided me with the best patient experience to date, I mean it wholeheartedly. From my first interaction with the kind front office staff, who didn’t immediately turn me away, despite it being explained to me
that their schedule was full. Instead they were professional and compassionate and sought out a provider to ask if it would be possible for me to be seen. That simple act of caring and effort they made for me spoke to the quality of this practice’s employees. I was given as appointment and was explained to that I may need to wait an hour. After being turned away from my primary doctor’s office and 3 other urgent care facilities already that day…and needing a medical exam, I was so grateful and had no issues with the wait. It was not 10 minutes of waiting before I was called back to the exam room to be seen, and was greeted again, with another professional and kind employee…the nurse who triaged me. She was friendly, skilled, patient, efficient and most of all, compassionate to my
needs. I was then greeted by the PA, who I only waited minutes to see. And again, I’m listened to by another employee of AFC who provided me with such kindness, professionalism and exceptional and efficient care. My appointment ended at the checkout receptionist, and for my fourth professional, kind, compassionate and positive interaction with this office’s staff. I can tell you that the owner/managers of AFC Fuquay Varina are stellar and it’s quite obvious that their staff love their workplace, and it absolutely makes the level of patient care top-notch! I will absolutely choose AFC exclusively in the future for my family and my urgent medical needs! Thank you all. ..I am truly grateful and over-satisfied with the care provided to me today.

I arrived at 8:30am so I could get in line. When I went into hallway I read a sign that said go back to your car & fill out paperwork. I tried to retrieve paperwork but couldn’t find it. I then called the office #. A very rude women asked if I had a Dr’s referral. She then rudely transferred me to a main # which was no help. I went back into hallway & waited in a line. Then one person said to someone you have to take photo of a code to get you paperwork. I then tried to get photo which took several try’s. I returned to my car & filled it out. It was lengthy & took some time. Finally I submitted it & received a note saying their were 0 patients ahead of me. So I went back into hallway. I looked threw the window on door & saw a patient filling out paperwork on a clip board. So I went in. The window urgent care lady came to window & explained to me I needed to wait in my car fit a text. She said all the rooms were occupied. She was nice. So I did but was concerned because I was the 2nd car there at 8:30am & had all these other patients before me. At 10:30am I was text to come in & go to room 8. So I checked in at window again & was told someone would come out to get me. I then was called to enter the room. The nurse was nice in asking me questions & taking vitals. I asked if I was to receive the regular test & she said yes. She also explained the wait period for results. I was given the test with a protruding stick going into each nostril for 7 seconds in each nostril. She said it would tickle but it didn’t. It was only slightly uncomfortable. Dr Lana then came in. She asked me questions & had me try to smell a alcohol swab. She was very nice & concerned. I felt confident & comfortable with the Dr & nurse. The Dr explained the patient letter sheets the nurse had given me. She was very thorough. At 11am I was released & able to go home.

Unfortunately I’ve had to visit the urgent care 5 times in the last 2 weeks for myself and two of my children. Thankfully every single time the staff has been amazing. I understand wait times are a part of the business so I will not complain, but the new check in system really helps especially with little kids it’s easier to complete rather than trying to complete the paper forms. The desk staff is always helpful and you never seem like your annoying them by asking questions (especially considering they are asked multiple times how much longer by patients every time I’ve gone, they never once had an attitude about it), the Doctors or PA’s are always friendly and personal which always helps cause trusting them with my toddler girls is my biggest concern and they never fail. Also, twice I went with my daughter with autism and both times they were so great and patient with her, one of the assistants especially there was friendly and walked her to the room even though she didn’t know she had autism and was having a moment, and it may seem small but being able to calm her in that situation is magic. It was another assistant helping us and when she saw her crying she just held out her hand and she walked my daughter to the room, which again I know seems simple, but with an autistic toddler it can turn into a much bigger issue in those surroundings. I’m sorry I don’t have names of everyone, but I recommend this urgent care to everyone. Even though my co-pay is more here I always prefer coming here than my doctors office. So thank you again for all the entire office does, and making my girls feel comfortable and happy. One last bit, when I first told my 3 year old I had to take her to the doctor she cried and cried, saying “no doctor no doctor”, the second time we went she literally was happy going in…. to the doctor, and I know it was all thanks to that assistant that walked her to the room the first time. Due to my primary care not being honest with me and not giving my break down of blood work to see my red cells-white cells-sugar and platelits since April. I finally flipped out at her office last week to get all bloodwork and urine done. I have had*** my ocf sugar in my liver and she came out with fTty kicerdeseace. Then came out with my white cell count was wY too high. She called in April or May and said all your results came back negative but the lab was contaminated. !! What would you think? Your samples were contaminated and you needNew order for blood and urine. I now get my testing done at urgent care for anything as Brookside Medical has turned me totally off. It is run under Scott Wilson but he has never met me. I go to a PAKristen Meegan that does not listen to my needs. I feel now she has given me so many drugs I sleep during the day and up all night. I have decided to change DR’sand go to Lincoln Urgent Care. Get my full annual there, adjust my meds and get all new testing done again. Brookside called and asked me for my annual they did not have anyo record that I had my mammogram done. I had my bone density done. And I had my Pap smear done HELLO. Any other Dr I went to in past years would have that faxed right to them. Long story short I will go to Brookside and tell them how terrible they are. They have too many patients-***-a d not enough staff and still taking new pAtients. I could tell you ugly stories of people that were in Brookside office that did not get medicine in time-2- weeks late and a woman’r husband had a heart attack. To end this story stay away from Brookside Medical. I will be going to Lonv

