Community Health Centers – Washington State Local Health Insurance – CHPW
Find out how our network of community health centers can help your health and find health care near you.
Explore Your Clinics
The Public Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) has a large network of doctors and clinics throughout the state. But we have a unique partnership with our Community Health Centers (CHCs) that goes back almost 30 years.
CHPW was founded in 1992 by the Washington CHC group. They have come together to form a health care plan that shares their goal of providing access to health care for Washington residents.
What are health centers and how are they different from other clinics?
- These clinics are part of the social health care system. CHC does not turn anyone away based on their ability to pay for treatment.
- Statewide CHPW Network More than 190 clinics operate within 21 ARCs.
- No two health centers are exactly the same, and you can get health care regardless of your immigration status.
Medical centers offer a wide range of doctors and services.
CHPW works with 21 partner CHCs. These CHCs operate over 190 locations where you can get primary care from over 3,100 providers. In addition, CHCs provide access to medical specialists, and some offer dental, vision, and mental health services.
CHCs offer services tailored to you
Because they are designed to serve the communities in which they operate, CHCs can provide personalized services you won’t find in any clinic.
