Meet Katie Mckinzie! She is the Center Director at Stonegate I KinderCare in Parker, Colorado. Katie attended Red Rocks Community College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree; and Colorado Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She has been with KinderCare since 2019, and before that she was a teacher and an administrator. “If you learn from your mistakes, they are no longer mistakes, but lessons.
” Outside of work, Katie enjoys camping, four wheeling, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with

classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom.
Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)
Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that
comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small
class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun.
The basic building
blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we
make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re

back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
Spanish
Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to

I cannot say enough great things about KinderCare and their staff.
We put our daughter in another privately owned center when we first moved to Colorado. It was her first time in full-time childcare, and within a month I had to pull her out because of issues I had with staff and the quality of care and curriculum. The afternoon I withdrew her, I walked into KinderCare and was immediately thrilled and extremely impressed. Dusti and Melissa were unbelievably kind and supportive of our situation. They were flexible, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in what WE were looking for, rather than telling me what they could offer. From that day forward I could see that they are involved with every family and child, from day one. They are always available, and if I ever have a question or concern, or need anything at all, I am immediately met with support and action. In the classroom, her teachers have far surpassed my expectations as well. We left all family behind and moved from Oregon to Colorado suddenly. My daughter entered childcare full-time for the the first time, and had been battling several potty-training challenges due to a gastrointestinal disorder she has had since birth. With so many obstacles, I was nervous sending her anywhere. However, her teachers have worked with her on every single level to make her feel comfortable and loved, and have done everything her specialist has asked regarding her disorder. They have bent over backwards and gone above and beyond to make sure we are following every step and alteration to the plan put in place by the doctor. I truly believe that because of Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Christina, she has overcome all of these obstacles and absolutely loves going to school. She is fully potty trained and no longer struggles the way she had since she was born. I attribute their encouragement and support to the majority of her success and excitement. Lastly, the curriculum put in place by KinderCare is exactly what we were looking for. I was initially nervous about going the “corporate” route with our childcare, but quickly realized what a superior setting it is compared to a private center. She is consistently challenged on all levels, and especially loves the art projects. They are highly developed and detailed, and everything they do centers around learning. She went from regressing drastically during the short time she was at the private center, to learning things I had no idea a 2-year-old could grasp. I am amazed daily with what she learns at school because of their curriculum, structure and staff. Everything they teach is created by professionals and customized to fit the individuals and classroom dynamic. I love that her teachers are able to take a highly developed core plan and make it work specifically for her and her friends, based on their needs and personalities. One of the best features, is that with every project comes with photos of my child creating her work. It is wonderful to see her so happy and involved, even when I can’t be there personally. I have been a parent with KinderCare since 2012 and it has been an extremely fulfilling experience for our entire family. My oldest was 4 and my youngest at the time was 18 months and had never been away from me. All the staff was so welcoming and truly cared about how my babies felt. They kept me informed of everything going on with them and have been a consistent partner in helping me raise my children.
On the days they can’t go to KinderCare they get sad and can’t wait to go back. They offer parents night out once a month and an awesome summer program for school agers. My kids are very attached to their teachers. So much, my 4 year old wanted to go to his teacher’s house to make her soup when she was sick, and half the time my son calls me Ms. Carrie (so cute!).
When we started attending KinderCare we were living in North Denver and have since moved to Parker just so our kids could stay at KinderCare. A lot of the teachers and the directors have their own children at the center so you know that your child will be well cared for because they trust them with their own kids. We put our daughter in another privately owned center when we first moved to Colorado. It was her first time in full-time childcare, and within a month I had to pull her out because of issues I had with staff and the quality of care and curriculum. My daughter entered childcare full-time for the the first time, and had been battling several potty-training challenges due to a gastrointestinal disorder she has had since birth.
With so many obstacles, I was nervous sending her anywhere. However, her teachers have worked with her on every single level to make her feel comfortable and loved, and have done everything her specialist has asked regarding her disorder. They have bent over backwards and gone above and beyond to make sure we are following every step and alteration to the plan put in place by the doctor. I truly believe that because of Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Christina, she has overcome all of these obstacles and absolutely loves going to school. She is fully potty trained and no longer struggles the way she had since she was born. I attribute their encouragement and support to the majority of her success and excitement. Lastly, the curriculum put in place by KinderCare is exactly what we were looking for. I was initially nervous about going the “corporate” route with our childcare, but quickly realized what a superior setting it is compared to a private center. She is consistently challenged on all levels, and especially loves the art projects.
They are highly developed and detailed, and everything they do centers around learning. She went from regressing drastically during the short time she was at the private center, to learning things I had no idea a 2-year-old could grasp. I am amazed daily with what she learns at school because of their curriculum, structure and staff. Everything they teach is created by professionals and customized to fit the individuals and classroom dynamic. I love that her teachers are able to take a highly developed core plan and make it work specifically for her and her friends, based on their needs and personalities. One of the best features, is that with every project comes with photos of my child creating her work. It is wonderful to see her so happy and involved, even when I can’t be there personally. After touring eight different centers in Parker, and seeing what an incredible difference this center has had in our lives, I would recommend Dusti and Melissa’s KinderCare to absolutely anyone. I am fully confident in our decision to send my daughter there, and honestly could not be happier with our choice!