Today’s visit at Urgent Care North Hills location was overall excellent. Everyone I have encountered today provided the highest customer service which I wanted to express my deepest thank you so I would like to provide a rave review on all of them.
Brenda at the front desk was very attentive and got me checked in rather quickly upon my arrival which surprised me.She was very polite and well mannered and even graciously helped me with my inquiry after my appointment. She spoke with clarity and communicated very well.
Ruby was my nurse and she was a sweetheart. She gave me thorough directions for my lab work and communicated clearly the directions as well. She even checked up on me while I sat waiting for a while for my results and followed up with my nurse practitioner without me even having to request that. Also she provided me with a refreshing cup of water again without me having to ask which I needed since I was parched while waiting.That is top notch customer service!
Erica was my x ray technician and she explained clearly to me what was going on and how she would proceed and eased my nerves.She had a friendly demeanor and made sure my xrays were what they needed to be and got me in and out quickly and effectively.
Marissa was my nurse practitioner and I must say she must be the most thorough gentle hearted nurse practitioner that I have ever encountered at an urgent care. I have been to urgent cares all my life and have never encountered such thoroughness and patience for all my questions. She reassured me of my concerns and requested labs to be performed for all my issues. In my prior experiences my visits with urgent cares have been just verbal consultations so I have much appreciation for Marissa and what she provided for me today and express my deepest gratitude.
I wish there was some way to thank all these lovely ladies directly for their great patience and friendly demeanor and excellent customer service especially during this critical time. If you can please reward them and keep up the great work in hiring wonderful human beings who are taking care of us out there. I have much appreciation for all of you.

I went to the Glendora, CA Urgent Care location on 5/14/21 at approx. 6:00 pm for relief from severe itching, sneezing & other debilitating symptoms caused by my seasonal allergies. I was greeted by the woman seated at the front desk immediately & brought into an exam room as soon as I checked in, since there were no other patients in the waiting area at the time I arrived, which I was very grateful for. All of the staff & I were wearing masks for Covid safety, which I also appreciated. The woman at the front desk was polite & efficient. The man (nurse?) who greeted me, weighed me & gave me an injection was friendly & kind, & even seemed to remember me from my last visit to this office in February with the same symptoms. Even though he was polite & totally professional, it was very embarrassing for me to have a young man weigh me & give me an injection in my bottom. I guess I’m old-fasioned & very shy, because I would have preferred a woman nurse, at least to give me the shot, or to be asked if I had a preference, or had a woman present in the room when he injected me. When he took my blood pressure, the sleeve was very tight on my arm & hurt quite a bit. He apologized for this. The PA I saw, Tallin Martirossian, was very kind, comforting & prompt. After my injection, she instructed me to wait 10 minutes before I left the office, which I did. Unfortunately, about 20 minutes later, when I went to the CVS store next door to fill my prescription, I had a very bad reaction to the shot I got (a steroid). I had excruciating pain on the site of the injection (very high on my bottom/lower back/hip) & up my back. I felt like I was going to vomit or faint. I had to find a chair in the store to sit down. I was in so much pain, that I had to call my husband to drive to CVS from our home, to walk with me back to the Urgent Care office to see the doctor again. It was a very scary & upsetting experience. I have never had such a bad reaction to an injection before, not even to the two Covid vaccine shots that I received in April. And I have received steroid shots for my severe allergy symptoms many times in my life, with no severe pain afterward. The PA & the male nurse/assistant were both concerned & caring when my husband & I returned to their office. They allowed me to lay down on the exam table in an exam room, asked relevant questions & offered me water. However, the PA did not explain what caused my severely painful reaction to the shot. I was in too much pain to ask questions. Thankfully, after about 30 minutes laying down in the exam room, my pain subsided & I was able to walk out of the office with my husband at about 7:30 pm, 90 minutes after I first walked in.
In spite of my very painful & scary reaction to the injection I received, I would still return to this Urgent Care office, due to the staff’s promptness (almost zero wait time!), kindness & attentiveness. I don’t blame the staff for the pain I experienced, although I did wonder if the shot would have hurt as badly if the male nurse had injected me lower on my bottom. But I didn’t pull my pants down very far due to my embarrassment & he seemed sensitive to this!
One suggestion: when the assistant & PA/doctor first greet patients in the reception area, at the scale, & exam room, they should ALL INTRODUCE THEMSELVES & state their title/job. (“I’m Mike & I’m an EMT. I’m Susan & I’m a Physician’s Assistant.”) This should be a standard practice at ALL doctor’s offices, especially Urgent Care clinics. It can be uncomfortable & scary being treated by a complete stranger.
I also received a presciption at this appt., which I was grateful for. The PA seemed to have a record of my previous visit there, which I appreciated. So overall, I would rate my experience at this office a 3 out of 5 stars, or 7 out of 10! And I will go back there if necessary, even though I had such a painful reaction to the injection.
I hope this long review is helpful to you in providing excellent service to all patients at your Urgent Care. They provide an important service to the Glendora community. Thank you!

I do not know the names of the 3 that took care of my 3 year old daughter yesterday evening. I was so full of anxiety from no sleep in a few days and being so worried why she was so sick and in so much pain. We went to another multicare urgent care in the morning and the ARNP that was on the floor said her ears were so impacted with hardened wax he couldn’t even see if there was an infection. My daughter was visibly miserable and told me that the only option is to do an ear wash but he advised against it because it would be so painful that even adults can’t handle it and he sent us on our way with “give her some Tylenol”. Fast forward to coming to wood creek convenience care the ARNP on floor that evening, he assured me they would be able to take care of the ear wash and check for infection to get her healed up. We were in and out in a short amount of time. While the ear wash was scary for a moment, they treated her with such care she was thanking them for helping her ears feel better as they were working on it. He apologized whole heartedly for the way we were left so discouraged that morning especially since they are both multicare facilities.
So please, whoever reads these reviews, please please please recognize the staff from the evening of January 15th for finally helping my baby girl. Thank you for being so kind to an overly frazzled mama. You guys are the real deal! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

I’m leaving a review because although my overall experience was great both of the 2 times I have gone to this urgent care I have had great difficulty filling my prescriptions that the doctor gives me due to the urgent care not completing procedure on their end to fulfill the needs of the Veterans Affairs Urgent Care Benefit Criteria. Both the pharmacy and the insurance have to end up calling the urgent care themselves to try to get them to fix it. I am using the Veteran’s Affairs urgent care system benefit and that only allows the release of the medications if the urgent care contacts the insurance to inform them I have come in for the urgent care visit. I even gave the front desk a heads up that this was a issue last time and that I hoped it wouldn’t happen again because it really does tie up the rest of the process before I went in for my appointment but when I went to collect my medications I found out it happened again. I was left waiting at the pharmacy for 3 hours while the pharmacist tried to contact everyone, we even called the urgent care and they said they would do it but it wasn’t completed. I decided to then not call back again and try to coordinate between the three parties again and go back and forth for hours because the last time I had done that it took me a combined 9 hours and 3 days. I paid without insurance for my medicine which was expensive because I am sick and I am tired. Next time I go in I really need to talk to the person who is responsible for putting this part in so that I dont have to keep going through this. It is very much avoidable. I know it is a new and confusing program but I would be more than happy to get them on the phone with the person who can teach them the proper steps to submit the protocol for the Veterans Affairs insurance. I was on hold for 30 minutes the last time the insurance rep explained it to someone over there.