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

Parker is a symbol of the wealth of their owners. Rarely a millionaire or
The billionaire does without this stylish accessory. But it wouldn’t exist if George Parker didn’t create 130
years ago in Shallsburg, Wisconsin, his Parker Pen Company.
George Safford Parker
was born on November 1, 1863 in the same Schallsberg. Nothing is known about his parents and childhood. He became a teacher at the Janesville Telegraph School when he was 17 years old. Of what Parker
I earned money there, I didn’t have enough to live on, so I had to get a second job
job – at The John Holland Fountain Pen Company
selling fountain pens. Although
George tried very hard to make good sales, the pens had a lot of technical
shortcomings, and they also needed constant care and regular repairs. Buyers
complained a lot, and Parker had to repair them himself in order not to
lose people’s trust. As a result, his reputation as a salesman soared. But
the future businessman did not want to endlessly fix, he decided to design and
build your own fountain pen. In 1889Parker patented his
invention, and in March 1892 officially registered the Parker Pen company
company. The pens had an innovative Lucky Curve ink supply system for the time, thanks to the curved
tube and capillary retention, the ink did not leak or dry out. With the help of this technical solution, sales of Parker pens have increased significantly.
The company has been operating for 7
Years when Parker came up with the Jointless pen, it used the same Lucky technology
Curve, there were no fragile threaded connections and joints inside that could
leak. May 1904 George received
patent for the invention of a new filling system with which feather
pens could be filled without a pipette. Parker went on a world tour
way by creating foreign branches of his company. The first one was opened in
Scandinavia. He also developed the Button Filling System,
before that, ink was poured into the pen with a pipette. Now to use the handles was
much more convenient.
First Parker from
gold and sterling silver appeared in 1908, which today are considered
valuable collectibles. In the same year, Parker’s factory in
Janesville became the world’s largest pen manufacturer. After 6 years, the first son joined the company
George Parker Russell, and after another 5 years, the second son – Kenneth, to focus on marketing. AT
Janesville, the construction of an administrative building began, it was
Parker headquarters until 1986.
Twentieth century
was marked by the appearance of a number of Parker models. Parker’s
Trench was intended for soldiers, inside it was dry ink, in
who needed to add water to write. Then the company released Black giant – a huge pen with a sliding cap and
smooth cut. She was very popular for 15 years, until she was
stopped producing. Parker Duofold received
bright orange rugged case, large size, cost $7 and had a 25 year old
guarantee.
Another engineer
The breakthrough in the fountain pen segment came in 1933 with the introduction of the Parker vacumatic with a filling mechanism that held twice
more ink compared to Parker
Duofold. But everything does not go smoothly, in the same year Russell died of an illness.
Parker, George has been deeply shaken by this loss. Immersed in sadness, he moved away from
affairs, and then retired. Parker Sr. died in July 1937 in a Chicago hospital.
Parker 51 – the most recognizable
pen appeared at 1941 years old. It used
aero-metric filler, so you can write on airplanes with pressure drops
on takeoff and landing. Parker production
51 ceased in 1972.
The first Parker jotter ballpoint pen was released in 1954
year, thanks to a capacious rod, she wrote 5 times longer than conventional counterparts.
During the year, more than 3.5 million of these pens were sold.
Top selling pen
became the Parker 45 in the world: in the first 20 years, sales exceeded 75 million
copies.
In 1983 appeared
the Parker premier collection of luxurious writing aids are real works of art, covered with noble
metals, they cost from 75 to 3 thousand pounds.
Parker’s 100th Anniversary
The Pen Company celebrated in 1988. In honor of this, the company provided pen
Parker Duofold pens to honorary delegates of the economic
G7 summit in Toronto, Canada.

Duofold added the gorgeous Pearl & Black in 1992 with 88 ink colors. A year later Parker Pen
Company teamed up with The Gillette Company to become even stronger and
increase market share.
Parker has been a subsidiary since 2000
American company Newell Rubbermaid. Currently brand pens and accessories
produced in four factories located in England, France, India and China.
The main part of the pens is produced in the UK and France. There are also
stand-alone profile production, which creates ink and rods. At

author of detective stories about the famous Sherlock Holmes, at 1922 wrote

Candace herself dreamed of becoming a football player, like her idol Mia Hamm, who played on the US women’s team. Basketball at first did not attract her, including because there was too much of it around, but in her teens, Candice decided to change her plans. This was influenced by the success of her brother Anthony, who by that time had entered the Nets and was later bought by the Philadelphia 76ers.
The first coach of the athlete was her father. Training was difficult and often exhausting: according to Parker, if her father did not like the way she played, he could silently get into the car and leave, and she had to run home. During this period of “competitive lull”, in 2010, Parker signed a contract with the Yekaterinburg UMMC (women’s basketball team), in which she played several times in the off-season of the women’s national basketball league and even became the winner of the Russian Women’s Basketball Cup.