I will start off by saying I have used this urgent care a few times and have been extremely happy with the care we have received. However, this one is a different story. I made an appointment due to high fevers, body aches, and chest discomfort of 5 days. The sweet LPN who took care of me listened to my concerns. She decided to swab me for the flu. As she was taking my swab to get tested the APN opened the door to our room. She was speaking to the LPN she said “did you get a PCR on her, this is probably COVID, not the flu”. I had explained to the APN that I had just tested negative for COVID two days ago, that I really did not think that’s what this was. She got a rapid COVID test which was negative. She then said she would send it off for PCR and that it would probably be positive and that’s what we were dealing with. I asked her for a chest X-ray. She stated “your lungs sound fine”. She offered to draw blood work, I agreed. She sent us on our way telling us it was most likely COVID and that we would get the results tomorrow. My husband left from the urgent care and brought me to the ED where I am admitted for double pneumonia and having a sepsis work up. I’m glad I advocated for myself and didn’t settle for a COVID diagnosis. If I would of waited too much longer I’m scared about how much worse it would of gotten. I think it’s always wise to listen to your patients and not jump to one conclusion so fast ( and yes I have been fully vaccinated for COVID as well). But I am thankful for the sweet LPN who seemed as she was concerned!

Awesome Experience! Efficient, Professional, clean, friendly and Safe!!! I went in during the major explosion of Covid.
Masks REQUIRED! To prevent contamination, the stafff asked me to wait in my car and would send me a text when they were ready for me. I had went to Fast med and they had told me they could not see me as they were too busy and they had over a 5 hour wait. The ER when I called said 5-9 hours. I did have to wait about 45 minutes, but had a super efficient visit. I was called in taken straight to an exam room where I could still smell the cleaning agents. After a brief history of my problem, the nurse left and provider was in after a short wait. The provider was super friendly , very, very thorough ( spent about 15 minutes with me, then sent me across the hallway (5 steps) to the lab where the lab gal did her thing and also took a chest film then I was back in the room. Within about 15 more minutes the provider was back in , reviewed my findings and said he would electronically send in my RX, and reviewed a discharge summary with me as well as emailing a copy of my visit to my email. I can not say enough about the quality of this office and would definitely return when I am in need! Forest Hills Immediate Care is the top urgent Care facility in town, I will be establishing there as a new primary care patient as they are one of the few clinics from what I have seen that accepts new patients.

I am so very BLESSED! Dr. Ann helped me sooo much!! I am in Urgent Care, (it seems like) at least 2-3 times a month. I am mentally and physically disabled, a Single Parent and I have 3 children. I was in there for 1 1/2 hours, due to everything being my fault. Dr. Ann was the only Doctor that was able to find the true cause of my sickness. I have been sick for 2 months, even went to TMC a few weeks ago. All along, the fevers, pain in my head, not sleeping, and sore throat, wasn’t “Viral”. It was from an Ear Infection that had 2 months of dried up blood, (that turned black and hard) in my Ear Canal. She took up so much of her time on me, that I PRAY TO GOD, that HE Blesses her! All this time. Since July 17th, my birthday. I had gotten a “Daith piercing” to stop migraines from the TBI. Well, I blood a lot from the piercing, and when she said “she couldn’t see inside my ear because of the Wax buildup”, I told her the truth. I went into Urgent Care thinking I had the Covid, or Mono (Dr. Ann just diagnosed my 17 year old with it 6 days ago) and it was neither one. My Ear was infected. It took her 1 1/2 hours to get 6 pieces of, (what looked like) black coal out of my Ear Canal. It was actually 2 months of dried up blood. I’m cannot THANK Dr. Ann or the entire Staff, enough! My eldest sister, is Dr. Annie Pearson. I do hope one day they can meet because my own sister was shocked that TMC didn’t catch it! GOOD JOB Urgent Care for hiring Dr. Ann at Old Spanish Trail in Tucson, Arizona!!!!! Thank you, Maureen Pearson

I have know Dan Murtha thru business networking, many years. He has always dine amazing work with overall operation. I got to witness that when I set up and had a COVID test. I called s few days ahead, to schedule. The lovely female staff member instructed me that if I fo online to register the day before (8am is when schedule is set up for next day) that I should be able to get 3 appts in together, without trouble. Wed, I had alittle difficulty registering my hubby. I called and spoke to Clinical staff member Erica. She assisted me with online registration. I was stressed with the idea that my hubby had been exposed to the virus, and myself and my mother in law also had to be tested. I wanted to make sure that all 3 of us were tested in 10 min time frames consecutively. Erica was compassionate to my needs, registering us from her end. I was able to fill out insurance from my phone easily. I liked how I was informed via text, and could check my wait time. I arrived 20 mins early, and did not have a long wait time. Outside of building looked clean and neat. Inside was decorated in relaxing neutral colors with a modern feel. Immaculate! Very large waiting area allowed seating to be properly spaced, and then some! Aliki Galandos took our info from car, called us to come in, and brought us back to complete testing. She was patient, answering all of our questions cheerfully. She explained process and allowed time for any other questions.(first time for all of us!). She explained timing of pcr test results, and how to retrieve them thru Lab Corp online. Excellent experience. We left extremely satisfied. I have always referred family and friends to this Urgent Care since I met Dan, and saw his passion regarding his extremely well run front end staff and clinical team. This week I got to witness the great care myself, and I was not disapointed!

• When changing a diaper, clean the vulva and the skin in the inguinal and gluteal folds of the child each time using special alcohol-free sanitary napkins. It is these undissolved crystals that, when in contact with the most delicate skin of a child, will give an inevitable burn . And that is why potassium permanganate should be diluted in a transparent glass, and not in the bathroom – in the bath (especially in the anatomical one, where the bottom is of a complex shape with depressions and protrusions), you may not notice the crystals, but they are very clearly visible in the glass. Stir the solution in a beaker, and control the sediment until the last grain of potassium permanganate disappears. The solution is ready. Pour it into a bath filled with water. The water should turn out transparent, slightly pink. The duration of the hygienic bath is 5 minutes, the water temperature is + 36.5…+ 37.0 °C. Water should not enter the nose and mouth. At the end of the bath, the baby is poured with water, the temperature of which is 0.5-1 degrees lower than the temperature of the water in the bath. After bathing, the child’s skin is dried (but not wiped!) with a towel or diaper made of soft cotton fabric with blotting movements.

Umbilical cord care.

After discharge from the maternity hospital, the umbilical cord remains untreated, kept clean and dry, disappears naturally. After childbirth, the umbilical cord becomes hard, darkens and dries quickly when exposed to air. Falling off of the umbilical cord occurs on the 5-15th day after the birth of the child, sometimes later.

When managing the umbilical cord, it is necessary: ​​

• Hand washing before and after all manipulations with the child
• Leave cord open to air or cover with clean, loose clothing. The diaper must not cover the rest of the umbilical cord until it falls off
• Avoid contact with urine or fat. If urine or feces get into the place of the umbilical cord, it is necessary to rinse the umbilical cord and the area adjacent to it with water, dry it dry with blotting movements with a clean towel or diaper.
• It is important to use only water for washing, as the use of other substances may interfere with the natural healing process. The use of lotions, antiseptics or powder (powder) to treat the umbilical cord is not required. Dry cotton should not be used to care for the umbilical cord, as it may leave lint on it, which can cause infection

After the umbilical residue falls off, the umbilical wound must be treated twice a day until it is completely healed. To do this, twist the flagellum out of cotton wool, wet it with boiled water (physiological saline, sea water or preparations based on them), gently screw it into the child’s nose, removing crusts. Each nasal passage is cleaned in turn. Use a separate flagellum for each nostril. In no case should cotton swabs be used to clean the nose.

Ears. In the first weeks of a newborn’s life, it is not necessary to clean the ear canals from sulfur. But you need to pay attention to the skin behind the ears. In newborns, the ears are pressed tightly to the head, so they need to be carefully folded back and, if necessary, the skin should be cleaned with baby wipes.

After each urination and bowel movement, the child should be washed under running water. After that, the child must be put on the changing table, pat the skin dry and apply baby cream or powder on it. Girls need to be washed in the direction from the pubis to the priest, to prevent feces from entering the vagina. The first period of a child’s life is considered the period of his adaptation to the environment. During all nine months of pregnancy, the baby is in a very comfortable environment for him, he receives everything he needs from the mother’s body. A mother who is breastfeeding should eat fully and not exclude any food from her diet (with the exception of absolutely harmful food for the baby – smoked meats, fast food, alcohol, etc.), even if the child has colic.

Child care during the first months of life

Baby care in the first months is very simple and does not require any special knowledge and skills. In the first place is love and patience, this is very important. Family support is very important, the mother should only take care of the child, all other family chores should be taken over by other family members.

Breastfeeding – in the first place among everything a child needs in the first year of life. Better than breast milk, nothing has yet been invented. Successful breastfeeding requires early attachment of the baby to the breast, this is usually done within 2 hours after birth. The first application is not a meal, it is the start of lactation.

It is also very important that the child and mother are together for 24 hours a day. After discharge from the hospital with the child, you also need to spend as much time as possible. Night feedings are especially important, because it is at night that the feeding hormone prolactin is produced, which contributes to full lactation.

Correct attachment of the baby to the breast is very important. It is very good if, even before the birth, the mother attended breastfeeding courses and has a fairly clear idea of ​​\u200b\u200bhow to properly attach the baby to the breast. It is normal if the baby will demand a breast every hour. This does not mean that the mother has little milk and the baby is not full. He just cannot eat more during one feeding, so the feeling of hunger comes quickly.

As he grows older, the intervals between feedings will increase. By about a month, the child himself determines the regimen that is optimal for him; it is not necessary to stimulate the appearance of the regimen.

Until the age of six months, the baby should not receive any other food than milk.

Until six months, the baby does not need to be given milk, tea or any other liquid: the mother’s breast milk has everything he needs. Very rarely there is a need to supplement the child – this may be recommended by the doctor after a detailed examination and weighing of the baby, with a reasonable suspicion of a lack of breast milk.

Do not give your baby water before six months. The exception is an illness with high fever or problems with the digestive tract (vomiting and / or diarrhea and loss of fluid due to this). In such cases, the child can and should be given water.

Follow the optimal conditions in the room: the air temperature should be 22-24 C, humidity – at least 50%. Do not create greenhouse conditions for the baby! However, you should not forget about the safety of the child.

Without exception, all mothers are worried about whether they will be able to provide their child with the care necessary for his healthy growth: properly bathe the baby, cut off his nails, treat the umbilical wound.

Therefore, before mothers have time to cross the threshold of their home, they have many questions about caring for a child: is it worth washing the baby after each urination, what is the best way to treat the navel: brilliant green or calendula tincture?

Today we will try to find answers to the main questions about the hygiene of the child and talk about the basic procedures for daily care of the baby.
Newborn’s morning toilet

Like every person, a baby should wash his face in the morning, of course, his mother should help him in this.

After the newborn wakes up, strip him naked, let him lie naked for a while – this is good for the baby’s skin. Then carefully examine the baby, check for redness on the skin, prickly heat. If there is, then prepare a baby cream to lubricate problem areas after washing the baby.

The baby is washed with cotton pads soaked in warm boiled water. Washing the newborn is carried out from top to bottom.
Rub your baby’s eyes from the outside to the inside. For the hygiene of each eye, it is recommended to take a new cotton pad.
Gently wipe the child’s face, ears – outside, skin behind the ears, neck with a damp cotton pad.
Listen to the baby’s breathing, it should be free. If breathing is difficult, clear your baby’s nose. To do this, you can use a special saline solution for children under one year old and an aspirator (a device that helps suck out mucus).
You can also use two small cotton swabs soaked in baby oil to remove scabs from your nose. The flagella must be carefully inserted alternately into each nostril of the child’s nose and scrolled several times. If the baby’s nose breathes well, then it does not need to be cleaned.
Then it is necessary to wipe all the folds of the baby’s skin with a damp cotton pad, change the child’s dirty diaper to a clean one, washing the baby or using baby wipes to cleanse the skin.

Care of the umbilical wound

During the newborn period, the umbilical wound is a special place on the body of a child, it requires careful care.
As a rule, the umbilical wound is treated once a day, you can do this after bathing, when all the crusts are soaked from the water and the mucus is washed out.

How to treat the navel of a newborn? There are several ways to treat the umbilical wound, each of them is quite effective: dry the navel for a few minutes;

• treatment of the navel with hydrogen peroxide and antiseptic (chlorhexidine, baneocin, levomekol, iodine, brilliant green, alcohol-based chlorophyllipt) – to treat the navel, take two cotton swabs, dip one in peroxide, the other in antiseptic, first treat the navel with peroxide , with which we wash all the crusts from the navel, and then with an antiseptic.

Advice on which navel treatment is usually given by the nurses at the maternity hospital, as well as by the health visitor who will visit your baby during the first month of life.

Important! If you notice that the skin around the umbilical wound is inflamed, be sure to consult a doctor.
If you see that the umbilical wound does not heal within a month, it is better to take the child to the doctor. Usually, up to 14 days of life, the umbilical residue disappears and the wound heals.

Washing the newborn

Wash your baby under running water after each bowel movement.

It is convenient to wash your newborn like this:
Place your baby on your left palm with his stomach facing you or with his back on your forearm with his head facing you.
Place the child’s lower body under running water.
Lather baby’s buttocks and genitals with baby soap (liquid soap for babies is better, it’s easier to use).
Then rinse the soap thoroughly with water, pat the baby’s skin dry with a towel or diaper.
If the baby has just urinated into the diaper, then you can not wash it, but use wet wipes when changing the diaper. Choose special baby wipes that are fragrance- and alcohol-free.
Changing diapers

Most often, mothers use disposable diapers for baby care. There are a few simple rules that are important to follow in this case:

When using them, remember that the child should not be in one disposable diaper for more than 4 hours.
Put on a diaper for a newborn so that the umbilical cord is not covered. This is necessary for the fastest healing of the umbilical wound.

It is desirable that a few hours a day the baby just lie on the diaper without a diaper, so that the skin can breathe.

Bathing a newborn

All mothers are interested in the question: when can you start bathing a child after discharge from the hospital?

“You can bathe the child immediately after discharge, but if you have been vaccinated with BCG, but within a day or two after the vaccination, it is better not to bathe the child so as not to wet the injection site.”

After the umbilical wound has healed, you can already bathe the child in a regular bath in tap water, gradually increasing the bathing time from 5 minutes to 30-40.

Every day while bathing the child, it is necessary to wash his genitals and buttocks, 1-2 times a week you need to wash the whole baby with soap, and also wash the child’s head with a special baby shampoo.

Important! Always bathe your child with the bathroom door open, because this child will not be so cold after you take him out of the water, as the temperature difference will not be too big.

Each time the baby should be lowered into the water slowly, starting from the legs. In the water it is necessary to support the entire body of the child. If water gets into the baby’s ears or eyes while bathing, it’s not scary, it’s quite natural!

From the first days of life, you can start easy hardening of the child. To do this, before you start bathing the baby, prepare and place a vessel with water in the bathroom, the temperature of which will be 0.5-1 degrees lower than the temperature of the water in the bath. At the end of the bath, pour water over the child from this vessel.

After bathing the baby, blot with a diaper or towel, but do not dry it, as this procedure can damage the delicate baby skin.

You also need to prepare two small cotton buds and gently twist them into the baby’s ears so that the cotton absorbs the water that got into the ears during the bath. After the baby’s skin is dry, it is advisable to treat the folds with baby oil.
Newborn Nail Care

Baby nails need to be cared for 1-2 times a week, because baby nails grow very quickly. To cut nails, you need to purchase special scissors with rounded ends. On the legs, the nails should be cut evenly, and on the hands – rounding the edges.
Walking with a baby

In summer, you can walk with your baby the day after you leave the maternity hospital. It is advisable to protect the child from direct sunlight. It is better to go for a walk in the summer either in the morning (before 10 am) or in the evening (after 6 pm), at this time it is not so hot.

In winter, walks are recommended to start 2-3 days after discharge from the hospital. If the temperature outside is below 10 degrees, it is better not to go for a walk with the baby.

The first walk should be very short – 10-15 minutes. Then every day it is worth walking for 10 minutes longer.
